Okay but listen...since I saw that pic...
We already know Billy and Nora will be students at Hiddenville High in "The Thundermans Return", so obviously, considering the age gaps, Max and Phoebe will both be adults in the movie.
Now imagine the classic Max and Phoebe eating ice cream in the kitchen after a mission scene, but it's them drinking wine.
I can literally see Hank and Barb coming into the kitchen at midnight, thinking everyone is asleep and there are Max and Phoebe just casually with their wine glasses, leaning against the counter and chatting about absolutely everything. I mean, it's kinda their brand.
#please now I just see it#thundermans#the thundermans return#max thunderman#phoebe thunderman#thundertwins#they could do this but would they?#I mean the writers because Max and Phoebe totally would#XD#lowkey they are invited to every superhero party in Metroburg because they're just the most entertaining#your party has the Thundertwins? then you know it's legit

All’s Fair In Love and War || Part One ||
Requested: Hii can you do a "enemies to lovers" trope with max and reader imagine? :)
You’re a well-known thief, always able to steal whatever target you’re given. When you’re hired to steal a ruby from the Metroburg Museum, you come face to face with the famous ThunderTwins. Who, having been defeated for the first time in a long while, are determined to take you down. But you can’t help catching the eye of one Max Thunderman and him yours. How will things work out when you’re on opposites side of the playing field?
Pairing: Max Thunderman x Reader
Warnings: Enemies to Lovers, she/her pronouns, violence/fighting, mentions of blood/bleeding
Words: 2.3K
A/N: A while ago I made a poll for something and everyone voted for Max, this was that something. Inspired form the Spider-Man/Black Cat relationship I made this for the lovely person who requested it. This is going to be several parts, so I hope you guys enjoy.
|| GIFs not mine, Black Cat GIF is just a reflection of what your villain suit looks like not your actual self ||
It was late into the night, most of Metroburg was already sound asleep with a few exceptions of course. The few villains who were out and about, and the heroes who were trying to stop them. You, being one of them, stood on the roof of the Metroburg Museum; right by the ventilation system. You were pulling it apart, tugging the cover off the vent and throwing it to the side. You snuck in once it was off before falling through the vent and landing on your feet. You landed crouched down, leaning forward and placing your hands down in front of you before you started crawling. It was a small, narrow crawlspace, barely enough room to get through it.
There were a couple turns here and there that followed, taking each one as you had memorized it beforehand. Then coming to a stop above a vent cover and peeking through the blinds, spotting what you’d come for. You smiled to yourself, crawling back a few paces before moving to rip the cover off. Throwing it aside once you did and slipping through the vent hole. You fell, a small rush of air hitting you in the face and sending a shiver of excitement through you as you landed on your feet. The fall was rougher than through the vent, causing you to land crouched with your hands planted down for support. Lucky for you, you always landed on your feet no matter the height.
You straightened up after, rolling your neck once and relaxing your body before taking a glance around you. You were quick to catch what you were looking for, a glint of red hitting your eye. Turning full face towards it, a grin appeared on your lips, stretching wide and almost Cheshire-like. Just a few feet away from you stood a bright, red ruby encased in glass. It was called the heart of the museum since it was a literal heart shaped necklace. The ruby had been kept there for years, rarely ever shown to the public since it was worth millions. If it were to go missing, it would certainly strike disaster in all Metroburg. It only made you want it more, and in turn you could sell it for so much more than it was worth. After all, there were plenty of people willing to pay top dollar for it. More so, the person who hired you in the first place.
The hard part of it was slipping it out of the box without sounding the alarm. You didn’t need to alert whatever supes were patrolling around the museum. Approaching the case, you reached towards your tool belt and pulled out a spray can. Uncapping it, you were quick to spray all around the case, showing the censored lasers that surrounded the ruby. There was more than you imagined, making you sigh as you looked for an opening between the glass and the censors.
When you found it, you slipped your hand through, being careful not to move your wrist. You laid your fingers against the glass, outstretching them some and watching as your nails grew long and pointed. You pressed them tight against the glass, turning your wrist after you did and watching as they cut a perfect circle through the glass. Once it was done, your nails retracted back, and you laid your fingers back on the glass. Twisting your hand around slowly and turning the circle until it came off. You pulled your hand back with the glass, being careful not to touch the lasers again.
After that, you crouched down, setting the glass on the floor and reaching for your tool belt again. You pulled out an object, one that weighed the same as the necklace. You were sure there was a pressure censor on it, knowing that if you just snatched it up, the alarm would sound. When you stood back up, you reached your hand back in and towards the necklace. You had to time it right to set the figurine where the necklace sat and pull the necklace away.
You took a breath, steadying your hand as you set it on the display plate and slowly inched it to the side. As you did, you pushed the necklace along and stuck your pinky out. You hooked it around the band, pulling the rest of it out and letting it dangle off your pinky. Once the figurine was set down, you pulled your hand out of the case, grinning once again. You’d done it, you managed to steal one of the most valuable items in the world. You slipped the necklace into one of the pockets of your utility belt, ready to go on your way.
“That’s far enough,” you heard a voice say behind you.
You scoffed at the impeccable timing, standing up straight and rolling your neck before turning around. Behind you stood Max and Phoebe, the hottest superheroes in metroburg at the moment. They had risen to the top faster than any superhero ever had, given their own task force before even becoming full-fledged heroes. Though you hardly saw them as a challenge, knowing about their numerous failed missions from before. They were messy, which meant you could escape them easily.
“Well, if it isn’t dumb and dumber,” you said.
You smirked at the looks of offense on their faces, mirroring each other in a perfect twin sense.
“Okay, that was rude,” Phoebe scoffed. “No matter, we’re still going to take you down.”
“Sure, give it your best shot,” you mused out as you reached into your belt and threw something at them.
It hit the ground a few inches in front of them, exploding and releasing smoke. It clouded their vision immediately and you took the opportunity to run away. You didn’t want to deal with the pesky telekinesis they both had. You could hear coughing as the smoke invaded their lungs, but you didn’t look back. Instead, you took a turn and ran for the exit you had planned. You were avoiding going through the front, knowing there would surely be police waiting for you.
“Not so fast,” you heard from behind you.
“Shit,” you mumbled out, feeling a force acting from behind you.
It was Max who spoke, using his telekinesis to pull you back as you fought against it. It won in the end, he managed to pull you back enough to try and capture you. You didn’t let him though, turning around in a roundhouse kick. One you managed to land, kicking him in the stomach and watching him fly back against the wall.
“Sorry, pretty boy, but I have somewhere to be,” you told him before trying to run off again.
“Think again,” Phoebe said, appearing at your side.
She threw a punch at you, but your reflexes allowed you to evade her punch. You let out a breath of air as you stepped back, irritation slowly rising inside you. You really didn’t have time for this, you had somewhere to be, and they were getting in your way.
Just as you had deflected Phoebe’s punch, Max had recovered and jumped back in. He threw a punch of his own, one he landed square on your jaw and sending you flying back. This time it was you who flew into the wall from the force, an ache growing on your jaw. You steadied yourself against the wall, looking up and sending a glare Max’s way. Now you were pissed, it was rare for a superhero to get in your way. You were an excellent thief, always able to get in and out without trouble. Except for now.
“Tch. Pesky wonder twins,” you mumbled again.
You straightened up, looking between both twins and trying to come up with a strategy. They were both in fighting stances, ready for whatever you were going to throw at them.
“Give up, you aren’t getting past us,” Phoebe told you.
“I wouldn’t be too sure about that,” was your response.
You went for Phoebe first, knowing you could take her down faster before focusing on Max. You threw a punch at Phoebe, watching her evade it like you expected. You didn’t let her recover before your leg lifted and made contact with her stomach. You kicked her down, watching her land roughly on the floor and holding her stomach. You knew it would take her a while to get back up, meaning you could take care of Max in the meantime.
You turned to look at him, just in time to step back before he hit you. You shot him another glare and went in for a kick at his side. He dodged it and grabbed ahold of your ankle before pushing you away. It caused you to lose your balance, falling back on your ass. You clenched your jaw, looking up at Max and the smug smile on his face. You hated it, you wanted to wipe it off his face, but there was something about it. Something that caused a stir in your stomach and sent a tingle down your spine. For the enemy, he was so damn hot.
That wasn’t the point right now, you couldn’t let your thoughts distract you from escaping. So, you stood back up, along with Phoebe who had recovered. You were back to facing the two of them. You shook yourself off, arms outstretching at your side and claws extending out. They were long and sharp, enough to leave deep wounds if you really wanted to. You didn’t wait for either of them to make the first move, stepping forward and striking with one of your hands. You went for Max first this time, claws barely scratching his suit as he leaped back.
You took a swing at Phoebe next, hand going to her face and managing to scratch her cheek. You could feel the skin split open against your nail and watched blood seep through. Phoebe’s hand flew up to her face, gloved hand rubbing at her cheek and wiping away at the blood. She looked at her hand, shock on her face as she looked between you and her palm.
“Woah, that is so not cool,” she scoffed out.
“I’m sorry, did I hurt you?” you asked, feigning remorse.
She shot you a glare, not appreciative of your sarcasm. “Don’t worry, I’ll return the favor.”
You faked a look of fear before rolling your eyes and retreating your claws back. You’d gotten what you wanted out of them, and they weren’t exactly your favorite to use. You dug a hand in your belt, pulling out a device and throwing it at Phoebe. It attached itself to her suit and distracted her as she tried to pull it off. It was too late; the device activated and shot an electric pulse over her body. It wasn’t hurtful but it was enough to knock her down and let you leave.
“Okay, that was kind of funny but dude, that’s my sister,” Max yelled out, holding back a laugh.
“Sorry, like I said, I have somewhere to be,” you said, once again feigning remorse.
He rolled his eyes this time and shot forward, swinging recklessly as if he were tired of fighting and just wanted to knock you down. You dodged each punch he threw, stepping back to create some distance so you could strike back. He wasn’t letting you, continuing to swing at you and hoping for the best. You had to give it to him though, he was persistent which sort of made him hotter.
“You know you’re pretty cute for a superhero,” you told him.
Your words caught him off guard and he stopped, looking at you like you grew an extra head. You took this as your chance, dropping to the ground and placing your hands in front of you. You used them to balance yourself before extending your leg out and sitting back on your heel. You spun around after, aiming for Max’s ankles and using your leg to swipe him under his feet. You managed to hit him clean through, knocking him off his feet and onto his back.
You smiled to yourself, standing up and looming over him, looking down at him. He groaned in pain, slightly curling himself up into a ball which only made you smile more. “But you’re not my type. Until next time, pretty boy.”
With both twins finally down, you took the opportunity to make your escape and disappeared before their eyes. Phoebe regained consciousness and sat up, hand against her temple to soothe the building headache. She looked over at Max who was lying next to her, staring up at the ceiling in defeat.
“She got away,” he mumbled out bitterly.
