FINDING HOME (A SANDERS SIDES FANFIC)
CHAPTER ONE: JANUS
Logan loves baking. LOVES it. Cooking? Not so much. Cooking involves a lot of improvising and making adjustments that feel right. It’s less of an exact science and has more wiggle room for doing whatever you want. Sure, Logan will get in the mood to experiment with dishes, but otherwise he leaves the cooking to Patton.
But baking?
Baking is Logan’s way of relaxing. It’s all precise measurements and careful direction reading. After a stressful day of working through Thomas’s schedule and helping him stay on task, Logan will sometimes just take over the kitchen and bake. He especially likes baking because the others love to eat whatever dessert he’s cooked up. Not only that, but when Logan is struggling to offer emotional support or comfort for one of the others, he’ll bake them their favourite dessert.
Virgil’s having a bad day where everything’s just too much? An hour or so later, Logan is knocking at his door, a giant chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of ice cream in his hands. Patton having a day where the blues just won’t let up? Boom, Logan’s whipping out a chocolate lava cake. Roman wants to have a treat himself day after a particularly successful performance? The mixed berry pie is almost ready to be taken out of the oven and oh boy does that crust look just delicious (the secret ingredient is a spoonful of extra lemon juice or vanilla).
Logan keeps a special recipe book full of everyone’s favourite baked goods. He writs in extra notes about how Patton really likes just about any dessert that involves pastry because yum, how Virgil prefers chocolate desserts when his anxiety is running particularly high but on good days prefers berry tarts, how Roman adores cinnamon rolls and anything that has a kick or spice to it, and how Remus loves to have as many gummy worms in chocolate mud pies as possible.
But somehow, he keeps overlooking Deceit. Deceit, who has one bad day after another. Deceit, who keeps messing up and hiding because he’s afraid they’ll yell at him. Deceit, who everyone hates. Deceit, who cries when no one’s around and lies about it. (What’s wrong with you, Deceit?” “Maybe I’m a liar.”). He doesn’t mean to, it’s just that Deceit isn’t around the other Sides much.
Then one day Patton asks if anyone’s seen Deceit, Thomas needs to lie about forgetting to study. And the Sides realise no one’s seen him in days. They elect Logan to find him, and Logan looks.
And looks.
And looks.
And looks.
And l o o k s.
And finally, finds Deceit in his room, curled up into a ball on his bed, crying while wearing one of Virgil’s hoodies.
“Deceit?” Logan knocks lightly, and feels ashamed when Deceit flinches.
“W- what did I do wrong th- this time?” Deceit chokes out through his tears, and Logan belatedly realises Deceit has feelings.
Deceit has feelings, and not one of the Sides has ever said a kind word to him. Deceit has feelings, and the Sides might very well have made him depressed because of their insensitivity.
Deceit has feelings, and Logan makes a choice to try and help him. He’s just as important as the other Sides, isn’t he?
“We’re worried about you. No one’s seen you in days…” Logan trails off, unsure how to continue.
“How long?” Deceit asks in the choked up voice Logan is trying to get used to.
“What?” Logan doesn’t know what he means.
“How long did it take you to notice I was gone?” Deceit asks.
Logan can’t lie, Deceit will know if he does.
“Today. Patton brought it to attention because Thomas needs to lie.” Logan says, knowing Deceit will want the full truth.
“Do you want to know how long I’ve been in here, hoping one of you would notice? And when you finally do, it’s only because you need me to do something?” Deceit says, and Logan is slowly getting used to the choked up voice.
Deceit won’t lie about this, Logan knows. He doesn’t know how to act, and that means he doesn’t know how to fake the pain in his voice.
“How long?” Logan asks, sitting on the edge of the bed and knowing he won’t like the answer.
It still comes as a shock when he hears it.
“Three months.” Deceit whispers, and starts crying harder.
Logan doesn’t know what to do. His usual choice would be to bake something, but he doesn’t know what type of dessert Deceit likes.
He suddenly realises no one knows what Deceit likes to eat. Have any of them even seen Deceit eat anything?
“Deceit…” Logan wants to hug the deceptive side, knowing instinctually that this isn’t a trick.
They didn’t notice he was gone for three months. Twelve weeks. Eighty-four days. Two thousand sixteen hours. One hundred twenty thousand nine hundred sixty minutes. Seven million two hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred seconds. Deceit was alone for every single one.
“Y- you’re gonna yell a- at me.” Deceit hiccups.
“No, no. I promise I won’t.” Logan tells him, hoping the depressed Side will hear he’s telling the truth.
Deceit looks at him, and tries to smile. It comes out broken looking. Logan hugs him, hoping it will comfort Deceit.
“W- what?” Deceit sniffs, and Logan holds the Side as he cries more.
“I’m so sorry we didn’t notice sooner, De.” Logan tries out a nickname he’d been using in his head to make the Side seem less evil.
“W- why are you touching me? I th- thought you hated me…” Deceit’s crying, and Logan’s heart breaks.
“I never hated you, De. I just didn’t like the lying.” Logan says truthfully, knowing he’ll lose all hope of bringing Deceit back to his old self if he lies.
“I- I didn’t like lying e- either.” Deceit admits through his tears, and Logan holds him for a while longer before moving to let go.
Deceit grabs onto Logan’s shirt, and it worries Logan how weak the hold is.
“Do you want me to make you something, De?” Logan asks, wanting Deceit back to his usual sarcastic self.
“W- will the others y- yell at me?” Deceit whispers, and Logan wants to reassure him they won’t.
But he doesn’t know if they will or not.
“I don’t know. Do you feel up to eating?” Logan asks.
“B- but then they’ll y- yell at me and g- get me in trouble with T- Thomas for being g- gone.” Deceit cries harder if possible and buries his face into Logan’s shirt.
Logan feels like absolute crap when he realises he can count Deceit’s ribs. He’s been starving himself.
“And I’ll defend you. It’s our fault you feel like this, so it’s our fault you’ve been gone.” Logan assures him, and helps Deceit stand.
The Side’s legs buckle under his measly weight, and Logan helps him walk to the others after helping Deceit hang Virgil’s old hoodie up in the closet.
“Deceit, Thomas needs to lie about forgetting to study.” Patton says without looking up.
“First we have to discuss a very big issue. Look at what we made him do.” Logan doesn’t care that his voice breaks.
The other sides (Patton, Virgil, Roman, Remus) look up.
“Good to see you’ve been getting exercise, Deceit. You’ve been getting fat.” Remus says, none of the Sides realising just how skinny Deceit was.
“He hasn’t been getting exercise.” Logan interjects, trying to get them to understand.
“Deceit, you’ve gotten paler.” Roman says with a crease to his brow, starting to catch on.
“Do you want me to tell them how I found you?” Logan asks Deceit quiet enough the others don’t hear, noticing how the shaky Side clings to the newfound comfort he’s giving him.
Deceit looks down and nods.
“He was on his bed crying, thinking we hated him. He’s been starving himself because he’s scared we’ll yell at him if he shows up outside of his room. It’s because of our actions that Deceit is like this.” Logan hates how his voice chokes up, making it hard to say the words.
Unsurprisingly, Virgil is the first to walk towards Deceit. Everyone notices how he flinches away and clings tighter to Logan’s sleeve.
“I- i’m sorry I’ve been b- bad. Please don’t g- get me in trouble w- with Thomas.” Deceit whispers, and the rest of the Sides notice he’s been crying.
Virgil looks hurt upon seeing how Deceit flinches away from him.
Deceit knows Logan hasn’t lied to him since finding him, but the last time he saw the others they were yelling at him for making Thomas lie. They’d wanted him to make Thomas lie in the first place, and then they’d yelled at him for it.
Logan murmurs something to Deceit the others can’t hear, and Deceit nods.
“He hadn't come out of his room for three months before we noticed.” Logan tells them, and even Remus looks like he feels bad for doing that to one of their own.
Patton bursts into tears over what he and the others did.
Deceit still looks like he’s expecting one of them to yell at him. Logan helps Deceit into the kitchen, and then helps him into one of the chairs.
“I could bake you something, De.” He offers, an extremely small, almost genuine smile lights up Deceit’s face.
“B- blueberry?” He mumbles, and Logan beams at the progress then deflates as he remembers Remus ate the last of the blueberries last week.
“I could ask one of the others to buy blueberries, or we could go ourselves. Remus ate the last of them last week. I’m really sorry, De.” Logan frowns, and almost wants to cry when he sees Deceit’s smile disappear.
“...” Deceit mumbles something Logan doesn’t catch.
“Could you say that a bit louder?” Logan asks softly, knownig he can’t raise his voice or Deceit will think he’s mad.
“I- I miss when we p- picked blueberries.” Deceit whispers, and Logan hugs him gently.
“We can go tomorrow if you want? Right now it’s too dark.” Logan says quietly, and lets himself smile when Deceit leans into him.
Deceit nods slightly, and lets Logan back up a bit.
“C- can I have some g- grape juice?” Deceit asks quietly, and Logan looks in the fridge.
He grins when he finds the grape juice too sweet for any of them that they still kept for some reason. It was probably Deceit’s, and Logan made sure to be careful as he brought the cup over to the depressed Side.
“Here you go, De.” Logan says quietly, getting the feeling that Deceit’s ears are sensitive after those few months in silence.
Deceit almost smiles, Logan can tell. He’s really trying to be happy, and that’s all Logan can ask after what they did to him.
“You deserve to be treated just like everyone else here, De. I’m sorry I didn’t realise it sooner.” Logan knows any progress he makes with Deceit will be destroyed the second he lies.
It was ironic that Deceit preferred the truth, but Logan wasn’t going to tease him. The corners of Deceit’s mouth lift up, and Logan almost grins.
“J- Janus.” Deceit whispers, barely loud enough for Logan to hear.
“What?” Logan doesn’t understand.
“M- my name. It’s J- Janus.” Deceit whispers.
Logan feels honoured Deceit- Janus, trusts him with this information. He wouldn't tell the Side’s name until he was okay with it.
“Is it okay if I still call you De? So the others don’t overhear your name?” Logan suggests, and since Deceit- sorry, Janus, can tell he’s sincere, he nods.
“I t- trust you.” Janus wants to smile, he really does.
Logan is showing him the first bits of kindness he’s ever known since being formed as a Side. The first bits of kindness that are directed at him, anyway.
Janus finishes his juice, and Logan gently takes the cup so Janus doesn’t hurt himself trying to help. It really worries Logan how much weight the Side has lost.
“Do you wanna watch a movie, De?” Logan asks, and is surprised at the answer he gets.
“A- Aladdin?” Janus asks, his yellow eyes wide and hopeful.
“Of course.” Logan smiles and helps him off the chair.
Janus wants to get away from the contact; Logan should hate him just like everyone else does, after all. Except he knows now that Logan doesn’t hate him, he only hates the lying. The two steadily make their way towards Janus’s room to watch Aladdin, and Logan knows that Janus is making progress. He let Logan touch him, he let Logan hug him. This much progress in a single day is impossibly good.
After a while, Janus is tired. Logan’s holding him gently, the movie isn’t too loud, he actually feels like one of the Sides care about him. But if he goes to sleep, he’ll wake up and all of it - Logan being nice, someone caring, feeling safe - will have been a dream. He doesn’t want to lose it.
“It’s okay, Janus. I’m right here, you can rest.” Logan murmurs to him, hesitantly placing a hand on the Side’s scales.
Janus welcomes the reassuring touch, leaning into Logan’s hand and relaxing. In his head he knew he was safe, but there was always the fear the others would hurt him. Logan kisses Janus’s forehead, and the smaller Side curls up almost contentedly.
“I won’t leave.” Logan promises as Janus slowly falls asleep, curled into him.
And he means it.

Senator McAshlynn Dernham [CEO: Synergy Paradigm] acquiesces to an interview with Detective Reed, but his heartbeat picks up to ninety-one BPM when Nines steps into his office as well.
Downtown view, fifty-second floor. Eight hundred and sixty-five square feet--nearly a hundred more than Reed's apartment. Minimalist furniture, a display of signed sports balls, and a jade paperweight shaped like a turtle valued at over four thousand dollars.
It would make an excellent bludgeoning tool.
"Detective Reed." Senator McAshlynn stands up from his desk and meets Reed halfway in the room. "Come in, have a seat."
They shake hands. Reed exerts an estimated fifty-six pounds of pressure on the handshake. Senator McAshlynn's grip strength does not exceed thirty pounds. He tries to hide a grimace, but the one facial expression Nines can reliably detect is pain.
"Sit down, sit down. What can I do for you, detective?"
Nines is not offered a greeting or a seat. It would hurt all zero of his feelings, except no talking and no physical contact is how he prefers to interact with humans. He stands behind Reed while the detective sprawls out in the offered chair.
"Just have a couple of financial questions for you, Mr. McAshlynn," Reed says.
"Oh no, McAshlynn isn't my last name," Senator McAshlynn replies. He grips the back of his chair with an estimated thirty-two pounds of strength. "Senator McAshlynn is my first name, both of them. My last name is Dernham."
"Right."
Detective Reed performed fairly extensive research on Senator Ashlynn Dernham (limited as he is by his lack of neural connection to the internet) before their arrival. Despite being fully aware of the not-senator's two first names situation, he lets the silence drag on for thirty-six seconds before clicking his tongue and continuing.
"I only need to confirm a few things about Mr. Russell's finances, and then we'll go."
Senator McAshlynn's BPM ticks up to ninety-four. "I'm not sure why that would interest you or be relevant to me. Russell personally made those investments with money given directly to him by his … investors. Although he did found this company, I can assure you, Synergy Paradigms remained completely uninvolved and unaware of--"
"Yeah, yeah." Detective Reed waves his hand. "Relax, I'm not here to bust your balls, and I don't care. I just gotta make sure Russell really did have plenty of motive to commit suicide."
"Is there something questionable about shooting himself in the head?" Senator McAshlynn asks.
Reed shrugs. He pulls out his phone and scrolls through a takeout ordering app. Nines can hear the other human begin to grind his teeth, and pinpoint the exact moment he begins inhaling in order to speak again. Even with his limited human senses, Detective Reed somehow senses this precise moment as well.
"Look, the media's making this into a big shitstorm out there, all right?" he says. "Didn't think I needed to tell you that. I just wanna make sure I'm covering my own ass, and I get that you want to do the same. No problem. Like I said, you answer some questions about <I>his</i> finances, and we leave."
Senator McAshlynn considers. "All right. I may be able to do that."
"Cool. Like I said, I'm not here to bust your balls." Reed's reflection in the wall-to-ceiling windows in front of him gives a smile even Nines can recognize as sleazy. "Guy's already dead. If you work with me here, I don't mind working with you."
Senator McAshlynn's BPM begins to fall, and he smiles back at Reed. "I'm always happy to assist the DPD, but. As you said, Russel is already dead. I'm not sure what's left for you to work with."
"Mmm." Reed puts his phone away and tilts back in the chair until the back of it rests against Nines' abdomen. "Well, my partner here has done some digging into Russell's finances. Did you know his bank account has been hemorrhaging money this last month?"
"I was not aware of that, no."
"Yep. And here's the really interesting part--he pinged the IP of some other android messing around in there."
That is so inaccurate Nines almost corrects him on sheer principle. He deactivates his voice box though, both to halt that immediate impulse and to prevent interrupting in a conversation that clearly won't involve him.
"Again, I'm not sure how that's relevant to this company," Senator McAshlynn says.
Reed shrugs. "Doesn't matter. You and I both know the media is going to drag Russell's name through the mud and into the spotlight for as long as they can milk it--and they're going to keep mentioning Synergy Paradigms while they do it. Makes for a better story."
"Well, I would certainly like to avoid that." Senator McAshlynn smiles at him again. The action barely involves his lips. "I don't suppose you know an especially talented PR agent?"
