Watergate Pairing - Steve Harrington x HendersonSister!Reader Summary - Dustin has a theory that there's a new gate, and Nancy has a suspicion of where it might be. The best swimmer needs to go to the bottom of Lover's Lake and check it out. Unfortunately, much to Steve's displeasure, that happens to be you. Word Count - 3.2k Warnings - Language and violence Steve Harrington x HendersonSister!Reader Masterlist
You could feel Dustin glaring at you from the shore as Steve settled in beside you at the last moment. “You said four!” He called after you.
Steve let out a quiet, “Sorry,” while you just waved at him with a grin.
“If he thought I was letting him that close to a possible gate, he’s out of his damn mind.” You said, glancing at the compass that he had tossed you.
“Bedtime at nine kiddos!” Robin yelled to them. “Miss you already!”
Dustin flipped you all off.
While you had been one of the first ones on the boat, you couldn’t deny the way your heart was beating hammering in your chest. What the hell were you guys going to do if you actually found a gate? Would you have to go into it to destroy Vecna? You glanced over at Eddie who was rowing at the front with Robin, and then back at the shore where Dustin, Lucas and Max were now barely visible. You knew you would do it. Whatever it took to save both of them, you would do it, but it didn’t make you any less scared.
“Hey, the compass.” Steve’s voice interrupted your thoughts as he shone his flashlight down at the instrument in your hands.
Eddie and Robin stopped rowing, and you all bent your heads towards it, watching as it spun around wildly. All of the sudden you heard Dustin’s voice coming through the walkie. “Guys, what’s going on? Come on, talk to me.”
Robin grabbed the walkie and replied, “Uh, Dustin, your compass has gone from wonky to wonky with a capital waahhh.”
Steve reached out and started taking his shoes and socks off. “Steve . . . what do you think you’re doing?” You asked him.
He didn’t meet your gaze. “Somebody’s gotta go down and check this thing out. Unless one of you can top -” He looked up at you then, realizing his mistake.
“.3 seconds, Harrington.” You reminded him.
“Woah, wait, you can’t go down there.” Eddie said, being the first to catch on.
Steve looked like he wanted to agree with him. “Remember what happens when we separate?” He replied, and you did. The memories at Starcourt flashed in your mind as well as the ones from last night, watching that body snap while you had been in the lake completely helpless  with Eddie, thinking how that’s what would happen to Max . . .
“We’re not separating.” You said as you started to pull off your own socks and shoes. “I will be a few feet below you. That’s it.” You stood up and took off your sweatshirt, handing it to Steve. “I’ll be right back.”
“Are you sure that you want to do this?” Nancy asked you.
You nodded, “Eddie hand me that flashlight. I won’t be able to see shit down there.”
“Are you fucking shitting me right now? You’re going to let her go down there?” Eddie asked Steve.
“Oh, let’s not pretend she needs Steve’s or any other man’s permission.” Robin told him, rolling her eyes.
You knew that Steve would never stop you. He’d do his damn best to convince you, then protect you if necessary, but there must have been something in your eyes that told him it’d be futile. “I don’t like this.” He said, while Eddie cursed in the background, taking the flashlight  and wrapping it in a plastic bag.
“Well that makes two of us.” You said, glancing at the water again. You took a step closer, getting ready to dive, but stopped when you felt Steve grab your hand.
“Be careful.” He said, his eyes pleading, worried, and you wished you could reassure him.
But you wouldn’t lie. You nodded, not trusting yourself to speak, and turned back to the water. Thinking about Max, thinking about Eddie, and saving both of them, you shoved your anxiety deep in your gut, and dove.
The calmness and easing of your muscles that you normally felt when swimming never came. Lover’s Lake wasn’t super deep, but the blackness that surrounded you still made you feel uneasy. You used the flashlight to glance across the bottom, looking for anything out of the ordinary when something white caught your eye. You swam over, and found the skeletons of several fish which only served to confuse you. If the fish had died . . . Wouldn’t their bodies still remain? Or had they been down there that long?
That was when the red light caught your eye. You tried to force yourself to remain calm, and swam over, stopping above it. You had seen a gate once, back deep in those Russian tunnels last summer, but it was a sight you'd never forget. This was much smaller, maybe three feet wide, but unmistakable. Nancy and your brother had been right. As you leaned down to get a closer look, a vine smacked against the other side of the gate.
Your heart took off and so did your body, swimming away as fast as you could until you breached the surface.
“Oh Christ!” You heard Eddie say as they all jumped at your sudden appearance.
“It’s there.” You said, grabbing a hold of the edge of the boat. “It’s a gate.” You looked at Steve and Robin. “It looks like the one we saw in the tunnels, just smaller.”
“Great, now you can get out.” Steve said, grabbing a hold of your arm to help pull you back in the boat, anxiety lacing his tone while Robin told Dustin the news over the walkie.
That was when you felt the first tug. It dragged you under for the briefest moment before you kicked it off, and you didn’t even have another second to react. All you did was share a glance with Steve, who looked increasingly panicked, and then you were dragged under again. You felt Steve above the water still holding onto you, trying his best to pull you out, but your hand was wet, and slid right out of his grasp.
It was like two years ago. You felt the vine wrapping around your ankle, dragging you down faster than you could ever hope to swim, and a scream left your throat as you tried to find anything to grab a hold of, but no matter how hard you tried the gate keep getting closer and closer until it spat you out on the other side, still dragging you along as you screamed and your fingers tried to find purchase on something, anything to stop you.
A big huff of air left you as your back slammed into something and the vine had to let go. You kept your eyes closed, trying to catch your breath for a moment, when your brain caught up with the sounds surrounding you.
You had never been to the Upside Down. The closest you had ever gotten was senior year when you, Steve and the rest of the kids had set fire to that hub. Without opening your eyes, you knew this was worse. The sounds, the smells, all of it was so . . . wrong, and when you did open your eyes . . . The world was too. It was dark . . . desolate . . . You could almost feel the hopelessness that hung in the air. You stood up on shaky legs, thunder crackling and the sky flickering with clouds of red lightning. A screech of a creature behind you had you turning around, terrified of what you might find there, and you saw what looked to be some sort of bird or bat flying towards you.
Then you heard the sound again, and again. Everywhere you turned those creatures were headed in your direction and all you could think was run.
You didn’t get very far before a tail wrapped around your neck. You screamed again, clawing at it violently as the force of it tugged you to the ground. No matter how hard you tried, the creature's grip only became tighter and you began to choke, your eyes widening as you caught sight of more of the creatures surrounding your body. You yanked harder at the tail around your neck when pain exploded through your stomach.
Looking down in horror you saw the bat-like creature stabbing into your skin and attempted to slap it away to have another one do the same to your opposite side. You kicked and thrashed every way possible trying to dislodge the creatures, but it was no use. As soon as you knocked one off, another would attack from the opposite side. You screamed, tears of pain streaming down your face as you tried to fight them off.
You couldn't die like this. You had to help save Max and Eddie . . . You had to lounge around your room with Robin and laugh at everything even when it wasn’t that funny . . . You had to play Dungeons and Dragons with Dustin again . . . You had to tell Steve you loved him every day for the rest of your life . . .
Another choked scream of pain and terror left your throat as you looked down at the creatures eating your flesh, when suddenly, one was knocked away.
You looked up to see all of them. Steve, Eddie, Robin and Nancy. They had all dived in after you.
And the fighting began.
Steve was vicious. You’d never seen him that violent before as he yelled at Robin to stand on the tail of the one that was holding you while he stabbed it over and over again with an oar. Nancy and Eddie tried to keep the bats from the three of you, but when one of them got Nancy in the back, Robin had to help.
Tossing the oar he had been using to Nancy, Steve landed beside you, tugging at the tail again, and finally the two of you were able to make it release you. Taking deep gasps of breath you watched as he held the tail tight in his hands and used all his strength to throw the bat against the ground over and over, and the bastard still wasn’t dying. With shaky hands, you grabbed the broken top half of Eddie’s oar, and the next time Steve threw the bat down you stabbed it with all the strength you had, holding it in place while Steve literally ripped it in half.
There was a beat of dead silence for a moment, and then you were wrapped up in his arms. You clung onto him with everything you had, sobs racking your tired throat as Steve held you, his hand cradling the back of your head while your face hid in his shoulder. God you had almost lost him. You’d almost lost everyone. “I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.” You cried, needing to get the words out. You weren’t sure if you’d told him today, or if he could even understand you with the way you were hysterically crying, but you vowed never to let there be a day when he didn’t hear those words again.
His arms gripped you so close you could barely breathe, rocking you back and forth as he held you. “I know, I know. I love you too. So damn much.”
You pulled back for the briefest moment so you could kiss him, desperate to feel his lips on yours and reassure yourself that you were still alive. He was here, you were here, and you were both breathing. Judging by the way he kissed you back, his need was as extreme as yours, his fingers digging into you so hard it was painful, but you didn’t dare want him to stop.
The sound of the creatures made you flinch, pulling away from his lips and clinging to Steve’s chest as he helped you to your feet. There were more. At least six or seven, and they landed around the gate, blocking all of you from going back out.
“All right. There’s not that many. We can take them.” Steve said, his arm wrapped protectively around you.
Then you all caught sight of the swarm. “You were saying?” Robin said.
Your shaking hand gripped the arm Steve had around you. “We’ve gotta get out of here.” You said, your eyes locked on the bats, panic rising in your throat once again.
“The woods!” Nancy said, and you all turned around to see what she was referring to. “Come on!” She took off running.
Steve glanced at you, a question in his eyes, and you nodded. You could make it. The two of you took off running after her, Steve holding your hand in his grip as Eddie and Robin trailed behind you.
You didn’t start to feel weird until the five of you were hiding under the Upside Down’s version of skull rock. The adrenaline had started to wear off on your body, and you could feel any ounce of energy that you had fading away as the swarm of bats flew overhead, all heading to the gate. Dizziness started to make the ground in front of you fuzzy, and you squeezed Steve’s hand, trying to focus on something else.
“Okay, that was close.”
“Yeah, too close.”
It was Robin and Eddie talking, you could tell that much, but it sounded like they were underwater. Taking a deep breath, you let Steve pull you out from under the rock, and immediately the world went out of focus. You felt yourself start to stumble, but Steve grabbed you moments before you hit the ground. “Woah, I got you.” He said, and you grabbed a hold of his biceps, using them to steady yourself.
“I’m losing too much blood,” You admitted, after you felt steady enough to look up at him. “I need to stop the bleeding or - or you guys are going to have to carry me around on your backs everywhere.” You said, able to muster the smallest grin as you slid down to the ground.
“We’d do it for you, sweetheart.” Eddie said, giving you a grin as well, but you could see the worry in his eyes as he glanced down at all the blood on your shirt.
Steve sat down on his knees in front of you, his hands gentle as they tugged on the bottom of your tank top. “I need to see -”
“How bad it is?” You interrupted with a hoarse chuckle. “I thought I was the future doctor here, Harrington?”
“You really do have the worst timing for jokes, you know that?” He said, shaking his head at you as he started to ease your shirt away from your skin.
Eddie turned away, attempting to give you some privacy, and your humor faded at the pain as the shirt tugged at your shredded skin. You let out a breath that sounded more like a hiss that made him stop, but you gestured for him to keep going. You needed to know how bad it was too.
And it was bad. “Shit,” Steve said once he had gotten the bloody tank top over your head and onto the ground.
You were going to need stitches. Several stitches actually, and while every building that existed in your Hawkins also existed in the Upside Down, there was no chance you were going to use any sort of medical equipment from here to try and heal you.
Steve’s hands hovered over your wounds, and it was then that you noticed they were shaking. “What-what can I do?” He asked, looking at you.
“I need to stop the bleeding.” You said, glancing around. “Do we have anything we can -”
“Here.” Nancy was already tearing at part of her shirt, and you spared her a smile.
“So the good news is I’m pretty sure wooziness is not a symptom of rabies.” Robin spoke up, and she bent down beside Steve. “But if you start having hallucinations or muscle spasms, or you start feeling aggressive, like you wanna punch me, let me know.”
You had to admit, the thought of rabies hadn’t occurred to you, but that was a worry you didn’t have time for right now. “Robin, if I had rabies, symptoms wouldn’t be setting in this quickly.” You told her.
“What if I kinda want to punch you?” Steve said, clearly irritated  that she had brought up another thing for him to worry about.
“I’ll chalk it up to stress.” She replied, but then turned her focus back to you. “You know - it’s - It’s not so bad when you look closer?” She said, giving you a lopsided smile that wasn’t even remotely convincing.
You shook your head at her. “You’re a terrible liar.”
By this time Nancy had finished tearing off the fabric and handed it to Steve. She gave Robin a look, and the two of them left to give you and Steve some privacy.
“You’ve got to tie it around me tight, okay? It’s the only way to stop the bleeding.” You told him, placing your hands on his shoulders in anticipation of the pain this was going to cause.
He frowned, but nodded, stretching the fabric out in his hands. “You ready?”
“As I’ll ever be.” You replied, sitting up on your knees and biting your lip as he wrapped the fabric around you. It hurt like hell, but you allowed yourself a tiny whimper as he secured the fabric.
Of course he noticed as soon as you did and stopped, leaning back to look at your face. “Is it too tight?”
You shook your head. “The tighter the better.”
