1. Classic Tiered Wedding Cakes
A classic tiered cake remains a timeless choice for many couples. Whether it’s a two-tiered or a five-tiered extravaganza, these cakes add a sense of grandeur and elegance to any wedding. Decorated with fondant, flowers, or intricate lace-like designs, they can be customized to match your wedding theme and colors. The beauty of tiered cakes lies in their ability to capture both tradition and sophistication.
In Pune, top bakeries like Forennte Patisserie and La Kheer Deli are known for creating beautiful and delicious tiered cakes that leave a lasting impression on guests. From classic vanilla to rich chocolate or exotic flavors like raspberry and red velvet, these bakeries ensure that each layer is not only visually stunning but also delectable.
2. Customized Designer Cakes
Modern couples often prefer cakes that reflect their personalities or tell a unique story. Customized designer cakes are becoming increasingly popular for weddings, as they offer a blank canvas for creativity. Pune's bakeries like Sweet Mantra and Cake Dior are experts at crafting cakes that range from whimsical themes to elegant designs featuring intricate details. Whether you want a cake inspired by your favorite movie, a travel destination, or even your love story, these designers bring your ideas to life.
Couples can also opt for cakes that incorporate traditional Indian elements like mehendi patterns or lotus flowers, creating a fusion of modernity and heritage in cake form. The possibilities are endless when it comes to customized wedding cakes.
3. Naked Cakes and Rustic Designs
For couples seeking a more minimalist and natural aesthetic, naked cakes and rustic designs are the go-to trend. These cakes forgo heavy fondant or elaborate icing, showcasing the layers of cake and filling. Often adorned with fresh flowers, fruits, or a simple drizzle of frosting, naked cakes are perfect for outdoor or boho-themed weddings. They add a touch of rustic charm and elegance to your event.
Pune-based cake artists like The Flour Works and Pasteur’s Patisserie are known for creating these rustic delights that look effortless yet chic. Naked cakes are particularly popular for garden or countryside weddings, where the natural beauty of the cake complements the outdoor setting.
4. Flavored Wedding Cakes
While the visual appeal of a wedding cake is crucial, the flavor is equally important. Many couples are now moving away from traditional vanilla and chocolate flavors, opting for more adventurous choices. Pune’s cake designers offer a wide range of unique flavors, from tiramisu and passion fruit to lemon poppy seed and salted caramel.
Forennte Patisserie and Sassy Teaspoon are popular for their extensive menu of flavors, allowing couples to mix and match layers of different tastes. This approach ensures that there’s something for every palate, making the cake-cutting moment all the more delightful for guests.
5. Vegan and Gluten-Free Wedding Cakes
As the demand for healthier and more inclusive dietary options grows, many Pune bakeries now offer vegan and gluten-free wedding cakes. For couples who prefer plant-based diets or need to cater to guests with dietary restrictions, these cakes ensure that no one is left out of the celebration.
Bakeries like Indulgence by Deepali Sawant and The Cake Alchemist specialize in creating cakes that are free from animal products and gluten but are still rich in flavor and texture. These cakes can be just as decadent as traditional cakes, proving that dietary limitations don’t have to compromise taste or design.
6. Cakes with Fresh Floral Arrangements
A popular wedding cake trend in Pune is the use of fresh flowers as cake decorations. These cakes often feature beautiful blooms that match the wedding décor, adding a natural and romantic touch. The combination of fresh flowers and delicate buttercream or fondant makes for an elegant and timeless design.
Bakeries such as Cake Lounge and The French Window Patisserie are known for incorporating flowers like roses, lilies, and orchids into their cake designs. The addition of real blooms elevates the cake’s appearance while complementing the overall wedding theme.
7. Cupcake Towers and Dessert Tables
For couples who want to offer their guests variety, cupcake towers or dessert tables are a fun and modern alternative to a traditional wedding cake. This option allows for different flavors, styles, and individual servings, which guests can enjoy without waiting for the cake to be sliced.
Pune’s Le Plaisir and Divine Bakes create beautiful cupcake displays and dessert spreads that add a playful and interactive element to the celebration. From macarons and mini-tarts to cupcakes and cake pops, a dessert table provides endless options for guests with a sweet tooth.
