Remember when Jake Thomas came back to #disneychannel and starred as #jasonstickler in the spinoff of 'That's So Raven', 'Cory in the House' 🏛? He played the rival to Cory Baxter and both compete to try to win the heart of Meena. He also has a bunch of CIA technology to help carry out his plans or even sometimes to help Cory and his friends. I actually did not recognize Jake at that time when he first appeared on this show. Back then, I was about 13 years old and Jake had matured quite a bit between Lizzie Mcguire and Cory in the House. Critique bonus de Cory est dans la place

  Cela fait longtemps que je n'ai pas commenté un superbe animé japonais. L'un d'entre eux doit être à peu près Cory dans la place. Bien qu'il soit assez surévalué, j'aime très bien cette émission étrange après l'avoir regardé il y a quelques années. Oui, même le doublage Disney Channel restait fidèle à la tonalité de la série. Les weebs peuvent aller se faire foutre alors que nous apprécions la beauté qu’est Cory dans la place.

      Tout d'abord, l'animation. OH MEC. Alors que le générique d’ouverture a l'un des styles artistiques les plus intéressants que j'ai jamais vus (en particulier avec l'effet vibratoire utilisé pour le tambour de Cory), même plus que l'animation de l’émission actuelle, je pense toujours que la série est géniale. Tout le monde est bien dessiné et les arrière-plans semblent presque réels, comme si cela a été filmé sur un plateau avec de vrais acteurs. Les dessins de personnage sont étonnamment variés, mais l'anime était très progressif à l'époque, nous donnant un protagoniste afro-américain et un intérêt amoureux indien, ce qui est très rare pour un dessin animé. Étonnamment, tout le monde est bien dessiné malgré les types de corps variés, ce qui est plus que ce que je peux dire à propos du déchet adorable qu’est Jonas L.A. Quant à la musique, ça pourrait être une opinion impopulaire, mais je ne l'aime pas tellement. Alors que le thème d'ouverture est fantastique, le mot ''Cory' ' y étant répété 10000 fois, la musique du spectacle est très fade, en particulier lorsque l'on considère le budget de 3 $ du directeur Patrick Star. Bien sûr, l'orchestre qui interprète le thème de Stickler pourrait être beau, mais le mélange de sons de jazz et de sons d'abeille fait que toutes les autres scènes apparaissent maladroites. Cependant, les doubleurs font un excellent travail pour faire le rôle de tout le monde, même dans la doublage anglais. Le seul acteur ayant une mauvaise voix est celui qui joue Sophia Martinez en japonais, qui est en réalité une fille orpheline que deux dirigeants homosexuels de Disney ont adopté dix minutes avant l'audition. Sa performance pourrait être terrible, mais elle est encore amusante à écouter. Dans l'ensemble, je trouve la présentation bonne, pas géniale.

     Maintenant, on peut se rendre au moment important de l’émission: le scénario. Non, il n'y a aucun fan service impliqué dans cet anime, malheureusement. Alors, voici l'histoire: Cory Baxter s'installe dans la maison blanche parce que son père, Viktor Baxter, est devenu le cuisinier personnel du président. Encouragé par l'attitude positive de son père, Cory va à l'école, où il rencontre une fille Meena Paroom, dont il tombe amoureux ... Oh, et il y a aussi Newton Livingston III, mais il n'est pas important. Cependant, son rival, Dio Bran--, je veux dire, Jason Stickler espionne Meena au point d'être appelé un pervers, Cory alors qu’on doit s'occuper de lui aussi bien que d'autres vilains dans chaque épisode. Oui, cette série est épisodique, mais ce n'est pas un problème majeur lorsque vous créez un monde de science-fiction cohérent au cours du spectacle. Un exemple doit être le ''Du feu dans ses yeux! Quelqu'un m'a déjà dit que le monde me roulerait! & Knuckles! '', Où Cory a eu à lutter contre Stickler seulement pour découvrir comment ce connard était toujours seul parce qu'il était étranger à la planète Currypton, où vivait son père Shrek. C'est une histoire tragique qui a touché des personnes de tous âges quand elle a été diffusée sur Disney Channel. L'épisode principal de Newton: «Combattez-moi! A travers les tortues et les flammes! '' Impliquant des tortues et des pizzas était très soigné, aussi. Dommage que Newton lui-même est apparu seulement pendant quinze secondes à la fin de l'épisode spécifié portant un sombrero et chantant '' Viva la Vida Loca '' pour Cory. Une histoire très profonde. Meena est également un personnage intéressant, principalement à cause de ''TODOKETE! SESTUNA SAI WA!'', Où elle essaie d'être une pop star, découvre encore que son destin est de gouverner le monde en tuant le président avec un gâteau empoisonné, alors Cory l'arrête et lui demande de suivre ses rêves dans une séquence très ressemblante à un rêve qui ferait pleurer un hipster. Le pire personnage doit être Sophie, cependant, principalement parce qu'elle est essentiellement un stéréotype loli Tsundere qui est présent dans les ordures telles que DAT BOI: L'animation ou Warioware: Smooth Moves. Oui, je sais que les fans de Cory l’aiment, mais je déteste cet enfant stupide. Viktor est également surévalué comme pas possible, principalement parce qu'il n'a jamais eu son propre épisode. Je pense cependant que la finale en valait la peine, principalement parce que le robot géant luttait contre une version géante de M. Krabs, qui utilise son stand Star Platinum pour enlever le président. Il vaut la peine d'observer deux saisons de 111 épisodes. À la fin, j'ai vraiment aimé le scénario de Cory est dans la place, malgré de nombreux problèmes que j'avais avec.

