Here’s an interesting Mexican style home that was built in 1968, so it has both Mexican & mid century vibes. It’s located in Tucson, Arizona and listed at $859K.
Tumblr media
Beautiful entrance door with stained glass opens to a foyer with a coat closet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The walls are adobe, but the brick areas, like the fireplace, are described as “burnt adobe.” Notice the MCM design of the shelving.

At the other end of the living room is a wet bar.
Tumblr media
There’re arched windows and doorways, plus beamed ceilings and beautiful tile floors.
Tumblr media
Sitting area with a definite MCM feel.
Tumblr media
Double arched doorways. Very nice architectural features.
Tumblr media
Guest powder room.
Tumblr media
The dining room is lovely.

The eat-in kitchen is most definitely MCM style. Only the dark trim around the cabinets give it that Mexican flair.
Tumblr media
This is nice- what an attractive main bd. Double doors open to the patio.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amazing en suite.
Tumblr media
Look at the beautiful home office.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2nd of 3 bds. has burnt adobe walls plus built-in shelving and a closet.
Tumblr media
It also has a small tiled en suite with a stained glass window.
Tumblr media
Look at the gorgeous pool out back.
Tumblr media
The patio outside the main bd.
Tumblr media
This home has been meticulously cared for- it’s a pleasure to see. (Wonder if the garden art conveys.)
Tumblr media
And, look at this beautiful back door’s stained glass.
Tumblr media
That’s some driveway and car port.
Tumblr media
There’s even sculpture incorporated into the surrounding property.
Tumblr media
And, here’s a view of the hood. It’s very private.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA AT HEATHROW AIRPORT IN BLACK HALO, CHANEL, HERMÉS, MCM & TOM FORD
Lady Gaga knows how to put an outfit together and showed off her new purchases when she strutted down Heathrow Airport on February 18, 2009 ahead of her Brit Awards performance.
Tumblr media
Gaga wore a white version of the strapless jumpsuit with pleated, flared legs from London-based label Black Halo’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection.
Her navy wool blazer with multiple pockets, notched lapels and gold logo buttons is a vintage Chanel piece. I was able to find a similar piece for you.
Tumblr media
The accessorizing for this look is more than amazing, and you’ll see why!
Starting from top to bottom, Gaga wore a pair of Tom Ford’s oversized Alexandra gold metal-framed round sunglasses with brown gradient lenses.
Tumblr media
A bunch of her accessories are by Hermés, which she most probably freshly bought since she’s still holding a paper bag from the boutique.
Around her neck is the Mon Petit Mexicain silk scarf featuring a detailed Mexican horse against royal blue background.
Tumblr media
She held her scarf together with the Clous de Selle 18k yellow-gold scarf ring which features a round charm.
Tumblr media
On her right hand she’s wearing the My Move gold and silver enamel ring. If you look closer, the ring is made of multiple “H” letters!
Tumblr media
The singer is also sporting a wide gold & red enamel Clic Clac bracelet. She owns these in several colors.
Tumblr media
Of course, her perforated orange leather driving gloves are by the French luxury fashion house as well! From the Western-themed Spring/Summer 2009 runway, to be precise.
Tumblr media
The songstress carried her other essentials in a this MCM perforated white leather Boston-style bag with silver-tone hardware.
Tumblr media
Her amazing pair of Chanel black leather pumps with gold-tone double C logo split heels are from the Spring/Summer 2008 collection.

Day 13 - Homework Hell
Goooooooooood evening everybody! Happy MLK day!!
Today was pretty eventful yet not at all (lol). I set my alarm pretty early to wake up this morning (8:00 to be exact because I have MOUNTAINS of homework that I had to get done today. I’m talking a physics homework set, an end-of-semester Music Appreiciation Project, and research notes for an English paper. And guess what, Kids?
I. Am. Still. Working. On. It.
Okay, well, I ~did~ take a number of breaks during the day. I was helping my parents with some chores, then I went back to work. Feeling as if my head was going to implode I decided to go for a walk with my puppers since I knew I wasn’t going to make the gym (2 days in a row... yuck! We gotta get back to it!) It was a great, brisk temperature outside so you never noticed you were hot until you went to take a shower, LOL.
After taking a shower I met up with a friend to go shopping and out to dinner at our favorite Mexican joint. We went to Old Navy, mostly because we both had gift cards. I decided to get my first full-matching athletic outfit (well, aside from old sports teams I played on). Lemme tell you, I totally get how much more I powered one could feel with matching clothes. I don’t look like a fifty-year-old house wife anymore if ya know what I mean.
Anywho, after dinner I headed home to work on my homework and that’s what I’m still doing. That was at 6:30, and now it’s just past 11:00 and I’ve only finished one of the three things I need to do.
Can you hear me dying inside?
Welp. That’s it. Gotta get back to work now. See you kids later!

M&TC: MCM Eduardo Garcia owner & chef of Máximo Bistrot
“We started Máximo Bistrot in 2011 with four employees. The idea was to keep things small. But then I noticed, after a while, that employees were building homes. A lot of them were Mexicans who had migrated to the United States and then sent money back home to construct houses. With the wages we paid, they could stay in Mexico and earn enough to have a good life. So we decided finally it was a good idea to grow the business and employ as many people as possible, because in Mexico a lot of people’s pockets get bigger and bigger, but never the little guy.
We now have three restaurants in the city, Máximo Bistrot, Lalo! and Havre 77. Over all, the cuisine is French-Mexican. We also have 130 employees with six partnerships in Mexico, two in London and one in Dubai.”
