Day 27: Walrus

I think about my girls a lot. More often than not these days... They're both grown now, but I still get letters every month or so from the both of them... I can still remember when they were small, and I could hold them in my arms. Sometimes it's the most random things that set these feelings of longing off. Dr. Branston and I spotted a Tusked Rock Hopper, two actually. A mother and her pup. Branston asked me how my girls were doing recently and... I don't know. She at least was patient enough to simply hold me while we watched the pair for a while. They're doing well, I decided. But I also decided I very much need to see them in person again, sooner rather than later.

Looking over the Mermaid Boondocks? No problem! Here that I have Huey Freeman as a merboy who has the ability to concentrate the COLLAB with Halle Bailey's Ariel, but that's really not the case. So I've decided to draw him because of the Google Search, it gave me the idea to look over, but for some reason...I gotta tell a secret how it started for him.

Well, I never draw The Boondocks, so this is the first time trying, but first off, Huey Freeman, but he's a merboy!

For today’s prompt, I wanted to really focus on Halle Bailey herself, rather than just how she looks in the new Little Mermaid.

So, I modeled her mermaid after her look during the Grammy weekend. I liked the dress and I feel it fits so well as a mermaid covering!

Mermay Day 27: Hagfish

I think the darkness is getting to me. Luckily, next week will be my last down here. Meanwhile, week 6 has lead to... quite the mess. We were picking at some large carcass, trying to collect samples when everything just... stalled. None of the equipment was working, like there was a jam. We figured out what happened when... she swam by. I've dubbed it a Slicker Snake, and the crew started calling her Nadah. When this Merm feels threatened, they'll... well, they'll dump a bathtub worth of slime over the problem. That explained the jammed equipment, I think we poked her while we were examining the carcass and she panicked. Can't say I blame her. We might look as alien to her as she does to us.
