A Flame in the Night by @ghostpoetics <- everyone is bi the lead female MC is a cabaret/Chicago ish girl (like Antoinette Brown) and León is genderfluid and bi, but also helplessly in love with his wife (who is a girlboss)

Claudeline headcanons:

They are both bi (Claudia just prefers girls in general cause trauma from her father figures yes both of them)

They got the sad artist (Madeline)/hopeful person of fashion (Claudia) swag… mirroring Nickistat

If you see them commit murder no you have not, they did nothing wrong ever

They are so in love they make young! Nickistat and honeymoon era Loustat (any version) look not pathetically in love, which is a feat cause Nickistat mastered the bi yearning and Loustat got that romantic tension down.

So....with a fem and chubby reader, she's Enola's friend, but she prefers live in Hermit style.

But when Enola want to do sth, she would try her best to help Enola. And when Enola fight with her brothers, she just hide in reader's house.

Sherlock found that r is good at hiding and observing the emotions, she is kind of the opposite of him but is tolerable.

Best friend's brother trope and may I add that reader has a habit that when she feel want to be clingy, she would rub her cheek on his shoulder or his chest with holding his hand?

pairing: Sherlock x Chubby!Reader

You hear a knock on your door, a particular knock which you recognise very well.

And ‘tis indeed her, your closest friend Enola Holmes. You let her in your home, like you have before, several instances regarding arguments with her brother, especially Mycroft Holmes.

Enola was close to her other brother Sherlock, the man of mystery, she looked up to him.

“What is the matter this time?” You ask after offering Enola her favourite cake.

“Nothing new, only Mycroft being a pompous arse!” She huffs and takes the piece of cake from you. “The worst part, do you know? Sherlock didn’t object, didn’t say a word”

Enola was few years younger than you, but the bond you both had formed was very strong. You truly cared for her, and she for you.

Enola and you are engaged in a conversation when you hear another knock on the door.

“Sherlock!” you both utter at the same time.

“Oh I do not wish to go back” Enola looks at you with pleading eyes.

“How about you go to my room and I will speak to Sherlock?”

She nods and goes inside your bedroom as you make your way to the door, fixing your dress, you open the door.

“Mr. Holmes” You give a curt nod to Sherlock, and he quickly looks you up and down. It would a lie that his gaze didn’t affect you, didn’t make you want more.

“My sister…” Sherlock trails off as he makes his way inside your home. “She is in the bedroom.” Sherlock says matter of factly.

You open your mouth to say something but he looks back at you with a certain look on his that makes your whole body shiver. You clear your throat and walk up to him.

“Mr. Holmes, for a person who has extraordinary thinking abilities do you actually ever think?” Sherlock is taken aback

“Yes, your sister is in the bedroom, hiding from you, but do you care enough to ask why? to think why?”

It is at that moment you realise how close you are standing to him, how his shoulders are so broad, how you want to touch his chest, and how you want to run your finger through his hair.

Sherlock never looks at you with ridicule in his eyes, which other people do sometimes. He stares into your eyes, momentarily dropping to your body, then to your lips and again to your eyes. Sherlock didn’t quite understand what he felt towards you, he wasn’t good with feelings, all he knew is that when you touch him sometimes, be it keeping your head on his shoulder when you, him and Enola are out in a park, and you lean to him unknowingly. He is fond of that, he is fond of you.

“Enlighten me” His voice is low.

“Your sister, she looks up to you, it is not Mycroft she is angry at, it is you, because she cares about you. And I know you do too, but that is the issue with you Holmes siblings, you don’t express your feelings.”

“And you are excellent at it, aren’t you?” Sherlock asks sarcastically.

“Well at least better than you.” With that you leave him in the living room making your way to Enola, you have a hearty conversation with her about how Sherlock cares for her too, just does not know how to express it and she listens to you, all while her brother waits for the two of you.

“Right then Mr. Holmes, Enola will go back with you now.” You announce and smile at Enola, who gives you a tight hug and you hug her back.

