PHEW, chapter 323 SPOILERS is finally here :D

okay theres no point in me defending the civilians anymore, THEY SET OFF FUCKING DANGER SENSE. like what?? yall really want the boy gone that yall will go so far as too give him the look of malice?? okay i get that yall are scared and afraid to die but being scared doesnt trigger danger sense, being so hostile that yall make USER OF DANGER SENSE scared does. excuse me for my rant but this is going waay too far >:( 

and deku looks so scared, hes only 16. i can only imagine the poking in the head sensation as like having a really bad headache but x100 times. i feel bad for you deku, you must really want to pluck your head out, i know i would if theres millions of signals of danger stabing directly my head (brain) in the moment.  and also...WAIT A MINUTE 

are they- uraraka’s parents??? what are yall doin here??? are yall...protesting???!! this was my biggest surprise reading into the spoilers, i never would’ve expected ’-’ i guess the fact that uraraka likes deku got into my head. forgot the other kids has parents that are scared and afraid to die too. also also..can i just say this..?

Chapter 323: The Case of the Reappearing Bakugo

Chapter 323 was pretty straightforward in terms of what’s actually going on, and it took me a little while to think of something that I could actually analyze this week. I could do a theory on Nezu considering he is EXTREMELY suspicious right now, but honestly everyone else seems to have picked up on that too, so I will save the Nezu stuff for a later date. But after reading the official translation and having some time to think about it, I think I finally found something worth looking into, and that is...the case of the magical reappearing Bakugo!

So I remember everyone making jokes last chapter about Bakugo just disappearing after he caught Deku in chapter 322. He apparently just handed Deku off to Shoji and Thirteen and then went who knows where. Yes, he was probably on the perimeter, but it seemed super weird that he wouldn’t be sticking at least a little close by in order to make sure Deku was still ok. I saw lots of theories about where he’d gone, from possibly splitting from the group to get Inko to passing out himself because of his wound to just needing space after his big confession/apology.

And yet lo and behold, in the middle of the chapter, Bakugo just...shows up! Right next to Deku, like he’s been there the whole time.

But here’s the thing...it’s not actually random. If you look very closely at the page where Ochako jumps over the crowd, there’s a TEENY TINY insert of Bakugo watching her.

Now, just having a reaction shot here would be pretty normal…except this is the first time Bakugo has been in the chapter, and the first time we’ve seen him since we came back to UA. We could have had a reaction shot from anyone there. Hell, DEKU could have had a reaction there, considering he’s just been abandoned in a crowd that two seconds ago was so hostile it set off his danger sense. But no, we get to see Bakugo here. Super weird right? Actually, it's not at all.

So here’s what’s going on, at least from my understanding. Bakugo has been on the perimeter of the class since coming back to UA, either because he wants to be on the front lines in case of attack or because he thinks he and Deku need emotional distance after what happened at Kamino. He is paying attention though, and he notices both that the crowd is extremely volatile towards Deku, and that Ochako just left him in the middle of that crowd in order to do her epic hero moment. This is continuing in the grand tradition of Bakugo CONSTANTLY watching Deku when Deku is not paying attention, which we can see as early in Chapter 1.

But also immediately after the sludge villain

And VERY OBVIOUSLY after the AFO fight

And THAT’s why Bakugo just appears next to Deku out of nowhere. It wasn’t Horikoshi just randomly deciding to put Bakugo back in because people were wondering where he was, and this isn’t a reveal that Bakugo had been standing there next to him this whole time. This is Bakugo deliberately making his way over to Deku after he was left alone in a hostile crowd to make sure that he has support in case something happens. And then what does Bakugo do when he makes it over to him? He comforts him (in a very Bakugo-like way of course, he’s fucking tired and his shoulder hurts, cut him some slack). And the comfort is still very gentle, centered more around Deku needing help than actually calling out the crowd. So cute!

So basically, even in a chapter all about Ochako, Hori still had to slip in a little bit about how much Bakugo gives a shit now that Deku almost died. They’re canon guys, I don’t know what else to tell you

Also leaks are happening tonight, and if that sketch from the volume 32 preview page is actually Bakugo trying to drag a crying Deku into UA I’m going to FLIP OUT.

I'm now distracted by TodoBaku reaching peak shipping energy. Like OMG this may be no joke the most memorable part of the chapter for me. TDBK locking eyes and reading each others minds. OMG Shoto. Please pack the Wonder Duo off in your bags right now.

WHAT THE HELL. Like I know this is Ochako's big "I'm defending Deku and helping him out" moment and there's her parents and MIc who liked her from the start and she's being a real badass. But again my shipping brain is thinking only "BAKUGOU OMG THERE'S A BAKUGOU PANEL DAMMIT KACCHAN MAKE UP YOUR MIND WHO ARE YOU WITH THIS CHAPTER SHOTO OCHAKO OR DEKU". Sorry.

WTF OCHAKO ARE YOU GONNA TELL THE WHOLE DARN WORLD ABOUT OFA?!

