Need for Speed! After trying for a week to click this kinda picture, I finally got success. Read more to find out how I did it I'm learning photography. Few weeks ago I got to know how one can get that smooth motion blur in their pictures. On paper it seem so easy. You just have to decrease the shutter speed, plus you just have to move the camera keeping the subject in focus and voila you got that motion blur. Simple right? Wrong! When you decrease the shutter speed you've got to keep your hands stable. Or your picture will be completely blurred. See, the lesser you keep the shutter speed, the more will be the motion blur and the more would be the chance to get completely blurred image. So question is, if decreasing shutter speed results in completely blurred image but increasing shutter speed will result in zero motion blur. Then what to do? Here are my leanings: 1. Do not use live view mode. Use view finder this way you'll achieve focus faster. 2. If you have great camera that has so many AF points cool! But you got an entry level camera like me. I'd say select one autofucus point (center one preferred). 3. Keep shutter speed at least 1/100 or less. Here in this picture I kept it 1/100. 4.Lastly, try again and again and again. It's almost impossible to get a sharp shot in just one attempt that's why practice. I'd suggest first go through some YouTube videos about getting motion blur in pictures. The loco named after रानी अहिल्याबाई । There was train which got very famous in a very short period of time. It was 'Suhaildev Express' which runs between Delhi's Anand Vihar - Ghazipur City. The train used to be haul by two WDP 4D locomotives and that too with special livery. And one of them was this locomotive 40020 Rani Ahilyabai WDP 4D from TKD D.L.S. Now that train has an electric link the 4D pair used to haul that train now can be seen hauling other trains these days. When we arrived at this scenic station of Karmali, we were welcomed with 99.99% Green. It's just 0.0001% Red, that didn't allow us to move any further. Because a DEMU train was seem to be coming too #swipeleft⬅️ Not to forget the route of our #KonkanRailway is single line🛤️ And that's how trains meet each other here. Meaning one train has to be looped in station. Gentleman, meet 'Pushpak' The Toaster Locomotive 🚂 #swipeleft⬅️ and click more to know to find out story behind this name This is WDP 3A, the elder brother of WDP 4D which belongs to Alco family. This is the fastest among all the Alcos and yet it's not used much by Railways. They one used to haul the first ever Tejas Express and Trivandrum Rajdhani but now they are almost extinct. Coming to the point, why they are called toaster. Because after working for few hours the cab of this locomotive gets heated too much, it becomes difficult for the Loco-pilots to work. Especially in summers, because the almost get toasted inside the cab. And this the reason they were discontinued and it is very very rare to see them. Pushpak, The 'Toaster' Locomotive #swipeleft⬅️ and click more to find out why __ Alcos are one of the type of Diesel Locomotives Indian Railways use. And this is WDP 3A part of Alco family. And is the fastest of them all and once used to pull the first ever Tejas Express. Coming to the point why is it called as 'Toaster'. This is because the radiator of this loco is so close to the driver's cab. Resulting the cab used get heated too much. And the Drivers, the Loco-pilots used to get toasted. Resulting this loco was discontinued. And it is very very rare to still see them roaring on main lines.