At your words, he went back to work, tying off the fabric and leaning back to look at you once more. Once he seemed satisfied, he looked down next to you and your ripped shirt, and didn’t hesitate for a second to pull off his sweater, gently putting it over your head and tugging it down your body before you could even protest. The scent of him blocked out everything else and you let out a sigh as he pulled you close once again, pressing a gentle, lingering kiss to your forehead that sent tension melting from your body. “I thought I was scared shitless this morning when I got to Reefer Rick’s and all the cop cars were there.” Steve said, his voice as gentle as his kiss. “That was nothing compared to just then.” He took a deep breath as you wrapped your arms around him, and his nose bumped against yours. “I thought I lost you.”
“I thought I lost you.” You whispered back. “I thought I lost everyone.” God, you had never been more terrified in your life. “I fucking hate this place Steve.” You told him, tears filling up your eyes as you looked at him, thinking about how close you had come to never being able to look into his eyes again and see that deep love that he had for you there.
Steve brushed away the tears that had started to fall down your face. “We’re going to get out of here baby.” He said with conviction, kissing you on the forehead once more. “If I have to take on every one of those damn bats by myself, I’m getting us home.”
You held him tighter, hoping to God he was right.

“Hey deac” Luca spoke up as Deacon entered the locker rooms. “Morning guys” he replied greeting the rest of the team. “Tan was just telling us about how Bonnie is jealous” Chris spoke up while they all got ready for their shift. “Bonnie is not jealous; I’m telling you guys she isn’t like that” Tan tries to defend. “What happened that everyone things she jealous?” Deacon asked.
“Last night we went on a date and when we were walking to our apartment in the hallway this girl was getting harassed by this idiot and I helped her out. After he left, she told us she just moved in and it happen to come up she also spoke Cantonese. I happen to mention it was so rare to find another person who speaks it by coincidence and after that Bonnie’s mood has been off. She won’t talk, she’s basically doing everything she can to avoid making eye contact with me.”
Deacon hisses feigning pain when he hears the story, “hate to break it to you man but that’s jealousy. I can’t believe you can’t wrap your head around this, she is jealous because that woman who speaks your language probably shares your religion and values growing up in a Chinese American home is now living next door to you. She feels less than now that she has someone to compare herself to.”
Tan took a second to process his words before he finally understands how it all went wrong, he never even thought Bonnie would think like that. “How are you still single? You should have girls falling at your feet” Tan jokes.
“Jokes on you bro, he does” Street says making everyone laugh as they walk out of the locker room to meet Hondo. Before much words can be exchanged, Hicks walks in with a case assigned to the team. “20-David, we’ve been handed over a case, apparently the financial crimes and the narcotics division can’t solve it and they want us to wrap up this up. Also, we have intel the man doing the money laundering are armed and dangerous.”
Hicks goes on to explain the details of the case to the team, saying a man who supposedly goes by the name Authur Lopez has been moving money around through other people’s business. He also may be using them as a stash house. The problem is no one can seem to figure out which business he is using to clean his money. “They know he’s dealing but they can’t prove it, we need to find the proof to bring this guy in”
“We may have a lead though, detective Chase that was previous the lead on this case said he found Auther has an old high school girlfriend who recently moved to town, we aren’t sure if they have had any contact but it’s worth checking out, she might know somewhere he might hide” Hicks finishes up letting the team take the case. Street and Tan both start researching your home and workplace addresses and they found something.
“She owned a bookshop, just opened a couple months ago, around the same time we caught wind of Authur and around the time she moved into town, her business could be the one she’s using, she sells books, it can be a good cover if her business gets traffic, and judging by the location I think she’d be doing well.” Street says as he pulls up the location of your shop on the screen for the team to see.
“I found her home address, it’s an apartment complex about 3 blocked from the shop.” Chris says and pulls the location for them to see. “Okay Street, Tan with me we’ll check out her apartment. Luca, Chris and Deacon you can check out her shop she might be there, she what she knows if she’s willing to talk.” Honda hands out their assignments and everyone jumps in a car their destination.
When Deacon, Chris and Luca arrive at the bookshop they walk in and don’t immediately see anyone around. They walk a little deeper into the shop and you step out from one of the isles the shop isn’t so big that someone can hide, unless they are in the back room. “Hi there, is there something I can help you with?” you say in a sweet voice.
At the sound of your voice Deacon whips his head, he stutters a bit when he sees you for the first time. Your hair fell curly down your back, you wore jeans that fit your hips but flared down over your ankles with cute brown sandals, you wore a gorgeous floral top that complimented your skin tone so perfectly. “Hi, Ms. Y/n? I’m Sergeant Kay, this is officers Alonso and Luca, we are here to ask you a few questions.”
You look up at the handsome sergeant standing in front of you and your brain almost lags. “Sure, happy to help” you smile at him clasping your hands together. You gesture to the chairs and small sofas scattered around the room for them to sit and you do the same. “Ms. Y/n, we believe a man you know has been involved in some illegal activity and we wanted to know if you had any information you could share” the girl who’s name you learned was Chris spoke up.
“Who?’ you asked her, “The name Auther Lopez ring a bell?” Luca asked you. Authur Lopez, you were never able to look at men the same after him, he was your high school sweetheart. You were going to marry him. That was until you found out he was dealing in high school and left him. “A couple months ago he found my shop, said he was keeping tabs on me and asked if I would consider giving him a job. Auther and I dated in high school, I broke up with him when I found out he was dealing, not only that but he was on them. I’m not sure what I never asked. When I hired him, he promised he was clean and so I agreed. Actually, his shift is meant to start in about 10 minutes, he has to come here.”
“What is he involved in?” You asked them directly your question to no one in particular. “We believe he dealing again, or maybe he never stopped who knows. We need to bring him in a find the location of his stash house before he can distribute his product.” Luca spoke to you.
“You’re welcome to wait here until he shows then, I had no idea he was still dealing” Luca made a call to someone while Chris asked to look around the shop and you agreed. Deacon didn’t move though, he sat right there in front of you the whole time. “Are you back together?” his voice was quite as he spoke but you heard him, “No, I’m not interested in starting things back up with him, he has done nothing but disappoint me, I only gave him the job because he said he needed it and he was getting clean.” you matched him tone while you looked at him.
He was so pretty you could barely take your eyes off him, if you weren’t looking at his chest printing out in the tight SWAT t-shirt you were looking at his chocolate brown eyes, if not that, the you have never seen a man look so good with a beard and that usually wasn’t something you’d go for, the hints of grey just did something to your brain.
Deacon wasn’t any different, he was too busy staring at you to realize you were staring back, he admired the way your curls look so full but not frizzy at the same time, the way he so easily got lost in your beautiful eyes, and let’s not talk about your figure, he has never seen anyone look so beautiful before.
“So, Sergeant Kay-”
“Deacon, call me Deacon”
“Deacon, you’re a SWAT sergeant what is that like?” you smile when you ask him. He was confused for a quick second how did you know he was in SWAT? Until he remembered he was working, he was dressed in uniform. “It’s good, I like it, it’s dangerous and it’s a lot of work but it pays off in the end. So, books?” he returned the question.
“Yea, I've always been a reader” you giggle as you continue, “It’s very calming to read, takes my mind off things when I’m stressed, a way to pretend you’re someone else.”
“How could you want to be someone else?” his tone was breathy, it had a hint of a chuckle in it, it made you blush. It was so easy to get caught up in him you forgot all about what he was here for. Luca walked back into the shop; the noise of the chimes pulled you back to reality. He was met with the sight of you and deacon staring at each other with flirtatious smiles and cleared his throat to get your attention.
“The others arrested Authur on his way here, they have him in custody. Hondo said meet back at HQ” Chris moves out with Luca and Deacon was about to follow them, “Wait!” you stopped him resting you hand on his arm to stop him from walking. You ran into one of the isles and grabbed a book off the shelf, “Here, an excuse for you to come back that isn’t work related. Now you can go” you smiled at him sweetly and he chuckled at your sweet gesture. “I’ll take you up on that.”
Deacon walked out the bookshop with a wide grin in his face and he sees Chris and Luca waiting for him with matching grins, seems Luca had filled Chris in and they both clocked the book he didn’t walk in there with. “Ouu someone’s got a crush” Chris said in a sing song tone.
A few days later the case was wrapped up and Deacon was sitting on a comfortable chair in the SWAT main room with his legs propped up as he read the book you gave him. He isn’t you paid attention to the book you handed in when you grabbed it but it was an interesting book.
He has been teased non-stop by the team since they all heard about what happened, no one can see him sitting with that book in his hand without saying something about you. They even went as far as to make a bookmark with your face on it and stick it in his book so every time he opened it, he would see you. It was entertaining the say the least but now that the book was in his hand and finished, he felt nervous to see you again, this time he had no motive to hide behind other than he just wanted to see your pretty face again.
“Hey Deac, we’re gonna hit up Luca’s food truck, do you wanna come with?” Chris asked Deacon as she packed up her things at the end of the shift. “I’d love to but, I have to swing by the bookshop and return this book y/n gave me” He waited patiently for the teasing and right on cue, “You going ask her out?” Chris was grinning like a school girl.
“I want to, I will, I’m gonna...maybe”
“Sergeant Kay is nervous? There is a first for everything. But seriously all jokes aside, I saw the way you looked at each other. She will say yes, no need to doubt yourself” Chris smiled at him and punched his shoulder as they walk out of the locker room.
Deacon rushed to his car saying a quick goodbye to the team and driving to the bookshop before you closed. He opened the door and say you writing something sitting on a high chair behind the desk. “Hey” he said with a small smile.
You look up from your book and smiled when you saw him, “You came back” you said matching his smile as it grew larger, “I guess my excuse to come see you worked, great book by the way, never thought I’d be into enemies to lovers but apparently I am” he chuckled and put the book down on the desk.
“I’m glad you liked it; I wasn’t sure you were the type” you giggled. There was a moment of silence between you. A moment where you just stared at each other, admiring. “I have to close up the shop now, it was really nice of you to come back Deacon, it was nice to see you” Deacon smiled at your words knowing exactly how you feel.
“It was nice to see you too.... hey do you want to join me for some dinner? I know a great food truck not far from here, we could swing by and get something” you wanted to burst with happiness, you didn’t think he had it in him to ask you out but he did.
“Of course I’ll go with you, let me just grab my purse and lock up” you smiled you sweet smile at him and you giddily ran to the back room to get your stuff, hearing him laugh at your antics.
When he opened the car door for you at the food truck you smiled and took a big inhale. He watched you fall in love with the smell of the food and you walked right up to the menu, “I don’t know what to get” you said to him, “Order for me”
Deacon was about to speak when he heard his name being called out, his team was still here. He turned his head in sync with yours and watched a bunch of people walk up to you both. You instinctively stepped closer to Deacon but you quickly recognized Chris and Luca from earlier in the week.
“I see you asked her out” Chris said.
“I can’t believe it took him so long” another boy said who introduced himself as Jim Street
“Oh, give him a break, it’s been a week” their team leader spoke up, Hondo. Their comments made you blush and you hid your face with your hands giggling. Deacon put his arm around your shoulder to shield you from the teasing while they laughed at the situation wholeheartedly. You're so happy Sergeant Kay came to your bookshop.

MINHO: I make her keep all the money.
YOU: He insists that I handle it.
HOST: Uh-oh. I sense something wrong. What is it? Tell us all about it...
MINHO: [Shrugs]
YOU: Ugh!
MINHO: We were supposed to go on this trip together.
YOU: [rolls eyes]
HOST: Girl, I can see you holding back. Spill!
YOU: [Sighs] Well, since I'm taking care of the money, I thought it would be nice to go on a trip together with the money we've won. On the day we were supposed to leave, we had an argument so yeah...
HOST: Oh, no [frowns]
YOU: I booked the flights, the Airbnb... I have to cancel all of that because he canceled last minute like... [exhales air]
HOST: Minho, you want to add to that?
MINHO: That's all true. We argued on the day of the flight and I canceled.
YOU: And I texted him, you know, he could have still come, we could sort things out face to face but no, he didn't reply to any of my texts.
HOST: If I were you, I would have still gone on that vacation.
YOU: Honestly, I was looking forward to that trip, I want to spend time with him and have fun... [sighs] I was a little heartbroken by that.
HOST: Just to clarify... are you still together or not?
YOU: I'm just going to let it out of my chest that I... I will always have love for Minho and I support him, I'll always be attracted to him. I—
HOST: I'm sorry, girl but you have to hold it right there and we'll get back to you later.
-
HOST: If there's one thing that the villa proves is that people are complicated and one person knows this more than most... it's Zara!
ZARA: [Blows kisses] Hi, hello! That's actually the nicest way to put it, it's complicated [laughs]
HOST: Let me tell you, I was sad to see you got eliminated [pouts]
ZARA: Aww... but that's the thing, I came home not feeling sad at all, and to feel that, I usually have to go out with friends and have a few drinks. But I was sitting at my home thinking of what Lana taught me and what I'd learned... [smiles] It was all a good life lesson.
HOST: What made you feel that way about your elimination?
ZARA: I don't know, I woke up feeling like I learned enough in the retreat, obviously, I didn't want to keep hurting myself and get myself into more drama... [inhales] it's for the best.
HOST: Are you seeing anyone at the moment?
ZARA: Yeah and he's amazing, he's sweet and fun and he's just as obsessed with me as I do for him [chuckles]
HOST: I love that, yeah. You just feel like want to eat him, right?