“You let her get away?” Phoebe shrieked.
“It’s not my fault, she got the better of me,” he answered. “But damn, she was hot.”
“Max! She stole the heart of the museum, and you called her hot?” she continued to yell.
“We’ll get it back, we can find her,” he said, sighing out heavily.
“You better be right,” Phoebe grumbled out.
She stood up after, hand outstretching towards Max and helping him up too. They were going to have report this back to the president, ashamed that they would have to admit defeat.

The Thundermans Return
All right, I've finally watched the movie and just like old times, I have to give my honest opinion.
But first things first. It's been 6 years since the finale was aired and I must say I was so excited when Kira shared on her Instagram account, that they were making a movie and she was executive producer.
Since there was practically nothing filmed back then, I thought it was going to be for teenagers or adults, just like the revival of iCarly or Zoey 102, but I was wrong.
After watching the trailer I realized it was for kids, just like the original show, which wasn't that big of a deal and I watched the movie two days after the day of its release on Paramount+ and here are my thoughts.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
The movie starts with the family saving Metroburg from a meteor shower, using every one of their powers, something Hank could've easily taken care of, but still, it was pretty cool though.
And I have to say, those suits were awesome. They remind me of those kind of tactical suits wore by a few characters from TV Shows like Arrow or Supergirl. It was good to see the whole cast together after one more time. Also, those who were kids back in the day, looked like different actors, after only 6 years.
But anyway. After that, the title rolls and the family gathers in the headquarters, ready to spend a family night, but all Phoebe wants is to keep saving the day and is implied that she and Max have been doing that for quite some time.
They find a crime in progres but instead of letting other supes to handle for that night, the twins force their family to go stop a villain from robbing a bank.
They all teleport to the crime scene but things don't go as they expected, and due to Pheobe's orders, they end up injuring one of the V-Team members, as the other two stop the villain and save the day.
I don't know know they lost control of the situation like that. 7 supes against 1 villain, that's just too much. This is something Max and Phoebe could've screwed up by themselves, but well.
Soon, President Kickbutt shows up to inform that due to the injuried hero, they are gonna be replaced by the V-Team as well as get kicked out of the Hero League, which brings them back to Hiddenville.
And this is when we learn that the Thunderman family have been working as the T-Force at Metroburg for solid 3 years, leaving their old lifestyle behind.
Now everyone try to fit in their old town again. Max goes to his lair and finds Dr. Colosso having a tiki party with his furry friends. They talk about what happened and then Phoebe shows up to speak to him and they both seem to agree on using their powers for good, to which Dr. Colosso just laughs at them.
Then we see that Nora has finally outgrown from wearing bows and she makes it very clear by lasering the one Barb was holding for her. Then she and Hank see that Chloe is getting ready to go to the park while carrying a skateboard. They're scared something might happen to her, but let her go anyway, which makes them feel useless parents.
See the pattern here?
In the meantime, Billy and Nora are now attending to Hiddenville High, which by the way, doesn't make Principal Bradford and his ponytail very happy.
It was refreshing to see Billy and Nora as teenagers. Just like Max and Phoebe at the beginning of season 1.
As for the twins, Phoebe meets with Cherry at Splatburger, hoping to find a job soon and Max on the other hand, meets there too with his friends from the band, for old times' sake.
It was really cool to see all these funny characters once again. I had a lot of memories from "Never Friending Story", "Parents Just Don't Thunderstand" or "Exit Stage Theft".
At the same time, we see the V-Team is visiting Metroburg Superjail and we find out that they're actually a group of supervillains posing as heroes; the children of King Crab, Strongdor, and Dark Mayhem.
Their plan is simple: create an army of supervillains with a secret object hidden by the Hero League. The old guys had a plan that only boomers would understand, but is discarted immediately.
Later, Max and Phoebe are still trying to get back in the Hero League as the Tree Force, but then realize that their family doesn't want to fight crime anymore, so they're alone with this.
And man, this is always funny. I always liked all those jokes involving Max and Phoebe wearing costumes or disguises to go unnoticed. Not to mention that dweeb thing at the end of the scene xD
So much memories!
Then, back Max's lair Dr. Colosso helps Max to find out who the V-Team members really are, as Phoebe does the same by herself. Now both of them are aware that the V-Team is a group of villains.
And this is when Pheebs finally suits up as Thundergirl to go stop the bad guys alone. I wonder why they used the old suit, instead of the one with the skirt.
Who am I fooling? She looks good with both.
Back in Hidennville High, Nora and Billy are trying their best to make new friends and they only succeed the moment they start showing off their powers in front of everyone.
Leading to a small arguing between them, that ends with a tragedy for Bradford.
Meanwhile in Metroburg, the V-Team is desperately looking for the object they need. Then we learn that Dark Mayhem Jr. has the same sadistic habit Nora has; to laser poeple willy-nilly, ever since he was a kid.
Then Phoebe shows up, trying to enter by force in their old headquarters and stop all of them, but Max surprises her from behind and drags her back to hide from the villains, while watching them closely.
However, at some point they screw it up and get caught by the V-Team.
Back in Hiddenville, Hank and Barb are still worried about Chloe hanging out at the park with some new friends, so they ask uncle Blobbin a helicopter to go take care of her from the sky.
I never was a fan of uncle Blobbin, but it was cool this character was included for a small scene.
And yeah, looks like Hank and Barb are going throught the same crisis they went, when Max and Phoebe decided to celebrate their birthday by throwing a party at Wong's Pizza Palace. Their victims back then were Billy and Nora, now is young Chloe.
Anyway, they have a little accident (thanks to Cherry) and the helicopter crashes on the park. The two of them are fine, but all this makes Chloe realize that they've been spying on her all along and gets mad at them.
At the same time, Max and Phoebe are being interrogated by the V-Team, tied up with their own capes. I wish they were shown losing a fight against the villains at least, because it is implied that's what happened off screen. Just saying.
To me, there's no way they could've lost a fight against those villains, not with their multiple powers. Frozen by freeze breath, knocked out agains a wall with telekinesis, electrically shocked with the twin power, etc. And these are only non-letal options, but anyway.
Their goal is to get the Acacía Fantasticus, a very rare plant that can give people superpowers, either good (blue) or evil (red).
They mention that people from the past known for demonstrating superpowers had eaten the seeds of this plant, which is interesting, since they're finally revealing the origin of superpowers in the Thundermans world.
However, the way is gonna be presented seems like a terrible idea, but I'll talk about it later.
Since the twins don't have any idea where the power plant is, they're taken to Mayhem café, Dark Mayhem's old lair with a special booth perfectly designed to torture every member of the Thundermans family.
They activate it, and this is when the Thundertwins die horribly ☹️
Nah, I'm joking 🤣
I'm gonna have to leave it here, since Tumblr has a new limit of 30 pictures per post, so here's the end of Part 1.
Stay tunned for Part 2.

We'll Raise Him Right
Tagged: Charlotte Page, Max Thunderman, Mika Macklin
Notes: Don't mind me. Just clearing my mind of a little bit of Charlotte x Max lore from my notes.
Plot: Charlotte Page and Max Thunderman's firstborn child gets his superpowers and Charlotte is not sure what she thinks of it all. Potentially Zenryverse, but no mention of Zenryverse characters.
Most superpowers come haphazardly. Charlotte could remember Max claiming that the Incredibles had it easy when Jack Jack was cycling through his in that movie. She had heard all about the fiasco of Chloe going through hers. She even watched footage and read every available article from the Metroburg Library on the subject. Alas, nothing can really fully prepare a typical human woman for the power manifestation of a supe infant.
Max wanted her to stay elsewhere until Baby Maximillian settled on a superpower, but there was no way that she was leaving her baby for some undetermined amount of time. So, when he cycled through storm powers, superstrength, shapeshifting and telepathy; Charlotte was present, nearby, trying to avoid demise as Max caught and comforted Mini Max. He would often do so by singing him lullabies and rocking him gently. That always seemed to be soothing for the baby in those trying times.
Eventually, Baby Maximillian began singing. He was 2 years old with the most beautiful singing voice Charlotte had ever heard. It was haunting, even. She was about to make note of that fact when suddenly, a violent scream tore through the sky and through her thoughts. An oncoming car swerved and missed hitting her by mere inches and she panicked as she realized that she was in the middle of the street. Horns honked at her, but she was more concerned about where her child was. She had been with him, and next thing she knew, she was in the street! What if someone had hit him? Tears welled in her eyes, but she heard crying and turned to see him, standing on the sidewalk, crying miserably.
The crying sounded excruciating. It was tearing her heart as she rushed to him. All she wanted was for it to stop. She pushed through the dread and gathered him to her heart. “Oh, Baby! Mommy’s so sorry! I don’t know what happened.” She was crying now, too. She felt filled with fear and guilt, but having him alive in her arms and knowing he was safe ended that and she rushed home to get him to Max. Max would be able to console him. “What the butt happened?” She asked herself.
Max answered, after she gave him the rundown, “I would say the siren’s song, from the first part, but then the sonic scream would be what broke the trance and probably knocked the car out of the way, but then again… his crying repelled you. That’s at least 3 different things that usually don’t happen from the same supe.” Baby Maximillian was asleep in his father’s arms and had been from the moment Max chilled him out with lullabies. Charlotte reached over to stroke his little head.
“Is there something that can do all of that? Like maybe a general vocal superpower?”
Max thought for a moment then cheered, “That’s it! Voice Manipulation! Usually, there’s only one or two applications per supe, hence why I said that those other things were what I said they were. Typically, supes don’t have those combined. For instance, some have the ability to mimic any sound, and some can mimic any voice, those two might be powers that one has, or they could only be ble to do one of those. Typically, voice manipulation, even though there are many types, the supe only has a slice or two. But if one has voice manipulation and is still cycling through potential powers, it's possible that he was maybe cycling through various voice manipulations and that’s why such differing applications all came out of him while he was panicked.”
Charlotte frowned, eyeing her computer, “Well, according to the database, a voice manipulator has the potential to hone several abilities if they began manifesting them before their age of acquisition. So.. because he cycled through those, he could very possibly wind up with all of that. In other words, those with only one voice manipulation power prior to settling on a voice manipulation power will only have that one, but somebody who cycles through multiple ones and wind up with that power might have others, if they wind up with voice manipulation.”
Max finally put their son into his crib and took a breath, “Well then, I guess our current mystery is whether he has landed on that superpower and if so, what applications has he already cycled through.”
.
Mika was smiling brightly, and full of all of the fervor and excitement that she always had for things. “ I am SO GLAD that you called me about this! Of course, as someone with a voice manipulation superpower, I have life experience with the subject. I have read and studied every superpower in the database, but voice manipulation is my area of expertise! I wrote the, now, most studied article in the world on the subject of the Song Manipulation Curse of Swellview from when we were kids to get into the Secret Academy of Superpower Studies, and my sonic scream journals that I kept for my own powers have been introduced into curriculum in Hero University, for training. I created a signature special pitch that can be used by manipulators of both sonic scream and siren song, so I even have expertise in that!” She clapped her hands once and rubbed them together, “I can hardly wait to get a look at Maximillian’s vocal system!” She squealed happily and reached for the toddler.
