Sixteen year old Lana Turner on the set of her first film, They Won't Forget (1937), based on a 1915 true story. Her character was only 13. Lana had her first Hollywood screen test on Feb 2, 1937, and by early March she was reporting for work at Warner Brothers. She was under a personal contract to Meryn LeRoy, who took her with him to MGM in 1939 where she became one of MGM's biggest stars of the 40s and 50s.
