#me writing a watered down version of billy is just like the fanartists who draw amanda young in footie pajamas

ykw, since this is basically a blog for my ao3/writing n i write a lotta billy, i might as well go ahead and clarify a few things just in case anyone was wondering. i write him bc: 

1) his stepmom is hot af and i’m drawn to troubled familial relations. 

2) his mom-mom is also hot af, see above. 

3) my introduction to billy was the clip of him screaming defiantly at this huge freaky lookin monster whilst being skewered and i mean, c’mon, that was badass af!!! also the aesthetics? his black blood?? the meat spider’s fucking spiky ass tongue?? my horror brain lit up like a neon sign, ngl, i dug that shit. 

4) on that note, i was introduced to him backwards. i did not realize just how *much* of a piece of shit he was until better belated further research. my bad. 

i 100% feel no scrap of anything positive toward this character as canonically depicted. in canon seems like he’s just bargain brand henry bowers. now, for me personally there’s nothing esp engrossing abt henry bowers to begin with, let alone his knockoffs. this is such a stock character there was another one as recently as creeepshow s1-- actually, his name was billy too!! lmao, shit, was that intentional? do the bowers knockoffs have their own knockoffs now?? well, anyway. i’ll continue to write a bowdlerized version of billy as akin to disney’s v much bowdlerized version of the little mermaid, or any given children’s picture book of hansel and gretal, or like, like-- those wildly different action movie interpretations of hansel and gretal. but. just for the record, while i don’t and won’t watch st, i’ve learned enough to know this guy sucks majorly n i don’t care for him at all.
