Hmm... I'm mad right now, and thanks to tumblr's search being ass I can't even fully say why
I just remember that bolton said some shit a few years back that really pissed me off... something along the lines of just brazening talking about organizing coups or something... like it was that level
Now, I reblogged the clip from the interview to be mad about it at the time, but searching for bolton on my blog... no hits
Couldn't even remember his name for a hot minute there, just thought "that asshole with the big mustache", but man... I wish I could literally just find and reblog the clip... I could probably track it down with a search engine, but then it wouldn't be easy to just reblog it, so I'd probably just end up summarizing it... and I'm too tired for that
Anyway, fuck john bolton and fuck the US government. I get fucking sick of the total lack of accountability those assholes have. Honestly a fair few of them should probably be on trial for war crimes, and we shouldn't protect them
Just hit with a sudden wave of being pissed off about this stuff, so there it is
#watching something on proxy wars just for background noise; and it made me think about how plausible deniability is one of the big things#countries doing a proxy war crave#and that lead me to half remember whatever that asshole said that's got me pissed off#never mistake me being pro welfare programs for me somehow liking the US government or trusting them#you'll notice I always push for basically deregulating any kind of welfare I'm pushing for#that I'd rather not fret over how much money someone has for something like disability; like just fucking give it to bezos if he's disabled#saves more money not paying people to harass people over it than it does enforcing it#same with shit like food stamps; or like if instead of welfare state health insurance was universal#then you're not spending on people to go through and make sure everyone's poor enough#the fuckers take the money; and in return I want to smash the handle off the spigot and let it flow back in welfare programs#but if you think for a second I trust or like them; you're wrong#and like if you think I trust cops to confiscate guns; you're also wrong#actually the thing that drives me most nuts with a lot of people on the right is the way they'll hate the state with their chest#but then thin blue line it when it's like... you damn fools; who shut down your freedom convoy; huh?#you don't trust the state; except for the part of the state that has the guns and does whatever they're told#(and is corrupt as shit a lot of the time)#mean while there's people on the left like ACAB; but also only the cops should have guns#mhh... yeah... you tell me how that's a good idea#so no; never let me strong support for social programs fool you into thinking I like the government#you think I trust them just cause I think they should be doling out money?#they need to be watched like a hawk the whole time they're doing it#government is unfortunately something that will exist in one form or another no matter what once you've got more than like 50 people#so we need to shape it to be something that actually does something useful; and we have to except it's corrupt to the core#and so we need to be constantly forcing it to maximum transparency and be weeding the shit out of it

Also, what these pro-ACAB idiots don't realize is that police officers sees shit that people can only have nightmares about. They don't realize that cops would often have PTSD from seeing so many innocent people getting killed in very gruesome ways, entire families being slaughtered at times, just the cruelties of others. Hell, they even catch legit child predators in the act (1/2)
There's even a video that showed body cam of cops busting into a hotel and finding a child with blood on the bed in which they arrested the pedophile, who kidnapped the child, hiding in the room. And these cops have to see that SO OFTEN while these idiots who are screaming "ACAB!! reblog to hate a cop uwu because they're all pigs uwu" get fucking """triggered""" because of fictional shit. It's just... So damn infuriating to see
The biggest issue is that many of them are unwilling to accept criticism (which would allow them to see the faults in their movement/slogan/whatever) or talk about other alternatives to just defunding and getting rid of the police. Like Obama said, the left is awful at conveying a message.
“The key is deciding, do you want to actually get something done, or do you want to feel good among the people you already agree with?” Obama added.
And wanna know something? A lot of them want to feel good among people they already agree with. To them, that’s progress. They often have no intention or desire to actually do anything. They have no intention or desire to reach out to anyone other than those who already disagree with them. And ironically enough, a lot of the people criticizing Obama for criticizing the way they go about things are blue checkmarks and people who have a cushy bed of money to sit and a house that is guarded by a nice, picket fence. A lot of them think that if they have to convince you or think that you’re just an idiot for not fully understanding what a three/four letter slogan means and how it is intended to be interpreted, then you aren’t worth getting on their side.
This, among many other reasons, is why the left and progressives are fucking losing to republicans and conservatives. Yeah, ik that defund the police and ACAB is meant to say that the system is corrupt and that some police areas are overly funded. However, I still disagree with it for the criticisms outlined in my other post, as well as the fact that some areas actually have a relatively decent police force and because I know that politicians will probably gleefully defund the police and then take another vacation.
I also disagree because I know what those slogans “truly mean” because I’m fortunate (or unfortunate depending on how you look at it) enough to be able to spend a majority of my time on social media watching idiots be idiots. If you have to give a one to two minutes long explanation of what something means after you say it because someone doesn’t “truly” get what it means, that is a sign that it is fucking awful.
Like I have absolutely zero issues (other than ya know, general safety, people, etc.) against social workers, paramedics, etc. being sent out to places alongside the police so that way, they can properly deal with issues. The reality is that police officers are not trained to be able to evaluate mental health and may not have any idea how to talk down a crazy addict. The reality is that social workers and paramedics are not equipped to deal with said crazy addict waving around a gun and threatening to shoot people. Given that the situation can be one of two ways, both should be sent out to investigate and better allow one or the other to actually do their job. Not to mention, if some fucked up shit does happen, you have people that are not obligated to feel like they need to protect someone out of fear of repercussions or loss of their job.
Similarly, I have no issues with scrapping the current training system that police officers have to go through in favor of one that better teaches how to de-escalate and how to better handle situations before having to turn to aggression. I also have no issues with either getting rid of or heavily limiting police unions. I have no issues re-allocating money from overly funded police forces to better public systems.
However, despite all that if you so much as criticize acab or the dtp crowd you’re just someone who uwu wants to sleep in the same bed as pigs uwu or yOu jUsT dOnT gEt iT. If you have to constantly tell people “they just don’t get it” or “they’re misinterpreting it” every time a criticism is brought up, that is probably a sign that it should be re-evaluated and to evaluate whether those criticisms hold weight and if so, use those criticisms to better yourself.
But, since they want to feel good around people who already agree with them, they see no reason to change. As long as many of them continue to do that, they will continue to lose supporters

Okay so This is just a way to let out some frustration so I can put it out there and stop mulling on it bc I'm bad at this sort of stuff - Feel free to ignore it
I'm putting this under Read More; if your fav past-time is to call anyone who likes Ironwood's character or was disappointed by his V8 turn to villainy a stupid bootlicker who "should have seen the signs he was always a tyrant !!" please don't interact with this post. You're ultimately free to think what you want but honestly I see enough of that in the main tag when left alone, I don't need it on my blog it doesn't make me feel good.
Anyone else... well you can read if you're interested but you don't have to either. Feel free to respectfully disagree though, I'm not that bullheaded that I can't partake in a friendly argument =) I'll just be listing some things about Ironwood's reading by the FNDM who get old or draining as someone who doesn't like the V8-characterization they went with
Can people please stop just... copy/pasting real world issues on a world/characters that have nothing to do with them or a completely different context ?
Like,, I genuinely try to educate myself on real-world issues. I know I'm rather privileged so I try to listen and hear out people who speak out about the issues they live through day by day. I know why the "ACAB" moniker exists. I understand the problem that lies within the american police system (and likely other countries as well). I see why the army, on our blue planet, is criticized & its many failings. Etc, the list can go on...
But I'm sorry to say, Remnant isn't OUR Earth. Their Army's primary job is to fight actual evil soulless monsters, not people. The Ace Opps or Huntsmen are not an organization directly inherited from slave-hunting groups. James Ironwood isn't the US army general bombing Middle East. Clover Ebi isn't the racist cop you want in prison. So WHY are they treated as such by so many people ? Stories are not a 1-1 where you can take everything you know and just apply it to a completely different world.
Has Atlas been presented as a country that suffers from racism & classism ? Certainly. Has it be shown this way ? That's already more debatable since the only racist arguments we got were in Mantle (which is the city we're supposed to be rooting for so that's a weird choice but eh it's whatever). Are the characters, as persons, shown to evoke these issues in a way that deserve our scorn ? Not really.
Is Ironwood depicted as particularly racist for example ? I wouldn't say so seeing as one (or more considering Tortuga) of his Ace-Opps are Faunus & it seems perfectly accepted; and he hates Jacques Schnee's guts. So why does he get to shoulder all of our real-world issues as if he was responsible for them, in a context where (pre V8) his army had most likely never killed anything else than Grimm and was shown to elicit very positive reactions from most of the population (V3) ? (In direct contrast to the polarization that the US army might evoke for example.)
You can totally hate Ironwood because of the feelings he evoke, the trope he stems from or the parallels to be made. That doesn't mean however, that he IS truly guilty of every one of OUR world issues (pre-V8)
Just because classism is prevalent in Atlas society does not make Ironwood the figurehead & leader of this issue.
Is classism an issue in Atlas ? Yes. That's been made clear because of Mantle's state as well as Jacques Schnee entire existence & even Cinder's backstory. Does that mean every single one of Ironwood's decisions reeks of classism ? NO
Trust me, as someone who found Ironwood's V8 characterization not... well-executed & too much; there's nothing more annoying than being assaulted by posts about his fall going "it was so obvious !! look at -" only for them to then list reasons in a really biased way or even headcannons based on (again) irl problems. An exemple...
Reasons his turn was good that I see thrown around : "Ironwood left Mantle behind because he only wanted to save the rich. He's a selfish coward & an asshole !"
What we were actually given : "Ironwood suffers from PTSD, and faced with Salem's imminent arrival, he tried to save what he was CERTAIN to be able to protect aka the flying city and all the people on it including Mantle evacuees. There is absolutely no text backing the idea that he wanted to leave with Atlas because it's rich. We could even suppose that he would have left with the 'poor' Mantle if it was the flying city and rich people were hanging safely on the ground. There is indeed an issue with Atlas & Mantle disparity, but Ironwood isn't directly responsible for it."
Does that make his decision to leave Mantle behind a morally right one ? That's of course NOT what I'm saying. The situation is still very ambiguous. But the classism theme has NO place here.
"Ironwood leads Atlas & Mantle. As such, he inherently holds responsability for the issues plaguing it." THIS is an acceptable reading according to me. I would probably argue that even if Ironwood's the only Atlas leader we're shown; he actually only oversees the military & academy (where we haven't ever seen classism issues), so putting Atlas' classism issues on him still doesn't sound fair to me. However the idea & argument is sound.
Acknowledging only how his actions look/the tyrannical surface reading and not the reasonnable justifications or glimpses we were given (pre-V7) of Ironwood being more than his trope
I'll probably stop after this one, but the last thing that is both tiring & annoying after too much of it; is seeing people boil down all of Ironwood's character to the most basic summary, inherently written to paint him in a bad line. And then saying that everything led up to his downfall by using these watered-down versions of the show's events to justify it. Or worse (imo), saying that people who are not satisfied with his V8 characterization that THEY don't understand how good a character he is and don't really appreciate him.... All the while only ever highlighting his characters flaws. Please stop this.
"Ironwood brought an army to the peace Olympics why are you surprised he turned out this way ?" ==> Ironwood brought an army to a country where the civilians visibly have no issue with said-army, to protect a peaceful event that he KNOWS to be targeted by foes. It's definitely overzealous & his conviction that threats should be dealt with by blunt force IS one of his flaws; but pretending that he did it for fun or because he's a tyran is just as misplaced.
"Ironwood said he'd shoot Qrow if he were one of his men why are you surprised he shot Oscar ?" ==> Do I really need to flip through every joke in this show and consider it as absolute truth & proof that the character would enact these words if given the occasion; even when we're shown with certainty that they actually don't mean it ? (IW hugging Qrow to welcome him, refusing to attack Qrow when he's certain Qrow IS attacking him...)
"Ironwood has his military all over Mantle, there's a curfew, all of this is tyrannical why are you surprised he's also down for genocide" ==> Damn, it sure is criminal to have Mantle defended from the litteral monsters roaming inside & out, and to make sure with a curfew that the people are not at risk during the night. I wonder if any recent events could make us reconsider our stance on how evil a enforced curfew is. Mhmmm maybe a pandemic ? Nah I must be imagining things. For real though, at what point did Tyrian's framing/lies (IW has his soldiers all over Mantle because of politics/he's a tyran who refuses opposition) became the truth of the situation for the FDNM too ? Again Mantle's situations SUCK, and that's a problem in itself. Making up problematic reasoning for the situation is dishonest though.
To end this, I'll just make clear. I do not condone any of Ironwood's actions post-V7. I don't think he had to be the big hero of the Atlas arc. Nor that he was without faults. I merely think that he'd have been a better antagonist than villain. And that it'd have been nice to keep the ambiguity/morally greyness that surrounds him; the knowledge that he's TRYING hard to do what's best for everyone; that he has good intentions. That he cares about individuals too to a lesser degree, and that he had people who cared about him as a person.
For short... Ironwood as an antagonist with understandable issues, flaws & failures; making questionable choices but with good intentions ? Hell yeah. Ironwood as a villain, more irredeemable than Hazel, willing to kill people for NO reason or even wipe out a city ? I'm not convinced.

In my desperate attempt to sleep I ended up thinking about copaganda and how the term as been abused and misused, so let me rant about it for a little bit
So “copaganda” means a specific thing, namely, a piece of media that pushes propaganda for the police, implying that the police is Great, Actually, and Don’t Worry Your Pretty Little Head About It. Cops is an example of that. Blue Bloods is the poster child.
However, as it always happens, a specific term that is actually Important enters the mainstream and loses its meaning because of people, and now it’s being used by many as “movie and/or show that’s about the police and/or has a police character that isn’t a total dick, which obviously means that the movie and/or show is bad”.
That’s obviously bullshit, and I will show that with Edgar Wright’s great masterpiece Hot Fuzz.
On the surface, a complete dumbass would say that Hot Fuzz is copaganda. Nicholas Angel is shown as good! The final act is a big shooting! Of course it is, right?!
Wrong.
Alright, so, Hot Fuzz begins by showing us Nicholas Angel and how fucking awesome he is. There’s what you would expect (urban pacification, riot control, resolution of “Operation Crackdown”, highest arrest) but, most notably, there’s a degree in Politics and Sociology, and they specifically mention popularity within the community. In fact, in the rest of the movie, that is what he mostly does- community work. He checks the traffic, patrols, gets minors out of a pub, and tries to find a duck for a member of the public.