"I know large sums of missing money plus a mysterious android equals a damn good story," Reed replies. "So if there's anything you know about that, now's a good time to let me know."
"Is it?"
"I'm not looking to arrest anyone in a suicide. And if some unsavory shit comes up--you know, the kind that would stay on the ten'o'clock for the next month--maybe my partner here deletes some stuff. Maybe I let you know about it, so you get some closure on your dear friend's death."
Senator McAshlynn stays silent as he considers it. Detective Reed lets his chair drop back down to the floor with a loud thunk in the quiet room.
"But in another minute now, I'm gonna go interview that reporter who broke the story," he says with a smile that only serves to show his teeth. "So like I said. Right now is a good time to start working with me."
Senator McAshlynn takes a seat. "What can I do for you, detective?"
Nines saves the smile Reed gave to his most encrypted folder. It shares several points of similarity to his own facial expression categorized as [hostilesmile-murder]. He places the file next to the zoomed view of Gavin's nipples he attempted to delete two weeks earlier.
"Do you know where Russell's money disappeared to this last month?" Detective Reed asks.
Senator McAshlynn sighs. "No. If Russell got into escorts or red ice, I never saw any of it. And even if he did, there's no reason for his indiscretions to drag this company down with him."
"Sure," Reed says. "My partner and I are going to do some digging. See what we find."
"I don't suppose you could be persuaded to … take a holiday?" Senator McAshlynn asks.
Reed clicks his tongue. "Not how this works. And I might not know any PR agents, but I have heard it's better to get ahead of stories before they break. Know what shit stinks in your own house 'n all."
"I might like to know what the hell Russell was doing," Senator McAshlynn admits. "But maybe I'd like it better if no one knew. If we all just, dropped this whole matter?"
"Mmm."
Reed takes his phone back out and takes his time choosing from the menu of the Chinese restaurant closest to the precinct. Nines adds a side of fried vegetables and rice to his order of Chicken Kung Pao (spicy).
While Gavin works at increasing the CEO's stress levels, Nines continues syncing with the smart desk. As soon as Senator McAshlynn rested his hands on its surface, the handprint scanner activated and unlocked the interface, although it stays resting on the set screensaver of mahogany wood.
Nines doesn't alter anything or open any files. He doesn't need to. Senator McAshlynn's calendar, contacts, and social media feeds are set up to sync automatically with all of his devices.
It's simple enough to copy the handprint from the scanner and convince the "smart" desk that he himself is one of those devices.
"Oh, yeah. See." Reed says when Senator McAshlynn begins tapping his twelve hundred dollar pen. "The money? Yeah, maybe that's old news. It was all a Ponzi scheme anyway. But the android …"
Reed lets out a long sigh and tips his seat back again.
"What android?" Senator McAshlynn snaps.
"The one messing around in Russell's finances," Reed says. "Traces of it in his loft too. Can't just let that go."
Senator McAshlynn lays both hands on either side of his desk. Human body language is as chaotic and individual as every human, but this gesture clearly reflects a threatened animal attempting to look bigger than it really is. The motion also places his right hand closer to the portion of the desk's touch screen devoted to summoning security.
Nines tells that particular program to begin an update. The entire smart desk will now need to be restarted in order for the program to function.
"And why not?"
Reed reaches up and taps backwards against Nines' chest. "Say something creepy."
"Jade is porous."
"What are you talking about?" Senator McAshlynn asks, very firmly maintaining eye contact only with Reed.
"Your paperweight would make an excellent bludgeoning tool, but jade is porous," Nines says. "The blood would absorb and stain. Useful for a murder itself, but a liability afterward."
"God, you never disappoint," Reed says as the other human's face pales. "They gave him all this info and programming on solving crimes without ever stopping to think about what reverse engineering means. Takes a special kind of hand to manage him."
Nines deactivates his voice box once more. The problem with custom-building a social module is that he can only learn from his environment. The second problem is that the only human he regularly interacts with is Gavin Reed.
[dialogue options: AVAILABLE]
:Yeah, I bet your hand is real special to you.:
:I gave a special hand to your mom last night.:
:You can catch these special hands in the parking lot.:
"Are you threatening me?" Senator McAshlynn demands.
His finger presses down on the incognito security alert. A dialogue box pops up on the table informing him of the necessary restart, ruining the illusion of real wood.
Reed scoffs while he scrambles to close the notification. "I don't care about you enough to do that. It's only the android we're after. Any LM one hundreds, PJ five or six hundreds, or WB five hundreds you seen around Russel?"
"LM—a personal assistant?" Senator McAshlynn looks up from his desk. "No, Russell didn't have one of those. I don't even know what the other two are."
"University lecturer and financial accountant."
Senator McAshlynn huffs. "No. And for the last time detective, this isn't relevant to me or my company."
"All right." Detective Reed stands up. "Thanks for your time, Mr. McAshlynn."
"It's Dernham. Please leave or I will have my security team escort you out," Mr. McAshlynn informs them.
"Two GJ five hundreds and a refurbished GS two hundred." Nines nods his head toward the desk. "Is that paperweight for sale?"
"Get out!"
***
"God that was great. You really fucking asked him if it was for sale."
Gavin is still so pleased about getting kicking out of Synergy Paradigm, he lets Nines control his truck from the passenger's seat. Nines keeps the speed a steady five miles over the limit like his partner prefers and passes him a pack of the regular, non-marijuana cigarettes he smokes while on duty.
"Did you get a picture of his face?"
Nines sends the file to his cellphone. Gavin checks it immediately when it dings, then shoots him a wide smile. Nines saves a picture of that too before he's aware of making the decision to do so. He now has fifty-four pictures of Gavin saved for purposes other than building a databank of facial expressions. Anything more than three is a pattern.
A habit.
"Anything else?" the detective asks. "Wait, if you fucked with his table, don't tell me. Anything you got from that is inadmissible in court, and if there's any chance you might get caught, don't do that shit anymore."
"If there is any chance I might get caught," Nines repeats back to him. "Hypothetically, what if Senator McAshlyn's cell phone--"
He tries to put the right amount of emphasis in his voice to imply air quotes. It is difficult to preconstruct which syllables to stress and in what order. Gavin stares blankly at him. He tries raising his volume by ten percent.
"His cell phone."
Gavin suddenly huffs and rolls his eyes. "Jesus, yeah, OK. If his cell phone did …?"
"Connected to his smart desk and automatically synced to his calendar, contacts, and social media feeds."
"And anyone looking into the like, syncing history or whatever, would confirm his cell phone was the only device to connect to his smart desk about ten minutes ago?"
"Correct."
"OK, hypothetically speaking," Gavin says. "If there's no chance of getting caught--and keep in mind that would mean our whole case could get thrown out and lots of lawyers and Fowler screaming about privacy violations and IA jumping on the chance to fuck over their very first android …"
"Understood."
"If there's no chance of getting caught, that shit is still a slippery fucking slope and you shouldn't risk it."
Nines stares at the human's face, trying to determine if he is being that aspect of [sarcastic] that is not meanly saying the opposite of what he really thinks, but is still saying the opposite in order to [cover his own ass].
"Anyway." Gavin clears his throat. "On a totally unrelated note, do you have a hunch about anything?"
"A hunch."
"Yeah. Like, a gut feeling you can't really explain to me in--"
"Oh."
Gavin clears his throat again.
"I do not believe Senator McAshlynn Dernham was close friends with Maverick Russell," Nines says. "I do not believe the two planned to meet with each other within the last two weeks or the next fortnight."
"You fucking had to say fortnight. Pull over, I have a dance I want to show you."
Nines locks the passenger door. "My 'gut instinct' is that Senator McAshlynn has in fact been distancing himself from the victim for several months now and likely thought Russell was a bad investor, desperate to be liked, and only got lucky mooching off of his co-founders' talents and his father's inheritance when founding Synergy Paradigms."
"That's all your gut instinct, huh?"
"Social media accounts are public knowledge, and I have the processing power to review literally everything Senator McAshlynn has ever made publicly available online. He has not been discreet about his feelings. That is my assessment of them."
"You remember what I said about staying out of my life?" Gavin asks.
"Yes, detective." Nines does not sigh, because that would be redundant. "I am not to access your medical history or background information."
"Just keep that in mind."
"I am affixing a permanent post-it note to my field of vision right now."
"Fuck off. Is there anything else I need to know about?"
Nines considers. "Do you need the video and audio I recorded?"
Gavin actually does sigh, blowing out a cloud of smoke. "What the fuck did you record?"
"Technically speaking, I am always recording."
"This whole fucking conversation is justifying every bit of my goddamn paranoia about androids, you know that, right?"
"Humans may also acquire go-pros."
"So you admit that's what you are."
"Do you wish for me to upload the video and audio recording of our walk through the interior of Synergy Paradigms to your terminal or not, detective?"
"Yeah, sure." Gavin takes a long drag of his cigarette while he thinks. "I mean, I was right fucking there with you though. I saw everything you did."
"True," Nines admits. "You did see everything I did, but you do not possess the ability to review that video with perfect recall. My hearing is also significantly more advanced than yours, and I recorded audio from humans on the first and second floors, as well as the fifty-first, fifty-second, and fifty-third, within an approximate three to five office radius."
Gavin nearly lets the cigarette drop from his open mouth. "Holy shit. Uhhh, yeah, sure. Fuckers in a company like that gotta be gossiping about what happened. Maybe we'll pick something up."
The majority of the audio is, in fact, gossip. Nines has already processed and reviewed it of course, but he is also aware his lack of a social module and general understanding of humans must necessarily limit his ability to determine the relevance of what he's heard.
Personally, he would declare it all irrelevant. "Petty gossip" does not even begin to describe how asinine and crude the humans' dialogue is. It's all about who has been fucking whom, who is climbing the corporate ladder, and who is fucking whom in order to climb the corporate ladder.
The entire experience of walking through one [1] human corporation has justified every bit of his disgust for humans.
Still, Nines will transfer the files to the detective's workplace terminal via direct connection once they arrive back at the precinct. So far, there is nothing currently illegal about his advanced hearing and "privacy violations." And technically, anything in plain sight or said within hearing of an officer may be admitted in court as evidence.
It just so happens that Nines's sight and hearing have a bit wider scope than current laws predicted.
Gavin works on nursing his cigarette down to a nub for the next several minutes without speaking. When he taps the backs of his knuckles against his window, Nines rolls it down for him. They're moving slowly enough through the city traffic for him to ash his cigarette out the window. The cold air whipping through puts a red flush on his face as he smokes and blows it out the window.
"But seriously," the human continues after a few minutes of quiet driving. "If I ever get like that for real, knife me in the back of the neck. Straight through all of that good brain-spine stuff."
Nines runs several preconstructions. While monitoring other police officers isn't part of his mission, he was created to serve as a form of Internal Affairs. RK800s to track down the deviants and RK900s to monitor the eights.
(His [pride] pushes the idea that he is more akin to Military Police, but that is irrelevant to the preconstructions and possibly a deviant thought pattern.)
Still, Nines is aware a not-insignificant number of police officers commit errors ranging from abusing their authority to planting evidence to outright working alongside criminals for profit. Even Detective Reed has shown a propensity to skirt right along the edge of what is legal--or not technically illegal.
His assumed persona at Synergy Paradigms seems to have illustrated crossing the line however, so Nines categorizes those behaviors as [unacceptable] in his system and updates his own action-paths accordingly.
The preconstructions of killing or permanently disabling Detective Reed still fail.
But his partner is designated as his [human partner] within his system, and there may be dormant programming preventing Nines from causing serious harm to him.
"I will inform you that your behavior is no longer acceptable," Nines tells him. "If you continue after my warning, then I will neutralize you."
Gavin takes a long drag off his cigarette and gives him the facial equivalent of the :eyes: emoji. Not an apologetic look as Nines originally interpreted, but an expression known as "side-eyeing." His extensive collection of saved images focused on Gavin's face has given Nines a much higher rate of success at interpreting his partner's nonverbal signals than the average human.
"Didn't take you for the type to give warnings," Gavin finally says.
"Well." Nines practices shrugging. "It takes a special hand to manage me."
Gavin snorts out smoke. "Fuck. Did I really sound that stupid?"
[dialogue options: AVAILABLE]
"I estimate your hand is very special to you, detective."
That earns him another snort. Eighty-three chance of [amusement].
"I gave a special hand to your mother yesterday evening."
"Hope you didn't bother paying for that shit."
"You may receive these special hands at a Denny's parking lot of your choice."
That finally makes Gavin laugh, long and loud enough that he starts coughing. He flips Nines off around a wheeze, still grinning. Nines watches him keep smoking and adds to his collection of saved images.
It's a very bad habit.

a head full of fairytales
for @wangxianweek‘s day 5 “crossovers”: a pushing daisies au! this is a bit more 1:1 than i’d normally do but i wanted some good sugary fluff so enjoy!
Wei Ying is six years, five weeks, two minutes, and twenty seconds old when he first discovers his gift of waking the dead.
Unlike most gifts, however, this one did not come in a box, with an instruction manual, or with any sort of warranty. It had not been given to him by anyone, but it did have two major caveats.
Wei Ying finds out about these caveats the hard way, after his mother dies of a ruptured blood vessel to the brain. He pokes her back awake, only for his father to collapse in the next room over just one minute later.
Then when his mother kisses him goodnight, she collapses again, and no matter how hard he pokes, she remains cold and still.
First caveat: he could only keep a dead thing alive for precisely one minute, or else something else will have to take its place.
Second caveat: first touch, life. Second touch, dead. Forever.
After that, Wei Ying is promptly shipped off to the Cloud Recesses School for Boys, where he meets a boy named Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan is six years, eight months, three weeks, and five minutes old, and he has little to no concept of the permanence of death just yet.
His mother, Madam Lan, had been almost a non-entity all of his life. Having pled down from first-degree murder to manslaughter long before he was born, Madam Lan had been spared prison and sent to a psychiatric hospital instead. Lan Zhan only saw her once a month, leaving class early with his big brother to go listen to her hum lullabies while combing his hair.
And then one day, his big brother told him they would no longer be visiting her.
Indignant, Lan Zhan had escaped from the Cloud Recesses and walked all the way to the psychiatric hospital by himself, only to be turned away. He’d snuck up to her window, but had found someone else in her bed.
The first night Wei Ying spends in the dormitory of the Cloud Recesses School for Boys, he hears Lan Zhan’s quiet sobbing, and walks him down to the kitchen to wrap him some dumplings.
Lan Zhan, in return, takes a page from the fairytales his mother had read to him, and gives Wei Ying his first and only kiss.
“I don’t think we should call them zombies. It just reminds me of slow-moving masses of brain-hungry monsters, which is definitely not what’s going on here,” Wei Wuxian says as Jiang Cheng, Private Eye, tucks into the platter of dumplings on the table between them.
It is now twenty-two years, two months, sixteen days, and fifty two minutes after that first night at the Cloud Recesses School for Boys, and Wei Wuxian is the resident dumpling expert at a restaurant called Lotus Pier. The restaurant owner’s little brother, Jiang Cheng, is a private investigator whose cases usually consisted of hysterical mothers running secret background checks of their children’s significant others.
He is also the sole keeper of Wei Wuxian’s little secret. How he came to that position was purely by accident, of course, after witnessing a robber fall off a building directly into Wei Wuxian’s path. The robber had tried to run as if nothing had happened, but Wei Wuxian had quickly cottoned on and touched him again, causing the man to drop dead a second time.
Jiang Cheng had proposed a partnership then: Wei Wuxian helps him solve murder cases — as it really is a lot easier to do that if you could just ask the victim who did it — and Jiang Cheng would split the reward money with him.
“Man, you’re really missing out on these. Does it upset you that you can’t eat dumplings?” asks Jiang Cheng through a mouthful of pork and napa cabbage.
“I haven’t eaten meat since I was six,” says Wei Wuxian.
