Happy MerMay 2021! Today's theme is Sea of Love, and what better way of starting the month than with a bit of family love from King Triton and Queen Athena. So if you've been following me, you probably know I've been wistfully looking at everyone else do MerMay for the past couple of years and feeling super intimidated by everyone's talent. I'm not great with dioramas or photography so it's always a bit confronting trying to do the challenge. That mixed with the fact I didn't have much of a mermaid collection until last year, but I'm gonna try this year. Day 11 of #mermaydg2021 with "Hello Sailor!" Two of my water themed Allan custom dolls, my merman Allan that I used a push mold to make a clay head out from then proceeded to sculpt a fully jointed clay body for him. My other Allan is Sailor Allan, made from a resin cast of Allan that I gave facial hair to and covered him in sea related tattoos. Happy day 7 of MerMay with today's prompt from @thadollylama "Musical scales". A tiny bit typical using Ariel's sisters I know, but I really wanted a photograph of them for mermay since these are my favourite iterations of Ariel's sisters that aren't 1/6th scale. The shell is actually a cheap Halloween mermaid bra I picked up a few years ago that I disassembled and hotglued together.
