神奈川県には護国神社がないのだが、それは完成間近にアメリカ軍による横浜大空襲によって焼失してしまったからだ。その後まもなくして終戦を迎えたため、再建されることもなかった。 その代わりに同地に建っているのが、この横浜市戦没者慰霊塔。塔に刻まれた昭和二十年から、今年で72年。 Kanagawa Prefecture does not have a Gokoku-Jinja shrine (A shrine honoring the spirits of the war dead.) because it was destroyed by Great Yokohama Air Raids by the U.S. Armed Forces near completion. After that, it came to the end of the war soon, so it was never rebuilt. Instead, it is this Yokohama City War dead memorial tower that is built in the same place. Attempt 2: Field Trip - War Memorial Tower (with Canon EOS 1100D)

Similar to the first attempt with the Nikkon Camera, this exercise was not successful when I took photos of the tower. Instead I used the stair-rail at the museum front steps to get used to the manual focusing of my camera:

This was to practice zooming and focusing because I noticed that I had quite a lot of blurry photos when I did this field trip exercise with the Nikkon camera.

3. Aperture

I took two photos with the highest aperture my camera has to offer (f22), with and without shutter speed and ISO adjusted to the Aperture. This was helpful to understand how to prioritise one setting and adjust the others, so that the photo is not over or underexposed.

4. Shutter Speed

Photo 1: This photo was taken with a shutter speed over 1/1000. It looks like the ball was not moving at all, even though it was rolling in front of the lens at a moderate speed.

Photo 2: The Shutter speed was under 1/100. I was holding the camera still, while I took the picture 

Photo 3: The Shutter speed was the same like in photo 2. This time I moved the camera in a "slide move"  to the left, while the ball was rolling to the right.

With an ISO setting of 6400 I could not even adjust the shutter speed properly, which is why it looks slightly overexposed.
