Mini comic about Four and Eight when they got home right after the first side order tower climb
Four was a extremely stressed out room hermit searching for a way to fix the black tentacles and found out about her new “side effects” the hard way

Before Jack came along, sunshine wasn’t quite alright…
(he definitely changed him for the better, just look at him :1 stinky doodoo head fr)
(((Ray-my stinky doodoo head insert-is actually certified crazy in this lmao)))
Also, sorry if the panels are confusing. I was straight up making it as I came up with the comic, so whoopsies. My bad :( (the next page is in traditional comic format, dw!)
Part 1 || Part 2 || Revelations
Other Versions Below! Just showcase funsies :)
Flat Colour Ver; - You can see Ray’s gradually fading hair dye now :D
Flat Colours + Screens/Effects; - Neato effect stuff I did with TVs, it was fun to mess around with colours and layers on Ibis lol
And finally a Transparent Ver cuz idk; - wahoo transparency or something 🎉
~~ Anyways ~~ that was actually really fun to make. I got to improve my comic skills (a bonus, always need that 😓), slap colours around (always fun), and got to improve my Jack design more! I basically figured out his face shape + facial features lol. POST NOTE: I FORGOR TO SHADE THE DESK NOOOOO whatever ig *:’(*
Tis merely Part 1 of a fun little series - ‘VHS Meetings - Sides’, where I’ll do more pages of this comic and maybe do one with Jill. Or something.
More art is on the way though! Doodles, full art, etc., is all on track and will be posted here as soon as I get done with it haha. (Hint for the (most likely) next art post: Perfect Human Specimen - Lynks, banger song and suure reminds me of someone….)

I could not get over the Swanatello AU today, I showed a friend of mine the comic and she said, “Is that a fem boy rat?” So… yeah that went well. I used this as an excuse to try out ibis paints animation feature, and I think it turned out okay!
I’ve always loved the concept of Donatello doing ballet, from what I hear softshells are meant to be flexible, so Donnie doing ballet just *clicked* with me- anyways, love the au, love the art, love animation.
Knowing me I probably messed up his character design somehow lol.
I’m going to link the comic here, you should really read it! :D

Art of Ash wearing some premier headphones :v
Yeah I know, I made him look like an angsty emo teen again. Want to know a fun fact? Those aren't even his headphones! They belong to some other character on the fic I'm working on, so his design here is also based on it (DW, I'm planning on making a reference sheet eventually). Here's a crappy comic I drew of him taking them from Pikachu because of some petty argument going on between two of the characters:
I tried to make it (not the comic, obviously) look a little gritty/grungey, like lost footage, not just because it looks cool, but also because that's the general feeling I get while writing the fic. That and Down In It by NIN was playing, and honestly that song reminds me of Ash's situation in the fic, and if you've seen the MV for it, you can tell that I was inspired by it (the backstory to the MV itself is pretty funny too, XD). I was also inspired by Tomorrow Comes Today by Gorillaz. I'm still expirimenting with digi art, but I do like the lineart process (though tedious when you're drawing with just your finger on a tiny phone screen), and I really enjoyed adding the background on there! It's a pic I took while visiting Chicagoland, here it is, unedited:
I don't live anywhere near an area like this, so (unfortunately) I doubt that I'll have hyperealistic backgrounds like this one again. Such a shame, I really like the style...
Anyways, here are some variations of the piece because I love messing around with Ibis's editing features:
^This one has the original colors that I was working with
^This one is mostly unedited (except for the background if you really want to count it...)
^Lineart! Yeah, I know, there's a small error near his eyebrows, but working with pretty dark colors, I hardly noticed it.
Okay, I'm going to log off for tonight, hope you enjoy!

mar art program reviews:
procreate: uncomfortable. i can definitely see the appeal behind an ipad's portability and it has some really nice brushes but i hate apple too much for it. AND THE FACT THAT IT HAS A LAYER LIMIT???? it's absolutely a deal breaker no way. ive also overheard something about it having infinite zoom in???? it can be useful but it won't give you a good estimate of how much stuff fits on an image???
photoshop: used it for years, sucks ass. you still have to pay separately for the stabilizer right ? cant believe it's still the industry standard for illustration
illustrator: vectors are So Useful. it's not a program you'd use to make painterly art, of course, but it's perfect for lineless Shaped artstyles (and in fact makes adding lines extremely easy if you feel like it). and of course since it's vectorial you won't ever have to worry about stuff getting blurry when you scale it
krita: ive been using it for animation stuff and it's pretty great! can't speak much for all of its functions but free, open-source programs always get extra points too <3 lovely project. my main complaint though is that the pen and eraser are pretty much the same tool, i wish you could map the brushes separately (if anyone knows how to im all ears)
medibang: used the mobile version for a while and i think ive had the desktop one at some point too. also a lovely free program that has some always appreciated tools for comics (like for drawing panels and, if i remember correctly, even manga screen tones too?). the mobile version is a bit lacking in comparison to the other well-known mobile drawing app, ibis, that i haven't tried but well ibis has a time-lapse function (always adds a lot of points) and its symmetry rulers are also easier to use (at least since i last tried medibang). i think medibang's stabilizer was better though
clip studio: despite its recent messes and everything i still think it's definitely the best program out there and ive been a csp advocate for a while. so many useful features, an active community making assets and tutorials for it that you can easily access within the program without having to dive online and it's actually rather cheap, even more so during its frequent sales. it's so good. it's not my main program, though, because i still haven't found brushes im comfortable with </3 the stabilizer is also a bit confusing to me. however i think the new paid update requires you to always have internet connection which is an instant no for me. who thought that was a good idea
paint tool sai: my best friend <3 though the 2 update was Great it's still lacking in Many aspects (please please just let me align text to the center ill die happy), but it has the best stabilizer out there and configuring brushes is pretty intuitive. it seriously lacks a lot of functions but it's still the program im most comfortable with
ms paint: people seriously make such cool stuff in there. there's also nostalgia factor, and it actually has screentones too! last time i tried them they were a bit wonky but interesting to use
ive tried procreate a couple of times before and its . such a weirdly unnatural feeling, it's like you're dragging a line rather than drawing it
#aaand i was going to review traditional art mediums too but it got late.#heres my insight that no one asked for though i might have forgotten things
