how the jjk boys react to being jealous...ft. itadori, megumi, gojo, nanami, & takuma
authors note: MERRY CHRISTMAS
cw: slightly suggestive, angst, healthy jealousy
wc: 3.6k
Itadori doesn’t really get jealous much but when he does he’s pouty. He’s late for a date one night and when he opens the door to your favorite restaurant he spots you in the corner. You’re smiling and laughing at something the waiter had said. Itadori felt a pang of jealousy in his chest. He was just about the only one who could make you laugh like that and he didn’t like some random guy trying to take his place. Your eyes meet Itadori and they light up. The waiter looks back, a bit flustered when he spots the sour faced Itadori.
“I’ll get those drinks in for ya.” He says and walks away rather fast. Itadori leans over the table and kisses your cheek as he slides into the booth across from you.
“Sorry I was late,” he starts as you smile.
“Everything okay?” You ask, your infinite kindness speaking. He nods his head.
“Christmas traffic.” He shrugs as you nod your head in understanding.
He obviously didn’t want to say but he was out getting you a present. He didn’t fancy himself good with gift giving but he had an idea late last night and was hunting around for the item all morning. He finally found it then realized he was gonna be late.
“I’m glad I got all that crap done early.” You said as he reached for your hand, pulling your knuckles to his lips to press a kiss. The waiter comes back and sets the drinks down on the table and Itadori can’t hide the look on his face when the waiter smiles down at you. He pouts a bit when you smile back. He knows you’re being polite and he also knows he’s being pouty. He can’t help it. You’re a lot of things Itadori likes. You’re kind and caring, funny and smart. He likes the way you think and your attention to detail. He’s lost a lot of people he loves and lately the way he thinks about them has changed. He’s become over protective but he can’t help it. He can’t lose anyone else.
“Yuji?” Your voice breaks through to him, he was lost in thought. He blinks, clearing his throat. He tells the waiter his order and watches as the man shoots another one last flirty look at you before leaving. You hadn’t even given the waiter the attention he wanted. Instead you were reaching across the table for Itadori’s hands. “You sure you’re okay?” You ask and he gives your hand a gentle squeeze.
“I think the waiter has a crush.” He says and you start to laugh.
“Yeah I noticed that. I’m glad you got here when you did.” You say and he calms. He knows you’re not the type who would cheat, that's not really where his jealousy was stemming from. It was just the fact that he liked being the one to make you happy and didn’t trust strangers. He gives you a soft smile and you cock your head slightly. “Wait…” you trail off and when he looks at you you have a smirk on your lips. “Are you jealous, Yuji?” You ask and Itadori shakes his head.
“I- Of course not! I just- I noticed he was a little smiley that’s all.” He stutters out as you raise a brow, slowly nodding your head.
“Uh huh.” You jest, hiding a giggle behind your hand.
“Okay fine. Yes a little,” he relents as you nod along with his words.
“That’s cute.” You say and he gets up, sliding into your booth. It was all very smooth.
“No I’m not,” he says, pink cheeked as he presses a kiss to your lips.
Megumi is very protective, and gets jealous pretty easily. He doesn’t open up to many people and so when you cracked him wide open with your kindness and patience he didn’t know what to do. He also didn’t know what to do when you became good friends with Todo. That freaked him right out. You two were polar opposites but he’d see you across campus with that giant idiot drinking tea or laughing together. That made him sick to his stomach with jealousy. Nobara and Itadori are sick of hearing about it. They’ve told him time and time again to just ask you out but he couldn’t. He couldn’t just ask you out, it had to be special. He had to know you felt the same, he didn’t want to embarrass you or make things awkward.
So instead he got stuck in a cycle. Of hanging out with you and blushing and crushing and being crushed when he’d see you giggling with Todo the next day.
After about three weeks of this cycle Megumi couldn’t take it anymore. He couldn’t think of you being with someone else. He wanted you so bad it was messing him up inside and out. He saw you across the courtyard one day and suddenly his feet were taking him to you. Todo was first to look up. He gave him a sharp look. Todo didn’t like him very well for stupid reasons Megumi didn’t care to think about anymore. You turned once you saw Todo’s face. Your face lit up, a smile overtaking your lips.
“Fushiguro,” You crooned, “Want to join us?” You asked. Megumi cleared his throat.
“Can we talk?” He asked and your brows raised slightly as you nodded your head. You excused yourself and jogged to catch up with Megumi who had wandered off a few feet away.
“Is everything okay?” You asked as you caught up with him. He had his head down, his hands stuffed inside his pocket, he looked almost nervous.
“Uh yeah, everything’s fine.” He mumbled quickly. He couldn’t look at you, he was so damn nervous. “I just- I was wondering,” he cleared his throat again. “Are you and Todo- uh, together?” For a moment you stared at him, processing his words.
“Together?” You echoed and he finally met your eyes. He was blushing, cheeks rosy red. And that’s when it all clicked together for you. The red cheeks, the hopeful look. You sucked in a breath. “Oh, Fushiguro.” You said and then couldn’t help but let a small laugh escape your lips. He looked tortured. “Are you jealous?” You asked and his eyes widened.
“What- of course not! I was just- I was asking.” He said all in one breath. You smiled up at him, his hair was a mess from him nervously running his hands through it. You reach up and run your fingers through it to smooth it out. He froze under your touch, like a deer in headlights.
“Todo and I are friends. In fact he’s like a brother.” You said but your words did nothing to ease his thumping heart. He was still nervous and the fact there was no romantic connection between you and Todo meant something that made his hands shake slightly.
“Oh, okay- that’s yeah- that’s good.” He stuttered. You smiled at his words.
“That’s good, huh?” You asked with a sly smile. He swallowed as he nodded his head. “Why’s that, Fushiguro?” Seeing him like this was a treat. Megumi was always very put together. Very stoic and calm. But right now you were making a mess of him in this courtyard.
“I just- well,” He scratched at the back of his head. “Todo’s not right for you. That’s why. I was just looking out for you.”
“Looking out for me, huh,” You smirked, you reached for his hands, he was trembling slightly. “That’s awful kind of you.” You say as your warm fingers meet his cold ones. “And what would be right for me?”
“Hmm?” He barely mumbled out, eyes locked to your hands on his.
“You said Todo’s not right for me, so what would be right?” You ask, thumb tracing circles in his palm. You were being very distracting on purpose. You liked Megumi and Todo had recently been coaching you on how to possibly get Megumi to confess. Most of his pointers were very direct so you took a few and decided to be sly.
“You need someone smart,” he starts out, it makes you laugh.
“Todo’s very smart.” You say and Megumi makes a face that makes you giggle. “Alright, so someone smart.”
“Uh huh, and patient,” he adds. You nod. “Someone who’s not a meathead.”
“You sound a bit judgmental, Fushiguro.” You jest, your teasing must’ve calmed the situation down because Megumi looked less nervous. His fingers interlock with yours, shocking you slightly.
“I am judgmental, I want the best for you.” He says and your heart skips a much needed beat. It was your turn to be nervous this time. “Todo’s not the best.“
“Then who is?” You ask and he looks at you with those pretty eyes.
“I am.” He says and something shifts in the air when he steps closer.
“Fushiguro,” you start, as his hand slides against your cheek, fingers brushing your hair behind your ear.
“Don’t you agree?” He asks huskily.
Gojo is the worst. He’s more jealous than any man you’ve ever known. A waiter will bring your food and smile, Gojo a moment later will say, “Your boyfriend is so nice.” Always stuff like that.
So one day you decide to play into it. Gojo has always been a little jealous of you and Nanami’s friendship. You two met in school, you couldn’t stand Gojo back then, you hung out with Nanami and Haibara.
You got early to a Jujutsu High meeting and instead of saving a seat for Gojo you sat beside Nanami. Gojo got there late and when you turned his eyes met yours and you just gave him a sly wink. After the meeting you hugged Nanami goodbye and walked over to your boyfriend. You could tell he was annoyed, you gave him a smile and a quick kiss on the cheek.
“That meeting ran long.”
“It sure did,” He pouted, following you out to the parking lot. “It would've gone faster if you had saved me a seat.”
“How would that make it go faster, Satoru?” He grabs you by the wrist, pulling you out of the hall and into a dark back room.
“We could’ve slipped away,” he whispers against your neck before pressing a kiss there. “Instead you chose to sit next to stuffy.” He trails kisses up your neck to your lips and presses his body against yours, pinning you to the door.
“That’s not nice.” You say slightly out of breath.
“That’s why I said it,” he mumbles against your lips.
Nanami sat straightening himself at his desk. He took in a deep breath and ran his hands through his hair. The deadline was creeping closer and closer and god dammit he couldn’t get ahead of this thing. He’d been working on this damn project for hours now. He reached up and loosened his tie, nearly taking it off. There's a soft knock on the door and you peek your head in.
“Sir, can I interrupt?” You asked and he looked up, he could feel his stress depleting just at the sight of you.
“Yes, of course.” He waves you in. You shoulder softly inside, a tray in your hands. You give him a soft smile as you set it down on his desk.
“I brought you your favorite sandwich, Sir, and some hot tea.” You say and Nanami can’t help but give you the smallest of smiles.
“You are an angel.” he says, pushing his keyboard out of the way. You go to slip out of his office. “Wait.” He asks, you stop turning back to him. He cuts his sandwich in half. “Have you eaten?” He asks as you glance at the sandwich then back to him, shaking your head. “Sit with me,” He offers. You walk across the room and sit opposite of him. He slides half a sandwich over to you and you smile at him.
“Thank you sir.” You say.
“Please, you can call me Nanami.” He says he's told you this a few times but he is your boss after all. You nodded your head, soft apologizing as you bit into your sandwich.
“Nanami,” There was another knock at the door. Nanami’s boss walked inside as you straightened. “How’s the project going?” He asked, his eagle eyes skimming along the curves of your body before looking at Nanami. Nanami saw the whole thing, saw the clammy uncomfortable look on your face. Nanami didn’t know this but the higher up boss was quite the ass, he constantly hit on you, never remembered your name and also never looked you in the eyes, he was always too busy checking you out.
“It’s going.” Nanami answered shortly. The boss walked a few steps in, cocking his head to the side.
“Take a break there, sweetheart?” He asked you as you went red, instantly embarrassed.
“Y/n, her name is Y/n. And I asked her to since she’s working overtime with me.” Nanami says coolly. The boss raises his brows, looking between the pair.
“Well don’t work her too hard there, Nanami.” He says, winking to you before exiting the room. You turn back but your appetite has gone slightly.
“Does he talk like that to you often?” He asks as you look down at your hands.
“It’s okay,” You say.
“It’s really not.” He says softly. You look up and meet his kind eyes. Usually when you went to HR about things like that you were ignored. You need the money and you liked working here, especially working for Nanami. He had a trusting deposition about him. You swallowed dryly.
