❝ face? what face? ❞ confused, buffy reached up to her face, touching it as if that somehow could give her a clue about what he meant. of course she wasn't aware of any faces that she was making. she let out a nervous laugh, lowering her hands as she looked up at him. ❝ oh, you mean... right, i was... ❞ oh, crap. there was no denying it at this point, was there? and then there was the fact they had just kicked the crap out of a bunch of vampires... she and sam had decimated an entire nest, just the two of them. the adrenaline was still pumping in her system. she was the slayer, so this was her life since she was sixteen years old. but sam was just human, so it was extra impressive, everything he could do. ❝ well, fighting makes me horny, what can i say? it was just a little... flirting, sam. don't think about it too hard, ❞ she gave his chest a playful little pat, walking towards one of the bodies to retrieve her weapon from its head.

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER?:

My OTP for Ric is Dalaric (hi @damonstevedore ) -- canon, fic, rp. I have been writing and adoring Saltzhane (Ric and Faith from Buffy (hi @thatslayer ) and Ric and Sam (with @thexboyxking -- we have a first kiss on the way and we win at slow burn) for a really long time and adore them. 

Lately my most active ship, and one of those fantastically unexpected crossover OTPs that comes out of NOWHERE is Bellamy Blake (the 100) and Ric, mainly in this AU I’m stupidly overinvested in with @thestrayco . It went from a ‘what if’ ship to us seeing a so-so movie with awesome bones that inspired a glorious AU we’re both utterly stupid over now. We are so lame and besotted and I’m living for it.

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO WRITE WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?

Nothing abusive or toxic. And I don’t do relationship drama for the sake of it; I like couples coming together to fight the external crap. I will not ship Ric (who is now almost fifty) with his students (including Hope -- yes, I’ve been asked, and no, I will never ever change my mind). Mostly it’s all about chemistry between muses and muns but there are a couple of lines I just won’t cross.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

Ric won’t date teenagers (casual reminder he’s canonically pushing 50) but I ship him with vampires who are way older than him. Again: not ever gonna write a ship with Hope, and I am so uncomfortable with being asked that I will instablock.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

Yep, absolutely.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

When kisses are no longer chaste, or when clothes are coming off.

WHO ARE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH

I have amazing ships with @meredithcheats , @ask-alicelockwood , ... I’m awful, I know there are others including some low-key flirting and ships that may or may not get there. In canon I ship Ric and Jo really hard but I’ve never written it. I’ve for sure got stuff that is not technically finished but where the thread has gone silent and I don’t consider them gone, by any means!

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?:

Not so much about asking? If we talk and it seems like a possibility then we can discuss it, for sure, but if someone I don’t know comes by like ‘hey ship with me’ I am probably gonna turtle away super fast.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP?

I love ships. I might be a horrible cynic in meatspace but I am at heart a romance writer. But I don’t love writing ships with people who are less invested than I am. I love my ships. But if you’re not feeling it, I’ll know, and I won’t really be feeling it either.
