Hi @k4ndall, I’m aware this isn’t the first time you posted about me “stealing from Jessica” and because I no longer consider myself to be an active roleplayer, I thought I would confront this narrative head-on. Yes, I did use Marisa Abela for my OC Rosaria and no, that is not theft. Marisa is not from a super rare or old show. Industry was streaming on HBOMax the same time that Euphoria was.

Did you ever think that maybe I saw the program, considered using that FC for a new OC, but hesitated from bringing them to the roleplay community? Furthermore, Marisa is not the only FC you use for Jessica. If I recall right, when we were mutuals you used…

And let me be frank when I say none of these women look like the same person. Which is why I felt that using Marisa would ultimately NOT diminish your portrayal of Jessica.

I largely wanted to use Marisa Abela because Rosaria Scozzari is the sister to Salvatore Scozzari, since their FCs looked alike through their similar eyes and noses. I was already using him for Sal at the time of my “theft.”

Now, FCs aside, your belief that I copied you is honestly a shallow, surface-level examination of Rosaria Scozzari. Let’s go over the similarities of Rosaria and Jessica.

They both have office jobs. 

I’m inclined to portray Rosaria doing more average/low-paying office work. In the recent writing I’ve been doing, I depict her as a secretary. In the RPC, I depicted her as working at a bratva-owned insurance company that isn’t glamorous at all. But, this work is ultimately temporary for Rosaria, as she becomes a lawyer by the time she’s in her forties. In contrast, Jessica works on Wall Street which frankly, seems significantly better and higher paying.

They’re both Italian-American.

Jessica is a quiet girl who lives at home with her conservative family. Rosaria is extroverted, neurotic, and lives alone because she doesn’t want to live with her rambunctious family. Jessica is the older sister to her younger brother. Rosaria is the younger sister to Salvatore and Sonia.  Since leaving the RPC I’ve been exploring the paternal side of Sal and Rosaria’s family, which is composed of Italian-Brazilians. Which is interesting because I heard you had a OC who was Italian with roots from Argentine…

You act as though I stole the fundamental family headcanons of Jessica. Which I would consider the headcanons about the family-run candy store, the abundance of cousins, the cousin in an abusive relationship, or an office romance.

But let me say another thing: your depiction of Jessica on Wall Street isn’t original whatsoever. When I capped icons from that show for Rosaria I saw how many elements you actually stole from Yasmin, the character Marisa plays.

I recall you posting that this variation of Jessica spoke with a posh accent when at work. That’s an odd coincidence, considering the FC is an upper-class British woman.

The secret horny side for her co-worker. That’s an odd coincidence, considering you use the same character as a NPC that Jessica crushes on.

In fact, all the NPCs in Jessica’s life are from Industry.

So, all you did was portray Yasmin as an Italian-American woman. There’s nothing original or unique to your portrayal. If I used a new FC for Rosaria, you would not be claiming I stole from you. They would just both be white women who worked at an office, but MUCH different offices. In fact? They would probably be meeting at a bar getting drinks together and talking about the things that piss them off.

If Marisa was the sole FC you used for Jessica and I used her? That would be fucked up. But she was just one face in a collection of women who looked absolutely nothing alike.

Theo was born and raised in New York City to Adam and Amy Hart. The two had the little girl unexpectedly, her father a touring musician and her mother an Army Trauma Surgeon. The two were never suppose to be anything more than a one-night stand though it obviously turned wrong. Enter Theodora Floyd Hart, named after her grand mother on her mother’s side and her father’s favorite band Pink Floyd. Her mother took two years off army tour, while her father went on a world tour for some big artist. However, after those two years, her mother went back to touring as an army surgeon. During her mother’s return tour, the medical facility was ambushed and everyone on base died including Amy Hart.

At two years old, Theo was raised by her father as a single dad from then on. Despite having a child, her father never gave up on his dream of being a musician. He still toured being a guitarist for as many bands as he could. There was always a brunette baby with big pink headphones always was being passed around backstage. The second that Theo was old enough to have a guitar in her hands, her father taught her everything he knew, she actually picked it up quite quickly.

Her education was by far the last thing her father was worried about or Theo, especially when everything and everyone in her life was obsessed with music. As Theo got older, it was harder for her to watch her father turn into someone she hated. The older she got the less attention she received from her father as he turned to a raging alcoholic and drug addict. Turns out the music scene wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows as she once believed. The more time went on, the worse it got. She watched the industry that her father loved crush him in more ways than one; not crediting his music, writing him off, and leading him to his drug addiction everyone supported. While her father never put a hand on her, he did get mean. Especially once her musical talent started to pick up quite naturally. The musician started to resent his daughter for the gift that she had been given, especially as she sold her first song when she was just thirteen years old to a big pop artist. That’s when the name-calling started from her father, smashing things at her feet, cursing her talent, all she could do was eat the silence over something she could not control. Then he’d sober up and push for her to write and write and write until her wrists would hurt and her fingers would bleed from playing guitar so long.