So Nicholas Angel is awesome, and he’s the best cop. it would naturally follow that the rest of the police would love him. That’s what we want- if you’re good, you meet your objectives, and do your best, you will fit in the police and make the world a better place!
But no, the others fucking hate him. His superiors are shipping him off because he’s too good. He’s making the others look bad, and the idea of, you know, holding everybody at a higher standard doesn’t touch them. No, Nicholas Angel makes them look bad, and looking good matters more than all the results he gets.
Now, it would be easy to make it look like it’s just a higher up problem. The higher up are lazy and image obsessed, but the common officers, the ones we all meet, they’re good and appreciate him. “Don’t worry, public, we’ll protect you even though our superiors are dicks.“
Nope, they fucking hate him too.
So already, not a glowing endorsement of the police. But hey! It could still be copaganda! Maybe, I don’t know, it’s just those city cops, and the country cops are actually the good guys!
Ahah lol, actually? The country cops fucking hate Angel too. Angel is a “city cop” who thinks too highly of himself and is there to show them how it’s done.
If you’re reading this, you may remember that Angel kinda never did anything other than, you know, be a by-the-book officer. The country cops don’t like him for completely bullshit reasons that can be summarized as “you’re new and also you’re trying to make us feel bad for not being as awesome as you by being that awesome and we don’t trust you go away”. Danny likes him, admittedly mostly because he’s a sweetie pie, but partly for the bad reasons- he wants soldier cop.
All of this is, needless to say, not a glowing endorsement of the police.
Eventually, we find out what made Angel want to become a police officer; his uncle was one. He admired him, and wanted to be like him. Now, Edgar Wright could have left it at that, and we would have had a nice, traditional “amazing cop comes from long, noble line of cops” story, but instead, we instantly find out that, actually, his uncle was corrupt, and that’s bad, and Angel is disappointed in him.
So, to recap- we’re basically halfway through the movie, and the only good cop is Angel. (Danny isn’t bad, but like... he’s not exactly good either, at least as a police officer)
The movie continues, and murders start to happen. Angel is literally the only one who thinks anything is wrong. A long, long string of “accidents” is happening, and none of the cops has even the slightest inkling that something is wrong. They’re just like “Angel, you nipped scarf, you’re a paranoid dum-dum“, and what little they do, they do after a lot of arm-twisting and with extreme disgruntlement.
Once again, not a glowing endorsement.
On and on we go, two thirds into the movie, with only Danny liking Angel and showing any kind of improvement as an officer, until we finally get to the revelation that the council is killing people for the greater good (the greater good)... Oh, and btw, who is also part of the council?
The Frank Butterman, AKA The Police Inspector, AKA THE FUCKING LEADER OF THE POLICE IN THIS TOWN.
So, to recap, by the final act of the movie, we find out that the higher ups are corrupt and the main body of the police are ineffectual.
Okay. Cool.
Nicholas Angel then proceeds to pack up for the final showdown. I see lots of people making the argument that this is an example of soldier cop, fixing everything with violence. Me, I think that’s bullshit. In real life, the problem isn’t that cops have riot gear, the problem is that they use it for everything. Riot gear is something you use only when strictly necessary, and I would argue that “murderous council that’s packing” is one of those times when it is.
So the riot gear and packing up is fine. But what about the violence, I hear you cry?
Well, here’s the thing- the man is responding with the appropriate amount of force. Everybody is trying to actually murder him, and he never, ever shoot to kill. He shoots to incapacitate.
Look at the final body count, people. You think Bad Boys would have ended such a show up with none dead, lots low-to-medium injured apart from one guy who was badly injured but did it himself by tripping on a pointy thing? Fuck, even outside of copaganda, what was the last action movie that had such a body count?
Also, the rest of the country police come around, after initially responding AGAINST Angel, and only thanks to Danny mediation. Which... I mean, good, it’s good, I’m very proud of them, but like, once again, this isn’t exactly glowing endorsement. This doesn’t scream “see, audience?!?! Cops may look ineffectual, but when push comes to shove, they’ll save you!” to me, this screams “yo, they’re finally doing the bare minimum”.
Anyway, the end comes. The London police wants Nicholas Angel to come back because now they look bad, but Angel wants to actually rebuild and direct the police here in the town. They all do paperwork, because that’s what the rules say and rules are important and cops should follow the rules, and more stuff happens but it’s not important for the purpose of this so, here, the end.
At the end, we get the song. The choice of music is important for a movie, it means stuff. Even a mediocre director knows that, and Edgar Wright is a goddamn master of the craft. Have  you seen The World’s End? Check that soundtrack. It’s perfect. Hell, the man directed Baby Driver, which, you know, was half soundtrack. Edgar Wright cares about music in his movies and he chooses it carefully, is the point, okay?
So, keeping in mind that, what do we end Hot Fuzz with? Some bombastic “bad boys bad boys, whatchu gonna do, whatchu gonna do when they come for you”? Something that pumps you up, that makes you go “FUCK YEAH”?
We end it with “Caught by the Fuzz”, by Supergrass. Which, yes, slaps, it slaps my whole bod, and yes, it does pump you up, but, once again, is not a glowing endorsement of the police. It’s a song from the point of view of a scared teen having been arrested by the police who is thinking “fuck I should have stayed at home fuck”.
So what am I trying to say with this? Well, let’s start with what I’m not trying to say; I don’t think Hot Fuzz is an indictment of the police. Please don’t take all of this as me saying that Edgar Wright intended Hot Fuzz as a giant ACAB. That is what in the field we call a reach. Hot Fuzz isn’t an indictment of the police, and that’s fine, because it’s not trying to be. It’s showing the police as a highly flawed institution, and sure, it’s not showing it as flawed as it actually is, but that’s fine, because it’s not trying to be The Wire. What it is trying to be is a fun action movie, which it is, and it is so amazingly.
What I am trying to show is that it’s not copaganda. It’s a movie with a police officer as a main character, a main character who is awesome, but it isn’t copaganda. It’s not endorsing the police. It’s not whitewashing it. It isn’t saying “look at the police, aren’t they great? Aren’t we glad the police are around? Aren’t we better because of the police? Don’t you want to become a police officer? Don’t you think that what they do is excusable, at the end of the day, since they deal with so much?”
But what does this have to do with copaganda? So, look. I get that it’s very nice to tell other people that their favourite shows and/or movie is bad AND wrong, and to feel like you have the moral high ground while doing so. I also get that words change and at the end of the day who gives a shit about it. I really do get that- I will never, ever give a shit about ‘literally’ being used as an intensive and not just to mean ‘literally’, for example.
BUT, some words are actually important, because they do mean a very, very specific thing they are best at describing. And “copaganda” is important, because you read it, you hear it, and you instantly know what it means; it’s something that’s also cop propaganda. Got it.
Which means it’s a word that is important to try and keep for as long as possible, because, you know... the cops aren’t always great. And it’d be best if we weren’t constantly told they are.
I understand that it feels bad to have so many bad things happening around us, and so little power to stop it. But you do have a little bit of power. You have the power to call a spade a spade, and to say ‘that isn’t cool’.
Calling a spade a spade, however, means that you don’t go around calling everything a spade. If you call everything a spade, it creates confusion, and dilutes a message.
So please. Please.
Instead of just pointing at something that has a cop in it and say “copaganda!”, use your critical skills and, like I just did with Hot Fuzz, try to find out if it actually is copaganda before saying it is so.

My personal connection with Taylor’s discography, part twelve: No Body No Crime
Basically this is just a series I’m doing where I write down my feelings on what each of the Taylor songs means to me personally on a line to line basis both for my own sake to have it somewhere and for anyone who wants to know anything further about me.
So with that in mind, let’s get started.
No Body No Crime.
So out of all the relationships to Taylor's songs I have, this one is by far the most abstract. And yet, it still does in fact involve me being accused of killing someone. Before we continue, I am going to note that I am not the infamous murder anon given this fandom's history. I am also going to give trigger warnings now that this part of my life, and hence post, includes suicide, homophobia and rape, so if you cannot handle that, now is the time to turn away.
As a whole, this song reminds me of 2011, and how a group of boys who called themselves my brother's friends threw my life into a loop and the cost of unwillingly losing my virginity and the life of one of my closest friends, and how, in response to this, they ended up in prison with one of them dying in there.
He did it. He did it
The actions of these boys traumatised me and has lived in my mind rent free and repeated itself in the form of PTSD flashbacks for the last decade. This was particularly the case at the time where I was an 16 year old girl with undiagnosed and untreated PTSD and Bipolar Disorder.
Este's a friend of mine
A lot of my brother's friends had siblings my age and vice versa when I was a kid. As a result, most of us just formed one big group where we all hung out, and, on occasion, dated each other. One such instance of this was a friend of my brother's who I dated and remained friends with after he came out as gay.
We meet up every Tuesday night for dinner and a glass of wine
His coming out was not easy for him with his family kicking him out over it. So out of both guilt as I had pushed him to come out, and concern, I made sure to meet up with him as much as possible.
Este's been losing sleep. Her husband's acting different and it smells like infidelity. She says, "That ain't my merlot on his mouth. That ain't my jewelry on our joint account”
On one of the last occasions I saw him, he noted to me that these friends of my brother were seemingly trying to disown this friend, and trying to get others, my brother and another ex of mine, to do the same. We spoke at length about how him coming out had really changed the dynamic of his friendships and while a lot of the female friends and my male best friend at the time had still treated him the same, this group had certainly started excluding him from things because the 'ringleader' told them to. Unfortunately this included my ex who was like a brother to this friend, and my brother who was now seen as the 'new shiny thing' that took this friend's place.
“No, there ain't no doubt, I think I'm gonna call him out.” She says "I think he did it but I just can't prove it. No, no body, no crime, but I ain't letting up until the day I die”
At the time, I told this friend that they should call all of these so called friends and that I would if he didn't want to. But as teenagers are, and especially boys in my experience, he let his ego get in the way and said he wanted to get more 'proof' before calling them out. But even as that proof came in and he was completely ousted, there was no confrontation.
Este wasn't there, Tuesday night at Olive Garden, at her job, or anywhere
Not too long later, this friend committed suicide in front of me over the harassment of these so called friends and his family. While I knew he wasn't doing great mentally, it was literally the case that one minute we were there joking around and eating oreos and the next he was gone.
He reports his missing wife
Every single person that harassed this friend over his sexuality showed up to his funeral. Though I'm embarrassed about it now and realise it was not the time or place, that was the moment I chose to call out these so called friends, and in the process, I was accused of killing this friend. To this day I'm thankful that the place this friend died in had surveillance footage to completely rule out the notion.
And I noticed when I passed his house his truck has got some brand new tires
Despite showing up to the funeral however, it took these so called friends less than an afternoon to flip back to harassing this now dead friend.
And his mistress moved in. Sleeps in Este's bed and everything
I love my brother and always will. But he is not the kind of person who will speak up when something is unjust, and this was no different. For months he continued hanging out with these friends as if nothing had happened. Since then, I also found out that my other ex had endured severe racism at the hand of this group, and that my brother had once again said nothing.
No, there ain't no doubt. Somebody's gotta catch him out. 'Cause I think he did it but I just can't prove it No, no body, no crime, but I ain't letting up until the day I die
So the months went on, and with this and another friend's (unrelated) death also on my mind, I just got angrier and angrier. I did what I could to avoid my brother, ex and their so called friends, but the city I live in isn't that big and so of course, I ran into them (baring my brother and ex) at one point. Though I tried to ignore their provocations, they weren't having that. One altercation led to another and I ended up unwillingly losing my virginity to them. I've been told since that they were assured that they were going to get away with what they did to me because the court system is rough on sexual violence victims and proving the crime beyond reasonable doubt is near impossible. But even with how mentally distraught I was at the time, I just knew I couldn't let them get away with another crime.
Good thing my daddy made me get a boating license when I was fifteen, and I've cleaned enough houses to know how to cover up a scene
Most of my extended family growing up were cops. And while most of them were shitty in a ACAB way and a general human being way, I learned a lot about the system and exactly what to do and say if something like this happened. So I turned back the monetary bribes the 'ringleader's' parents offered me to keep quiet and we went through the system where they were sentenced to five months in prison, to which one of them never made it out. And while that may seem insignificant given convictions of rapes of my nature can be given up to 25 years imprisonment in my country, I'm definitely aware that it is far more than most people get.
Good thing Este's sister's gonna swear she was with me ("She was with me dude")
Within 24 hours of the rape, rumours were going around that I had willingly slept with these boys to get back at my ex and was now lying about being raped because I regretted it. However, upon hearing that from the boys himself, my ex came straight to me and apologised for everything because he knew they were lying, and that he should have left when our friend died, if not before then. Since then, we've become best friends and he's never left my side and testified at the trial to the fact these boys had made comments and taken other action to sexually harass me in the past and implied they had always wanted to do more.
Good thing his mistress took out a big life insurance policy
As you can probably imagine, with everything that happened, my mother didn't want my brother anywhere near these friends. So after the rape, he was pulled away from them, and, much like my ex, excluded from the social downfall they had with not only the conviction, but people realising the role they played in our friend's death. And while my ex still blames himself to this day, my brother has never said a word about it either way and somewhat got the reputation of the boy who got away with it all because of it.
They think she did it but they just can't prove it Despite this, or maybe even because of it, these now men have always accused my brother of orchestrating the whole thing from our dead friend coming out to my rape case in order to get back at them for the racism they showed my ex. Others have also accused him of being a part of it all but using me as a shield to bail him out to not catch heat.
She thinks I did it but she just can't prove it
On the other side of it, my brother has said things over the years to imply he believed I orchestrated the rape and legal situation that followed as a way to get him out of there in fear he'd end up like our friend, especially given his own suicidal history.
No, no body, no crime. I wasn't letting up until the day he died
As things stand at the moment, I have a restraining order on the men who survived prison. In the case of the 'ringleader', this prevents him becoming a cop like he wants to. Though he has made several attempts, both through breaking the restraining order and through others, to have the order thrown out, I've refused to budge on it and will until either all of them are dead or I am.