Conclusion

Things To Remember While Selecting Flowers For Any Purposes
Flowers are presumed to be the best decoration item in the world due to their versatility in every possible adornment. Flowers can also be an exciting gift idea as they intensify the mood of the receiver and create a feeling of joy and happiness. Whether it’s a wedding purpose or Valentine’s day, a birthday bash or any corporate event, there is nothing that can replace the flowers as a décor item or as a gift item.
There can be many occasions on which you can gift your loved ones a flower bouquet or just only to make your loved one realize that you love them. Providing flowers to anyone can stimulate feelings and thus help us to convey our feelings whether to confess love, or to express thanks or condolence. Flowers are capable of stimulating an emotional reaction in almost every receiver.
Whether it’s the purpose of creating an Indian wedding decoration theme or a Mehendi and Sangeet décor flower are probably the leading choice to create alluring and gorgeous decoration. But creating a flower arrangements is not as simple as you might think. It’s not about just going to a florist shop and buy flowers. There are multiple things that are needed to be considered while choosing flower decoration for any purposes. You can not attach bright flowers in a corporate event decoration as corporate events need sophisticated look and soft colours in decoration. While selecting a flower decoration for any purpose you should be aware about the temperament of the event for which you are taking the flowers. Let’s take a look at the most considered factors of purchasing flowers for any decoration or personal gift ideas.
The Flowers Should Be Fresh
The very first thing that you should keep in mind while buying flowers for any decoration purpose is the freshness of the flowers. Flowers are used majorly in various ornamentation just because of their quality of freshness. A touch of flowers in any decoration can provide the entire venue a fresh and decent look which help to rejuvenate the inner psyche. Light coloured flowers like tulips, lilies, orchids are perfect to create elegant and sophisticated flower decoration pictures. If you don’t ensure the freshness of the flowers it can ruin the entire set up as the flowers that are not fresh and clean are not competent to provide the desired fresh look and passionate aroma. So if you go personally or book flowers from the florist always keep additional concentration to judge the freshness of the flowers
Confirm The Purposes
The second major thing which should be assessed is the purposes or the reasons for the purchasing of flowers. If the event is wedding or birthday you can not create a sophisticated look. Events that are correlated with joy and pleasure should always retain bright and radiant flower decoration whereas the sophisticated look is perfect for commercial events. So do check the mood of the event for which you are taking the flowers and then decide flowers for decoration.
It Should Be Cost- Efficient
If you want flower arrangements that are both gorgeous yet less costly do combine fresh flowers with artificial flowers to give a mix look. Undoubtedly, nothing can beat the beauty of fresh flower in a flower decoration but if you find it costly for your pocket do combine both fresh and artificial flowers to give polished yet stunning look.
So finding right flowers for right purposes is not a ‘cake walk'. It needs lots of endurance, thinking and effort to provide a look that is best suited for any occurrence. Let us know about your opinions related to this article.

Relax and enjoy the wedding you have planned! The Indian Wedding Planning Checklist was designed to be used for a minimum of 12 months planning period. However, this checklist can be used for shorter or longer periods of planning. There are several adjustments that you can make to the check-list.
Tips:
We recommend the following alternative options for couples with short planning periods:
1. For the time that you have been absent OR for your wedding preparations, create a "catch up" strategy.
2. Hire a coordinator for your wedding.
If you are short on time, choose option 2. However, you don't want to spend too much for a wedding coordinator. Instead, you can set up a list of tasks you and your partner could take care of. The rest of the tasks can be outsourced to your wedding coordinator. This will allow you to manage your wedding budget.

The new age wedding
Weddings are a sacred day for everyone to cherish. A traditional wedding ceremony has a focal point – a stage where the couple conducts the seven circuits of the “Holy Fire” and a lot more traditions. The wonderful thing about traditions though, is that they are very flexible and these days its not uncommon for couples to alter the rituals to fit their unique personalities.
For starters, you now choose your own life partners whereas before it was the parents who did so. New customs everyday, creating an endless number of ways to celebrate your nuptials.
Well, merging new age traditions with the old customs is where we as wedding planners barge in with the creativity. Below are some of the ways how weddings have changed.
