i've got to stop reading blog posts dissecting the causes of plane crashes but they're just so satisfying
#meticulously researched and cogently interpreted technical information that i only need to retain long enough to interpret the text#that im currently reading and can then let slip from my mind. w enough of a narrative and human element that it keeps my attention#and long enough that it feels like it takes meaningful time for me to read each one#absolutely everything i could want except that the subject matter is a list of all the different fuckups pilots and plane mechanics can hav#information which likely will not benefit me and my future emotional experiences.#box opener#now admittedly the ones before ~2006 are like ''and then a remarkably functional government agency made a series of strict recommend#ations based on the data‚ many of which were actually implemented‚ and no plane has ever crashed from wind-gusted elevators again''#which is. actually pretty reassuring. so maybe i just shouldn't read the recent ones about problems they havent fixed yet.