lol, lemme preface this by telling you what i know about the show from my out-of-context insta-viewing:
kabir sends his gf riddhima in to spy on vansh RAISINGHANIA (naam ka wazan check karein ji. kaafi hi bhaari-bharkam, just like the fake baritone the actor playing the character is being forced to put on.) vansh is some kinda shady, but idk WHAT SPECIFIC KIND of shady..... like is he just your garden-variety-evil-capitalist-ala-ambani-bezos, or is he into shit like drug smuggling and human/organ trafficking???? no one knows. maybe a little bit of both. but kabir’s a COP, and we all know that those fuckers are the shadiest shits around (#ACAB) so yeah, true to type, kabir shadyyyyyyyy. he’s actually the secret illegitimate son of vansh’s stepmom and together they wanna ruin vansh and take all his monies. so anyway, kabir sends in riddhima, who’s just a whole special brand of dumbass, but also extraordinarily determined in the way only tellywood heroines are. so she’s basically sticking her nose everywhere that doesn’t belong and being a pain in the ass of literally everyone in the show, including her own (coz she seems to get injured in novel and entertaining ways in every second episode.) kabir ultimately manipulates her into marrying vansh, while vansh has apparently married her KNOWING that she’s a spy and is probably playing the long game to see who her puppet-master is. long story short, heterosexuality is too potent a force and the Stupid Spy Girl and Gangsta Guy are currently slowly giving in to the Feelz™, despite missing that one-little-teensy-weensy-who-even-needs-it-in-a-real-relationship thing. y’know, that little thing called, idk, i think it’s called “TRUST” or some such strange unheard-of concept.
oh, in between all this there’s also some bizarre plot about some ex of vansh’s called ragini, who’s dead??? missing? idk. kabir is real interested in that and wants to jail vansh for it, but we’ve long forgotten about ragini by this point #RIPSis anyway, there’s some kinda statue of her’s in the attic or some shit, coz vansh is some kinda modern day gender-reversed medusa who turns women who cross him into statues??? idk man, idk. so riddhima is pretty much in constant danger of being statue-d.
also vansh has a requisite irritating famiy in tow, that he’s burdened with being in charge of (coz no rest for the unfortunate eldest son who lives in this godforksaken mansion, be that an oberoi or a raisinghania) feat: a dadi who is well-meaning, but as annoying as the one in IB was, constantly spouting platitudes about how vansh and Spy Girl trooooooly lurrrrrrrrrrve each other *kissy noises*; some chachi/chacha who are all “HEY WHY DOES HE GET TO BE THE BOSS, WE WANT CONTROL OF THE CRORE-ON KA BIJNESS TOO”, some very fake kanji-eyed siblings/cousins who are supreme bitches, and ofc one (1) normal sibling who is sweet but really does nothing around here. oh and there’s his right hand man/bff too, who seems to be not 100% (maybe just 83%?) incompetent like everyone else. that poor sod just got suckered into marrying Kanji Aankhon Waali Bitch Sister, who is pregnant with some total rando’s baby, and is just an all-round asshole to Riddhima/Right Hand Man, because “ugh, yeh do kaudi ke middle class naukar log, cheeeeee.”
ok now that the sasta, not-at-all-useful recap has been done, LET’S GET INTO THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
———————————————————————
the chachi is screaming her goddamn headdddd off coz her room is on fire. ofc it is. when has anything good ever happened in this manhoos house of horrors.
lmao the kanji eyed cousin has like 3% concern that his mom will be fried like a taaza jalebi. he's literally sauntering luxuriously towards his mom's room jaise park mein tehel raha ho.
chachi's screaming is getting on my nerves. aunty you're wasting valuable oxygen this way.
riddhima is behind some secret box that aryan and chachi stashed in the room.
THESE PPL ARE SO CHILL ABOUT A WHOLE ROOM ON FIRE (note: it’s shivaay's room in IB) and they're just hanging out in the living room (which if you’ll remember, IS ATTACHED TO THE ROOM THAT WAS SHIVAAY’S) as if fire doesnt have a tendency to y'know..........  SPREAD RAPIDLY.
riddhima is fighting with the bloody fireman saying ki i need to save the box. #priorities
aaaaaaand the fireman is kabir, who has come to haath maarofy on Box of Secrets.
and we know this coz he did a DRAMAAAAAAAAATIC reveal by taking off his mask. in a room FULLY ON FIRE. idhar non-flaming rooms mein bhi ab mask nikaalna danger ho gaya hai, and this guy justtttttttttt dgaf. tum jaison ki wajaah se hi we can't bloody stop the spread.
my god this house has been decorated soooooooo fucking tackily. never thought the oberois would be the classy ones.
shady saasumaa and riddhima stinkeye-ing each other over a bowl of shehed. lol, what even. truly some "rasode mein kaun tha" lvl of politics.
oh ho, saasumaa and kabir lagaaofied the aag.
saasumaa gloating over the fact that riddhima will now never get her hands on Box of Secrets.
flashback time: hahahahaha KABIR LITERALLY LOBBED A MOLOTOV COCKTAIL INTO THE ROOM AND CHACHI DIDN'T EVEN FUCKING HEAR IT OR ANYTHING. lmao everyone in this show is a dumbass. how blissful life must be with just one (1) working brain cell.
riddhima runs into flaming room. ofc now we will have a prolonged sequence where kabir tries to keep his identity and riddhima being the dheent that she is, will give chase.
please note, that not even 48 hours ago, this woman walked barefoot on a bed of coals AND a hallway full of broken glass. AND NOW SHE'S RUNNING FULL SPEED BEHIND KABIR AS IF SHE’S PT USHA. SIS, TUMHARE PAIR HAIN KI KYA HAIN? YOU'RE LONG OVERDUE FOR AN INTENSE PEDICURE AFTER THIS WEEK.
and ofc, he got into a getaway car and made it away.
yeh lo, iss beech mein dadi behosh. ouff.
whooooooooops, dadi has some weird blue nishaan on her neck.
LMAO KABIR SHOT AT RIDDHIMA WITH A POISON BULLET OR SYRINGE OR SOME SHIT, WHICH HIT DADI INSTEAD. LMAO MAN THIS SHOW. IT'S SO FUCKING DUMB, I LOVE IT.
some more stinkeye politics between saas bahu.
bahu is passive-aggressively giving saasumaa roses to congratulate her on winning this round.
riddhima is dheent!max. she's like kuch bhi ho, i'll find the secret anyway and your victory will witherrrrrrr awayyyyyyyy like these flowerssssss and you will be left with the thorns that will prick youuuuuuuu!!!!!!!
LMAO SAAS IS FULLY ROLLING HER EYES AT RIDDHIMA'S DRAMATIC ASS #SAME
just looking at helly's ears is making my ears hurt like a bitch.
hey riddhima, have you ever thought that maybe this secret child of hers is NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS?????? like honestly, the entitlement desis have to know the workings of other ppl’s wombs.
lol dumbass mummyji crumpled the flowers in her hand and played right into riddhima's stupid kaante waala metaphor. #ramMilayiJodi
hero ko covid hai toh ainvayi ke phone calls se kaam chalaana pad raha hai.
the dude left his house for literally the first time in months and the place is on fire and dadi got shot in the neck with poison. and the wife doesn't think she should tell him so that he doesn't become "pareshaan". sure, this seems like a dude who'll take this kinda thing real light when he finds out later.
(hint: he’s not. he’s a crazed, overprotective weirdo about his family. sound familiar?????)
this guy's dialogue delivery is so dodgy. idk what it is, it just seems so affected.
that plus the ainvayi ka editing just showing him in some random car (clearly from the earlier eps)  is just adding to the jankiness of the scene.
husband dude seems to know wifey's quirks quite well. kinda cute, kinda creepy.
lol kal tak toh yeh banda itna romantic nahi tha. like he had a smooth moment here and there, but he was mostly real awkward and robotic and unsure how to handle These Strange New Feelings™. now he’s spouting cheesyass lines about being able to see the one who is special to you with dil ki aankhein and idk what.
who are these people who like SHARING their room with another person? #unrealistic
but i also i get you, riddhima. he was pretty much the only thing worth looking at in this room, coz the rest of it is so damn fugggggg. this room should be the one set on fire.
dang, some steamy scenes between them in the flashbacks. ouff abhi jaake episodes dhundne padenge. coz #tharkiTTisTharki
riddhima doing dadi seva. boooooooooring.
ofc dadi ki sui is always atkofied on playing cupid for pota, taaki she can score some par-pota/potis.
riddhima ki best friend ka happy birthday hai.
riddhima is like a lottttt has happened in my life, can't really tell you over a call. yup, that’s for sure.
ok apparently sejal who said she’s in dubai now is NOT in dubai?? she's just up and flew to mumbai to "surprise" riddhima...... on HER OWN birthday? #doesNotCompute
lmao kabir's annoyance with mummy's useless glass of water. WHY DO MOMS THINK EVERYTHING CAN BE SOLVED WITH DRINKING MORE WATER?!?!?!!
now he's yelling at mom about how she's ruined everything. sure. blame the only one who's actually doing shit around here, while you sit on your ass in this room, glaring and growling like a hangry bear.
some menacing dialogue about how he needs to thikaane lagaaofy riddhima's hosh.
which has been overheard by bff sejal, who went and dropped a showpiece from shock. cool. so she gonna die. bye sejal, hardly got to know ya!
sejal being here doesn’t even make sense. she thought he was a PT teacher. then why did she show up here at his police waala office? also how did she connect the dots about the whole damn story with like 0.04% context that she got from what she overheard? kuchhhhhhh bhi.

Thoughts on the 8th ep of Hypmic Rhyme Anima. Spoilers beware
Ep.1 | Ep.2 | Ep.3 | Ep.4 & 5 | Ep. 6 | Ep. 7
Love that every time its a MTC centric episode im so busy that i can’t watch it the day it airs
I like how the beginning of the episode kinda mirrors the events in MTC’s story in ARB
hey hypmic you wanna try making it Less obvious who the culprit is? like damn you’re just giving away secrets like its candy. First Ramuda, the Ruikawa and now these two assholes. Might wanna keep your cards close before you spoil the ending of the anime oh wait they already did that nvm :p
Samatoki please have some sense of self preservation and ask what its about before accepting something. but I guess it also speaks to how trusting he is of those he lets close to him which also explains a bit more as to why he hates Ichirou’s guts
Love that Jyuto is actually choking the information out of someone and Samatoki is actually gathering intelligence and creating boards out of it. Most people expect the opposite from their characters and it such a great dynamic
I find it hilarious that Rio uses older computers but that brings up the question of “How far into the future really is hypmic?” bc those computers look to be from early 2000′s which would be A N C I E N T and completely unusable for hacking come a time when WWIII happens
Iris on a bike has no rights looking as hot as she does. The vehicle CGI is really nice too and so is her character model on top of the bike. Loving how Iris completely owns the two cops
The MTC love here is jsut. through the roof i can die happy now that i’ve seen Samatoki aggressively caring for his teammates animated and voiced. like, please. just. help. I can.t/ MTC care so much for each other I would hug them all and tell them good work, you can finally go rest now uughghghgh MTC guys. MTC
But mannn Iris is so cool, approaching MTC without any fear
I find it hilarious that Saburo would pose as a game dev from dubai which yknow doesn’t make any sense if you think about it. but whatever it just makes me laugh at how easy it is to fake a lot about yourself because yeah! it is easy!
The whole conversation about cops and good cops seems a bit off considering ACAB but considering Japan who has largely swept both BLM and ACAB under the rug it isn’t surprising. That isn’t to say that Japan doesn’t care, its just that these movements aren’t on the spotlight so topics like these don’t carry as much weight
lol yeah he should have expected to be stabbed from the front lol
SRKHFSKJD Rio please stop living in the water, i can’t believe he did that lol
Love the SamaJyuto subtext in the translation lol
Jyuto’s sequence is kinda cute in a way ahaha
The kurosawa-esque b&w screens are a nice touch to the song as well as the MC Name drops and hypnosis speaker drops. Idk about Rio’s 2DIE4 reference though since it doesn’t really rhyme nor does it add much to the rap itself
The song itself is pretty nice but it isn’t a bop like Fallin’ was. It has a different more gritty feel to it that i don’t hate but isn’t my style
Of course Iruma pulls this situation into his favor, its so typical of him.
Rio didn’t speak much here and took a general backseat to everything. I wonder if it was because during the time of recording this episode, Rio’s VA, Kamio Shinichiro, went down with The Virus (you know the one) so he couldn’t record much. Who knows but best boy. just let me hear best boy’s voice please
Ramuda’s phone vibrate actively annoys me oh my god it makes my skin crawl
If Ramuda’s sleeping on the couch then that really does confirm that Ramuda lives in his studio. Not surprising considering everything we know about Ramuda but at the same time, please get like a futon or smth sleeping on a couch will only hurt your back
Ramuda just busting in is fun
but im not sure how to feel about two divisions shoved into one. like this is basically telling us who is the important divisions, Ikebukuro and Shinjuku. Obviously BB are the protagonists of the series what with the staff coming out to even say that Ichirou is the hero, and if you know what happens then you know why Shinjuku is also highlighted which. also gives away the ending of the anime. again. I’m just glad that the team decided to stick with the irl results bc if they didn’t, they’d have a lot of angry fans
Back to my main point tho, this just. pisses me off. I love FP and MTC and to see them sidelined like this doesn’t feel fair. they deserve full eps to themselves bc if I’m being honest, these two teams have some of the best inter team dynamics out of the current cast. I understand that budget issues and episode constraints exist but this is just kinda frustrating that my main division has been tossed aside and the team that gets the most overall development gets thrown away too
Im not surprised that they cheated because gambling anime is about who can outcheat the other and the mind games played. thats the thrill of gambling series is the psychological factors in it
Ramuda emulating Gentaro’s speech is cute
The mindgames are not present at all and I expected that lol
thats.... midly gay gentaro lol do you always go around pressing shit into people’s mouths while leaning in close? thats pretty gay lol i love the homoerotic subtext present in this episode. First SamaJyuto and now GenDice
no speaker summon sequence? thats slightly disappointing but whatever. the anime is really doing FP dirty by cutting a lot of corners with their episodes
I never noticed that Ramuda and Gentaro hold their mics in their left hand while Dice holds it with his right. neat detail
I love how even in a battle FP still keeps their preppy attitude
Gentaro looks so awkward to the little sway and kick thing in the song lolol
This is probably one of the songs that I like the least. Jackpost is a very Dice song and not really fitting for either Ramuda and Genaro. I think i’d like it more if it was a dice solo or dice centric but the emphasis was pretty cleanly spread so that makes it pretty hard to enjoy
Oh hell yeah FP meshing as a team is just, so cute. Though that foreshadowing with Ramuda and his candy is just. wow
Yup they kept the og brackets so I think the anime’s going to stick with the IRL results. Which means that any tension they try and build won’t work for ppl who are already familiar with the series but I hope they don’t take that fact as an excuse to slack off

Donghyuck’s POV
‘What kind of person are you?’
