After what feels like years of falling through the void, Martha and Andor wake up in what appears to be a forest with firelight coming from a nearby clearing. Confused, they head towards it and are greeted by two pirates, neither of whom they've met before and one of whom Martha is pretty sure is meant to be dead. Capsize and Redbeard greet the newcomers with caution, assuring them they aren't dead, and that at the very least Redbeard isn't dead. The statement isn't the most reassuring, but they don't have any time to explain more since Shadows start creeping into the clearing.
Now in a slight rush, Capsize very quickly explains that *something* has happened to the Champions. They have no idea what but whether they appear next, one of them is going to hunt them all down and try to kill them. Obviously Martha and Andor don't really believe what they're hearing, since the ideas of the four becoming bloodthirsty killers with no regard for their friends is ridiculous, but she doesn't really care if they believe her. She says that they'll be a task to do to escape, they'll just know what it is, and just run from anyone that isn't her or Redbeard even if they really look like one of their friends. The Shadows then overwhelm each one of them and they seemingly black out.
When they seconds later appear in a jungle, now separated, with the distinct idea in their heads that they need to fix the machines scattered around the area, they realise there might have been some truth to the pirate’s words. When arrows start flying and they hear Redbeard crying out in pain, they realise there’s more truth than they ever would’ve believed.
Survivors:
Capsize, Redbeard, Martha, Andor, Gaines, Season 2 Dianite, Alister, Alyssa
Killers:
Jordan, Sonja, Tucker, Tom, Furia
Unsure:
Waglington, Mot, Spark, Jeriah, Season 1 Ianite
Jordan.
An imposing hunter that roams a jungle corrupted with odd technology, Jordan still believes he’s working in the name of his Lady. When the Shadows began to corrupt him, they used her voice, his desperation to be with her again, to convince him that those he’s killing are nothing more than sacrifices for his Lady. Wielding a rapier and a bow, he hunts ruthlessly through his jungle, defending his tree and his Lady’s temple.
His arrows are less deadly than his sword, but he’s modified them to help him track the targets they hit by giving them intermittent shocks until they remove the arrow head. He will hunt down the intruders in his jungle to sacrifice them for his Lady. Even if some of them look familiar, none of them would be here if they weren’t traitors to the Goddess.
Sonja.
A woman corrupted by forbidden knowledge and a purple disease. The Shadows came whispering to Sonja, promising her the knowledge of what truly happened to Capsize, insisting she wasn’t truly dead. Sonja tried to ignore them for as long as possible, but when her own research into contacting the dead failed her, the amount she had delved into the forbidden knowledge having taken its toll on her body, she gave in and allowed herself to once again make a deal with the Shadows. She was shown Capsize in the Shadow’s realm, being hunted down and killed by Furia over and over again, and in a moment of despair the Shadows took control of the Flux and Taint and fully corrupted her.
She now roams a tainted forest, in the middle of which sits a library filled with the forbidden research that condemned her to this fate. She wields staff which she attacks with, but her real danger comes from the overwhelming taint that has corrupted her body and that she spreads to the survivors she hunts, harming and slowing them. In her mind, she is hunting the monsters that hunted her friend, completely unaware that’s exactly what she’s become.
Tucker.
A ruthless blood knight, strengthened by the wounds of his victims. Tucker was already wracked with guilt before the Shadows came to corrupt him, regretful about the actions he did for the other Mianite. The Shadows poke at the guilt, showing him the killing of the Ianitas, as well as showing him the killers that Jordan and Sonja have become, blaming Tucker for this too. And as the guilt became overwhelming, they corrupted it into a want to join his friends, into an incurable bloodlust.
Now he controls a walled fortress, wielding the god killing sword once again. He uses his victims blood to power himself, resulting in more blood spilling. He has no idea who the people he’s hunting are, he barely has any idea of anything but the need to gather blood and sacrifice those in his fortress to someone.
Tom.
Tom was not corrupted in the same way his friends were. In fact, he’s no longer himself at all. The Shadows reached out to the power inside him, the god that Tom killed and accidentally stole the power of, and offered him a chance to be in control once again. Dianite was more than happy to accept.
Wielding a jagged, serrated blade, Tom’s body has been bent and manipulated to look more like the horned god that now controls it. Roaming a recreation of his own temple, he has complete control of his environment, seemingly able to appear from anywhere to ambush the survivors. Tom is aware of what’s happening, of what has become of himself and his friends, but is powerless to stop a one again completely empowered Dianite from hunting down his friends still uncorrupted.
