I'm not sure she ever portrays cultural imperialism as good, but she definitely never really portrays it as bad? Like, there's a real sense that Teixicalaanli oppression of native cultures tops out as being analogous to, like, 'local cinemas playing marvel movies with better special effects and higher budgets than anything your local movie industry can afford, so it ends up withering while everyone watches American moves instead'.

Which is, in the annals of cultural imperialism, pretty fucking weak tea. No Teixicalaanli Sun Priests going around and burning every work in the Lseli alphabet they can find, that's for sure.

Prompt 18: What catches your eye about the architecture of a building?

How tall, the shape, the modernization about it, choice of color. It’s the beauty of witnessing how modern architecture has a lot of curves, twists, and turns, it’s catching to the eye. Like it wants to be recognized by people, with old buildings it’s like it tells people “I’m still here”. It tells the story of many and holds a lot of memory and history. How it can still stand. Between old and modern architecture, one will have more to tell and one will show more beauty.

Hello my lovelies, I hope you are all having a gorgeous Sunday. Apologies I have not been posting much of me over the past couple of weeks but work has been madly busy. Anyway I thought I would share these from this morning when I was testing out some heels, hose and skirt combinations for the week ahead. The skirt is new and is mid thigh length with a front zipper for something different. The hose are MeMoi Matte Taupe 60!deniers which I adore and the blouse you may have seen before in my earlier posts and is one of my go to's! I tried about 10 pairs of shoes with this outfit and these are my shortlist of 4! Firstly white cutaway's with a nice block heel, secondly a traditional mid height white pump, thirdly patent nude stilletos with a delightful chain and lastly some white kitten heel patent slingbacks with a tan toe. I really love all of them, but they are all quite different. At the moment I am thinking the nude stilletos.....let me know what you think. Have a super Sunday darlings and hope you enjoy.