ZARA: [Laughs]
HOST: But in regards to what happened to you and Bryan, have you spoken to each other ever since? Are you on good terms?
ZARA: He sent me some texts once the show ended but that's just that [thinly smiles] let's just leave it at that.
HOST: It was fun catching up with you but I have to go and talk to Agnes and Jai.
ZARA: Send my love for them [Blows kisses]
HOST: And I am sending you my love. Cheers, babe!
-
HOST: I cannot wait to find out if they're still horny for each other, it's one of my favorite couples, Jai and Agnes!
AGNES: Hi, hi! [Makes smooching sounds]
JAI: G'day! [Grins]
HOST: I never knew I missed that grin of yours, Jai! [Chuckles]
JAI: I know [grins] I'm doing it for you.
HOST: Shush it, boy! Your girl is here!
AGNES: I'm very aware of how flirtatious my man could be. But I'm watching you [squints eyes]
JAI: [Holds both hands up]
HOST: Tell us what happened after the show. Are you guys still naughty and horny?
JAI: Oh, yes.
AGNES: [Laughs]
JAI: She stayed with me for a while, back when I was still having a roommate and he asked me if we were alright. We kept going at it that it concerned him.
AGNES: Oh, my God!
HOST: Oh! You two are just so passionate [laughs]
AGNES: [Nods] [giggles]
JAI: We are!
HOST: Now, for the most important question, are you guys still together or not?
JAI: We had a little break then we just kind of... found a way back to each other.
AGNES: [smiles] We are still together. Yay!
HOST: Oh, thank Goodness!
JAI: A month ago, is it? We took a trip together and eventually met her sister and her family.
AGNES: It was unplanned! [Laughs] [shows hand] There's no ring yet, everyone.
HOST: Jai? Any plans to put a ring on it then?
AGNES: [Laughs]
JAI: Uh... to be continued?
HOST: It's been lovely, you guys. I hope you two stay happy.
AGNES: And horny?
HOST: Yes [laughs] Thank you and see you [blows kisses]
-
HOST: Before we get to the final interview, the guests are sharing their best moments in the villa.
AGNES: Oddly enough, I missed the dressing room, I guess that's because we gossip so much in there [giggles]
JACK: The kiss, obviously [laughs]
LUCA: The first party in the villa. That was... just wild and so much fun.
MAISIE: The final date I had with Luca was just romantic, probably the nicest date I ever had.
YOU: It's all the times Sabine and I hang out in the pool. Then there's also the time when Minho said he likes me, with the cushion and everything [laughs] that was just so special.
BRYAN: Just having with the guys, I guess, we were fooling around a lot, just lots of laughs.
-
HOST: Finally, we have come to the most awaited moment. Let me take a deep breath first [inhales] [exhales] Okay, we're ready now.
YOU: Where were we? [Laughs]
MINHO: The canceled trip and you were sad about it.
YOU: Yes, that... we had arguments like that not once or twice, I think that's just our love language [laughs]
HOST: That's kind of sexy, actually.
YOU: At that time, I just knew I had to be the one putting on the big girl pants, again [rolls eyes] if he didn't want to come to me then I'll just come to him.
HOST: Oh, my God! Is it like one of those movie scenes where the girl chasing the guy—
YOU: yeah, it's pretty much like that but the problem was... it was around Christmas and you know how hard it is to get a flight during holidays, it was a nightmare but I went through all that to see him.
HOST: And...?
YOU: It was cold and snowing, I dragged behind me, and knocked on his door, expecting that his face would light up when he saw me...
HOST: Oh, no, I sense a 'but' coming...
MINHO: I was just telling you to stop knocking [shrugs]
YOU: That's what he did, he scolded me for knocking on his door.
HOST: It keeps getting worse... I don't think I want to hear the rest.
MINHO: We're still together, we made up that day.
HOST: Oh, thank you Minho. I was close to having a cardiac arrest [clutches chest]
YOU: [Smiles] I didn't mean to scare anyone, sorry. We're still together, we still argue sometimes but we're still together, thank God!
HOST: That's good to hear so what are the plans now? Besides trying to be civil with each other [laughs]
YOU: Oh, before I forget, Minho also said the L word that day [giggles]
HOST: What? How could you hide it from it?
YOU: We were exchanging Christmas presents and he casually dropped the L bomb.
MINHO: Casually?
YOU: Honey... [laughs] I didn't say I don't like it. See? [Sighs] We need a couple counseling.
HOST: That's not a bad idea [chuckles]
YOU: I think it was special that there were only the two of us, it was intimate and heartfelt, and it couldn't be more perfect [smiles]
HOST: Minho, that... I didn’t know you were such a gentle guy.
MINHO: I've been meaning to say it, I just... didn't have the right time to say it.
YOU: Because we're always arguing.
HOST: [Laughs] I love that you guys complete each other's sentences.
YOU: I know, that's why I love us. That, and also because the make-up sex is just... [moans] [thumbs up]
HOST: Ugh, okay, you got me jealous now. I'll leave you two back to arguing then [laughs] Best wishes to you two, my loves! [Blows kisses]
-
HOST: It's been a blast catching up with all the casts of Too Hot To Handle Season 2. Thank you so much for watching, see you next time!

LAST CHRISTMAS
"I don't chase, I attract."
You say those words out loud and manifest them to the world when you meditate in the morning but here you are, getting off the plane to chase a guy who canceled your planned trip at the last minute and not replying to your calls or texts.
You might have attracted him but nobody tells you that you have to chase him around too.
The layers of clothes that should have shielded you from the cold only make your body hot and soon drenched in sweat.
Why there are so many stairs? Why Minho has to live up on the hill? Why is your suitcase so heavy? Why did you pack so many clothes? Why are you here at all?
Despite the fatigue that slowly taking over you, you manage to conquer the last flight of stairs and arrive at his house.
After hours of bustling through the airport and the traffic, not to mention, dragging your luggage through the street, you're aware of how you look and it's not how you want Minho to see you when he opens the door.
But he should be appreciative of your intentions to come here and surprise him.
Right?
Can't believe you have second thoughts when you're already standing right in front of his door, why couldn't you have these thoughts before you got on the plane?
You throw away your worries and stop thinking altogether, your hands start knocking on the door. Once, twice... no one opens the door.
Oh, God? What if he's not home? What if—
You keep knocking on his door in case he didn't hear you the first two times. Your knocking is almost turning into a banging when he finally pulls the door open.
Minho stands there and looks at you with your hand hanging mid-air.
"You can stop knocking now," he says, scolding you for the aggressive knocking.
You don't expect confetti or cake or grand entrance music, but not this either, just you and him, looking at each other in silence.
Another moment passes and Minho opens the door wider, "Why are you just standing there? It's cold, get in!" He scolds you again.
It's only been a few minutes but he has scolded you twice already and weirdly, you obey him, getting into his house, pulling your luggage behind you.
Something is beeping from inside the house and Minho runs to check it, you allow yourself to go further inside. You take off your coat and purse, putting them on top of your suitcase before continuing to look around his house.
It's not small, not big either and it's obvious that he keeps it tidy and clean. You expect nothing less than that.
It's like seeing a movie scene, except that it's real. Minho looks exceptionally gorgeous in his dark sweater with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and one hand that is busy stirring something in a pot.
"Go wash your hands!" He orders.
You're too deep in your daydream to listen to him the first time and only get what he said the second time.
"Dinner is almost ready," he adds, closing the pot with a lid and then turning off the stove.
"Where's the—"
"The door behind you," he answers your unfinished question.
You're too tired to bicker with him and the smell of the soup he's cooking is appetizing, making your stomach rumbling in hunger.
Is it why Minho is not that happy to see you? You look horrible with your eyes looking dark and heavy with exhaustion, your hair is greasy and stuck to your forehead.
There's no time to dig into your suitcase to get your toiletry bag so you do everything to make yourself look presentable, wash your face, and brush your hair with your fingers, hoping that it's enough for now.
Minho has already set everything on the dining table when you return from the bathroom, looking at the food he's serving, your stomach is getting impatient on being filled with some home-cooked meals.
"This looks good," you say, taking a seat on the dining table.
He doesn't say anything to your compliment but goes to the kitchen to bring back a pitcher of water, then sits opposite you.
Minho immediately starts digging into his food and as much as you want to do the same, you're hoping to hear something from him other than commands.
"Do you perhaps... want to say something to me?" You carefully say.
He continues eating, taking a few things from different plates and eating them with a spoonful of rice.
"Like... 'oh, what a nice surprise!' or 'I'm happy to see you, honey'," you recite a few lines you wished to hear him saying yet he seems to enjoy his food too much to pay attention to what you're saying.
You softly sigh and pick up your spoon, "A hug would be nice," you mumble.
He glances up from his bowl of rice and looks at you, "You must be hungry. Eat!"
You cave in, obeying him again, and eat the food just like he ordered. Maybe because you were hungry, you feel less upset now that your stomach is filled.
You help with the dishes after dinner, drying your hands with a towel once you're finished then refill your glass with more red wine before leaning against the counter, watching Minho slicing up fruits, he looks so relaxed but maybe because he's in his element, in his own place.
"You're different at home," you mutter, then take a small sip of your wine.
He glances at you for a second before focusing back on the task in hand, the hand gripping the knife showcasing the evident veins on his forearm.
"Off-guard," you point out.
He pauses cutting an apple then looks at you, "Should I be on guard?"
To other people, Minho may seem like he's trying to pick a fight with you but that's just how he communicates, a bit snarky with a whole lot of nonchalance in it.
It's a good thing that you've been with him long enough to know how to handle him. You put your wine glass away and smile, "You're the one holding a knife, I should be the one on guard."
He smirks hearing your words and it took you this long to make him do that.
"So... will you put the knife down so you can kiss your girlfriend who came all the way to see you?" You sweetly ask, tilting your head to the side and batting your eyelashes at him even though you're not sure these flirting tricks would work on him.
You see that he loosens the grip around the knife and you come closer to him, "That's it, easy, easy..." you playfully say.
You take his other hand and let the knife drop onto the cutting board, turning him to face you. Holding his eyes in a gaze, you slide your hands up his arms then reunite them on the nape of his neck.
"I missed you," you softly mutter but your heart is close to shattering.
"So much," you say all of those words out while deeply looking into his dark brown eyes as they stare down into yours.
"Do you miss me?"
Minho hates it when you're insecure like this but you can't help it, it's just happens when you care so much about someone so let's hope he still knows that.
Then he leans in and kisses you, answering your question with a fiery kiss that melts your worries away until the only thing that remains is the warm feeling he brings with those lips.
When he pulls away, you forget the reason why you ever doubted him.
He then rests his hand on your back, he then slowly and deliberately blinks his eyes before saying, "I missed you too."
It's nice to hear that you're not the only one suffering from the longing. You smile knowing that he thought of you when you weren't here with him even though you're sure not as many times as you thought of him.
"Okay, good, the feeling is still mutual," you awkwardly say with a dry chuckle.
What can you say? Dating Minho is not for the faint of heart, it takes a lot of patience and courage, and it takes... a lot of things.
But is he worth it? The answer is Minho worth everything and more.
The shower helps you get rid of the stress that’s been clinging onto you and you come out refreshed, not feeling tired at all. If anything, you feel excited to spend the rest of the night with Minho, catching up on a lot of things.
Before that, you make yourself presentable this time, putting on your night dress and drying your hair real quick. You notice the toiletry bag Minho brought to the villa is on the sink and it seems like he packed it recently. You shrug it off, keeping your skincare routine brief, impatiently wanting to join Minho on his bed.
On your way to the bedroom, you also notice that he packed a suitcase in his closet, you wonder if he’s planning to go somewhere soon.
Minho is sitting on his bed reading a book, doing it so elegantly like he’s in a furniture TV ad.
“Are you going somewhere?” You get on the bed and lay on your stomach facing him.
“Huh?” He asks without looking away from his book.
You peek over to see the book he’s reading, from the cover you can see that it’s either a mystery, thriller, or horror book, it could be all of that combined.
“I saw your suitcase, packed,” you tell him.
He lowers his book to look at you, “unpacked, you mean,” he says.
Ah, that explains it but looking at how he keeps his things in his house tidy, there’s no way he lets his things stay in his suitcase for too long.
“You should dry your hair. You’ll catch a cold,” he says nonchalantly yet oozing with affection.
This is why you love him, he’s hot and cold, always keeping you on your toes, dating him is one endless thrilling ride.
“I just didn’t dry the end,” you tell him.
The talk about the suitcase reminds you of something. You roll over to the side of the bed and open your suitcase, taking two gift boxes you actually prepared for tomorrow. You bring them over to the bed, sitting next to Minho and place the smaller box first onto his lap.
“Merry Christmas,” You say with a bright smile on your face.
Minho raises an eyebrow at you then glares down at the gift on his lap, “What is it?”
“Your Christmas present from me,” you simply answer.
He seems way too calm for someone who receives a gift from his girlfriend and not sure you’re going to get used to this.
“Open it!” you impatiently say because he keeps observing the box and doing nothing to find out what’s inside.
He finally takes the lid off and sees the bracelet inside. You’re smiling as he takes it out to observe it. You hurriedly help him putting it around his wrist.
“Do you like it?” You ask once you clasped the ends together.
“Did you buy it with the prize money?” He asks with a sly grin.