“What a shame,” says Jiang Cheng. “The Dumpling Patriarch can’t even eat his own creations. But I guess that means more of them for me.”
“Suit yourself,” says Wei Wuxian. “As I was saying, though, zombie is too rude, and undead… no one wants to be un-anything.”
“Fierce corpse?” suggests Jiang Cheng.
“Corpse is too dead of a term.”
“They’re dead-ish people,” retorts Jiang Cheng.
Wei Wuxian shrugs. “I don’t see why we can’t just say they’re ‘alive again’.”
“Because it sounds like they’re narcoleptic,” replies Jiang Cheng, smothering his dumpling with vinegar and ginger before popping into his mouth with a satisfied hum. “Okay, so, how about this case?”
“I don’t like dogs,” says Wei Wuxian immediately. “A dog bit me when I was five. I’ve been scared of them ever since.”
“You wouldn’t need to talk to the dog,” says Jiang Cheng. “You just need to talk to the master. Some guy got mauled to death by a dog and the sole witness is this lady here.” He pulls out a picture of a chow chow. “Her name’s Princess, and she’s been framed.”
“How do you know that?”
“The family swears that Princess is innocent,” replies Jiang Cheng. “They’re offering a sixty-seven thousand yuan reward for any information about the death. Have a conversation with the guy, see who did it. Chances are, if some other dog is behind it, then Princess was, in fact, framed.”
Wei Wuxian goes to the morgue, touches the man. Within the week, Princess is exonerated.
And then that weekend, everything changes.
The body of a young man has been fished out of Lake Biling this morning. The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time, but investigators are saying it was probably a boating accident out on the lake…
Jiang Cheng switches off the TV. “That young man’s older brother is offering three hundred thousand yuan for more information on his death,” he announces. Wei Wuxian looks up from the dumplings he’s wrapping with a skeptical eyebrow quirk.
“Three hundred thousand yuan,” he repeats.
“Yeah, apparently he’s the CEO of some tech company and is convinced his brother couldn’t possibly have gotten into a boating accident.”
“Why not, is he some sort of hermit?”
“To some extent, I guess?” says Jiang Cheng. “You in or not? Better make it quick, the funeral’s going to be in a couple of days.”
“I’m in,” says Wei Wuxian, though he’s not sure what’s compelling those words out of his mouth. “Where is he?”
“Caiyi Town,” says Jiang Cheng. “He’s the nephew of the rector of the Cloud Recesses School for Boys. Name’s Lan Wangji.”
“Lan Zhan,” breathes Wei Wuxian, and the dumpling he’d been wrapping drops onto the counter.
Wei Wuxian had never returned to the Cloud Recesses after graduating. He’d declined every reunion invitation, ignored his classmates’ half-hearted attempts to stay in touch. Despite all of that, however, he still found himself spending time every day since he left the school thinking about Lan Wangji.
“You know this guy?” asks Jiang Cheng as the rolling mist-covered hills of Gusu Province come into view of their car.
“I know of him,” says Wei Wuxian.
Jiang Cheng arches an eyebrow. “In the biblical sense?” he wonders.
“I haven’t thought about him since I was seventeen,” lies Wei Wuxian.
Jiang Cheng raises an eyebrow. “You thought about him a lot when you were seventeen?”
Wei Wuxian feels his cheeks flushing. “No comment,” he replies. Jiang Cheng snorts, as they traverse the old familiar tree-lined road leading into Caiyi, which now looks more like a small city than a town.
The facts are these: Lan Wangji, known as Lan Zhan to his (admittedly few) friends and family, had been twenty-nine years, two weeks, and five hours old when his body had been found in the freezing waters of Lake Biling outside Caiyi Town, moments after it had been discarded there. By whom, of course, is the question that Wei Wuxian has been brought over to ask.
“Master Wei, good to see you back in town,” says the rector of the Cloud Recesses School for Boys as they enter the funeral home. His voice clearly indicates the opposite of his words. “To what do we owe the pleasure of this visit?”
“I’d like to see Lan Zhan, please,” says Wei Wuxian, feeling like he’s a stupid child who’d been caught sneaking treats to his best friend once again.
Rector Lan Qiren’s expression darkens with unmistakable sadness. “He’s through there,” he says, gesturing to the door. “I take it your friend has seen Xichen’s request for information?”
“What makes you think that?” wonders Jiang Cheng.
Lan Qiren scrutinises him closer. “I know of Wanyin Private Investigations,” he replies. Jiang Cheng’s cheeks colour, but he heads to the door to open it for Wei Wuxian nonetheless.
At the threshold, however, Wei Wuxian balks. “I… think I’d, uh, like to do this one alone,” he says.
Jiang Cheng raises an eyebrow. “You got something special for this guy?”
“Er, well, you could say something like that,” says Wei Wuxian, rubbing at the nape of his neck with an awkward chuckle. “Just… stupid things. Closure. Whatever.”
(A confession of feelings, maybe.)
“Ask him who killed him first,” says Jiang Cheng. “Also, don’t forget the time limit.”
“Yeah,” says Wei Wuxian, fingers itching for the door handle.
“That’s a minute,” adds Jiang Cheng. “Sixty seconds, no more, no less. Got it?”
“Got it,” agrees Wei Wuxian. Jiang Cheng pushes him in and closes the door, and now Wei Wuxian is faced with the disturbing finality of seeing Lan Wangji lying in a coffin, his expression beautifully serene even in death.
In this moment, his head is full of fairytales, like the sort he and Lan Wangji had read as children. What would the prince do in this moment, faced with the dreaming princess whose curse could only be broken with True Love’s Kiss?
Touching his lips seems too forward. Maybe the cheek —
He reaches out and touches Lan Wangji’s cheek, and is promptly knocked into the coffin by the lapels of his leather jacket for his troubles.
“Hold on! Hold on, Lan Zhan!” Wei Wuxian yells, stumbling backwards. Lan Wangji seizes a chair, pointing it defensively at him. “It’s me! Wei Ying, from school? We grew up together?”
“Wei Ying,” repeats Lan Wangji, his eyes growing wide. He sets down the chair, looking decidedly awkward in his white suit. His hair is shorter than Wei Wuxian remembers. “Where… am I?”
“Do you remember the last thing you did?” Wei Wuxian asks.
Lan Wangji considers it, brows furrowing. “I was strangled by a plastic sack.”
“Right.” Wei Wuxian gestures to the coffin behind him. “You died from that.”
Lan Wangji turns around, looks at the coffin. “Mm,” he concedes.
“Jiang Wanyin!” exclaims Lan Xichen as he steps into the corridor outside the room with Lan Wangji’s coffin. “Imagine my surprise when my uncle mentioned you were here. Are you enquiring after my brother?”
“I am,” agrees Jiang Cheng. Lan Xichen checks his mobile.
“Right, my assistant said he’d be here shortly as well, but he hasn’t shown up yet,” he says. “Master Mo has all the paperwork, though, regarding the reward should you happen to find something pertinent to this case. You’ll have to pardon his lateness; we’re still trying to train that out of him.”
“No worries,” says Jiang Cheng, looking at his own phone timer. Sixty seconds is almost up…
“You only have a minute left, so: do you happen to know who strangled you with the plastic sack?” wonders Wei Wuxian. “Just wondering so that justice can be served.”
“It took me by surprise,” replies Lan Wangji. “I was on the lake with my samples.”
“Samples?” echoes Wei Wuxian. “Of what?”
“The flora and fauna of Lake BIling,” replies Lan Wangji. “I was a researcher.”
“Okay, and you definitely didn’t get a glimpse of your attacker’s face,” says Wei Wuxian.
“He wore a mask,” replies Lan Wangji.
Disappointment curls through Wei Wuxian. “Okay then.” His watch beeps a warning. “Your time’s almost up. But before you go, I just —”
I loved you, Lan Zhan. And I think I still love you now.
The words choke into “you were my first kiss” instead.
Lan Wangji nods. “And you were mine,” he says. “There has been no other.”
A first and last kiss. How fitting. Wei Wuxian steps closer, leans up.
That’s the farthest his lips will ever go, ever again.
“You’ll have to excuse Master Mo; he must be indisposed. I could potentially get you the documents when I return to the office,” says Lan Xichen with a sigh, extending a hand for Jiang Cheng to shake.
Unbeknownst to all of them, Master Mo had in fact made it to the funeral home on time. The problem is, he had came just in time to catch Wei Wuxian’s first caveat.
Sixty seconds have passed, and Master Mo has paid the price for it.
“You do not have to do this,” Lan Wangji points out. Wei Wuxian grimaces, inching just a little out of Lan Wangji’s reach when the other man leans forward. “I understand if you do not wish to —”
“No, that’s not — there’s nothing in the world I’d like more,” mumbles Wei Wuxian, feeling his ears heat up. “I just — what if you didn’t have to, you know, stay dead?”
“Mm,” says Lan Wangji, a clear sign of agreeable excitement. Wei Wuxian scrubs his hands over his eyes.
“Okay, then,” he says. “Hop back into the coffin, and lie still until I come to get you.”
“They will be sealing the coffin to prevent my spirit from becoming vengeful,” warns Lan Wangji.
“I’ll try to get you before that,” bluffs Wei Wuxian, who has no idea how to counteract something like a coffin sealing.
Lan Wangji nods. The faintest hint of a smile tugs at his lips. He gets into the coffin again, folding his hands, and Wei Wuxian closes the coffin lid with his heart hammering in his chest.
(Considering this isn’t his first time keeping a dead person alive for more than a minute, he’s not really sure why his nerves are eating him like this.)
“What does he know?” asks Jiang Cheng as Wei Wuxian steps out of the room.
“Nothing. He was strangled to death by a plastic sack but doesn’t know who did it.”
Jiang Cheng groans. “Then I guess it’s back to good old fashioned detective work,” he mutters, patting Wei Wuxian on the shoulder. “How are you holding up?”
“…What?” asks Wei Wuxian.
“You just reunited with an old friend for a minute and then had to say goodbye to them again permanently,” Jiang Cheng points out. “You’ve got to be more than a little shaken by that.”
“I —” Wei Wuxian’s mouth works uselessly for a moment before he starts heading back towards the door. “I think I’m going to stay for the coffin sealing,” he says. “Old time’s sake, you know. Catch you later?”
Jiang Cheng’s eyes narrow, but he says nothing as he heads out of the funeral home. Wei Wuxian exhales, before pushing back into the room.
The coffin is missing. Wei Wuxian’s heart nearly leaps out of his chest in alarm.
Lying in the dark, Lan Wangji thinks about the life he’d led since graduating Cloud Recesses. He’d gotten research fellowships and scholarships to all the major universities in Gusu; he’d spent his days locked in labs or classrooms with texts and papers and samples. He’d written more words than he could possibly count, gotten more degrees than he could possibly need.
And now here he is, in a coffin, about to be sealed in forever if Wei Ying doesn’t come back soon.
But why should Wei Ying be the one to rescue him? The damsels in Mama’s stories sat around for their princes, but Lan Wangji wasn’t a damsel; he was a scientist. (And a writer, a musician, and everything else he’d put his mind to during the past ten years or so, but that’s neither here nor there.) And he’s perfectly capable of escaping the coffin by himself.
So he does, and replaces his weight with a heavy porcelain vase in the corner of the room. He runs out the back door, hiding himself in the bushes just as his coffin is carried out the door and placed into a hearse. Moments after it leaves, Wei Wuxian comes rushing out the door after it, his expression frantic.
Lan Wangji stands up from the bushes. Wei Wuxian turns towards him, his panic melting into the sweetest of smiles.
“Sorry I’m late,” he says.
Lan Wangji’s head is full of nothing but fairytales.

One Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty Seven
Title: One Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty Seven
Fandom: The Adventure Zone
Pairing(s): just some good ol twins being twins
Genre: Light angst?
Word Count: 3173
Warning(s): Foster care, mentions of thievery/arson, vague mentions to a shitty past but there’s no expanding on it?, idk it’s not much this time
Summary: On August 27th, 2018, it was raining. Which was fitting, Taako supposed. It was raining and the Taaco twins felt like the world was ending.
Taako carefully folded his last tank top and slowly lowered it into his suitcase. He looked in the toiletries pocket and checked again that everything was in there- brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, emergency shampoo and conditioner, face wash, hair cream. He closed the pocket and flipped the top of the suitcase over with a soft thump. He then zipped the case close as slowly as he could, counting the click of each tooth as it connected with its opposite.
Click. One. Click. Two. Click. Three. Click. Four.
It was the third time he’d emptied his suitcase and packed it again that day, but only the first time today counting the zippers. He couldn’t help it, he needed something to do, something to keep his mind busy while avoiding the unwanted attention of the other kids there. So he pulled the zipper comically slow and counted.
Click. Fourteen. Click. Fifteen. Click. Sixteen.
Lup was sitting next to him by the desk, toying with her lighter. She was in the middle of one of her favorite patterns, one she developed when she picked the lighter off some guy at the mall two years ago. Light the candle. Blow it out. Flick the lighter on. Release the trigger to put it out. Light the candle. Blow it out. Flick the lighter on. Release the trigger to put it out.
Click. Thirty two. Click. Thirty three. Click. Thirty four. Click. Thirty five.
It was raining. August 27th, 2018. Cloudy with an 85% chance of showers. Taako supposed the 85% had won out today. He was tempted to count the raindrops on the window but it was raining too hard to get a precise number, and the water kept washing the previous droplets away. He had tried to count them once in the car when he was ten, his aunt had taken them to the amusement park and the car ride had been three hours long. The droplets kept moving and adding and replacing themselves, it was too hard to count them and Taako had gotten so frustrated he started crying. His Aunt hadn’t known what was wrong and they almost had to cancel the whole trip. So he counted the zipper instead, it was a comforting constant.
Click. Seventy eight. Click. Seventy nine.
Istus was late. It was 5:27. She was supposed to arrive at 3:15 between 4 seconds and 36 seconds. He had stopped counting the seconds at 5:19 and 42 seconds to start counting the zippers instead. He hoped Lup was counting for him. But he doubted it, Lup liked patterns, Taako liked numbers. She only counted for Taako in emergencies, and vice versa for her patterns, and this was not an emergency.
He looked at Lup again. She was still playing with her lighter. Light the candle. Blow it out. Flick the lighter on. Release the trigger to put-
One of the kids, Taako thought his name was Sam, bounced over to Lup to inspect what she was doing. He was new to the system, only a couple months in and two or three years younger than the twins. Taako hated the weasel, he smelled, messed up Taako’s counting, and, worst of all, bothered Lup. Sam leaned in, admiring the flame Lup had lit as it flickered ceremoniously on the candle wick. He frowned as she blew it out.
“Why’d you do that?” He complained, whipping his head up towards Lup. “I was watching that fire.” Lup flinched as he spoke, snapping out of her daze. She instantly narrowed her eyes at him.
“It was my fire to begin with and I wanted to put it out,” She huffed and crossed her arms. Taako didn’t miss the tension in her shoulders, he knew how much she hated to have her patterns interrupted.
Click. One hundred and eleven. Click. One hundred and twelve. Click. One hundred and thirteen.
“Still not fair,” Sam pouted, matching Lup’s annoyed demeanor. “You should really be nicer to me. I could tell Ms. Letti you’re being mean.” Taako paused a moment and looked up at the two, taking note of the fiery glare in Lup’s eyes before smirking and returning to his counting, Lup never backed down from a threat. She was better than Taako in that way.
“And then I could burn your tongue off for tattling. Who’d be the real winner then?” Lup smiled coldly and went back to lighting a flame, lighting the candle, blowing it out, etc. Taako knew she wasn’t being serious. It was the one rule they had in all their homes: never mess with other kids. But it was fun to scare them once in a while, especially if the twins were leaving before the day was up. Taako found it was easier if they hated you when you left, than to miss you when you’re gone. Sam’s eyes widened as he watch Lup continue to light her fires and he scurried away, probably to cry to Letti.
