This will be my last post about the 2018 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. As you might know, it was my second Team Challenge charity run to help raise money and awareness to help find a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In only nine days, I will be running my second marathon! As you probably know, I am running to help raise money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation (@crohnscolitisfoundation). This year, I have already matched my fundraising efforts from my first marathon thanks in part to the contributions from generous customers of Herberger's in Stillwater, Minnesota, who purchased Community Days booklets in November of 2017 and February of 2018! I also received an amazing donation of $1,500 from Patterson Dental (@offthecusp) in honor of my sister's 20 year work anniversary! Here is the update for week four of marathon training. I had to move my rest day to Thursday this week because of a job interview. (Definitely more important.) Now I need to go to bed in order to get some rest before starting week five. I hope that everyone had a great weekend and a happy and restful Mother's Day!

Week three of marathon training is officially in the books. I was able to pick up my pace a little this week. In fact, I broke the 10-minute mile mark for the first time in this year's marathon training season. It was also my first full week of training... I will be running five days a week from now until the end of September.

Week two of training for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Team Challenge charity run is complete. I’m not as fast as last year at this time. However, hopefully my speed will increase as time goes on.

I have decided to run a marathon again this year to raise money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. This year, I am running from Minneapolis to Saint Paul! The marathon is 24 weeks away... and that is a good thing. That means I have plenty of time to get back in shape!

Less than 12 hours to go until the start of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. This photo was taken at about mile 11 of the course. I should get to this point after about two hours of running.