Furia.
There was no corruption needed to persuade Furia into the Shadow's Realm. At the time of their original death, they were invited, given more power to continue to hunt and kill, at the time only survivor, Capsize for all eternity. And who were they to refuse the offer?
Their home is now a burnt wasteland, filled with obstacles that survivors struggle over and they move through effortlessly. Wielding a cursed sword, their attacks burn, growing worse over time if not treated. The Guardian sometimes misses when it was just them chasing down the pretty much helpless captain, but they can't object to the new prey that has slowly made its way to the realm. Though still, they make sure to give extra special attention to her whenever she once again finds herself in their grasp.

The Consequences of Your Actions Chapter 2
Ship: Syndianite (Tom x S1 Dianite)
Summary: Vampire AU! Dianite has had many lovers over the years. Some were mere playthings, meant to pass the time. Others were passionate loves, a fire raging until their inevitable demise. Very few were of the immortal variety, most searching for a power grab, others enthralled by his image. One was different, one was special. And he’d be damned if he was going to let him slip away.
Chapter: 2/?
AN: Still too lazy to make a new summary for each chapter. Whoops. I’ve spent the entire day off sleeping and playing Minecraft. It’s weird not having something to do. My online class is done, no camp today, no work today. It was n i c e. Now to the fic!
Chapter 2
Though the night was over and the sun had begun its ascension, many vampires mulled about. Most found themselves carefully reconstructing their office, deeming what was salvageable and what needed to be replaced. Amidst these people were ones scouring through information, from paperwork, from video feeds, from supposed sightings, anything the internet could provide. Each had one purpose: find Mianite or one of his lackeys. And for their Lord, and even their own personal grudges, they were determined to do so.
Furia, the Head Advisor to the Lord, was overseeing this operation. Between hunting down the filthy Mianitees mere hours before, and working through the chaos and daylight hours, he was fucking exhausted. And the ones he was watching and, at times, helping, were coming up with nothing. Even the part of the city Dianite had handed over was untouched by the insolent faction. Instead, something rather… peculiar was taking place. The humans were changing.
The particular district he was observing was a quieter townhouse block. Many families lived there, with young and older children, elderly living the rest of their lives in peace, and even the impoverished made up one section of the neighborhood. (Dianite had assigned people to look into support systems for them, claimed that no potential child of his was to be forced to survive under such horrendous conditions. Furia assumed that meant he felt bad for the humans). Where they would naturally have been out and about, the children being herded off to school in a stout bus packing to the brim, adults prepping themselves up for another shift at work, and the elderly taking their positions on the front porch to call across the street to each other the latest gossip, few were up.
Today, a handful of kids meandered over their bus stops, seemingly dazed, as though they had not slept enough. Most of the adults seemed to stare listlessly at their breakfast, the TV, their cars. Even the elderly, somehow energetic for their years, were startlingly quiet. Upon closer look, they almost appeared… paranoid? Some of those who were delighted to waddle out to their porched and checked it with a quick glance before locking their doors, keen on simultaneously appearing to be absent of their homes, while having every light on. This was in no way normal for their humans.
The Advisor was unnerved, so to speak. These developments meant more to him than the others, who were still searching for Mianite. His Lord shared many secrets with him, including the growing threat of The Shadows. The first time he had heard of them was when one of their own, who had chosen to vacation beyond the city, mentioned the strange corruption he had seen in towns he had passed. Others in their group, the young vampire had recounted, spoke of these strange shadows creeping into their homes. The only reason most had noticed them was due to the general avoidance the strange intruders had towards fire. With most of Dianite’s following harboring some sort of pyrokinesis, this information was confirmed by many sources.
So far, the people they had watching its movement, (just two, for the sake of simplicity, and to keep the information closer at hand), found that it could not corrupt their group. They theorized that the presence of pyrokinesis in the following, essentially an inner fire for each vampire, kept the shadows at bay when they came too close. However, it could easily take anyone who was either unaware, or not ‘strong’ enough to counteract it. They had yet to discover what you had to have strength in, watching both the smallest of children and the largest of adults resist the change. So far, only a measly 2% managed to evade corruption.  And if the symptoms they described in the people fighting the corruption were universal, Furia found that this district was falling to it.
