i havent seen mem cakes made for cohozuna, horrorboros, or megalodontia so i tried to give my hand at it. the poems stumped me a bit

Do you have any thoughts on the Steelhead mem cake (esp. the Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Japanese versions)? I just think it's odd. Are the translations wonky? Did Agent 8 even actually come into contact with the Salmonids? I know about the trade between Salmonids and Octarians, but I'd like your opinion on this one.

I can't think of mem cakes that ive seen that are particularly "wonky" in terms of translation. translating poetry from one language into another poem with a consistent rhyming scheme while also keeping the main ideas of the original poem sounds INSANELY hard so giving credit where it's due. there's differences naturally, but generally a similar idea is conveyed.

All the mem cakes for steelhead are about love. here's a more direct TL of the japanese mem cake 「キミが好き」　そんなシャケ氏に　だまされて 生み落とされたる　愛のバクダン Such a Salmonid tricked me with an "I love you" and brought forth a bomb* of love

*double meaning? Steelheads are just called "bomb" in jp

Not all of 8's mem cake poems came from personal experience, as some are just based on knowledge 8 gained from reading about the surface in magazines like HaikaraWalker (the in universe version). Did 8 read about salmonids? Or did they meet Salmonids in a way connected to the trade agreement between the species? I think it's open to interpretation

Lloyd has traversed the multiverse and arrived in enamel pin form. He's made using a different technique, so there are more details, and he's got a nice smooth finish. 2.5 Inches, double posted for security.
