My favourite reads of 2020:

According to my goodreads account, 2020 has been an excellent year for reading. (A bit self-explenatory - considering the circumstances.) Thought I’d have a look at which of the books I read I would like to recommend. I felt some books more keenly than the other ones, of course. Many of them have a message I especially like:

1. Björnstad / Us against you: Two parts of a series of which I’m eagerly awaiting the third book. They consist of several interesting stories and characters. At the heart of it all is a hockey-team, their victories and their losses. It is a story of a town so far north that the forrest keeps eating at it, one house at the time. It is about how most of the people living there need to reajust their attitudes and how hard it can be to change. 

2. Hør her’a: Best feel-good book of the year, even if it touched upon som impactful themes and questions. The main character, Mahmoud of 15, gets a visit from his pakistani uncle and has to guide him through Oslo. This allows the reader a look into his perception of the city, of “Norwegian Norwegians” and also into his neighbourhood. Mahmouds ponders some important questions on culture and identity. There are very clear obstacles in his way, but I like how it ends well. I don’t know if it’s a realistic ending, but I loved it even so. 

3. Not forgetting the whale:  Maybe I liked this one so much because it deals with a pandemic and felt so recognisable to our own situation this year. I love dystopic books, but this one managed to make me feel good as well as describing a form of apocalypse. The key to that was the unexpected factor that solved everything in the end. A perfect read for 2020. 

4. Min mormor hälsar och säger forlåt:  A real fairy-tale for grown ups, this one. I am amazed at how a grown man was able to write this wisely about mother-daughter-relations, about grandmothers and their grandchildren. The events of the book are both tragic and difficult for a seven year-old to deal with, but Elsa gradually discovers how her grandmothers fairy-tales all had some truth to them. And she learns that she actually has some of the bravest, most interesting characters from those stories present in her life.

5. Glasshjerte: The last 5-star rating om my list this year is definitely more than crime-fiction. It has beautiful descriptions, especially those seen through the eyes of mentally disabled Robin. The relation between him and his brother, Mikkel gives heart to the book. I also liked the investigatiors dealing with their own problems, one hypocondriac and one convicted fellon. A surprising, yet melancolly conclusion to it all made an extra impression on me.

Tokoyami Fumikage x Reader

“Again could you please keep me anonymous? But I absolutely adored the soulmate au with tokoyami a lot and now I would like to ask if you could pretty please make a part 2 of it where tokoyami has to face the class with the fact that he's got identical eyes now. Maybe the soulmate would be with him as the class walked into them in the middle of the swap happening? Thanks already! <3”

I’m SO SORRY it took so long to do this!!! Actually I wrote this on the end of feb but ??? I think I saved as a draft instead of posting it????😬😬😬 whoops, But here we go, this is a part 2 this scenario! Please make sure to check part one before reading it! 

“Fumikage-” he cleared his throat, suddenly becoming aware that he gave out his given name “Tokoyami Fumikage” his new found soulamte chuckled as his fathers started to ruffle, giving away he was somehow blushing in his own way, his pair of red eyes carried curiousness and wonder “it’s a pleasure to meet you” he bowed towards you, almost like a reverence, he cared grace in his movements like it was breathing

“Likewise” as they bowed respectfully closing their eyes, mentally reassuring not to freak out in front of him, they never expected to have such a unique soulmate, whom voice was so deep, attractive, his aura reminding you a bit of dramas like phantom of the opera, full of melancolly and etheral beauty, shallowing, they knew he was going to become addictive in a blink of eye.

Even with their eyes closed, they sensed the place has some how become darker for a suddent moment, glacing up, y/n became stiff as they noticed a shadow above them, which cared similar characteristics as a crow, yellow eyes glanced between the scene with attention, curiously looking closer at his master’s companion- “Greetings, Dark Shadow” the dark form bowed way more dramatically than its owner. Shocked, moving back and forth from the shadow to their soulmate with a mouth agape, y/n could sense both were a bit apprehensive towards their reaction, assurance was given slowly as they smiled excitedly, in a suddent rush of memories, y/n became aware of who their soulmate was,

“Tsukuyomi” even with eyes caring a pitch black facede, it was evident joy was overflowing within them, “from U.A. Academy?” tilting their head, trying to make it clear to the very silent moment, they have seen them both before on UA Sports Festival, seeing Tokoyami in action,they fell almost instantly as a fan over how powerful he was

“Indeed” his lip-beak line shyly curved upwards, Tokoyami didn’t like social interactions with strangers- or people who only knew them over their quirks- as much as his classmates did, but pride filled his aura slowly as he admired his soulmate excited features, “I have to admit I’m a little bit of fan” flustered over a shy confession, they chuckled slightly, both of their hearts were pounding so rapidly, even if biologically impossible, Tokoyami prayed for them not to hear the overflowing honesty inside his chest

“I’m delighted to hear that someone as radiant as you would be fond of me ” he looked towards the ground, suffling in his feet, shyness flooding his body once more, he was so unsure of his words, of his movements, little did he know, his soulmate was flourishing every word he said to their heart

Y/n smiled for the gentle compliment, Tokoyami cared kindess and strenght both at the same time, but him showing a little bit of lack of confidence in his posture made them want to reassure to him there wasn’t anything to worry about, words werent their greatest fort like his soulmate has proven to have such a rich, smooth as velvet  vocabulary, instead they closed of a bit of the distance between them, holding his hand as they gently caressed their tumbs across his rough knuckles

“Hm... Tokoyami-kun?” both jumped as they were pulled out of some sort of trance, looking surprised to several different faces, after a moment, a pink girl shouted the girliest scream everyone in that cinema ever heard, “YOUR EYES!” she moved her pointed finger between y/n and tokoyami,”HOW CUTE!!’ after a moment, all of they exploded in a excited cheer

“Tokoyami! you dog!!”a slim boy with blond hair hugged his shoulders, “ wait- you bird?” he asked more towards himself, gathering a bit of chuckles between a purple haired girl “Congratulations! this is so cool to happen right after the movie” a muscular red haired boy came closer to both of them, before they knew it, y/n was showered with several questions 

“So romantic! are you excited to finally find your soulmate?” a high pitched voice asked, but no one in sight, he had a invisible friend? thats so cool-

“whats your name?”breaking their train of thoughts,  a tiny hand meet y/n’s quite excitedly, a brunette with the logest eyelashes they have ever seen smiled warmly at them

“whats your quirk?” beside the brunette stood a freeckled boy, holding up a scheckt book very close to his face, writting frenetically as he sometimes glued his eyes on them for a spit of a second, then returning to the book

“Have you kissed yet?” that one voice came from bellow, along as many purple balls, seconds after you saw a graceful girl with a pony tail glaring towards the midget boy

“Leave them be” as more questions were asked between the two of you, y/n heared Tokoyami sighing heavly as he closed his eyes, maybe this overexcited behavior was something he had to deal in regular basis “its alright” y/n averted their eyesight towards the ravenboy, holding hands tightly and smiling warmly as he returned a similar smile, gathering a way louder “HOW CUUUUUUUUUUTE” again from the pink girl, many of them joining in right after, maybe today was going to be a longer (and louder) day that Tokoyami and Y/n expected.

melancollie's arcade lynx adopt has me hella confused. they posted it with the "old art" linked and said it's "kinda bad," yet the art in the canvas itself is objectively worse than the original design? the only thing that could explain it, at least to me, is a base? but why claim it as your own if it's not? I did a google image search as well and found a character that is /similar/ but not an exact copy, but I don't know if it's enough of a similarity to warrant a report