It was 5:31, Taako hoped Istus would be here soon. He would be pretty miffed if they had to wait until August 28th, 2018. One thousand six hundred and twenty seven felt better in Taako’s mind than one thousand six hundred and twenty eight. Taako preferred numbers with sevens in them to any other number. He didn’t really know why, he just did.
Click. Two hundred and forty five. Click. Two hundred and forty six. Click. Two hundred and forty seven.
He wished Istus would tell them more about the homes they went to before they got there. Taako liked to be prepared. If he and Lup needed to run then Taako wanted time to get ready. He wanted to know the nearest bus stop, DMV, the cheapest motel. He was always ready to drop off the grid, something he wished he could do more often, if he was being honest. Istus didn’t tell them much about this new home, only that they were staying with a middle aged couple and their two foster kids. Taako hated sharing a foster home. It was hard enough dealing with the foster parents. Foster siblings were even harder. Sometimes Taako found they were harder to deal with than biological kids. At least with biological kids everyone knew their place; the bio kid was the real child, and Lup and Taako were a necessary inconvenience. With other foster kids it was a gamble on who would be favored and why, unwanted friendships, assholes who made life miserable for everyone, toss in all the traumatic system backstories and you had a house full of kids just as fucked up as Taako. He could barely deal with his and Lup’s own fuck-ups, he didn’t need to worry about anyone else’s.
Taako huffed and started clicking faster. It’d be annoying if Istus got here before Taako finished counting. It would leave him restless for the rest of the day, or what was left of it. It was 5:38 now, Taako briefly wondered how bad the traffic was.
Click. Three hundred and eighty nine. Click. Three hundred and ninety. Click. Three hundred and ninety one.
Lup made her way over to where Taako was sitting. Sinking to the ground next to him and resting her back against their shared twin bed that sat behind them.
“You counting?” She asked, linking her pinky with Taako’s free hand.
“Yeah,” He replied. Click. Four hundred and fifty three. “Sorry about Sam, he’s a dick.” Lup smirked.
“It’s fine, never seeing the little gremlin again anyway,” She waved her other hand flippantly before pausing, tilting her head to the side and letting a short laugh puff out of her. “Did you say his name was Sam?” Taako let go of the zipper, making a mental mark of where he was (five hundred and two) and turned to her.
“Yeah, did you not know?” He asked lightly, knitting his brows when she started to laugh harder.
“No I didn’t, I’ve been convinced his name was Daniel for the past three weeks,” She joked and Taako gave her a lazy grin.
“Well, I don’t know who your informant is but they really need to step up their game,” He retorted. He glanced at the time again, 5:53. Lup noticed him looking and frowned, the joking atmosphere dissolving in an instant.
“She’s late,” Lup said.
“Very late,” Taako finished.
“Do you want to go back to counting?” Lup asked and Taako shook his head.
“Nah, I got a feeling I won’t be able to finish and I’d much rather talk to you then get annoyed at a zipper,” He replied and cast his suitcase a scornful look before zipping it up the rest of the way. Normally, he’d be more upset with that but he’d counted his suitcase before, and when the three thousand five hundred sixty fourth, and final, tooth clicked into place he gave his attention back to Lup. “But if she’s not here by six then I might start counting the seconds again.”
“Again?” She asked. “When did you stop last time?”
“5:19,” Taako replied nonchalantly, leaning into Lup’s side. “I wanted to start counting my zippers.” Lup nodded and the two fell into a comfortable silence, squished together uncomfortably, elbows knocking and legs interweaving, just the way they liked it. Taako noticed Lup tapping a soft rhythm into her knee and Taako took that as the okay to start counting again. He watched the second hand on the traditional clock mounted on the wall move to forty three and began following along.
Tick. Fifty eight. Tick. Fifty nine. Tick. Sixty. Tick. One.
Istus didn’t arrive until 6:04 and twenty three seconds. Taako and Lup heard the sharp knock of the door downstairs and gathered their things wordlessly. Between them they only had two suitcases and a makeup bag, which on the one hand, was disgustingly sad and pretty hilarious from Taako’s perspective, but on the other hand made it very easy to pack up and go. Taako grabbed Lup’s hand and they made their way downstairs. As they passed the upstairs’ main hallway and neared the skinny spiral staircase at the end some of the younger kids poked their heads out, pouting at the sight of the twins’ bags.
“Are Taako and Lup leaving?” One of the little girls asked from the doorway of her and three of the other girls bedroom. Her roommate, Sarah, slapped her elbow lightly.
“Yes, now shush, it’s none of your business,” She scolded the child and sent them an apologetic smile. Lup gave her a thankful one back but Taako didn’t miss the thinly veiled jealousy on Sarah’s face. He’d only spoken to Sarah a couple times, he and Lup tended to keep to themselves in group homes, but she’d never had a foster family before and always envied how Taako and Lup had been to several already. If only you knew, Taako thought and turned forward, shaking his head lightly.
Taako lugged their suitcases down the steep stairs and deposited them on the floor with a thump. In front of him Letti stood with her arms crossed and back to the twins, chatting idly with Istus at the door. Istus’ hair was wet from the rain and she stayed in the small rectangular alcove with all the kids’ shoes and coats that connected to the kitchen and the rest of the house, to keep the main floor from getting wet. Taako made his way to the kitchen table, pulling out one of the wooden chairs and using it as a stepstool to get on top of the table, and waited for Istus and Letti to finish speaking.
“-I hope the twins weren’t too much trouble for you,” Istus was saying, her charming smile ever present on her face. Letti chuckled lightly, brushing her long hair away from her eyes.
“Not at all. Well, that’s a lie, but it was as little trouble as the twins could get into,” She joked. Letti was a kind old women in her sixties. She wore soft cardigans, summer dresses, and had billowing salt and pepper hair that she let fall over her shoulders in waves. She was definitely Taako’s favorite guardian, a fair lady and she seemed to want every child in her care happy. It was a nice contrast to what their guardians were normally like. She reminded Taako of their Aunt in a way, someone who only spread kindness and someone they definitely didn’t deserve, this was something he had to push out of his mind constantly, or else he might start crying. “The twins were a delight. I would say I’d love to see them again but I think we’re all hoping that doesn’t happen.”
Taako’s breath hitched. It was the one downside to Letti, he hated how optimistic she was. She never understood the reality of their situation, it was almost a guarantee they’d be back here again. Best case scenario is they run away before anyone gets the chance to kick them out again. He almost wished they were staying. Here they could lay low here and wait to age out of the system, in a foster home anything was fair game.
“Let’s hope luck is on our side then,” Istus smiled and peered over Letti’s shoulder, catching a glimpse of the twins. “Taako! Lup! It’s great to see you kids again.” Taako hopped off the table and walked over to her while Lup grabbed their bags.
“You’re late,” Was all Lup remarked from behind them.
“Two hours, fifty one minutes, and thirteen seconds late,” Taako finished and Istus laughed.
“Yes, of course, sorry to keep you guys waiting, traffic was a nightmare,” She rolled her eyes. “People do not know how to drive in the rain. Are you two ready to go?” She opened the door, looking over her shoulder at the twins. “We’re already behind schedule and I want to get there as soon as possible. It’s going to be a long ride.” Taako glanced at Lup and then back at Istus before nodding.
“Ready as we’ll ever be,” He shrugged, taking his suitcase from his sister. “Thanks for everything Letti.” He added on softly. Part of him wanted to give her a hug, something way too sentimental for normal Taako, he frowned, he was getting too soft for his own good. Lup grabbed his wrist and started to pull him towards the door but Letti stopped them before she could. She grabbed them both into a tight hug, squeezing hard enough to be comforting but not too hard that she was suffocating them. Taako froze in her embrace, he didn’t know how to reciprocate, normal hugs were very different than twin hugs. He could feel goosebumps rising on Lup’s arms next to him.
“You two stay safe,” Letti whispered, if Taako didn’t know any better he’d say it sounded like she was choking up. “Remember that you are stronger than you’ll ever know.” She smelled like old books and jasmine tea.
Letti released them quickly and ruffled their hair, pushing them out the door. Taako flipped his wide brimmed hat over his head just in time, saving his hair from the rain. Lup wasn’t as lucky, the downpour soaking her shoulder length hair instantly. Istus was waiting for them by the car, leaning on the door in a white raincoat. Taako and Lup ran down the sidewalk and popped open the trunk of Istus’ black Subaru. They dumped their bags in and raced around to the back seats, sliding in and slamming the door behind them.
Istus ducked into the passenger side and turned around to the twins. “Kids, this is my friend Pan,” She gestured to the man in the driver’s seat. He was a short man in the fifties with curly brown hair, a well kept beard, and a pot belly. He grinned and waved at the two. “He’s friends with your new foster family and is helping us with drive up.”
“Thank you so much Mr. Pan,” Lup said, making sure to emphasize the “Mr,” some adults were really picky about respect. “I know it must’ve been hard finding us a home.” She muttered the phrase like they were words on a script. In a way, though, they were, the twins had spent years learning to pander to social workers and foster parents. But Pan laughed airily.
“Not at all, little miss. Merle’s an old friend of mine and he’s had a fair bit of experience fostering,” He smiled back at them and Taako noted that he had very red cheeks. He almost looked like Santa. A crusty, brown haired Santa. “And you can just call me Pan, ‘mister’ makes me sound like an old man.” The two sighed in relief as Pan started the car.
“We’re going to try and drive straight through but if you need us to stop for any reason just let me know, okay?” Istus said and looked at them through the rearview mirror. Taako nodded.
“Where are we going anyway?” He asked, drumming his fingers on his leg impatiently.
“Oh! I can’t believe I haven’t told you guys yet, things have been busier than I thought they would be,” Istus laughed nervously. “We’re heading to a small town in West Virginia called Benevolence. It’s like an hour outside New Phandalin?” She turned to Pan for a confirmation, who nodded as they pulled out of Letti’s driveway and away from the kindest home the twins had had since their Aunt passed. Lup stared out the window, a look of mourning on her face while Taako gaped at the two adults.
“West Virginia?!” Taako cried in disbelief. He’d grown used to Houston, it was familiar now. West Virginia was almost twenty hours away.
“Yeah, I think it’d be good for you two to get away from the city. There’s less, um, how to put this, bad influences,” Istus said in the tone of voice adults used when they thought you were just a dumb kid. He knew what she really meant, the twins were the bad influence. Taako had only been picked up for stealing once, a rookie mistake when he was thirteen, but it was no secret he still did it from time to time. And you had to be dense as bricks to not realize Lup was one more hit away from becoming a full time arsonist.
Taako slumped in his seat. He hated small towns. It made him feel so vulnerable. In the city he and Lup could duck out at the drop of hat, vanishing into the huge city crowds and no one could find them. In small towns everyone knew who you were, if something changed in a small town then it was no secret.
Taako let his knee bump into Lup’s and he reached out to hold her hand, he hoped the ride was quick. The quicker they got there the quicker the two could run away and the quicker Taako could finally, finally, disappear.

Britney Spears’s Conservatorship Nightmare | The New Yorker

Britney Spears’s Conservatorship Nightmare | The New Yorker
On June 22nd, Britney Spears’s management team started getting nervous. Spears, who is thirty-nine, has spent the past thirteen years living under a conservatorship, a legal structure in which a person’s personal, economic, and legal decision-making power is ceded to others. Called a guardianship in most states, the arrangement is intended for people who cannot take care of themselves. Since the establishment of Spears’s conservatorship, she has released four albums, headlined a global tour that grossed a hundred and thirty-one million dollars, and performed for four years in a hit Las Vegas residency. Yet her conservators, who include her father, Jamie Spears, have controlled her spending, communications, and personal decisions.
In April, Spears had requested a hearing, in open court, to discuss the terms of the arrangement. It was scheduled for June 23rd. Members of Spears’s team, most of whom have had little or no direct contact with her for years, didn’t expect drastic changes to result. Two years earlier, in the midst of health struggles and pressure from Spears, Jamie had stepped down from his duties overseeing her personal life, and now the team thought that perhaps she wanted to remove him as the conservator of her financial affairs. Some of the team told reporters that they believed Spears liked the conservatorship arrangement, as long as her father wasn’t involved.
Running the business of Britney had become routine: every Thursday at noon, about ten people responsible for managing Spears’s legal and business affairs, public relations, and social media met to discuss merchandise deals, song-license requests, and Spears’s posts to Instagram and Twitter. (“This is how it works without her,” one member of the team said.) Spears, according to her management, typically writes the posts and submits them to CrowdSurf, a company employed to handle her social media, which then uploads them. In rare cases, posts that raise legal questions have been deemed too sensitive to upload. “She’s not supposed to discuss the conservatorship,” the team member said.
On the eve of the hearing, according both to a person close to Spears and to law enforcement in Ventura County, California, where she lives, Spears called 911 to report herself as a victim of conservatorship abuse. (Emergency calls in California are generally accessible to the public, but the county, citing an ongoing investigation, sealed the records of Spears’s call.) Members of Spears’s team began texting one another frantically. They were worried about what Spears might say the next day, and they discussed how to prepare in the event that she went rogue. In court on the 23rd, an attorney for the conservatorship urged the judge to clear the courtroom and seal the transcript of Spears’s testimony. Spears, calling into the hearing, objected. “Somebody’s done a good job at exploiting my life,” she said, adding, “I feel like it should be an open-court hearing—they should listen and hear what I have to say.” Then, for the first time in years, Spears spoke for herself, sounding lucid and furious, talking so fast that the judge interjected repeatedly to tell her to slow down, to allow for accurate transcription. “The people who did this to me should not get away,” Spears said. Addressing the judge directly, she added, “Ma’am, my dad, and anyone involved in this conservatorship, and my management, who played a huge role in punishing me when I said no—Ma’am, they should be in jail.”
For the next twenty minutes, Spears described how she had been isolated, medicated, financially exploited, and emotionally abused. She assigned harsh blame to the California legal system, which she said let it all happen. She added that she had tried to complain to the court before but had been ignored, which made her “feel like I was dead,” she said—“like I didn’t matter.” She wanted to share her story publicly, she said, “instead of it being a hush-hush secret to benefit all of them.” She added, “It concerns me I’ve been told I’m not allowed to expose the people who did this to me.” At one point, she told the court, “All I want is to own my money, for this to end, and for my boyfriend to drive me in his fucking car.”
Spears’s remarks were incendiary but, for people familiar with the creation and the functioning of her conservatorship, not surprising. Andrew Gallery, a photographer who worked for Spears in 2008, attended the hearing, watching the lawyers’ faces on a monitor. “As she spoke, I wanted to scream, and gasp, and shout ‘What the fuck is going on?’ ” he said. “But the lawyers had no reaction. They just sat there.”
The conservatorship was instituted by Spears’s family—in part out of real concerns about her mental health, people close to the family said. But the family was divided by money and fame, and Spears, in an underregulated part of the legal system, was stripped of her rights. She has fought for years to get them back.
As a pop star, Spears sustained a multinational industry of managers, agents, producers, lawyers, publicists, and assorted hangers-on. As the subject of the conservatorship, she has provided for the livelihood of even more lawyers and other court-appointed professionals. Jacqueline Butcher, a former friend of the Spears family who was present in court for the conservatorship’s creation, said she regrets the testimony that she offered to help secure it. “At the time, I thought we were helping,” she said. “And I wasn’t, and I helped a corrupt family seize all this control.”