Why he’s making it hard for you? You must admit that Minho makes you realize that you have a lot of patience in you. You take a deep, deep sigh and put on a big smile for him.
“I’m glad you like it and you’re very welcome,“ you respond, not going to make this supposed-to-be-a-heartfelt-moment into an argument.
It’s time to hand him the second box, instead of putting it on his lap, you drop it right on his crotch as a way to get back to him. He doesn’t flinch but pulls the box closer to his chest before opening it. You put your hand on top of the lid, stopping him from opening it.
“It’s not for you,” you tell him.
His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, “Then why did you give it to me?”
“Because I know you don’t have a Christmas present prepared for me so I got you one,” you explain.
It takes him a moment to process your words, “So, you bought this for me to gift to you?”
“Yes,” you answer without a beat.
He bursts into laughter and the box is shaking along with his body as he laughs, “So it- this one for you?”
You take the box from him and smile at him, “Thank you for the present, honey,” you say, then place a quick peck on his lips.
You put on an act, pretending not to know what’s inside the box and slowly uncovering it, taking the lid off with low exciting squeals coming out of your parted mouth. You tear through the wrapping paper and gasp at the sight of the content.
“Oh, my God! Honey…” You coo at him.
You take the pair of lingerie out of the box and show it to him, “This is so beautiful!” You exclaim with excitement even though you were the one who bought it.
“You like it?” He’s slyly smiling as he asks you.
“Are you kidding me? I love it!” You dramatically ask, clutching the gift close to your chest.
You lean in close and tilt your head to the side, “Ugh! You know me so well,” You sneer, then peck his lips.
“I’m glad you like it,” He coyly asks.
You put everything into the box and sigh, “I wanted to put them on and show them to you but…”
You put the lid back onto the box, excessively raising your shoulders, and slump them down as you let out another dramatic sigh, “I’m not in the mood.”
Minho snorts and puts away the boxes, stacking them on the bedside table, “Yeah, you’d better rest, you must be tired.”
And Minho always picks the worst time to be considerate towards you, you roll your eyes and stomp your feet as you walk back to your suitcase, tossing the lingerie into your suitcase and angrily shut it.
“But if you’re not tired, I would love to see you in them,” he says with a devilish smile dancing on his beautiful face.
Hate that you melt right away to his sweet consolidation, your foot is tapping the floor as you pretend to consider his request.
“Well… if you insist,” you say, grabbing the lingerie back from your suitcase.
You’re giggling as you walk to Minho’s closet, changing out of your night dress and putting the lingerie on. As you’re changing, you see Minho’s backpack sitting next to his “unpacked” suitcase. You don’t mean to snoop but it’s open, you can see what’s inside. Using your fingers, you pry it open wider and see that he has a plane ticket clamped between his passport, you reach down to take a look at it when he calls from you from the bedroom.
It feels as if you got caught stealing, you scramble to leave the closet and Minho is putting something into his bedside drawer when you come back. He looks at you, confused to see you standing in a silk robe that comes with the lingerie.
“That’s not the same as what I bought for you,” he playfully says, sitting on the edge of the bed facing you.
You come up to him and stop right in front of him, “Jeez, Minho! You’re not a kid anymore, unwrap your gift yourself,” you tell him with a cheeky smile.
It’s a good thing that he can’t hear how fast your heart is beating right now and it’s beating faster when he looks up, staring into your eyes as his hands reach for your silk robe, untying it until they part open.
You do the rest, sliding the silk robe down your arms and letting it fall onto the carpeted floor. You take a final step, closing the gap between you and him.
He places his hands on each side of your waist, his fingers teasing the thin straps of the lacy underwear but his eyes never stray away from yours even for a moment
“So…?” You curiously ask since he’s not saying anything the moment he sees them on you.
He glides his hands up to your back and draws you close until his lips land on your abdomen, inhaling your scent as he kisses it, making you flutter inside. After a while, he glances up at you and says, “Glad I bought it.”
That sends you into a laughing fit and at the same, he pulls you until you both collapse onto the bed.
-
A breathless gasp escapes your parted mouth as Minho inserts his fingers inside you, he uses two digits to find that spot that makes you let out another gasp, louder, almost inaudible.
He’s hovering above you as he starts pumping his fingers in and out of you at a steady pace and his face is so calm, a contrast to your state: a moaning mess under him.
He presses a kiss on you with tongue and teeth clashing in your mouth, his kisses are hungry, it feels as if he wants to eat you whole.
“Oh…” You moan again, feeling his fingers curl inside you.
Minho then drags his mouth down your chest, using his free hand he yanks down the cup of your bra just so he can suck on your nipple and leave it soaked and wet with his saliva. He continues his trail of wet kisses down your body and he stops with his head hanging between your legs, watching your eyes fluttering as he keeps pumping his fingers.
He pulls your underwear to the side and keeps it there, without wasting another second, he plants his mouth on your cunt, not caring how wet it is. He lifts his head for a moment, using the tip of his tongue to trace your folds and gently, circling your clit that is pulsating with so much desire.
Minho dives down into your wetness again and this time, he lands right on your clit and sucks hard on it.
“Oh, fu-“You can’t even finish your profanity, your voice is shaking and so are your legs.
You slip your hands into his hair, tugging at it as he keeps on sucking and it’s a fruitless effort to try to stop him, the more you try, the harder he sucks on your clit and the faster he pumps his fingers, making you overwhelmed with pleasure.
The only conclusion is Minho won’t stop until you
“I’m- oh, I’m cumming…” you whine, helplessly tugging at his hair.
He hovers above you again but now, he slowly puts his body on top of you, pinning you as he presses kisses on your lips, making you dizzy as he can’t stop kissing you until you run out of breath.
“Honey…” you sigh as you gently push his chest away.
You smile at him and put your hand on the back of his head, wanting to keep him close to you. As you catch your breath, you allow yourself to take a moment to enjoy this moment with him, placing a sweet kiss on his lips and then letting out a low sigh as you pull away.
“Gosh…how I missed you!” You pour out all of the emotions you’ve been keeping inside you and seal the hole in your heart with a kiss that yet again, takes your breath away.
It’s time to show him how much your body misses him. You pull the hem of his sweater and take it off of him to continue kissing him. Slowly, you roll him to the side until he lays next to you and overlaps half of his body with yours.
Minho lets you have the pleasure of doing whatever you want to him, he puts his hands over his head as your hand goes lower and slips it under his sweatpants, palming his member before letting it out.
You glance down to see how his cock is hardening in your hand, “Oh, he’s excited to see me,” you playfully mutter to him.
“What are you going to do then?” He coyly asks.
“Mmh…” you delightfully sigh as you pretend to think of an answer all the while your thumb is circling the tip of his cock.
“I just have so many ideas,” you answer him with a seductive tone.
To execute your ideas, you first get rid of his sweatpants then sit on his thick thighs. You seductively smile at him as you take hold of his cock in your hand again, slowly stroking it with your clothed cunt only inches away from it.
You both wanted it but what’s the fun in giving in to the temptations right away?
His cock is swollen and hard, so ready for you and you are just as eager to take him but refrained yourself. Instead of that, you lean down to lick the tip of his cock with your tongue. The second time, you place a lick from the base up to the tip and then stroke it again.
“How you like that?” you tease him.
Minho doesn’t say anything, he remains calm but his body tells you otherwise, not only his cock, his body reddens all over, his chest, his ears, his cheeks… he’s completely turned on.
You tease him by rubbing his cock to your clothed core, “Mmh… yeah,” you hum in pleasure.
To tease him more, you put his cock inside your underwear, soaking it with your essence as you start grinding on him, unknowingly teasing yourself too in the process.
The yes he’s giving you… oh, it’s so intense, so full of lust, he looks at you like you’re the sexiest thing he ever laid his eyes on, making you feel so wanted, and admired. You suddenly feel a charge of confidence surging all over you and you lean down, kissing him with so much passion until you drain all the air in your lungs.
“Screw this!” you mutter.
Carefully, you push his cock inside you and ease yourself down, taking him little by little until he’s fully sheathed inside you. You just sit there to adjust yourself to his size, closing your eyes as your hands start touching yourself.
Minho gets his hands on you too, he places them on your thighs and glides them up the sides of your body. You take his hands, using them to cup your breasts and fondle them together. You’re lowly moaning as he squeezes on them.
Minho only stops just to pull you close so he can kiss you, putting his arms around you to not let you go and without warning, he starts bucking his hips into you. You can tell he’s smirking against your lips while you let out a broken moan.
“That’s not-oh, not fair!” you mumble yet pressing another kiss on him.
Minho insists on you keeping the lingerie on, he ends up being the one taking it off of you and tossing it onto the bedroom floor. He made you climax twice already but Gosh, looking at him passionately making love to you, you can already tell you’re going to climax for the third time.
“Oh, my God! You feel so good,” You murmur into his shoulders with your fingers clawing his back.
Minho crashes his lips on you, deepening his kiss as he thrusts harder into you. He can sense that you’re about to cum again, he adds intensity to his thrusts and goes as shallow as possible.
Your eyes are screwed shut, feeling the knot inside you keep tightening, getting close to your-
Minho slows down, knowing that you just cum around him and the way he kisses, it’s so gentle as if he knows that you’re already overly stimulated.
You hold him close as you come down from your high, returning his kisses while keeping him inside you.
“You’re not going to stop, are you?”
You brush his hair back with your fingers, putting all the hair covering his face and holding his jaw, “Don’t stop, honey,” you whine.
Nothing gets him off than hearing how needy you are for him. You wrap your legs tighter around his waist and pull him closer, “I don’t want you to stop until you cum inside me,” you whisper into his ear.
That seems to work as planned, Minho picks up the pace of his thrusts, harder and deeper, giving what you both wanted.
You give up on holding in your moans, you let them spill out of your parted mouth and as he gets closer to his release, you press a haste kiss on his mouth.
“Want you to cum inside me, honey,” you whine again.
You have to pause a few times as he mercilessly pulsates his hips against you and the bed creaks along to his movements.
“Oh, please, please!” you sigh.
“Minho, please!”
At this point, you can’t tell if you’re begging him to stop or keep going, the pain and pleasure start to blur into one. You hold onto his shoulders with fingers digging into this flesh and forming crescent marks on his warm, honey skin.
It takes Minho a few more thrusts to finally cum inside you, releasing all of his seed inside you as he collapses on top of you. You embrace him, holding him with so much love, and kiss him with all of your heart until it quakes inside your chest.
Minho hastily kisses your lips, then drags his mouth close to your ear, you’re already drowsy and tired from the day that you barely can keep your eyes open anymore. You can hear him mutter something into your ear but when you’re about to tell him to repeat it, you fall asleep instead.
-
"Honey, wake up!"
If it isn't because of the hand squeezing your asscheek, you wouldn't have budged from your sleep. When you try to open your eyes, they are heavy and you feel like taking another hour of sleep.
Then Minho bites at your arm, making you jolt on your bed in reaction.
"Minho!" You sharply gasp.
"Wake up!" He says again, now slapping at your ass cheek.
Your feet are kicking the duvet as you whine like a fussy kid, "It's too early."
You turn over on the bed, lying on your side to face him, and croak, "What time is it?"
"One."
"One a.m?"
Minho presses a kiss on your shoulder then gets up from the bed, "Come on, wake up!"
He walks out of the bedroom and leaves the door ajar. You force yourself away and rub your eyes before opening them.
The daylight is almost blinding you and you immediately shut your eyes again, scooting to the side and your hand reaches for your phone on the bedside table.
You tap the screen until it lights up, showing you that it's indeed one o'clock in the afternoon. You must be tired from the flights, dragging your suitcase up the hill in the cold, and then there was the sex, a lot of sex. You remember how you passed out not long after he cum inside you.
Oh no, you missed the whole Christmas morning and that's not the plan. You thought of how nice it would be to snuggle together with Minho on the sofa while having hot chocolate on Christmas morning.
Instead of that, you stand in front of the sink and feel horrified to see your reflection in the mirror, how tired and miserable you look after ten hours of sleep.
Instead of wearing your clothes, you stop by his closet and borrow one of his comfiest knitted sweaters. His suitcase and his backpack are still there, you assume he didn't know you were snooping into his stuff.
Well, there's another reason to snoop in further to see where he's going with the flight ticket. You check for the situation first and waddle back inside, taking his passport out of the bag.
Minho looks so hot even on a government-issued ID photo and before you forget the main goal here, you flip it open to see the details of his flight ticket and you see it.
Unless he has someone else to see in the city you live in, you can safely assume that he planned on coming to see you too, and probably wants to spend the new year with you.
"I knew it!" You exclaim to yourself with a giddy smile on your face.
You wanted to remain calm and pretend that you didn't see the flight ticket and everything but... you can't help but smile when you see him sipping his coffee in the kitchen.
Minho is what people say as one with the softest heart builds the hardest shell. He acts cold, nonchalant, and a bit mean, but that's how you know he really cares for you, and he's genuine and sincere about you.
You come up to him and throw your arms around him, not wasting time kissing his lips, putting all of your affection into this long kiss, and pull away with a gasp.
"Merry Christmas," you happily say to him.
Minho smiles and returns the kiss with a quick peck on your lips, "Coffee?"
You eagerly nod and you wait on the sofa, taking a cookie out of a plate full of them, watching the snow floating in the air through the window.
"Thank you," you mutter as he hands you your cup of steaming hot coffee.