And let's end on some BKDK feels just to complete the dueling OT3 vibes.

So yes this chapter is probably gonna get people talking about Izuocha . I still for the record have the same problems with it I had before. Yes this act is sweet of her, but as far as their relationship goes, it's all about her one-sidedly supporting him - admiring him, being there for him, etc. Rather than an equal dynamic where they support each other and stuff. Nothing's changed and until it does I'm not behind them ending up together. Outside of the OT3 option of course (Katsuki does kinda balance their two personalities out). Ya'll know my shipping preferences, I've made my thoughts clear this chapter.

Yes a lot of stuff happened this chapter that wasn't shipping related but I know what ya'll are here for :)

OMG!!! Ochako's speech topped Bakugo's apology by such a huge margin!!

The chapter a young woman's declaration was about Ochako standing up against the odds and pressure of the society and help people realise that even the heroes are in need of help.

She advocate for their lives and stood up, it was basically Uravity Rising at this point while Bakugo's big moment was about accepting and embracing his own flaws and thinking.

Though it's still good to see that Toga is also not too far behind with her chapter at no 11 spot!

Another Ocha based chapter that made it to top 20 was ch 296: Hellish Hell that displayed the aftermath and atocrities of a war.

So yeah, it was nice to see Ochako in top 10!

BnHA 323: Why is Uravity the most overhated character in MHA?

Okay then, let's go!

If I have to say that Uravity is the most overhated character in MHA it won't even be an opinion, cause it is a fact.

Especially after this chapter…

Recently, Ochako's popularity is on a steep decline because some very vocal haters and shippers on twitter came up with various invalid and bogous argument that it is hilarious!

This girl isn't playing around anymore and she has got back her spunk from the sports festival and I kinda liked to see that but what made me sad was the fact that many shippers took it as some IzuOcha moment rather than ‘Save Deku' and started ranting in a chain of bullsh*t comments about her saying all she does has to revolve around Deku, yada-yadei...

Like seriously?

In terms of even character, I dare say that Ochako is more independent than Bakugo. Heck, his entire development theme revolves around Deku in one way or another then why when it comes to Ochako it is always treated as romantic or even wrong in a way?

And then there are other people saying:

“Oh anyone could have done what she did!”

Tell me one thing!

Who else was even suitable for taming the mob?

Teachers?

Who have failed to save their students over and over again?

Heroes?

Who are basically the Top 10 and people like Endeavour can't even hang around in public without a disguise!

Bakugo?

Who has matured now but still won't be able to convince the entire bunch of angry civilians! Also, he is probably still healing from his injuries and already got a moment in the last chapter.

Todoroki?

Who has to placed at a different place then the rest students because he's also probably on the bad side of mob.

Then who?

Who do you think would have been suitable for this speech moment?

Whose arc should it be?

Who was the one to notice the impact that, that “Look at Endeavour!” guy made?

Who was the one to rush desperately to help in the aftermath of war?

Who was the one to witness the impact of war?

But NO!!!

WE JUST GOTTA HATE ON URARAKA CAUSE SHE COMES BETWEEN OUR CRAZY FAN SHIPS AND HASN'T DONE ANYTHING CRAZY BADASS AND DOSEN'T DESERVE TO BE THE NO.1 HERO'S WAIFU!!

That's just basically the entire fandom lately when it comes to Uraraka and now it has totally convinced me that even after this speech, no matter what she does, people will always find a reason to hate her.

Like come on! Let her have her own moment of shine. To think people are so biased lately that if it was Bakugo giving that speech, all Baku Stans would be like "Oh look, God Explosion DYNAMIGHT giving speech! This is go good! MHA has changed forever bla bla bla..!!"

Then why does when it comes to appreciating women, all people do is rant on how badly and underwritten they are.

Like can we even just put ships aside for a second and take some time to appreciate that the Uraraka who was always flustered in the beginning and was never able to do much finally found a voice of her own and is now stepping up to protect her best friend who has been wronged by the society then why?

Why is she getting so much hate just for wanting to bring Deku home? Because she harbours feelings for him? Just because she is inspired by him to do good things?

That's why?

It's not like she goes out of her ways to follow him. She has a seperate life goal, different work studies, different motivations and finally an endgame villan too.

That makes her character revolve all around Deku when Deku himself fanboys All Might like crazy? When Bakugo's entire "If you keep on looking down on others" arc was solemnly based on him underestimating Deku or even Todoroki who was saved by Deku and vice versa? Deku is the MC so ofc he would have impact on other people. Then why does Ochako gets reduces to 'Just a love-interest' when she's clearly more then that.

This is called the society being harsh on woman. Yeah, she is clearly not the best written character in the series but she's also definitely far from worse.

At first I was a bit dissatisfied and disappointed with the pacing of this chapter but can we just appreciate Horikoshi for giving us such beautiful shots of her lately? The fandom is clearly full of bias and it will always find a reason to hate on Uraraka but honestly, Ochako will forever be one of my most favourite Hero from this show.

And nothing can change that.