Jamie Spears, who is sixty-eight, has graying hair and a hangdog demeanor. When he was thirteen, he endured an unimaginable tragedy: his mother committed suicide on the grave of one of her sons, who had died eight years earlier, at just three days old. In high school, Jamie was a basketball and football star; later, he worked as a welder and a cook. Lynne Spears, Britney’s mother, grew up with Jamie, in the small town of Kentwood, Louisiana. Sixty-six years old, she has a smile like Britney’s and thick dark hair with bangs. She used to run her own day-care center. Friends describe her as traditional and nonconfrontational. In a conversation in June, she was fastidiously polite as she declined to answer detailed questions about the case. She spoke in a whisper and apologized that she might have to hang up abruptly if other family members walked in and discovered her speaking to a reporter. “I got mixed feelings about everything,” she said. “I don’t know what to think. . . . It’s a lot of pain, a lot of worry.” She added, a little wryly, “I’m good. I’m good at deflecting.” Jamie and Lynne eloped when she was twenty-one, and the marriage was troubled from the start: in divorce papers filed, then withdrawn, in 1980, less than two years before Britney’s birth, Lynne accused Jamie of cheating on her on Christmas Day. Jamie wrestled with alcoholism, going on benders so egregious that Lynne once shelled his cooler with a shotgun.
But Jamie and Lynne worked together to make Britney, their second child, happy and a success. She was a born performer, a scene-stealer at dance recitals starting at age three. Her parents drove her to small dance competitions in Lafayette, then to larger ones in New Orleans. They borrowed money from friends to pay for gas to get her to auditions. Spears snagged an understudy role on Broadway and then a stint in the nineties version of “The Mickey Mouse Club.” When she was sixteen, she signed a six-album deal with Jive Records, thanks to an enterprising entertainment lawyer named Larry Rudolph, who became her manager. A precise and commanding dancer with an unmistakable vocal tone of sugary coyness, Spears emerged as a teen-pop singularity. In 1998, the music video for her début single, “. . . Baby One More Time,” featuring a sixteen-year-old Spears in a Catholic-schoolgirl outfit, exploded across American pop culture like fireworks on the Fourth of July. The pleated skirt and bare midriff were her idea—a fact that’s sometimes cited as evidence of her self-determination but might also suggest an intuition, common among teen-age girls, of the compromised power of sex appeal.
Because Jamie and Lynne had two other children to look after, a family friend chaperoned Spears for much of her early career. But Spears remained close to her mother, and, in 2000, she built a four-and-a-half-million-dollar estate for Lynne in Kentwood. That year, according to “Through the Storm,” a memoir that Lynne published in 2008, Spears urged her mother to divorce her father, knowing that “years and years of verbal abuse, abandonment, erratic behavior, and his simply not being there for me had taken their toll,” Lynne writes. She and Jamie divorced in May, 2002, and Spears told People that it was “the best thing that’s ever happened to my family.”
Spears had just broken up with Justin Timberlake, a fellow teen-pop icon, whom she had met when she was eleven, when they were both cast as Mouseketeers. The breakup destabilized her, people close to her remember; her status as half of a golden couple had become an integral part of her identity, and after the split her sex life became a regular topic in the news. She began going out more and hanging out with Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, forming a holy trinity for tabloid culture at its early-two-thousands peak. “The paparazzi were out of control,” Hilton recalled, of one night with Spears at the Beverly Hills Hotel. “Fighting over getting the shot, pushing each other against my car, scratching it with their cameras. It was overwhelming and frightening.” The hairdresser Kim Vo, Spears’s longtime colorist, remembers how, one day, as Spears was getting her hair done, a paparazzo scaled a wall and broke a salon window with his fist.
Spears distracted herself with work—a relentless grind of dance rehearsals, studio sessions, photo shoots, stadium performances, long nights on the tour bus, and hotel check-ins before dawn. “The schedule was crazier and crazier,” Julianne Kaye, a makeup artist who worked with Spears in the early years, said. “She would have little breakdowns. She was always crying, saying, ‘I want to be normal.’ ” Spears blew off steam by partying: she smoked weed, used cocaine, took Molly with her dancers and jumped into the Mediterranean Sea. But the machinery around her only grew. When she toured, the crew took at least a dozen buses and filled entire hotel floors.
In the spring of 2004, Spears met a dancer named Kevin Federline at a night club, and they were married within six months. Spears initially did not secure a prenuptial agreement, which prompted panic in her family. A considerable fortune was at stake. “Lynne lost her mind,” Butcher, the family friend, recalled. “They weren’t gonna allow the wedding to be made legal.” The marriage contract wasn’t signed until the month after the ceremony, when Federline legally agreed to limit his stake in Spears’s estate. But Spears seemed thrilled, and commissioned a photo shoot in which she dressed up as a French maid and served drinks to Federline, who wore a trucker hat, cargo shorts, and flip-flops. Spears wanted a family. “I’ve had a career since I was 16, have traveled around the world & back and even kissed Madonna!” she wrote on her Web site, two months after getting married. “The only thing I haven’t done so far is experience the closest thing to God and that’s having a baby. I can’t wait!”
Spears’s first son, Sean Preston, was born ten months after the wedding. “Our life was running at 150,000 miles an hour,” Federline later told Us Weekly. “I’d walk into a club and get a table worth $15,000 a night with unlimited free drinking. . . . But everything got so crazy.” Spears had been so sheltered that Paris Hilton had to show her how to use Google, according to a person who was there. She negotiated the hormonal and logistical turbulence of early motherhood while paparazzi, eager to monetize her mistakes, chased her down, pointing flashbulbs and shouting provocations any time she left the house. After she was photographed driving with an infant Preston on her lap, she explained that she had been trying to get away from paparazzi—and besides, she added, she had grown up riding on her dad’s lap on country roads. A few months later, visibly pregnant and holding Preston, she stumbled while surrounded by photographers; the paparazzi kept shooting as she retreated to a café, cradled her baby, and cried.
Spears had her second child, Jayden James, in September, 2006. Three weeks later, Federline took a private jet to Vegas to party with his friends. Spears filed for divorce in November, reportedly notifying Federline by text message. At a night club, he scrawled on a bathroom wall “Today I’m a free man—f**k a wife, give me my kids bitch!” He requested full custody. While the divorce was being adjudicated, he and Spears divided parental duties. Preston was a little more than a year old, and Spears was still nursing Jayden; she wanted to be with them all the time, and hated being at home without them. “I did not know what to do with myself,” she said later, in an MTV documentary. Spears and Federline both went out on their free nights, but Spears was the one who became the target of tabloid blood sport. (“MOMMY’S CRYING,” Us Weekly blared, over a full-page photo of Preston.) In February, 2007, she shaved off her hair, at a salon in Tarzana; five days later, she attacked a paparazzo’s car with an umbrella. The two incidents cemented her image as “crazy.” Both were precipitated by her driving to Federline’s house, trailed by photographers, and being refused access to her kids.
Many people who were close to Spears during her early career suspect that she was dealing with postpartum depression, but none of them remembers anyone bringing it up with her. Some of the same people said that Spears was also struggling with drugs and alcohol. Her mother and Federline insisted that, if Spears wanted to spend more time with her children, she needed to go to rehab. In early 2007, she checked into a treatment center in Antigua, then checked out after just one day. The judge in the custody hearing, who had cited Spears’s “habitual, frequent uses of controlled substances and alcohol,” gave primary custody of the children to Federline, granting Spears four days of visitation per week, under the eye of a court-ordered monitor named Robin Johnson.
Around this time, Spears met Sam Lutfi, a Hollywood operator with a knack for insinuating himself into the lives of turbulent female stars. Spears had recently parted ways with Larry Rudolph, her longtime manager, and she began to entrust her professional and private affairs to Lutfi. Now forty-six, Lutfi cuts a nondescript figure: average height, occasionally goateed, favoring baseball caps and black T-shirts. Over coffee at a Los Angeles restaurant this spring, he said that Spears took to him in part because he told her that she didn’t have to work nearly as hard as she was. “She’d always believed there were massive consequences if she didn’t work, that she’d lose so much, and it blew her mind that she could just call the shots,” he said. “You want to cancel that meeting? Cancel it. You’re gonna lose five grand? Lose it. She’d walk into a car dealership, say she wanted something. I’d say, ‘Buy it.’ Her parents would say, ‘Why would you let her do that?’ But it’s an eighty-thousand-dollar car, not a yacht, and she just got fifteen million from Estée Lauder. Anyway, she’s an adult. I’m not gonna tell her that she can’t buy a fucking yacht.” (Lutfi later assumed a similar role in the life of Courtney Love, who called him a “street hustler,” and he said that he advised Amanda Bynes’s family as they placed her in a conservatorship. He is currently subject to a five-year restraining order filed against him, in 2019, by a conservatorship lawyer, on Spears’s behalf.)

In universe NSP anything?
so this is maybe not what you meant by “in universe” but MAN i am a sucker for assassins/hit men and that’s what this turned into
cn: assassin AU, murder, violence, discussion of all of the above; it’s shippy but that isn’t really the focus
he's not actually a mute.
it's one of danny's favorite misconceptions about them - the mute and his idiot savant friend, exuberant and charismatic and lucky enough to pair up with somebody that knows what the fuck he's doing so he didn't get killed years ago on a small-time hit gone sideways. there's this perverse, pervasive idea in their community (whatever that is - but it's there) that brian's the one in charge.
danny doesn't do much to discourage it, even when brian buys into it. so maybe this is his fault.
brian's not actually a mute, although sometimes - like right now - danny really, really fucking wishes he were. they've been on top of a pittsburg apartment complex (too close, he thinks; brian goes on solo jobs to philly) for three hours and fifty-six minutes, just waiting.
(that's one more thing. how do you get anything done with that asshole around? jesus, man, he'd be my next hit if i had to work with him. ha, ha, ha.)
still, and quiet, and controlled. he was in dance as a kid, and martial arts, too, a lifetime ago, a thousand years ago: breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth, and count with me: five in, hold for seven, nine out. feel the way your heart slows down? you're calming down your nervous system. now you can focus.
brian's the one that fidgets, funnily enough. he's full of energy this close to a hit; he's been in the same spot the entire time they've been up here, but he keeps drumming his fingers against his thighs, curling his toes inside his boots. it's a miracle he's not up and pacing. if everything wasn't almost in place, danny would blow him just to chill him out a little bit.
in his defense, it's a big hit. danny doesn't know the details, and doesn't really care to; an ambassador, a diplomat, a foreign businessman, something. he knows the rifle in brian's hands is a russian dragunov for a reason. he knows they each got paid a hundred and twenty-five grand just to set this up, and that there's the same amount waiting when they get back.
they're looking into a private apartment complex. no one lives there - half of the apartments are rented out, but nobody in the building has an internet connection or an electricity bill or a car that moves more than once a week, so whoever arranged this either got sloppy or thought they covered their trail well enough that they wouldn't have to worry about it - which is the same thing as sloppy, as far as danny is concerned.
it's a private apartment complex, gated, and the doormen - two of them, in well-cut navy suits - are packing underneath their pressed jackets. very well-paid doormen, danny thinks, amused. they didn't make them like that in jersey.
two doormen, six security guards, and their target. nobody else in the building.
their target is an olive-skinned heavyset man in his mid-to-late forties, and he looks like he used to be handsome, once, but a lifetime of excess has taken its toll in his squashed ruddy face and the spare tire around his middle that his expertly-tailored suit tries vainly to disguise. it's a really fucking nice suit, danny thinks. it sucks that they're going to get brains all over it.
their target is also a smoker. he's been outside twice in the last hour with a pack of bastos, puffing away and angrily waving his security detail back like they're flies circling around shit. the apartment he's in has a fire escape and a balcony that both face their direction.
"remember all those PSAs about cigarettes," danny says quietly, "back in the nineties? about how smoking kills?"
brian hums.
"i'm just saying - maybe this guy shoulda paid attention."
--
it's another hour before they can make the shot.
the deal is: someone will be by the apartment. the doormen will let them in. between ten and fifteen minutes later, after the doormen verify that they haven't been followed, they will leave. danny wasn't told if it would be a man or a woman, but when it happens, it's a tall, handsome brunette in a suit skirt and a tight bun much like his own.
he doesn't know if she's giving or receiving. all he knows is that they are, under no circumstances, to make their move until she's gone. as far as he's concerned, it's one of the simpler contracts they've been given recently.
(no more fucking saudis, he'd told brian months ago. i want at least two years before we go back to the middle east. and what had brian done not even three days later? danny doesn't know why he'd bothered being surprised.)
but - she leaves, and she leaves alive, and they even give it another fifteen minutes after her tahoe leaves, just to make sure.
the hiccup, though - the hitch in the giddyup, as danny's temporary panhandle partner had said, a long time ago - is unexpected. when their target comes back out to smoke, strides angry and short, he's got two of his guards with him. the others are in the room just behind, just visible through the three big, expensive windows - all but one, who danny's sure is manning the front door.
brian swings the rifle an inch and a half to the left, takes careful, precise aim at the back of one bald head.
danny blocks the barrel, sidesteps neatly in front of it, feels the hot metal press into his skin through his jacket-shirt-armor. stomach-level, he thinks. not where kids think the stomach is, lower-center, under the ribs; brian nudges forward, presses harder, left-upper-abdomen (wrong side, his mind helpfully supplies, hit the liver in-and-up and they'll bleed out twice as fast).
"they're not part of the contract."
"they're in the way." brian's voice is doing the thing danny hates. he gets flat when he's angry, his face and voice and eyes, flat and dead. "that makes them part of the fucking contract by default."
"they're not the target," danny says, and keeps his voice perfectly, purposefully level. brian latches onto emotion - weakness - as fast as he can, gets it in his teeth like a terrier gets a rat and rips it the fuck apart. "and there are too many of them. it'll take too long to hit him and his detail."
(it’s not true. he knows it’s not true. that doesn’t stop him from trying.)
"leaving them alive is a stupid risk," brian says. "do we take stupid risks?"
danny grits his teeth and sees a flash of triumph in brian's eyes as soon as he does. brian saw the muscle in his jaw clench. saw him, for just a second, frustrated.
"no."
"that's right," brian says. he has the decency, at least, not to sound overtly smug. "move."
danny doesn't. "i'll take it."
"we don't have time for this."
"i'll take the fucking shot," danny says. brian looks up from his scope and danny won't look away, makes eye contact for much longer than he's usually willing to. brian has shark eyes. it's not the first time danny's had that thought. "you play with your fucking food. like you said: we don't have time."
brian gets up, slowly, and eases to the side. danny, for just a moment, expects him to reach for one of the tactical knives he keeps on him - shin-belt-shoulder-forearm, underneath all that hot black clothing.
"have at it," brian says instead. his voice is so calm that it's almost cheerful. "there are six guards and i guarantee there are at least six more on the street. i give them forty-five seconds before they're headed up here after you take that shot."
danny doesn't reply, settles into the position brian had just been in. he's taller, and he has to adjust the scope a little, has to give his longer fingers more room to work.
in movies, the target is always last. there's always thirty to sixty seconds of pants-pissing terror when he sees all of his hired muscle die around him. he gets to know that death is coming, grapple with that, maybe beg, maybe cry.
this isn't a movie. one second, their target is sucking his cigarette down to its filter and getting ready to toss the butt over the railing; the next, the back of his head is splattered all over the expensive brownstone behind him.
the two guards outside hit the deck, and he's got to hand it to them - that's smart, at least. the ones inside aren't as well-prepared; two the trunk each, six altogether, because glass (and this glass, he thinks, was probably marketed as bulletproof, which means that whoever installed it has some explaining to do) makes headshots harder than he'd like to admit. the two outside are army-crawling back into the building, but they're slower than they think. he manages a headshot on one and lights the other up, three in the back.
"good boy," brian says, and when danny looks up, he almost looks proud.
"yeah," he says, "fuck you," and doesn't mean it.