“Yes, he talks like that to me all the time. It’s-- it’s not a big deal, I can put up with it.”
“I’ll take care of it.” He says simply, taking a sip of his tea.
“You’ll take care of it?” You ask as he gives you a nod.
“You don’t have to put up with anything, you're not some pretty thing for him to ogle.” He says and meets your eyes. You wonder if Nanami thought you were pretty before your mind realized how silly you were being. You cleared your throat.
“Thank you very much, Sir-- Nanami.” You said.
Nanami did take care of things. In fact you never saw that ignorant boss ever again. You also accidentally ran into him outside of work a few days after the big boss was fired. You waved at him, from across the bar. You didn’t know if it was inappropriate to share a drink outside of work but Nanami waved you over.
“I didn’t want to interrupt,” You said. “I just wanted to thank you for taking my side.”
“You're not interrupting.” He says, his voice warm like cinnamon whiskey in your stomach, something fluttering at the way he looks down at you. “I’m sorry I didn’t notice sooner.”
“You couldn’t have.” You say. “All that matters is he’s gone.” You say and he nods his head, raising a glass to that. You and Nanami spend the entire night talking and when it’s time for the last call he buys you one last drink and you two leave. He walks you back to your house and drapes his jacket over your shoulders, you two talk the entire way there. You get to your door and unlock it, holding it open. “Want to come in, warm up a bit? I could make some coffee?” You ask. Nanami leans on the door, he looks behind you like he is contemplating the pros and cons of coming into your house past midnight. You think for a second he’ll turn you down but then he pushes off the doorframe and nods his head. He brushes past you as you shut the door behind him. You fix him coffee and stay up talking with him until the sun starts to rise. You laugh when he gasps at his watch.
“Fuck,” He groans. “I have to work in forty-five minutes.” He pushes up from the table.
“Oh, shit, I’m so sorry.” You apologize, springing up from the table. “I can give you a ride.”
“You stay home, take the day off.” He says, reaching for his jacket.
“I can’t do that to you.” You say, reaching for your own coat but he catches you by the wrist, the contact shooting through your body.
“I want you to.” He says softly, your eyes locking. You can’t help it, you spent the night trying not to stare at his lips, trying to be very professional but dammit you weren’t perfect. Your eyes dipped to his lips as you cleared your throat.
“Maybe you should take the day off too.” You say and Nanami looks down at you with those searching eyes. You're standing right by the front door, the hallway never felt smaller between the two of you.
“And do what?” He asked, his voice husky. Your throat went dry.
“Well, you're already here so maybe have some breakfast.” You say, taking a half step closer to him.
“Thought you said you couldn’t cook?” He asked teasingly, taking a step closer to you.
“Eggs and bacon are fairly easy.” You whisper and reach across the small space to straighten his tie. His eyes follow your hands.
“It's hard to mess them up.” He whispers back, hands slowly sliding onto your waist, fingers dipping into your hips. You try very hard to hide your smirk.
“I could use some help,” You say, letting your fingers slide off his tie and around the back of his neck.
“Thank god I’m here then.” He says and dips his head down, you tilt your head and your lips meet.
You rushed forwards, shouldering through hospital doors. You race around the corner and scan the door numbers, searching for thirteen. You spot it at the end of the hall and pick up speed, tears pricking at the sides of your eyes as your hand meets the cold steel of the door handle. You wrench it open, you see Nanami first, he stands, hands in his pockets. You brush right past him and see Takuma. He’s sat up in the bed, awake, despite what the doctors told you on the phone. He has bandages across his torso and two cuts on his face. Fresh tears spring to your eyes as you rush to the bed and he opens his arms for you to fall into.
“I’m sorry,” He mumbles against the top of your head. He knows he scared you, that's why he’s apologizing. You knew nothing about the Jujutsu world, only bits that Takuma had told you, which is few and far between and also just really out of reach to understand. The only thing you did know was that Takuma came from most of his missions badly roughed up. You hated his job, it scared you shitless everytime he was gone and your phone would ring. You knew a lot of those sorcerers didn’t make it home after missions.
You sniffed, as Takuma wiped the tears from your face gently. This happens every time.
“I’m alright, I’m right here.” He spoke softly to you. A sort of mantra that calms you down. You pushed up slightly and pressed a kiss to his lips, your finger tracing a new scar down the side of his face. You turned to Nanami.
“Can we have a moment?” You asked and the blond man nodded his head, leaving the room.
“Honey,”
“Ino, I told you. I told you how much I hated this job of yours.” You start. “Do you know how fucking scared I was driving over here?” You were crying again, Takuma pulled you back into his chest.
“I know,” He sounded so guilty, so apologetic. “I told Nanami to let me call you, so you wouldn’t worry.” He said, kissing the top of your head.
“I hate this. That no good mentor of yours is gonna get you killed.” You grumbled.
“I thought you liked Nanami?” He asked as you pushed up slightly to be able to look at him. “Thought maybe you liked him even more than me.” You scoffed at that but when he didn’t laugh you realized he was a bit jealous.
“Ino, I am your girlfriend, we live together, I’m currently crying on top of you. I love you, not your stuffy mentor.”
“He’s not stuffy.” He says as you press a kiss to his lips.
“He’s not you either.” You say and Takuma can’t help but smile at that. “Is that why you’ve been working so much? Because you think I like Nanami more?”
“Maybe…” Takuma mumbles. Your hand slides against his jaw, running through his hair, fingers playing with the ends.
“That’s really cute, Ino.” You say as he throws an arm around your waist, tossing the blanket over you two. You kick off your shoes as he presses another kiss to the top of your head.
“Sorry, we're spending Christmas night in the hospital.” He says as he grabs the remote, clicking through channels.
“We spent your birthday and thanksgiving here too, it’s like our little tradition.” You say, knowing how macabre that sounded. He shuffled down a bit and pecked a kiss to your lips.
“I’ll get better, baby, I promise.” He promises as you turn to face him in the bed.
“I know you will. I have no doubt about that.” You say with a sure smile.

how jjk men react when they’re jealous
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐉𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒
Gojo. Geto. Sukuna. Nanami. Choso. Toji. Megumi. Itadori. Yuta.
◈ — 𝐆𝐎𝐉𝐎
His jealousy is a mixed emotion between amusement and annoyance. He'd make some jokes when he became jealous. “You shouldn't pay attention to this slob when you have the real deal here.” His pride would be the main factor in his reaction. He'd try hard to hide his jealousy but he'll also show it. When he's feeling petty, he'll make out with you in front of the person shamelessly, showing out his possessive side and showing off that you're already taken. Gojo also tends to be extra clingy towards you when he's feeling jealous. He'd want your undivided attention and he'd want to be around you more when he feels that way.
◈ — 𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐎
Geto would be rather calm when he's jealous. He'll still have a faint smile as he watches you intently as you interact with another person. But once the person gets close to you, you'll see the slight frown on his face. He smiled slyly before speaking loud enough for the other person to hear, “Be careful, love. Some people are good at hiding the fact that they're interested.” He'd give you a side glance, standing himself closer to you. Despite his jealousy, he trusts you and knows that you wouldn't pick the other guys over him.
◈ — 𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐔𝐍𝐀
Sukuna is the most possessive of them all. He'd be rather intense and almost aggressive if another guy came close to you and got your attention. You could tell that he's pissed off and annoyed by the way he frowns and cross his arms. He's spending his time with you and someone else got your attention? Unacceptable. He'd glare at him before growling, “The hell you looking at?” and wouldn't hesitate to hurt the other guy if he thought that they had other intentions with you. Then he'd grab you firmly but not enough to hurt you to walk away from the spot, “You're only mine, got it?”
◈ — 𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐈
If you'd been alone with the other guy for way too long, Nanami would raise a brow, wondering what exactly are you doing. He stays silent, letting you interact with the other person. After a while and checking his watch with a sigh, he'd think that's enough for you to spend time with this guy, before he approach you, placing a hand on your shoulder. He'd speak to you with a quiet tone into your ear, “Be careful getting friendly with other men. Especially when I'm not around. Who knows what other intentions they have.” He trusts you a lot and will try not to let his jealous side show even if deep inside he may be feeling like that. He's just being cautious, that's all.
◈ — 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐎
Choso isn't afraid of being jealous and would make it known when he feels that way. An annoyed look would appear very clearly on his face as he crossed his arms, giving the guy you're talking to a death glare as he stayed quiet. He watches the guy on full alert, trying to see any suspicious signs, even when he's not interested in the conversation, as he lets you continue to interact with the other person. He'd reach out a hand to hold yours the whole time until you're done. “Please stay close to me when we're outside and around strangers.” He trusts you enough to not let his emotions ruin the day but he'd be protective of you nonetheless.
◈ — 𝐓𝐎𝐉𝐈
Despite his laid-back and cool attitude, he does get very jealous when another guy tries to hit on you. He'll hide his annoyance with a smirk and dismissive gesture, giving the guy mocking remarks and attitude so relaxedly with an arm around your waist from behind. He leans closer to your ear, “Don't talk to him with that sweet tone of yours, darling. They're going to misunderstand your intentions.” He'd be protective of you and wouldn't appreciate you getting overly friendly with other guys. “Alright, that's enough talking. Nice to meet ya.” He pulls you away immediately, not wanting to entertain the person any longer.
◈ — 𝐌𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐈
He would be irritated but he'd try to hide his jealousy around you behind his calm expression even though there would be a slight furrow on his eyebrows. He'll be bored when you interact with the other person, his hands in his pocket, and would look around instead, trying to find something interesting to distract himself from the fact you're still talking with someone else. “Are you done? We still have somewhere else to go.” He pulls the edge of your clothes between his fingers gently. He's rather sulky afterward when he's being confronted by you, “I'm not jealous.” He answers shortly, ignoring the way his cheek would turn slightly red.
◈ — 𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐈
Itadori is the least jealous of the rest. He's protective of you but not at the point that he'll lash out. He'll show you his jealousy but not to the extent where you'd think he might confront someone else. “Oh? Is that so? Well, as long as you remember who you came with, I'm alright with it.” He's a positive guy who tries to not make a big deal out of something even when he feels jealous. He would feel rather left out though since the other person got your precious attention away from him. Be he fully trusts you with whoever you hang out with. He knows that you'll always pick him over whoever person you're interacting with. He'll be happy and forget right away that he was jealous once you give him the attention.
◈ — 𝐘𝐔𝐓𝐀
He would try to not feel too bothered even if deep down he's feeling jealous. He repeats the same thing to himself in his mind, “It's okay. Your lover is just being friendly. Yeah, it's okay.” He observes the guy you're talking to more than you since he trusts you but not the other person. His eyes would dart around, trying to not feel like he's eavesdropping, but he doesn't feel comfortable being the third wheel in this situation. He'll wait rather impatiently despite how he looks rather collected on the outside, squeezing your hand in his hold once in a while. “Oh, you're done? That's a relief. Let's go then.” He might overthink it for a while, but it's all good since he has you all to himself now.