"This is good," you tell him, taking another cookie from the plate.
"I made them," he casually says like he didn't put any effort into baking such delicious cookies.
Minho is good at a lot of things so when he said he made these cookies, you didn't doubt him even for a second.
You place a kiss on his cheek, "These are really good," you tell him again.
You might have missed the Christmas morning but there's always a time to snuggle close to him. It's quiet and warm, it's such a nice moment and to be able to spend it with him is one that you're most grateful for.
Suddenly, Minho takes something from the end of the sofa and shows it to you.
"For you?"
You stop chewing your cookie and put the rest away, "For me?"
He nods and coyly sips his coffee, watching you excitedly unwrapping the gift to find out what's inside.
You gasp as you see a necklace inside, white gold with a small pendant, delicate and beautiful.
"I love it," you tell him with a gleeful smile.
It's always the thoughts that counts. The fact that he thought of you when he picked this gift worth more than the gift itself.
"You should be. I bought it with my own money," he pokes fun at you.
You pout at him, handing him the box so he can put it on for you. You hold all of your hair up in your hands as he puts the necklace around your neck, safely clasping the ends together.
"I love it," you mutter again, letting go of your hair so you can bring his head close and give him a sweet little kiss on his lips.
"Thank you," you say as you break the kiss with a soft caress on his cheek.
He smiles and places a kiss on your cheek, then your jaw. When you think he's going to kiss your neck next, he brings his mouth close to your ear, and ever so softly he murmurs, "I love you."
Your heart shrinks and the next second, it expands twice its size, overflowing with warm feelings. You feel like flying, riding on the clouds of those three words.
"What did you say?" You ask with a foolish smile on your face.
He slyly smiles and sips his coffee, "You heard," he says.
"I heard but..." you lean in close to his side and hold his hand, "can you say it one more time?"
Your sweet smile and the fondness in your eyes are not enough to make him cave in. You should have known it wouldn't be that easy.
You pout and then sigh, but you feel the need to return those words to him. It's not because you have to, but you have known for a while that he is not just a passing fancy, you see a future with him, and as silly as it sounds, you can see yourself growing old with him.
What you have for him is real and it's powerful, it's taking over you.
You hold his jaw and turn his head to look at you, you lean in close until your noses meet in the middle, softly you nuzzle them together while softly smiling at him.
"I love you," you say back with all of your heart that it aches.
Then you place your lips against him and let your heart pour out, flowing all of your emotions into the kiss.
When you open your eyes, his eyes are staring straight into yours. He holds your gaze and lovingly, he says those three words again for you.
"I love you."
And in his eyes, you find comfort, safety, you find a home you want to live in, forever.

Trailer park Steve AU part 15
part 1 | part 14 | ao3
“Please please please please pleeeeease,” Dustin whines, tugging hard on the hem of Steve’s shirt.
“Dude get off me.” He slips the last of the leftover containers into the fridge, slams the door shut, and turns to glare at Dustin, who oh-so-conveniently had to step out after dinner to ‘walkie Lucas about a homework question’ and left Steve and Eddie to do the washing up.
In the absence of a Henderson buffer, the air between them had pretty immediately gone stale. Hesistant and charged, overly formal; fucking weird. Eddie moves like a weirdo, sways his hips out of the way of counter corners instead of walking a straight path, like some swaggering drunken pirate, and he spent the last ten minutes awkwardly traipsing around the perimeters of the kitchen as if Steve were a landmine he might set off at any time.
So yeah.
Steve’s feeling a little ungracious at the moment. “Seriously, what is so important that you can’t just show it to us tomorrow?”
“Ummm, scientific discovery? Wonder at the natural world around us?? Where’s your sense of adventure, Steve?”
“The last time I followed my sense of adventure out to your cellar I almost got—” His eyes cut sharply to Eddie, who’s doing a terrible job of pretending not to eavesdrop. Steve scrambles for a way to end his sentence that isn’t eaten by a creature with a razor flower for a face. “—uh, mauled.”
“Mauled?” Eddie asks, eyes bugging out. “Henderson, I’m not following you into the woods to get to turned into some feral thing’s chew toy, man.”
“It was fine,” Dustin insists, covertly kicking Steve in the shin.
Steve thinks of his NDAs and plays along. “Y-yeah. Totally fine. It was just, like, a rabid raccoon or something.”
“That… does not sound fine.”
“It’s cool,” Steve tries to reassure him (no idea why, really; that cellar’s nightmare fuel.) He throws a dish towel over his shoulder, nods his head decisively. “I’ll bring my nail bat with us.”
“You’ll fucking bring your what?”
Steve drags his nail bat through the leaves on the narrow trail, the wood thudding along behind him as they make their way to the cellar, a detached storm shelter at the far edge of the lot. It’s dark out here. And cold. His breath hangs in a puff of wet fog when he mutters, “Seriously, Dustin, this better be Noble Prize worthy stuff.”
“It’s Nobel,” Eddie says.
“Huh?”
“The, uh- the prize? It’s No-bel.”
“….Well, that’s stupid.”
“Why would it be Noble?” Eddie snorts, but his eyes are curious and kind.
“Because— because you have to be Noble to earn it? I don’t know!” Eddie laughs like he finds the answer cute. Steve doubles down. “That makes perfect sense, and you know it. A Noble Prize for a Noble Effort. Tell me I’m wrong.”
“You’re wrong,” Dustin grunts as he unlocks the cellar doors. “Now come on.”
The cellar's just as creepy as Steve remembers: low ceiling, dusty cement blocks, a single, sad lightbulb dangling on a string. He eyes the dark corner on the far side of the squat room, bricked up now but it wasn't before; there were tunnels under here, once, vast networks like blood vessels to the beating heart of a monster Steve still can't fully comprehend. He grips the bat a little tighter.
"—Shit," Dustin says suddenly, cutting himself off mid-ramble about how cool his latest science project is, how it puts Cerebro to shame. "I forgot the remote." "You want me to go get it?" Steve offers. "No!" Dustin says it in a rush, then stammers, "No, that's okay. You won't know what to look for." He seems nervous. Jittery. Maybe the cellar creeps him out, too. "Be right back, just wait here."
"Grreeeat," Eddie replies as Dustin jogs back up the stairs, cupping his hands around his mouth to call sarcastically after him, "We'll just be loitering in your murder basement, then; take your time!"
With Dustin gone, there’s nothing to do but stand there metaphorically twiddling their thumbs. Steve’s idly swinging his bat in a wide sweep around his calves, and Eddie’s staring at the ground, scuffing the toe of his shoe into a streak of dirt, arms crossed over his chest, head bowed. He’s humming something that Steve can't quite make out, but it doesn't sound like the stuff he usually blasts from his van. It's softer. Easy. Almost pop.
“Hey, wait a sec...” Steve holds up a finger, turning his good ear toward the stairs. The leafy crunch of footsteps isn’t getting any quieter, and now it sounds like there are two pairs, getting louder; circling back. “You hear that?”
Eddie nods. Looks serious and spooked. Steve raises his bat, a sudden spike of fear; he creeps over to the stairs. “Hey,” he calls to the darkness. The rustling noise picks up, a swish of movement through the brush, and then the crrrrroak of something metal. Something heavy, groaning on its—
Hinges. Hinges. Son of a bitch, the cellar doors. “Hey!” he shouts, breaking into a run. “HEY—!”
BOOMMMM.
The doors slam shut with a heavy crash and the grating clink of more metal scraping metal. Steve bolts up the stairs, shoves with all his strength against the slanted doors above him. The doors don’t budge. “What the fuck?” Eddie shouts from the bottom of the stairs.
Steve pounds against the doors. “HENDERSON?”
Eddie comes up to join him, using his forearms like battering rams to try to bash the doors open. His voice cracks when he hollers, “Henderson, for real, man! I-if this is some kinda- some kinda sick fucking joke it isn’t funny!!”
“It’s for your own good!!” a voice that isn’t Dustin yells through the gap in the doors, and Eddie squawks, “MIKE?”
Mike?? MIKE?? Oh, that goddamned ungrateful, conniving little—
“We just wanted you two to talk to each other!” Mike says.
Dustin adds, “For real this time."
“Yeah, for real this time!”
Steve punches the doors, and Eddie bares his teeth like he can scorch a hole through the metal with the heat of his glare alone. “Wheeler, you are SO dead!!”
“So fucking dead!!!” Steve agrees.

Tumblr media
Your fingers rake over your outfit as your eyes catch on everything you deem an imperfection. As your reflection stares back at you, distorted, shy, unworthy of the man on his way to pick you up for a date, you wonder, what does Deacon see in me?
Deacon Kay is the opposite of what you think you deserve. He’s kind, loving, handsome, and makes you feel seen, even when you don’t want to be. As your mind races and your hands tingle to fix something deep beneath the surface of your skin, someone knocks and harshly pulls you back to reality. You take a deep breath and tug the fabric of your outfit away from your skin once more before you walk out of your room and to the door.
“Hi, Deac,” you greet.
“You look beautiful,” he replies as he steps inside. When his eyes meet yours, he proves to you that no one will ever be able to love you like he does. “Are you okay?”
While you nod, you ask, “Do I look alright?”
“Better than alright,” Deacon assures. “Ready to go?”
“I think so.”
Deacon smiles, and your breath catches as your eyes drop. He takes your hand and leads you to his car. Deacon’s a gentleman, the most handsome guy you’ve ever met, and you can’t help but feel that he could do so much better.
“You’re sure I look alright?” you repeat as you lower into his passenger seat.
“Absolutely.”
As he walks to the driver’s door, Deacon sighs. You can ask him if you look alright a hundred times, but he’s still trying to catch his breath. He knows you won’t believe him if he tells you. Deacon is learning that showing you every single day that you are all he wants is the only way to convince you he’s all in, and if that helps you build some confidence, even better.
Your fingers are twisted in your top when Deacon starts the car. He leaves the car in park to turn toward you. Gently, he pulls your hands away from your stomach and rubs your knuckles. His smile is the perfect reward when your shy gaze finally reaches his eyes.
“Listen, you could honestly show up wearing a beat-up tee, and you’d still be the centerpiece,” Deacon tells you. He shushes you kindly when you shake your head. “If you don’t believe me… There’s nothing I wouldn’t do, okay? The way you look tonight – every night – you’re what I want, but I want you to see what I see.”
“I think-“ You swallow and force your voice to remain steady as you finish, “I think you see something that isn’t there, Deacon.”
Deacon’s big brown eyes harden quickly before his gaze softens. He’s lucky to have you; if you can’t see that, he’ll shout it from the rooftops until you hear him, too.
Tumblr media
The day after your date, you don’t hear from Deacon. It’s not unusual; he’s got a busy and dangerous job, but after exposing the extent of your insecurities, it concerns you. If Deacon finally saw what you see in the mirror or realized that other women would be lucky to have him, you may have lost the best thing that ever happened to you.
You’ve been shy your whole life; you are used to that, but the insecurity rooting itself deep in your identity gets stronger daily. A relationship with a man like Deacon shouldn’t be marked by how often he reassures you that he wants you. For now, that voice deep down ridicules. As you drop your head into your hands, you ask yourself if there’s any chance that Deacon meant what he said last night and the other times he’s told you he’s lucky to have you.
Tumblr media
“Deac, you got anything to get off your chest?” Luca asks.
Deacon shakes his head and throws another punch. Luca staggers backward at the force behind Deacon’s hit. He’s strong, his teammates know that, but this is different.
“How’d the date go last night?” Luca adds.
“I wish I knew,” Deacon replies.
“What does that mean, man?”
Deacon drops his arms and steps out of his fighting stance. “She’s…” Deacon takes a deep breath to order his thoughts. “I’m so lucky to have her, but I feel like she’s slipping out of my hands and doesn’t believe me when I try to bring her back in.”
Luca nods. Other men might poke fun at Deacon’s romantic analogy or that he’s willing to fight for a woman, but Luca knows Deacon means every word he says.
“What does she need?”
“Something that I can’t order from a florist.”
“You’ll figure it out, Deacon. If she’s still around, sounds to me like she’s fighting to stay close, too.”
“I just… I hate that I can’t help her in that fight.”
“It’s not what you want to hear, but fight your battle, Deac. You love her, that’ll be enough.”
“I hope so.”
Deacon waves his hand up, and Luca raises the punching pad again. If Deacon stops pulling his punches again, Luca won’t complain.
Tumblr media
“Hey,” you say softly as the call connects. “Sorry for calling in the middle of the day, but I was just-“
“No, it’s my fault,” Deacon interrupts. “I should’ve called. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay.” You pick at the pillow in your lap, waiting for Deacon to say something else.
“Are you busy?”
“Right now? No.”
“Good. I’ll be there in twenty.”
“Why?” The question slips out before you consider how it sounds. “I mean-“
“I know,” Deacon says, and you can hear his smile in his tone. “Get ready, do whatever you need, and I’ll be there soon.”
“Okay. See you then.”
“Perfect.”
The line beeps as Deacon ends the call, and you look at the dark screen. Twenty minutes isn’t much time, so you stand and pull your favorite outfit from the closet. You ignore the mirror as you walk past it. Deacon didn’t say what he was planning to do with you, so you dressed for casual comfort. Luckily, some of your insecurities have been silenced since the last time you saw Deacon. You know all too well that they’re waiting for the perfect opportunity to rear their ugly heads again.
