I had fun too! I played with textures a lot here and tried doing a paper cutout style piece. I might do this again, since it was a delight working like this! There's also room for improvement so, I could practice a little further.

I love akuma-kun a lot, it has helped me get through August (thanks to Venezuela's current crisis) and it has motivated me to get creative! I owe this show and Shingo my mental wellbeing (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)♡

Akuma-kun 1989 pencil doodles dump

I've gotten into akuma-kun 1989 lately and, during these stressful times, it has been the thing that keeps me happy and distracted! Living under the conditions I'm in is hard, but I'm happy to have discovered this anime through coming back to gegege no kitaro and watching the akuma-kun ONA from last year. Either way, more doodles below! ♡

I love Shingo in particular, he's got my whole heart lololol the first 3 ones were doodles I drew by referencing some screenshots I took of the anime. He's round all over, it's lovely

I also doodled Mephisto a little bit, he's fun! I decided to put the frames I was referencing directly over the doodles because you guys need to see that JAJDJFNJGKG I'll try to doodle him more often, maybe I'll go ahead and doodle the other Akuma-kun!

Thinking about Secondo being lgbt+.

Growing up with a ghoul he secretly had a crush on but not being comfortable telling anyone.

Watching as he and the ghoul drifted apart and being powerless to stop it as his duties and responsibilities to the Ministry became too much and the ghoul moved on to typical ghoul work.

His heart breaking in silence because Nihil selected a Sister of Sin to be his prime mover. She’s lovely of course, but she isn’t who he wants. Isn’t who he loves.

He never gets to truly tell that ghoul how he feels. It was never the right time.

And then he was killed.