I raised my eyebrows at the question but kept on ticking away at my phone, pretending I was caught up in my game. Instead I was typing down that sentence, maybe could come in handy later. What does she even mean by that? What kind of person are you? Quickly I looked up from my phone and glanced over when the sound of heels clicking away echoed throughout the compartment. She left after asking the girl the question one more time, I looked over at her, the girl, I bet I was showing the same expression. Utterly confused, but something in her eyes glistened like she got excited maybe hopeful. However she stayed seated and didn’t go to the bathroom were the money supposedly should be. My eyes studied her face, she was biting her lip now, her face looking stressed, like she was having an inner conflict. That’s when her eyes suddenly shot up and met mine, even though this exact scene had happened time and time again it startled me just as bad as the first time. Quickly I looked away, not wanting to look suspicious and making it clear that I knew what had just taken place there. The feeling of getting caught staring making my cheeks heat up. Fuck why did this always happen? I tried distracting myself by this time truly playing a game. There was a burning sensation to look at her one more time. Something about her is just so interesting to me and I couldn’t place my finger on what. We never had a conversation, I just don’t know how to get up to her. Funny for someone in my field who is trained to do stuff like that, why couldn’t I do it with her?
The compartment door opened and closed, I looked up to see y/n gone from her place. I shut off my phone and put it in my leather jacket, counting to 10 before getting up and following here, shooting a smile at George and Lilith who happened to notice me leaving. In the distance I could see her opening another door and disappearing trough it.
Your POV
It was small and there was an awful smell in the bathroom. Why were you even in here? Were you really expecting that much money to just lay around here? You hoped so, you really did. Quickly you looked around, not wanting to be in here for too long and maybe draw attention to yourself. Your fingers touched behind the small space between the mirror and the wall, nothing. Your eyes peaked trough the hole in the sink, nothing. You even was as crazy to think that it maybe was hidden in the toilet itself. A sigh escaped your lips when there wasn’t really any place left to search. Closing your eyes you let out another sigh, you were disappointed in yourself for even having a spark of hope in the first place. Were you really that ridiculous? There wasn’t any way you could escape your job as a cop and deep down you knew that and had to live with it. You despised it, but it was the only thing available to you which would pay decent without having a degree, you couldn’t afford to go to college. However you did have a lot to learn. The job itself was okay, you liked the thrill it sometimes had but you hated the system behind it all, how corrupt it all was, the men who would boss you around only because you are a woman and being promoted was almost impossible. It was unfair. Life itself was unfair You stood there for a few minutes in silence, trying not to cry because you were rethinking your whole life and it was tearing your down. You opened your eyes and looked up, not letting the tears that were covering your eyeballs fall down. That’s when you noticed one of the tiles in the ceiling being missed-placed. Your heart stopped for a second, it couldn’t be what you thought it was. Standing on your tippy-toes you reached for the tile and poked it which made it fall down but you caught it on time, placing it on the floor before reaching for the empty space. Your fingers touched around the space surrounding the hole, dust, dust, dust- you held your breath. Slowly you pulled it away from the place in the ceiling and trough the hole and there it was. A big bundle of green cash laying in your hand. The person on the bills staring back at you just as hard as you were.
Time. You had forgotten the time, you were in here a little too long now. Quickly you put the cash stack in the inside pocket of your coat, which you had put on again when you left your seat. You swiftly grabbed the tile from the floor and placed it back in its previous position before opening the door and leaving the bathroom. Now it was time to get off and start a new life. The joy you felt in your body was out of this world, all sorts of new plans already creating and building in your head. Slowly the train came to a stop once again, more and more people started waiting around you, also waiting to leave this place. The familiar voice spoke trough the speakers, informing people about the stop and were it would be heading next, it was only a blur on the background, your head was somewhere else. Soon after the train fully stopped, the doors opened and everybody started moving, including you. You were just about to get of the transport vehicle when you bumped into someone, who you assumed, was about to get on.
They locked eyes with you before handing you quite a heavy package. It was a girl, around the age range of 16 ‘till 18. She looked scared, really scared, terrified even. ‘You can’t leave.’ Confused you shook your head. ‘What?’ A whistle, she backed away. ‘They won’t let you do that. They will find you.’ And with that she left and the doors closed in front of your eyes, before you knew it the train was on its way again. You were standing there like a statue when you noticed how weird and suspicious you were looking. As fast as you could walk you made you way over to the last compartment, the air-conditioning was broken in that one for the longest time now and nobody every sat there because of it. You would have some time alone to think. After passing seat after seat and person after person, you finally arrived at the last compartment and you were right, there was no one there. Even the lights were shut off in here. You made your way over to one of the 4-seaters with a table and placed the package down while sitting down yourself, facing the door so you could see if anyone would come in here. For a few seconds you just sat there, staring at the brown packaging. You were curious but scared at the same time, the words of that girl never leaving your mind. ‘They will find you.’ Who is they? Was Savannah working with multiple people? People who would track you, find you and maybe.. Suddenly Savannah didn’t look as friendly in your memories as she did before. You felt a shiver go down your spine and shook your head and body. ‘Focus y/n.’ You whispered to yourself with your eyes closed. When you opened them again your hands reached for the package in front of you. Opening it very carefully and dropping the insides on the table.
Your mouth opened slightly when you saw what it had contained. A small Nokia flip phone, a gps-tracker, you recognized it from your work, you had even trained to place these things on spots they wouldn’t be noticed by the person who they wanted to track. But the thing that shocked you the most was the black handgun. What have you gotten yourself into? Just as that question popped up in your head, the Nokia started ringing. You picked it up after a few seconds of doubting to do so. When you did, a familiar voice spoke in your ear. ‘So you found the money? Great. Now all you have to do is find the person.’ Savannah sounded annoyed in a way, like she was in a hurry. ‘I don’t want to do this anymore. Why did you give me a gun? What is up with that girl? What have you done to her, she looked terrified?’ She sighed. ‘You should have thought about the consequences before taking that money y/n. Now go and find Prynne, again they have and know something they shouldn’t.’ ‘Prynne?’ ‘Yes, they go by that name. It isn’t their real name however, it is to cover their identity. You need to find them before the last stop and finish the job.’ You held your breath. ‘Finish the job doesn’t mean what I think it means right?’ Another sigh across the line. ‘Why would the gun be there otherwise, don’t make a scene, nobody needs to know you are a killer otherwise it would be quite sad of that money you did it for, wouldn’t it?’ Angry you stood up and stomped to the other side of the compartment. ‘No, I won’t do this. I am not a killer. You can have your money back.’ ‘Tsk, tsk. Again, should have thought about that. By the way Henry looks so cute in that Gravity Falls t-shirt, would be such a shame if it was smeared in blood, right?’ Your feet came to an abrupt stop when you heard your little brother’s name. Your breathing came to a stop when she described which shirt he was wearing today, you had seen him in it before leaving for work, he had given you a hug in it, wishing you a nice day. Your heart came to a stop when you heard what came after all that and when you realised you had no other choice if you wanted your brother to be safe.
‘You leave my family out of this.’ A laugh. ‘Finish the job y/n or I can’t make any promises.’ And with that she finished the call. Your heart still wasn’t working properly when you turned around to grab the belongings that were now yours. That’s when you noticed something moving away from the windows next to the doors to enter the compartment. You grabbed your stuff and quickly but swiftly made your way over to the doors and opened them, the gun still in your hand, ready to defend yourself if Savannah decided to be funny and send someone to kill you instead. However there was no one there. ‘Great now I am going crazy as well.’
Donghyuck’s POV
Just in time I could hide in the bathroom close to the doors. She was observant and I was slagging. ‘Great now I am going crazy as well.’ I raised my brows at her sentence. I dropped myself to the floor and peaked trough the small line between the door and the floor. She sighed and plopped on the ground, the gun still in her hand, holding it with a firm grip, like she is afraid of loosing it, afraid of not being able to defend herself. It went silent when she buried her face in between her knees, until I heard light sobs. My heart sank. I wanted to get away from my hiding spot and calm her down but I couldn’t, not right now. A few minutes passed by and I decided that laying on the ground the whole time probably wasn’t the best tactic, there would be a chance of her noticing me, so I got up and instead was now staring at the sink. Someone hadn’t fully turned off the tap and now droplet after droplet fell down in the sink. It was an okay form of entertainment until y/n would leave the hall. After a while I noticed the sobs had stopped, I could finally leave. Just when I was about to turn around and leave I was met by my reflection, he wasn’t alone, a girl was pointing a gun at his head. Y/n. I slowly turned around with my hands in the air and now met eyes with the girl in real life. She was standing against the door, blocking my exit. Her eyes were puffy and red, her cheeks just as red, her hair messy. She looked hot? What is up with me today? Maybe the slight panic made me go crazy. How was I so stupid not to lock door, I was trained for situations like this, yet here I am making mistake after mistake. This mistake led to her holding me at gunpoint. Her legs were a little shaky but the hand with the gun was all steady. Her eyes were piercing trough mine, looking defeated, angry and something else I couldn’t quite place. She opened her eyes and asked me something with a soft yet confident voice.
‘Prynne?’

50 or so hours into Cyberpunk 2077
This should be roughly the correct amount of time, ive been leaving the game running as I get up to get food or do stretches. Quests are roughly in order I did them
non spoilers above cut:
i haven't found a single hat/helmet i like, and since you can't hide them I just am not wearing any. It matters that much.
I posted the other day about bugs, every few hours I play I find new bugs. some require me to go back and reload a save others I honestly can’t tell if it’s a bug or just really poor development
there are several perks that don’t quite do what the description says, like the Anamesis perk. Based on reddit and trying it out it seems to just not do anything.
sometimes in car chase segments the passenger will say “look out” as cars spawn in my path and hit me. Can’t tell if that was deliberate or a pop in issue
Yeah I’ve just totally given up on doing pacifist things unless required by a mission. Given up on doing stealth too unless a mission objective, except for sneaking around to set up a fight.
:readmore:
the delemain car quest is fun. From the shock of the one going "beep beep motherfucker" and doing a hit and run to start it off, to the GLADOS car i see a lot of people talking about. It was fun to explore the city when i might have missed places like the landfill apparently there is follow up on T-bug's death if you go back to the quick hack shop in Kabuki. It's not much but better than nothing I made the pass with Panam of "what if the room just had one bed". I know she won't do a wlw romance, which is fine since I wouldn’t have chosen her.  I enjoy her as a character, don’t get me wrong, my V considers her as a friend, but it seems like theres always drama going on which would be tiring. I would have gone for a fling, i like her leotard-pants combo with all the straps
but also her questline was buggy as hell. Multiple cases of having to reload due to clipping into objects, including her in a driving section, or just insta-dying when collision physics with some rocks broke "your neural network can no longer function independantly of the chip" me slapping my desk: s y m b i o te!!! come on lets have some s y m b i o s i s
in the scene with hellman i really liked how Johnny moved around the room. It made him feel like he was really there. it was hard to follow the convo as I left the room, i would not have understood it without subtitles. But i guess Takemura fucking waterboarded hellman. :|
lol I hope the dialogue is different b/c i refuse to smoke for Johnny
i am level 18 and still can't beat the first opponents in the fist fighting quest. ffs
I looked up the romances options so I went to do the I fought the law quest as soon as i got it. ACAB, but like I literally just met River Ward 2 minutes ago, and I really like him. His earring and cyborg eye, his big fluffy coat. I'm definitely gonna sleep with him Ok i like how when River Ward is dealing with the tiger claws if you interject it leads to a fight. It goes better if you follow his instructions and let him deal with it. Seriously I enjoy that sometimes its good to not pick a dialogue choice.
during the red queen club part, there was no dialogue over the phone. So i reloaded a save and got myself spotted and attacked. Then River showed up to help me <3 and it was more enjoyable having him there. I honestly am not sure if him not going to the club level is bug or not.
then uuuuuugh the worst of irl police "cops are my family" from Detective Han. Again ACAB "FRATERNITY OF CITY COPS RESEMBLES A [Nomad] CLAN NOT AT ALL" ok a few minutes ago i was complaining about bugs, but the character modeling in this game is good (when they're there). You can see body posture, characters jiggle their legs when they are nervous. Like I though character A was just throwing a cigarette on the ground, but then character B flinches back; I realize Char A threw it at B as a fuck you
I'm honestly curious if "I fought the Law" quest will have any impact later on. My choices were that I thought there was more going on than Holt being the only person behind this (based on how complicated the main questline heist is, and keeping an eye on some of the in game news), and told him not to take it to internal affairs, and I loved his response of how he doesn't give a shit what we think, he's doing it anyway.
In the elevator to report in, Johnny said "this muck is deeper than you think, tell them nothing", so i just said that the case was complicated. anyway i love how much of a sarcastic asshole V is
I thought i was being nonlethal with the monk quest, but it seems i accidently killed someone. RIP, but thats kind of the problem with this game. Like when i do the non lethal cyberpychosis quests I equip my non lethal modded gun and hope for the est. I like how a go here kill things quest led to Charles the ripperdoc. He's getting all his parts from scav gang members so I felt obligated to take him out. I got a police bounty for it but w/e.
I merged the Delemain fragments with the whole. Guess he's the meta now. (Side note: some of my favorite rvb fanfic plots are Ai consiousness/memory merging with the humans, so I’m having fun with this game and look foward to introspective fanfic)
Honestly Jonny made some good points, the fragments didn't deserve to die; but also destroying the core and freeing the fragments, they couldn't really function alone.
