HEXES ON THE SHELVES Chapter 1 cover is finally finished.

Last month I released the first chapter of my OC fic (which you can read here) and before that I mentioned that I wanted to do a title card type of art for it.

After 5 different drawings who got into different levels of progress this idea was the one that ended up sticking with me (it's actually based on version 4)

The drawing itself is based on a certain scene that happens more or less during the middle of the book...

Also HUGE thanks to my friend @meggs-newman for helping me with the angle for the background, as well as serving as a consultant during for the drawing during various parts of it. He's not that active on Tumblr but do check his Instagram.

General interests-

I post and draw a lot of warrior cats mainly because of nostalgia and I like doing character designs for it, but its moreso my just default interest. I stopped reading the series midway through avos and don’t have a lot of interest continuing.

My “central fandoms” that I’m more passionate about overall is Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Twin Peaks so you’re going to see that on this page. Dennis is my favorite iaisp character and Cooper is my favorite twin peaks character (in relation to tags, I tagged twin peaks as “twink peks” as a joke and now all my twin peaks stuff is under that because I’m lazy.

Other things I love a lot are Mission Hill, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Home Movies, Dinosaurs tv show from the 90s, Megg Mogg and Owl, some other things. I just don’t post about these a lot because there is such a nonexistent fandom for some of these lol. But I still love these a lot and like to talk about them sometimes.

🍓 - how did you get into writing fanfiction? 

That... is a very good question. I've been reading and writing for as long as I can remember, and I'm not really sure how it started! As early as elementary school, I was reading books and writing my own stories based off them, usually involving OCs.

I didn't know what I was doing was fanfiction, I just wanted to write!

I also wrote a lot of poetry, a lot of original writing, and passed back and forth notebooks RPing with friends.

Give me people taking minor characters and making them their own any day! I love Canons, and I love Canon characters who are basically an OC of theirs. And just, the way she's created Ran to be their own is amazing. And now I get a chance to write with Megg too and we do on her sideblog as well. Its just so much fun ^^ I love this entire fandom.

oh, god, where to i begin. what a pleasure it is to be known in such a way.

first of all, i adore being remembered for little quirks reserved for my personal friendships on discord-- the emoji i use for my name, ocs i've kept semi-private, my tendency to send reaction images of my cat when the time arises-- because it reminds me there's a net positive to sticking around tumblr. i have made some wonderful friends here. especially you.

as for my works and involvement in fandom... 🤭 what a way to be clocked! it's crazy that i started my writing blog for the sole purpose of trying to connect with the tiny collar x malice fandom. then i got into obey me (rip) then twst, ikevil, lads, and other assorted fandoms... and all of my favs that have lingered from each franchise. i will gladly be known as riddle stannie #47 or Boyfriend Ruggie Truther. being a jude or sasazuka fucker.... welp, that's the legacy i've created for myself 🫣 love me a problematic asshole LOL

i had an old murder mystery story where they were boyfriends (megg being the investigator and shiloh being the guy who got absolutely fucking shot and turned into a ghost) and now it's a tired ass college student three weeks away from graduating (megg) and a demon he summoned trying to get a date (shiloh)

I'm Emma/Moss A 21 y/o non binary mess from birmingham, England.

I'm a student currently studying illustration at Birmingham city uni. I have no idea what I want to do in my future but I love surrealism, comedy and I have a terrible range of music taste. Obviously the mighty boosh is a huge inspiration for me and Mr Noel Fielding is my adrogynous art god (don't get me started on mr barratt, I adore that man with every fiber of my being) ((I am also desperately in love with alice Lowe and Richard ayoade from garthmarenghi, another surreal fav)) (((basically I'm in love with most people)))

My work is definitely a broad range of multi media because I can't seem to focus in on one area!

On tumblr I mostly just post my guilty pleasure mighty boosh fanart because those lads are my go to when I don't know what to draw. The interactions I've had with our little boosh fandom have been some of the nicest I've ever had online, so thank y'all for being so cool ❤️🐊

On Instagram I upload a lot of random stuff, but I have two OC universes currently in the works: the first is a huge sci-fi comedy epic (think hitchhiker's guide and Dr who lol but with even more gay) featuring a space lesbian romance, a tiny robot superweapon, and immortal timeless jazz musicians!

(here are some bad examples)

The second is a Birmingham based comedy called cryptid chaos, involving a lazy substance abusing pest control team (think Simon hanselmann's megg mogg and owl meets ghost busters) run by a depressed demon and an clueless alien trying (and failing) to pass as a human. The plan for this was ultimately to be a multimedia show but obviously I am just one very broke student, so I'm currently uploading some very bad comics (with a couple of boosh references if you look carefully ;) )