You wait at the door for Deacon’s knock and smile as he offers his hand. He compliments your beauty – not your hair or your outfit specifically, but you as a whole person – and you don’t question it this time. It’s a small change, but one that you owe to Deacon.
“Where are we going?” you ask.
“I was going to take you to lunch, but Luca’s food truck is stopping by HQ in about an hour. I thought we'd just stay there. Is that okay?”
“Sure,” you agree. “Is your squad still there?”
“Yep. You can finally meet all the people who listen to me talk about how lucky I am to have you.”
You smile at your lap, and Deacon moves his hand into your line of sight. He sighs as you take his hand and squeezes your fingers.
“Thanks,” he says.
“For?”
I know you won’t believe me, Deacon thinks. “You’re all I want. Thanks for giving me the chance to be with you, look a fool, count my blessings, all of it.”
“You’re welcome… I think.”
Deacon laughs at your questioning tone, and the smile on his face makes the wall of doubts about yourself crack. But it shouldn’t be his job to fight your insecurities. That’s not a relationship.
“Your friends sound nice,” you tell Deacon. “I didn’t think you’d introduce me to them so soon.”
“They practically know you already. I make them look at what I’ve got, and it’s you.”
You move your free hand over Deacon’s and run your finger across his wrist. Deacon pulls into the parking lot outside HQ, and you take a deep breath. He releases your hand slowly, then helps you out of the car.
“They’re a lot,” he warns. “Mostly Street.”
“They’re your family,” you counter. “I’ll be fine.”
Deacon’s lips pick up at the corners. You want to ask what that’s about, but he leads you around a corner before you can. Several men are standing beside the boxing ring, and when one of them sees Deacon, everything changes. He slaps the arm of the man closest to him, but his eyes never leave you.
Four men turn at his reaction, and all of their jaws drop. You smile shyly as Deacon leads you toward them. After a moment that stretches into an hour, the man closest to Deacon snaps out of his stupor.
“Hey!” he greets. “I’m Luca. I’ve heard a lot about you, but Deacon clearly undersold your beauty.”
You say your name quietly, then welcome Luca’s hug. It’s a friendly one, but it breaks the tension and alleviates some of the awkwardness hanging over you.
“Any girlfriend of Deacon’s is a part of the family, so welcome,” Luca adds as he steps back.
“Family, yeah,” the younger man agrees quickly. “We put the fun in dysfunctional.”
“Street,” Deacon sighs, raising his hands in question.
“What? I’m nervous,” Street replies.
“Me too,” you agree with a smile.
“No need to be. We’re harmless, except for Street’s terrible fashion sense. I’m Victor Tan, nice to meet you.”
“You, too.”
You shake his hand before you notice Deacon has taken a step to the side and is talking to the leader of his team, Hondo. You’ve heard about him, but if he took Deacon aside to talk about you, maybe your insecurities about being with Deacon weren’t unfounded or invisible.
Deacon turns back toward you, and when his eyes meet yours, he gets lost in them. Your beauty knocks him off his feet sometimes and makes him forget to speak and breathe, yet he never forgets to tell you or show you that he loves you after that initial moment of losing himself in you, the woman who makes him the luckiest man in the world.
“You could’ve warned us, Deac,” Hondo says.
“About what?” Deacon replies, looking away from you slowly.
“She’s stunning! I don’t remember the last time a woman made me speechless, let alone Street.”
“Make a move on her and I’ll kill you Hondo,” Deacon jokes.
Hondo laughs with Deacon before he says, “I’m glad to see you happy again, brother. It’s been too long.”
“Happy,” Deacon repeats. “Look at her, I’m lucky.”
Hondo taps Deacon’s shoulder and steps past him to greet you. You introduce yourself with a smile that isn’t quite so shy now, and it makes Deacon’s heart pound in his chest. If you’re in the family now, maybe Deacon can finally convince you to see what he sees.
He walks to your side, and when he realizes you’re talking to Luca and Street about your favorite dessert, he smiles and wraps his arm around your waist. You mention that Deacon gets it for you often, and he can only think, look at you. Lucky me.
Tumblr media
“Do you want to dance?” Deacon asks.
The music changes, and you hesitate but lay your hand in his. He leads you to the dance floor and spins you to pull you closer. You laugh in his arms, and it shines brighter than all of the lights above you.
“You’re perfect,” Deacon whispers. You don’t hear him, but he doubts you would have listened anyway.
“Of course you can dance,” you muse, rolling your eyes despite your smile. “Is there anything you can’t do?”
Make you listen when I say you are perfect. “Plenty,” Deacon says.
“Do you think you could dip me?” you ask.
Deacon smiles. Every time he sees you, you seem a bit more confident than before. It’s slow, but as you gain confidence without sacrificing your shy and loveable personality, Deacon reminds you that he’s lucky and that you’re all he will ever want. As you stop arguing, Deacon prays you’re beginning to accept and believe it.
“Oh, I’m the luckiest guy in the world,” Deacon murmurs. “One dip coming up.”
“And if I want to keep dancing?”
“There’s nothing that I wouldn’t do. Don’t care if I look like a fool.”
You smile as Deacon pulls you closer to keep dancing, and for a moment, you believe that Deacon really would do anything. But you still can’t see what about you makes him think he’s lucky to be here with you.
Back at the table, you sit back in your seat and exhale. Time passed quickly with Deacon, and you danced with him until you physically couldn’t spin another time.
“You’re amazing!” you tell Deacon.
“You’re beautiful,” Deacon replies. “But don’t take that, any of what I say, as surface things. It goes miles deeper.”
Your post-dance excitement lowers when you see the seriousness in Deacon’s eyes. You nod, believing him more than ever. He loves you and thinks that he’s lucky to have you. Deacon thinks you are all he has ever wanted. When your smile returns and you whisper thank you, Deacon knows you’re finally seeing it.
Tumblr media
You wake to a voicemail from Deacon. It’s over a minute long, and he left it around 2 a.m. With your lips pressed together and your nerves coming to life in the early morning sunlight, you press play.
“Hey, I know you’re still asleep and I’m sorry to do it like this,” Deacon says. His voice sounds strained, and you close your eyes. “There was a big raid last night. It went downhill and we got called in to assist. Now that we’re here and we’ve got our guy, we’re dealing with the fallout, too. I… I’m leaving for a few days. 20 Squad is assisting the Marshals. I can’t tell you where we’re going or talk to you while I’m gone. But the moment I get back- when I get back, I’m coming to see you. I love you.”
Hondo calls for Deacon in the background of the voicemail before it ends. You release a breath; days without Deacon aren’t what you want, but it’s better than the alternative you considered. There’s no chance that you can go back to sleep now, so you set your phone aside and get out of bed.
You walk past the mirror in your room, then stop. Taking a few steps backward, you turn toward the mirror. The eyes looking back at you aren’t the same ones you saw a few weeks ago. The woman you see now is loved, wanted, and appreciated; she’s beautiful, and the man that she loves feels the same about her. Everything that Deacon has told you – "the way you look tonight has got me thinking I wanna shout it from the rooftops." "I got somebody who’s all that I want, and it’s you." I want you to see what I see" – is in front of the mirror. It’s all in you.
The second realization you make as you meet your own eyes in the mirror is far more impactful. It makes you run into the kitchen to read the card from the first bouquet Deacon sent you, then call his boss. You'll need his help to show Deacon how much he means to you the moment he returns.
Tumblr media
When the team returns from their trip with the Marshals, Hondo walks into HQ first. He looks tired, but he smiles when he sees you. You wave, and he raises a finger. You take that to mean Deacon will be right in.
When Deacon does walk in, he sees you, and his eyes light up. It makes sense now. What does Deacon see in me? What he sees in you is precisely what you see in Deacon.
Deacon drops his bag and speeds up to meet you. He doesn’t ask how you found out when he’d be back; that will come later. For now, he needs you.
“Look at you,” you murmur as he approaches. “Lucky me.”
Deacon smiles, and his eyes are as bright and loving as always. He places his left hand gently on the back of your head and pulls you forward. You smile into the kiss as Deacon relaxes against you. His right hand raises to your jaw as he tilts your chin up, and you loop your arms under his to pull yourself impossibly closer to the man that made you the luckiest woman in the world.
“Woo, Deac!” Hondo exclaims as you pull back.
Deacon presses his forehead to yours and smiles.
“Put a ring on her or I will!” Hondo adds.
“What changed?” Deacon whispers.
“I finally saw what you saw. Everything you said you saw in me – all that you want – is what I see in you, too. Sorry it took me a while to realize,” you answer.
“Lucky me.”

luca fantilli x fem! reader
warnings?: cursing, protected sex, oral m receiving, kissing, fluff

-
you saw your best friend disappear up the stairs as you sat in luca’s lap on the couch. you were proud that she finally grew the balls to talk to mark, let alone fuck him. you shifted in his lap to a more comfortable positions, his arms wrapping around you snuggly as he pressed a light kiss to your shoulder.
you and luca had never shown this much affection in front of so many people. it had been a couple months but you weren’t together, or at least weren’t officially together, but this seemed to be a hint at him wanting more. just like you had been dreaming about for the last few weeks. you were becoming less friend-like and more girlfriend-like.
“baby, do you wanna go somewhere?” he whispers in your ear over the loud music, his thumb rubbing back and forth on your thigh.
“where?”
“you wanna go find that place mark told us about?” he replies smirking and you nod quickly. if there was anything you loved about him, it was how good he made you feel when he fucked you, and you couldn’t wait to add the potential risk of getting caught onto that.
you stood up off his lap, intertwining your fingers as he guided you out the doors into the crisp air of ann arbor.
“he said it was off in the woods.” he replies, his grip on your hand tightening a comfortable amount.
“oh yeah, that’s not terrifying at all.”
“nope.” he giggles in reply, opening his car door for you. he pulled up vaguely directions, arriving to a random empty home, placed conveniently next to a blocked off trail.
“think we found it?” you giggle as he turns the car off.
“i’d say we did.” he replies as he grabs a blanket from his backseat before you both exit the car. you meet him at the front of the car, quickly grabbing onto his hand, the full moon dimly lighting the area enough to see each other clearly.
“it shouldn’t be too far back here.” he states, in a tone you can’t quite place.
“man i hope so. im getting cold.”
“you won’t be cold for long, don’t worry.” he replies, you could hear the smirk on his face as the words rolled off his tongue.
“oh okay.” you reply briefly, a blush creeping onto your cheeks. after a few short minutes, you finally approached the large abandoned outdoor theater.
“wow.” you say, taking in the scene. it was a lot bigger than you thought it would be, wondering why you had never heard of it ever existing. luca moves ahead of you, up a couple of rows of bleachers.
“HA nice.” he laughs.
“what?” you reply, your head snapping up toward the brunette.
“mark ditched a condom here.” he continues as you meet him, looking at the used latex on the ground.
“wow he really did.” you giggle.
“doesn’t shock me, he’s a bit careless sometimes.”
“speaking of, you brought one right?” you ask as he pulls you to him.
“of course i did, i know that’s important to you, so it’s important to me too.” he says leaning down to press a kiss to your lips as your heart fluttered. you take the blanket from his hands, covering the cold metal bleachers with it.
“i don’t know how to do this.” you giggle, not even knowing where to begin with such limited space.
“just relax, i got you baby.” he smiles giggling lightly, attaching your lips, tugging your unzipped jacket off of you. you knew you would end up here with him at some point, so you tended to wear short skirts and dresses to parties, not knowing which day he would’ve selected. it gave him easy access.
“i dressed just for you.” you smile as he gets a look at your outfit. the way his eyes scanned your body soaked your lace panties in an instant.
“fucking god.” he mutters.
“i can lose the top if you want.” you say, referring to the top that rested your tits perfectly.
“oh we’re getting there don’t worry. come here pretty girl.” he says sitting down on the blanket, beckoning you over to him. you climbed into his lap, straddling his hips as you reconnected your lips. his hand slipped under you, grazing your soaked core.
“so wet for me huh?” he says and you nod, “we can get right to it then, you make it so easy for me.”
he says locking eyes with your lust filled ones. you tossed your jacket to the ground, getting down onto your knees. you took the packaged condom out of his hand, carefully tearing it open with your teeth, not once losing eye contact. you unzipped his pants, pulling his throbbing cock out of his pants stroking him a few times.
“christ.” he grunts, looking up at the sky, “been waiting all night for this.”
“me too.” you smile, spitting on his leaking tip, taking him quickly into your mouth. you used your free hand to help you push him along, gagging on his thick cock a moment before pulling him out and jerking him off, pulling the condom out of the package. quickly you rolled the latex onto him, pressing a short kiss to his tip before standing up off your knees. he reaches out, wrapping a hand behind your neck, pulling your lips to his anxiously. you climbed back onto the bench, straddling his thick cock as you sunk onto it, a moan pulling from your throat before your head crashed onto his shoulder.
“fuck, so tight for me.” he says as he grips onto your ass, bouncing you up and down at a steady pace. you moaned as his tip brushed the soft spot inside you. he slowed down as your reached back to unzip your top, freeing your tits from their constraint.
“my fucking god, look at them” he says. quickly, he takes one into his mouth as you grind back and forth on his cock. you whimpered as his swollen cock stretched you out like never before. he was always good but was it EVER like this? not that you could remember.