I was able to rescue Saul fine with stealth. Using cameras and the synapse overload really made it easy.  Can't use the sniper rifle reward b/c I don't have the stats for it, and while it has a silencer the fact that it's a ricochette weapon and not a shoot through walls weapons, makes it not as good imo; and theres a legendary one that is stats free for only 100k.
Lol made a pass again at Panam, and she immediately shut me down. I then did Mitch's quest and I love every time someone tells V they area  good person.
I hacked the operation carpe noctem shard, and wow the corporations are using ai to make people have cyberpsychosis, or something like that. What a shocker /s, I've played Deus Ex HR before
lol driving through the unifinished interstate, past the fight from Panam's first quest I found a "batcave" with a very nice car, and a manifesto written by "muckman'. But here's my complaint about the loot, there is a legendary top, but it had 16 armor. My current top has 84 armor, like why would i switch?? then later i found a bunker with soviet spies in it. Wild
Doing River's second quest, love the timing of as soon as you ask, why are we breaking in, someone shows up to tell you he got kicked off the force. It's funny how Johnny comments how maybe River's into you, and V just doubts Johnny's words. Love how the first kid asks River if I'm his girlfriend. also wow like oof both the second parts of Judy and River's quest are SUPER fucked UP!! oof like i stopped doing first person mode on the braindances for those quests as soon as i could, just made me too uncomfortable seeing that in first person.
DRIVING IN THE GAME IS BAD! nowhere is it more apparent than the sinnerman quest, which took me 3 times to get the driving section done, as cars spawned out of nowhere to hit me. Then when you restart, there is a bunch of dialogue it doesn't let you fast forward through. The rest of the Sinnerman questline is interesting. My V took every option to tell the dude that he was messed up, and what he was doing was wrong. idk, I was surprised how much dialogue there was that let you buy into his whole "forgiveness thing" and how there wasn't any real dialogue to call him the fuck out, that in seeking forgiveness he continues to do harm both emotional to the mother of the man he killed, but also that he got the husband killed via cop. The later follow up quest, I told him that what he is doing is crazy, studio is just going to profit off this vid. Then I refused to join him prayer, and told him fuck no i wasn't going to hammer him to the cross, or even watch. Yes, the man is scared of dying, and the corporation is exploiting him, but he keeps creating burdens for others.  I think the discussion on this quest will be interesting to read, it's definitely my own personal experience with religion coloring my view. Anyway back to a main quest, yeah i don't trust Placide, especially in that scene where he grabs my hand, then jacks in. I ran off to do most of the sidequests here and got some criticism from him. I do love how in the cinema the western movie switches to a mission brief as the netwatch agent talks. its a fun enviromental detail.  I took the netwatch offer, i don't think he's being fully honest with me, but he didn't put a virus in my head. As I told Placide later, I didn't pick a side. I like how you can then talk with the agent, who is a fan of Western movies, b/c they show "a simpler time where all good guys carry badges" :eyeroll:, and then V recommends Unforgiven, which from the wiki summary goes against that theme.
Looks like the Voodoo boys all got killed by Netwatch, but I as revenge for them trying to set me up I'm fine with it. Honestly after speaking with ai!Alt I don’t believe their plan of trying to be on good relations with AI would work.
doing the johnny flashback 2, and wow Johnny really is an asshole. Like I had gotten so used to him in side missions I forgot how self centered and unlikable he was.You constantly get prompts to drink or do drugs, which I ignored. But i do love the goth/punk love Rogue and others have.
lol i called it, when Hellman said that the engram would seek to override the host, put V on the engram. I really like how as the relic malfunctions, you wind up in the chair with a cigarette, which you can either smoke and say you are turning into Johnny or throw away. My dialogue "your problem is the ends justify the means", which is true!!! He and Rogue detonated a nuke downtown, does anyone know that, and like ask Rogue about it????
(Funny you can ask Rouge about Johnny silverhand, over the phone, then the game bugs out and spawns her npc where you are. She doens't say much about the nuke, but she does say no one trusts you for jobs). The line of no one trusting you for jobs is pretty funny at level 46 street cred where im at “respected” status. really loving the family atmosphere at River's 3rd quest. Also his big strong arms, and the fact he is no longer a cop. I totally let the kids win, and wow the family dinner where they GRILL YOU over the relationship and try to set the two of you up, then the water tower scene!!!!! I don't love the first person sex cutscenes but they do have personality. I'm glad afterwards you got to tell River about the biochip and that you might die. Because he's so far removed from your personal plot. So I took that option to back out of a relationship.
I do love that you wake up with "river's tanktop" that says "fuck the police" It actually has extremely good armor stats, so thats what I'll wear now.
panam 3rd quest, when shes like why did you help me, I'm like "because it's important to you". Basically the closest you can get to "when a friend asks for help you help them", which as an ex-nomad backstory I really choose the nomad options when ever i can Paralezes quest part 2! I love the piano song but I always think of it as ocean's 11 music. It's also fun to see the computer and see Judy recommended you for the first quest. The emails talk about "forgetting" to hire a staffer, on the balocony a strange antennia was scannable, the color of the roses was remembered wrong...  lol guess i was right with those giant wall screens. Its fun environmental details that spell things out before you can notice, and it ties into some other quests where people's behavior is being altered. Actually, this quest "Dream On" I love it! For a while I've been like "wheres the illuminati conspiracy! Here it IS! I chose to follow Elisabeth's wishes and not tell her husband he was being brainwashed. In best case they program him to forget again, in worst case he ends up dead. The gaslighting Elisabeth described is CHILLING, her husband describes a vacation she can't remember and she doesn't know whose memories have been messed with. On your way to the plaza you get a call from someone/something that says the know exactly WHAT you are, any you black out!!! It's such a great feeling of helplessness that you're just one person in a world so big that you can't fight every power. As Johnny said, could be a corporation, could be a rogue ai, either way Jefferson is fucked (and so are you).

A New Beginning
It’s the middle of 2020, the apocalypse (end of the world, doomsday, etc.), some may call it. While I agree with that sentiment to an extent, considering COVID, it is also a year of change, discovery, and revolution (viva la revolution). First things first, congratulations to all the graduating seniors of 2020, I will miss you all dearly, some more than most (wink). Second, the Black Lives Matter movement, and in that the ACAB debacle. While I acknowledge and want to honour those speaking out right now, especially Black and Indigenous people of colour, there is really only one story I feel qualified to write about, and that is mine, excuse my lamp-shading.
During a time when I was lost in my life (generally speaking, Im lost alot i mean considering the username, that much should be obvious), I turned towards law and criminology because I wanted to believe that one day I could wear a uniform that would represent safety and protection for all, and put away bad guys. I chose the career path of a police officer because I thought I could help people.
I am not a cop, to be clear, just a high school student who is so incredibly lost, they decided to start a blog, with a b, even though we are in the age of YouTube and podcasts (might start one of those if i go mad enough during this quarantine). Anyway, this is not really about the movement, although I will leave the link to a website that I think would be the most resourceful; this is place is for me to discover who I am and how I want to change the system so I fit (wow that makes me sound entitled af but hear me out).
I thought about becoming a pro bono lawyer, but there simply is no money in that and I have had past brushes with money problems and would not like to repeat that, label me a selfish.
My next thought was about working for a firm but that was immediately shut down by whatever little moral standards I have left (whew calm down edgelord69).
Politician also crossed my mind, and while I love the idea of an Asian (non binary?) female(?) queer, in a position of power; and having the ability to make change, I don’t feel comfortable when thinking about what moral boundaries I may have to cross to get there.
That leaves me with not a lot of options, I would love to be a full-time social justice feminist LGBT rights activist for all but, frankly I don’t have the mental strength to handle all that; so for now my path is any university that wants me and to join the military.
I know, I know, I just went on a whole spiel about not wanting to contribute to a broken system, but that’s not the reason I want to join the military. Also, to be honest, I don’t believe that my countries’ military is too awful... My country is more about peacekeeping and I want that. I also want stability and to be taught discipline; become more mental and physically tough. Maybe afterwards I would be strong enough to tackle the rest of the system. This is all to say, I thought I knew my path, but the world opened my eyes, and I thank you, now let see how this path changes.
~Sincerely, LostTeen

this started off as navelgazing about a line from a book, then turned into an anxious rant about current events
“Inborn in nearly every artist is a tendency to accept injustice if it creates beauty” (Death in Venice, 21). well, idk about inborn, bc i had to go out of my way to shed the opposite tendency, but i do think it’s true that this mentality is necessary for… art and also other kinds of thought, anything where you need unfettered curiosity. but the painting of it as a vice interests me lately, because i’m starting to think i may have gone too far in this direction? the quoted line speaks to an assumption that indignation is a thing you should practice whenever relevant so you don’t lose it. that if something strikes you as unfair, you should always prioritize that impression over everything else you might notice about the situation that provokes that response. in this scene, that even though it’s not clear how it would help anyone for aschenbach to disapprove of this family’s treatment of the three daughters, it’s still a vice for him to brush it aside because he likes watching the son whose personality he thinks results from this favoritism.
i think we assume this because we fear that failing to deplore an instance of injustice when we see it makes us complicit? which, in and of itself, is clearly not true; that’s just thoughtcrime. like: unless you maintain that it’s his responsibility to tell the parents off, or to do something nice for the girls to compensate,* there’s no reason to view aschenbach’s feeling of “yeah well that sucks but it’s interesting to watch” as any worse than thinking “those terrible parents! how dare they deprive three out of four of their kids in this way”? bc there’s no consequential difference.
but. i think… maybe there is something to be said for cultivating this habit? because, at least for me, this kinda has led to a sort of complacency, a feeling that it’s not my place to judge people (or that there’s nothing i can do to fix injustice when i see it, but mostly the first thing: i tend to assume i don’t know enough about other people’s situations to judge, much less to try to correct or advise people). and that’s true??? like, in part i think this mental habit must have grown out of the axiom not to give medical advice to chronically ill people. i… have a tendency to internalize advice across the board, rather than situationally. i.e., to take this as meaning, “people know more about their own problems than you do,” and also, as meaning, “they’re already doing their best; nobody fails on purpose.” and generalizing that to situations where the “failure” is one of cruelty rather than of just not being as healthy/happy as it seems to you people should be. like: i have rooted out just-world hypothesis so thoroughly, i have so much contempt for that “obviously it’s possible to be better” mentality, that i apply it even when what i see looks to me like. someone being mean to their children. and to a certain extent this seems right to me??? like, parents fearing everyone around them thinks they’re evil because their kid is crying, when really all they deprived this poor child of is a piece of candy she found on the floor, is a real thing, and, i honestly cannot think of a time when i’ve seen a parent say or do something harsh to their child where something like this couldn’t easily have been the explanation. plus, the possibility they might take it out on their children still exists!
but i think maybe the specifics here are confusing the question? either that or the question is so abstract/fake that it’s not one i need to answer. so here: the root of my anxiety is this: i sometimes worry there’s something wrong with me because i’m not obsessed with the BLM protests going on, or at least, not in the way so many people imply i should be. it’s not that i lack empathy for the victims?—i do tear up when i think too hard about george floyd, or that man with the food cart who used to serve the cops for free. it’s just… that this sense of injustice doesn’t lead to any conviction. i don’t feel the righteousness of the protests; i’m detached enough to wonder intellectually about their effectiveness. although?? i guess that’s not wholly true either, because when i first heard about them my very first thought was “OH GOD NO NOT THIS AGAIN! YOU’RE ALL GONNA GET KILLED!”—a combination of fear at what might (…would, from today’s perspective) happen to the people involved, and dismay at the knowledge i was going to have to perform supportiveness about it.
for the record: i do think police brutality is evil, and that the police are corrupt and overpowered and groomed to be racist; also, from what i’ve heard, the protests have helped create a lot of policy changes, so from that standpoint i guess i support them. or, at least, congratulate them on a job well done. but: i think holding protests during a pandemic is fucking insane, especially since the thing protestors demand a stop to is unnecessary death. people keep telling me this is a crucial moment for the black community, and i think that at this point that’s true, but, afaik there’s no good strategic reason we can point to for why it had to be now, and i don’t like… well ok, let me start again. i wouldn’t mind having to say “yeah, well, straw that broke the camel’s back,” if i didn’t feel like that excuse precluded all criticism of the protests’ timing.** in my own life, when i reflect on times in my life when i’ve done things whose consequences i regret, i often have to conclude that under the circumstances i can’t have expected anything better from myself. but i still get to say i shouldn’t have done that. maybe i’m being greedy with my cake here, i just. ugh. it just pisses me off, the hypocrisy about covid, because the whole point of lockdowns and social distancing &c. was that no one person’s or group’s interests outweigh the risks to the human race at large. but now it’s apparently more important for even the unaffected members of said human race to stand in solidarity with the minorities who are affected by this latest crisis--as in, literally stand there, in public, right next to them, even if that means that two weeks later they come down with the plague. like?? you can’t even say “but this is a matter of life and death”! because covid is an even wider-reaching matter of life and death!!!!
also, the most common justification i hear is that the number of horrible things we’ve seen the police inflict on protestors proves we need to keep protesting. and politically speaking that does seem to be working? but IT’S STILL KIND OF FUCKING GHOULISH to hear that we as a nation have a responsibility to give the cops more opportunities to kill innocent people. like. i can intellectually say “yes, you’re right, i think it’s working,” but i can’t seem to feel that as a duty or a righteous cause.
…what was my point again? oh right: that i worry this makes me a Bad Person, or at least that everyone around me would think i was a Bad Person if i told them how i felt. and that i specifically worry my emotions are wrong, because i should be having… the kind of patriotism proust talks about (though for BLM and the left &c. rather than for america itself, obviously), but instead i’m like “aaagh ok fine if you have to but GOD I WISH THIS WOULD STOP.” and apparently, wanting it to stop means siding with the oppressors. and i guess… god, do you know what it is? honestly, i’m so short-sighted that a return to the status quo does sound better to me than this chaos. i don’t disbelieve people who assert that only a bitter fight like this can force change? intellectually i think maybe that’s true. but emotionally, i hate it, and on an animal level i don’t really believe it. the animal in me believes only that positive change is slow and unsatisfying, regardless of how you accomplish it.