THEN I saw another progress and regulation which he effected in the law of the moon. The progress of the moons, and everything, Uriy'el showed me, the holy angel who conducted them all. Their stations I wrote down as he showed them to me. I wrote down their months, as they occur, and the appearance of their light, until it is completed in fifteen days. In each of its two seven portions it completes all its light at rising and at setting. On stated months it changes settings; and on stated months it makes its progress on each. In two the moon sets with the sun, in those two gates which are in the midst, in the third and fourth gate. It goes forth for seven days, and makes its circuit. Again it returns to the gate whence the sun goes forth, and in that completes the whole of its light. Then it declines from the sun, and enters in eight days into the sixth gate, from which the sun goes forth. When the sun proceeds to the fourth gate, it goes forth for seven days, until it passes from the fifth. Again it returns in seven days to the fourth gate, and completing all its light, declines, and passes on by the first gate in eight days; And returns in seven days to the fourth gate, from which the sun goes forth. Thus I beheld their stations, as according to the fixed order of the months the sun rises and sets. At those times there is an excess of thirty days belonging to the sun in five years; all the days belonging to each year of the five years, when completed, amount to three hundred and sixty-four days; and to the sun and stars belong six days; six days in each of the five years; thirty days belonging to them; So that the moon has thirty days less than the sun and stars. The moon brings on all the years exactly, that their stations may come neither too forwards nor too backwards a single day; but that the years may be changed with correct precision in three hundred and sixty-four days. In three years the days are one thousand and ninety-two; in five years they are one thousand eight hundred and twenty; and in eight years two thousand nine hundred and twelve days. To the moon alone belong in three years one thousand and sixty-two days; in five years it has fifty days less, for an addition being made to the sixty-two days, in five years there are one thousand seven hundred and seventy days; and the days of the moon in eight years are two thousand eight hundred and thirty-two days. For its days in eight years are less eighty days, which eighty days are its diminution in eight years. The year then becomes truly complete according to the station of the moon, and the station of the sun; which rise in the gates; which rise and set in them for thirty days.

Here is what Death has to say about your present circumstances.
These times of your Covid pandemic are nothing new for me. I have returned with a greater presence, and as cold and clichéd as it sounds, I am here for your own good because I love you.
When things get to the point of unsustainability, I am obligated to bring more drastic balancing forces into play to serve the greater good. Aside from your present Covid virus, I have legions of other allies that are invisible to the naked eye bringing millions of souls home to me in short periods of time.
There have been many mass exoduses of souls who came home to me throughout history, most of which came with the domestication of animals in forms like influenza and tuberculosis, so in that spirit, here are a few historical examples to give you a sense of how I work.
In the four-hundred-thirty BC Plague of Athens typhoid fever killed a quarter of Athenian troops and a quarter of the population over the next four years. Its virulence prevented a wider spread because it killed off its hosts faster than they could spread it. In one-hundred-sixty-five to one-hundred-eighty AD the Antonine Plague brought to the Italian peninsula by soldiers returning from the Near East killed a quarter of those infected, up to five million in all. At the height of a second outbreak, in the Plague of Cyprian from two-hundred-fifty-one to to-hundred-sixty-six, five thousand people a day died in Rome.
In another major housecleaning and homecoming from five-hundred-forty-one to seven-hundred-fifty the Plague of Justinian was the first recorded outbreak of the bubonic plague that started in Egypt and reached Constantinople the following spring killing ten thousand a day at its height, going on to eliminate a quarter to a half of the human population throughout the known world causing Europe's population to drop by about half between five-hundred-fifty and seven hundred.
From thirteen-thirty-one to thirteen-fifty-three I raged as the Black Death and brought seventy-five million souls home. Starting in Asia, I reached Mediterranean and western Europe in thirteen-forty-eight and killed twenty to thirty million Europeans in six years, a third of the total population.
There were more than a hundred epidemics in Europe in this period and it recurred in England every two to five years from thirteen-sixty-one to fourteen-eighty. By the thirteen-seventies England's population was reduced by half. The Great Plague of London of sixteen-sixty-five to sixteen-sixty-six was its last major outbreak in England when we took about one-hundred-thousand souls.
Another plague started in China in eighteen-fifty-five and spread to India where ten million people died. During this eruption the United States saw its first outbreak in the San Francisco plague of nineteen-hundred to nineteen–o-four.
Aside from my star performers I have typhus, measles, tuberculosis, leprosy, malaria, yellow fever, and more recently SARS, Ebola, and Zika viruses. Mind you, these are just my microbial armies that work closely with my insect and animal kingdoms to reduce their numbers in the name of restoring balance in the service of the Great Mystery.
Modern day viral hemorrhagic fevers like Ebola, Lassa fever, Rift Valley fever, Marburg virus, and Bolivian hemorrhagic fever are highly contagious and deadly, but their ability to cause a massive outbreak is limited because their transmission requires close contact with an infected vector that only has a short time before I end it. The short time between a vector becoming infectious and the onset of symptoms lets medical professionals quarantine vectors and prevent them from breaking out elsewhere. Genetic mutations can also occur that increase their potential for widespread harm.
This is why you are quarantining and practicing your social distancing.
Antibiotic-resistant microorganisms called superbugs can cause the re-emergence of diseases that are currently controlled. Cases of tuberculosis resistant to traditionally effective treatments remain a big threat. Every year nearly half a million new cases of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis occur worldwide with China and India having the highest rates. About fifty million people worldwide are infected with multidrug-resistant TB, seventy-nine percent of which are resistant to three or more antibiotics. In two-thousand-five, one-hundred-twenty-four cases were reported in the United States and extensive drug-resistant TB was identified in Africa in two-thousand-six and subsequently discovered in forty-nine other countries including the United States. There are about forty thousand new cases every year.
Common infectious bacteria have developed resistance to whole classes of antibiotics. Antibiotic-resistant organisms have also become an important cause of healthcare-associated infections and infections caused by community-acquired strains of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus known as MRSA in otherwise healthy people.
Aside from your destruction of the natural world, I still have to bring in forces bigger than you, or to be more precise forces that you call in when your consumption outgrows what your environment can handle. In terms of extending your time in the third dimension and your clever schemes of gaining more while you are there, you are your own worst enemy, and knowingly or not, all that you do plays into the inescapable goal of the Great Mystery bringing things into balance.

Mashke on the Front Lines
Rabbi Chanoch Glitzenstein, who ran one of the Chabad divisions, relates:
It was a few days after the ceasefire. To be more precise, it was on Motzaei Shabbos Noach, October 27, 1973. Nine Lubavitchers from Eretz Yisroel were still in New York, having spent the High Holidays and Succoth with the Rebbe.
They were suddenly called into the Rebbe’s room. The Rebbe, seated at his desk, turned to them and said:
“Due to the events that transpired on Yom Kippur, I request that some action take place to encourage the soldiers on the front lines, to raise their spirits, and to infuse them with new hope. Take some bottles of liquor with you from kos shel bracha (considered on the level of the “wine preserved from the Six Days of Creation”) and some silver coins, and go to the Israeli soldiers in their camps and on their bases. Serve them the liquor and drink l’chaim. Give each soldier two coins, one for charity in my name and mission and the other for his personal use or to keep as a charm.”
The Rebbe held up copies of two letters that he had written during the battles to soldiers who asked him for a blessing. “Not one soldier should be overlooked. This operation needs to be done with the knowledge of the general staff of the IDF and with its explicit permission. In each of the units that will spread out to all the army bases, it would be desirable to include someone who spent the High Holidays with the Rebbe and who can explain the significance of the war and the results. Not a word should be publicized before carrying out this mission to its end.” That is what the Rebbe instructed, and he gave his emissaries his blessings.
When the emissaries went home and told the local leaders what the Rebbe had said, the Chassidim got enthusiastically to work. Within a few days, a headquarters was set up and “forces” were enlisted and divided into units. The army command accepted the idea enthusiastically, although for certain time-related reasons there was some delay in carrying out the activities.
In the end, full cooperation was secured. The IDF provided Chabad with vehicles, security, escorts, guidance, and even special flights to distant bases. Chabad prepared tens of thousands of booklets containing the following:
1) The Rebbe’s blessing to the Israeli soldiers; 2) Two letters of the Rebbe, along with commentary on the Bible and the Torah; 3) Some of the Rebbe’s views about the war, and the lessons learned on the holiness of the land and the obligation to protect it in its entirety and to keep it secure.
Tefillin, liquor, cups, pastries, and coins were loaded into boxes and placed into the cars and planes. The operation began.
Coin around the Neck
We first went to the bases located in the Central Region command. Chabad in Jerusalem took responsibility for this section of the front. A hundred of us went, for three days and nights, from base to base, camp to camp, outpost to outpost.
The home front command and the education officers did all they could to facilitate our arrival at our destinations and carrying out our mission. Vehicles, drivers, escorts, and security were provided. Wherever we went, the commanders already knew about our coming and were ready to greet us.
It went something like this: first we entered the command tent, where we offered tefillin to the commanders. Nobody refused. We gave them the booklets with the Rebbe’s message and blessings; we poured cups of liquor and drank l’chaim, a toast, to the life of the country, to the lives of the soldiers, and to a quick victory over all the enemies of Israel. We gave out the coins, one for charity in the Rebbe’s name and the second for personal use. Then we left.
The commanders gathered the soldiers. One of the group members addressed them and explained the purpose of our mission. We told them that throughout the war the Rebbe never stopped thinking of Israel and the battlefronts and that he prayed continually for them. We read portions from what the Rebbe said at the recent summer farbrengens, during which he hinted to the possibility of war and the need to prepare practically and spiritually.
In response to questions, the Rebbe’s position on current problems – i.e. war, settlements – was clarified. We drank l’chaim with each soldier and explained to them about charity and the coins the Rebbe sent them. The soldiers were particularly excited about keeping one as either a souvenir or talisman. They even asked to drill a hole in it so it could be worn around the neck. While drinking the liquor, the soldiers wanted to know about kos shel bracha and the significance of making a toast.
After inspiring words mixed with Torah thoughts and Chassidic tales, large circles formed. Hundreds of soldiers joined along with the Lubavitchers, who sang and danced. The revelry went on for hours – in certain instances, late into the night.
In the Jordan Valley, we were sixty men who broke up into fourteen units. For three days and three nights we combed through all the camps and positions. Soldiers grabbed up the coins, drank the liquor, and took in the Rebbe’s words. They sang and danced, and participated in evenings with Chabad. They totally enjoyed the experience.
Highest Level
In the booklets that were distributed, the Lubavitcher Rebbe wrote that the soldiers called up to war were on the level of tzaddikim gemurim (completely righteous), for the war began on Yom Kippur, which atones for all sins. In one of the discourses, the Rebbe stressed learning from the soldiers who put naaseh (we will do) before nishma (we will understand) and who staunchly carry out the orders of those appointed over them. The Rebbe repeated what he said earlier, about the special role of the Jews among the nations and of our victory over our enemies and in all wars until the coming of Moshiach.
Over 100,000 copies were distributed during the campaign. Tens of thousands of additional copies were left in camps and with the education officers to give out on other occasions. The amount of liquor consumed for toasts was enormous; it was mixed from bottles of liquor the Rebbe had sent. Tens of thousands were opened during the campaign in order to provide a small cup for every soldier.
Israeli soldiers were called upon to trust in G-d and not to fear. As an added measure, the Rebbe suggested that the soldiers lay tefillin every day, increase in charity, and, as much as possible, do these two mitzvoth together with Torah study, even the smallest amount, from the booklets they were given.
Days later, the signal was given to begin the campaign in the Golan Heights. Groups of Lubavitchers reached all the way to the Hermon and visited all the outposts and strongholds. Chabad songs and the Rebbe’s words echoed in Syria too, along the ceasefire line.
After the Valley and the Golan it was the turn of Sinai, the west bank of the Suez Canal, Sharm-el-Sheikh, and the navy. The Lubavitchers boarded missile boats and all the other naval ships, where they were joyfully received by commanders and soldiers alike.
In the Golan they met Moshe Dayan and offered him liquor. He smiled and said he was pleased with this campaign. “You drink the mashke (liquor),” he said. “I will drink grapefruit juice.”
Wounded Man Recovered
As is the way with Chassidim, there was no lack of miracle stories, performed with the Rebbe’s power.
A few days earlier, a letter arrived from a wounded soldier who was hospitalized in Beer Sheva:
I am severely wounded. The pains in my foot are terrible. Yesterday, Chabad came and visited and brought mashke from the Rebbe’s kos shel bracha, and they gave out coins to keep and for tzedaka (charity). I did not drink immediately. I left the mashke for the next day. This morning, I woke up and put on tefillin, as the Chabadnikim suggested. I gave the coin to tzedaka and drank l’chaim from the Rebbe’s mashke.
What can I tell you? It’s unbelievable. The pain in my foot went away and I have already asked the nurse to try and get me out of bed. I am sure that I will be able to walk on my two feet. Please, write thanks to the Rebbe . . . . he is amazing . . . . he is amazing . . . . he not only cheered me up; he healed my foot.
The council chairman Kfar Chabad, Mr. Davidowitz, said that when he was at 770 for the High Holidays, the Rebbe gave him a bottle of liquor to distribute to Kfar Chabad. On his return home, the chairman heard that one of the young residents had been severely injured by a missile during a tank battle, which left him hospitalized and unconscious.
Immediately Mr. Davidowitz thought, “Perhaps this is what the Rebbe had in mind,” and he went to the hospital. Hearing that the soldier’s watch had stopped in the attack, Mr. Davidowitz told the doctor attendant that it was precisely that day and time when the Rebbe had given him the bottle of liquor. The doctor agreed to place a drop of the liquor into the man’s mouth.
To the amazement of the doctor, the man opened his eyes and regained consciousness.
The commanders did not have enough words to praise Chabad for their remarkable work. The Chabadnikim do not hide their pride over the “bridgehead” that they managed to secure and the path they paved to the hearts of the Israeli soldiers.