Anon, how did you know this was in my draft? 🤨

YUUJI ITADORI’s whole family is in the movie business, but he’d only starred in minor roles before the directors were looking for someone to play the main character in Jujutsu Kaisen and his uncle Sukuna, who was already cast, recommended him and his brothers. Was quite psyched about dying his hair (because Kaori wouldn’t let him before) but he spent a hell of a long time having to learn fighting techniques and complained about the pain but definitely bulked up a little. One of the most social of the cast, he’s sort whose social media is bursting with photos of him on set, fellow actors and fans. And yes, real life Yuuji is just as clueless as his on-screen persona.
MEGUMI FUSHIGURO brought his actual dogs to filming - originally there were only supposed to be one Divine Dog but he didn’t want to bring one without the other. The stylists love him because they never have to do anything with his hair as it’s already naturally spiky and messy. He and Yuuji’s on-screen interactions are a hundred per cent genuine as they get on pretty well. Off-screen Megumi looks and acts emo as his character, but more playful and judgmental. Nobody knows or suspects it was actually him that stole Gojo’s sunglasses, Momo’s broomstick and Noritoshi’s arrows. As he’s the one with the most experience with filming, having played secondary rules in teenage TV series or a cameo in his dad’s movies, Yuuji and Nobara actually look up to him a lot but do not trust his “advice” for acting. Tsumiki was going to play a bigger role alongside Megumi but with other projects coming up she decided to just play his character’s sister.
NOBARA KUGISAKI is, on the contrary to character, a city girl. One thing she does share with her Jujutsu Kaisen character however is the impulsive urges to over shop but for exotic food. Nobara is the most Internet famous actors on set due to being a part time social influencer rating restaurants. A running joke amongst the cast is how Nobara arrived to the auditions: getting directions wrong for another audition, Resonance, and ending up at Jujutsu Kaisen but decided to ball and go along with it. Sadly she eventually decided to leave Jujutsu Kaisen for Resonance when they called her back so the directors had to kill off her character; everyone will deny it but they all cried during her leaving party. She still hangs out with the JJK cast though.
CHOSO KAMO is no stranger to the movie industry, having played a few cameos in movies like Wing King, Blood and Supernova or some ads; he was so hyped and proud when the directors announced not only would they be casting Yuuji as the main role but Eso and Kechizu would be voice acting he wouldn't stop crying or taking photos (he and Jin, actually). He had to grow his hair out for the role but after that decided to keep it long, delighting his mother and all his female co-stars as Choso's very okay with them playing or styling it. He's definitely the big brother to the entire cast, splitting up Nobara and Yuuji’s arguing, chasing after Megumi’s dogs and even trying to protect everyone from Gojo’s pranks. That scene where his character started sobbing at being called big bro? When asked how he pulled it off so realistically in an interview Choso admitted he just thought of when all his younger brothers started walking and crawled to him instead of their parents. Then proceeded to bawl his eyes out again.
GOJO SATORU is a doofus both off and on screen. Some joke he barely has to act at all, seeing as his behavior never changes, varying between entertaining the younger actors with his boasts of being the best sensei ever and impressions of past characters played in Infinity, Hollow Purple and Six Eyes or annoying all his co-stars by pretending he can’t see through the blindfold despite the thinness and bumping into everyone and everywhere. One of the first people cast in Jujutsu Kaisen, he “persuaded” the directors to also star his best friend Geto, claiming they had never ever ever done a project without each other before and wasn’t going to start now. Absolutely the sort to sign everybody’s autographs and wink at the ladies at fan events but a menace to reporters as he’d just shout “Teleporting!” and run off with his long ass legs ever since JJK started. In response to people grieving over the death of his character he only posted “They think its Gojover, I’m offended”.
GETO SUGURU was originally going to play a role on the good side - the role Nanami took, actually, before the directors decided he was better as Kenjaku and Gojo decided it would be funny if the both of them were enemies. Geto is looked up to by his younger co-stars (Gojo complains that it isn’t him) for support and advice due to his even longer experience in acting in Cursed Spirit and Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. The only time he’s ever caused trouble was when he somehow found a megaphone and nobody could stop him from shouting exaggerated instructions - “Sojo Gatoru, again!” “Punch harder, IIIITADORIIIII!” “Cleave! Cleave! I said cleave, Ryomen!” - at everyone currently acting. During an interview he said the only time he couldn’t stay in character was when Kenjaku popped open his brain; he was rather grossed out by the whole thing.
KENTO NANAMI’s makeup takes about as long as Sukuna’s and that’s because it takes forever to sharpen his face and cheekbones and is not actually a blond. Is as fed up with Gojo’s antics as he is on screen, but off-screen Kento is quite relaxed and the one to post a lot of those “I’m about to get ready for filming and you’re coming with me” tours behind the scenes. He’s one of those underrated actors who don’t get the main roles but whatever they do they do well - Kento only got his big hit in Seven to Three that led to his role in JJK. They had to retake his death scene many times since everyone couldn’t stay in character, sad that he would be leaving so soon; Kento joked about going to Malaysia after his role was done in Jujutsu Kaisen.
RYOMEN SUKUNA was one of the first the directors hired for Jujutsu Kaisen, thanks to his fame from his long acting as villains in Malevolent Shrine, Divine Flame and Disgraced One. He wasn’t too happy about dying his hair pink but the tattoos did grow on him over time, as did the habit of calling all his co-stars “brats”. He’s absolutely terrifying when filming but at most he’s just old-man cranky off screen; if you see any photos of the cast they uploaded on social media, he’s the one who’s always caught off-guard and face frozen in some scowl at being suddenly photographed. Also a complete dumbass when it comes to social media, so his account is pretty much handled by his brother and manager Jin Itadori or recently his nephew Yuuji.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟... || 𝐆𝐨𝐣𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐮 + 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨
Warning: Shibuya Arc Spoilers, Recent Manga Spoilers, heavy(?) angst, major death???
A/N: I heard "Scott Street" by Phoebe Bridgers from my sister's phone, and suddenly, it sparked something in me. I had to write angst. wrote this in one sitting today so it is not proofread!!
𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨
What if It was you instead of him who died by Mahito?
No. It was supposed to be him, not you. It shouldn’t be you. You stood in front of Mahito as his hand stretched into your chest. You were unresponsive, and he couldn’t move. He can’t bring himself to take a step. Take a step. Move. they’ll die.
Nothing. He studies your beat-up feature. Blood is trickling down your left hand as your right has been cut off. He notices your heavy breathing, yet no emotion can be seen in you. You stand in a pool of blood and multiple dead curses. Is this it? No. God, please don’t. You and Kento have been planning your wedding for months. Both of you were excited about the wedding, dreaming of the day that would come when he proposed to you. This shouldn’t end here.
Are you scared? It’s okay to be scared. I get scared too. But with you, I’m less scared. So– you can trust me. If you’re scared, run to him—He’ll make sure he’ll protect you. So, come to him, run to him. Please. He’ll promise to get you out of this hell hole alive—together.
“Y/N…” He sounds pathetic. His lips are trembling, tears threatening to leave his eyes. His grip was lost, trembling at the sight.
Then, you turned to him. He is a man who understands many things. He understands things easily. But this. His strained voice only manages to utter a single word. Why?
Why are you not scared? Why are you just standing there? Why aren’t you doing anything? Why are you smiling at him? Why? Why so suddenly? Why now? Why does it have to be you? Why are you smiling in the face of death? Stop it. Don’t smile. Run to him. You can rest. Rest with him.
Go to Malaysia with him. Live with him. You both planned to live in Malaysia after this. He suggested Kautan. Building a house on a secluded beach. Wake up early in the morning and stroll around the shore as the sun come up. Reading those book that has been collecting dust on the shelf. Cooking together, maybe even baking. Maybe in the holidays, you’d invite Yuuji and the others, even if he doesn’t want to.
Then maybe, if you want to, start a family. Maybe two kids, a girl, and a boy. Then, maybe adopt a dog—or a cat. He would love to see them grow up. Have their own lives, and not following the path you and Kento took.
The voice of Yuuji made him realize that this was the cruel reality he’s gonna live in, from now on. A life that isn’t worth living. He watched as you send him your final smile. Closing your eyes as you accepted your faith. He saw the tears. The tears you desperately hide. They flow without him wiping them away.
“Don’t be a stranger.”
Why does it have you? He wants you back. He doesn’t want to live in a cruel world where you aren’t here. It was simply worth living anymore.
𝐆𝐨𝐣𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐮
What if It was you Instead of Megumi who was taken by Sukuna?
He thought that after he left the prison realm, you were the first one to greet him. He thought that you’d be running into his arms, crying in his shirt, and punching him slightly for leaving you alone. He thought that you’d be smiling, saying “Welcome Back, Satoru.”
He thought that… you’d be safe.
He only then realizes the twisted and cruel reality he lives in as he teleported to where Kenjaku is, he saw you beside him. His six eyes already told him that Sukuna is possessing your body—but he didn’t want to believe it.
You were dressed in a robe that you never wore before. Your hair wasn’t in the style he is used to. Your nails suddenly have gotten sharper. Your eyes were now different. It wasn’t the same eyes that he grow to love. It wasn’t the same eyes that he love to stare at. It wasn’t the same. You weren’t there anymore. Behind those eyes, he can’t see a glimpse of you.
He pretended that he wasn’t affected by it. I didn’t care about them. It was a bitter lie that he want to throw up. Why did this happen?
He came back. He couldn’t stay looking at you— at least not right now.
Shoko, Ijichi, and Utahime stared at him as he sat on the hospital bed. They couldn’t help but sympathize with him, especially Shoko. He looks lost, almost as if he has hit rock bottom.
“...Why.”
None of them know why. But they knew you didn't deserve it. It shouldn’t be you. It was unfair to everyone. To him. To you.
The day that Satoru has to fight you– Sukuna, he pushed the thought away. This isn’t you right now. It’s Sukuna. He can save you. Of course, he can. He is the strongest anyway. Right?
Right?
Fighting you was hard, his emotions keep bubbling to the surface. He kept reminding himself that it wasn’t you. His sweet Y/N isn’t here right now, only Sukuna—
Just before he can make another Domain, he notices a stop in Sukuna. Sukuna gripped his head, groaning. As if he’s losing control. Immense curse energy leaked out. Suddenly, shadows appeared out of nowhere. Those shadows turned into hands and manage to cease Sukuna from moving.
“God damn it, Woman!”
He perked up. “Y/N?”
Then, another shadow appeared on Sukuna’s back. His eyes widen as he watched you appear in the shadow. He sees how exhausted you are. You are pushing your limit too much. He wished he wasn’t trapped in that stupid prison realm.
