Also funfact: it's the last place I stopped in MMZ! And also my laptop's motherboard hardcore fried when I was still working on this, honestly a miracle that I managed to continue working on this behemoth

to summarize what happened I forgot control chips were a thing in Megaman X, and ended up going down a rabbit hole on computer parts. however this ended up with an advantage in two parts, especially with the fic idea

so first off originally the idea was just Copy X getting a redemption arc, because I still see potential in him. first positive accidentally forgetting about control chips, I learned that computers actually have two pieces that store their memory

so that started the idea of newer models having an additional piece, mainly to prevent what happens to Zero in Megaman X

well before my dad reminded me of that scene I was considering adding Omega to the redemption mix, but wasn't entirely sure on how to do it. The bonus here is that Omega is using Zero's original body, and occasionally fights recklessly

what a more ironic and poetic way to redeem this mess of a man who thinks he's Zero, then do have Omega go through something similar but not quite the same as what happened to Zero?

so small update, I know surprisingly quick but; I noticed Flutter having some similar behaviors and had them checked out, even checked the blog while I was at the vet because I was so anxious and needed to calm down

turns out yes they are a Copy X and an Omega, but on top of that I learned they're suffering from separation anxiety; likely caused from past experiences, and from my past experiences with adopted pets I got from the pound or family I have my theories

regardless I'll be sure to keep an eye out of them both, and have a close friend or family member look out for them when I'm at work, thankfully my shifts aren't that long so they don't have to wait too long. additionally I don't live alone either, so I'm sure that helps as well

honestly no wonder the whole refusing to take the bandanas off unless needed, the fact Flutter acts like an X and kind of looks like one but not entirely, almost having an angelic appearance as opposed to the more tokusatsu styled appearance I've seen most X masterlings, and masterlings in general tend to have

Mesa's occasional habits of growling and slightly eerie laughter, the fact flutter didn't seem happy leaving Mesa back at the pound, Mesa's general clinginess

they were scared of being abandoned again, or being separated from each other and alone once more. I'd be lying if I said that was something I didn't understand, because that is something I do understand

got any activity and treat ideas for a Copy X and Omega duo? I know Mesa's a bit of an odd Omega, but I'm sure I'll figure out what he does and doesn't like

Oh my! Good to know that you’ve got more information to work with, at least. The experience will also be very helpful, as will the companionship. As for activities and treats, Omegas tend to favor rougher play and sour flavors while Copy X’s often prefer acting and strategy games and savory foods.
