Just watched “magnetic rose” from Memories (1995) and I’m going absolutely fangirl feral. Also ngl I would not survive this horror movie scenario me and Miguel are falling for the ghost ladies tricks hook line and sinker RIP.

Watched Memories (1995) today and it was a super good watch. It's a three-part anthology, with the first being my favorite of the three. Highly recommend giving it a watch. It's free on Amazon Prime (with a sub.)

As a side note, I really miss the older animation style. Prime Video has an absolute gold mine of older anime movies and shows, so I'll be checking out some more soon to scratch that itch. They also have a lot of older content with live actors, so definitely check out their catalogue if you're into that sort of thing.

If you'd like to recommend me anything to watch, please go ahead! I love film and tv and enjoy most of what gets thrown my way.

Just watched the first movie for Memories (1995) titled Magnetic Rose and it was so damn good… my brother and I were gonna watch the second movie about a guy who accidentally becomes a stinkbomb so stanky that the military tries to kill him but we’ll watch that one tomorrow

Last night I was watching the interviews with the directors of the Memories anime from before the movie came out, and when they showed Katsuhiro Otomo’s workspace I noticed he had Inside Out with Gadget on his bookshelf!

The book would have just come out while Otomo and the rest were still working on the movie. I’m not surprised at all he would’ve bought it, what with all the cool sci-fi machines and retrofuture architecture. I wonder if he played the games, too… Unfortunately, I didn’t recognize any of the other books they showed.

Here is the building that is the Lord Byron English School (№20) on Margaret Thatcher Street, in Gyumri, Armenia. It was my first teaching job. I took it because there was a bust of Byron out front. It was a gift from England after the 1988 earthquake destroyed the city. Byron loved the Armenian language, which he called, "the only language worthy to speak to God with." My students had no idea who Byron was and assumed he must be a wealthy patron in London. "If you see Mr. Byron," one of my students told me, "tell him he is a very nice man." I agreed that if I should run into Byron I would tell him.

Okay, I found this while scavenging for a specific panel, and I chuckled a little at Carol and Barts shock

He has a southern accent (mainly), probably a squeaky voice, and a little muscle but not super buff

They’re actually just taught that heroes/people they look up to should have these traits, so their mind has tweaked their memories so it makes more sense to them… okay this is kinda sad wait-
