#fbf❤️ sometimes you just gotta be that shoulder to lean on. Well...we made it to the end of the week, most still with a heavy heart but every day makes us stronger. Hopefully more aware and grateful as well. 🤍 I noticed that I had spent way too much time on social media trying to learn more about the accident, then we heard statements as the week progressed. I slept much less this week and my physical training wasn't as strong. Coupling too much social media PLUS mourning was too much for my brain and body. I had to immediately pull away and connect with humxns. 🤍 I was grateful to connect with my mom, friends, students and my brother from anutha mutha. Whether it was chatting for 10 minutes or 4 hours - I felt myself thawing out from being numb and getting to feel my brain parts warming up again. 🤍 During times like this, it's important to be aware that the best social connection we can have is with the folks beside us. I was naive to think that I could just power through this week with my bold self but it caught up to me. Being an empath, I really did need to give myself time and space to grieve whatever feelings came up from Sunday and honor them instead of shoving them to the side and putting work first, gotta put my ❤️+soul first. I am only humxn. 🤍 If you've found yourself glued to social like I was this week, I hope you give yourself a huge break this weekend and relish your time in the loved company of friends + family or out enjoying nature, the arts, journaling, or a good physical book.