EMERGENCY!!!!!!! DUMP THEN BIG PUMP FOR BITCOIN TO THIS EXACT PRICE!!!!! w. DavinciJ15
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
Our interests were shot. We’re gonna see a big dump and then a big public memorial today for the Bitcoin price with Da Vinci. Jeff 15. What the heck? What’s happening yesterday? Two Bitcoin guys. Look at this. Some crazy moves were coming in. Some crazy moves are about to come. We hit the nine thousand five hundred dollar level and we had a crazy retracement down more than 1000 dollar. And the question everyone is asking right now, will this dump continue or will we find the price target of ten thousand five hundred U.S. dollars? Very soon we will pull out the charts because the charts have a very clear answer today and we will tell you exactly what we are expecting for the big price in the immediate short term with specific price targets, with Devin G.J. Fifteen and of course, guys to look at the color of his shirt. It’s very, very green today. We will talk about all of that and also pull out the most important use of today here. It’s a German news. It’s just in breaking news. The Deutsche Bank, the German bank here is introducing negative interest for deposits and for balances above thousand U.S. dollars. We will talk about the implications, about the severe implications for everyone watching right now. No matter if you’re living in Nigeria, in the United States or wherever in the world, this will have severe implications. So make sure you take a seat, make sure you scroll down, you’ll click the like button, because yesterday we hit 3000 likes. Let’s do that again. Thank you so much for that. And we want to come right now to the most important question of the day, Da Vinci J. Fifteen. How are you doing today, ma’am? I’m doing great, man, except for the fact that, you know what people I think are not seeing my videos. I think the team has shadow banned. We’ll be talking about that after the technical analysis. Yes. How are you doing in Thailand? Right. Is it nice and hot there? I’m doing very well. It’s like always 30 degrees Celsius here. It’s starting to rain a little bit, but I do not complain at all. There’s no reason to complain here right now. So I’m very happy. You are very happy. I hope the whole audience is very happy despite the crazy situation we are all facing right now. And of course, I’m also keen to talk about this. Shadow banking right now here on your channel. And we will see what all of that means. If your trip is about it’s against Bitcoin, is Twitter against Bitcoin. All of that later on in the episode. Right now, let’s check out the bitcoin price in the immediate short term because crazy things were happening and crazy things are about to happen. All right. Well, let’s just switch over to the charts and see what we’ve got here. This is our weekly chart that I keep showing you guys. Nothing. I don’t think there’s anything on the indicators that we were worth leading up anymore. Because right now, all they have a little bit of a W here on our side. But nothing worse with take what we’re talking about. Remember how we had the two weeks we had on the indicators on two weeks, actually. Now I think about it. Yes. So look at the two weeks a week. Take a look at this. You can see what what do we see here? Can you tell me what that is like? A divergence? Right. It is not a woman’s body parts, but divergence. It actually looks a little bit like it. Yeah, but we don’t want to get into that right here, even though we have. Ninety five percent May of us. This is not the road we want to go ahead. No. Exactly. Exactly. So. So did we. We haven’t confirmed yet. But the momentum is moving upward. So if we do confirm that, we might confirm it in the next two weeks. Candlestick here. That’s very bullish. That’s very bullish. So it doesn’t matter if, you know, Bitcoin backs off a little bit and then it comes back up over the next two weeks. That’s fine. We are going to do something nice and bullish. Bullish mostly. I want to say something to you. Thanks for bringing us the two weeks. Because sometimes some people are stuck too much here in the shorter timeframes, especially looking at fall for price predictions, too, that I am having and beyond. Because if you will, looking at the four hour the one hour you were able to find some bearish divergences every now and then. But zooming out to remember, always we are saying when it don’t smile. If you zoom out to the two weeks, you can find bullish things like that. And this might give you a much more much more precise picture to what is going to happen for Bitcoin, especially within the next few weeks. So thanks for doing that. I mean, she this is zooming out. You sometimes can be very insightful. Exactly. Exactly. So what I always went in and out. Zoom out. That’s a gesture. You could easily get caught up on the lower timeframes and fear and miss the bigger picture. So anyway, it’s looking at the bigger like I’m zooming down into the dailies. I really think that we’re in the pipe five by five. And when for some chop here, I think we’re in for it should chop and then. Retest of the trend line. And maybe a break and then a break down to probably the six six six level. Because look, look what the 50 percent Fibonacci level is just saying here. I’m going to zoom this in so that you guys can see that a little bit better. No problem. No problem. While you are doing that. I wanted to talk to the audience because I do actually think that the eight thousand U.S. dollar is extremely crucial. We had so much confluence coming coming together there, the 100 day the 200 day moving average, the golden pocket of the people, not sure we treisman the EUM a weekly ribbon and much, much more obviously. So as soon as we broke it, we saw a volatile move to the upside. So right now, I would actually say, I don’t know if you agree with that, that it would be key to hold the specific 8000 U.S. dollar level. What do you think about that? DaVinci Eight thousand dollar level is right around this this line here. So, yeah, definitely we have to hold eight thousand dollar level before we can say, OK. Yeah, this kind probably break out and go to break to the ten thousand dollar range. So that’s always a lesson. Also a possibility here. What I would I’m a little concerned because the way this played out, I think the bitcoin price has to come back and test this area. I mean, it doesn’t have to. And this is Bitcoin. You know, I mean, you can do whatever you want, but in normal technical analysis, I really think there’s this person has to be tested one more time at this level to see if he really wants to buy at the six, six, six level. And then that’s it. It’s never going to come back to to test this guy again. And and then we’re off to the races. So, yeah, I really think that’s the case. Now, let’s see if we want to do it. Any kind of trade. Unfortunately, I’m I’m I’m a little gun shy to take any kind of trade here because there’s just so much chop. There’s a Dabhol coming in here and it’s actually cleared. It’s a clear Dabhol, actually. Claire Darvell that indicates that we’re going higher. This candlestick is. I agree. And if you if we want to take this cadabra, which is fine, just understand your risk tolerance. What you would do is move it to the you would take a stop loss right about here at this wink right there and then do a two to one to see through two to one or three to one, not two to one, two to one restore ratio, which would take us probably to the sixty one point eight. I’m I’m eyeballing it. And that’s not a bad trade. Right? It’s not like overaggressive. It’s not. It’s not to like. OK, well. Yeah. Right. That’s going to happen kind of deal. Right. It’s below the trend line there. And the other side of that trend line that that this orange trend line and let’s see here. Yeah. So not quite sixty one point eight is the 50 percent level. So that’s a decent trade. I mean, you can’t go wrong with that at trade. I mean, it could go the other way. But I mean, you can’t say, oh, that’s that’s too much. That’s too that’s too idealistic trade. Right. Is a decent trade it to make some profit. And and don’t lose too much money on this trade. You don’t have to lose a lot of money on any trade. You just that this trade will only take probably another one. One, two, three, four, five candles at most before we see a resolution. So yeah, you won’t be waiting too long. You don’t see a resolution of this trade. So no. So why don’t we post that in the telegram group of M-m Krypto? That’s a nice area, by the way. Everyone watching right now, if you want to find this trading set up in all of this, if you are confused because of all the numbers, we will break it down very easily for everyone. And telegram, we are at twelve thousand people community in the English group at two thousand five hundred people, community in the German group. And you know what? Here is the deal, guys. This group is completely for free. If you go down to the PIN comment, you will find this group here and you just click the link and you get to the group. You press access and it’s for free and will be always for free. Of course, you are not getting the crazy, like in-depth trades from Da Vinci, from his partner was one a group. But you get every now and then he our video trading set ups completely for free in that group, directly below our free bonus links, four by bit and fee mix em for experienced trade. So go down to the PIN comment and you will find this link we will share with you here after the publishing. So thank you so much for that, DaVinci. And now before we go to. This amusia from Germany, from the Deutsche Bank, which is probably one of the most intoxicated banks here, because, yeah, they have like no equity because they have so much leverage and they are about to go down very, very soon. But put that aside right now, they are really trying to to get back with some crazy, crazy things call called negative interest rates. And this is relevant for everyone out there. Namenda, if you are living in Nigeria, in the United States or in Japan or wherever. What’s going to happen here is going to spread through Europe and it’s going to be adopted also by many other big banks in the world. And the impact of that is very, very severe. Stick around for that. But before we go into that, I mean, I want to talk about the topic, which certainly goes to my heart, because we have been seeing, unless you’re us Stani being shadow bank most properly, because I mean I mean, he’s getting much less views than we are getting your name in crypto. And he was used to get much more views and his content is not worse or so. So it’s very weird, weird to see like that. He’s getting like fifteen thousand views, 16000 views only from from one day to another this shift. So that might be a shadow bed and. Right. Not I sure. You think that this exact same thing might be happening to you. So may you pull up your tweet and we can show the people what this is all about and what we can do to prevent this from happening. Yeah. Well, I tweeted out today and I did a video actually showing you that he had proven that unless Allessio Senate is shadow that I did not receive that notification of that video. You will not. You see, I’m subscribed and hit the Belnap a vacation. I mean, we’re going to show you in this video that I did not get in my feet. Now, if that’s happening to you. Right. And you can record this and place it other on Twitter or on your YouTube channel, just send Semien link. And you know what? I’ll give you some bitcoins for that, because I want to have this proof because I really want to take Google to a class, I take it can open up a class action suit on Google, because you know what? They’re destroying people’s livelihoods. Right. If it’s OK, if they want to do this, but they have to tell us and say why? So that we can either, you know, make some changes in our in our videos or four or five point up how I have done this in error. So, yeah, I if they don’t communicate with us, if they just banish that Obama’s how are we supposed to make any kind of adjustments. And so it has to stop and no way it can stop this if you guys provide support by hitting the like retweeting this video. Right. Letting Asani know what’s going on and letting YouTube team YouTube. Right. And also tag team YouTube on this as well. This has got to stop. Absolutely. You’ve got to stop and think the only way you’re going to probably stop this is if your wallet gets dinged. And I think there was we’ll get Denga if I can get a lot of people to join a class action suit. Exactly. Yes, actually. I mean, remember, DaVinci, when the bull market starts and we will have a lot of people coming from the outside, we want these people who are searching for four head, just like we’re searching for gold and eventually also Bitcoin. We want these people to discover us on YouTube so we can educate them on the flaws of the financial system and so we can educate them on. Yeah, they are their scapegoat, how they can they can secure their wealth. And for this this shadow bank shouldn’t be happening. So we really need your help, guys. You can check out this tweet. And the most important thing, guys, please, please go down to the PIN comment and you will find besides the Teeley Gramling and the the the free, free bonus stuff, you you, of course, also find that vintage Jeff fifteens channel. And I do want you if you haven’t done that already, to click on this specific channel here. Devin G.J. 15th YouTube channel. And then also you will be here and redirected to his channel and you click this subscribe button, this red subscribe button. If you click this one and then click on the bell notification and then on all you can make sure that you will be hopefully notified whenever he posts a video. And these videos are most of the time. Very time sensitive. So click the subscription button, click the bell notification. This is very, very important and I’m not having she as the ending point for today’s video. I want to bring up the most important news actually today. Maybe you stay in the Faceman. And I showed the people this German news article here from hundreds Blotz. And I can just make a quick translation of the most important things. The German bank is introducing negative interest for four balances above one hundred thousand U.S. dollars, and this negative interest is actually point five percent. I mean, this is crazy, guys. So if you put a hundred thousand dollars in your bank account, you lose a few hundred dollars every year. And this is not only the money, the currency you are using. Your bank account, you’ll also, of course, you lose all your purchasing power on top of that. So this one, you’re in an economy, you usually have the people who have the option between saving your currency, spending your currency or investing your currency. And this one will disincentives to people from saving. And it will incentivize the people for consuming and for investing the fiat currency they have. And of course, if you combine that with the reckless money printing and then the people and then the velocity keeps up and the people starts spending and investing their money, guys, this will have a clear effect in the long run, maybe not in this year, but in the long run on the inflation and then eventually on the hyperinflation. So I really want to ask you, DaVinci, what do you think? What is the impact of this news? Do you think this was spread over to banks and other countries as well, that all of all of us have to pay interest on their on their deposits? What do you think is the impact on the economy and everything in light of inflation and Bitcoin guy? And what do you think about negative interest rates? You think this world has gone upside down? Think about it for a second. When you owe somebody money, that’s a liability. When that person has that debt to you, that’s that’s an asset. So now if you if somebody owes you somebody gives you money to borrow and they start paying, you borrow the money. Does that become an asset? So debt, this debt, this unless it seems like it’s just so completely uncensored. I mean, if we are watching the mainstream news, it seems like, oh, yeah, this is the only option they have right now. But if you really look behind what is debt, that trippier liability, it shouldn’t be a cash flow generator. Right? I mean, it just makes no sense. Oh, guys, please wake up. This is completely insane. I mean, in hundred years, the people will look back and say, well, this is ludicrous. Didn’t everyone notice how crazy this is? I mean, it’s it should be obvious. It’s probably obvious for everyone watching this video, but not for the general public. Right. It’s crazy. Exactly. Exactly. And, you know, this is going to end badly because, you know, this can’t work. Right. People will be looking for. Well, you know what? At first, they’re going to stop. You know, at first it might do not deposit more than one hundred thousand dollars in any bank. So they’re going to have multiple bank accounts in multiple areas. All right. We’re going to have multiple corporations and do all kinds of crazy things because people obviously don’t want to lose money. But eventually they’re going to reduce that and then they’re going to have to look for other ways to, you know, protect their wealth. And what’s there waiting for them. That’s easy to liquidate fast to move money around anywhere around the world. Bitcoin. Exactly. Exactly. So eventually, of course, all of this craze, inflation, money printing, negative interest rates, all of that is, of course, very beneficial for gold and especially also for Bitcoin in the long run. But it’s not beneficial for the general public if they’re not educated on these things. So please, guys, support that issue by going to his channel, subscribing to his channel, because he will educate the vast majority when the bull market comes, just as we are doing on also on our way. I mean, Crypto China, guys, we need to hope. We are one family and we have to go through this together. You are already in the boat, but we have to help the other people as well. So thank you, DaVinci, for bringing this very, very important content to us today. Guys, we really hope that we can reach this ten thousand five hundred U.S. dollar target here very soon. But of course, remember, we have to hope that a thousand and we shouldn’t go at all of you below these crucial levels we mentioned before and the technical analysis. So thank you so much for that, DaVinci. And before I come to a very important question here, I want to remind everyone also, if you want to support us, you will find one thousand six hundred twelve dollars free margin up to this specific amount here. You know, up in common, you can just click the Bible link, the theme exiting. You will get redirected to to the registration pages you put in your e-mail address and your password. It takes like 20 seconds. You do get your own account. Then after zero point two big deposit, you can get up to these bonuses here for free. But also if you’re on its own, only if you’re an experienced trader, because this volatility, of course, it gives you a very high opportunity for seek gains, but also for seek losses, guys. So make sure you trade responsibly. Thank you so much for that, DaVinci. And my question is, of course, are there any updates on Pandoras wallet? The last call you for for the for the one month promotion is over, but maybe you have some updates to share. Not really closed off any purchases as of May 1st UTC time. So that’s. Now you can’t purchase Amara’s watch for next two days because they don’t want. Anybody to think, oh, I’m gonna get that unlimited access? No, this is over that. And that deal is done. We will reopen open sales of the Pandoras want on the 3rd of May UTC time. So if you’re interested to purchase the product, you can do so at that time. So but of course, you’ll want to be a part of the strategic partners while it telegrammed group. You just need to keep your subscription renewed and up to date. Thank you very much for that, DaVinci. Thanks for sharing that. Thanks for everyone smashing up the like button once again to above 3000 likes. And that being said, I mean, you do you have anything to share before wrap up today’s episode? Yes. Always play from a position of strength and don’t get wrecked. Do not get right, guys. Thank you so much for watching. And we will see each other very soon at the next one up. I’m Krypto latest tomorrow on Saturday, maybe even earlier. Who knows? And that being said, thanks for watching. Thanks for subscribing. Thanks for smashing the subscription box right here. This round box, click it and subscribe and also watch the Bible tutorial if you haven’t already. That being said, we would see each other already to market the next one. I mean, crypto. And it’s always guys, as always. Bye bye.