Mehendi function is the very start of a wedding wherein the bride decorates her hand and feet with henna. Contemporary brides have now started making tattoos out of it on the navel, armlets, etc. And also with the instagram reels, and ganna shots and all the social media coverage, there is now a dress code for every ritual. Wearing green is the one for Mehendi.
Using hashtags made out of the names of the couples is another trendiest change that we have witnessed gaining popularity. Incorporating the same hashtag in the wedding decor too has now become a ritual in itself.
Next comes the sangeet, which is now getting influenced by the dash of western culture. It was traditionally a ceremony where the bride and groom, with their families and friends, danced all through the evening forgetting about all the worries about the arrangements. Now, its more like a coordinated ceremony where choreographers are hired, performances listed with an anchor, and sometimes all of it is replaced with lavish cocktail parties with celebrity presence and couple games.
Reception has an all new twist of cutting cakes like the weddings in the west. And not to forget, eco-friendly weddings are a whole new concept that has been gaining a lot of attention these days so we will soon be posting a whole another blog for the same. Feel free to contact us for more ideas to curate a wedding that is uniquely yours. We say that a lot because for us your wedding not just a deal, we put in efforts not to earn but to make it day of your life which is as beautiful as life

7 IDEAS TO JAZZ UP YOUR WEDDING CAKE
You no longer have to settle for the simple, default wedding cake designs. You can now customize and personalize your wedding cakes by giving it a cultural touch.
Henna Design Cake
What better way to indianize a wedding cake than decorating it with henna inspired designs. It looks simple and classy. You can play with different colour combinations and customize it as per your taste.
Drape It
.Give the generic wedding cake a twist by draping the cake with an edible saree. You can match the edible draped saree with that of the bride's outfit and surprise her with a matching cake
Play With The Flavour
Get over the chocolate and vanilla flabours. Ask the baker to whip a completely unique cake for your wedding reflecting your favourite dessert through its flavour. My personal favourite is the gulab jamun cake (coz duh! it's gulab jamun.) Besides gulab jamun, there's rass malai cakes, mango rassmalai cake, rossgulla cake, etc.
Dholak Cake
This dholak cake looks unreal. I was amazed just like you ae when i set my eyes upon it. You can surprise the bride with a dholak or a shehnai cake on her mehendi day and make it extra special.
Saree Cake
I want this cake to be included in my wedding festivities. I shall pester anybody and everybody about this. Just look at it. It doesn't even look like a cake. It's so perfect symbolizing some important aspects for a bride in her wedding.
Doll Cake With A Twist
Doll cake was such a rage when i was a kid (10 years back or so) Everybody wanted one for their birthdays. Well, you can still have one bridal doll cake. You can also get a groom doll cake and arrange for a cute couple cake.
Customized Cake Topper
The above wedding cakes not your style? Trying to stick to simple designs? You can add your own touch to it by getting a customized cake topper.

Wedding Shoot Ideas For Every Couple
Wedding Shoot Ideas For Every Couple
Since the rise of social media platforms like Instagram, Tumblr, and Snapchat, important events in your life are not just to be all hush are they? This is the age of sharing the happy times in your life, and what’s happier than your wedding! But before the actual event, it is interesting to have a fun, quirky pre-wedding photoshoot to fill up that gallery with amazing photos of a time you cherish the most, and also provide creative inspiration to a whole lot of people who can see your dashing photos online. Just to help you get started, here are some pre-wedding photoshoot ideas that are completely out of the box, and thus so completely you!
1. The Happy Home All couples fantasize about the dreamy life they are going to lead together in the future. If you have an idea about what your home is going to look like, and what fun things you are going to do every day, then there is nothing better than planning a comfortable shoot in your dream home! Dress up in your cutest, comfiest PJs, and have fun taking shots around your home; baking a cake with your to-be-spouse, lying on the rug and reading a book, wrapped up in a cozy blanket and watching Breakfast At Tiffany’s—just think of your favorite, most homely things and have that shoot amigo!