“Thank you.” Enola smiles at you.

The Holmes siblings make their way back to their home after wishing you a good day.

“Sherlock?” Enola asks her brother.

“Hm?”

“You like her don’t you?” Sherlock smiles at that, a smile full of adoration, something that rarely appeared on his face

“She is tolerable.”

Yippee thank you for asking!! 1. What was the first Dragon Age game you played?

DA2, back in the middle of 2014. I was hearing a lot of hype about this brand spanking new game coming out in November that year, and that it had the word 'dragon' in it's name, and the only one of the two previous games that was playable on my Macbook (yes, I'm a filthy Mac user, I hate it.) was DA2. And well... the rest is history.

2. Which Dragon Age game is your favorite so far?

Inquisition. Despite its flaws, despite how much I keep ranting about it in various different DMs and servers and the like. The brainworms this game gave me have not stopped worming. Not for the past almost ten years.

I love the story and I love breaking it down and hot-gluing the parts back together. Playing the game feels like coming back home, more so than the other two, and more than DA4 will probably ever feel to me. This fuckin game saved me, in more ways than one, and got me thinking about writing again.

So yeah, as much as I gripe, Inquisition is really everything to me.

18. Which aspect of fandom are you most looking forward to? (e.g. reading/writing fic, the bounty of gorgeous art, getting to know new people, etc.)

Any and all creativity! I am so looking forward to the art and the fic, I'm biting and tearing and going feral about the potential lore that I can twist and make my own. I'm already excited at my friends who're already sharing their Rooks with me. Excited to start infecting more people with my Dragon Age brainworms.

People are coming out of the woodwork again, and I'm so fucking happy to see Dragon Age front and centre again!

🐀 [Rat] Name three reasons why this WIP is great at being an alternate meeting au.

Joel and Ellie meet on a rooftop instead of when he and Tess are looking for a battery!

The alternate meet changes the where and how of it but they still develop their bond because Ellie is persistent and Joel is Soft

Even with an alternate meet location/circumstance, Joel still throws Ellie into a wall because she's feral 😊

I got the idea for Rooftop on Jan 11th this year! I know the exact date because we had an ice storm and I wrote up the first rough outline by hand while our power was out 😅

meera often has some acne marks on her skin that she wants to cover up completely but she becomes more merciful to her skin as she grows up.

she actually looooves to wind down and take a break from trying to look perfect. she likes to dress warm and comfortable. her feet are easily cold so she wears warm soft socks.

does your oc have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? what is it? what's the meaning behind it? do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?

she has a trusty little black dress that she adores.

why do you like the vampire chronicles?

Ooh boy, this will probably be an essay blog post at some point, but, I shall endeavour to give the TLDR version to the best of my present ability. None of us really changes over time. We only become more fully what we are and memory is a monster.

Do not ask me to recall my age, I am 20 now, though I often feel like Louis and Lestat, inhuman and haven't been human for 200 years. Plus the pandemic destroyed my sense of time.

Before the pandemic, a dear friend of mine introduced me to gothic literary vampires, I had just read Shelley's Frankenstein and The Picture of Dorian Gray of my own accord, and he cast me as Mina Murray-Harker in his production of Dracula (1897) opposite one of my best friends as Lucy Westenra himself as Jonathan and one of our aspiring villain actors as Count Dracula himself. I then got hooked on Dracula (the 1897 novel) and following that I wanted more vampires. We watched the 1994 IWTV Neil Jordan film together and I immediately took Lestat as my pathetic bi meow meow. I read the 1976 novel not that far after and started role-playing and cosplaying Lestat as soon as I understood him enough to make him my bi pathetic meow meow. I wouldn't pick up the chronicles again until catholic school and the move to Canada.

