hello, friends ! i'm nicole and i'm on the hunt for some more roleplay partners (: i'm 22 and i live in eastern time zone! i'm a new mommy & also in school, and work part-time so i've been needing some kind of outlet. i've roleplayed for quite a long time! i used to roleplay on quotev *throwback* and by the time i missed it, it was gone. so i decided to move to tumblr! i'm fairly new to roleplaying here and learning different quirks so please bare with me!

i prefer finding my partners through tumblr to hopefully move to discord ! i'm learning more about servers, and making tupperbots with my roleplays so i enjoy that thoroughly!

i do prefer ocs rather than fandoms but depending on the fandom, we can talk more about it!

i try to write between semi-lit to novella, preferably around 3-4 paragraphs minimum per response but i am flexible ! i do try to be as descriptive as possible! i'm not a professional by any means and my brain is very pea-sized so i try my best! after all, this is for fun!

i am also a huge fan of rapid fire. i feel like it’s so easy to get the plot rolling when doing so.

01. please please PLEASEEE be 18+ ONLY. i'm 22, and i do like to do mature themes in my roleplay and i'm only comfortable doing that with someone above age.

02. i don't mind doubling up, or doing 1x1 ! i am comfortable with all gender pairings but if you're simply looking for a male muse to play against your female muse, i'm sorry :( i don't think i'm the person for you. i have no problem playing male muses! i enjoy them! but i also want to be apart of the roleplay and have both of us happy with the direction we're going.

03. i unfortunately currently only enjoy writing real-life roleplays! i'm not particularly interested in animes, though i can't speak for further down the road. of course, it doesn't have to be non-fiction! i enjoy supernatural and all other kind of elements!

04. for my roleplays, i love to plot, world-build and obsess about our characters! i do love some good mumus too! i also love to talk oorp as well but it is definitely not required. i don't mind if our characters interact, if we had more than one roleplay going or create an entire world around different characters all intertwined! i actually love doing that. i would prefer if my partner also loved to plot with me and wasn't afraid to bring their own ideas to the table! perhaps we could even become friends if that's something you'd enjoy, too! some things i love to incorporate in my roleplay is angst ! i think it makes it so much more interesting. of course, i do love some fluff too.

05. i do want this to be long term. i also understand that life can be a bitch sometimes, and things get in the way. i am so understanding so i won't pester you to respond to me if you don't for a couple of days. even if you simply don't feel like responding, that's okay! just let me know if you still want to roleplay with me if you haven't reached out for awhile, or i will. if your lack of responding is also because of the storyline, and you're getting bored, please please let me know!! i do not care if we switch to completely new characters and a storyline in the middle of our roleplay. like i said, this is for fun! this is for the both of us! i just ask for the same respect back and we communicate.

06. i love mature themes and nsfw !!! i would prefer if my partner did too. i live for some good old fashion smut! if something makes you uncomfortable or makes me uncomfortable, i’d like for us to discuss it. please do not hesitate to tell me your triggers as will i. for example, i'm not entirely comfortable roleplaying incest and definitely not comfortable with pedophilia. i know for some themes, like incest, it's granted like the game of thrones fandom. please just communicate with me and i will you.

07. i just ask that you please don't god-mod your character and if you want to, great! i just don't think we'll be a good match. i want our characters to have flaws, and be realistic.

I write in third person, past tense and anywhere from 1-4 paragraphs (~100-400 words). I work full-time during the week, so I can't guarantee daily replies. Starting Over

Waow, I sure have been absent a lot lately huh? More than usual, but also more fierce in trying to say "I'll be back" or not go on hiatus.

We've had a good run. Mario and I. Literally ten years. On and off yes but still, a full decade of me writing the guy and enjoying every second of it. I still say he's one of the muses that came most naturally to me.

It's been a while since I've had a full day of replying to things, getting asks out or musing ... and truthfully, I'm done. This time, I've come to realize that my muse is so far away that I don't see this being remedied. There will be no more coming back from the brink of hiatus hell, no more popping back in to revive the flame. It's over. My run with Mario is at it's end and it pains me to say that really. At least, portraying him. I'll always be a huge fan of his media.

