You felt disgusted—repulsed, even. Human meat? Of course, the man just had to have that on his bucket list too. You wrinkled your nose in disgust as you sat across from him, your own dull food no longer looking appetizing. The mortified look on your face only deepened as he chuckled and offered you a taste.

You might feel a surge of morbid curiosity and nudge yourself to ask what it tastes like, hoping to satiate your burning mind. Or maybe you'd go off about how it’s unnecessary or just plain wrong.

"Oh, and tell me, dear... did you think twice about the chick, the bird, on your plate? The role it would’ve played in its flock? The others who might’ve relied on it?" he’d ask, his tone dragged out, laced with a slight hint of condescension. The soft clink of his fork against the edge of his plate punctuates the question.

“Hunger is a need that has to be satiated. It’s as simple as that. And sometimes, hunger comes with... craving. “

Like the chefs are trembling as reader watches over their shoulders😭

Not only will their boss have their head if the reader is displeased or gets hurt… but they have to deal with the reader’s brutal judgement…

Dramatic spit "Get out of my kitchen!"

A Chef literally sweating and having a mid life crisis as they present their dish to a stone faced reader.

Just imagining reader doing the "WHAT ARE YOU??" "An idiot sandwich :(" with a poor sod who just wants to not lose his job.

The chefs have no choice but to humour the reader too because yk…scary pants man

And I love how everyone agrees xiangling and reader would totally be besties💯

Mershark Dottore as a platonic yandere!

That would ensue some wacky and pretty interesting scenarios,

There’s a lot of possibilities in scenarios and they woukd depend on the setting!

—He could be a marine specimen in a lab and you’d be the one keeping charge of him

—Or just a casual day at the beach for you

So many possibilities!

I could probs turn this into a series for the harbingers and how they would act as merfolk n stuff!