He looked at her, looked at his mother, then back to Mika, then to Charlotte again. “It’s okay, Maxi. She’s Mommy and Daddy’s friend,” Charlotte told him. He looked back and forth once more then went to Mika’s outstretched arms. Charlotte kissed him on the forehead and strummed his cheek, then looked at Mika with a warning glance.
“Charlotte, I will take care of him like he is my most important project.”
“He isn’t a project. He’s my only child.” Charlotte said. “And if something happened to him, I will take care of you.”
“Unnecessary, but noted.”
Charlotte had always been good at school, but she didn’t necessarily love doing school work. Mika, on the other hand lived for it. One thing that they definitely both had in common was loving science experiments and studies. Charlotte was just as excited about the tests that Mika would be performing as Mika was, if not a bit more apprehensive because the tests were on her son.
“According to the information that you gave in your statements, the scans, and tests, these are the observations that I’ve made so far. Firstly, there is an emotional component to the sounds that he makes. There appears to be some type of impassioned voice activated hypnosis. You were both privy to this and unfortunately almost fell prey to it. We know that it wasn’t his intention to harm you or scare you. You were likely in a state of bliss and absentmindedness. Some use this to begin a series of behaviors for the intended. Some call it siren song, as Max did, because it tends to be presented in song form in most lore. Fun fact - hypnotic voice, as I like to refer to it, doesn’t have to sung to affect. It can be operated in words, usually with a certain prompt, for example “I heard a rumor.” Hypnotic voice can also be operated in other vocal functions, such as laughter and..”
“Crying.”
“He’s not old enough or trained enough to control it, so whenever he sang earlier, being happy, you must have been in the hypnotic state that led you into the middle of the street. Do you remember what you felt? Was it mindless, carefree, or something else? Was he determined to get somewhere? Like, a cookie shop across the street or something?”
“I don’t know. I don’t remember him seeming to want something… I don’t really remember anything from the singing until the screaming.”
Mika nodded, empathetically. Then, she immediately cheered back up, “Look.” She showed Charlotte the brain scans. “It makes sense that you can’t remember what was happening during this, because his memory hasn’t fully formed. If Maximillian had a more developed hippocampus, I think that you would have most likely have felt either whatever he was feeling in the moments of the hypnosis, or, if he truly gets to hone this ability; you would feel whatever he would want you to feel.”
Charlotte looked horrified.
Max smiled, “Villain era me would’ve LOVED to help hone a power like that!”
“It can be used for good!” Mika insisted, “It isn’t mind control. He wouldn’t be able to force someone to follow specific orders, but he very well could possibly get others to feel like they want to do something.”
“That worries me,” Charlotte admitted.
“Nonsupes HONESTLY have got to stop demonizing powers, and supes are no better when it comes to siren song. Just because someone has a hypnotic nature doesn’t mean that they will try to use it against others,” Mika complained. “Note to self, commission a directive to work against hypnotic voice prejudice.”
Max rolled his eyes and sorted through Mika’s findings himself. “Good news!” Mika changed the subject, slightly. “Hypnotic voice doesn’t seem to be the supreme voice manipulation power that he holds. It belongs under the umbrella of the most potently used one that he has. Sonic Scream!” She didn’t hide her excitement at all. “He must’ve realized that you were in danger and his fear made him activate the power that he needed in order to help you.”
“So… he’s a noise maker,” Max said matter of factly.
“He is a soundwaves specialist!” Mika defended. “Or, he will be, if we raise him right.” She giggled gleefully.
Charlotte and Max exchanged looks. His was hopeful. Hers was worried. Her child was already half nonsupe, and now he had this demonized superpower in the supes community… Max gave her a nudge with his forehead, “We’ll raise him right, Charlight.” She nodded and relaxed a little.

the whole premise of the thunderman's made no sense. if hank and barb wanted their kids to have a normal life then they should have stayed in metroburg. in metroburg they were regular people because everyone had superpowers. in hiddenville all they do is hide their powers/who they are. to live a life where they are seen as normal they should have stayed in metroburg.

Me if the thundermans had more of weather based powers:
like can you imagine it, like what if hank had storm powers (and general weather) to go with the general Theme of "ThunderMan" and to match barb's lighting powers like If He could control ThunderClouds that would be so Cool
I would have loved it if Thunderman And Electricess were the Weather Based Superhero's of Metroburg and Hiddenville (LITERALLY A MISSED OPPORTUNITY, and am I only saying that because their name is Thunderman, ABSOLUTELY BABY)
And would if the kids got similar weather
powers to go with their current ones like Phoebe and Max literally both Heat and Freeze breathe
(which is the closest i thing I'll get to happiness )
•Phoebe and Max: what if they inherited
another set of powers that's (mostly) Precipitation based, that’s not full on weather Manipulation just the Thermal and Water Manipulation aspect of it
and if they worked together it could create a giant storm
•Billy: would love it so much if Billy could just
make Tornadoes or maybe Hurricanes, like the Formula is there people, and also just winds in general, yes he does that swoosh* motion but come on be sick if he could do more if they all could do more (and something similarly already showed in s4 e17) [i wrote this before getting to that episode 💀]
•Nora: Not only can she shoot lazers my generate the heat of the sun, like Nora becomes a walking oven, which she can control like how hot and how she transmits it or how she "radiates"

The Thundermans Return Review: A Disappointing Blast to the Past
The Thundermans Return, directed by Trevor Kirschner and written by Jed Spingarn, aims to rekindle the love and nostalgia for the original television series The Thundermans that aired from 2013 to 2018. While it successfully reunites the original cast, including Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Addison Riecke, Diego Velazquez, Maya Le Clark, Chris Tallman, and Rosa Blasi, the film ultimately falls short in delivering a fresh and compelling narrative, relying heavily on tired tropes and recycled jokes that leave much to be desired. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYA5WOFhd-Y At its core, the plot is a typical superhero adventure where the Thunderman family once again faces off against their nemeses while dealing with the dynamics of family life and high school. The meteor incident in Metroburg quickly escalates to the introduction of the V-Team, leading to the Thundermans' suspension and a rather clichéd chain of events where Max and Phoebe strive to reclaim their superhero status. While the initial premise sounds like it could be a recipe for some fun, the execution lacks the original charm and wit of the series. The film’s attempt to juggle the humorous family antics with action sequences results in a disjointed narrative that fails to fully engage. The humor, which was a cornerstone of the television series, feels forced and uninspired throughout the film. Scenes meant to provoke laughter oftentimes feel predictable and rehashed. Moreover, the dialogue often misses the mark, with jokes that feel more like placeholders than thoughtfully crafted humor. The returning cast members' performances are one of the film's few saving graces, bringing familiarity and comfort. Kira Kosarin and Jack Griffo, as Phoebe and Max Thunderman, maintain their chemistry. They also manage to infuse some life into the otherwise stale script. The younger cast members, including Addison Riecke and Diego Velazquez, deliver energetic performances. The special effects and action sequences provide a mixed bag. While some of the superhero antics are visually entertaining, others come across as overly CGI-heavy. They lack the inventive spark needed to elevate them above standard television fare. This inconsistency hampers viewer immersion in the Thundermans' world. The Thundermans Return tries to strike a balance between catering to the nostalgia of fans and attracting a new audience. However, it struggles to achieve either goal effectively. The film feels like a missed opportunity to explore new territory with beloved characters. Instead, it opts for a safe, formulaic approach that doesn't quite capture the magic of the original series. The Thundermans Return is a disappointing follow-up. It will likely leave fans of the original series longing for the show's heyday. The lack of originality in the film dampens the pleasure of seeing favorite characters reunite on screen. A talented cast can't save this superhero comedy from being a shallow nostalgia trip. Read the full article

What's the Thundermans about? I've seen your liveblogging but don't have enough context to really know what's up
A family of former superheroes and their 4 superkids (they’re all called “supes”) retire from Metroburg to Hiddenville (XD) to live a relatively normal life.
The first two seasons are on Netflix! But it isn’t on wco ;-;
Nickelodeon, pre-COVID

The Thundermans Return (new poster) (discussion + theory)
There are two versions (that I found so far) of the poster! BOTH are really, really confusing, but let's analyze!
Let's actually start with the background: it's Hiddenville, which makes sense ("The Thundermans Return" to Hiddenville), but we already know that the movie will take place in various locations, so I really hope we will get to see more of Metroburg (and that it will be included in a poster too). But it's really nostalgic and...strangely it sets a very interesting mood. I can't find the right word for it right now. Especially with the color of the sky. You really know SOMETHING is going to go down this time.
Now about the Thundermans. We have Max and Phoebe at the front: the new supersuits look really cool (especially the gloves!) and we have a standard pose that works well. Just one question: WHERE is the rest of Phoebe's left arm. At first thought she had her left hand on her hip, but obviously not, so this remains a mystery for now 🕵️♂️. Notice how all of the Thundermans are posing slightly differently and only the twins' poses are exactly the same! We -again-see the golden stripes on Max's arm that stand for being one of the captains of the T-Force (formally the Z-force). He also has a device (maybe a smartphone) in the pocket on his leg. In general, it seems that all the individual suits are slightly different (not just the boys and the girls).
(insert deleted comment about Max's new hairstyle here XD)
I want to talk about Billy next, because I just live for how happy he looks. Look at him. He's happy to be there, he looks cool and he's all ready to go! And no, he and the twins are not on a staircase or something - Diego is simply this tall now (and Phoebe and Max are both in a medium squat).
Next we have Nora: she has darker hair now (resembling Phoebe's hair colour) and I really like the pose she does with her left hand to focus her laser. Unfortunately her stance is slightly strange to me (but that's maybe also because Phoebe's elbow is covering half of her leg).
I don't have much to say about Hank and Barb, so let's move on to Chloe, who the center of this whole picture. I'm really intrigued by this. I love her smile and overall expression -she knows exactly what she's doing. AND - after looking at this picture for several minutes- she's sitting on a FLYING skateboard! Then there's a second flying skateboard with Dr. Colosso on top. WHAT is going on!? My first guess: flying skateboard - hoverboard-time travel. I actually made a post once on how Chloe might be able to travel in time due to her teleportation power. For me it makes sense (I will discuss this again on here soon), because it also helps with my theory of Mayhem's return (from the past, where he was more powerful). Also the "Thundermans Return..." return back to the future!?!? 👀
My last point is related to this theory. I saw this poster and thought it was strange (but very cool still!). And I thought it's the arm or leg placement, the composition, but you know what? It's the light. Let me explain: there are lights that comes from the sky, the background, then the ones from their individual superpowers (lasers for Nora, lightning for Barb etc.), but when you look closely at the wider poster, you will see a strange light in front of Phoebe and Max too. It doesn't look like telekinetic waves (which are normally not visible, but we saw them once on screen in the episode "Cape Fear"). Actually, I think this light comes from Chloe! She's in the middle, but creates a circular light (you can't really tell in the small poster, only in the wide version) around the Thundermans! Notice how Max's hand is almost reaching out through something - could it be a portal!?!? That really should be it, because Dr. Colosso is very obviously traveling through a portal as well. So are the Thundermans going back in time to stop their enemies? To stop Mayhem?!
