rereading the liveblogs in 2021 is really fucking surreal because

we literally finished writing the restoration probably weeks before meghan markle and prince harry even MET, and the plot of the restoration is literally bilbo cracking under the pressure of being a foreign royal consort (death threats! anti-hobbit sentiments! depression! being betrayed By The Institution!) and peacing out for the shire (and thorin chasing after him)

thorin’s entire experience in the prisons of mirkwood is an entire 2020 mood

the subplot of thorin hiding bilbo’s ring and bilbo basically ghosting him afterwards is... um. the plot of the next big fic i wrote after these liveblogs

Admittedly I'm easy to please I appreciate the ezra namedrops

I do not however buy that sabine wouldn't show up at a ceremony for Ezra's home world. Yay for Jai Kell being a senator I love that for him, but what is the reason for sabine being awol. Sixteen year old Sabine would do the "drives away with cool music on her headphones" bit but an adult Sabine with all the development of rebels and beyond??? Fucking weird.
