As far as threads are concerned, are you more of a spontaneous ideas sort or a plot things out first sort?

((It really depends on the thread. For certain characters I like plotting, but when I'm in a particularly strong muse mood, someone can just drop stuff on me and I'll be game. One problem with this blog at least, is that I don't seem to gel well with the people who seek me out, and the people I seek out don't really speak to me. I just wish there wasn't this big disconnect between the types of threads I want to have and the threads people want to have with me. Because Samus is a nintendo character, people seem to have this expectation that I'm all for 'cutesy dootsie' kind things when that's really not what this blog is about. I like exploring the weirder more sci-fi oriented aspects of Metroid. I like exploring the psychology of Samus. I came into Metroid from the Prime games so that's the vibe I go for. A universe with strange creatures, eldritch horror, serene loneliness, and sweeping alien vistas. I just really wish more people wanted to explore that side of it with me. I'm probably the oldest Samus blog on tumblr, but I wish more people who wanted the same kinda vibe I do wanted to connect with me. Really the whole impetus for this blog's creation was my utter disdain for Samus's portrayal in Other M. I thought I could so so much better. That I knew the kind of person Samus was; noble, altruistic, stupidly brave, and innately curious, but stubborn, vengeful, and sometimes downright sadistic. I wanted to write the kind of Samus I wanted to see. So I guess this bigass rant I kind of a call for those who want to see that. ))

About Me: Hi! My name is Hannah but I usually go by Bootytron on most things. I use roleplay as a coping mechanism and have been struggling a lot for partners within fandoms I have the most inspiration for lately. I am a huge nerd for a variety of video games, some tv shows and have a billion OCs that I rarely use. I’ve rped for over a decade.

Style: I have a tendency to write in third person in the present tense but can adjust my style according to whatever is wanted, and write according to whatever I have a response to. I enjoy both multiparagraph and short sentence replies but would prefer something longer than short sentences most of the time.

Time: Eastern Standard Time

Availability: Currently I work 11-6 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday but it could be subject to change as I slowly progress towards graduate school. I don’t do all that much so generally if I’m awake, I’m available.

Preferences: I would prefer romance / smut to be part of the roleplay but not the entirety of the roleplay. As a result, I would also prefer roleplayers 18 years of age or older – I am 22 almost 23. I don’t like fights much but I can do it as is needed. Healthy ships, past conflict is okay. I also would prefer a rp to not be mostly depressing, though I don’t mind some tragedy. I have a preference for science fiction but enjoy fantasy as well. Adventure rps are very welcome.

Shion Sakimuri - Pragmatic Cyborg Justice “Break it, and I’ll break you.”

‘Shion Sakimuri. What to say? She’s a genius, a master crafter, and she’s got kicks that will snap your bones and grind them to powder. I’m rather fond of her, in that way. She gets what needs doing done and Gods help you if you’re in the way.’

Shion was really really really fun to put together a mix for. Also really scary! I was so afraid I would get it wrong. Shion’s got a lot of things going for her that I really adore - she’s crafty, she’s techy, she’s got wicked kicks from her robot legs. She’s got a no nonsense attitude and she really brings it where it counts. So I tried in the mix to put it all into one condensed musical package.

I picked “Morning, Thinker” from THE ANSWER, which is an Armored Core: For Answer tribute album. It’s an electronic style remix that I absolutely love, and the whole album is great, you should go give it a listen. I think the lines really fit Shion: “I’m a thinker, I can break it out, I’m a shooter, a drastic baby.” And it really sets the tone for the rest of the mix!

Then the beginning starts off slow with Phendrana Drifts and a really nice remix of the Risk of Rain song Coalescence. I think Shion takes a bit to get her engine going, so to speak. She’s more the type to analyse and think before she wrecks you with her robot legs and who knows what other inventions. But once she gets going, well…

We start to slowly rev it up and kick it into gear with another track from THE ANSWER: ‘Dropping Atoms.’ It really starts setting the pace for the rest of the playlist. Following is a remix from The World Ends with You Solo Remix - a combination of Calling, Twister, and Hybrid. Then it’s a really hard beat and pace with .execute - ARIA’s theme from Killer Instinct, reinforcing Shion’s techno vibe. We swing in the downward spiral towards the end with Transformation from TWEWY, and two tracks from Max Anarchy - “The Hand of Science” because I like being on the nose, and “Laughin’ at U.” I think these highlight Shion’s ruthless side - she’s pragmatic, and if you’re in her way, she’ll fuck you up. I don’t think there’s a thing known as a ‘fair fight’ in Shion’s book - only fights she wins.

And then to round it off is Orchid’s Theme from Killer Instinct, ‘Touch Me and I’ll Break Your Face,” another rather on the nose song. And that’s Shion to me in a nutshell! I hope I get to RP with her and her writer Tart more. And soon!

“Shutupshutupshutup!” Samus grunted through a pained grimace.

It was pirating her nerves now, forcing images of that nightmare world of cyan blight to overwhelm her vision. There the beast hovered over ground the pulsed and writhed like a living breathing creature. The veins of its venom within Samus shined brighter as it spoke to her. It would be so easy to give in, to just let the madness of Phazon wash over her as it had her allies. It would be so easy to give up, to stop caring, to stop fighting for a galaxy free from horrors like this one. It would be so easy to just, lose herself, to lose her mind, her identity, and everything that made her at least mostly human. But she wasn’t human, not anymore. She hadn’t been human since the age of 3. In a way, her shadow was right. There was not a thing like Samus in all the stars. She could not be neatly categorized; she was too altered to be called human , but too human to be called Chozo. She was truly alone, the only one of her kind. The only one of her kind.

Nothing like her cyan twin. She did not exist to consume the living and spread herself like a virus. She did not exist to feast upon the innocent and destroy their minds. She was not interested in all-encompassing conquest nor did her mere presence envenom those around her. “I...am..NOTHING like you!” @bubblyroleplayingworld​

“Get. Out!” The Huntress hissed through gritted teeth. There was a great and terrible poison within her. It set her blood aflame and hammered on her nerves like thunder. It only got worse with each passing day, with each passing Leviathan she slew. She could see it just under her skin now, veins of luminescent cyan that gave her flesh an inhuman luster. The more time passed, the more of her life it sucked away. Samus was as pale as a corpse now, and she was starting to feel like death itself. That otherworldly venom brought pangs of fiery pain. Sometimes the agony was so fierce that all she could do was lie writhing on the floor until it passed. And that wasn’t even the worst of it. Phazon was more than a biological toxin. The bloom within her veins made her a prisoner of the intelligence that commanded it. Every night she’d see visions of nightmare world, a world where even the fearsome Metroid took on frightening and unnatural shapes, a world so toxic that its venom seeped out of the ground and reached for the blackened skies. Every day Samus would hear her.  She’d hear whispers of the beast, the abomination, the unholy perversion born of her flesh and armor. It was the voice of her bastard-daughter, her shadow, the dark other that refused to die. There she was again, taunting Samus, mocking Samus. And it filled her with indescribable wrath.
