Dear Michael,

I'm sure you'll be asleep when I send this email. It's almost 5:30pm here in Ulsan and I've settled in pretty well. Did I ever tell you why I came over? My departure was sudden and I apologize. Didn't really get to tell you much, but my old stylist, who I also consider a dear friend, suddenly lost her mother. She's been deeply, deeply devastated and is having a hard time organizing everything, so she asked if I could come and help. She’s an only child without much family. It’s the least I could do for her. I held her in my arms the moment we saw each other and we had a long, long cry. Right by baggage claim. And, I hated it. I never want to see her break down like that ever again. She's taking a nap, now.

I'm just waiting for dinner to get done, so I’m writing to you. I'm making tom yum talay. You know, the soup with all the lemon grass and merkut lime leaves and shrimp and garlic. Peppers, too. That one. For some reason, I miss Los Santos. That's wild, isn't it? Foolishness! I'll be back in a few days, but I miss it there. When I came here and walked through the airport, I had people staring and whispering. Looks like I’m still the Nation’s Boyfriend after all this time and the scandal.

Anyway, it’s almost the holidays! What are we gonna do? I don’t really celebrate Christmas and stuff like that, but I think it’d be fun to decorate a tree. I’ve never done it before. Always wanted to climb a little ladder and put a star on top. Or, maybe an angel. One of those fancy angels with the wings covered in glitter. New Year’s Eve will be fun, too. How about we sit on my rooftop and watch fireworks. I’ll break out my dad’s wine. Straight from the vineyard. You know, the good stuff.

Haha, why am I even writing all of this to you? I guess I'm bored. It's quiet here. The television is off and the only thing I can hear is the bubbling from the pot and a neighbor's dog being excited over something. You should see the view, it's really nice. You know, you should travel with me, one day! I don’t like traveling alone, but I always do. I could show you one of my favorite vacation spots. Like Jeju, for example. Or, my grandparent’s strawberry farm in Chiang Mai. It’s really lovely there. Gubei Water Town, too. That’s also beautiful. Like a dream.