“I told you, didn’t I? I won’t let you win.”
“You aren’t strong enough.”
You turned to Satoru. And you smiled. Why? What are you planning? Why are you smiling? This isn’t good. He should do something—anything. What are you doing?
“Don’t be a stranger.”
Light overcomes his vision. Once he opened his vision. You weren’t there anymore. Sukuna wasn’t there anymore. No one was in front of him anymore but cherry blossom petals fell from the sky in the middle of November.
His heart hurts. why?

Hi! I've recently started following u since I'm a huge megumi stan and I absolutely love your art and your review on jjk. I would forever be grateful if you would give me your opinion on just one question. What do you think abt itadori's and megumi's, relationship do you think it is friendship, smth above friendship or just neutral?
hello!!! thank you for loving my art!! i appreciate it very much ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
as for itafushi, i think its something above 'friendship' and more like 'camaraderie' - coz i think characters who went through life or death situations multiple times together would just automatically have that kind of bond. but to be very honest! i wish we saw more of them outside of jujutsuing some kaisen, just because i would have loved to see that bond develop outside of fights. because it seems we only ever just see the result of that bond and never the actual bond, if im making any sense? but i still do think they're probably what you might call 'platonic soulmates' with how quickly they both mutually trusted each other.
in the beginning i wasnt really convinced about their 'friendship' coz it just came out of nowhere that megumi wants to save this kid he just met. granted, he did saw yuji go back to save his friends meaning yuji is a good kid - still that was sukuna ryomen megumi was letting reincarnate just coz he wanna save one person.
but what made me like their friendship a little better was that moment before the start of the goodwill event when megumi noticed something was bothering yuji. no one else noticed that, and yuji wanted to brush it off like its nothing. but one look from megumi and he admitted there was something actually - but that its okay now. i think thats cute that they can sense when something is bothering the other, even though they only knew eachother for a few days.
and on more moments after that, they seem to understand each other really well. like, the fact that sukuna's reincarnation was the cause of all those random curses awakening/getting stronger and both of them not wanting the other to know coz they dont want to hurt each other. or when yuta was trying to convince yuji that it wasnt his fault back in shibuya but yuji wouldnt accept it - but when megumi came in he accepted megumi's words and understood it. they have a very special bond where they mutually have an understanding, and i think that's very cute.
with that said though, i wish gege could've given us more moments of them all together - including nobara - because on the surface it looks like they're all just acquaintances who didnt have much time to get to know each other enough for their bond to be called friendship. although i do think they have a strong camaraderie, i wish their bond as first year students was shown a lot better - especially since we saw them meeting for the first time. for example, with gojo and geto - we dont need to see them gradually getting to know each other because we as the readers saw them for the first time when they're already friends. but with itafushi, we needed more time to see them gradually be friends. but what happened was, these characters strengthening these bonds behind the scenes, and every time we see them we are only seeing the result of that.
i dont know if im making any sense, but gege seems to struggle with writing character relationships that he actually have to show the audience - this is more noticeable with how he handled tsumiki and megumi's relationship. gege relies too much on us just thinking 'oh, maybe they bonded while we weren't looking' or something like that. imo, gege seems to not know how ((or does not want)) to show characters gradually being friends, coz its either some kind of sense of duty (megumi) or its some memory thats forced upon these characters (todo and choso), just so the characters can jump from strangers to bestfriends/brothers from the get go.
i think i rambled way too much and made zero sense, but what i wanna say is that i believe that yuji and megumi's bond is something that's above friendship - and is a very strong sense of camaraderie and responsibility for each other. and while i did see it, i just wish gege showed that a lot better and made the strangers to comrades to friends transition a whole lot visible.
((i couldnt articulate my thoughts in a more concise manner (ᵕ—ᴗ—) sorry if its confusing (ó﹏ò。)))

Hey Neighbor
Part one
Part two
Don't be a stranger
Those 4 words rattled in your brain as the days and weeks passed. You kept busy (and subtly avoided toji) by finishing up moving in and picking up a job at the local bookstore. The hours weren’t great but it kept you away from your house and your neighbor. Yes, you felt kinda shitty. He was only trying to be nice. But the look on his face as he purred, “Don’t be a stranger” with a smirk on his face made you ten times more intimidated by him. I can NOT get involved with him…wait he probably didn’t even mean it like that… I’m looking too much into it…still…no not I can’t do it. I don’t know him and he has a child I’m sure he’s not even interested. These thoughts consumed you.
As much as you tried to avoid confrontation with toji, it was practically impossible seeing as your houses were so near. Luckily, the interactions were in passing, a quick wave. A smile from you…a smug grin from toji. It seems Mewsy wasn’t one to avoid them, you would catch her strolling across the yard between your houses when Megumi and Toji would arrive home in the evenings. Megumi would light up and giggle as she'd once again perform her act of rolling around.
Although you avoid one one-on-one confrontation with Toji, you don't avoid…looking at him… especially when he is outside with the garage door open, music blaring as he does pull-ups in his make-shift gym. Sweat streams down his rippled abs that contract with each heavy breath. It makes your mouth go dry. God, what it would be like to lick up those chiseled muscles, to cling on to those broad shoulders as he'd thrust— stop no bad bad bad, you scold yourself every time you started fantasizing, shaking your head as if it was an etch-a-sketch and could erase the images.
You knew you couldn’t avoid him forever, the time would come that you would have to speak to him…and this evening seemed to be just that day. As you sit on your porch reading your book, Mewsy on your lap, you hear that sensuous voice that makes your knees quake.
“Hey, neighbor.” toji stands at the bottom of your front porch steps. Megumi toddling up the stairs, excitedly, “Y/N!,” he climbs onto the wicker lover seat with you, Mewsy perking up and stretching.
“Megs,” toji sighs, shaking his head. “You have to wait to be invited onto a girl's porch, son.”
“It's fine,” you say, patting megumi's leg as he settles beside you like.
“How’ve you been,” toji asks, shoving his hands in his pocket. “Not seen ya much. You avoiding me?”
Shit! Was I that obvious?
“Oh…n–no just been trying to work as much as possible,” you stammer, wringing your hands in your lap.
“I see, “ toji responds.
“Yeah…” god, you wanted a hole to swallow you up, he clearly wasn’t convinced. “You can come sit if you want.” you try to change the subject.
“Nah, we gotta get going I'm about to drop him off at my boss’s house while I run some errands out of town .”
What kind of boss watched their employee’s kids? You didn’t know it you were relieved or bummed that he couldn’t stay.
“Ohh, dad let’s stay with y/n pleaseeee,” Megumi whined.
“No bud we gotta go,” Toji replied firmly.
“But Shiu’s house is so BORING, UGH” he groans.
“Ugh,” toji mocks. “You’re not even a teenager and already giving me such attitude.”
You can’t help but laugh at the back and forth, how similar the two were, how good of a father Toji seems to be….what a dilf.
“Blah blah blah,” Megumi teases, causing you to laugh harder.
“For real, Megs we gotta go. It won’t be for long. I promise.” Toji says.
Megumi starts groaning, “But I wanna stay with y/n.”
“Im sure y/n has things to do.”
Megumi curls his little arms around yours, clinging to you.
“I don’t mind,” you suggest. “He can stay.”
“YAY!” Megumi cheers.
“Y/N you don’t have to. I don’t want you to think I came over here just to drop him off on you,” toji stammers, clearly thrown off by your offer.
You shrug. “I don’t have anything else to do. I’ve babysat before. As long as you trust me with him.”
“Well,” toji sighs, running his hand through his messy hair. “AS long as you ok with it. I won’t be back til after dark.”
“Thats fine,” you assure.
Toji stalks up the porch steps, squatting in front of Megumi on the seat beside you. “Listen you, little man. Behave for y/n. I mean it. Do what she tells you to do.”
“Ugh ok dad,” megumi rolls his eyes.
“Again with the bratty attitude,” Toji sighs standing up before leaning forward, bracing one hand on the back of the seat by your face to kiss his son’s forehead. “Love you.”
You swallow at the closeness, his scent dancing around you. Pure male a hint of aftershave. He reaches into his pocket, handing you a set of keys.
“Here’s the house keys. It’ll be after his dinner before I get back and I doubt you have the right kinda dinosaur chicken nuggets for him to eat.” Toji laughs. “His bedtime is 9, but nothing strict.”
“OK,” you say. “Uhm what’s your number in case I need to contact you.”
“Ha, so this how I get your number, huh? My son. Jeez, he’s got more game than me.” he shakes his head, getting his phone out and swapping numbers with you.
“I’ll text when I’m on my way back. Thanks for this,” he says as he makes his way off the porch towards his car parked on the side of the street.
“Bye daddy!” megumi wave.
You both watch as he speeds away.
“So what do you wanna do megs,” you ask.
“Let's have fun!!!” he shouts.

associated songs (jjk) !
features: yuuji i. megumi f. nobara k. yuuta o. maki z. toge i. satoru g. suguru g. toji f. kento n. sukuna r. choso k.
contents: manga spoilers. some fanon because not everything has been revealed yet. song headcanons. character analysis. angst. tw because jjk lore is fucked up. strong language. megumi, yuuta, gojo, and geto favoritism. sukuna's part is a lot of reaching because we know nothing about his backstory. 3.4k words.
yuuji itadori is working for the knife by mitski. this song shows yuuji's change in character during the shibuya arc, how nothing goes his way any longer and his will is worn thin again and again. "i cry at the start of every movie, i guess'cause i wish i was making things too" this shows yuuji's passion to make a life for himself, to make something that will last in this world beyond death, his grandfather's dying wish. "i always knew the world moves on, i just didn't know it would go without me" with this we can see yuuji's desperation to catch up to people like megumi and nobara but the world passes him by over and over again (ex. cursed womb, junpei). "i start the day high and it ends so low 'cause i'm working for the knife" yuuji goes into everything with hope and positivity but it often ends up with him losing something or feeling some sort of grief, his heart is broken over and over again by jujutsu. "i always thought the choice was mine, and i was right, but i just chose wrong" this resembles yuuji's choice to absorb sukuna, something he thought ws his descision and only something he could do. but when sukuna merges with megumi he is forced to consider whether he made the right choice and he acknowledges that he is not the only one who can do such. "i start the day lying and end with the truth, that i'm dying for the knife".
