the reason why there arent LEGO Pokemon sets is because Pokemon is already partnered with Mattel. Due to Mattel’s Megabloks being a direct competitor to LEGO, a LEGO pokemon set will most likely never ever happen. Especially since Pokemon has renewed it’s liscense with Mattel in 2022

The comparison between the old designs and the last ones of the line are pretty huge.

The angular, heavily stylized look was swapped out for a more natural, smooth look. Yet both have cool detailing and similar aspects.