2. The Hipster Couple If you are more on the artsy side and want to express it in this shoot, then let the inner hipster in you go wild. Choose a little corner cafe with old furniture, large potted plants in the corners, vintage prints on the walls and books, books, and more books on the shelves. Dress in your comfy, faded denim and worn-out t-shirts and your converse, pull out that old tote bag out from your closet and fill it up with your old familiar friends like diaries, ink pens, and your good old’ Haruki Murakami. Have a cozy photoshoot at this location. If you cannot find a cafe that matches your hipster dream, then recreate the setting at home, or in a studio. For the styling and makeup, it is best to consult a professional who can give you that been-on-the-street-scene-look. Go for messy-chic hairstyles and a natural glow on the face. You can experiment with lip tints and eye shadows. Aditi Joshi, who is a professional makeup artist based in New Delhi, is an artist who strives to bring out your true personality and would be a great choice for this quirky theme. Find Aditi on this website.
3. Role-Playing photoshoot If you and your partner are majorly into television shows, movie series or video games, this shoot is ideal for you. Pick your favorite characters from popular series like Harry Potter, LOTR, Alice in Wonderland, and Game of Thrones, or go for more off-beat choices like characters from Roald Dahl, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams. You can also choose characters from Studio Ghibli movies, like Spirited Away, Kiki’s Delivery Service and Princess Mononoke. If you are into gaming, you can choose characters from the hundreds on World Of Warcraft, like the Blood Elves or Draenei, or Dark Souls, or Overwatch. There are hundreds of great games out there. You can order the costumes online and get them fitted, or you can get them tailored just for you. The makeup for a role play pre-wedding photoshoot can be extremely tricky, so it is best to get the help of a professional like the previously mentioned Aditi Joshi. You can also consult Mehendi artist Amreen to help you with temporary, safe tattoos if you are choosing Indian characters from Orijit Sen’s comics or from Indian Epics like the Mahabharata or Ramayana. You can find Amreen on this website; https://starclinch.com/amreens-mehandi-art.
4. The Overload This is an over-the-top idea that you can pull off with panache and great success. Choose your favorite thing in the world that you share with your partner—books, music, flowers, chocolate, coffee, whatever it is! Book a studio, and hire artisans to make gigantic replicas of your favorite things. You can use cardboard and Styrofoam for this, so they are easy to move around the place. Use fairy lights and lace drapes to give the place an ethereal charm, and have a wonderful photoshoot amongst these giant replicas of your favorite things that you share with your to-be spouse. Once again, hiring the services of a professional makeup artist is recommended.
These are four pre-wedding photoshoot ideas that will make sure you and your beloved can have great memories, as well as a glamorous online a gallery that is true to yourselves! You can think of a number of other ideas, or go the classic way if you feel that it reflects you better. The main idea is to have a lot of fun together to have a shubh-aarambh to a happy life of togetherness

It’s your wedding and you can’t look less than a million dollars. Well, today’s your lucky day as we’ve curated some gorgeous wedding jewellery and outfits that every to-be bride and her bridesmaids MUST check out!
Choosing the perfect wedding jewellery is neither a piece of cake for the bride nor her bridesmaids. But when we got to see Mumbai based jewellery brand Antara Jewellery’s latest wedding collection, we knew we MUST SHARE this with all you lovelies!
Choker Beauty!
So we went ahead and did what we love doing… announce an awesome photoshoot giveaway for a bunch of to-be bride and her bridesmaids!
Antique Charm
And of course, we got together our team of favorite wedding brands – premium trousseau and bridal wear designer Sulakshana Monga, wedding photographers Picsurely, bridal makeup artist Kajol R Paswwan and event planner Niche Events by Priyal Mehta…
Keep calm… you’re the bride!
…all came together under the gorgeous banquet space at Tote on the Turf for the ultimate wedding look photoshoot!
Of Brides to-be… & Wedding Jewellery!
From the hundreds of entries that poured in, we finally chose bride Saloni and her bridesmaids Janvi and Prachi; and bride Anushi and her bff’s Drishti, Divya and Jheal.
Bridal Finery
Our underlying theme for both brides was “Royally Indian” and we chose the most gorgeous and classic red and green bridal lehengas for them from the collection of designer Sulakshana Monga.
Pure Pastels!
On the other hand, we know how your bridesmaids just can’t resist the current trend of pastels ruling the roost, so for our bridesmaids we chose the most ethereal lehengas in various shades of pinks, mauves, lilacs and steely greys!
Girls & their love for Pearls
That set the tone for everything else that followed.. and without further ado – we present to you the wedding jewellery and outfit looks for the upcoming wedding season.