megumi fushiguro is who are you, really by mikky ekko. this song shows megumi's evolution as a character from a quiet boy to a true sorcerer (see: domain expansion discovery, shibuya). "so you feel entitled to a sense of control, and make decisions you think are your own" with this we can see megumi's attitude of superiority towards yuuji at the beginning of the series, and his general attitude towards his peers until his development. he feels that due to his long running experience and power, along with his intelligence, that these people are below him. "you are a stranger here, why have you come?" with this we can see megumi's hesitance to trust anybody, especially new people. this applies later in shibuya where he is unwilling to trust the incarnated toji (at the time, the correct decision), which ends up with his father recognizing him and killing himself to avoid hurting his son any longer. "who, who are you really? and where are you going?" megumi really has no sense of self for a decent chunk before shibuya, he is kind of just there. he has a personality but he does not have a reason for being like all of his peers do, he does not know who he is or what he wishes to do, he's just doing it to do it. "i have nothing left to prove, 'cause i have nothing left to lose, see me bear my teeth for you" in this we can encapsulate his development when he discovers chimera shadow garden. it's messy and last ditch, he has nothing left to lose and no one to prove himself to so he throws t all on a desperate attempt to try to create something truly for anf of himself, it's as messy as it is true. and it is what sets the path to allow megumi to define himself.
nobara kugisaki is primadonna by marina and the diamonds. this song shows nobara's materialistic nature and her confident personality as well as her more complex backstory. "all i ever wanted was the world" with this we can show her past, when all she wants is to spend time with saori, which at the time is her entire world. "would you do anything for me? buy a big diamond ring for me?" with this we can see the more materialistic sides of her personality, which all come from her humble upbringing in that little town. "i know i've go a big ego, i really don't know why it's such a big deal though" this resembles nobara's more confident side, where she is really proud of who she is and often cannot understand why others are not (see: the situation between her and momo about mai). "fill the void with celluloid. take a picture, i'm with the boys" nobara hides her sadness by living it up, because she wants to be able to go to saori and tell her about all the amazing things she did. she doesn't want saori to feel bad for leaving her, she wants to find her and then they can have fun just like they did when they were children, fun in the way that they couldn't have back in that country town..
yuuta okkotsu is little dark age by mgmt. this song helps show yuuta's greif at rika's death and his transformation into a sorcerer. "the ruins of the day, painted with a scar" this represents how yuuta never truly got over rika's death, the scar being her curse, something that he carved but will never leave him.. "and the more i straighten out, the less i want to try" as yuuta goes through his life, rika wreaks havoc unintentionally, making him give up on ever living a normal life again: rather isolating himself in misery or straight up trying to kill himself instead. "oh-oh, forgiving who you are, for what you stand to gain" yuuta harnesses rika's power and temporarily is able to control her cruse in order to gain power when he needs it. but it is not whole and complete and is done quite selfishly, rika has not gotten peace yet. "just know that if you hide, it doesn't go away" yuuta tries to supress rika for so long rather than embracing her and this just ends up making things worse for him, even when he tries to hide her by channeling her power into a sword it is not anywhere near his peak after he releases rika from the curse in his fight against geto. "oh-oh, i grieve in stereo, the stereo sounds strange" in yuuta's grief he creates the curse that rika is. unintentionally he curses this little girl and keeps her soul with him for nearly a decade after death, blaming her the entire time when he was the one who chained her soul to himself. eventually she finds peace and is able to pass on, but yuuta will forever be left with this constant reminder of his dead, first love and it is the source of all of his power. to give up and move on would be to relinquish what gives him strength, so he's trapped in this loophole of grief to keep the flame of his strength alive, never able to give himself the closure he gave her.
maki zen'in is oh no by marina and the diamonds. this song shows maki's development and past almost seamlessly, it also shows her parallels with toji well. "don't need money, don't need fame, i just wanna make a change" this shows how maki is not a sorcerer for the money or regard, but to change things. she just wants to change the jujutsu world, specifically the zen'ins so that there can be a place for her and mai to be safe. "i know exactly what i want and who i want to be" maki does not question who she is and her goals despite constant shame and ridicule by her clan, and eventually her own sister, she stays true to herself through it all. "i'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy" maki ends up nearly dying at the hands of a curse and she emerges changed. eventually she realizes her strength at the cost of her sisters life (will be more explained later) and fulfills the gap that toji left behind, fully embracing his legacy. "'cause i feel like i'm the worst, so i always act like i'm the best" maki's aloof persona is brought on as a way to cope with always being shut out and put down, she acts like she's better than everyone because all her life she was told she was below everyone. "if you are not very careful, your possessions will possess you" maki's sister sacrifices herself in an attempt to save maki and perfectly recreates toji's famous weapon out of her body. maki uses this sword and slaughters nearly the entire zen'in clan. he rage takes her over and she becomes more of a possession of violence for that period.
toge inumaki is soap by melanie martinez. this song shows how toge must constantly think about what he says and how when he does not it can be catastrophic. "guess i better wash my mouth out with soap" we can take this literally and think that all the words inumaki is able to say are always so negative, like he is constantly telling cursed to kill themselves pretty much (see: blast away, explode, get crushed). "i'm tried of being careful, tip-toe, trying to keep the water warm" it must be so emotionally and mentally taxing to constantly watch what you're saying like inumaki has to constantly. think about wanting to say something so desperately but you can't, or if nobody could ever understand you again. he can never truly talk and express himself vocally without risking hurting somebody or himself. "i feel it coming out my throat, guess i better wash my mouth out with soap" with this we can see the pain that comes with inumaki from just speaking, like his power makes him. just one simple word can destroy his throat. "god, i wish i never spoke, now i gotta was my mouth out with soap" in assumption, if inumaki ever accidentally spoke without thinking, he would feel such an insurmountable guilt. it's something as simple as a word and he is able to cause so much pain, it would make anyone hesitant to ever speak again. inumaki's power is such a double edged sword in its effectiveness and ease of use, it effects his every day life where he can never have experiences that all his friends do so easily.
satoru gojo is seventeen by marina and the diamonds. this song encapsulates his character and his development pretty well. i saw this on tiktok (can't remember the user) and i agree wholeheartedly. the chorus is especially compliant to his character."i felt you question the way-ay i was brought up as a baby" this can exemplify the effect that the six eyes and limitless had on his childhood, because he can never have an experience that is comparable to any other person. "could never tell you what happened the day i turned seventeen" his arc for s2 is when he is seventeen, including everything that happens with suguru. "the rise of a king, and the fall of a queen" this resembles satoru and suguru's relationship, as gojo climbs and becomes the strongest; suguru falls to the burden of his curse and his ideals. in the end, gojo becomes the strongest and suguru 'falls from grace' in that he becomes a curse user. the song fits him well beyond the chorus as well. "oh, you were embarrassed if me 'cause i used my tongue freely" this is an example of how, despite being the pillar of it, gojo constantly brings shame to the higher-ups with his attitude, especially in his younger years. "no, no i'm not your little slave, no i don't twist and turn that way" this also shows his relationship with the higher-ups in how he so vehemently hates being a pawn for these people that he hates, how he is used as some weapon. i could go on and on about this song and gojo but i'll cut it off so there isn't too apparent favoritism.
suguru geto is my old man by mac demarco. this song shows suguru's change into the very thing he hates. how he loses all of his morals, which were the only things that truly kept him sane, and becomes the one thing he vowed to never become. "look in the mirror, who do you see? someone familiar, but surely, not me" we can see the struggle that he goes through as he changes, as we saw with his physicality in the manga. as his entire worldview shifts drastically he and everyone he knows no longer recognizes him, he becomes a different person. "but it just can't be. look at all the steps that brought you where you are today" we can see suguru questioning his entire life up until that point in this. we see the struggle he goes through as he so desperately tries to cling onto the shreds of his morals that he once held so highly on a pedestal. "as a heart grows stronger, sometimes love is pushed away" this resembles his relationship with satoru, in that as geto and suguru are finding themselves, they become distant and lose each other in the process. "oh, no, looks like i'm seeing more of my old man in me" this shows suguru slowly recognizing that he is falling apart at the seams. he is seeing all the things he once hated in himself, he is becoming the once thing he vowed to never become, and he is losing everything he held dear all at the same time..
toji fushiguro is oh no by marina and the diamonds. this song shows his struggle with being born as a non-sorcerer within one of the big three families. "want it fast, want it hard" in a literal sense we can take this onto toji's physicality, he is extremely fast and extremely strong, something he was able to achieve unlike any other human of this world, something that the sorcerers that looked down on him could not. "i'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy" this can exemplify toji's unraveling during his fight after gojo resuscitates, how he gives in to the feeling that he pushed back, how he feels fear for the first time, how he feared dying and actually dies. "if you are not very careful, your possessions will possess you" toji's unwillingness to back down and his will to fight drives him to his death in his battle with gojo as he loses at the one thing he is good at. "tv taught me how to feel, now real life has no appeal" in this, we can see just how dull toji is when he is not in battle, how he blows all his money gambling without a care, because he does not truly wish to be alive. "i'm gonna live, i'm gonna fly. i'm gonna fail, i'm gonna die" again, in a literal sense, we can apply this to the difference between his two battles with gojo, how he is so haughty at the first but unravels in sight of his demise at the second. toji's convoluted character is describe soundly in this song.
kento nanami is nobody by mitski. this song represents nanami's despondence for society and most people, despite this he just wants to live a normal life, the life yu haibara deserved to have lived. "my god, i'm so lonely" after haibara's death nanami didn't really have anybody to lean on, he was the only person who truly understood him, so he leaves the jujutsu world to try to live the normal life that his best friend deserved. "venus, planet of love, was destroyed by global warming. did it's people want too much too?" nanami's life is destroyed by sonething that should not happen to children, so he becomes obsessed with not letting other kids (yuuji) experience similar tragedies, because there was no adult there for him. "guess i'm a coward, i just want to feel alright" nanami wishes to be happy and normal, he wants to work so he can retire and live a long carefree life. a life away from jujutsu sorcery and it's despondency, but he eventually winds right back in that world, saving someone just like him. "and i know no one will save me" nanami is incredibly at peace with the concept of dying, so he does not expect to be save , he does not hope for salvation (see: mahito domain, and when he actually dies). nanami lived a life where he never truly healed, he never truly had someone by his side that understood him, that person died in yu haibara over a decade ago.
sukuna ryomen is the fruits by paris paloma. this song represents sukuna's identity as the original curse, but it also incorporates some of his past as a sorcerer and his past with uraume. "i have no time for confession, for i'm too busy committing sins" sukuna does not acknowledges the travesties that he has committed, because he simply does too many of them to be able to remember. "'angel' he calls me, does he know that i'm failing from a precipice that i tripped of long ago?" uraume worships and serves sukuna despite his horrible acts and his terrible personality. but does he know that sukuna was once the very thing they fight against, that he was once a sorcerer, that his fate as a sorcerer lead him down this path as the kind of curses. "for if i'm going down, i guess i'll take you with me" sukuna is the kind of person to drag someone down with him. urarume stays with him even beyond death, helping to aid him once he revives because he truly trusts and believes that sukuna will return. "i feel your lips kissing my feet, but even so, oh! oh, call me a devil" sukuna was worshiped during his time on the earth, yet so many people despised him and called him a monster despite claiming to have him as their deity. even when he was in complete power there were still people praying on his downfall despite claiming to be praying to him..
choso is fish in a birdcage by fish in a birdcage. this song helps to explain choso's relationship with his brothers and the value he places upon them and eventually yuuji. "my brother always sings me songs, with his beak he tries to soothe me, he makes me feel that i belong" choso and his brother makes each other feel whole. they make each other feel normal when they are truly the only beings like each other in the world the only half human half curses to ever exist. "so carry me from these walls, brother of mine, show me the world outside" choso feels the duty to free all of his brothers from their cursed wombs, to fee them from their imprisonment. he wishes to show them a life they can truly life, a happy life (see: picnic scene where he thinks yuuji is his brother). "i'm counting on you, to be my wings and my eyes" him and his brothers agreed to fully rely on each other, they vow to protect one another no matter what, they trust each other wholly. "you gave me more than i could ask for, indistinguishability" once his brothers leave this world, he feels nothing but grief. but when he becomes deluded that yuuji too is his brother, he cannot help but feel so grateful to have another chance to protect his baby brother, a chance of redemption. maybe yuuji really is his brother, is his mother was kenjaku's vessel and noritoshi kamo (he old one) was also his vessel, they would be sort of related.