Okay one more thing: the formation of the Thundermans kinda looks like a T and I'm so here for it. I can't wait!!! And I am so happy we got a poster!!!

Revenge || The Thundermans ||
Request: if you’re taking request, would you mind doing some max angst? Something about him being protective to uhh a self-sacrificing extent?
Pairing: Max Thunderman x Reader
Warnings: Angst, few swears, minor kidnapping, break ups
Words: 3.6K
A/N: Finally finished this request and to the anon who requested it, I hope it came out to your satisfaction. Lol what’s more self-sacrificing than going up against a crazy villain wanting revenge. And ended with a cliff hanger because might make a part two, if anyone’s interested. Anyway, let me know what you thought!
There was a heavy feeling in Max’s heart as he approached your door, dreading what he had to do. But it was something that needed to be done, it was to protect you. To protect you from the man who swore revenge on him, his family, and anyone they loved. That included you, you were his girlfriend, the person he loved most in the world. Which meant that you were at risk of being hurt from Dark Mayhem and whatever evil he was concurring.
The man had managed to escape from Metroburg SuperJail a couple weeks ago. The family had been alerted of his escape by the president and they had since taken extra precaution. And then he had contacted them, hacked their smart home monitor and delivered his message. He was coming for them and anyone they’ve ever come in contact with. Thankfully for them, most of their friends were superheroes and were already on high alert for him. That just left their non-superhero friends that they had to watch out for.
Phoebe had already told Cherry and even managed to get her and her family an all expenses paid cruise ship. They set up watchpoints around the town, other superheroes helping out when they had a chance. The only thing that left was protecting you. Max had informed you of what was happening and you wanted to stay nearby to help. He was more than okay with that since that meant he could keep a close eye on you. Or so he thought. But then there had been some close calls with other superheroes, making it known that no matter how good and prepared they were, Dark Mayhem could still get to them.
He had to get you away from all of this, to keep you safe until they managed to capture him again. But he couldn’t do that if he was the reason you kept hanging around. The only way to get you far away from him was to break up with you, to give you a reason to go. That’s why he was here today, standing outside your door with a heavy heart. He knocked on the door and waited patiently for you to answer. You were home alone so it would make things easier, both your parents were away at work.
You answered the door, your face lighting up when you saw him only broke his heart further. “Max, hey, what’s up?”
“Can we talk?” He asked, swallowing thickly as the dread continued to weigh on him.
Your smile dropped when you noticed the serious look on his face. You could only nod and move out of the way to let him come in. You followed him over to your couch where you sat down, neither of you saying a word. You could only imagine what was going through his mind, no doubt something about Dark Mayhem. You certainly didn’t expect what came next.
“I’m breaking up with you,” He said.
His words barely registered in your head as you tried to wrap your head around them. You didn’t understand, everything was good between the two of you. So why was he saying something like this?
“W-Why?” You uttered.
Your voice was hushed and strained and only broke his heart further but he couldn’t back out. He had to do this, it was the only way to keep you safe. You felt tears prick the corner of your eyes and you did your best to blink them away before Max could see.
“It’s for the best {Name}. I need to concentrate on catching Dark Mayhem,” He answered.
“I don’t understand. I-I thought you said I could help, I was helping. So what’s changed?” You questioned.
He didn’t know what to say that wouldn’t ensue an argument between the two of you. But there wasn’t anything that was going to prevent that because you weren’t letting go without a fight.
“You were! But now the situation changed, taking him down could take months. It’ll take all of our time, we might even have to relocate. I can’t put you through that, you shouldn’t have to go through that,” He argued.
“I’m choosing to stay with you and help, you’re not making me go through something I’m not okay with. I don’t care how long it’ll take to catch him, and if you relocate, I’ll come with. We can make this work!” You fought.
“We can’t, you can’t just uproot your life to follow me. What about school? Your friends? What are you going to tell your parents?”
“I-I don’t but I’ll figure it out. I can’t just let you go through this alone.”
“I won’t be alone, I have my family and we have every superhero on the lookout. We’ll be fine.”
“Th-Then I don’t understand why we have to break up! Do you-Do you not love anymore? Are you just trying to be nice by telling me that it’s because of this?”
Like he thought, you weren’t going to let this go without a fight. So maybe, maybe he should agree with what you just said. “I don’t.” He found himself saying before throughly thinking it through.
You let out a strangled gasp and tears welled up in your eyes. “You don’t mean that.”
He took a deep breath, it was now or never. “I do. You’re right, I was just trying to be nice about it. I don’t love you anymore. In fact, these past couple of weeks all you’ve been is a distraction to all of us. I can’t concentrate on finding Dark Mayhem because I have to keep an eye on you all the time. It’s tiring having to do both things at once.”
“Are you kidding me? I didn’t ask you to protect me! I can protect myself. All I wanted was to help track Mayhem down not to play damsel in distress. If you didn’t want me there, you could have told me to fuck off in the first place.”
“Would you have listened, if I told you to stay home or away from this? The only thing I could do was keep an eye on you and make sure you don’t go running into danger. But now I guess I don’t have to because I’m done!”
A stray tear rolled down your and it took everything in you not to break down right then and there. “Yeah, I guess you don’t. So go, go catch your bad guy and don’t worry about me. I’m fine on my own,”
You looked away from him, not wanting to let Max see you crying. It didn’t matter, he already knew you were and it was all because of him. But at least this way, you’ll stay away from him and everything that’s going on. At least this way he’ll know you’re safe from Dark Mayhem…right?
He didn’t say anything after that, there was nothing left to be said. Instead he got up and walked to the door, taking one last look at you before he left. You were turned away from him, hiding your silent crying from him. His heart hurt and all he wanted to do was run over to you and scoop you up in his arms. He wanted to apologize and tell you none of it was true. But he couldn’t. So he left, leaving you alone to cry your heart out. You waited until the door closed before letting out a strangled sob, feeling your heart break completely.
-
He should’ve kept you closer, should’ve locked you away in his room until this was all over. But no, instead he broke up with you because he thought it would be safer. He fucked up and now you were gone, taken by Mayhem as revenge. Max was pacing around in the living room as he and his family brainstormed where Dark Mayhem could’ve been hiding you. But he couldn’t think, the only thing on his mind being you and what could be happening to you at the moment.
“Max, honey, you need to calm down,” His mother said, stopping his pacing so he could face her.
“I can’t calm down, not while she’s out there with him,” He exclaimed, running his hands through his hair roughly and breathing heavily. “I broke up with her because I thought it would be safer. If she was away from all of this, then nothing would have happened. How could I have been so stupid?”
He slumped down on the couch, head in his hands, trying not to pull his own hair out in frustration. “Max, none of this is your fault. You thought you were protecting her, on one can blame you for that.” Phoebe spoke up.
He knew she was trying to comfort him but it wasn’t doing anything for him. He could only think about how this was all his fault. The Thunder Monitor started ringing, catching the family’s attention as a transmission from the president came through. They had informed her of the situation, how Mayhem kidnapped you, in hopes of her helping them find you.
“President Kickbutt, anything?” Max asked desperately.
“Maybe. We managed to get a location after locating where his signal from his message came from,” She informed them.
“Great, let’s go then!” He exclaimed.
“But before that, there’s something we should discuss,” She said.
-
You stirred awake, feeling an aching pain coming from the back of your head. Your eyes opened slowly, adjusting to the slight darkness of the room. You tried to move, to lift a hand to the aching spot behind your head and soothe it. But you couldn’t, finding yourself tied to the chair you were sat in. The awareness of being tied up awoke you further and panic started filling your being. You looked around the semi dark room, there wasn’t much that you could make out. There was light coming from the other side of the room but it didn’t do much to light up the place. There were cement floors and walls, with metal barrels full of whatever littered all over the place. It looked like you were in an abandoned warehouse or factory.
“Oh good, you’re awake. Wouldn’t want you to miss any fun,” A deep voice spoke up.
Coming into view was the very man who was on the run from every superhero, Dark Mayhem. You thrashed against the chair but your bindings did nothing to free you. He merely laughed at your feeble attempt of escape, knowing that there wasn’t any.
“Now now, no need to be like that. You wouldn’t want to hurt yourself,” He said menacingly.
You glared at him, jaw clenching and eyes narrowing, trying not show him any reaction. “What do you want?”
“Revenge mostly. For what your little boyfriend and his sister did. And you are going to help me get it,” He told you.
“Oh yeah? And how is that?” You asked.
“You’re gonna help me lure them out here. And once I’ve trapped them, they’ll pay for everything they’ve put me through,” He explained.
“Great, except one tiny little problem. Max isn’t gonna come for me. We broke up, genius. Practically hates my guts, so good luck with that,” You told him, giving him a sarcastic smile.
“Is that so? Didn’t seem that way when we spoke. He’s probably driving himself insane trying to look for you,” He replied, laughing like the maniac he is.
You furrowed your eyebrows at him in disbelief. “You’re lying.” You whispered out.
“Maybe I am, maybe I’m not,” He said.
You could practically hear the smug smile behind his mask and you wanted nothing more than to punch him. He walked away, laughing evilly as he did, probably off to do god knows what. You leaned back against your chair and sighed heavily, thinking about what he said. Max was coming to get you? Impossible, not after practically telling you you were nothing but a nuisance and telling you to fuck off. So why would he come for you? Why not just let Mayhem hold you and do whatever he wants? Hero or not, he made it pretty clear that he doesn’t care for you. Well, you’re just gonna have to wait and see.
-
Max and Phoebe stood outside the abandoned warehouse where Dark Mayhem was hiding out in. They were going over their plan before entering. They had no doubt in their minds that Mayhem had set up a trap for them. Whatever it was, they could handle it, their main priority right now was getting you out safely. Then they could deal with Mayhem knowing you were safe and away from all of this.
Getting inside the warehouse was easy, too easy which meant that at any moment Dark Mayhem could come out. They maneuvered through the mess inside, spotting a figure in the corner. Max rushed over to you, noticing that you were tied up and unconscious. Worry flooded his entire being as his hand held your face, trying to wake you up. You felt yourself being shaken awake, you must’ve dozed off at some point. You looked over at who woke you, expecting to see Mayhem but it wasn’t him.
“You’re here,” You whispered, seeing Max’s face light up.
“Yeah, I’m here. Are you okay? Did he do anything to you?” He asked.
