Marvelous Mermay: Nebula

This is actually an oldie I did for "Endgame," but never posted. I thought of re-doing mer-Nebula, but I have no new ideas, and life is short.

Mermaid- Merman number 21, the all mighty yet a little clumsy Storm the Albatross- featuring my OC/ A love interest I created (back in my teens) for him Tulip Harz Roller..

For Storm's design, I went based off of an old Gijinka design of mine I wanted to revamp- I gave him long braided hair with small beads at the ends of them- I dunno but I just felt like that would be something he'd have. I also made him quite beastly and hairy- again being in a human/gijinka form I don't seem him as hairless and he is a man so body hair doesn't hurt its just apart of life. On his one shoulder he has this random but adorable little bird with a heart above it tattoo- maybe he just wanted a cute little tattoo on his one shoulder.

likewise to jet's tail, I gave Storm's contrast by using yellow- similar to some of his acceSsories in his Mobian form.

But, yeah in this piece he's just flexing and showing off a little- a Thankyou / him showing off as a thank you to Tulip (My girl) who patched up the little boo boo on his head.

Mermay 2023 - Day Eleven - Villain

The problem I had with "villain" for a prompt was it was too vague. According to folklore, nearly all mermaids are villains, at least in the way humans would be in the eyes of a pig or cattle. That's how I've been doing my mermaids from Herschel Cove. Even the nice ones are all about the shipwrecks.

Of course, some of them enjoy them more than others.

Cleo, my most traditional, and technically evil, mermaid, was my first choice for this picture. Here she is doing a classical villain pose.

While this is a very simple composition, I think it's my best Mermay picture this year so far.