omg is the new ff typical family related? cause lawd is reader okay??? 😭 does she need a hug??? 😭😭 what about their baby? they were baby making last chapters no?? (unless i missed a chapter) ngl satoru is one of, if not my first, comfort character. i’ve never felt so connected to character, it’s his soul, his personality, like yes he’s pretty and hot asf but that’s just a bonus, he’s just too good for this world. so for gege to play him like that… i’m not okay 🫠
we should riot.
um. technically. i am NOT making anything beyond megumi at 14 canon until at least jjk is actually over. i trust nothing.
of course she needs a hug. and she’ll take it from anyone—strangers are welcome.
yeah, the sort of goofy characters with the most interesting powers/dynamics to them are the best. especially because with gojo in specific i think a lot of people can relate to him (even if it’s just like… oh i have blue eyes too).
you start and i will gladly follow

(spoilers of JJk chapter 210)
I absolutely agree with after reading the chapter! Yuji’s feelings are so understandable! Why would he trust her and why should he even apologize? Especially after everything he’s been through. She literally has the intention of killing him. And why is Megumi so persistent on him apologizing saying “you better”.
And Hana already is pissing me off. And it’s just Megumi being on her side rather than Yuji’s is just what makes me even more mad. Like Megumi…why are you defending a complete stranger and telling your best friend to apologize and be nicer. YUJI HAS ALWAYS BEEN NICE TO EVERYONE SINCE THE BEGINNING AND ALMOST EVERYONE TOOK HIS KINDNESS AND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THAT USING IT AGAINST HIM. And that Yuji thought of Nobara in that moment broke my heart. I’m still in denial that Nobara is actually dead, I refuse to believe that 😭
Now that the chapter has been officially published, I can finally reply to this :) Yes exactly!! Megumi seemed so OOC to me in this chapter.
Spoilers for JJK chapter 210
I couldn't believe what I was reading. Why does he talk to Yuuji like that and demand he apologizes to Hana? Megumi usually isn't the type to trust a stranger. And he KNOWS that Hana and Angel would try to kill Yuuji if they knew that he is Sukuna's vessel. So yeah, of course, Yuuji is reluctant to be all friendly with Hana. Idk but this change in Megumi's behavior bothers me a lot. I could always count on Megumi's intelligence and also on his love for Yuuji. I don't get why he is suddenly on Hana's side.
I saw people agree with Megumi that Yuuji is the one who changed, but I don't see it that way at all. Yuuji is still the hero, still the selfless man who wants to save as many people as possible. Of course, he wants to save the soldiers. And of course, he gets mad at Hana and Angel for saying they don't want to do that because they don't benefit from it. Also, yes I am still laughing about Hana being like, "oh I want to be a good person, so I deserve to be at Megumi's side," but then telling Yuuji, it's useless to save all those people. Lmaooo. I hate her so much aaahhhh!!
In my opinion, Megumi is the one who shows untypical behavior in this chapter, and it worries me A LOT!! "Let fate toy with you and die a fool." Yes, I think he is on the way to this ending if he trusts Hana, and he will get Yuuji killed on the way :( I think Hana is this "fate" and she is definitely toying with Megumi and turning him against Yuuji. I am irritated af because it really doesn't make sense. Megumi used to always be on Yuuji's side. He cares about Yuuji. He literally keeps saving Yuuji's life over and over again! So why would he suddenly act this way? I hope there will be an explanation in the next chapter! Hopefully, this is part of some plan Megumi has to trick Hana and Angel!!
And awww yes Yuuji is such a sweet guy, thinking about Nobara!! I also still have hope that she will come back!

Hellsite Nostalgia Tour 2023 Day 306
Stranger in a Strange Land
“Stranger in a Strange Land”
Plot Description: Sam coordinates efforts to search for his brother. Jack struggles to adapt to life as a human. Castiel tries to get more intel on Dean from a demon
Would I Survive the First Five Minutes??: Nope. If the archangel Michael came to me and threatened me with the question of what I want, I’d also say peace and love. And he would also kill me for the times in my life where I did not exhibit the desire for those things
I love how alive and bustling the bunker is with the apocalypse world refugees
Sam is WAY overworking himself. You’re not good, kiddo
Really? Castiel spent like two seasons palling around with Crowley, and you think he wouldn’t consult with some lower level demon? (Hey, what’s goin on with the power vacuum in hell? Lucifer is dead, Crowley is dead, and all the princes of hell are also dead as far as I know. So is it just chaos down there now?)
“How did you lose Dean? I thought you two were joined at the…everything” 👀 this demon though
Ah fuck nooooooo. Cas got ambushed. Everyone in this restaurant is apparently a demon, and he’s getting his ass handed to him
Oh, Jo’s back on the sort of grifting.
I was right about Michael last time. Not only is he Bella Swan of spn but he still fucking sucks. I miss Dean
Sam getting to be big brotherly is actually really sweet. He had a good role model for that growing up and with his own experiences with losing powers and his own empathy
Oh. Fuck. How?? How is Nick (Lucifer’s vessel this whole time) not dead?! I don’t super trust this…despite seeing the wing imprint when Luci died
Ooooo Sam’s gonna be at his wits end soon. He just got Mary and Jack back, lost Dean, and now that demon is threatening Cas
Sam is the opposite of Shanks (from one piece. Sorry, Mary. You’re learning things about one piece tonight.) Shanks wouldn’t put a kid (Luffy) in danger just because the kid said they’re ready. Sam believes Jack needs this (going on the mission to save Castiel). “Better a disappointed kid now than a dead one later.”
Did this…did this demon get visited by Michael? And he’s still alive?! He just said someone asked him what he wanted. That’s what Michael has been asking everyone
Ok. This guy wants to rule hell now. Omg. He’s trying so hard to be Crowley A Bit To the Left and FAILING. It’s embarrassing watching him, honestly. Do you know what’s even funnier? Watching him try to intimidate Sam while being pretty much a full head shorter…Crowley could have, but this guy ain’t got the jennies (certain je ne sais quoi). It was too much, calling everyone darling every five seconds
When did Jack learn parkour?? (Megumi also recently learned parkour…maybe they learned together because I don’t know where she got it either)
Not to ship Jack and Maggie because they’re practically the only two teens in this whole group and he’s pretty protective of her, but I do want to see him form genuine bonds with people outside the Winchester family
Well, they’re goes that demon’s plan to rule hell. Why does Sam think he can dictate whether or not there will be a king of hell??
I’m glad Sam and Cas can be open and honest with each other
Apocalypse World Bobby, are you gonna fuck Sam and Dean’s mom??
“You did well” “all I did was get punched in the face” “to be fair, we all got punched in the face” conversations between Cas and Jack never disappoint
Why does grace regenerate now? When Metatron took Cas’s it was just GONE. Is it an archangel thing? A nephilim thing? An archangel sired nephilim thing? A plot hole??
I don’t trust this call, and not just because it’s from an unknown number (though Sam probably shouldn’t answer those either) oh, it’s Jo
Is Michael teaming up with monsters?? That’s terrible and yet…it’s intriguing at least. It’s probably the most interesting thing he’s done

Okay, so my thoughts (or rather ramblings)
People in the comments answered this too, but I also think if Ryoko went with Sara instead of Joe she would have similar role and organisation took into account possibility of dragging her into the game, it's just that Joe was the one who stayed with Sara. I also think that Sara seriously underestimated her attachment to Joe, and he is her precious friend
Keiji and Megumi not having same trials to Sara&Joe and other pairs is probably specifically because they are both candidates, thus they need a different trial. Plus, in their case their relationship was way worse then candidate&non-candidate, I doubt they trusted each other. As to why three pairs have the exact same trial, they all have similar purpose: to check the trust and quick thinking. If "Kanna's trial was rigged" is correct Kanna can also compare herself to others who had same conditions and blame herself more
I think Q-taro's trial was meant to hinder his trust a lot. Sure, he wasn't in danger at first, but if someone saw him planting cards, what were Q-taro's chances? He'd be accused of being with kidnappers and likely voted out as traitor (actually, Shin did see him but decided to not push it during the first main game, blackmailing him afterwards instead). Q-taro specifically could be chosen to test his steath skills while risking to break his bonds with the others as Q-taro is a team player. So I think that Asunaro totally could do it themselves but they decided to sow additional distrust among participants
Alice and Hinako both aren't very enthusiastic about their survival (it's not very prominent with Alice, but it feels like his only goal is to atone and reconcile with Reko. He doesn't really think about his own goal in life), so maybe if they cooperated they would boost each other. Plus, Hinako could act like a little sister Alice wants to protect. Other than that, no clue
As they were total strangers, their situation is different from anyone else and thus a special trial. Plus, this peculiarity of not knowing each other is only enhanced by the fact that they don't see each other, it was meant to be impersonal. Maybe kidnappers gave Alice a chance to acquire a friend if he was willing to work with total stranger (because Hinako wouldn't just leave, she doesn't want to live). Or else he shoulders the guilt of the real killing
Q-taro was under risk after putting cards, so technically his not deadly trial could have terrible consequences, even though they are not immediate. Shin's situation was so bad they probably gave him "easy" start as equaliser. Plus, if he felt suicidal he could've cut himself with paper shredder. Keiji's trial isn't fully known so maybe he and Megumi had to battle for the right to stay safe (not really a possibility but otherwise it's super unfair to Megumi). As for Joe and Nao, honestly I have no idea. The only explanation I can come up with is that they could give away their key and then it would be up to candidates to save them (Sara can actually tell Joe "give me the key" but it does not work out). Nothing else suggests it though , and it would probably be difficult to give away the key without dropping it. This contradicts my own thoughts about Kanna because in this case she wouldn't be guaranteed to survive, it would be up to Kugie to decide to either give the key or not. Maybe if it really happened, then Kugie would always give Kanna the key because she would want to keep her sister safe and the rest is known. But out of pair at least one was supposed to live, yeah (unless they dropped the key and couldn't reach it). Also, I've never heard anything about six people but if everyone died in the first trial it would be kinda lame
If non-candidates couldn't give away their keys, I have no idea. This is extremely dumb. Maybe they were so sure that Joe and Nao would succeed? Plus, this would make them form even closer bonds with Sara and Mishima respectively, ensuring that Sara stays "weakened" and Mishima "empowered". Or it's a test of "are Sara and Mishima capable of giving instructions under pressure?" In this case candidates' skills are checked, which matches other trials, even though the skills means to control actions of other person (even though Sara didn't control anything). Still prioritises lives of non-canditates though
If we follow the idea that Kanna couldn't whittle the key, maybe it was already just the same as whittled keys of others. If not, then it's simply a lucky coincidence
No idea whatsoever about the gallery
MORE still-unanswered questions I have
Part 1
Why was Joe Sara's handicap?? Why not Ryoko?? When we first meet him, Sara literally just calls him a classmate; like… not even a friend
Why did all the candidates that were close to a non-candidate have the same exact trial?? And why didn't Keiji and Megumi have it as well?? If they just gave Keiji the key, they would've still ended up bein in a similar situation to the one that happened
Why was Q-taro's first trial helping in setting up the Death Game?? I mean... did they really find it that fuckin hard, to literally just place one single box, and like four cards?? And why Q-taro??