“No, I’m fine, I just dozed off. Why are you here? You can’t be here, this is a trap,” You replied, starting to panic as you became more alert.
“I know, I figured it would be. But I wasn’t going to let him keep you hostage,” He said.
“Why?” You asked, it being the only word you could manage out.
He was confused as to why you would ask before remembering that you thought he hated you. “Because if anything ever happened to you, I would never forgive myself.”
“I thought you didn’t love me anymore?”
“I lied. I love you more than anything. When I found out Dark Mayhem kidnapped you, I almost lost it. I thought I’d never see you again.”
His voice was slightly shaky and you swore you saw tears in his eyes, it made your heart ache. “R-Really?”
“Yes really, god I’m never letting you out of my sight again,” He said.
You laughed lightly at his joke, your own tears welling up in your eyes. “I love you too.”
He grinned widely before leaning in and placing his lips on yours, kissing you deeply. You kissed back, almost sighing in relief as you remembered how much you missed his lips. You never wanted to break away but right now wasn’t the time for that.
“C’mon, let’s get you out of here before Mayhem comes back,” He said after pulling away.
“Too late, I’m here,” You heard the deep evil voice of the most wanted villain coming from behind Max.
He turned around to see Dark Mayhem standing there, him and his sister already in fighting position. “Glad you two could could join us. We are gonna so much fun.” He said, laughing loudly.
“Phoebe, get her out of here. I’ll deal with him,” Max said.
Phoebe didn’t need to be told twice before she was at your side undoing your bindings. Max was quick to jump into action against Dark Mayhem, using his heat breathe against him. The man was quick to dodge, easily getting distracted by fighting Max, fighting with his own powers. How he got powers again were a mystery to all of you. Phoebe was quick to finish your bindings before helping you up to get you out of there.
“C’mon, lets get you out of here,” She said.
The two of you started moving out of the way but before you could even get a few feet away, a plasma ball was thrown your way. Phoebe barely got the two of you out of the way before looking over at Max and Dark Mayhem.
“Not so fast Thundergirl, you wouldn’t want to miss out on all the fun,” Mayhem said.
You were all confused by what he meant before he reached over and pulled a sheet off of something. Right in front of you was what looked like a bomb strapped to a metal barrel. They noticed how there were wires extending off and connecting to other barrels. It was counting down, only two minutes left on the clock.
“Phoebe, get her out of here now!” Max yelled out.
Phoebe gave a short nod of her head before gently pushing you foreword to get you moving again. But you didn’t budge, you weren’t going anywhere without Max. “No, no, I’m not going without him.”
“I’ll be right behind you, just go,” Max replied.
You didn’t want to leave but Phoebe was far stronger than you and easily led you out. Before you knew it, you found yourself outside of the abandoned warehouse. You started to panic at the idea of Max still being inside when there was a bomb ticking down.
“We have to go back, Max is still in there!” You cried out.
“Okay, okay. Calm down {Name}. I’m gonna go back inside and make sure Max’s is okay,” Phoebe told you. “I called my parents, Chloe should be teleporting them here any second to keep you safe. Okay?”
You could only nod at her words, and just seconds later her family showed up. She didn’t have time to explain anything before starting to run back inside. But she didn’t get far because no sooner did she try going back for him did the building exploded. You didn’t get a chance to react before you found yourself inside the Thunderman’s living room. It took you a while to register what happened before you started hyperventilating.
“No no no no, we have to go back! We have to go back. Max was still in there!” You exclaimed.
You tried walking to the front door but everything was spinning around you and your knees felt weak. They gave out before you and before you could collapse to the floor, someone caught you. Barb had you in her arms, trying to calm you down while you cried hysterically. You tuned out everything around you, still trying to wrap your head around everything that’s happened.
Phoebe conversed her dad, telling him she was gonna go back and check to the damage. To see if Max had escaped or if… he didn’t make it. She had Chloe teleport her back after telling them to watch over you. Barb sat you down, still holding and soothing you gently while you continued to cry on her shoulder. You tried to keep hope that he was alive but that such a big explosion, too big to think anyone could have survived. But if he didn’t survive that meant that neither could Dark Mayhem.
Maybe that’s what he wanted when he said he’d get revenge, he had to know the chances of survival. You just never thought he’d be crazy enough to do something like that just for the sake of revenge. It made your heart ache more and you couldn’t help but cry harder.
Phoebe and Chloe returned some time later, just the two of them. Both had sullen looks on their faces, Chloe looking like she was on the brink of crying. You felt your heart shatter completely and all your energy drain from your body. You broke down again, crying against Barb’s shoulder while she brought you close to her. They all shared a look on their faces, a knowing look about something they were hiding amongst themselves.
-
A few months passed by since everything happened and it felt like life stopped for you. Max was gone and a part of you had gone with him. Everything felt numb and you were just going through the motions of life. You stayed home mostly, not bothering to go out unless you absolutely had to. You attended classes but came home straight and holed yourself up in your room. You’d come down for food and water before going straight back.
Your parents frequently checked up on you as did Phoebe and her family but you just turned them away. You didn’t care about anything anymore, not after losing Max. You just wanted to be left in peace so you could wallow in your own misery.
You were home alone now, your parents out doing something, you didn’t pay much attention. You were up in your room, in bed, the covers drawn over your head. You weren’t crying, just kind of laying there, you had stopped crying weeks ago. The ringing of your doorbell brought you out of your almost comatose like state. But you didn’t make the effort to get out of your bed, it was probably Phoebe coming to check up on you. Eventually she’d get the message that you didn’t want to be bothered and leave you alone to try again the next day.
But it didn’t stop, whoever was standing outside your door was being persistent. You sighed heavily and pushed the covers off you before sitting up in bed. You slipped into your slippers before getting up to go answer the door. You flung it open once you got there, ready to tell the person on the other side to leave you alone. When your eyes met theirs, you let out a gasp, eyes widening as you saw who stood on the other side.
“Max.”

The Thundermans Return - Review
All right, as I already stated in Part 1, I really liked the movie. It was great how fast it got released, after they officially announced it back in 2023, less than a year later. I could even enjoy it with the mexican spanish dub (with the same voice actors and everything), as soon as it was available on Paramount+, which by the way was awesome.
However, I think they had a few problems to work with all these characters in the same story, and this is what I think...
The art of nerfing
From time to time, they seem to be forced to nerf their powers for the story to go on and putting about 15 characters with superpowers in a movie like this, quite frankly, is not an easy task. We would expect to see the twins stronger and experienced than ever and probably they are, but its more likely that they tried to balance things up.
I think this is like creating a Superman game, which by the way, is something people have been discussing for a while. You could try to make it perfectly accurate to how powerful he can get to be, which is practically a god, but this is just a lot to work with and that's why they need to nerf, either his superpowers or the city. Otherwise, the game would be boring.
All right, let's get to it. These are my thoughts...
Losing a lost battle
First of all, when the family go to stop Blue Flame, the Thundertwins didn't even use telekinesis against him. Only close range atacks like heat breath from a long distance, which has no sense. Especially for someone like Phoebe.
What about Max's gadgets? All we saw was the jetpack but none of his new inventions, maybe a repulsor gauntlet or something like that. I know the Thundermans were meant to fail on this save, but I just think it could've been better executed.
A lost opportunity
Also, when Max and Phoebe get caught by the V-Team, I would've liked to see an intense fight between them, maybe not as good as the one they have, later in the movie and then get defeated by a bad decision from one of the twins, for example.
Besides, they could've left a huge mess all around the headquarters, for President Kickbutt and her team to find and start to investigate the V-Team.
A missing fight
During the Thundermans house break in, again, it would have been cool to see a small fight before they show how Max and Phoebe were being tortured. Maybe even turning Dr. Colosso back into a human, to help them out or something.
The amount of destruction inside of the house with all those powers, would've been amazing. By the way, did you notice how Chloe walks out of the scene, right before the V-Team get in the house?
Prison break
Near the end of the movie, we learn that the V-Team had broken their parents out of prison, and again, a security camera shot of them taking a few guards down and breaking out of prison together, would've been enough for me.
We've only seen Metroburg Super Jail from the outside and the cells area, but that building looks massive. Also, did you see they forgot to add the Metrobug Superjail sign at the top of the building? This screenshot is from "Tunder In Paradise".
The band and the mothers hunter
Other things I would've liked to see, is Max and his band playing a song at Splatburger again and not only talking about rejoining the band. Maybe even having Gideon still dating Sarah, instead of trying to become the next Paul Finch, still obsessed with his friend's mother, I mean... come on dude, chill out! 🤣
Weird relationship
And of course, how could this be a Nickelodeon show/movie, without the mandatory awkward scene? Dr. Colosso, a grown ass man turned into a rabbit, had been using Max's old suit as a sooting blanket. It was funny though.
I think sometimes the writers jut forgot that Dr. Colosso was not a talking rabbit. Oh, and by the way... what happened to his son, Balfour? They didn't even mention him.
Interesting origin but bad executed
And last but not least important, I'd like to talk about the reason I said in Part 1, that the Power Plant was a terrible idea.
But don't get me wrong. The origin of superpowers was interesting, but if Hank and Barb had this source of powers at home all along, then why didn't they use the blue seeds to go stop Dark Mayhem after Max took their powers away with the power-sapping orb?
Obviously, this was years before the movie came out, but still, it kind of ruins the moment, now that I look back and know what was really there.
Budget and filming
Now, I don't know if the budget was pretty low for the movie to last only 1 hour and 10 minutes or if it was filmed in a short span, but maybe that's what happened, because I remember people saying the filming was over in less than a month, so that may be the reason we didn't get to see more cool stuff, but I don't know.
I'm just speculating.
Music
As for the music, I gotta say I really liked it, except for the V-Team's song. It was funny, but not my thing. The new version of the theme song played during the closing credits, was so cool and I don't know if you're gonna be with me on this, but the song we could hear during the final battle against Dark Mayhem, was great.
I even turned on the subtitles while writing this and look what it says in the background. Damn! I thought the movie was for kids 🤣
VFX
And finally the VFX. I did have in mind that the movie was family friendly, so the special effects we see during the entire movie, are practically an improved version of the ones we've previously seen on the TV Show, which is cool most of the time, but sometimes... it doesn't.
Thundercest
Did you really think I wasn't gonna talk about Thundercest here? Well, guess again. It would've been awesome to have another big hug between Max and Phoebe, just like the one we saw in "Thunder in Paradise", but we can't have everything, right?
It's weird, because Max and Phoebe share a lot of screen time together, but something feels different than the tv show vibes. Don't you think? Anyway, here's a couple pics of them together.
Errors
I wasn't sure if I should share these two errors I found while writing Part 1 and Part 2 because this is not a movie rant, but it's kind of funny now that I think about it. So here they are:
Did you notice how they changed She-Crab's claw from one arm to the other?