*both of which seem to me Too Risky because option a might end with their harassing the girls over it (e.g., “this stranger over here thinks you’re being mistreated. if he only knew you like i do…!”), while option b, coming from an older, solitary man, might strike both the girls and their parents as a creepy, lecherous thing, in which case the girls might view it as insulting or even traumatizing rather than as a favor to them.
**especially the timing of protests like the one in my own town last weekend. they marched to the city police station--even though the one widely-known violent incident in our town in the last decade was perpetrated by the university police department--on, afaict, general ACAB principle. my friend who attended says the anger felt real, not just like a performance, but they weren’t agitating for any concrete changes here, you know?? so idg why it was worth infecting people.

So back in September I exchanged some messages with a complete imbecile called “lala-slave-labor”; then they made a post where they published the conversation, framing it as “crazy person tried to convert me”. Even though all I did was pointing out that their idea of “free speech” was completely impossible, because...
They initially claimed that limiting the speech of bigots is not “freedom”.
However, I pointed out that, when bigots are left free to spread hate speech, this INEVITABLY results in bigots limiting the speech of their victims.
Therefore, Lala’s solution was that bigots and marginalized people should “compromise”.
...Which is against Lala’s definition of “freedom” (see point 1).
Anyway, Lala deactivated, but SYABM was one of the few people who reblogged it, uncritically siding with Lala (because of COURSE he is). Anyway, post under the cut.
For easier reading, Lala’s messages are bolded, while mine are not.
lala-slave-labor + aridara
lala-slave-labor I have seen your posts. Do you honestly believe everything you post? Do you honestly believe everyone else that is sane is with you on this?
09/03/2020 aridara Be more vague.
09/03/2020 lala-slave-labor The shit you post a lot about
09/03/2020 aridara MORE.
lala-slave-labor Shit you were postin’ yesterday, you dense mother fucker.
aridara M O R E
lala-slave-labor Do you fight for racial justice? since you’re a daft cunt
aridara Yes.
lala-slave-labor ACAB?
aridara The system is completely fucked up, from how management completely fails to make cops take responsibility for pretty much anything, to how cops are trained. So more like “tear down everything and start over”.
lala-slave-labor Everything?
aridara Yep.
lala-slave-labor Even how America does elections?
aridara What does the USA electoral system have to do with the USA police system?
lala-slave-labor the politicians set how the cops do their job
aridara Hold on, you mean the USA presidential elections or… pretty much every other political election in the USA? Given that they use two very different systems?
lala-slave-labor The politicians make the policies.
Are you even American?
aridara No.
lala-slave-labor Yet America is a racist country?
aridara Maybe you should ask non-white people in America.
lala-slave-labor I am not-white
aridara With all due respect, you are one and they are legion.
lala-slave-labor non-whites are a hive mind? A collective? We all believe the same things?
aridara No.
lala-slave-labor “you’re the only one and they are legion” you so sure?
aridara It’s similar to your body: every cell has a different opinion, and yet you aren’t dissolving in a pile of molten flesh just because half your body wants to go in one direction and half in another.
lala-slave-labor Do all or 90+% black people hate cops? Are cops killing blacks because they’re black?
aridara 1) I don’t know. Probably.
2) They are much more harsh towards black people for no reason* other that they’re black. (*: Reasons that are directly contradicted by their actions are ignored.)
lala-slave-labor I haven’t been shot or arrested because I’m not white. None of the other non-whites here haven’t been shot. Where are you getting your information?
aridara ……Are you claiming that non-white Americans do NOT get shot? Because that’s wizardry.
lala-slave-labor Mostly by non-white people… Have you been to American big cities?
aridara Fun fact: most crimes involving white criminals affect white people. And yet, white people have literally never cared about white-on-white crime. To your question: no.
lala-slave-labor Because, at least where I live (a 90+% white state, with a sub-10% crime rate), no one gets shot or arrested. It’s big news when it happens, and that’s because it happens…ohhhh, maybe once a year, if not rarer.
lala-slave-labor Where are you getting your information?
09/03/2020 aridara God.
lala-slave-labor What? Straight up… Gee Oh Dee God?
aridara Also lots of people, for They are Her creation, and They are the Many to Her One.
lala-slave-labor How do you feel about gay people? Trans people?
aridara They face a lot of discrimination and should get the same rights as everyone else. Also, I don’t get why transphobes are literally obsessed with genitals - especially those of children. It’s super creepy.
lala-slave-labor God does not approve. And God is just and good. Soooooo
aridara Different God.
lala-slave-labor There’s only 1 God. But which God is this?
aridara In pretty much all monotheistic religions, the name of the god is literally the word for “god”.
lala-slave-labor “they’re all the same”
aridara No, they are not. Christianity is a lot different than Islam, for instance.
lala-slave-labor Islam always kills the gays based religion
aridara Nope. There’s tons of Islam currents that are pro-LGBT.
lala-slave-labor That’s a vast minority.
aridara Fun fact: there were quite a few major currents in the Middle Ages where forcibily converting other people into Islam was punished with exile at best, death penalty at worst. Also, “vast minority” is pretty inaccurate.
lala-slave-labor Have you spoken to many muslims?
aridara Yes.
lala-slave-labor More than 1000
aridara They treat people like ISIS in the same way I would treat, say, Mussolini. And yes. Have YOU?
lala-slave-labor You won’t believe me.
aridara I believe a lot of things.
lala-slave-labor like Social Justice?
aridara But, admittedly, not EVERYTHING. For example… Do you know someone in real life well enough that you know their tumblr username, and yet you have no idea what their name is?
lala-slave-labor No
aridara Exactly.
lala-slave-labor Nice deflection.
aridara I got someone claiming that ten people do that: they know me in real life well enough to know what’s my Tumblr blog, but not my name.
It’s whack.
lala-slave-labor Do you believe in that social justice?
aridara But enough venting.
Yes, I DO believe in Social Justice.
lala-slave-labor Yikes you have a lot of mental illnesses, don’t you?
aridara No. But I have scoliosis.
aridara …You’re searching “scoliosis” on Wikipedia, aren’t you.
lala-slave-labor Crooked spine no I know a chick with that condition But I digress, do people who don’t believe in social justice have mental illnesses?
aridara No?!? That’s like saying that people who prefer Star Trek to Star Wars have mental illnesses. It’s nonsense.
lala-slave-labor Didn’t you recently post “Trump supporters are racist”?
aridara I’m pretty sure that I did. And I stand by it.
That, or they’re ACCIDENTALLY racist.
And honestly, I don’t know which is worse.
lala-slave-labor I guess I, a non-white, is racist somehow
aridara By supporting a massive racist, which fucks over non-white people in general you included? Yes.
lala-slave-labor And an immigrant
aridara Look, if you voted for a guy so racist that frikkin NIXON told him to cut it off, maybe you should pause and think about what you’re doing.
lala-slave-labor He’s better than Biden, by miles.
aridara In terms of bigotry or in terms of competence?
lala-slave-labor Both
aridara Because we’re talking about the guy who managed to bankrupt a casino. Multiple times. How the FUCK do you manage to bankrupt a casino.
lala-slave-labor That’s retarded, bro
aridara I guess if you get bombed, or if there’s some kind of natural disaster… But neither of these applies to Trumpadilladilladome, house of the Drumpatilladimmsdimmatrumbadillampadome. ™
lala-slave-labor “he ain’t competent, he let a business go bankrupt hurr hurr” My people, my neighbors matter. The rest of world can burn for all I care.
aridara MULTIPLE businesses go bankrupt. Including ones that, if you start up with some capital (like him), they’re pretty much impossible to bankrupt. Hold on, let me Google it.
lala-slave-labor Trump has been good for my community. We also don’t have many dead by cop black people here
aridara Six bankruptcies (is that the plural for “bankruptcy”?) between hotels and casinos.
lala-slave-labor Outta how many?
aridara I don’t know about the hotels, but casinos have a 100% bankruptcy rate.
lala-slave-labor Yet our economy, pre-covid, was amazing.
aridara 5 casinos. Until he decided to intervene personally, instead of changing the directives of Obama and Bush. Trump Steaks evaporated.
lala-slave-labor I support racism, bro. Nothin’ wrong with that.
aridara As for Trump University [pre-registered laughter] Racism is pseudoscience.
lala-slave-labor “we’re all the same”
aridara In big numbers? Yes.
lala-slave-labor If racism is fake pseudoscience, how come we gotta end racism? It ain’t real.
aridara Because a lot of people still believe that it’s not only true, but a valid science.
lala-slave-labor Where are you getting these sources?
aridara “Oh, look, I proved that black people have a much lower IQ than white ones! I compared poor black people that couldn’t finish school because they had to work to support their own families, and white college students that studied how to solve IQ tests for years!” That was from Stormfront, by the way. Not an exact quote - obviously - but the sentiment was there.
lala-slave-labor And yet I put in less work but got better grades than my white peers. It benefit me, so not a problem.
aridara With all the due respect, you have a Spider Georg situation.
lala-slave-labor what?
lala-slave-labor Is it because I’m not white?!
lala-slave-labor But I don’t eat spiders.
lala-slave-labor Why are you commenting in American politics?
aridara Spite. Also, America influences the rest of the world, for better or for worse. For example, Trump’s election significantly increased the amount of right-winf extremists in my country, followed by a sharp increase in the suicide rate of said extremists.
lala-slave-labor Sorry you live in a country that is so weak that other nations can mess with it. I don’t go around saying “hey, guys and gals from (your country), don’t vote for that guy”. You don’t have that PRIVILEGE.
lala-slave-labor Your country affects America, too. But I don’t go around tellin’ your people who to vote for.
lala-slave-labor Why are you so spiteful? What’d Trump (and/or America) do to you?
aridara Do I have to list all the waya Trump messed up with international politics and encouraged the rise of right-wing extremists in pretty much all of Europe? Not to mention the fact that he is Putin’s ally, to the point of repeatedly breaking the law for free just to save hostile Russian agents?
lala-slave-labor Right-wing bad, huh? You’re the good guys, on the right side of history, yeah?
lala-slave-labor Freedom is absolute. Everyone can say what they want, and it’s not a crime. Someone said a slur? So what, they have that damn freedom.
lala-slave-labor From what my aunt and grand mother said, in Germany, Merkle invited them in herself. Did it to themselves.
lala-slave-labor They orchestrated the fall of the EU. No one liked the EU. There was never any good reason to stick with that fascist hell state.
lala-slave-labor humans yearn, nay DEMAND freedom!
aridara Funny, because hate crimes - including murder - significantly increased. By the way: absolute free speech is impossible. You either limit bigotry, or you end up with bigotry’s victims being silenced.
lala-slave-labor And we have a moral mandate to stop discrimination and hate speech?
aridara I mean, if you don’t want people like us advocating in favor of sending people like you + your families + your friends death and rape threats every single day for the rest of your life. Especially the children.
lala-slave-labor What’re you proposing we do to ensure all is safe and welcome? We can’t just let everyone do as they please, right? I mean, words kill, right?
09/04/2020 lala-slave-labor What do you think of…Yuri Besmenov?
09/04/2020 aridara The idea is pretty simple: if you advocate in favor of discriminating against, deporting and/or harming entire groups of people for no reason other that said groups exist, you go fuck yourself, and people have the right to take you at face value. And I never heard of Besmenov.
lala-slave-labor Freedom is absolute. He called this social justice stuff back in the 80’s, to a T but everyone is pissed at him because he made them (rightly) look like inhuman monsters who hate freedom.
lala-slave-labor Do you want to ban freedom or let people be discriminated against?
09/04/2020 aridara Do you want to ban the freedom of bigots, or the freedom of the bigots’ victims?
lala-slave-labor why do we have to ban either?
aridara Because here’s the thing: every single time “advocating in favor of discriminating / deporting / harming an entire groups of people for no reason other that said groups exist” was freely allowed, EVERY single time it got worse to the point that said groups of people were threatened and harmed into silence.
So, we can’t have both. It’s one or the other. So, what do you pick? The bigota? Or their victims?
lala-slave-labor For no good reason, huh? Is it really because racism?
aridara In absence of any other reason*, yes. (*: Claiming that your reason is X doesn’t count if it is demonstrated that your reason is NOT X.)
lala-slave-labor So what the native populace wants isn’t a valid reason? We should just try to accommodate everyone from all cultures in the same neighborhood?
aridara Did you actually read what I wrote?
lala-slave-labor Yes. Different cultures cannot coexist.
aridara They have. Throughout history. I mean, random example: the UNITED States of America.
lala-slave-labor It’s mostly white, Christians
aridara So are Italy, Spain and Germany, and yet they’re very different cultures. Like the USA. The USA are 50 different cultures in a trench coat.
lala-slave-labor Most of America is white people. Most of America is Judeo-Christian.
aridara So are Italy, Spain and Germany. And yet they are extremely different cultures.
lala-slave-labor They don’t have freedom. Freedom or bust
aridara You don’t know that “culture” means more than race and religion, do you?
lala-slave-labor Do you, as an Non-American, know what freedom is?
aridara Do you? Is it “I can do whatever the fuck I want, and fuck everyone else”?
lala-slave-labor I can cause offense without having the government all up on my ass.
lala-slave-labor I can legally own guns.
lala-slave-labor As long as it’s not a threat or you’ve been asked to leave, you can generally do what you want. Wanna spray slurs on the road? GO FOR IT wanna call entire groups of people names? GO FOR IT The government literally can’t stop you unless you start affecting other people. and no, calling say, gays, mean things isn’t “government gonna stop you” worthy. Can you do ANY OF THAT where you come from? without getting arrested or “given a talking to by the local cops”
lala-slave-labor all you’re saying is “I don’t like x, if you do x, you’re a shit person and I’m better” and “You’re X. I don’t care if I’m wrong, you’re X.”
lala-slave-labor That basically shuts down all conversation. It’s proving you’ve got nothing of value to say. It’s why you and others like you with your points pull that.
lala-slave-labor There is a third option to your question. Don’t get the government involved, and let the people themselves solve the issue. Don’t want foreigners around? Kicked out. And they aren’t wrong for it. Foreigners might radically change the neighborhood to something the locals find offensive and obscene.
lala-slave-labor Unless you can grasp that “let people solve their problems” by taking a third option to your query, stay the fuck out of American politics.
lala-slave-labor Last point: the victim can use freedom of speech to get the bigot thrown in jail. They aren’t helpless…usually. Though, that usually is just the mentally ill ones.
aridara Nope. As I said, either you defend bigotry; or you defend the victims of bigotry. Can’t defend both.