“god you’re so big.” you whimper, your head nuzzled on the side of his neck. his hands return their grip on your ass, assisting your movements as you started to grow tired. he bounces you quickly up and down on his cock.
“look you pretty like this baby.” he says between his quick breaths, attaching your lips to his as you lifted your head from under his chin.
“lu, i think im getting close.” he says and lifts you lightly off his lap, snapping his hips into you, a yelp leaving your mouth involuntarily. he pounded into you quickly, hitting deeper than before.
“fuck.” you moaned loudly as your grew impossibly closer to your orgasm.
“oh i’m cumming, fuck.” he grunts as his hips stutter, spilling his climax into the condom as your own orgasm washed over you quickly.
“holy fuck.” you sigh out, your head crashing back into his shoulder.
“let’s see how many of these we can leave behind this summer yeah?” he smirks as both of your chests rose and fell heavily. you giggles at his remark, sitting up and locking eyes with him.
“you’re so fucking gorgeous y/n.” he says, a sparkle in his eye a bit brighter than usual.
“thank you handsome.” you say smiling, pressing a loving kiss to his lips. you sat up off his lap, pulling him out of you, yanking the condom off of his slowly softening cock. you tossed it to the ground, starting your own pile on the ground of the row behind you. you put your clothes back on as he tucked himself away. you straddled his lap once again, more innocently this time.
“i think i love you.” you whisper into his jawline as you peppered it with light kisses.
“what’d you say baby?” he says, pulling away, a hopefully gleam in his eyes.
“i said i thi-,” you pause as your heart pounds in your chest, “i- i love you luca.”
he remains silent for a moment as a smile grows on his face. he places a gentle hand in the hair on the back of your neck, pulling your lips to his. this kiss was much more passionate than the many you had shared before. he pulled away slowly, with a wide smile on his face.
“and i love you.” you replies before you hug onto him, never wanting to let go. this moment confirmed everything you had second thoughts about, and now it wasn’t a question as to the status of your relationship.
“we need to go back sweet girl, we gotta go meet mark and see how that went,” he says pressing kisses to your cheek.
“yes let’s go.” you say giggling as you gathered you jacket and walked back to the car, his arm snuggly wrapped around your shoulder. you climb back into the car leaning over the console to kiss him again.
“i can’t believe i get to love you.” he smiles as you slowly pull away.
“says you.” you giggle smacking his chest as he giggles, putting the car in reverse, driving back towards the party, just as busy as you left it.

Tokyo debunker guys as icks
This pretty much only contains Frostheim and Vagastrom ghouls as I'm only at the beginning of chapter 3
Please don't come for me if I ruin your fav
Part 2 is up
Kaito
This is pretty much canon, but he is such a simp that he completely changes his personality and opinions based off what you think/your preferences. He doesn't even try to hide it sometimes. Also, while you're in the talking stage, he will hit on and ask out other girls, then go back to flirting with you as if nothing happened.
Luca
He's way too uptight sometimes - if you ever need to bend the rules a bit (say you want to sneak out of Darkwick to have a day out) you can forget it, especially if your scheme involves him. Obviously he wouldn't tell anyone, but he'd lecture you and look at you disapprovingly.
Tohma
He's way too committed to his role as vice captain, which sometimes leads him to neglecting you accidentally. He'll cancel date plans at the last minute because Jin needed him to do something, and, while he apologises/tries to make up for it later, he doesn't understand why it bothers you so much
Also, he wears a monocle
Jin
He's pretty moody and hard to read, as well as having 0 communication skills, so if something's wrong, you need to ask him about 50 times before he tells you. After an argument, he expects you to apologise immediately if you were in the wrong, but definitely won't do the same in the early stages of the relationship
Leo
He's a walking ick to me. Where do I even start ???
He's just a dick to everyone for no apparent reason, and he thinks he's better than everyone else despite having no redeeming qualities. This would change slightly after you guys start dating, but his sharp tongue wouldn't just magically disappear. If he ever hurts your feelings by mistake, he'd expect to be forgiven without apologising. He's that entitled.
The type to insult you on insecurities/deal low blows during arguments. He feels bad afterwards but what the fuck dude
He'd also show you off on social media to all his followers. While this may seem cute at first, you do get trolls and delusional fans commenting under your posts now, which is something he's entirely dismissive of
Will sometimes use you to make the other ghouls, particularly Kaito, jealous
Sho
Like Jin, I feel like he'd struggle to communicate openly and this would end up with him coming across as mean or cocky/pushing you away at times. However, that is something he tries to work on after the early stages of the relationship
Alan
He's overprotective to a fault. The kind of partner who always accompanies you everywhere to make sure you don't get into trouble and who's willing to throw hands if someone so much as looks at you the wrong way. It's endearing, but it gets you into a lot of unnecessarily uncomfortable situations
Due to how bad he is with technology, he sometimes forgets ro answer messages or leaves you on read by mistake. It's a bit annoying, especially if you want an answer quickly. Early on in the relationship, you learned that you saved more time by going to the Vagastorm dorm and talking in person than by waiting for him to reply

Children Behave (That's What They Say When We're Together), 1/2
AO3
It’s just after 10 pm on a Saturday night when the Party find themselves standing out on the edge of the forest surrounding Lover’s Lake, summoned by the “Code Red” Dustin had sent out half an hour before on their walkies.
“Dustin, seriously…what are we even doing out here?” Max demands with an exasperated flap of her arms as she hops off the back of Lucas’s bike, the pair of them stopping a few feet from the two others already dropped into the grass.
They approach the figures at the treeline quickly, the silhouette of one of Dustin’s many rotating ballcaps and Mike’s black curls–grown out so long they nearly brush his shoulders now–easy to recognize, even in nothing but moonlight.
It’s just the four of them these days, at least until the Byers manage to pack up their house in Lenora and move the family back to Hawkins. The party has been impatiently waiting out the days until summer begins as a collective, Dustin even rigging up a countdown clock that he updates them on every morning before school.
“Yeah, I really wish I knew,” Mike mutters in answer to Max’s question, the pair of them sharing an equally exasperated look, a rare show of solidarity.
“Reconnaissance,” Dustin interrupts, simple and curt, pointing from his position squatted down amongst the greenery. “Look.”
As one, Lucas and Max turn to follow the direction of his finger–where Steve’s familiar maroon BMW sits, about a stone's throw from Reefer Rick’s place.
“That’s…weird,” Lucas admits. “What’s Steve doing out here?”
“That’s what I’m trying to find out,” Dustin explains. “Steve wasn’t answering his walkie. He always picks up, he knows the Rule of Law.”
“How’d you even know to look for him out here, then?” Max asks, brow furrowed in confusion.
“Through the powers of deduction, my dear Mayfield,” Dustin replies, voice purposefully affected. “Something’s afoot. Of the Upside Down variety.”
Even the mere suggestion is enough to make the other three teens stiffen, casting wary glances at the darkened forest around them.
“Vecna’s dead,” Mike says, voice threaded through with sudden tension.
“And El closed all the rifts in Hawkins,” Lucas insists.
“She did,” Max agrees immediately, coming to the defense of both Lucas and El simultaneously.
“How many times have we said that before?” Dustin asks.
Max, Lucas, and Mike all share a cowed, anxious look.
“I’m just saying, it never hurts to stay hypervigilant. Especially around here. Don’t forget, Steve and the others tried to leave us behind, in this very spot, the last time.”
“Yeah, but…it wasn’t like we didn’t know what was going on then,” Lucas says defensively. “They would tell us, if Vecna was back.”
“That’s because we,” Dustin gestures emphatically between himself and Max, “were the ones to figure it out in the first place!”
“Come on, Dustin, he’s probably just…with some girl.” Mike’s face twists in a way that makes it clear exactly what he thinks of that. “I mean, it is Steve.”
“He’s not on a date, Mike,” Dustin rolls his eyes, his snippy tone implying the very suggestion is absurd. “Because if he was on a date, he would have told me. You think he would have missed the opportunity to brag about some hot Saturday night out he had planned? No. Besides, Steve tells me everything.”
“And yet…” Lucas holds up a finger, with the gravitas of someone interjecting in a court of law, “you still continue to insist he and Robin are dating, despite the fact that Steve’s told you a thousand times they’re not.”
“That’s not the same thing. It’s not my fault Steve’s too emotionally stunted he can’t recognize his own feelings for what they are,” Dustin waves a hand dismissively.
“They’re definitely not dating, dude,” Max says with a certainty that makes the boys’ heads swivel in unison to look at her, like she possesses some secret knowledge none of the rest are privy to yet. She ignores them, instead taking the binoculars from Dustin without so much as a question.
“It’s called Lover’s Lake,” Mike points out petulantly, “it’s literally a make out spot!”
“And the exact location of a former gate,” Dustin argues with just as much fervor. “Which Steve knows. Why would he be out here if it wasn’t because of something connected with the Upside Down?”
“I hate to break it to you,” Max interrupts, still peering through the binoculars, a slight smirk unfurling across her face, “but it looks like Steve’s definitely on a date.”
“What the fuck?!” Dustin squawks. “Let me see!”
As Max and Dustin begin a spirited game of keepaway with the binoculars, Lucas cranes his neck curiously.
“Ew,” Mike’s face screws up in exaggerated disgust.
“What?!” Lucas’s shoulders scrunch up towards his ears, defensive. “Don’t act like you don’t wanna know.”
“I definitely don’t, dude.”
“Admit it. You’re just mad because he didn’t tell you.” As she continues taunting Dustin, the corner of Max’s mouth tilts into a teasing grin. “Busybody.”
“Listen to what your boyfriend is saying, Max, and see reason. We need to find out if Steve and Robin finally got their shit together!”
“I already told you, they are so not dating,” Max rolls her eyes. “Besides, whoever he’s got in there with him? Has dark, curly hair. That sound like Robin to you?”
“Curly?” Lucas’s eyebrows shoot up. “Wait, you don’t think it’s–”
“Nancy?!” Mike gasps, completely scandalized.
“No, but I thought–Jonathan,” Dustin darts a confused look at Mike. “Unless…I was right, and they’re out here investigating something! I mean, come on, it’s Steve and Nancy. That sounds exactly like the kind of guns blazing thing that they would do.”
“It didn’t look like they were investigating,” Max mutters, “at least…not anything that wasn’t already inside the car.”
Whether it’s that last comment that sets him off is unclear, but from one blink to the next, Mike is suddenly charging out of the woods towards the car.
“Wait a second, Mike!” Max shouts, on his heels immediately.
One fleeting look between Dustin and Lucas is all it takes to send them rushing after the pair.
None of them is fast enough to catch up to his gangly gait, however, especially not with Mike Wheeler on a mission. In moments, he’s right on top of the Beemer, slapping an open palm impatiently against the window.
“Steve? Nancy?!” he shouts in petulant, disbelieving teenage outrage as the two figures inside spring apart. “Holy shit, is that you? Open the door!”
The question is followed by the sound of muffled cursing, and, apparently deciding the pair isn’t moving fast enough, Mike yanks repeatedly at the handle on the passenger side.
He’s nearly knocked backwards into Lucas, the other three having caught up, when the door finally pushes open under his hand.
"Nancy?!" he repeats in a screech to rival even Dustin’s loudest as the dark, disheveled curly hair they'd already spotted comes more clearly into view.
"Uh…" a deep, familiar voice pipes up, "sorry to disappoint, but–I'm definitely not Wheeler."
"Oh my God, you guys have gotta be fucking kidding me," Steve’s voice pipes up, and then he lets out a full-bodied groan, leaning across the console and pinning them all under his glare.
He's wearing his 'seriously pissed off' face, which is about two shades more intense than his 'pretending to be pissed off for the sake of saving face and riling them up' face. And at his side sits none other than…
Eddie Munson, who blinks over at them with wide brown eyes.

After a tumultuous holiday season, it doesn’t take long for Sydney to realize that her friend is in need of a little help. A reprieve, she so kindly explained to both Marcus and Carmy when she’d proposed the idea.
It was Sydney this time, who called Luca, knowing that she and Carmy would have to find something to do with Marcus. It wasn’t fair – that he’d lost his mom just before Thanksgiving – and they both agreed that Marcus needed to get out of dodge. Quick to act, Carmy set up a few stages in NYC for a week or so, which, while seemed to inspire Marcus, seemed to only plunge him further into a slump come Christmas. “I don’t know. I think we gotta send him on some kinda… eat, pray, love trip. The guy can only sulk on my couch for so long before I consider jumping out of the window,” Sydney says, her attempt to lighten the mood with humor still genuine. “It’s getting sad, Carm. Like… real fuckin’ sad.”
“You’re right. Uh… what about Copenhagen?” Carmy pitches with a shrug, because he knows what all consuming grief feels like.
“Again?” she asks, uncertain of whether it’s the best choice that they could make.
“Yeah,” Carmy shrugs in response. “Think he got a lot of it last time. Could be good for him to go back to somewhere familiar… work with Luca again. You don’t think it’s a-?”
“No I do! I just-,” Sydney hesitates, though she knows her business partner makes a good point. “Familiarity will be good for him. To be around people he can trust.”
“You want me to uh-,” Carmy begins to offer, figuring he’ll make the call.
“Probably best if I explain the situation. Just ‘cause, you know, I know more of what’s going on… just send me his info and I’ll call later,” Sydney interjects.
Carmy agrees with a curt nod before adding in:
“Uh… okay yeah. Yeah.”
