Social Tribes in Auckland City

I wanted to do some research into what social tribes there are in Auckland City. (Groups of people who are primarily brought together as strangers):

AUT Offgrid Hiking Club – I am an executive in this club but anyone can join us for hiking trips (not just AUT students). We see a lot of new faces and it almost feels like a tribe where new social friend groups are developed. 

Tribe – My mum is part of an older persons walking group. The leader of the group forms tribes across Auckland and these strangers in the local community catch up for walks, go to restaurants and connect. It is mostly a Womens/Mums group. 

Nike Run Club – This app offers training tips, a virtual runner community, route tracking and expert coaching. However, I do not believe people can meetup through the app. 

Megarun Sundays – This is a Facebook group I am apart of but have not joined for a run. They host weekly running events every Sunday and meet new faces and cater to all abilities.

Amazing Rally Footage of our Porsche Macan GTS on Megarun

As you may have seen on our social media accounts, Vivid Racing took part in the Megarun Road Rally in May 2019. In the past, we’ve used our 991 GT3RS as our rally car, but for Megarun we decided to use our Macan GTS. To prepare for the event, we gave the Macan a Martini livery wrap thanks to the guys at Five18 Designs.

We chose the iconic Martini livery to make our Macan stand out and look like a proper road rally car. We also equipped it with a Thule roof rack equipped with four Hella rally lights which were powered by a remote battery in one of the antique ammo cans. The roof rack is highly functional, but for our purposes wanted to unique look.

We knew the event would likely have a lot of fast cars and the stock output of 340HP just wasn’t going to cut it. If we wanted to keep up with the pack, we needed a major power boost, which came in the form of our VR Tuned ECU Flash and an Armytrix exhaust system. With the tune and exhaust installed, our Macan was pushing over 400HP and had enough power to keep up with the pack.

Lowering the factory air ride suspension with some lowering links, our Macan GTS sat nicely on a set of Rotiform LSR 3-piece 21 inch wheels. Combined with the Martini livery, our Macan looked completely different from any other Macan on the road!

What makes this edit amazing is the Shotover Camera footage from the guys at Tempt Media who have been involved in many YouTube greats from BJ Baldwin’s Recoil video to Lake Havasu boat race, Desert Storm. Shotover camera systems with all equipment can run over $400,000! Be sure to check out the video below!

OK NEW AU ALERT!!

IK THIS IS LIKE THE THIRD AU I MADE THIS MONTH BUT I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE

I’m combining the two things I'm most hyper fixated on right now: Deltarune (specifically chapter two) and MMRS.

now I said some things about this on my last post, I’m just gonna say a bit more cause I have lots of brain rot

Rock as Kris- Cause Rock is the main character in Megaman, i just found it fitting. Rock shows more emotions than Kris in this AU, and he grows to like the player if they get the true Pacifist ending.

Roll as Susie- Girlboss. Rolls more like an annoying sister than a chaotic one, but she has her moments.

Brainbot as Ralsei- They just give me the same vibe tbh. They’re both adorable too.

Iceman as Noelle- Now I know they have VERY different personalities, but i saw Noelle in the dark world uses ice attacks and thought HMMM-

So basically he’s just Noelle but aro/ace and curses a lot

Protoman as Queen- THEYRE BOTH WALKING SHIT POSTS ITS HILARIOUS

Cold Steel as Sweet Cap’n Cakes- @go-west-young-meowth had this idea on my other post and it’s honestly amazing

Airman as Berdly- Don’t ask.

Dr.Wiley as Spamton- I mean it kind of makes sense- if you think about it- just two mentally insane men

ok so i just finished green lantern from like, Rebirth up to DC Rebirth, the whole “modern saga” encompassing Geoff Johns, the “four titles at once fuck you” megarun, Blackest Night, the whoel shebang, and man. ooft. how do i even begin.

there’s some real ups and downs (i’m actually not too keen on Blackest Night, but the period after Blackest Night through Rise was ridiculously good imo), and overall they really did craft a whole setting and lore, talked about some real issues, and sometimes made me feel a genuine emotion about some rainbow-coloured superheroes.

guy gardner might be the standout “didn’t expect to like this guy so much” character from it all, along with his eternal foe, BOLPHUNGA (the unrelenting). hal could be bizarrely authoritarian or a total loose cannon depending on the way the wind blew. kyle’s always brought a face of mercy to things. john has the absolute worst life out of all of them.

some particular highlights, in no particular order:

oblivion melting the world

bolphunga and co. standing by as the alphas execute

rage god guy gardner

kyle tearing parallax out from the inside

basically the entire sinestro corp war

the final fight of the durlans

green arrow using all his willpower to shoot a SINGLE arrow

sinestro’s final revenge on the guardians

in short: i’m incredibly excited to read into rebirth, shit seems wild and i’m really looking forwards to having baz in a starring role rather than almost not existing after his introduction.