“Keep searching. If you don’t find anything in,” he spared a glance at the closest clock, reading 7:42 am, he continued, “say, the next hour and 45 minutes, go rest. We can have someone fill in if we are in such need.” With a small bit of grandeur, Furia strode from the room, calling the elevator. The ride to the next floor was silent and tense. Though he stewed in the implications of this recent development, he wasn’t sure how far it would go.
As the elevator doors opened, Furia could feel a rise in temperature. He wasn’t surprised. He had seen the turning of many fledglings, and they each found solace in both the presence of their lord, and heat. This could commonly be attributed to the instilling fire powers most, if not all, came into. He had a feeling, with Tom, it would be a bit different. And lo and behold, he was right.
Where a typical fledgling would be fidgety, itching to test new abilities and explore, Tom stayed nestled up against Dianite, nosing along his jaw and almost purring, however that worked. The Lord, though he had his lover secured rather well on his lap, was conducting his own investigation of Mianite’s whereabouts, his eyes glowing with telltale distance. It was likely he was communicating through one of his subjects with an outside source. He would put some money on the contact being his sister and Lady Ianite of the North. (The south was mostly divided between the three, with a middle portion remaining the most neutral place).
He took the moment to plop down in an armchair next to the loveseat they were sprawled in. Knowing Dia was aware of his presence, he leaned his head back with a tired groan. Eyes closed, he blanked out for what felt like minutes, but was, in reality, a solid twenty minutes.
“Furia?” He peeked one eye open begrudgingly, looking over at the Lord. He was facing the Advisor, giving his full attention, with the exception of having pulled Tom down to curl up against his chest. The groggy vampire began without holding back, “We have yet to find any trace of Mianite.” Based on the irritated look he received Dianite held no information on his brother either. “However, I noticed on particular problem: The shadows have made a move into our territory.
Though the Lord kept any emotion from his face, Furia could tell by the way he pulled Tom impossibly closer that this greatly worried him. He was silent for a moment, before beginning his querying, “How far?” Furia recounted what he had seen, giving him the comparison between the feed and what their lookouts had seen previously. “Bring the Modesteps back in. We’ll need anything new they have gathered,” the Lord ordered, adding as a last thought, “We’ll have to add more people to the watch. How are we faring at the moment?” Furia looked Dianite dead in the eye. “I feel like I pranced through the daylight in nothing but a bikini and then decided to let myself be run over by a steamroller. Everyone looks like a goddamn zombie.” He broke off with a bright smile. “We’re doing just peachy, thank you. Everything will be better when we have Mianite’s head on a silver platter.” With a flourish, he stood once more, ignoring the dizziness that poked at him. “We’ll live. Just don’t let Tom leave the building. We can take care of most of this for the time being.”
Before Furia left the room, the Lord shouted one thing after him, “Don’t fucking overwork yourselves! Just because you all love working your asses off, it doesn’t mean I want to walk down and see a bunch of children passed out on the floor.” And then he found his way to the elevator, preparing himself to relay his newest instructions.
~
Ianite knew her brothers had problems. She had seen the petty squabbles they initiated, how they tirelessly found new ways to fuck each other over. But she had long since deemed significant others off bounds. Of the few times she stepped in to keep the city intact, the bloodiest was by far the one time one of their lovers was involved. It had been Miante’s second vampire partner, Jessica. Though Ianite was never particularly fond of her, the lust for power in her eyes always present, the Western Lord was enthralled by her. Her beauty, her grace, her easy manipulation, it was nothing in the face of battle. As she foolishly charged Dianite, confident in her ability to take him, she was cut through like paper. Her body had hit the floor in two parts, the upper portion of her body, missing parts of her arms, and the rest of it, with two stretched out hands flopped to the ground uselessly.
She had barely been able to end Mianite’s rage as he tore at their brother, one of the closest times Dia had come to losing more than the fight. After that, she instilled one of her first rules: Do not attack each other’s lovers. So, when she heard the deafening screeches ringing through the city, she did not immediately assume Tom had been assaulted. As a coppery smell found its way into her nest, she had not figured out that Dianite was forced to take the one action he feared would lose him his lover. When she approached her window to see the signs of death far off into the West, she failed to notice the darkness crawling into the East.