Why were Alice and Hinako kinda "partnered together", in their first trial?? In all the other trials that included two people, these two people actually knew each other from before, but, as far as we're currently aware, anyways, Alice and Hinako didn't
On the topic of Alice and Hinako's first trial... first of all, similar to my previous point about Megumi and Keiji, why didn't they also have the same two-person trial?? But also... why were they in two different rooms, only able to hear the other person, but not see them??
Why were some people (namely, Joe, Nao, Kanna, Q-taro, Keiji, and Shin) guaranteed to survive their first trials?? (I vaguely remember reading something, somewhere, at some point in time, about how six people's the required minimum for a death game, but... I'm not sure if that's actually canon or not, first of all, but also, even if it is canon... why those six?? Like... specifically)
Related to the above point... Joe and Nao are non-candidates, right?? At least for Nao, she wasn't supposed to survive for as long as she did, which is why Gashu gave her the Sacrifice in the first place... so why make sure two non-candidates survive their first trial?? Especially at the risk of possibly losing not one, but two candidates
Why did Kanna's unwhittled key work on the box?? I've seen at least a couple people (shoutout to @rosehippiefield for bringing it to my attention) think Kanna's first trial was rigged, and Kugie was never meant to survive it, which is why there was no sandpaper in their trial room, but then... did they just happen to, coincidentally, put the different key in the different lock on the first try??
Why were only some deaths (Joe's, Megumi's, Kai's, Hinako's, Nao's, and Kugie's) depicted in the gallery?? And, again, why those ones??
MasterList
#I hope at least half of what I wrote is understandable sorry if it's not#I don't even agree with many of my “answers” but I don't know how to explain it otherwise#Also thanks for mentioning me!#I wanted to reblog this post before but my battery percentage was nearing Shin's survival chance

Megumi Fushiguro | Headcannons
m.list
A/N: Im an anime watcher for this series and i havent finished s1 yet lmao bare with me
CW: not proofread, fluff
As cannonly stated, this man doesn't give a double-doggystyle damn what you look like
so long as your personality attracts him, thats what counts and i very much agree with him
Megumi would be a little awkward and timid at first, poor boy is too scared he'll scare you away
So please, be patient, cuz he's gonna ask a fuck ton of questions and stare at you a lot
worry not though, he just want to know you real good so he can spoil you later and see that beautiful smile that makes his heart flutter
if he sees your gaze linger on something at the store, he will find a way to buy it for you
Expect flowers on occasion, or chocolates. It's not too often he gives them, but he makes up by giving you fun little charms and trinkets every now and then. Anything he thinks you will like
Again, on the gift giving end it is not an everyday thing. His affection is mostly shown through touch or words.
And hes an introvert so he'll be touching you a lot, if you don't mind
Anything from back hugs, holding your hand or keeping your head gently cradled on his shoulder
hes not rlly a pda guy, especially because all his friends and his teacher are annoying as shit and Megumi has even less patience with them if their teasing is directed at you
only if it bothers you, if you dont mind or even enjoy it he wont mind either, unless their stealing you attention for too long
Megumi is protective, not in a controlling way but more of a motherly concern.
The annoying one sometimes, he always makes sure you have your phone charged, on, and that you carry protection with you if you sre not a sorcerer.
Fushiguro has both abandonment issues and enemies in the world of curses do he worries a lot if you go out quite far from him for long periods of time.
Though he'll make sure his check-ins are every so often, he doesn't want to annoy you to the point you leave him even if he sometimes overthinks everything
Which brings me to my next point, once your at a point where is really comfortable with you
you need to give him lots of reassures :(
Fushiguro is no stranger to loss, he loves you so much he fears one day he wont be with you anymore
So please, excuse the days where he wanders into your room, and quietly asks for your assistance in destroying his stupid thoughts
he trusts you, he really does, but he trusts you do much he fears for you
When he gets like this or if you need it, he'll give you snuggles and kisses and snacks and whatever you want.
He doesn't admit it often but he enjoys feeling your warmth against his, feeling like your safe and comfy and content makes him happy
Your happiness is his, and without you he wouldn't know what to do now. You complete him and for as long as you allow him, please, let him protect and love you
As he only means to show you, to the best og his abilities how precious you are to his little soul

Dating Dad! Toji- Part 4
Meeting Uncle Gojo
Note: This fanart inspired this part. Credits to the artist: @/octomahk on ig :)
This part turned out to be really underwhelming. I had something else in my mind but I ended up writing something else. So, sorry if this was a bleh chapter.
Link to Previous Parts- Part 1. Part 2. Part 3.
*******
Toji would be out shopping for some groceries with Baby ‘Gumi. The only reason he even took this responsibility upon himself is that he was bored, at least that’s what he said. He’d be commuting home from the store and meet this crackhead white-haired stranger on the bus.
Even though he is an assassin and used to a lot of weird things, watching this lanky 6 feet something giant making silly faces at Baby ‘Gumi was probably the most disturbing thing he had ever witnessed.
“Babe. You are not going to believe what happened! I think I am traumatised for the rest of my life” He yells out as soon as he is through the front door.
You waltz up to him and quickly undo the straps across his chest and take Baby ‘Gumi in your hands.
“What are you talking about? What happened?”
“There was this weird dude on the bus. He kept making faces at Megumi and-” and before he could continue, you hear a loud shriek from behind you.
“IS THAT HIM?! IS THAT MEGUMI??” Gojo yells strutting down the hallway.
“I MET HIM ON THE BUS”
Yeah, Gojo is having a mental breakdown right about now.
He takes Baby ‘Gumi from your hands and disappears down the hall, cooing and gushing over the little squish of sweetness, without sparing a glance at you or Toji.
You look back at Toji and this is the first time you think this man is about to cry.
“WHO- WHAT THE FUCK?! THAT’S THE CRACKHEAD I SAW ON THE BUS! I-... DID HE FOLLOW US HERE?!” He whisper-yells at you. Poor thing is more confused than ever.
“Calm down. He’s my brother. Besides, if he followed you here then how would he reach here way before you?” You point out, leaning up to kiss him on the cheek and taking the bags from his hands.
He stands there dumbfounded for the next 2 minutes. He is not used to having people over at his house. I mean, what was he supposed to do? Talk?
Gojo hasn’t left Baby ‘Gumi alone since he took him in his arms, and Baby ‘Gumi seemed to enjoy Gojo’s company. More than Toji would like.
You and Toji were sitting on the couch, with Gojo and Megumi across the room on the floor, playing.
Toji’s gaze hadn’t left Gojo and every time Gojo did something to make Baby ‘Gumi laugh, you could feel Toji twitch beside you.
“Y/N-chan, I have to say, he is cuter than you when you were a baby!”
Amidst all this, Baby ‘Gumi turns and crawls to where you were with the toy that Gojo just gave him, which basically shatters Gojo’s heart.
After a long day of Gojo entertaining Baby ‘Gumi and Toji on the verge of strangling Gojo in his living room, you finally put a tired Megumi to sleep in his cradle.
You walk into the living room to see Gojo and Toji in a death stare contest with each other. You don’t know who looks more intimidating.
“The only reason I’m not killing you is that you’re Y/N’s brother and Megumi seemed to like you.” Toji states.
“The only reason I’M not killing you is because Y/N likes you for some bizarre reason… and maybe because of Megumi”
I think it’d be safe to assume that Gojo and Toji will not hesitate each other’s throats out.
But, at least these two clowns are trying to be civil for your and Baby ‘Gumi’s sake.
Best believe, Gojo will probably buy an apartment just down the hall because HE. DOES. NOT. LIKE. TOJI. Or trust him one bit.
He’d claim that he didn’t know the apartment his agent sold him just happened to be in the same building and on the same floor as where Toji and you live. But all three of you know that it’s nothing but big stinkin’ bullshit.
Toji has a stronger urge to strangle Gojo now lmao.
Big Brother Gojo has my heart.

ITADORI YUJI — it's not that yuji doesn't care, but he's just so… casual about it?? he sees you pick up another letter on your desk and he's like "oh cool, another one?" bro. what. idk why but himbo yuji<3 just popped into my head if he catches your secret admirer placing the letters on your desk, it'll be a complete accident like nanami's. yuji will just tell them - "hey, you know that's my s/o's desk, right?" SO plainly and casually LOL, might even ask if they want him to pass on the letter to you, yuji. baby. ..however! if at any point you've expressed that you really don't like these letters or just feel uncomfortable because of them, yuji will go out of his way to stop it - he cares about your feelings more than anything. i don't see yuji as a jealous or insecure person, and plus, he thinks his s/o's beautiful, he obviously knew other people would see and feel the same way. again, at the end of the day, all he cares about in this scenario is your feelings.
