My Fiance and I are into Demon Slayer, and, as one does, we are making a fic for it. Our fic is partially a fix it because we were bummed about what happens to most of the Hashira. Especially but not limited to Obanai and Mitsuri. The problem with us brainstorming for this fic is neither of us are well versed in the series, and we are having a great amount of difficulty remembering the Hashira's names. So we took steps to fix both of those. We now own the manga and I am going to make a Hashira Cheat Sheet right here and now, complete with the nicknames we called everyone before we knew their names...because right now, all we've got is Giyu, Shinobu, Obanai, Sanemi, and Mitsuri memorized 100%.

Naruto greets him with a fervent shake of the offered hand, trying not to fall forwards when Itachi reciprocates. “It’s nice to talk to you! In, uh, a non-awkward context,” he offers, smiling crookedly. “Sasuke told me you don’t mind Taco Bell! You should let me treat you some time — I’m glad you can appreciate good food.”

“Fucking disgusting,” A voice that is obviously Sasuke’s barks from the kitchen, spilling over with vitriol. “You’re disgusting, and that place is even worse. It’s not real Mexican food!”

“Language, little brother,” Itachi calls back, completely enveloped in the role of a stern older sibling figure. He turns to Naruto again, giving a sage nod. “Yes. I enjoy their, ah, Crunchwrap Supreme, I believe it’s called.”

Another distant groan of pure agony rings from Sasuke. “You grew up eating freshly cooked soba and hand caught mackerel, Itachi! Where did it go wrong?” The sounds of a wooden spatula hitting the edges of a frying pan multiply in volume and frustration as Sasuke smolders with fury deeper inside of the traditional Japanese house.

“Ignore him,” Itachi deadpans. “He’s yet to understand the joys of a crunchy taco shell.”

Ok this is random again but I need to confess. I never liked sasuke and his character but that is because I was overall frustrated with kishimoto's writing of his own characters, however my opinion of a character tends to sway dramatically if i hear reasons from a huge fan of said character so i thought to ask you: why is he your favorite? what do you like about him? is there any particular sentiment that made your url a reality ( this isnt meant to be rude but im genuinely curious !!!)

YESSS HIHIHI not liking sasuke largely because of kishis pisspoor writing is very valid. when i get my hands on that mf it'll be over for him!! so i don't blame you for that at all lol

with that being said i refuse to acknowledge Boruto sasuke because thats just not the same person. and i dont mean character development or anything i mean that is straight up a different person! so i wont even get into that lol anyway

sasuke has always been my favorite to some extent- i have an older brother who would make me watch Naruto with him and while i wasn't interested in the show i thought sasuke was sooo cute! ive always loved the emo ones lmao

but then i became a fan of the show and actually paid attention to his character and i think its safe to say that hes a big source of catharsis for me? if that makes sense? mainly because of his relationship with itachi. again i have an older brother and the parallels between us are quite strong (he didn't kill anyone or anything like that 😭) just the way sasuke feels about him and how he was The main source of anger and love and how these emotions easily blur together..betrayal..heartbreak (not romantically ofc) ugh.. sasuke lets me explore these hard to deal with emotions so for that he will always be special to me <- guy who needs therapy

also the extreme ways sasuke deals with these hard feelings himself are something i admire no matter how unhealthy and self destructive they are. sasuke is not afraid to pour his all into something. his one track mind is very frustrating but at the same time something i just cant help but admire! he is an extremely dedicated and motivated character and it makes me insane. i also love how hard he tries to appear stoic and put together but little cracks show just how emotional he is. you cant fool me gay boy i see you for the sensitive lil wuss that you are!!!

essentially sasuke is a big 'he just like me fr' character for me which is embarrassing but its too late for shame now!

I have just noticed that Mexican Flag has an Eagle (Hisoka)and a Snake (Sasuke) into the composition. it seems the choice of adding Eagle is connected to Mexico History. "Eagle Warriors" were a special military forces of the Aztecs. An Elite Warrior. LOL

The symbolism of Snake has different interpretations anyway.

i just went to my best friend's wedding (we've been friends since childhood, and we are both fans of tekken). we are both mexican Latino women and we had a great time. then i went to bed, and i had a nightmare. it was a new dlc story for tekken 8 after the shitty one where heihachi comes back from the dead gundam seed style. jin and xiaoyu are getting married, then miguel shows up out of nowhere and he is about to shoot jin kazama to kill him like he promised in tekken 7. but just as miguel was going to kill jin, xiaoyu jumps right in front of jin and she gets shot 3 times (just like how Rikiya from Yakuza 3 died saving Kazuma Kiryu from that one stupid looking bastard). xiaoyu dies from blood loss, meanwhile miguel starts to act ooc and becomes a villain screaming "you killed her, jin. it's your fault you met her, you should have never met her." then other stuff like miharu blaming jin for her dying and jin not even being allowed to attend ling's funeral because ling's parents also blame jin for losing their daughter. i woke up early at 4 am in the morning not only because of that nightmare, but also i needed to pee badly anyways. i also remember when i told someone at a convention that i like jin and he's probably my favorite male character in the roster, then the white girl sakura haruno cosplayer said basically, "are you insane?! jin is racist towards spanish people he should be cancelled on twitter and sasuke stans shouldn't compare him to a man who is racist to spanish people, how could you like him if you're a latino woman. you should be disowned by other latino women." like now i shouldn't like jin because i'm a latino mexican woman?!

a week or two later, my best friend noticed i was a little stressed while we were eating lunch at Lupe's. I finally told her about my nightmare. She said "it's okay, look even if she dies she'll probably be back to life in tekken 9 anyways. also don't listen to twitter idiots. you can still like jin, also i don't like miguel he's basically eddy 2.0". (my best friend does not like miguel, she finds him annoying to fight and she thinks he is eddy 2.0. i'm ok with him tho.). i get so worried about xiao (who is my secondary main, lili is my main btw) and also sick of the tekken fandom being hella stupid.

HOLY SHIT I HAD TO READ THIS A FEW TIMES CAUSE DAMN!! Naruto people really don't have a damn clue about what a complex character Jin is, and I don't expect them to. They refuse to see past the surface level of the shitty writing they've done for him.

That's a crazy nightmare, and honestly, it does make me worry how Harada plans to make Jin suffer next.

And honestly, yes. The Tekken fandom as a whole sucks out loud. Most especially on twitter and reddit, which is why I stay FAR away. It is shitty here, too, sometimes, but I steer clear and avoid it like this plague.

Whatever happens, though, I take comfort in the fact that my Jin and I are in our own little paradise~ And the games are set in some trashy parallel universe. XD