Or how Phoebe's footage was duplicated while blowing freeze breath at Dark Mayhem Jr.?
And as Forrest Gump would say: “That's all I have to say about that”.
Colosso, the skater
Oh, wait. I almost forgot... All of the promos and posters had a small picture of Dr. Colosso on a skateboard. Is a deleted scene or something? I guess we'll never know.
Look at that. I wanna see Dr. Colosso performing a few tricks on a skateboard.
#SpingarnCut
Ranking
All right, I rank this movie 8/10.
And this is it, guys. I hope I'm not forgetting something important. I've been writing Part 2 and this post for the last three days, so please tell me what you think about the movie, about my review and if you'd like to see more of The Thundermans soon.
How would you rank the movie?
Let me know all your comments.

Mr. Thunderman, Your Son is a Rocket Scientist, Part I (I.e. A Little Snippet But Improved)
[A/N: So I have decided to improve the little snippet I wrote a while ago and add more detail, more background info, and more description. I hope you like it!]
-0-
Original Snippet - Part II - Part III - Part IV
-0-
Max Thunderman was known as many things. Charming, cocky, confident, prideful, smart, intelligent, genius, etc... He's known as the type of person to strut around the place like a peacock as he showed off everything that he prided himself on. He can, and will, tell you that he owned the place if you dared to question him and that is when his cockiness and pride decide to make themselves known.
Max Thunderman was many things indeed. The one thing that he prided himself on the most though was, easily, being a genius.
That was a simple fact. It was not him being arrogant. It was not him being prideful. No, none of that.
It was a simple, cold, hard, fact. Although in Metroburg, people didn't really like to acknowledge that. After all, what makes a hero is their power(s) and the number of people they save or help on a regular basis. Not the number of mind-blowingly complex gadgets they make or the hours of meticulous, painstaking work that they put into making equipment that could potentially save human kind.
That's the reality of the hero system that Max learned. Nothing matters except the glory. Not the work, not the dedication, and most define not the drive. Just, the glory.
That reality, that fact, was one of the many reasons why Max decided to become a villain.
That, and Colosso's urgings were getting annoying.
Max's siblings were a different story entirely. They fit in (because they were a bunch of simple people) and they didn't need to worry a lot about things like timing the reaction of certain corrosive materials perfectly or wiring the insides of a rocket correctly. They were simple people with simple issues, like social status and the next movie viewing at the cinema.
What truly separated him and his siblings here in Hiddenville though, was their academic performances. Phoebe excelled academically (and was absolutely amazing with extracurriculars and bonus work) and so did Nora, while Billy was average at best. Max, however, never cared enough about school to legitimately try at anything he took.
Most people like to think he's simply lazy, and while yes, he was lazy (what teen isn't) to Max, school is mostly… a waste of time. After all, why bother learning all those skills if you're never going to use them later on in your life? It didn't make sense to just work and learn for over 18 years of your life only to never make use of the skills you acquire! Where was the practicality in that!?
So in the end, he never really tried at school. Not even when major science events took place (despite his mad love for everything science related), especially since, 'The nerds will be waaaay too excited and I have a reputation to uphold!', and so, it was with great surprise that Saturday found Max pacing frantically in his lair looking, for once, incredibly frazzled.
Max Thunderman was the embodiment of confidence and self-assurance, and he was almost never frazzled! Makes you wonder what happened to make him this, well, nervous.
"Geez kid, what's got your knickers in a twist?" Colosso asked quite irritably as Max mumbled under his something for the nth time since he woke up.
"It's just- Colosso, my school is hosting a science fair!" Max stressed as he ruffled his messy hair nervously. The boy was looking, in every sense of the word, sleepy. His hair was mussed up (with stray strands flying in every direction), his clothes were rumpled from sleep, and his face was very tired looking and almost… Wrinkly.
"So? You usually don't care enough about those!" Colosso exclaimed irritably as he shifted around his cramped cage.
Max rolled his eyes and, finally, stopped wearing a hole into his floor, "Did you seriously listen to nothing I told you yesterday?" The boy deadpanned.
Colosso's beady eyes found the ceiling, looking quite interested in the way the architecture looked. Hm, what a nice design indeed!
Max sighed heavily in resignation and dropped on his bed, looking incredibly stressed, "Colosso," He started slowly, "This year, Hiddenville High is hosting a nationwide science fair. Do you have any idea what that means?!" Max's voice was tinted with urgency as it went up a few octaves.
Colosso hm' ed slightly but, inevitably, shook his head. He would have shrugged, had he been able to, but with this body, he'll have to settle for more obvious gestures.
Max groaned in irritation and anxiety as he laid back on his bed, his feet dangling off the edge, "World-renowned scientists will be the judges Colosso- Really famous authorized scientists!" He stressed the last word as he ruffled his hair violently.
Colosso was silent for a moment and Max's anxiety skyrocketed. He knew he was a genius. He was. After all, no one could create as many gadgets he regularly did and most, if not all, worked. However, he found himself in doubt. Was he skilled enough to impress some of the best scientists the nation (and possibly the entire world-) has to offer? Did he possess enough knowledge to pull off a stunning invention by the time the science fair starts? Was he capable enough to finish an original (and quite possibly life changing) project by the time the fair rolled around? Is he-
"And who are all the… scientists attending this thing?" Colosso's (contemptful) voice broke Max from his anxiety-induced musings and he found himself struggling to remember the names of the people attending to no avail.
"I wasn't paying much attention," Max admitted quietly, "But I do know that Robert Lee is one of the judges."
"Ah," Colosso nodded in understanding, "Well then, it's no wonder you're stressed! You practically live and breathe that man's research papers!" The rabbit man exclaimed as he reclined further on his blanket.
Max rolled his eyes and rolled on his side to face Colosso, "With good reason too! That man is one of the best aerodynamic engineers NASA has to offer!" The boy retorted as some anxiety lifted from his chest.
"And you said he's going to be a judge in this science fair?"
"Yeah!"
"And how long do you have until then?"
Max bit his lip slightly and rolled on to his back to face the ceiling, thumbs twiddling in slight concern, "I dunno. Didn't focus much until Principle Bradford mentioned Robert Lee. I'll just have to ask Phoebe about it." He stated quietly looking a bit grave.
Colosso nodded slowly, "Alright then, and what will you do for that fair?" He asked curiously.
Max sighed tiredly, "I don't know. I have over a million ideas that I'm itching to plan out but none of them feel good enough-"
"I'm gonna stop you right there." Colosso interrupted with a stern tone.
Max blinked and tilted his head to look at his furry best friend, "Wha-"
"Max Thunderman, I'll come outright and tell you, you're a genius," Colosso stressed.
Max furrowed his brows in confusion, "Well, yeah. I already knew that-"
Colosso shook his head, interrupting him for the third time in a row, "You don't understand what I'm saying, Maxie. You know you're a genius, right?"
Max nodded, feeling dumb. What was Colosso playing at?
"Then what are you worried about? You designed over 20 rockets and over a hundred different gadgets on your own. I think you'll be fine." Colosso stated smugly, proud of his best friend's (and protege's) accomplishments.
Max blinked rapidly as he looked at his best friend. Honestly, that kind of belief-
"Thanks, man," Max choked out quietly (and gratefully).
Colosso puffed out his chest proudly, "Save that! You better start on your project soon. For all we know the fair might be this Monday!" The rabbit joked as Max, for the first time that morning, laughed.

Time to Strike
Family Danger fans know I love me a Thundermans/Team Danger dynamic, but this time, instead of it being a Danger team with Thundermans (I can’t BELIEVE they called their new team Danger Force, a year and a half after my Danger Force); this is a Thunderman team with Dangers. And where the Family Danger team was Danger Force, this one is the Strike Force. I know it’s generic, but I wanted to keep with Force mode for my brand. You don;t have to be an FD fan but SHOUT OUT TO MY FAMILY DANGER OGS!!! I know that Lamia and Noah been here that long. If you been here since FD and still reading reading at my Share-a-Lair, know that you a real one.

“I'll think of something.” She smiled all through Henry and Jasper's visit. She and Max of course erased all evidence of them ever speaking, but just knowing the brain power of her man and the fact that he was willing to try to see her? She couldn't help but to smile. Henry was suspicious of her sudden change in moods. Jasper was confused, but just happy to see his bestie seeming happy *enough.
And Max? Well… He had his own things happening, as well. Whenever he reentered the tavern, Zenovia quickly wondered where he had gone to. He brushed off the question and soon left for the night. She invited herself over, but he declined, excusing himself for not feeling very well. She looked suspicious, but accepted it eventually and let him go.
She had no idea that her cherub faced mad scientist was in the process of gathering everything that he could to arrange a massive superhero sting. Charlotte probably thought that when he told her that he would think of something, that meant that he would orchestrate some kind of scheme to get her to be able to visit or him to be able to come home… Well… He definitely had a scheme being produced.
The Russian public didn’t know that Dangerstrike wasn’t present and they were not as familiar with Thunderstrike as they were with him… But… Max was sure that he could get this current assignment wrapped up sooner, rather than later if he acted fairly quickly, and… that might mean having to handle it by himself.
He called Henry after he set everything up, to talk to him about it.
“Yo, yo, Borya, my Man! Kinda chillin with fam…” Henry answered, in character.
“Strike Team is set to attack,” Max said.
Henry cleared his throat and wondered, “How’s that now? I’m not there...”
“I just wanted to let you know.”
“Wait wait wait… By yourself? Are you insane?”
“Little bit. So… see you soon… hopefully.”
“Max…” Henry said, but Max hung up, If the call was intercepted or anything before he had a chance to do this, it could ruin everything. Henry shut his eyes and pressed his phone against his forehead, as he tried to gather his thoughts.
“What’s going on?” Charlotte wondered, worried, after having heard him say Max’s name, then look distressed AF.
“Max is moving forward with a strike without me,” he said.
“WHAT?” Jasper squealed.
“Why would he do something so dangerous?” Piper wondered. “Isn’t he up against like… supervillains right now?”
“Everybody just…” Henry still had his eyes shut and needed to think for a moment.
Charlotte whimpered, “He’s doing this for me.”
“Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” Henry hissed. Then he got up, “I’ve gotta get back there before he gets himself killed. Everybody that he could possibly strike against is dangerous. Like world domination level dangerous! And he plans a strike against them? WITHOUT ME??? What the heck could’ve happened between the last time I saw him and now for him to go on this… this suicide mission?” He was asking rhetorically.
“I sort of reached out to him and begged him to be able to see him soon…” Charlotte admitted, feeling super guilty and ashamed. Piper, Jasper and Henry stared at her. “I missed him and…”
“And you thought that seeing him in a casket was better than waiting a little bit until we had gotten the Russian crime syndicate handled?” Henry snapped.
“That’s not fair, Henry,” Jasper said, his voice soft, but stern.
“Jasper, you know what these people are capable of! Unlike Charlotte, you’v4 been around them and exposed to their depravity. Max doesn’t stand a chance on his own! And she basically SENT him to his doom.”
