sometimes u just gotta understand that ur babygirl isnt gonna be a good dad. sometimes...sometimes you gotta realize that you cannot shoehorn a character into the sterotypical heterosexual love arc without just completely butchering said character in the process, at which point i'd argue you're not really a fan of them as much as a fan of their aesthetics