FUSHIGURO MEGUMI — pissed. who the hell sends love letters to someone with a boyfriend already?? okay, maybe you and megumi weren't the most lovey-dovey couple around others, especially strangers, and maybe only a few close friends actually knew of your relationship, but, still! megumi will see the letter and ask "what is that?" with a lowkey disgusted look on his face KDSGHG he can get pretty jealous sometimes too, you're his s/o, so why is someone else calling you the light of their life? not that he can blame them it becomes pretty obvious after a while that these letters are clearly bothering megumi more than just being (as he puts it) "a pain." and then you realise that megumi probably definitely needs some reassurance and a little a lot more extra affection. i can see megumi deciding to wait early by the lockers to catch the piece of sh- the person who'd been leaving the letters. he's not in middle school anymore, so he wouldn't beat the shit out of them, but he would give them a few words and a glare that makes their knees tremble.
GOJO SATORU — does not care. this man not only has an ego, but he also trusts you (aw. ig). in all honestly he might will even mock the letters LOL (rip mf who sent them </3) he doesn't get particularly jealous, but if the letters keep coming over and over he will get a little annoyed,, like yuji, if you every express any discomfort because of the letters, he will make it his mission to find whoever's doing it, and will do so very easily. gojo would probably catch them off guard right as they're about to put the letter down, only to snatch it out of their hands before it even grazes the surface. he makes a show of flipping it around in his hand a couple of times with a teasing smirk, most likely towering over them. he'll very kindly tell the person to basically fuck off and respect your relationship - to which they listen! nono, of course, it didn't have to do anything with gojo whispering a couple of harmless threats! obviously. gojo again, could get annoyed with it overtime, but he'll only really make a move if you don't like it.
NANAMI KENTO — nanami lets out a scoff when you two come back from your lunch break, seeing an envelope on your work desk with your name neatly written on the front. nanami isn't bothered at first to be honest. i mean, you're both dating, what's there to worry about? he isn't insecure about the way those stupid letters are able to convey the same feelings he feels for you, only more poetic and beautiful, a sure way to make anyone swoon… okay. maybe he was a little insecure. one day he's making his way to your desk so you could eat together on your lunch break, only to see someone who very much wasn't you there, carefully placing an envelope just like all the other ones on top of your paperwork. nanami doesn't hesitate to walk over, and firmly grip them by the shoulder, giving them a hard glare as a warning sign - "in case you didn't know, they’re my s/o and we i don't appreciate your letters. please don't send any more." nanami says it politely, but that dangerous glint in his eye is obvious to anyone within a 10-mile-radius. you're just glad to see your boyfriend finally stop pouting and stop receiving those letters.
INUMAKI TOGE — SO annoyed. inumaki and you are the annoying pda couple mostly due to him, everyone knows you're dating! so why the hell is someone sending you love letters? inumaki thinks about tearing it up but he's not that mean - until he actually decides to read this specific letter along with you, where they for some reason decide to mention that they'd be so much better for you than inumaki could, and he literally growls. one; this means that they DID indeed know about your relationship and still continued to send the letters, and two; what the hell did they think they knew about your relationship? inumaki does indeed tear up the letter this time, chucking it into a nearby bin as he immediately nuzzles into you in the middle of the hallway, glaring at anyone who looks at you for longer than half a second, despite you scolding him for his actions. the cowering junior that watches from the end of the hallway decides to quickly stash the letter they were holding into their pockets, realising that inumaki isn't as sweet and feeble as he looks.
YOSHINO JUNPEI — gets worried and insecure - especially if he reads the letters. it's obvious this isn't some sort of prank or a silly crush, not with the things written in the letter and the way they'd been showing up continually for a couple of weeks now, what if you finally realised that you deserved better? junpei i am literally in love with u. you clearly notice the way junpei's mood totally deflates each time you're getting ready to walk home together, only for another envelope to fall out of your shoe locker when you open it - this time, however, the letter is short and to the point - "please meet me behind the gym after school." his heart literally drops into his ass when you tell him you're going to go meet them, and he waits patiently by your locker, figuring out the best way to hold his tears back when you eventually come back and tell him its all over . ...only when you do come back, junpei is left utterly confused when you link your arms together, immediately resuming the conversation beforehand like you'd never even left. you notice his sudden silence and ask him what's wrong, to which he responds - "aren't you going to dump me?" - which obviously then in turn confuses you. junpei admits to all his insecurities and fears and you immediately take him into your arms, reassuring him that you'd only gone to politely turn them down, telling them that you already had the perfect boyfriend.
ill give u a kiss goodnight if u reblog <3

No need to apologize--I suspected that you weren't trying to change my mind, but wanted to make my understanding clear. Thank you for keeping mind of your demeanor, though. I'm no stranger to dealing with people who are genuinely combative, lmao.
Oh, absolutely. In a way, Megumi being his natural vessel is perfect, because they both have a tendency to think they know better than everyone else around them; but Megumi is a kid growing into his place in the world and discovering who he is, surrounded by people that care about him (Tsumiki, Gojo, Yuji, and Nobara, among others). Sukuna, meanwhile, acts like he's a twenty-something who hasn't had his worldview shaken, and because of his power, hasn't had to do any real soul-searching/self-evaluation. For the first time in a millennia, at least, someone he can't (or won't¹) be rid of so easily is holding him accountable.
Also, as for Uraume...they definitely come off as an enabler, and while Sukuna does seem genuinely glad to have them in his life, it's unclear how much Uraume has impacted Sukuna's psyche. Going over the dialogue in 245, it looks like Uraume does genuinely believe in Sukuna's Right of the Strong ideology, though. Particularly, Uraume notes that "Sorcerers today" are different, valuing their "humanity" over strength, or at least letting their "fear of alienation" decide how they fight. This directly contrasts them against 'Sorcerers of the past', and is a small hint towards what Sukuna and Uraume may have been used to. Personally, I'd love to get more elaboration on what Jujutsu society was like back then, during the "Golden Age of Curses". Did Sorcerers of the Past fight with less restraint due to choice, or due to circumstance? Both Sukuna and Uraume may not be used to people who have either that choice, or that compassion. Certainly, Yuji pisses them both off, lmao.
I absolutely agree that Sukuna being so powerful has meant that he's never been appropriately challenged--unlike Megumi, he hasn't yet (given what we know as of 248) been forced to face the repercussions of his actions (Megumi lost his autonomy and failed to stop his sister and his legal guardian's murders because he didn't trust Yuji's perspective)...except for Yuji's continued existence, which has caused him to have foes who won't leave him alone, and especially, to start finally examining his sense of self and philosophies. It's not necessarily that he deluded himself into thinking he was right in choosing power's solitude, but that he's never given real weight to opposing viewpoints and the values of others. Still waiting to read the officially-translated version of 248, so I can't reference exact dialogue, but Sukuna notes that he'd never considered the dying words of other Sorcerers as more than fearful babbling. Until Yuji, he hasn't been forced to consider that someone may not only have ideals worth living and dying for, but also that someone he considers 'weak' could foster a reality of their ideals.
I've written about Kashimo and 238 before, and definitely, I don't think Kashimo truly believed in what Sukuna told him. I think he died dissatisfied, but having realized the source of his dissatisfaction, whereas Sukuna dismissed his dissatisfaction with a much more self-centered outlook. Sukuna seems to correctly peg that Kashimo wanted to treat others with care, but fails to really engage with why Kashimo would want that. Hell, when Kashimo asks Sukuna if he's satisfied, and why he would bother "...divid[ing] his soul and cross[ing] the ages as Cursed Objects...", Sukuna dodges the question. We know now that he sees life as time to kill before his death, which he may not even have as a Curse (except by an opponent able to kill him), but doesn't answer for that part, and instead chooses to focus on how he doesn't need to be satisfied by anyone else. Unlike Kashimo. But then, I don't think Sukuna espousing his beliefs there really has anything to do with Kashimo at all--it's another form of self-justification. In all of his fights, Sukuna seeks to belittle his opponents' beliefs and ideals, and impress upon them that His Way Is The Real Way. That's true for Yorozu, who he believes to be little more than a useful annoyance²; Gojo, whom Sukuna treated as a waste for caring for his students; Kashimo, treated like some 'poor, silly bastard' who just doesn't get that you don't need others to be happy; and so on, with Higuruma and now Yuji. Yuji unsettles him like no other, because none of Sukuna's usual bullshit makes a difference in how Yuji regards him.
Constantly, Sukuna acts as if he'll break if he doesn't re-affirm himself; whereas Yuji refuses to break, and adapts to whatever life throws at him. Yuji won't give up his 'heart'³, and will re-evaluate his beliefs when challenged, like in the interview with Principal Yaga and directly after Sukuna used him to commit mass-murder. Note how he talks about being a "cog" against Mahito and then Hakari. It's not a healthy philosophy. But what Yuji is doing is confronting the realities of what he wishes to achieve and his role in making his ideals reality. He is lessening his own self-importance and actively working with others. Sukuna is ultimately too self-absorbed and without purpose for him to consider doing this. Really, he struggles with comprehending not just the how, but the why of Yuji doing this. That's why Sukuna is so put-off when trying to figure out why he's getting so bothered by Yuji existing.
In a weird way, Mahito had a better understanding of himself than Sukuna ever has after the story's start. He knew what he wanted from Yuji, and why he was obsessed. What he didn't understand was Yuji: Yuji's steadfast nature, the people whose support Yuji has gained, and that Yuji had the will to pick himself back up, with said support. Mahito knew that he could put Yuji under enough pressure to nearly shatter, but he underestimated--or simply didn't understand--the devotion and support that Yuji receives from others could help him keep going. And to that end, Mahito failed to consider the monster he was creating.
Sukuna, too, has failed to consider that he's made his own worst enemy. Though whether that's Yuji or Sukuna himself has yet to be seen.
¹Sukuna absolutely COULD have killed Yuji earlier, but keeps pushing this off, for whatever reason. Most notably, when Uraume offers to kill Yuji after 212 (like 213 or 214). It might actually be a really bad idea for him to do so, given as their souls used to be "combined" and no one's quite sure what the ramifications are for that yet, but Sukuna hasn't given any indication that he was even thinking of that until 248. Even then, he hasn't fully thought through it. There's a real sense that Sukuna is keeping Yuji around for reasons even he isn't sure of.
²And as I've joked to my friends, got mad that she practically called him an incel. He's still bothered by her supposed misunderstanding of him, well after her death, and seeks to prove...a dead woman he didn't care about wrong? So much for Mister "I've never needed anyone to satisfy me."
³I'm specifically referencing the discussions of 'heart' that Mahito had with Junpei, and Junpei's breakdown to Yuji over how he can't accept that humans have 'heart', given how that would mean that someone with 'heart' hurt him and killed his mother.
I'm gonna be waiting for the full translation of 248 with a fake calm. Inside, there will be bite and kill energy.
Looking at the preliminary info, Sukuna straight-up admits he has no ambitions, which was all but outright-stated in 238. More than anything, this is why he's become so lame to me. How the fuck can you criticize someone else's choices for what they strive for (Yuji wanting to protect people, for instance), when you have nothing to work towards? Mans has no upward momentum, since he only cares about the present.