Wedding Look 1 Decoded – Bride Saloni & her Bridesmaids!
Regal in Red
If you’ve always dreamt of wearing red on your wedding day, Saloni’s classic red and gold bridal look is everything you need to see. We’re in love with this rich red Sulakshana Monga lehenga with intricate jharokhas in zardosi and hand embroidery. Paired with a gold waistband and all gold jewellery, she looks as royal as it gets!
The Beautiful Bride
Her antique finish bridal choker from Antara Jewellery stands out with its fine jaali work and unique floral kundan karigari. Matching jhumkas, maangtika, an enviable stack of chunky gold bangles and oversized rings all go together to create the perfect red bride look.
Hands down Winner!
Bridesmaids Lehengas & Jewellery
All about Mehendi
For her bridesmaid Janvi, we chose an offbeat parrot green and pink lehenga with ornate palatial motifs and a stylish waist clinching belt. If you’ve not yet finalized your mehendi lehenga, this could be it!
Gold and Golden
And don’t miss Janvi’s lightweight rajwadi style necklace with minakari work on antique gold and those cutesy square jhumkis!
Mesmerizing
With hatke rings and gold bangles for company, Janvi looks the perfect bridesmaid to her royal bride Saloni!
Pretty in Pink
For her friend Prachi, we chose this pink geometric mosaic lehenga with a dreamy blouse and ruffled dupatta!
Sister of the bride
We paired her pink lehenga with a pink touch meenakari necklace complete with nakshi work and khakha moti – lovely, ain’t it!
Everything else that Matters… Makeup hair and decor!
Subtle
To complete their look, our favourite makeup artist Kajol R Paswwan kept all bridesmaids’ make-up minimal and hair trendy.
Glowing Bride
For our bride Sonal, she created dramatic eyes and pop pink lips to match the hint of pink near her neckline. A sideswept bun and loose curls framed her face and made her stand out from the typical bridal updo most brides opt for!
Cos they know you better!
As Saloni and her friends got ready amidst laughter and conversations, our candid photographer Picsurely did a great job capturing their memorable moments forever!
Princess Feels
The royal setup by event planner Niche Events helped everyone channel their inner princesses and pose for the shutterbugs!
And of course, girls will be girls when it comes to posing and making merry!
Wedding Look 2 Decoded – Bride Anushi & her Bridesmaids!
With Anushi, we wanted to create a Sangeet look so we ditched traditional colours and opted for this emerald green lehenga with an off-shoulder blouse and a waist clinching belt.
Love for Diamonds!
And the show stealer of-course was this stunning diamond choker by Antara Jewellery! We’re not just loving its fine karigari and finish but the fact that this works perfectly with both Indian outfits and western gowns
Gorgeous in Green
Matching earrings, ring and bracelet completed Anushi’s sangeet look and the side swept curls and braided puff hairstyle added a touch of grace.
Blush Blush!
MUA Kajol emphasized our bride’s eye makeup with much needed color and let her lips glow in a perky shade of pink!
Bridesmaids Lehengas & Jewellery
Prettiest shades of Grey!
Bestie Jheal rocked it in this uber-stylish steel grey lehenga pairedwith a trendy off-shoulder blouse sweetheart neck blouse!
G for Gorgeous
Instead of going contemporary for her jewellery, we paired it with this stunning traditional looking jadau necklace and boy did the combination work like magic!
All Smiles
Her freind Divya looked mesmerizing in this pretty pink layers and frills lehenga.
Sublime
No wonder we’ve chosen the most delicate diamond and stone necklace for her!
For the Love of Diamonds
Lightly crimped hair and blush pink eyes are all we needed to keep her looking fresh and dainty!
Prettify your hands
And finally here’s bestie Drishti, whom we dressed up in this sequinns and shimmers nude outfit with the prettiest ruffled blouse!
Chic
Check out this angelic neck-piece from Antara Jewellers ‘Fiori’ collection – it was just the thing we needed to add finesse to her bridesmaid look!
Sooo Pretty
As they prepped and dolled up their favourite girl, our photographer Picsurely captured their lovely moments.
The D-Day Story
Posing together, this gang of girls cut the cutest picture ever!