     Donc oui, j'ai apprécié Cory est dans la place. Je ne l’adore pas et je ne dirais pas que c'est l’animé le plus magnifique qui ait existé, mais j'aime Cory est dans la place tel qu'il est ... Je suis désolé. Je ne le ferais plus jamais. Je me suis amusé.

Bonus review: Cory in The House(Spoilers included)

    It’s been a while since I have reviewed such a great anime. One of them has to be pretty much Cory In The House. While it is pretty overrated, I love this crazy show very much after having watched it a few years ago. Yes, even the Disney Channel dub was very accurate to the overall tone of the series. Weebs can go fuck themselves while we can truly appreciate the beauty that is Cory In The House.

      First things first, the animation. OH BOY. While the opening has one of the most interesting art styles I’ve ever seen (especially with the vibrating effect used for Cory’s drum), even more so than the actual show’s animation, I still think the show looks great. Everyone is well-drawn and the backgrounds almost look real, as if this was filmed on a set with real actors. The character designs are surprisingly varied, but the anime was very progressive at the time, giving us an African American protagonist and an Indian love interest, which is very rare for an anime. Surprisingly, everyone is well-drawn despite the varied body types, which is more than I can say about that Moeblob garbage Jonas L.A. As for the music, it might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t like it that much. While the opening theme is fantastic with the word ‘’Cory’’ being repeated 10000 times, the actual show’s music is very bland, especially when you consider the 3$ budget director Patrick Star had. Sure, the orchestra performing Stickler’s theme might be beautiful, but the mix of jazz and bee sounds just make every other scene sound awkward. However, the voice actors do a great job at portraying everyone, even in the English dub. The only bad voice actor is the one portraying Sophia Martinez in Japanese, who is actually an orphan girl two gay Disney executives adopted ten minutes before the audition. Her performance might be terrible, but she’s still entertaining to listen to. Overall, I find the presentation good, not great.

    Now, we can get to the meat of the show: the plot. No, there is no fanservice involved in this anime, sadly. So, here’s the story: Cory Baxter moves into the white house because his father Viktor Baxter became the president’s personal cook. Encouraged by the positive attitude of his father, Cory goes to school, where he meets a girl Meena Paroom,which he falls in love with…Oh, and there’s also Newton Livingston III, but he’s not important. However, his rival Dio Bran—I mean, Jason Stickler stalks Meena to the point of being called a pervert, so Cory has to deal with him as well as a bunch of other villains in each episode. Yes, the show is episodic, but it’s not that much of a problem when you build a coherent sci-fi world over the course of the show. One example has to be the ‘’Fire in his eyes! Somebody once told me the world was gonna roll me! & Knuckles!’’ episode where Cory had to fight Stickler only to discover how that fucker was always alone because he was an alien from the planet Currypton, where his father Shrek lived. It’s a tragic backstory that impacted people from all ages when it was broadcasted on the Disney Channel. Newton’s main episode ‘’Fight me! Through the turtles and flames!’’ involving turtles and pizzas was pretty neat, too. Too bad Newton himself only appeared for fifteen seconds at the end of the specified episode wearing a sombrero and singing ‘’Viva la Vida Loca’’ for Cory. Very deep backstory indeed. Meena is also an interesting character, mainly because of the ‘’TODOKETE! SESTUNA SAI WA!’’ episode where she tries to be a pop star yet discovers that her destiny is to rule the world by killing the President with a poisoned cake, so Cory stops her and asks her to follow her dreams in a very dream-like artsy sequence that would make an hipster cry. The worst character has to be Sophie, though, mainly because she is basically a loli Tsundere stereotype that is present in garbage such as DAT BOI:The animation or Warioware:Smooth Moves. Yes, I know the Cory fanbase loves her but I hate that stupid kid. Viktor is also overrated as all hell, mainly because he never had his own episode. But I think the finale was worth it, mainly because of the giant robot fight against a giant version of Mr. Krabs, who uses his stand Star Platinum in order to kidnap the president. Totally worth watching two seasons of 111 episodes. In the end, I really liked Cory In The House’s plot, despite plenty of issues I had with it.

   So yeah, I enjoyed Cory In The House. I don’t love it nor would say that this is the greatest anime that ever existed, but I like Cory In The House as it is…I’m sorry. I’m never doing this again. I had fun.