For example, in your scenario, bigots are allowed to call for the deportation of gay and “foreign” (read: anyone of the “wrong” race) people, for absolutely no reason besides “those people dare to exist”. This inevitably escalates into harassment, threats and crimes, until gay and foreign people are silenced and kicked out. Voilà: total freedom of speech is lost, because entire groups of people are now unjustly silenced. We saw this happen literally every time bigotry was freely allowed. Every. Single. Time. But it’s clear that you would pick the bigots. “Don’t want foreigners around? Kick them out.”
09/04/2020 lala-slave-labor Fine, you fucking retard. Yes, I’ll defend the bigots. Now fuck off with that “they might silence people” moralistic bullshit. Yes, it is as you say, people will get treated like shit because they aren’t locals. You’re so fuckin’ hung up on it. “b-but the victims they bsbdoifjweoij” “you can’t defend both” why not? Because I HAVE TO PICK A SIDE Is that how this works?
lala-slave-labor I don’t have to pick a side. People are dying daily in America, but guess fucking what, I don’t have to give a fuck, you European cunt. You’re basically saying “we should protect everyone”. You realize what happens when we strip away freedom right?
lala-slave-labor No one in America genuinely likes you Europeans. We all openly mock you.
lala-slave-labor “but they might kill themselves” yeah and? That’s not my problem. They’re free to do that. So long as they aren’t taking other people with them, far be it from me or anyone else to stop them.
lala-slave-labor If you place the safety of the people above all else, you get tyranny. And if I see any tyranny, it’s my duty as a patriotic American to kill it.
lala-slave-labor Freedom is absolute. It allows people to be harmed by assholes, but if it goes away, everyone will have 0 rights, not just those stupid foreigners you so love to “care” for. But hey, I’m not a tyrant-in-the-making, like some people. Because, newsflash, asshole, everyone is equal in America. It’s literally illegal to be treated like shit by government and jobs because of what or who you are, within reason.
lala-slave-labor You are going to have to restrict someone’s rights. Who, then, will be on the receiving end? The bigots? That rapes their rights. The victims? Again, rapes their rights. Not only that, but it kills the rights.
lala-slave-labor You’re being a moral guardian-type busy body. No sane, rational American liked you assholes in the 90’s with that Satanic Panic bullshit, and we sure as shit don’t fucking like it now with this puritan, social justice bullshit. So yes, I’m gonna defend the bigots. But I’m also gonna defend the victims you say you care for. Because it’s my duty to protect the rights of all within my country. Sure, people might kill themselves, but the alternative is a dystopian “utopia”.
lala-slave-labor So, until you, a collectivist prick, gets it through your thick fucking skull that you don’t have to side with either bigots or their victims, that you can defend both, stay the fuck out American politics.
lala-slave-labor I am not taking your shit. Speak plainly, you wanna make a world where all are safe from being emotionally harmed.
09/04/2020 aridara Are you done? The fact is that you cannot defend the speech of both bigots and their victims. Is one or the other.
aridara Literally every single time I asked people to find me ONE place where 1) “Advocating in favor of discriminating/deporting/harming entire groups of people for no reason other that said groups exist” was freely allowed; AND 2) Where that decision did NOT result into the bigotry becoming way wider-spread and worse, and the bigotry’s victims getting silenced,
- nobody answwred. Because it’s utterly impossible. You can’t defend both. You defend bigotry, you give up the rights of the victims of bigotry. You are not American.
aridara You said it yourself: unless you defend EVERYONE’s rights, you aren’t American.
09/04/2020 lala-slave-labor I don’t have to live by people from Syria, Nigeria, Algeria, Greece, Japan, China, Peru, Mexico, let alone anyone else. You won’t be honest about what you’re trying to say. If they immigrate LEGALLY, they won’t get deported. I’ve been here for 28 years. I came in legally. I don’t fear deportation. Comes with citizenship.
lala-slave-labor If you’re a citizen, you won’t be treated like shit by the government.
lala-slave-labor My father’s family has been here for 200 or so years, if not longer. But we have to share HIS LAND with people who weren’t even born here, that no one has ever met?
lala-slave-labor His side of my family has spent the first 200 years I know of booting foreigners. They don’t have a right to our land. They aren’t OUR people.
lala-slave-labor I’m not gonna stop the bigot from calling blacks niggers, calling trans people trannies, and all other manners of slurs. But I’m also not gonna stop the victim from contacting the proper authorities to deal with it. The issues doesn’t involve us. It’s between the two engaged. But hey, I’m debating a retard online what can’t even be honest about what he’s activisting about. I’m not about to rob the victim, as you keep pointing out, of their agency. They don’t NEED any help. But what can I say? I’m not on the right side of history, am I? Out with your intentions. Lying is a sin. You market your beliefs, removing the negative parts. Have you not thought of the consequences to these ideas? Or do you just not care?
aridara Not what you said. You said that, if the people don’t want to stay around “foreigners” (read: people of the wrong race), then they have the right to remove them from the country.
lala-slave-labor It’s not a race thing, you doofus.
aridara Also, again: there is NO space where freely allowing hate speech did NOT end up with the victims of bigotry being silenced. None. Zero. Nada. Nothing. Which means: you either defend hate speech, or you defend the victims of bigotry. Can’t defend both. In either case, according to you, you are against freedom.
Sucks to be you.
lala-slave-labor RIGHT… As if the victim can’t use their freedom of speech to bring the bigot to fucking justice. Or just fucking walk away! You’re assuming everyone is as weak as you! Insulting. That is not “silencing” you are FREE to make your fucking comments YOU ARE NOT ENTILTED FOR PEOPLE TO LISTEN TO THEM OR TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY it’s not SILENCE SILENCE IS TO STRIP YOUR RIGHT TO TALK them not wanting you to talk, is not silence Maybe them not wanting you to talk for a very good fucking reason It’s not silence, you retard. You know naught of freedom!
aridara Nope - they cannot. Again: if it was possible, then there should be at least ONE space where hate speech was freely allowed, but where the victims of bigots were still allowed to speak.
But there is not. No amount of religious fundamentalism will change that.
lala-slave-labor Then I should be dead. I face those bigots daily.
aridara Give it some time.
lala-slave-labor Give it time?
aridara Hate speech becomes harassment, which becomes discrimination, which becomes violence.
lala-slave-labor What, I’m so weak, I’ll kill myself?
aridara No. It means that the bigots escalate until they straight-up kill you. See for example what happened in America in recent years.
lala-slave-labor What do you speak of? The George Floyd thing?
aridara No, that was just one of the last steps. I’m talking about the progressive worsening of police racism, coupled with “law and order” politics that heavily disadvantaged black people and immigrants, coupled with multiple economic crises and an epidemic, coupled with one of the most patethic presidencies in USA history. Coupled with a president who blatantly aligns himself with white supremacists. Good job: you now are on the brink of a civil war. And your Dear Leader is doing PRECISELY what he shouldn’t be doing in this kind of situation - which ensures that the situation WILL escalate. Enjoy your next six years.
lala-slave-labor Then what is Antifa to you? And BLM? hell, what does Brexit mean to you, while we’re at it.
lala-slave-labor How has Trump allied with white supremacist
lala-slave-labor Where are you getting all this information?
lala-slave-labor ‘tis not the illusion of freedom, that which America prospers under. ‘twould appear as so you are jealous, to be frank.
09/05/2020 aridara Antifa and BLM are a decentralized movement without an actual leadership. Brexit is the result of extreme nationalism, which is notoriously short-sighted.
aridara Among other things, Trump repeatedly employs nationalist policies, and heavily prioritizes attacking non-white immigrants over attacking illegal immigrants.
aridara I get my information from various sources. But my knowledge of how the USA is going towards civil war? That comes rfrom FM 3-24.
lala-slave-labor What’s wrong with nationalism? Are borders bad, or something?
lala-slave-labor Plus, like, everyone who is in a place, regardless of if they’ve been allowed in said place, should just be allowed to like, do as they please, with the full rights of people who have lived there their entire lives, right?
lala-slave-labor So, tell me somethin’, will ya? What’s more important? Freedom or feelings? Because you refuse to answer simple questions, I must spell it out for you.
lala-slave-labor Are you just? Are you on the right side of history? I think I know the answer, but it’s best to get it straight from the horses mouth, as they say.
09/05/2020 aridara Extreme nationalism (like white nationalism - which must not be  confused with nationalism in mostly-white nations, they’re different things) is actively harmful, as demonstrated throughout history. No, I don’t think there should be borders. Again: your feelings on the matter are completely irrelevant. You either defend the speech of bigots, or you defend the speech of the victims of bigotry - there is no magic third option. And yes, I do think that I am on the right side of history.
lala-slave-labor Because people get killed, I have to pick a side?! Are you fucking crazy?!
aridara Yep. You either pick the side where bigotry escalates until people get killed; or you pick the side where you limit bigoted speech.
lala-slave-labor ahahahaha no You’re gonna have to kill me.
aridara Again: there’s no third option.
Literally every single time I’ve asked me to bring ONE example where they defended both bigotry and the victims, they failed. Whine all you want, die all you want; these are the facts. If that makes you die, then you are doomed to perish no matter what I or you do.
lala-slave-labor The just thing to do is to strip rights away from assholes you don’t like?
aridara Stripping the rights of others is not a right. Bigotry, unless opposed, inevitably strips others of their rights. Do the math.
aridara Let me put it this way: if someone unjustly attacks you, and the only way out is to kill them, you have the right to kill in self-defense, right?
lala-slave-labor Every psychopath in history thinks they’re in the right. That’s what having twisted principles will do to you.
aridara But if you are the one unjustly attacking someone with deadly force, and they have no other option except to kill you to survive… do you still have the right to kill in self-defense? After all, they ARE attacking you with deadly force…
lala-slave-labor yep You think this is proving your point?
lala-slave-labor We must be intolerant of intolerance, yeah? Even though we’re the tolerant ones, right? what if I think your words are harmful or bigoted? Do I get to just kill you? Why do you get to decide that? What gives you the right? crap, autocorrect I and me, not you and you. what if I think your words are harmful or bigoted? Do I get to just kill you? Why do I get to decide that? What gives me the right? there, better.
aridara So, basically, what you’re saying is that we should allow the victim to kill the murderer AND allow the murderer to kill the victim, right? You don’t see any problem with this?
lala-slave-labor You see a problem with that? Do you hate fascism? Is everyone on Trumps side a fascist by virtue of being on Trumps side?
aridara You have a problem.
lala-slave-labor yes I’m a retard lol
lala-slave-labor Now answer the question.
09/05/2020 aridara Yes and yes.
09/05/2020 lala-slave-labor Thank you for taking the time to out yourself.
lala-slave-labor If you respond, I’ll have to do something drastic.
09/05/2020 aridara You literally had two world wars where you decided that fascism was bad.
09/05/2020 lala-slave-labor You’re a good little idiot. They will kill you if you don’t keep up, if you aren’t useful to them.
lala-slave-labor And don’t go thinkin’ “I won’t be killed over this by my own party”. Hate to see it, but it happens. A lot. You don’t think BTLM? FUCKING FASCIST!
and then you’re getting death threats. Then they’re attacking you in the streets. You never said Black Trans Lives Mattered or not. But you never said they didn’t.
lala-slave-labor You’ll one day become a fascist to them. All because they keep changing the rules. Eventually, it gets to a point where…enough is enough.
lala-slave-labor You cannot accommodate every identity. Some identities want the rest dead. I’m not the judgemental, tyrannical fascist here. YOU ARE.
lala-slave-labor You have become the thing you hate. Because eventually, you will be branded a heretic.
aridara No, I won’t. Antifas haven’t killed anyone in the USA in the last 25 years. Meanwhile, Trumpers alone have killed multiple people. Same goes for BLM and white supremacists.
lala-slave-labor Is antifa not an organization? They have chapters like you would the Free Masons.
aridara You know how I’m 100% sure I won’t get branded as a fascist? Because I’m not a fascist.
And don’t give me any of that “Antifa calls EVERY innocent who disagrees with them 'Nazi’!” bullshit. It didn’t work with the neo-Nazis at the Unite The Right rally, it won’t work now.
lala-slave-labor Where are the neo-nazis?
aridara And yes, we CAN accommodate every identity. What we can’t accommodate is bigots. Can I replace your eyes? Because they clearly aren’t working.
lala-slave-labor So how do we get rid of bigots?
aridara We need to replace your ears, too. In fact, I think this is a “just throw away the whole suitcase” situation. Anyway, step one is to find a wall.
lala-slave-labor If you don’t accommodate bigots, are you really accommodating everyone? Find a wall? And what, pray tell, will happen once we find said wall?
aridara Get closer to it until your nose almost touches it.
lala-slave-labor And then?
aridara Then you stare at it for the next 30 years, without distracting yourself. Every 6 months, make some kind of noise so that we can know that you’re still alive.
It’s very easy. While you are at it, think about ONE single space where bigotry was freely allowed and you could accommodate for both bigots AND their victims.
lala-slave-labor Is that what you’re calling execution?
aridara No.
lala-slave-labor That’s the part where you shoot them in the head for being a bigot. I’ve seen videos of that happening. Hundreds.
aridara Nope.
lala-slave-labor Let me guess: fake news meant to make the good guys look bad.
aridara No, it means that’s not what I am doing. Of course, there’s always The Alternative. But you won’t like that.
lala-slave-labor The Alternative?
aridara Yep, The Alternative.
lala-slave-labor And that is?
aridara Are you sure that you want to know it?
lala-slave-labor I wanna be on the right side of history.
aridara Because it would require to sacrifice a fundamental part of what makes you “you”.
lala-slave-labor And that is?
aridara Your concept of “freedom”. Not freedom itself; just the way you are currently interpreting it.
lala-slave-labor Just toss it? Why? What’s wrong with it? Victims killing themselves?
aridara You can discover it only by taking The Alternative.
lala-slave-labor And do what, make America more like Europe?
aridara No. More like how America was supposed to be.
lala-slave-labor And how was that? A place where everyone is/was supposed to be safe from anything they dislike or were uncomfortable with?
aridara No. But you’ll have to take The Alternative to find out.
