Do I have before pictures? Nope. I have a, "Oh oops I don't have any before of this do I?"
I went ahead and asked if the guy I got these from still has the repaired jeans. He said he's pretty sure he doesn't, but he'll look in his storage some time.

He told me if he'd realized back then how much I could patch up something, then he'd have asked me to fix them instead. I told him, playfully, that I was glad because it has lasted a long time as a bag. We did some back and forth nonsense before I sat down to do this yellow section.

It's doing that thing my handwriting does on unlined paper. Slowly and casually curving the longer it goes on.

But from even a little distance? It's perfect!

hey visible mending friends, i need some help!
my partner accidentally got the bottom of their favorite shirt snagged in an escalator last month at a con we were at. i am very very new to visible mending but i want to fix this shirt for them if i can. i’ve seen a lot of tutorials for darning or patching a hole in the middle of a piece of fabric but i’m not sure how to approach a rip at the edge like this.
i’ve already bought some nice blue thread that i think will match nicely. i’m not looking for something that will be invisible, but just a simple, beginner-friendly method to mend this that will look decent
if anyone has tips or suggestions (or better yet a link to a tutorial! 🙏🏻), i would be so grateful!

Hello crocheters and menders of Tumblr !
I'm looking for resources on how to mend crochet pieces, of all types, but especially granny squares at the moment. Do you have any recommendations ?
thank u in advance

FUCK I accidentally got the wrong kind of thread. Anyone know if you can use button&craft thread to hem a dress? Sewing machine capabilities aren’t an issue, I’m doing this entirely by hand

Hey fabricblr or mendblr or diyblr or whatever: is there any way to fix this? Should I just add corduroy patches like on the elbows of a tweed jacket?
