I like aspec Castiel in a kind of angel way. Like, he's not always connected to his vessel as HIS body, but there are times when he experiences strong reactions to desires of his borrowed flesh nonetheless. And whether or not angel emotion differs from human emotion for a fallen angel, Castiel has a lot of passion for the closer relationships he develops.

When that passion bubbles up, he's learned from Sam and Dean (and the pizza guy!) how to show his feelings. Kissing is especially pleasing. His experiences with sex as an angel are largely explorative and eye opening re: symbiosis with his vessel, but he finds more gratification in satisfying his partner.

IMO Meg's "put up or shut up" was a flirt that regularly led to her getting off.

After his human time, Cas has more of a connection to his vessel as his body, and likes to examine human experiences more, even when he has grace again.

This is my favorite Castiel to learn about romance by watching Sam and Dean be domestic, and want to experience romance with Sam also. Aspec!Sastiel get up to So Many Things.

So because of personal identity stuff I tend to be more interested in aro readings than ace readings, and spn in particular scratches my aspec itch so well with Dean (he is just so clearly aro) that I didn't spent much time thinking about ace readings. So since it's ace week, I'd love to hear your ace(spec) headcanons 💜

The other reason I think Hellers need to believe that the "confession" needs to be addressed is that they insist Castiel "came out as gay" in that speech even though he did no such thing. So they want Cas to be openly gay in obvious ways in a revival because "they can't just put him back in the closet."

The thing is, for a long time, Heller fandoming has felt less like enjoyment of the show and more like desperately wanting to WIN some zero-sum competition with other fans. I think part of why they insist that Cas is gay as indisputable, textual, canon fact is because that makes it homophobic to have other readings of him like headcanoning him as asexual/not experiencing love in a human way or shipping him in a m/f ship (you should see how they treat Megstiel shippers!) It's about claiming him as THEIRS, in service to their ship, and taking him away from other fans.

If there's a revival and Cas is in it and not their "gay angel," they'll claim it's censorship or erasure when the fact is he was never gay in the first place. Saying "I love you" to another man ≠ coming out as gay. Coming out as gay = saying "I'm gay."

I don't really have anything much to add to this because I agree completely on all points. Whatever it may have started as, it has very much turned into prioritizing needing to "win" and "own" the characters, the show, and the fandom for hellers. I know they've been awful to Megstiel shippers and I don't even recognize the versions of Dean or Castiel their meta involves, because they're not allowed to have any thoughts or motivations in their heads that doesn't link back to wanting to have gay sex with each other. Even any theoretical writing of the ship into the canon actually being done remotely well doesn't seem to matter to them at this point - so long as it happens someway, somehow to give them the "win".

I don't like it when people categorize Sam as simply the 'bookish nerd' cause I feel like that takes away so much of his personality. Yeah he reads a lot of lore of the hunts but its his job and I'm not saying he hates it but that shouldn't be what he's defined as (also Dean is NOT the dumb sibling both of them are very intelligent idiots)

I personally headcanon cas as pansexual because first of all Cas I'm a megstiel AND and destiel shipper and with Dean he fell in love with his soul first because that's how he could perceive dean by if that makes sense (but I'm aware gay is an umbrella term)

Rowena brings so much to the show and is great BUT usually I have a harder time sympathizing with her especially regarding Crowley because she was such a terrible mother and yes girlboss slay but also we can acknowledge she irreversibly fucked up Crowley

Midam is really the only canon ship on here (helped by Jake Abel confirming lol). And maybe Megstiel too (when she was alive--mostly thanks to episode 8x17).

I used to be a gay Cas truther for the longest time (with a side of Megstiel is dyke4fag) but I have come over to the bi Cas side... being like gay Dean/bi Cas person I think is definitely a Type of Guy on SPN tumblr but what can you do when both are so true...

I'm kind of a multishipper and willing to entertain pretty much anything so I guess this is more the meaning of "don't ship" in the sense I don't think about it much. I am not very interested in Dean ships with women but I have to say DeanLisa (evil) is a real distinguished sicko's choice and I respect that tremendously.

Hmm. Well, currently it is kind of my only artistic outlet. I like fanfic porn for it's opportunity to explore the more fringe erotical. I am having a lot of fun trying to explore interesting characters and weird worldbuilding through porn and also figuring out what makes written word sexy to read.

Also it's just, a fun thing to do and a good place to meet new people. And also terrible people but as I'm aging I'm having more success ignoring the latter.

I found your account through a mutual of mine. They sent the ximboland posts to me and I thought it was funny. Ximbo sam is a confirmed wincestie. From what I know about MOJ Dean he probably thought that it would be funny as hell to marry Ximbo Sam. Afaik Dean ships megstiel but started the malewife Castiel bit because people kept asking about him on his profile. I don’t think he ships wincest as he has said in private server that “they argue about supernatural ships respectfully and talk about headcanons”.