Are you sure that you want to know what it is?
lala-slave-labor You keep dancing around it. Just out with it.
aridara It’s pretty simple:
Just admit that you cannot accomodate both bigots and the victims of bigotry.
lala-slave-labor And then what? How do we solve that?
aridara The first step is to accept it. You still haven’t.
lala-slave-labor Why? Because it isn’t allowed where you live?
aridara Your concept of “freedom” requires you to find a way to accommodate them both. Your concept of “freedom” is based on the assumption that such a thing is possible.
lala-slave-labor Yes. It is. It happens here.
aridara This is what I meant by “you must throw away your concept of freedom”.
Because you must accept that it’s impossible.
lala-slave-labor Then what’s the correct definition of freedom then?
aridara You have black people killed for no reason other that they’re black. Gay and trans people tortured until they go insane and kill themselves. People being arrested for no charges. You don’t have freedom.
lala-slave-labor Right, that guy I nearly killed was for no fucking reason.
aridara And you sure as hell you aren’t accommodating both the bigots and their victims at the same time. Only the former.
lala-slave-labor Prick deserves a fate worse than death. Why can’t we be allowed to have bigots?
aridara You must accept that your concept of “freedom” is impossible. Only then you can heal. Until then, you are trapped in your delusions. Why you can’t have bigots?
lala-slave-labor Yeah. Why can’t we?
aridara Because if you have them, then their victims lose their rights. And that goes against your concept of “freedom”. So, you must stop bigots.
lala-slave-labor Why do they lose rights? Because some prick is bein’ mean to them? They can’t fight back?
aridara But if you stop the bigots, then they lise their right to be bigots. And that goes against your concept of “freedom”. So you must allow bigotry. But if you allow bigotry, then the victims of bigotry end up losing their rights. And that goes against your concept of “freedom”.
So, you must stop bigots.
lala-slave-labor Good. As intended.
aridara But if you stop the bigots, then they lose their right to be bigots. And that goes against your concept of “freedom”.
So you must allow bigotry. But if you allow bigotry, then the victims of bigotry end up losing their rights. And that goes against your concept of “freedom”.
So, you must stop bigots. But if you stop the bigots, then they lose their right to be bigots. And that goes against your concept of “freedom”.
So you must allow bigotry. But if you allow bigotry, then the victims of bigotry end up losing their rights. And that goes against your concept of “freedom”.
So, you must stop bigots.
lala-slave-labor No I don’t.
aridara But if you stop the bigots, then they lose their right to be bigots.
So you must allow bigotry.
lala-slave-labor I don’t have to stop the bigots, nor do I have to save the victims.
aridara Yes, you do. Your concept of “freedom” requires it.
lala-slave-labor Your concept of freedom is shit. It’s no wonder why both World Wars started in that shithole of a continent.
aridara No, it’s YOUR concept. You want to accommodate everyone’s rights: both those of bigots, and those of their victims So, if you limit bigotry, you are anti-freedom.
lala-slave-labor Why do we have to limit rights?
aridara And if you allow bigots to take away their victims’ rights, you’re also anti-freedom.
lala-slave-labor No.
aridara Yes. You said so. You wanted to accommodate both of them.
lala-slave-labor I don’t have to, nor am I compelled by emotion, save either.
aridara Well, go ahead. Do it. Or perish trying. And if you don’t want to do it…
…why do you hate freedom?
lala-slave-labor Do you even have freedom?
aridara Do you? I’m sure that you don’t.
lala-slave-labor I do.
aridara You either defend bigots, which means that their victims lose their rights, and freedom is lost…
lala-slave-labor I can go around screaming “nigger tranny faggot get the hose” and shit and nothing happens.
aridara …Or you stop bigots, which means that THEY lose their rights, and freedom is lost.
lala-slave-labor I can do that all day.
aridara You are encouraging bigotry to spread. And the more it spreads, the worse it gets. Until bigots kill people.
lala-slave-labor And?!
aridara Which is against freedom.
lala-slave-labor big fuckin’ whoop
aridara Why do you hate freedom?
lala-slave-labor that is what it means to be free.
aridara Hating freedom means being free? Not having freedom means being free? Preserving the freedom of some, but not others, is “protecting freedom”? Is that why they hated you?
lala-slave-labor Right, the victim of bigotry has no rights. The cops will totes just side with the bigot. Is that how this works?
aridara When bigotry spreads enough, yes.
lala-slave-labor Or are you projecting how your not-free hellhole handled shit?
aridara Because then the bigots enter in the police system.
Which is precisely what happened in the USA. It’s not random that 40% of cops are domestic abusers.
lala-slave-labor You’re right, not 40%. It’s not even 10%.
aridara Because they are bigots. And they have spread to the point that they have invaded the police system.
lala-slave-labor And I’m not about to rewrite the system over less than 10% of the cops being shit people.
aridara And nope, it’s 40%. At MINIMUM.
lala-slave-labor No cop where I live is like that. Everyone respects them.
aridara And that’s without going the open white supremacy of many cops. We’re talking “I want an ethnic cleansing” amount of bigotry.
lala-slave-labor It’s only like that in the big cities, which is a small minority of the nation. Good on them. They’re free to do it.
aridara Keep telling yourself that.
lala-slave-labor You can’t save everyone.
aridara Are you feeling this safe because you know that your cops are as bigoted as you?
lala-slave-labor Better the fascist than you subhuman communists!
aridara So it was never about freedom at all, eh? It was only about YOUR freedom - at the expense of everyone else. It was about POWER.
lala-slave-labor Americans first. Foreign scum never.
aridara I find it hilarious that you disbelieved my “40% of cops are domestic abusers, minimum”. You know, considering that you have the exact same mindset as an abuser.
lala-slave-labor Freedom is absolute. If I restrict the rights of one, freedom isn’t absolute. That means bigots get to stick around. But what’s so bad about bigotry?
aridara But by doing so, you are restricting the rights of the victims.
lala-slave-labor You seem hellbent on getting rid of it.
aridara Which means that freedom isn’t absolute. So are you.
lala-slave-labor Oh, it is. I don’t have to pick sides.
aridara Nope. You ARE picking a side, whether you want it or not.
lala-slave-labor “bigot is bein’ mean” okay have fun. “this foreign scum is musclin’ in on my turf” okay have fun.
aridara Letting bigotry spread is one side - one that harms the victims of bigotry and leads towards their rights being denied.
That isn’t “having fun”. That isn’t freedom. That’s AGAINST fredom.
An infinite paradox, one that has only two solutions.
lala-slave-labor The victim needs to grow up. Compromise. As does the bigot.
aridara Nope. Compromise is not freedom, according to you.
lala-slave-labor I have no right to interfere in the affairs of others. Not like some godless heathen like you’d know about that.
aridara And letting bigotry spread directly leads to bigotry interfering with the affair of its victims. Not like some godless heathen like you would know about that. You only have two solutions. One is to give up your flawed ideal of “freedom”.
lala-slave-labor So what’s your real answer? Kill the bigots? They won’t stop being bigots. aridara Don’t change the argument.
lala-slave-labor That’d infringe on their right to life.
aridara Don’t change the argument. You only have two solutions. One is to give up your flawed ideal of “freedom”.
lala-slave-labor I don’t bend to the will of a terrorist.
aridara The other is to give up this existence.
lala-slave-labor Every coin has an edge. There’s a third path!
aridara It is not my will, nor the terrorist’s will. It simlpy IS. There is not.
lala-slave-labor If you loved freedom enough to even consider dyin’ for freedom, you’d know that!
aridara And yet, despite the fact that you loved freedom so much that you considered dying for it, not even you managed to find this “third path”. Because it doesn’t exist.
lala-slave-labor Because of a few assholes kill niggers? Or that trannies get bullied to death?
aridara Because letting bigotry spread leads to a LOT of assholes killing black people.
lala-slave-labor Life isn’t perfect. And it shouldn’t ever be.
aridara Then your idea of “freedom” is impossible.
lala-slave-labor The only solution that will please you is to genocide the bigots.
aridara No, it is not.
lala-slave-labor They won’t stop being bigots.
aridara And?
lala-slave-labor Bigots have no place in this world, right? Hell, not even in this universe, no?
aridara That’s what YOU think.
lala-slave-labor It’s the logical conclusion to your extremist ideology.
aridara Nope.
lala-slave-labor Said it so yourself. Bigots must be removed.
aridara Nope again.
lala-slave-labor Putting people into a corner gonna change them?
aridara Who said anything about change?
lala-slave-labor That violates their right to speech, of free expression.
aridara And their bigotry violates their victims’ right to speech. Your point?
lala-slave-labor How?
aridara Just like your ideal of “freedom” cannot exist,
lala-slave-labor Why? Because of a few assholes?
aridara your idea of what MY beliefs are… doesn’t actually exist. You just delude yourself into rejecting reality.
lala-slave-labor What does Karl Marx mean to you?
aridara That is how you manage to claim that you are defending freedom for everyone, while simultaneously admitting that your beliefs cause entire groups of people to lose THEIR freedom.
lala-slave-labor Who says they’ve lost their freedom? Someone with 0?
aridara Because you delude yourself into ignoring reality and how it contradicts your beliefs. See, you aren’t even responding to my words anymore. You just rant about whatever you wanted to rant before.
lala-slave-labor No.
aridara Because you ignore anything that hurts your feelings.
lala-slave-labor I was in middle of something else that required my attention.
aridara This conversation is pointless. Farewell.
lala-slave-labor  could not send It’s pointless? Because you can’t convince a wet paper bag?

((okay hello hello ya baby boi is BACK. mostly because we were talking RVB as we do and i thought of how adorable it would be theta’s cheek lit up with double symbols when he blushed and then it was a tumble from there. ))
((here’s what i’ve been up to!))
okay so it looks like i’ve been gone for about a year... let’s see. i got started on testosterone... I quit the job i had at that point and moved to a different city because my boyfriend got a promotion. I tried to get a job and landed one right away, but I only made it 3 weeks before I was fired. That was in January of this year because honestly NOTHING happened much until we moved. Anyway, after I was fired I tried to kill myself. I stayed in the worst mental health hospital i’ve ever been to (3 of them oops), and finally got on meds that work for me and a therapist.
So that’s about everything pre pandemic. Oh. I also started a pride group that consists mostly of teenagers so if i make ooc posts about my kids, that’s who i mean. i don’t have biological children.
I’m planning on meeting with a surgeon to discuss my top surgery soon, too.
Hmm... Oh! I have 2 boyfriends now. Yeah, my boyfriend and I didn’t want to break up but i didn’t want to regret staying with the same person for the rest of my life either and he doesn’t want to get married so we opened our relationship.
I found a job that doesn’t make me wanna shove a knife in my chest, but that’s had its problems as well... take this copy/paste rant from facebook:
my coworker and i got into a pretty intense fight. She had spent the day on her phone, trying to track down a friend. Why? well.
Said friend had stolen his family's truck his family said that SHE was the ONLY ONE who could get in contact with him. His entire family shows up to tell her this in person. Someone other people show up and there’s almost a fight??? This causes a customer's concern, and our manager has to break up the fight.
Shit like this... happens more often than not. And I was always fairly lenient with her when she ended up disappearing while on the clock. She was a hard worker when she was actually working, so the occasional leeway felt fair to me.
But this was... quite a day. Her friend finally shows up at our store and she decides that he should sleep off his heroin high in her car. Which is parked right in front of the door. And the car door is opened. Again, I receive a worried comment from a customer.
And shes like?  telling every single person who comes into the store what's happening with her friend, like 10-15 minute convos. Per person. And when she wasn't doing that, I literally could not find her anywhere.
Now, my mental health and anger issues have improved a LOT over the past few months but there's always a limit. Mine was after dealing with several customers in a row while STILL not being able to find her. I ended up taking care of them all. Which doesn’t seem like that big of a deal but as far as I’m aware, since I can’t find her, she might as well have not been there at all.
After the store cleared out, I said "Hey, I'm kinda pissed at you." and when I told her that it was because she hadn't done anything all day, she lost her goddamn mind.
She started yelling at me, saying she had been working all day and that the cameras (which i guess weren't watching me doing all the work somehow magically?) would show what she had been doing. She said that I wasn't that boss and that I couldn't tell her what to do and that i couldn't talk to her like that. She complained about how all this drama was doing to get her fired and she accused me of threatening her. Which. I wasn't. And the whole time she's calling me a little girl, calling me crazy, calling me a dyke, calling me a liar, telling me that she knows that she's a girl, unlike me.
Now. This is a lot to unpack and if your mind doesn't explode because of the hypocrisy, I'd be surprised. She has said to me, personally, that she: 1. claims to be bisexual, 2. was called 'son' by her dad until he had a biological boy. 3. prefers dressing masculine and is 'one of the dudes' - having mostly male friends. 4. has PTSD and ADHD and is medicated for her ADHD.
So basically, just a HELL of a lot of self projecting. She also threatened to bash my head in and that she didn't care about getting in trouble.
I am 1000% done and i’m calling the cops (like ACAB but like im not gonna not when there’s a threat to my life and an overdosed junkie in the parking lot)
I tell my manager what happened. Her response? "You didn't finish the cleaning list." and "Can you still work with her?" Like. WHAT?!
So I get home and I'm contacting HR, legal services, the ACLU, anyone I can think of because I'm not about to let any of this shit fly.
I hear back from the HR rep for my district. She is PISSED as hell and wants to know everything. I put the store on blast, hardcore. Not only explaining the situation, but letting her know that no one on second shift that i work with wears uniforms or masks and that I, still a relatively new employee, am constantly left to run shifts by myself.
My manager wants an incident report on Monday. I oblige and make my way to the store about 2 hours before my shift. I get a call from an assistant manager, asking me if I can come in early. I'm already on my way there, so i say 'fine'. It's 2:45 pm when I clock in and she isn't even there yet. She shows up around 3 and the assistant sends her home. I have never known her to be on time, either.
While I’m at Seeker’s, I get a message from my boss saying that she’s been fired. And then the manager and two other people quit. So I’m kinda like ‘uhhhhh? did I? do that?”
Oh and she was fucking  ARRESTED ON 4 FELONY CHARGES!
the fact that this is the biggest thing i can report on is kinda sad but like. it’s also the most bizarre and memorable thing to happen this year so.
