Also speaking of my Fallen London OC's pls look at these picrews I made of the disaster lesbian polycule, because I'm very pleased with how they turned out

From left to right, Professor Izora Gay, unsure how she got involved in the drama but in too deep to quit now, Josephine Knight, creating 90% of the drama with her refusal to chill the fuck out, and Nova Porter, very much aware of the drama but an expert at pretending to be oblivious to it. Don't worry about the candle she's holding, I'm sure it doesn't imply anything ominous about her character arc.

Not pictured: Ezra Hart, the very creatively named protagonist for Heart's Desire, who finds the disaster polycule morbidly fascinating, but you couldn't fucking pay him to get involved. My man is way too aroace for this, he did not survive polio to put up with people's relationship drama. Who needs romance when you have a Victorian Yugioh tournament?

#fallen london #my oc's #the short version of the disaster polycules dynamics:#jo first met izora by trying to murder her (long story). izora fought her off and that caused jo to fall in love instantly #izora would probably like jo if it weren't for the murder thing. unfortunately for her she ends up investigating something major #and jo is the primary source of information in izora's investigation so she cant just ignore her #meanwhile izora and nova like each other a lot! they helped each other on their respective ambitions #izora would make a move but she thinks nova is innocent and doesnt want her involved in jo's bullshit #nova is very not innocent but doesnt want izora to know that so she's not going to make a move either #nova met jo on her ambition. nova got buried alive and jo dug her up (long story)#jo then decided it was her job to keep nova safe so she's basically nova's knight (obligatory name pun)#nova is lowkey swooning over that but she's worried that izora will find out if they get together #bcause nova really doesn't want izora to find out she's been involved in jo's bullshit longer than izora has #yes that really is the short version #ezra in the background: this is fascinating to me. you live like this?