“Maybe you just don’t realize what Max is capable of!” Charlotte said, angrily. “If he’s doing something, he’s already thought out everything. There’s no way. There is no way that he would risk himself if he thought it was unlikely. He wouldn’t do that to me.”
“He’s stupid when it comes to you!’ Henry yelled. The two of them were arguing and coming towards each other, getting in each other's faces, Jasper attempted to hold them at bay while Piper ate and watched.
The argument traveled with them all the way back to the Hero League Headquarters. Piper came through the golden portal with them and said, “Whoa, that was pretty cool…” They scoffed and noticed that she was with them.
“And now look what you’ve done!” Henry fussed at Charlotte. “You’ve let Piper come along!”
“I’m the only one who was able to open the dang portal. YOU should’ve been the one to make sure that your sister didn’t come through…” There was a lot more fussing. Jasper had given up on making peace. “It’s like I have to do everything!”
“Sending Max to his death was doing enough, I think..”
“LOW! JUST LOW!!!” She shrieked, not wanting to say anything else to him at all or even LOOK at him, at this point. For the moment, she and Henry stopped arguing. Jasper directed Piper to where they would be able to wait, Charlotte and Henry continued towards the department that they would have to gain access to a portal to Russia.
That was really the only way that they could get there quickly enough. A jet would most likely be later than they needed, but approval might take just as long, so while Henry explained his emergency situation, she tried to work the system to see if she might be able to create one herself.
She could get in A LOT of trouble for it, but she was pretty sure that she figured out the proper coordinates and configurations for it… But, she also felt like she only had enough skill to get Henry through unnoticed, then MAYBE she might hang back and clear her tracks.
“Miss Page-” Charlotte yelped whenever she heard Super President Kickbutt say her name. The woman wore a stern look that reminded her of whenever her mom was disappointed. “Come with me, please.” As Charlotte followed, sad and scared, the woman quickly appeased her fears with, “You aren’t in trouble… yet. I actually could use your help with something.”
“MY help?” Charlotte repeated,
“You’re the young lady who keeps sending me her success updated resume to gain a place in crisis management, correct?”
“Yes,” Charlotte said, wondering if maybe they hadn’t caught her trying to hack their transport, or if she was about to have to work her way out of punishment for being detected. Either way, she couldn’t say no to whatever this was.
“As I believe you know, Max Thunderman has given us the go ahead to apprehend 13 high profile criminals he has connections to in Russia…”
“I may have heard something about it... okay, so wait… You know, so that means that he has backup available? So, I didn’t send him rushing into a loveblind suicide mission!”
She stopped walking to turn and look at Charlotte and give her an incredulous look. “Of course. Who do you think is running things around here?”
“In my defense, I worked for Captain Man, for many years…” Charlotte said.
The woman looked for a moment like she totally got it. She chuckled a little, turned sharply, smirked and waved a hand in her direction as she continued walking, “Come along.” President Kickbutt explained that she needed her to evaluate the scene and help the crisis team with tech backup, In the meantime, Henry would be debriefed and sent back to Russia, per his request.
Charlotte went into the crisis center and there were various techs, some speaking on lines, some indicating things on screens, and various other controlled chaos. The team she was introduced to was lead by a clairvoyant super who apparently knew that she would be there tonight and also had seen that Charlotte would be the person to make sure that this assignment went successfully. That was a lot of pressure, but she had to just pump herself up and go for it. She had an opportunity both to help Max and Henry AND prove herself worthy of a position in Metroburg, doing her dream job...
.
Borya had a full set of facial hair. Sometimes, Max would get stubble back home, but Charlotte’s responses would quickly let him know when it was time to shave. He hadn’t focused on it as much whenever they were preparing to leave and since they had been in Russia, he continued to let it grow, the hair up top, as well, and he was typically pretty hairy bodily. In other words, his alias was a hairy guy and generally in winter clothes, covering most of himself. Zenovia had seen some of him, but not so much that she could detect him in his super suit, especially with a freshly shaven face and a body virtually identical to his Borya body available.
A lifeless clone. He didn’t want to activate the thing, knowing that it would be destroyed, but he also needed to make it like Borya was gone, by the end of this, lest stragglers try to find him whenever he didn’t wind up locked up like the rest. The set up would involve him calling an emergency meeting to say that he believed that agents were on to him and he would need all of them to take their product (whatever he might be providing to each of them) and move it.
Now, one might think that they would send goons, and he was willing to risk that happening because he had surveillance on everyone in the secret lair anyway, BUT, most of them had very sensitive orders that they would most likely want to be certain to get themselves and in the event that they didn’t, or found it suspicious, well… Max had gotten word that Kickbutt pulled Charlotte into Headquarters to work out contingency details with the logistics team. He let out a sigh of relief whenever Simone told him. That was more of a relief than the fact that Henry was on his way back. “Dude, I could kiss you and kill you, then kiss your corpse for what you put me through!” He heard Henry say as soon as he came through the portal. They hugged and Max said, “I’m glad you could make it. I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t worked with my siblings in a long time.”
“They’re gonna be here?” Henry asked, “Even your sister?”
“My very unavailable sister will be here. They were able to provide backup faster than I could get you back here and I didn’t want to take you away from Charlotte over the holidays…”
“Okay, LISTEN. If we live past this mission, this ends, alright? I can handle big boy hero things and Charlotte can handle big girl solo things, if something too terrible happens. We’re the team, now, you and me. DangerStrike and ThunderStrike, the Strike Force, and it’s time to strike these bastards.” They got into their costumes and left the door open so that their guests could wander to Borya’s lab and find him dead.
The place was surrounded by Billy, Nora, and Chloe. Phoebe was on the roof with Simone. Billy and Chloe had to be ready to run or teleport after escaping criminals. Simone and Phoebe were ready to kick butt and make arrests. Henry and Max would have the hard job of striking their targets as they came in and trying to make sure that they didn’t get out or make things look too suspicious as to scare away any of the others.
A couple of them hadn’t shown up but sent goons in their place, in both cases, Max reluctantly had to send a younger sibling with Hero League backup to retrieve them. Last, but not least, Zenovia showed up. She looked like she immediately realized that things were off. Phoebe and Simone had ten criminals unconscious and bound in the jet, but the mansion looked disheveled and the sounds weren’t the same. She wanted to flee, but had to see about Borya. Was he okay? She found his body and rushed away, in anguish, but was cut off by ThunderStrike. They immediately engaged in fighting and she was still quite the opponent, but she noticed something… his movements - how familiar they were and she stared at him, seeing his eyes, but nothing else familiar. “You played me,” it was a statement. Not a question. She laughed. “We’ll find out who you really are, and everyone that you love…” He punched her unconscious and she fell and hit her head against the stone railing. She was bleeding.
“Were… you trying to kill her?” Henry asked.
“No! Of course not… But…” He checked her pulse. She was alive, but she had hit her head pretty hard. “Thundergirl and Kicker can get her taken care of. I’m going to rendezvous with Pop Out. You’re with Turbo Toes.” Henry nodded and they each rushed to their emergency vehicles.
Dangerstrike had motorcycle and Thunderstrike, a hoverboard that was akin to jet surfing.
“Dangerstrike, do you copy?” Henry heard Charlotte ask.
“Go for Danger!”
“I’m going to send you an alternate route to get to where Turbo is. You have a very small window and they are shutting down traffic surrounding their lair. You two are gonna have to grab or kill your target and jet set it straight to Thunderstrike and Pop.”
“Copy that, Pagemaster!”
“Don’t call me… Actually… I like that.”
“Yeah, that was good.”
“Hey, just in case, I’m sorr…”
“No. We’re gonna talk it out later. Love you. Byeeeeee.”
Charlotte took a deep breath and then said, “Thunderstrike, do you copy?”
His heart leaped around in his chest and he said, “Thunder, at the ready.”
“Good luck… I love you.” He heard a chorus of “Ooooooooooooo”s in the background.
“See you soon,” he said and rushed to Chloe’s aid with a newfound excitement.
.
Charlotte was waiting with Hank and Barb, Piper, Jasper, Ray, and Schwoz in headquarters. They could see Phoebe and Simone, carrying in several Russian baddies. Then Nora, Billy, Chloe… And at the rear, Henry and Max, holding themselves, and each other up, but walking and alive. She rushed out of the area and ran over to them with Jasper right behind her. The others were sensible enough to wait. Charlotte leapt onto Max and he caught her, though he groaned when he did, because he’d taken quite a few beatings, but he’d be damned if he was going to let her go anytime soon.
Jasper stared incredulously and shook his head, “No regards for his safety. Come on, let’s get you to medical, stat.” He helped Henry in the direction that he needed to go. Charlotte found the floor with her legs and cried against Max’s super suit, standing on her own again, but not letting him go.
“Rough night?” He asked.
“I thought something terrible would happen and that it would be my fault,” she admitted in a shaky voice.
He rubbed her back and kissed her forehead. “I told you that I would see you soon. Maybe you oughtta listen to me next time,” he said and when she looked up at him he winked at her. She told him to shut up, then pulled him to kiss her and he knew that she had to be going through something, because she never liked to do stuff like that in front of strangers, much less in this professional setting. “As much as I want to do this all night long, I really should probably see medical,” he said. She snapped to and quickly went along with him to do so.
The Russian assignment was finally one of stationary protection, now that they had gotten the big shots out of the way, there were a lot of petty criminals trying to take on roles much too big for them.
The next few years, with the Strike Force taking care of things, Max didn’t feel the need for any bright ideas to be undercover, although he was meeting a lot of his favorite Russian scientists and even working with some.
Charlotte’s performance in the crisis was noticed by not only the Hero League, but acknowledged by the FBI, CIA, and some other alphabets that she didn’t even know existed. Max told her to market herself as freelance, not to take up any type of residence in any of those organizations - that way she could work and travel on her own time (and visit him in Russia when she didn’t have assignments). And… it was working out. They were both very busy in their separate careers, but they weren’t too busy and he wasn’t too hidden that they couldn’t talk regularly and see each other for special occasions.
Piper and Jasper had signed up for superhero sessions whenever they were at Headquarters, because, what the heck? They worked with them for a while, anyways. Maybe they could bet some perks or something if they took some classes. Piper wound up getting assigned to Billy and Nora for training and shadowing, while Max recommended that Henry was ready to take Jasper under his wing. “Are you sure, Dude? You think that I’ve learned all that there is to learn from you? Because like…”
“If you compare me to Ray Manchester, I swear I’m going to freeze you,” Max said. Henry shut up. It was cold enough without all of that.
“So, are you like my super grandpa?” Jasper asked.
“Don’t freeze him!” Henry warned Max.
The three bickered a little bit, up until the point that the monitor sounded, “Incoming call from the future Mrs. Thunderman…” Max smirked and told the others, “I’m gonna take that in my chambers.”