When I was in middle school I was a constant victim of bullying, mostly by the white rich kids for being brown, and vaguely gothic in inclinations and "witchy" and "other." My dad was also emotionally overbearing and expected a lot at an early age from me. He has since gotten better and I'm no longer anyone's victim, but, it's worthwhile to note I was victimized (past tense) for a long time. I've also had my fair share of misogyny + anti brown racism flung at me, and I am bi and genderqueer. For the record I forgive my middle school bullies, we were simply kids who didn't know better. Now, do better. I've also been the victim of emotional abuse and gaslighting, while it never escalated to physical that sort of violence even if emotional violence sticks with you. But as mentioned, victimized, in past tense.

I moved to Canada and suffered the indignity of the Catholic school system. I quit after a year and after their queerphobia made international news. But not before a brief run as a spiteful bi as fuck atheist and picking up The Vampire Lestat, finally.

Before the pandemic, I felt like Louis de Pointe du Lac and Mona Mayfair, during the pandemic and in catholic school I felt like Nicolas de Lenfent, following the pandemic and up til the present I aspire to be something of a Lestat de Lioncourt and Rowan Mayfair meaning less cynical, unlearning my shame, confident, clever at least intellectually but foolishly in love with the beauty of humanity. Now, we're here.

Sometimes when the darkness of Hell’s Kitchen became too much, even for the devil himself, he goes to one of his favourite spots in the city, the Central Park.

Especially in Fall, he found a sense of peace when there was a chill in the air, it smelled so nice and he loved to hear the crunch of the leaves.

He sits down on a bench, taking some deep breaths, a small smile on his face, he likes it here. It was calm, it was nice and- wait- what’s that? His ears perk up when he hears little ‘meows’ followed by a voice.

Matt hears soft paws coming towards him and soon a fluff ball nudges his leg.

“Alpine!!” you run after the kitten and see she has found her way to someone. Matt bends down a little and scratches her little head.

“Alpine don’t run away!” Matt hears the voice has gotten closer, he can feel your presence now. He smiles softly.

“I’m so sorry”

“That’s alright, a nice kitten you’ve got there.” You chuckle at that.

“Oh I wish she was mine, but no she is actually my friend and her boyfriend’s cat.” Matt nods.

“You can take a seat of you want, looks like this little one has taken a liking towards me.” And it’s true, Alpine is all snuggled up by Matt’s leg with no intention of leaving. You chuckle with a little huff and sit beside him.

“So, do you look after her a lot?”

“Not really, my friend and her boyfriend absolutely spend all their time with Alpine, but now they are on a holiday and she doesn’t like to travel, so she is here with me.” Matt nods at your answer.

“Well I’m glad I got a chance to meet this little one”, then he looks at you with the signature smile of his “and you.”

And suddenly you all you can do is bite your lip and giggle. Who is this man? That’s all you think about.

“And unfortunately, as much as I’m enjoying our little chat, I’ve to go to work.” You nod and look at the briefcase he is carrying. Suddenly that makes you sad, will you see this handsome stranger again, wait you don’t even know his name.

“I’m Matt by the way, it was lovely meeting you, and you Alpine” He pets her little head and she meows with content.

“As amazing it was to meet like this, wouldn’t mind to meet you on purpose some time.” He admits with a blush.

“Would you like to get some coffee sometime?” He asks hopefully

“With the handsome stranger who likes cats? Yeah I think I’d like that.”

He gives you his card. ‘Nelson and Murdock - Attorneys at Law’ with his name and number on the back.

“I guess I’ll call you then, Matt Murdock.”

With that infectious smile of his, he makes his way out. You keep smiling and looking at him.

“Well I guess it’s true after all Alpine” you pick her up on your lap and she looks at you with those big eyes of her. “you’re quite the wing woman”

Not when she was more certain of her place in the world and less hesitant about her worth. Brandon had helped her find some of that value in herself that Anya had struggled to see, and those building blocks kept falling into place even after their romance ended. All she could wish for a man like him was happiness, and happiness he was attaining at Lady Meera’s side. “Our paths diverted for a reason when they did and it makes me happy to know he found someone who matches his path”.