Her music started to sell, that’s when the drugs started again, this time because her father was happy and over the moon of the musical prodigy that he held in his hands. Still, all that Theo wanted was to make her dad proud and she never felt that way. He felt like a manager, someone who just wanted money rather than seeing his own daughter thrive. She quit high school and started writing full-time with her father. She started to hate him even more, wishing that he would just go away. No matter how many songs she wrote or sold, she’d never hear a ‘I’m proud of you, kid’ or ‘your mom would have been so proud of you,’ nothing. This went on for years until one night, she returned back from working late to find her father passed out on the floor. Rushing to him, she found him already cold — drug overdose. She had always stayed away from substances, but now she swore she would never do any alcohol or drugs if she could help it.

Theo resented the music industry, so instead she got her GED and went to college. She started to study music and really started to learn the intricacies that she had picked up as almost a second language. In her schooling is where she met Joey, a woman who seemed to be trying to get her life on track as much as Theo was. For some reason, she thought she saw a piece of her mother in the wounded solider. The shed of light that pierced through was enough hope for Theo to latch onto the other woman. Her music started to come back again, she started writing like crazy as if she had never set it down in the first place. Despite not selling as much, she didn’t care because she truly felt like she was in love. Growing up in the music industry, she always saw her sexuality as fluid though she thought she found what she was looking for in Joey. It’s why when the idea of marriage came up, she said ‘yes’ faster than she could even think of logistics. At that point her music was not selling, only seemed to get worse over time. That’s when Theo was finally going to bring her financial struggle to her wife that she had been keeping a secret. Expect when she got home, all she found was a note from Joey apologizing and none of her things in their home.

At first, Theo spiraled just like her father would, trying to find a message at the bottom of the bottle. That turned into club nights with sniffling noses. Despite having the worst experience happen in her personal life, her music? Started getting picked up by big name artist. Those bars, cafes, and too drunk karaoke bars she used to sing at slowly started to grow an underground fan base in New York. An agent reached out to her saying that she shouldn’t just be writing for people and playing a shitty locations. Later that year, Theo won a grammy for best song-writer and song of the year under another artist but the credit was still there. Despite having the worst personal life in the world, she was having the best year professionally. Finally living her father’s dream she finally felt validated and good enough.

Picked up by an entire team, Theo started to launch her career as a singer-songwriter. In the mist of finishing the final touches to her first album, she was served with the divorce papers. Her agent threw a fit, saying she wanted to drown the divorce for as long as she could to assure Theo’s success. Theo dropped her life in New York to go find Joey, needing a physical signature of all parties to be notarized to finalize the divorce. Hiring a PI, she ended up finding Joey in Turtle Bay, SC. Turns out the sheriff can’t serve the sheriff so Theo took matters into her own hands and went to find her ex-wife herself. Making sure that everything is done for once and for all. Not being able to just drop on the other, she ended up leasing out an apartment on a month-to-month basis right on the edge of Oceanside until she solves all her legal matters.

Upon arriving, Theo was sure she would throw the divorce papers, get a signature, and leave, but she couldn't bring herself to do so. Once she saw Joey, she realized that a huge part of her life had been missing. Slowly, they are trying to make up for the time that lost between New York and Turtle Bay.

Allie had always been the most eccentric one in her family, she didn’t realize that she wasn’t the only one. Then one day it was as if a light switch turned on, she realized who she was. What she was. And where she belonged. The Turners have always been a little left of center, most in the community knew that a coven lived among them, most ignored it. Some took advantage and allowed the family to help them when it was needed. And some would cause an uproar and eventually give up and move away.

At the age of twelve is when Allie came into her powers, and from then on, she made her own way in her life, striking out on her own to travel as soon as she turned 18. She loved being creative and found that she was good at drawing and design, this is what led her to her job designing sets. She spent most of her time after getting her degree looking for work. Theatre, a few Hollywood sets, then finally landing in Vancouver, she fell in love with the city and immediately found herself working for the biggest studio in the city.

Allie has always been a flirt, and typically gets her way. She works hard and is a protective woman by nature, if you mean something to her, you’ll always find yourself safe and protected by her.