“Tell Char we said hi!” Jasper cheered.
Max opened the video call to see her radiant face, beaming with a smile and her eyes twinkling. He wanted to always see her like that. And the next time he saw her in person, he was going to get down on one knee and ask her if he could have the pleasure of doing so.

Share a Lair 04 || Keep Char Distracted
Jasper and Henry were chatting about NYE plans whenever Max was TRYING to distract his mind from this past week’s thoughts of Charlotte and work on his latest invention. Sure - he selected to do so in the living room, and that was no place for science experiments… well… technically ANY place was a place for science experiments. But, he was still annoyed to hear their voices, despite the fact that he had not heard a single word that either of them were saying. Until one of them said, “What’ll we do about Charlotte?” He hated that just the mere mention of her name demanded his attention, but there he was, unintentionally eavesdropping.
“She probably won’t want to, anyway,” Henry said. “Not really her thang."
"Yeah, but… she’ll still wanna be included. What if she says YES, and we have to spend your first solo NYE hearing her talk about how bad every idea is! Henry… it’s a party BOAT! Drunk young people on a boat, in the middle of the water, specifically to avoid the police…”
“When you’re right, you’re right. Maybe we can get her a distraction?” Henry suggested. “Like, get somebody else to hang out with her for New Year’s Eve and let her be their party pooper!” And because they were sure he wasn’t listening at all, then he heard both of them cheer, “MAX!"
He looked up as they headed over and he sighed. "Max, buddy, we need a HUGE favor and I will repay you in - doing whatever you say about the lair for the entire month of January!” Henry offered. Fool. Max would’ve did this for free. But there was no need to make himself appear too available.
“Whatever it is, I’m not remotely interested,” Max lied. No other word for it. He just straight up lied about it right to those boys’ faces.
“Hear us out, first,” Jasper said.
“Sounded like you two wanna be alone for New Year’s Eve, so you want me to cart Charlotte around so you won’t have to man up and admit that you don’t want her around,” Max said.
“I know it might sound bad, but it’s just that this is going to be a potentially excellent night, and as much as we both love Charlotte, she’s not really one to overlook potential danger, not even at the expense of potential excellence!”
“And I’m not some scapegoat. Just tell her you want a nice evening with your boyfriend and be done with it.”
“My what?” Henry asked. Max walked away, with his experiment in hand, hiding a smirk. Henry gave chase, “Listen! Dude… I KNOW Char’s not fun and she’s kind of a super nerd and is pretty uptight.”
“You’re really selling her here, Hen,” Max said, deadpan.
“Two months!” Henry said. “January AND February.”
“You agree to make sure she’s not the one doing the chores in the community space and I’ll consider it,” Max said. Henry winced. Max shrugged and kept walking.
Jasper looked desperately at Henry, clasping his hands together, as though in prayer. “Fine! But, just so you know, she loves stuff like that. Cleaning up and being helpful and stuff. You’re taking away her potential joy by forcing my hand.”
“I’m sure,” Max said, rolling his eyes. “And just so you know… Charlotte’s not a nerd. You’re way more of a nerd than she is.” Max gave him a playful double slap on the cheek and Henry gasped at the suggestion.
“How do you figure?”
“I mean… Look at her and look at you,” Max said. Jasper looked like he was actually considering this. Max was the smartest man he had ever met, with the exception of Schwoz and to be honest, Jasper wasn’t actually smart enough to fully determine which of the two of them WAS the smarter man. Henry laughed uncomfortably and looked at Jasper, awaiting some type of backup in this conversation. Max expounded. “Okay, I get that she’s a straight A student, makes academic lists, spends her time working instead of having fun, BUT - she’s super hot, her hair is goals, has an amazing fashion sense, can skillfully do cool shit like beat everybody’s ass in video games and play musical instruments - SHE was in a band, Henry. Were YOU ever in a band?”
“What did you… have to like… write a report on her?” Henry asked, uncomfortably, laughing.
Jasper answered, “He WASN’T in a band! But I was!”
“JASPER is less of a nerd than you,” Max added, to twist the knife. He really didn’t like it whenever Henry said negative stuff about Charlotte. He actually agreed that Charlotte was a nerd… But, he also knew that he could make this argument in her favor, and just because she was a nerd didn’t mean that Henry had to keep repeating it out loud.
Henry gasped and Jasper nodded, very pleased, until Henry said, “Jasper had social media accounts for BUCKET collections AND a Bucketeer podcast!”
“Jasper ALSO had a podcast? Man, Henry, what do YOU bring to the cool kids’ table when you aren’t in uniform?”
“Wha… Well… I bring not being an uptight, straight A student or someone who wears belly shirts or collects buckets…”
“HEY!” Jasper said and folded his arms.
“What’s wrong with belly shirts?” Max asked.
“Yeah, what is?” Jasper insisted, now, clearly in Max’s corner. Truthfully, Max could wear a belly shirt. Lord knows he had the abs for them… But he never would, because once again, he agreed with Henry that they were pretty lame, but once again, he wasn’t gonna give Henry the satisfaction. This was a battle, of sorts. Over Charlotte’s honor and good name. Max didn’t care what the facts were, as long as he won it.
Henry shook his head. “I’m just… Jasper. Come on. You think I’M the nerdiest in our trio? It’s obviously Charlotte, and if it’s not… I mean… It CAN’T be ME. I’m Kid Danger, for crying out loud.”
Jasper rolled his eyes, looked at Max and Max knew this was about to be sweet satisfaction. “I once had a birthday party that every kid in Swellview showed up to because Captain Man stopped in. Henry had a party a few years later that Piper couldn’t convince her cool friends to show up at, because they knew that it was Henry’s, even with her public figure status and vouching for him.” Max laughed. Henry stammered. Jasper wasn’t done. “Henry had the same pick up line for years - never worked. Two of his girlfriends left him to go to a reality show, meanwhile, I had an obsessive girl who had to be pushed out of a window to stay away from me.”
“I understand that,” Max said. “Mine used to sleep outside of my house. Well, it’s clear to me who’s the nerdiest nerd of your circle.” Jasper looked worried for a moment, so Max reassured him, “It’s Henry, Dude.” Jasper fist pumped.
Henry and he began to argue about their accomplishments versus failures, “Captain Man only showed up because I got him to! Use your brain, Man.”
“I had my own hero day because I can be brave WITHOUT a sidekick suit. You’re unofficially the Playground Pooper!”
“You were the one that was ACTUALLY considered bizarre enough to BE the Playground Pooper!” Max smirked and continued on his way out of the room.
“Hey! You never said that you agreed to distract her!” Henry said.
Max turned around and smiled at him, “Oh, right. Yeah, you had me at “get somebody else to hang out with her for New Year’s Eve and let her be their party pooper.” It slowly dawned on Henry that Max had heard their entire conversation and played him for a fool. Why would someone do this? Like he could read his mind, Max said, “Charlotte deserves better friends.”
Jasper gasped. “I would fight a shark for Char! I just… don’t want her out there with us for New Year’s Eve.” Max rolled his eyes. “Is… Is Henry still the nerdiest, or was that ALL a game?”
“He definitely is. I mean, you strike me as a bisexual individual. Look at their curve records. Compare the quality of people that have turned him down or been interested in him verses hers.”
“What does THAT have to do with…”
“Hot people dig hot people,” Max said.
“Way more hot people have liked and been turned down by Charlotte!” Jasper said with realization.
“Joss Moss said that I was cute. That cancels out like… HALF of Charlotte’s list! Joss Moss is a wealthy socialite and the daughter of an infamous mob boss.” Henry fussed, flustered.
“I say that Charlotte’s cute,” Max said and folded his arms. “I’m a global superhero.”
“That wins,” Jasper whispered, very impressed with how hot Max was, especially right now, for some reason. Finally, Henry conceded and Max left the room. He really had to prep if he was gonna be hanging out with Charlotte tonight!
.
Charlotte came into the lair through the front entrance. Max had been a little less unbearable this week, so she decided to test it out and if she ran into a problem, she’d simply never come back to this house, ever again. She laughed. J/K, she thought. Her boys were here. Whenever she got inside, it was pretty quiet. She expected Henry and Jasper to be in the common area, but maybe they were in the tower. Ugh. Now, she’d have to walk to the tower…
“Hey!” Max cheered, suddenly and when she heard his voice, she turned to say it back, but she lost her ability to speak or move. He smiled brightly, with this look of accomplishment and while she realized that she probably had something to do with that; her body had nothing. “SO, long story short, you’re stuck with me tonight and Henry and Jasper are at the Man Cave getting ready to go to some kind of NYE thing.”
She scoffed, “WHAT? They let me drive all the way here and just stuck me with you???” It came out more harsh than she expected, and sounded like she was attacking him, when she meant for it to be directed at the boys. His smile was less confident, now and his eyebrows looked a little… bothered. “I mean… I’m sure that you have much better things to do than have to pretend to entertain me tonight.”
He perked up again and shrugged his shoulders, “I don’t have to pretend. You’ll be entertained. There’s a party in Metroburg or one in Hiddenville, Lady’s Choice.”
“Ummm… What are the pros and cons of each?” she asked. He hoped she’d loosen up before they hit any party.
“Pros are they’re parties. Cons are they’re not gonna abandon you to a guy that you barely know and hardly like?” He said, huffing a laugh.
“Hurtful,” she said.
“Well, we’re even, then.”
“Metroburg is full of open superpowers and probably has the greatest technology in daily life… But, I probably need to visit there on a day trip, not the night of a party, whenever people are going to be drinking. Drinking and DRIVING is bad enough. Drinking and suping?”
“OH MY GOD!” Max cried out to the sky, exasperated. “Let’s just go to Hiddenville! That’s where my friends will be, anyway.”
“Well… Why were you considering Metroburg, then?”
“Because that’s where the supes are and where I was born.”
“Well, do you want to go ahead and go there instead?” He was starting to see why her friends might want to ditch her on a party night. She was very preoccupied with making the right decision, when sometimes, all it took was just making ANY decision.
“Let’s go to Hiddenville,” he said, putting his foot down. She held up a finger and pulled out her party gumball dispenser. Was she supposed to have it? No. Did she deserve it, therefore take it? Well, she’d just pulled it out, so what does that tell you? She blew a bubble and transformed into a Black party dress, high heeled boots and a sparkly headband with the new year at the top of it. Even her flawless makeup had been designed into the gumball and she looked like… she was meant to be on his arm tonight. He was far more casual - in all black with a shirt, an over shirt, his jacket and a tight pair of pants with heavy boots. But… they matched… WELL! She held her hands out, a little bit self conscious and said, “This is fine for your party, right? I can’t tell if I’m overdressed or you just don’t give a shit, either way because any and everything looks good on you…” Her eyes widened at this unconscious admission.
“We look awesome,” he said, and pointed two fingers at the door to open it and used his other hand to make sure he was powering things down in the house.
