Hoje não é noite de lua cheia, mas como nós estamos precisando de alguns lobisomens na nossa cidade, aqui vai a nossa terceira edição de ideias para personagens, agora voltadas para os licantropos em alcateias e solitários.

EICHEN PACK:

Aquele lobisomem que age como uma mãezona do grupo. Quando eles têm uma atitude errada, puxa a orelha dos lobinhos e xinga até a última geração deles. Mas quando é alguém de fora que está falando besteira da sua alcateia, pula em cima porque só pode falar mal da Eichen Pack quem está do lado de dentro.

Alguém que está tendo dificuldades para se transformar. Na sua primeira lua cheia, acabou se soltando e atacando alguém na cidade, ou até um outro lobo do grupo, se acalmando só depois de ser contido pelos membros. Desde então, consegue se transformar apenas parcialmente, se cobrando o tempo inteiro.

Um lobisomem que sempre teve uma ligação diferente com os animais, sendo assim, começou a trabalhar no abrigo usando o seu poder de absorção de dor no tratamento dos bichinhos. Pense um pouco no Scott Mccall.

Você pode ter um lobisomem que não é necessariamente o alfa da alcateia, mas é visto como alguém bastante acolhedor, especialmente para os novos lobisomens que chegam na cidade sem ideia de onde estão se metendo. Tenta oferecer conselhos e colocar a cabeça dos outros no lugar.

LOBOS SOLITÁRIOS:

Um lobisomem que foi expulso de uma alcateia por dar informações para a outra. No fim das contas, ficou sem lado, tendo que se virar sozinho. Ele pode ser uma espécie de “mercenário”, fazendo trabalhos sujos para outra espécie e até mesmo se colocando contra os lobisomens como vingança por ser rejeitado por ambos.

Alguém que acabou de chegar na cidade, mas como sempre se virou sozinho, decidiu que não iria fazer parte da Alder.

Seen several people pairing Melissa Benoist's new character Sadie "the hopeful/true believer reporter" McCarthy from The Girls on the Bus with Katie Mcgrath's Secret Bridesmaid's Business character Saskia...but I would like to make the argument that Sadie would be better paired with Jodi Rutherford. Kind of like Sadie, Jodi has this hopeful vision of her chosen profession and proves she's willing to go above and beyond to prove she is capable to the men she works for. Also, Jodi is very sweet. And I think Sadie needs someone completely separate from the cutthroat world of the politics beat to root for her and pack her some cheeseburgers fir the bus trip.

Oooh gosh. This is a tough one. I've only watched Episode 1 of the series, but from what I can see, I dunno if Sadie would be compatible with Jodi, personally. I know Jodi *could* be described as driven, considering that she goes to South Africa to get a role, but it's a different kind of drive from Saskia. And I think Saskia's drive might be more of Sadie's vibe. Jodi might also not be cynical enough? A little too sweet. Whereas Saskia would definitely give as good as she gets, if Sadie starts trying to give her the runaround or stop fulfilling her commitments to Saskia.

That said, I dunno if Saskia is the right fit either. Personally, I'd rather just create an OC for KMG within the world of Girls on the Bus. Maybe a photographer? Maybe a presidential candidate Sadie *actually* falls for? In episode 1 Sadie does that wonderful article on her fave candidate, and I could easily see that being written about KMG's character.

I asked AI to write a Supergirl movie

Artificial Intelligence has been getting a lot attention recently, with the release to the public of a number of tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Google Bard. I decided to task the latter of these with the job of providing a plot outline for a new Supergirl movie.

The results were... interesting...

Here's what I asked...

Act I

Kara Zor-El is a Kryptonian teenager who lives on the planet Argo City, which was saved from Krypton's destruction by her parents, Zor-El and Alura.

One day, Kara accidentally damages Argo City's power source, the Omegahedron.

The Omegahedron is blown into space, and Kara follows it to Earth.

Kara is hailed as a hero, and she continues to use her powers to help people.

Kara also learns to embrace her Kryptonian heritage, and she becomes a proud member of the Justice League.

So it's obvious that the AI hasn't quite grasped the notion of Kryptionians only having powers when in the Earth's yellow sun, but I guess we could forgive it this error given that Siegel and Shuster's 1938 Superman origin tale originally envisioned Krypton as a planet full of super-people. It also doesn't seem to recognise Argo City as just a city, despite its name being a massive clue. But aside from these minor factual errors, what about the plot itself?

What is interesting is that the AI seems to have established its version of Supergirl by blending elements of both the Helen Slater movie and the Melissa Benoist tv show. Kara is both a student and a journalist, who is hesitant to reveal her powers at first but eventually goes on a hero's quest to recover the Omegahedron. It all sounds very familiar.

The AI seems to have given a nod towards modern DC Extended Universe movies by mentioning crossovers with the other DC characters, and having Kara join the Justice League. But the overall plot seems somewhat confused and congested. Numerous guest heroes, three major villains, plus the hero's quest to recover the Omegahedron from some mysterious 'being' -- that's a lot of plot to pack into a debut movie.

I'm as much in awe of the modern advances in artificial intelligence as the next person, but hopefully any upcoming Supergirl movie will show more imagination than the mishmash of ideas and styles documented above. But hey, at least it was fun seeing what an AI would come up with!