When Antony Grager, Dianite’s emergency correspondent for contacting the other siblings, apparated before her, she had been prepared for terrible news, not the worst. She was desperate to believe Mianite wouldn’t go to such measures, especially when the two hadn’t been at odds in the last month. Tom was one of her favorites, of all of Dianite’s significant others. Though he always tried to be some sort of gentleman around her, he won her over by his goofiness and sheer force of will. At one point, he had convinced a startling amount of her following that he was a vampire capable of withstanding the sun’s rays without receiving terrible injury.
As she learned more about the situation, about what happened to Tom, she worried for him. Humans all reacted to turning differently, though more positively the more they wanted it. But at one point, either wanting it too much, or absolutely rejecting the idea, it breaks their mind, leaving them a psychotic shell of themselves. There was no way to know what frame of mind the human had been in, what frame of mind he was in now. Sending her thoughts to her spy, she tried to quell her anxieties. Dianite had asked her to locate Miante, and for Tom, she was willing to step out of her neutrality once more.
~
Darry Adam Ranger was a single father, working two jobs to raise his precious baby girl, Alexa. He worked the morning shift at a small corner side dinner called Sally’s Sandwhiches, and the afternoon shift at West Side Bowling. His life was far from glamourous, but coming home to see his darling daughter’s face, bright, healthy, and happy, was the highlight of his day.
Today, however, he couldn’t shake the sense of dread within him. The regulars to the Saturday morning brunch did not show, a nice family of two elderly women and their darling grandson. Though his parents were moved out of the city, he always made time for them, to catch up. None of them showed. Even his unrealistically happy manager, Susan, was off her game today. Her chipper attitude was replaced by snapping commands and irritated scowls.
So, when the man made his way home for lunch break, he was not ready to see Mary, his lovely neighbor and babysitter, who refused to be paid, sitting anxiously at his steps. With panicked, she rushed over to him, prattling on about how, “There’s a demon inside! He snatched Alexa, and John, and locking them in. I can’t get into my house, or yours, and I don’t know if they’re alive.” Without a thought, he jammed his key into the lock, wrenching the door open.
“Alexa,” he called out, “Alexa!” Maneuvering around the house, he finally came face to face with the door leading to her room. He shoved it open, prepared to attack whoever threatened his baby girl, when all he saw was her, sitting innocently on the floor. Sighing with relief, he bends down to pick her up, just about to yell back to Mary that Alexa is safe, but John wasn’t there, when he was thrown back. Eyes wide, he scrambled up to see an inky blackness pouring from his girl, a wail erupting from the merged figures. Faster than he could blink, it launches forward, clawing at his face and pushing down his mouth. As it starts to pour around his eyes, he blacks out. Minutes later, as his eyes are opened once more, it is not Darry Ranger who returns to consciousness.
(AN: I was trying so hard not to lose what i was writing, as i was rather....... distracted XD Its sooooo worth it though. I swear, all I can think about now is pure smut. Its a blessing and a curse)

A Slightly Different Path:
Killer Capsize.
When Redbeard is about to be taken into the Shadows’ Realm, Ianite manages to stop him from being taken, casting the Shadows away if only temporarily. In the time that he is spared the horrors of the Shadows’ Realm, Capsize is left completely alone at the mercy of Furia who slowly becomes more vicious. After what feels like hundreds of deaths, Capsize begins to lose the sparks of hope she still had left. As she dies death after death, she stops attempting to figure out escape mentions, only still running from Furia in the trials to avoid more pain. It gets to the point where she’s praying to anyone that might listen for a way to make it stop. And then, when she’s alone in the camp, a voice responds to her desperation.
The Shadows begin whispering to her, offering a way to stop the deaths. They pray on her weakening resolve, telling her that everyone believes she’s dead, that no one else is coming to save her. And as these words invade her mind, the tiny fragments of hope she’d been clinging to fading, she begins sobbing, begging for anything they can offer. For a moment, every moment of pain floods through her body, the final opening that the Shadows use to enter and corrupt her mind.
Now stalking an impossible drained ocean, Capsize flickers between the forms of her different deaths, sometimes looking almost unrecognisable and sometimes it being impossible to ignore who she really is. The area is centred around a shipwreck of her original ship, surrounded by corals, seagrass, and the last reminds of water in tiny tide pools. She wields a trident that flickers between different states of broken just as her physical form.
