I finally have finished one of my old wip back from 2022 ahh finally zzz

Sinking deep into the sea

Of all this misery,

There's no point open up my eyes

I've been falling constantly,

I wonder, if this is all my destiny...

I'm not sure why it's

me, and where am I to go

Then I see a light that

blinded me with a soft glow

I could reach out and pretend

that I had it in my hand

But it passes and I'm left

with just some empty sand

I wonder what exactly was

that dim yellow thing

So close so far so nice so

warm and yet so dazzling

Subconsciously, I counteract

that light for covering

I'm a deep sea girl,

sinking deeper down below

Trapped beyond all the darkness

where no light will ever show

That deep sea girl, how

she yearns for that light

Prisoned in the dark, but it

seems she's finally found

the one who holds her heart

Such sleepless times floating

endless in the waves

Then I see you spread your wings

And so slowly fly away

Again the light was pouring

down, I gazed with surprise

Paid no attention to the blue

eyes watching from nearby

And then I glanced and what was

left: we met with locking eyes

You swam towards me, who'd lied

I'm a deep sea girl, sinking

due to my own will

Blushing red even deep within

the dark that was so still

That deep sea girl wants

to show her heart and soul

But the shadows cause her to doubt

herself if she could even let it go

My clothes are stained so

black in this endless darkness

My smile, so warped in

this void-like abyss

My face, so lost, I cannot

show it to you again

Please leave me be in this blue

I am overflown with all these anxious

feelings I can't fight so I'd hide

But in a second, suddenly

you're nowhere to be seen

You're so out of sight....

I'm a worrywart girl,

screaming out in despair

Once again, all alone lost

in the dark without a care

The unfree girl reached to

the light with all her might

"See? You're, all this time,

filled with all those brilliant

bursting colours right inside"

as I rise up from the sand

That deep sea girl wants to

This is my new favorite cover of The Tailor of Enbizaka. Massive props to Pablo Bablo for how they tuned Luka here. Luka V4x can sound absolutely beautiful when used correctly, and it shows.

I've been saving up money, and have been waiting for Luka's voice bank to go on sale. She finally did, so I bought her V4X voicebank! She should arrive this month. I'm finally gonna have Luka!!!

Lemme take a deep breath for a second BC I gotta rant as both a vocaloid fan and user. It's nearly 4am and I just remembered this exists and I'm mad (still)

What in the world has CFM done with Super Pack? I won't lie, I'm late talking about this but it's been on my mind for a while now and makes me so glad I didn't take advantage of the discount I got to buy the damn thing...

Why are all six voice banks so robotic, muffled and choppy? It's honestly like a major downgrade compared to the V4X, V3, and even V2 voice banks. They all sound like they have a cold and I just wanna tell them all to blow their noses so they can BREATHE

(I didn't mention Miku NT because that's not exactly great... we don't talk about her)

What they did to Luka was just absolutely unforgivable. I wasn't happy with the V4X Japanese voice banks (I cried when the first demo for her dropped) because she didn't sound like "Luka", but SP Luka is just Miku but pink. I'm sorry but she really is. Yes, we're all well aware that Luka's Japanese voice banks have lost their huskiness over the years but what in the world is THIS?

Can we honestly just go back to V2 Luka? Her Japanese was absolutely amazing and she performs very well at lower octaves which no other JPN Luka can seem to do. Yes, she has her faults. When she's being used on the actual Vocaloid 2 editor she can be quite choppy, (although that issue is fixed when you move her onto Piapro) but she was an absolute angel. It's kind of like CFM just wanna make her all cutesy and just eugh... she's never really been that way, the personality they gave her back in the day doesn't suit. High pitched Luka doesn't sound great imo

AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON MEIKO — or should I say Miku No.3. Look, I can be mad, I adore Luka and MEIKO, okay.

Honestly Rin, Len, Miku and KAITO were really the only ones who sort of turned out alright, it's just so frustrating that these vbs were "upgraded" versions of their straight voice banks from V3 and V4X. To be honest with you, they should have just tweaked those voice banks a LITTLE and just used them instead of whatever this is.

But at the end of the day if this is the quality that CFM are putting out then I'm scared for when Miku returns to Vocaloid and we get her AI voice bank...

We're getting close to the end. Just a few more. We've reached our final Cryptonloid of the gauntlet, Megurine Luka!

For a very brief period after her debut, Luka was actually more popular than Miku! She shook up the NicoNico ratings and brought in a new wave of creativity. She was the first bilingual Vocaloid, too, having both a Japanese and an English voicebank with her V2 release. The Luka craze may have passed, but I still think she's great. Her cool, mature tone makes her a great choice for more serious songs, but she can absolutely still be used for goofs (e.g., Rin-Chan Now!).

Luka's designs are some of the most varied of the Crypton gang after Miku's...mostly because of the different direction iXima took with the V4x artwork. That's not saying a whole lot, but still. Each one has a few defining characteristics that set it apart from the others.