That's the TLDR. If you'd like the rest of my thoughts they'll be below the cut so as to not clutter the dash. Mostly reminiscing and clarifying why I've come to this decision.

One thing about Mario is he's, in my opinion, timeless. Certain aspects of his media are products of their time but still the message, the overall goofiness, and the content within can be enjoyed when or wherever. I remember being a kid and my first foray into his world. It was magical. I fell in love with the simple mechanic of running and jumping to get where you needed mixed in with the other things that came about when the situation called for it. Then I discovered his other escapades into certain genres, chief of all being RPG's. Legend Of The Seven Stars, Paper Mario, and the M&L series. We all know how excellent these titles are for expanding on most corners of this universe with admittedly surface level characters.

But, that's what I think makes this particular franchise beautiful: simple motivations and character archetypes that cascade to make the plots of these games we all love. Mario is a hero. Wherever he can, he will help. The Mushroom Kingdom receives most of his attention naturally but he's not foreign to traveling, getting into a bind and helping people locally. We see parts of him peek out along all his adventures: he's brash, aggressive, passionate, and so many other shades of human.

This inspired me way back when to role-play him. Specifically however I was spurred to come here, tumblr, to be him by my Girlfriend. Usually I'd shrug off specific requests for characters as I have a need for things to flow naturally but I followed her request and never looked back. Ten years later, I'm still typing on this blue wall of a site.

The ups, downs, and all arounds of life have all taken me in various directions but I always would come back ready to be a goof again amongst like-minded people.

Not this time however.

There's just.... something in the air. I don't have the will to force out another reply or even crop another icon. I don't have it in me to muse over the games like I used to. And it's not to say I'm soured to the media. Quite the contrary actually. I bought Brothership day 1 and although I believe there's pacing issues (A la Dream Team) I'm hooked.

I don't feel at home anymore dwelling on this blog.

That's not anyone's fault. And that's okay really. We need to be able to look ourselves in the eye and say when things aren't working out. Being afraid of starting over has held me back in a lot of areas in life, specifically with interpersonal relationships. Not anymore.

I won't be starting again with Mario however. This chapter of my life has come to a close. I hold Mario and by extension my writing as him very close to my heart. Yet, I just don't have it in me anymore.

I'll be honest: I wish to bring joy to people with what I do. It's as much for me as it is you, the person reading this. I can't fake that. I have been for a bit actually. That's not okay.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm using Mario to fill a void in my life.

These kinds of thoughts don't "get to me" per se but why am I asking myself such questions? It all comes full circle to the simple act of logging on and writing for him. I can choose not to be here as I've unfortunately been doing. I can choose to step away and recuperate. What I can't choose however is where my heart lies.

So this is goodbye. Goodbye Mario and all the things I've conjured around him. We had a great run. The spirit of it will live on while I play his games and cheer him on.

This blog and it's predecessor represent an especially tender part of me. Both of them will stay up as a testament to that. I believe I've contacted most of the people I speak with regularly before making this public but if you have any questions OR want further clarification just reach out. I love you all. Being Mario has been a feeling I'll never be able to replicate or capture ever again and honestly? That's a good thing. These fond memories will live on and I can come back to look at them whenever.

there's no delicate way to say this but connor is kind of a slut... he flirts easily and openly with women... while he's attracted to men, he's very deep in the closet (blame toxic masculinity that's rampant in hockey culture) so the Situation has to be just right for him to do the same with men. that said, he'd hook up with half of this campus if you let him. situationships, fwbs, and flirtationships are all on the table, past or present. as for a committed relationship... well... we'd have to plot it out because i can't promise that he'd be totally faithful </3

I'm looking for the characters to be played canon accurately or fanon with some of them. If the character is played like the cc! or softened this won't work. A big point to dsmp is that none of the characters are good, and they're all victims (in their own way) at the same time.

Not my preference I'd like the main plot to be with canon characters but I'm open to the idea further down the line.

Litteracy?

I personally like semi-lit to fully literate. I don't mind shorter so long as it isn't one-liners. Of course, I don't mind longer either if you like novella-style roleplay. Overall I'll mirror whatever is sent and try to put effort into furthering the plot.