Having been corrupted in a moment of terrible pain and desperation, Capsize now acts as a vengeful spirit, believing that those she’s chasing are responsible for abandoning her to a painful death, only vaguely recognising those she knew previously. She can teleport via the tide pools, melting anyway from her current location as if she turned to water. When a survivor witnesses her teleport, it starts to feel like they’re slowly drowning. A drowning survivor can stop the effect by leaving an offering in a tidal pool, though this takes time out of completing the tasks they need to do to escape its the far safer option as leaving themself in the state for too long will result in Capsize knowing exactly where they are at all times.
Survivor Tom.
Tom’s latent godly powers bring him into the Shadow’s Realm in a far different way than Dianite possessing his body. One night during a blood moon, he begins to hear a voice begging for her pain to stop. And he recognises that voice. Tom rushes out into the darkness, dodging a ridiculous number of monsters as he tries to find where Capsize is. Given the darkness, he doesn’t even realise that he’s quickly surrounded by a shadowy fog until he’s in a campsite watching the friend he thought was dead get consumed by shadows and disappear. And Tom has never been more determined to defeat the Shadows than in that moment.
He isn’t alone for longer than a few trials, Redbeard appearing to a mixture of happiness and absolute horror from Tom. But in his downtime, he finds things left behind by Capsize, getting the general idea of what’s going on and just how long she was alone. When all the other survivors (and killers) eventually appear, he is very clear that he’s not interested in escaping until he can save all the killers from their fate. He’s pretty aggressive about this goal, to the point of causing arguments with those who would prefer the focus be on escaping.
In the trials, he has special focus on escaping once caught. When he’s in a chase, he can create noises around a hiding area as if he entered it, hiding his continued running, leading to (ideally) the killer getting confused and losing him. When he is caught and being carried by the killer, he has a far greater chance than any of his fellow survivors to escape their grasp, his thrashing and wriggling throwing off the killer's movements. He’s also managed to figure out how to channel his godly abilities, if only to produce a small shining light for a limited amount of time. When he shines it at the killers, it can blind them for a short amount of time, and if done at the right moment, it can make them let go of someone they’ve managed to catch.

The trial against Jordan goes rather well, at least in the minds of the two pirates. Martha and Andor would disagree with that description of the events as they were dragged bloody and wounded out of the area by Capsize. They don't know what happened to Redbeard after he stopped screaming, though they can certainly guess. Martha is slightly shocked by the seemingly callousness of Capsize towards his death, but any lectures she might have had disappear as they run through a thick black impossibly dark fog and they appear once again in a forest clearing with Redbeard sitting perfectly healthy on a log.
They realise as their adrenaline fades, that their wounds have also been healed. Confused and frankly concerned as to what the hell is going on, they look to the pirates for answers which Capsize assures she'll give after a quick breather. During the breather, Alister and Gaines appear. Alister the pirates appear to know, while Gaines they definitely don't. A few minutes later, Alyssa and Dianite come running into the camp. After some semi-awkward introductions, the four who have been there for a while now (Capsize, Redbeard, Alyssa, and Alister) go over what they know about where they are, notably that they are being forced into these trials, that they can't die, but they definitely can be hurt. And that even though they can't really fight back, they all have been given some strengths for certain situations, though they've all had to learn them via experience.
The camp is nicer than the clearing from earlier. The campfire is more than a bonfire and forms of shelter have been set up, and the clearing is surrounded by flora. Everyone new is told to make themselves at home, but not to stray into the darkness. After a little while of coming to grips with the situation, the newbies start questioning if there’s any way to escape. This far they have no answers, but Capsize assures she's been working on it.
Capsize.
Capsize has been in the Shadow’s Realm since her death at the hands of Furia. Originally she was alone, a little confused about what exactly was going on, until Furia appeared as a killer and her life became a recurring nightmare. She hasn’t revealed to the others how long she was completely alone for, just that it was far longer than she would've liked. She isn’t looking for sympathy, just for some way to get the others out of the world's worst afterlife, or at the very least stop her other friends from being mindless killers.
Her time alone has told her how to survive for longer against the killers. She’s found she gets stronger when people start getting hurt or dying, becoming quieter and faster. However, given that she isn’t about to just sacrifice the others, she instead uses her experience to keep the killers’ attention on her rather than them. Seeing that certain killers (*cough* Furia) already focuses more attention on her, she might as well use this to everyone’s advantage. In fact, her being chased speeds up the progress of the escape tasks just as long as she doesn't get caught.
Redbeard.