How to Pay Off your Mortgage in 5 Years
This is Sam Kwak, one of the vital Kwak brothers, actual property investor, and the creator of the guide, fire your boss and in this video I want to exhibit you guys how you can repay your personal loan inside five to seven years. Now, before i’m going on with the breakdown and the reason of the strategy, I want to make certain you guys get some disclaimer so that you guys are included and then i’m blanketed as good so actual quick i am not an attorney i am not a CPA nor am i a monetary planner so some thing that I say or mentions of legal tax or monetary planning advice please don’t take it as an recommendation however alternatively as a proposal founded on my possess expertise and my possess working out of the method now this is gonna be additionally a short 15 lower than 15 minute video so be certain do not do that by myself okay in the event you guys have any questions in the event you guys any want any aid in case you guys want some individual help i’m gonna go away a hyperlink down under at the finish of this video i’m gonna provide you with a link to head to to look extra explanation and i’m also gonna offer you guys somewhat more breakdown in that within the link that i will send you to on the end this video so be certain you guys realize that I get it there’s different videos with a purpose to show you this technique but remember it’s particularly relevant that you just get some aid a 3rd occasion or a 3rd pair of eyes form of communicate to help you guys use the technique so the motive of this video is simply provide you with an overview an idea a possibility on how one can implement a strategy in your possess problem so that you do not need to pay you understand a gigantic sum of interest and spend always the world seeking to repay your loan so let me go forward and flip the digicam round and i’m gonna exhibit you guys making use of a marker and piece of paper offer you some illustrations and the way these how the method will virtually work all proper guys i’m gonna flip the digicam around so i’m gonna exhibit you guys to collapse and and these clarification as far as how this process works now earlier than I get to the precise approach I want to show you guys how and why mortgages work proper and why I think they’re inefficient so i am gonna ruin down the mortgages in a chart for you in the case of interest versus precept now for these don’t know what most important is foremost is the precise loan steadiness so if you have a hundred thousand greenback mortgage you’re sure your your precept balances $a hundred,000 get it interest is is the fee that you simply pay to use the bank’s cash k that’s truly bank’s profit so i go to draw the chart for you here the x-coordinate it’s time so we’re gonna label with zero months this is gonna be 30 years and right between is 15 years ok that is gonna be your month-to-month payment quantity monthly payment so shall we embrace we’re gonna supply it a provide a excellent example right here 100 thousand dollar mortgage k five percentage curiosity at 30 years a ssin it’s gonna be just round about 4 or 4 hundred bucks correct and guys do not quote me here I would not have the amortization calculator in entrance of me but centered on my expertise it’s around four hundred bucks for essential and an interest of all so with that 4 hundred greenbacks in mind this curve here is gonna be your curiosity fee and this curve here goes to be your essential steadiness so in the event you guys detect that first you recognize the first 1/2 fifteen years bulk of your hundred cost is simply curiosity payments correct in the early months little or no is obtain taken out of your precise hundred thousand greenback main steadiness so in that 4 hundred greenbacks most persons suppose that if we make that 4 hundred fee our mortgage is going backpedal to ninety nine thousand and 600 bucks right guys that is not the case actually might be like fifty hundred bucks if no longer even less are gonna be the genuine predominant cost that’s gonna go and slash the the stability from 100 thousand to you know the most important cost something we’re subtracting right here so do you guys see how the primary fifteen years you guys are definitely now not making much development so far as paying off your mortgage actually the primary ten to fifteen years that is where the banks make money thanks profit does that make feel guys so what’s really intriguing and for me it can be type of unique most bankers will come to you and say hey you are aware of it’s been about 10 years how would you wish to refinance your personal loan for a curb payment how would you prefer to pay $350 instead of $400 right most folks would say wow you know i am saving $50 that is certainly an effective factor but what sucks is that and what they don’t inform you is that we’re clearly resetting our clock again to zero months and we’re paying all of this interests in every single place once more style of sucks isn’t it correct we’re absolutely paying more interest via refinancing by way of resetting a clock again to zero right on the grounds that if we did a refinance and continues and paid to fifteen sixteen 17 18 and so on we’re actually gonna be making more that important payment and we’re truely gonna be doing a lot better in our progress as far as paying off our our principal steadiness now what’s rather fundamental is that that is anything that you should understand for those who guys are taking notes or for those who guys have pen and paper in entrance of you the minimize the main balance correct as the important stability will get decreased so will probably be interest proper i am a gigantic famous person Wars fan so i am gonna make this reference in the event you for those who damage the preserve generator the dying megastar is open to being a you recognize vulnerable i do know guys i am a geek i am in there I wanna that’s the nice reference an analogy can offer you so kill the essential and you’ll be able to additionally kill the pursuits too so it’s quite important that we take the major steadiness down so that we’re no longer paying pursuits does that make feel so that is one of the vital pillars or I should say the core sort of supporting you know methodology to creating this approach work ok now the other ins illustration on a hundred thousand are by myself at five percentage curiosity k i know I can’t spell right here 30-year loan EMAS ation most men and women consider five percentage interest isn’t bad k but little do individuals know that truly will amortize and can become compounded to absolutely be coming round eighty,000 to $100,000 on interest by myself so on that hundred thousand greenback loan that is the essential balance on a 30-12 months Bogey’s 30-year amortization 5 percentage interest we’re virtually paying hundred thousand dollar interest on my own plus our fashioned mortgage amount is gonna be around 100 eighty thousand to 2 hundred thousand dollars we paid to the bank now guys if we’re gonna pay her thousand dollar interest we just bought a financial institution one other house right we acquired a house they usually acquired a apartment so you recognize you guys can see how mortgages variety of suck doesn’t it right we’re paying a variety of curiosity take goodbye 30 years that is like that’s that appears like endlessly it really does proper i’m virtually scared that some of these banks are coming out with fifty recognition for you realize the pseudo pseudo loans that’s loopy right that’s insane that is ludicrous this isn’t the case and that there needs to be a better approach in paying off our property there has to be a better method to purchase residences without paying a hundred percent interest to the financial institution there is there is a methodology there’s a strategy that i am gonna exhibit you and for this reason you’re staring at the video proper to repay your mortgage faster and also you guys quite often already understand this correct that is all gonna be in what’s called actuality in Lending declaration banks provides you with this and though they is not going to tell you the reality and how mortgages work now there is an extra debt instrument that that i like to make use of to repay your personal loan means quicker and with this strategy we’re gonna accomplish are these these are the goals or I must say the overall concept total finished touches so far as how the approach work so this process is referred to as velocity banking what we’re doing is we’re we’re accelerating how our debt is being paid and it is identified that about sixty six percent interest savings with this process we now have got about sixty six percentage of time saving as good and it is anything some circumstances 5 to 7 years of whole fee quantity and we’re gonna preserve the identical amount of costs o.K. We don’t need to incur extra extra loss we’re no longer paying a penny extra on the mortgage believe me and identical quantity of earnings so i’m now not gonna let you know to move get a greater job now not gonna go let you know – skimp and store right retailer and retailer every single penny proper i am now not gonna inform you to go clip coupons guys what i am telling you here what this strategy will help you is still maintain the cost the equal nonetheless hold the income the equal identical manner however we’re saving 66% an curiosity and sixty six% on time of of the cost period cool and a few of you guys might be saying this sounds approach too good to be authentic this needs to be some type of rip-off right or whatever guys may say this is too risky that is two distinctive guys i am gonna exhibit you the overall common inspiration as far as how this work and the math at the back of it now this is the only gonna be a short video you are no longer gonna get the entire working out I get it most of you guys need that is what i am gonna i’m gonna share a link on the finish of this video on on a are living instance i am gonna clearly exhibit you a spreadsheet an Excel spreadsheet and provide you with guys the specific breakdown so far as how the approach will work in numbers but for now i am supplying you with guys the suggestion so i’m gonna introduce you guys a brand new debt instrument a new means I knew I will have to say a revolution correct however this has this truely has been around for a little bit bit and most individuals do not realize it’s referred to as home fairness line of credit score often referred to as a HELOC now the banks have been selling this product for roughly 15 17 years it is been around for just a little bit but the reason why bankers don’t inform you about this instrument is in view that take into account huh you consider our illustration with this you know they need you to make you already know all this loopy they need you to actually pay correct the place to go i am seeking to give you guys the illustration again they want you to pay 100 percentage proper they need you to pay this amount interest they don’t want you to save lots of curiosity it’s no longer that is not their interests proper that that’s humorous that is no longer their curiosity correct there that’s that is now not what they’re after they want you guys to make ton of curiosity fee so they are able to earn money despite the fact that the curiosity cost is gonna be variable and and it can be gonna be larger than a mortgage why those two things are not gonna subject as much and it’s without a doubt gonna prevent more cash this manner k I wish to show you I understand it’s a bit backwards and it would be confusing i’m gonna exhibit you guys number one the distinction between a mortgage versus a HELOC right here we go so lowest mortgage versus a HELOC first of all key locks are open are open-ended and your personal loan your loan broker diminish banker will know this open-ended and that is gonna be closed ended what that means is shall we embrace for instance you make a payment of thousand greenbacks to the banks i’m gonna draw the excellent financial institution as viable there you go correct that money can’t be on a mortgage trouble you cannot use that once more correct you cannot use it ok but on a HELOC you make the thousand buck you made a thousand bucks on the HELOC precept cost you’re gonna be equipped to make use of that thousand bucks again does that make sense guys so it appear it really works just like a credit card bank card you might have a limit and a dwelling the entire 9 yards right here within the loan you are now not you are kind of stuck correct you pay the thousand dollars that is it it goes to the major and interest the top on the HELOC you utilize thousand dollars you pay it off again you employ 5 hundred bucks pay it off right identical to a bank card now the subsequent thing the honour is that he locks the the the curiosity is calculated and utilized on typical daily stability and what that implies is that daily so Monday let’s consider you might have a hundred greenback steadiness on Tuesday you might have $ninety stability and on Thursday let’s say you have $50 steadiness proper so every day you convey down the everyday balance so good your curiosity go down any person who’s rather fast exhibit you guys how the traditional day-to-day stability works let’s consider you have got 100 greenbacks identical to the Monday’s example all proper it is gonna be extended through the interest fee so factor zero seven get it and it’s gonna be divided via 360 days it can be the commercial lending year and whatever that’s is gonna be the typical every day curiosity proper and that’s gonna get utilized daily as long as you’ve gotten hundred buck steadiness so let’s say from Wednesday by way of Friday you will have hundred dollar stability from Wednesday by means of Wednesday via Friday something this amount is getting applied each day but let’s say from Wednesday to Wednesday you had a hundred bucks stability on Thursday you could have 90 dollar steadiness good wager what guys the following day this is not gonna be hundred bucks that is gonna be ninety greenbacks so on Monday or i’m sorry Wednesday you’ll have had let’s say i am trying to calculate here shall we say five buck curiosity good day after today in view that the balance is shrink Thursday now not Tuesday we’re going backwards right here Thursday you may have extra like a 3rd for dollar curiosity so that you see how the balance on a HELOC every day it matters ok the longer you might have diminish balance the longer you can have smaller quantity of interest going out k so this is the important thing this is one other key a 2d pillar so that you may name it that to understanding why he laughs are higher ok so let’s go ahead and show you guys the exact method that is my last sheet of paper so I higher do a good job all correct so what we’re doing is there may be quite two approaches to epidermis a cat right here okay there may be two methods to try this technique i am gonna show you guys a technique ok like I recounted prior i am gonna exhibit you guys the full illustration of this process and in a hyperlink that i’m going to put down under on the finish of this video so let’s say again to the illustration $one hundred,000 loan $one hundred,000 steadiness k this is a mortgage ok what we’re doing is we’re gonna go ahead and open up a dwelling fairness line of credit so absolutely this is gonna require a little bit of equity to have so let’s consider now we have we had been able to raise or I should say and open a twenty five thousand buck limit HELOC so what we’re doing here is a few folks would say we just bought one other twenty five thousand buck loan that is not the case here guys so if you have that is like getting a twenty 5 thousand buck bank card we didn’t get to any extent further by myself so what we’re doing is we’re taking that twenty 5 thousand greenback credit score credit score line that now we have with the HELOC and we’re making a essential fee major payment of $25,000 so now our ending steadiness is gonna be seventy five thousand greenback stability right here and that is gonna be a twenty-5 thousand dollar steadiness so seventy 5 thousand plus twenty five thousand we still have hundred thousand greenback dollar balance in phrases of debt okay we do not we failed to incur any further debt all proper various various humans seem to confuse that HELOC they think it can be an extra loan or equity mortgage product it can be not k so we we take in the main steadiness and and and put it here does that make experience and what we’re gonna do right here from now is we’re still going to proceed to make our cellular cost each single month okay we cannot overlook that every one right until we would like a foreclosures which we do not need what we’re doing right here is that we’re gonna take our whole revenue okay so you guys think i am gonna be loopy right here let’s examine our we now have our sales our monthly sales is five thousand buck earnings and make a most important cost towards the HELOC so our balance now is twenty thousand buck balance and we nonetheless have a $seventy five,000 balance here does that make sense however this is a trick guys out of this twenty twenty thousand greenback steadiness we nonetheless have fees each month don’t wait correct we’ve got children we gotta pay for diapers proper we have got to pay for groceries so what we’re doing is we’re paying you understand groceries here correct groceries we’re paying for kids price all right we’re paying we’re still paying our mortgages after we our mortgage monthly monthly mortgage right we’re deciding to buy other charges but we all know that this all of this is not gonna occur like right away next day so consider our normal every day curiosity stability inspiration right we’re not gonna go and deposit 5 thousand dollars on Monday and subsequent day on Tuesday we’re now not gonna incur forty five forty five hundred dollars of of bills it is gonna occur you realize it’s gonna spread out correct it’s gonna be hundred greenbacks right here 105 hundred greenbacks there $seven hundred subsequent week so between i am gonna do my nice to provide an explanation for this part right here so week one we’ve got shall we say we spent 5 hundred dollars on groceries that means we’ve a new steadiness of twenty thousand five hundred greenbacks on HELOC right but our complete stability is twenty thousand five hundred plus seventy 5 thousand steadiness that involves ninety 5 5 hundred whole debt does that make sense now wager what guys utilising it knowing what we find out about common day-to-day balance we’re getting up our interest is getting applied on twenty thousand 5 hundred dollars now not twenty five thousand bucks of an imbalance so although we do have i might say a seven percentage curiosity okay which is ordinarily he laps are greater than loan curiosity that 7% curiosity is now getting utilized to twenty thousand 5 hundred greenbacks as an alternative of twenty five thousand greenback balance so if this used to be a loan balance of ninety 5 thousand 5 hundred we simply saved a entire crap ton of interest round correct proper there Plus that $20,000 principle cost we did or $25,000 precept cost we did on the personal loan we no longer best we saved interest there but we additionally saved like practically man needed to say about five to seven years on that single $25,000 payment mainly be more I probably even be constructive to say 10 years we just saved 10 years of that loan the mortgage does that make sense guys say in week 2 we spent extra $2,000 on something bills you could have groceries youngsters you already know all of them add up right so at the finish the whole balance now together with the loan stability and the HELOC stability is supply me ninety seven thousand and 5 hundred dollars so well-nigh our he existence is now becoming a checking account right nothing has modified right we’re nonetheless making the equal price the same income now the one factor that I forgot to say is that you simply do ought to have leftover money on the end to have the HELOC balance come down as well they recognize the predominant balance of the HELOC correct in different cases that you just will have to now not be spending extra money than what you are making so if you’re if the costs it let’s consider is $4,500 that $500 is what’s bringing down the stability so over time that HELOC steadiness is gonna come down zero all proper it is gonna come again to zero the balance and however once more we nonetheless have that limit we’re gonna take yet another $25,000 and bring that $75,000 let’s say you realize over time we’re gonna have balance come down in $60,000 anyhow on the grounds that we have been making that personal loan fee correct over time so with the aid of now you know what by the time this becomes zero proper this is able to have come down as good to $60,000 so now when you take a different $25,000 principle payment towards the mortgage we’re gonna be go into reverse to $35,000 you guys see that is gonna typically chop off another ten years does that make feel guys right that you could you guys see how rapidly we can repay your mortgage utilizing things to the common day stability right and we’re reducing this down manner manner manner quicker so we’re doing is this is interphase shit and changing it to what’s effective that you may retailer so much money more money on this part then letting it sit on a time table and having it pay every single month now some men and women will argue with me and pronouncing Sam why don’t we just take the additional cash that you simply you’ve you realize on this case five hundred greenbacks and just make one more payment on that loan well guys that defeats the intent of getting diminish diminish usual daily stability on this case once we introduced the five when we offered the proposal of $5,000 earnings principle payments in opposition to the HELOC we introduced the normal daily steadiness from stability from twenty five thousand to twenty thousand right and like I acknowledged you’re not gonna be spending up that 45 hundred bucks valued at expenditures tomorrow correct that you could be spending hundred bucks right here 100 five hundred dollars there two thousand greenbacks you already know subsequent week so between those spending you are saving that interest just like our prior micro instance Wednesday into Thursday between these two you already know between your spendings that is the place you’re gonna retailer the curiosity proper we’re slicing the loan steadiness from back end as a substitute of entrance end if that is smart so guys should you guys need an exact illustration I do have a further hyperlink i am gonna put it down under right beneath beneath the video if you want a real-existence example if you want actual figures i’ve definitely made an extended video about half-hour with specific spreadsheets I made an genuine instance with real interest expense current market fee i’m going to exhibit you ways the approach without a doubt works on an excel