Redbeard arrived in the Shadow’s Realm around a year after Capsize’s death. Sitting alone in Aethoria, he followed his sister’s voice into the Shadows not realising what was going on until it was far too late. The rush of emotions of seeing his sister alive was quickly overwhelmed by needing to escape an empowered Furia. He's not exactly happy to learn the suffering Capsize has gone through, but has basically devoted himself to protecting her from some of the harm the killers will try to inflict on her.
He has the ability to boost the others when he's injured. Particularly when he's injured, the others are faster and quieter. Though they've found it's harder to heal him than it is the others, he doesn't mind as long taking the hits to help the others. He's also found a method to break the jagged hooks that the killers throw those they've caught onto, by gripping onto the metal when he's being pulled off leaving it stuck in his shoulder. It's painful but it leaves the hook unusable for the rest of the trial.
Alyssa.
The third survivor to arrive to the Shadow's Realm, Alyssa disappeared from the Season 1 world at the same time as Mot. She's extremely worried about where she ended up as she's pretty sure everyone here is dead. She at least finds some comfort in not having met any of the killers previously as she can see how that affects the other survivors.
During the downtime at the camp, she'll gather up flora that grows around in order to craft medical supplies for the trials. It works more effectively than other methods they've tried during trials. She also tends to catch the attention of the killers less than the others, something which she attributes to them having not met her before. She feels acutely aware of how she's being tracked in order to better hide. She's far better at hiding than she is after being found, but she's fine with not having attention on her in the first place.
Alister.
The fourth survivor to arrive in the Shadow's Realm, and the final one to arrive by themself. When the Season 2 world began to fall apart, he awoke in the new place. He sees it as sort of a way to redeem himself for the terrible things he did for Mianite. He struggled a little with admitting what he had done to the people he finds himself with, though none of them are really in a situation where they could refuse his help.
During the trials, he's found that he can channel his own successes to correct the mistakes of others. So long as he is around other survivors, he can mitigate their failures but only as long as he himself is successful in the same task. He can also progress escape tasks quicker than normal as long as he works with another person, beyond just the advantages of two people working on one task.
Martha.
With the group Martha is a little weary. Obviously she knows that causing arguments in the situation they're all stuck in is not a good idea, though she can't help but want to question Capsize for seemingly knowing so little when she's been in the realm for so long. This is causing some tension between the two as Capsize really isn't in the mood to be questioned.
Within the trials, Martha has discovered small totems that power up the killers. She's found that she has the ability to change these to instead benefit herself and her fellow survivors. Changing their arrangement in a particular way creates an area of healing which can be sorely needed within the danger of the trials. Completely destroying one allows her to convert its energy into progress for the escape tasks. Though due to the limited number, she has to make a decision as to which advantage she wants.
Andor.
It takes awhile for Andor to get over the terrible shock of seeing Jordan as a monster trying to kill him. He also struggles a lot with having to work with Alister considering their past interactions. He ends up relating quite a lot to the pirates in relation to their feelings about the killers as they also had close friendships with them.
During the trials, he can help people in ways others can't and can gain power from doing so. After rescuing other survivors, he gains the power to get himself out of the same situation without help later. Rescue someone from one of the hooks and later he can lift himself off one as if another person was there to help. Take a hit intended for someone else and later he can take multiple hits without consequence.
Gaines.
He's naturally quite introverted within the group as he didn't know any of them too well and being in constant danger isn't the best environment for growing relationships. Still he tries, and his previous ability to make a portal into the void between worlds comes of interest as the best lead any of them have to figuring out a method of escape.
Within the trials, he's much faster with the escape tasks than any other individual. This made sense to him with Jordan's complex machines, less so with the magic seals around Sonja's area. He's also found a way to craft the very bare bones materials salvaged from around the camp to create sensors that can alert where the killer is. They are easily destroyed by the killers but act as a good warning system for when they're getting too close.
Dianite (S2).
Though they're warming up to him due to assurances from the others, Dianite isn't too surprised that the reaction to him from the two pirates is that of fear and distrust. Honestly he's surprised they're as nice as they are given what he's heard about their world's Dianite. He's the first person to realise that said other him has possessed Tom, due to the odd behaviour towards him and just an persistent feeling from the killer.
He's found that he has the ability to sense certain things he can't directly see. He can't quite tell if that is an ability granted by the realm or from him being previously dead. From escape routes, to his fellow survivors, to the killer, it's as if he can see them through the walls. He's also found that he can quickly aid other survivors, healing them at the cost of inflicting their injuries on himself.