*
You get plenty of time to prepare for Marcus’ visit, performing all kinds of fancy footwork to arrange a proper visit – a week’s worth of time spent staging and living in Copenhagen. When Luca finds out that the prolific houseboat, a chef retreat of sorts that’s always been an option for lodging, is booked for the week and a half that Marcus plans on visiting, you offer up your place without hesitation.
The arrangement goes as follows: while Marcus stays at yours at no cost, you’ll stay with Luca for the duration of the time.
This is how you find yourself at the massive Ikea on Dybbølsbro on a Saturday morning with Luca, in search of a set of fresh bed linens intended for guests.
“I really should host more. And Astrid said she and Lina were planning a trip out here so… why not kill two birds with one stone?” you’d reasoned to your boyfriend, making a strong case for why you and Luca should make this little shopping trip.
“What do you think of the blue?” Luca asks you, as you run your hand over a set of the display sheets, checking for softness.
“Don’t know if the blue is what I’m going for. I was thinking of something warmer. Maybe a yellow or… I don’t know. I’ve kind of been into that trendy rust color as of late,” you reply with a shrug, moving onto the warmer colors.
Luca chuckles and with a small shake of his head, he clarifies his previous questions with:
“No, I meant for me.”
“What do you mean?” you ask him curiously, his comment pulling all of your focus as you search his face for answers. “You just got new bedding.”
And expensive ones too.
But as your eyes follow his gaze, you realize that he’s not talking about sheets, focused on the XL Twin-sized duvets just above where the sheets messily fall along the shelf.
“I was thinking…” Luca trails off, checking in with you before he continues, with “... maybe it’s time I get two duvets… you know… for us.” He takes a beat, and a step towards you, and you know you’ll never stand a chance against his boyish charm as one side of his mouth turns up into a smile.
You’re no stranger to the Scandinavian duvet method – two twin duvets for one king sized bed – but it sounds like Luca’s suggestion is about way more than buying an extra duvet on this trip.
“I want you to feel at home… at my place."
“I do,” you reply, almost instantly, a warmth spreading through your belly as you take a step towards him.
“But I mean really… feel like it’s your home. Because it is. It could be. You know… if you want it to be,” Luca continues, this time with more insistence, a look of hopefulness in his deep blue eyes.
“Are you… are you asking me to move in with you?” you manage to get out, your heart skipping a beat.
“Why not? We could use this week to try it out,” he suggests so casually that you practically have to do a double take. “See how it goes while Marcus stays at your place?”
“Yeah I-... that sounds like a good plan, yeah,” you stammer out, the grin on your face undeniable as you nod enthusiastically in the middle of a goddamn furniture store.
“Besides,” Luca says, clearing his throat as his tone changes to one that’s much more playful. “You’re an absolute blanket hog and a repeat offender at that.” Luca winks your way as you roll your eyes with a laugh in response. “This could prevent some of our silly little quarrels, don’t you think, love?”
“Uh huh,” you sound, your face skeptical as you look his way again. “Preventative measures. Sure, babe.”
Luca chuckles before leaning down to press a chaste kiss to your lips, right then and there, in the Ikea bed linen section, the place you’ll now forever think of as the place your boyfriend asked you to move in with him.
Connection
When Marcus arrives in Copenhagen, you’ve arranged your home with the most comfort in mind, having already packed a week’s worth of things and left for Luca’s. You can only imagine what he must be going through, deciding that something like that – losing your mother – though inevitable, is your goddamn worst nightmare.
“Marcus,
Enjoy your stay and please reach out if you need anything. I can’t wait to meet you!”
…is the note that you leave him, along with a few morning pastries you picked up from your favorite baggeri across the street, and your number scribbled down at the bottom of the notepad.
As Marcus arrives, his eyes drawn immediately to your note and gift, Marcus smiles to himself, noticing that you left a very nice looking bottle of wine on the counter as well. He’s moved by your generosity, considering you’ve never met, and the fact that you’re willing to take so much care, extend this much kindness to a stranger, causes a wave of softness to wash over him.
Maybe, just maybe, he can find softness again – the last few months riddled with pain, grief, and numbness to get through the days.
While he came here to work, encouraged by his friends that a change of scenery may do his broken heart some good, it’s the first time Marcus has had a chance to be still. His feelings of grief sit heavier here and it catches him off guard, uncertain that he’s quite ready to sit with them yet. He pushes aside the thought, focusing on exploring your home and unpacking his bags. Marcus knows how to stay busy – he’s become an expert at it by now – reminding himself that he’s got work at 5 am sharp tomorrow.
*
“A little too much, chef. Take it down by about 15 grams,” Luca directs, his voice even and sure as he inspects the balls of dough that Marcus currently shapes.
“Yes, chef,” Marcus nods in understanding, plopping the ball of dough back on the scale to adjust the measurement.
The two of them work like this for the rest of the morning, Luca treading carefully while keeping things professional, while Marcus buries himself in the work – something that feels good, safe, right.
He’s missed this. While Marcus has one chef he works with directly at the restaurant, he’s the expert – the head patissier. He misses being surrounded by excellence, getting to be a student of someone who is just as driven, if not more, and inspired. It’s good, quiet, calm, yet there’s a focus and intensity in Luca’s kitchen that feels like a breath of fresh air.
His stage trip to New York has been more of a mess than beneficial. Maybe it had been the chaos of the city, or the chaos of the chefs he was working with. Maybe it was the fact that Marcus, though hungry for a distraction, hadn’t quite been ready to walk directly into the line of fire yet.
As Marcus’ practiced hands move with the dough, there’s a newfound confidence in the way that he works that's not lost on Luca. Luca watches his friend carefully, pride swelling in his chest as his mentee makes the adjustment with ease and diligence.
“Can I join you?” Luca asks, gesturing towards Marcus' workstation.
“‘Course, chef,” Marcus replies, his response short yet reverent.
As Luca joins him, finding a space to the right of Marcus, he busies his hands with rolling each perfectly measured ball of dough into mini boules, ready to proof. The two of them work quietly, side by side, the air between them heavy with words unsaid. He can feel it – the weight that lays so heavily on Marcus' heart – but Luca doesn’t want to bring it up, uninterested in forcing the conversation. Especially about something so painful, something he knows that Marcus has barely begun working through.
“Thanks, again. For uh… you know… letting me come work,” Marcus begins, momentarily checking in with Luca to gauge a reaction.
“‘Course,” Luca replies, his answer instantaneous. “You’re welcome here any time, mate.”
“Yeah?” Marcus asks, stealing a glance in Luca’s direction.
“Yeah,” Luca responds with a certain nod.
“And uh… shit. I can’t thank your girlfriend enough for letting me crash at her place,” Marcus adds, as he works through his discomfort and overwhelm from the wave of feelings that begin to bubble up in his chest.
“You can thank her yourself on Saturday,” Luca brings up, excited over the fact that Marcus will not only be meeting his girlfriend, but staging at her restaurant too. “She’s really looking forward to meeting you.”
Marcus nods slowly, his hands the only steady thing about him as he continues to focus on his work.
“I just mean-, well, she didn’t have to-. ‘S not like either of you owed it to me or anything and I-. You guys just really came through…” Marcus trails off, wanting to make his gratitude clear. It means more to him that he can articulate so instead he settles for, “So thank you. Again.”
Luca shrugs with an aplomb about him as he returns with, “We got you, mate.” He pauses before continuing, fully aware that Marcus isn’t quite comfortable with the feelings that have presented themself in this moment. “And the way I see it, I wouldn’t have met her if it weren’t for you – for our conversation the last time you were here – so we really do owe you for it.”
This time Luca makes an effort to check in with Marcus, gauging his emotional capacity as he concludes with:
“But that’s not what any of this is about: debts, who owes who what. We were both more than happy to host you. That’s what mates are for.”
It’s not till the end of the next shift that it hits him, and Marcus finds himself sitting outside of the restaurant on a bench across the street. He’s not sure whether it’s the jet lag or the exhaustion of the 5 am start time in another time zone, but it hits him all at once, like a ton of bricks. Suddenly consumed with the feelings that he’s been trying his best to avoid, all he can do is pause, completely caught off guard by the strength of them.
Quietly, Luca joins him, having spotted him on his way home, rerouting himself in Marcus’ direction instead.
All he can think of are the words you’ve asked him, and he you, time and time again – the ones that cut right to the core of you each and every time – that show you how much he cares.
“How’s your heart?” Luca asks Marcus, after a few minutes of sitting on the bench together in silence.
And how is his heart?
He’s not sure how to answer, considering it’s been a while since he’s really had a chance to check in, the crippling reality of this great loss is too much to bear alone.
His heart is broken, shattered into an infinite amount of pieces.
He, and his heart will never be the same again and he doesn’t know where or how he’ll ever put it back together.
His heart is… lost, in desperate need of finding a soft place to land.
Marcus takes a while to answer, racking his brain for any semblance of a cohesive answer.
He waits. And then he waits.
Until finally, he can answer.
“I uh… don’t know. But I’m hoping this trip will help me figure that out.”
Creativity
“do you remember the 21st night of september? love was changin' the minds of pretenders while chasin' the clouds away.” (earth, wind, and fire.)
Everything about the way you run your kitchen feels different than what he’s used to.
It’s sure as hell different from his last stage trip to New York, Marcus thinks to himself.
With Carmy and Syd, working with them, there’s a buzz of chaos that runs underneath even the most organized and efficient service. It’s something integral to what they have, gives an edge to The Bear that seems to make it hum in all the right ways. Even with Luca, who comes from fine dining and Michelin-starred restaurants, there’s a quiet and determined focus – an intensity to his work – even without the undercurrent of chaos.
But this. But you.
Your kitchen somehow teeters the line of organized chaos and reckless play so well that Marcus understands why this works – why it’s efficient.
Still, he watches as you and your staff dance – no, literally dance – around each other to the highly recognizable Earth, Wind, and Fire tune. Mathilde sings along while chopping chives for the brothy mushroom grain bowl, while, mid-phrase, manages to yell out a short command to a line cook in Danish. Out of the corner of his eye, Marcus catches Jesper working the dining room, while you finish plating two more dishes, ready to be walked out.
It’s as if you find focus in the center of all the noise, somewhere between the electric energy between you, Mathilde, and your staff, and the feel-good vibes and homeyness of the restaurant that you’ve created.
You had been more than welcoming when Marcus had walked through the doors of your restaurant, Kokuore, mere hours ago. You’d given him the tour, shown him which station he’d be working this evening, then warmly introduced him to your entire team before family meal started. Marcus can’t stop moving, too afraid to be still in fear of falling apart in the presence of how comforting you’ve been.
And this? Your kitchen. It’s all joy, connection, and artistry.
It’s not hard for him to see why Luca fell in love with you.
“Marcus, feel free to take a break,” he hears you say, as you nod towards the dining room through the open kitchen.
As Marcus follows your gesture, he notices that Luca’s arrived, remembering something about a standing Saturday date.
“You sure, chef?” Marcus asks, looking to you for approval.
“Positive,” you nod, reassuringly.
Marcus nods in return to confirm, before taking his apron off and making his way over to the dining room where Luca is exchanging a few words with Jesper.
“Wassup, chef,” he greets his mentor.
“You know, you can call me Luca,” Luca reminds him with a crooked smile. “At least when we’re off the clock.”
Marcus chuckles, “Uh… yeah alright. That’s gonna take some getting used to.”
Luca chuckles in return, before Jesper shows them to his table, mentioning something about Americans being so afraid of fluidity.
“She’s brilliant isn’t she?” Luca asks, in reference to you as his eyes catch yours from across the room.
“Nah for real. Like… mad scientist vibes,” Marcus concurs with a smile. “She can throw down for sure.” He pauses as they sit down at Luca’s table. “So you come every Saturday night, huh?”
“When I can, yeah, which is… most Saturdays,” Luca replies honestly, before beginning to list why he’s kept up this routine. “But it’s nice. Keeps me inspired. I get to see my girl, walk her home at night which makes me feel better.” Luca leans back in his chair this time, crossing his arms over his chest. “And I never mind helping close down at the end of the night.”
Marcus hums in response before one of the waitstaff comes to their table, with a glass of wine in hand, on the house. They chat for a little longer before Marcus returns to the kitchen, his excitement for what you’re doing here filling him to the brim.
As dinner service comes to an end, Marcus can’t help but notice the chemistry and how unique it is as you all work together in perfect harmony. There’s a warmth to it, something different, and he begins to understand why the name of the restaurant comes from the word, heart.
Luca is quick to get up from his table, quickly finishing his glass of wine as he offers to help close down. The music volume goes from underscoring the buzz of a busy night of service, to the main attraction, as a motown throwbacks playlist begins to blare from the speakers. You all work quickly and efficiently, eager to close down, get home, and begin your weekends, but it’s when an old Otis Redding track that Luca decides to put a pause on the progress.
“Dance with me, my love,” he says, offering his hand out to you as a huge gesture that earns a few looks and giggles from some of your staff.
“Luca,” you begin to protest, looking around.
“You can take three minutes,” he offers, exchanging a look with you this time.
You nod, taking his hand as you agree with, “Okay.”
And as Luca wraps you up in his arms, engaging you in a slow dance to Otis Redding’s “That’s How Strong my Love is,” you chuckle, relaxing into him.
“Oh, get a room, you two!” Jesper calls out after you, teasingly.
“She pretends – always puts up a fight – as if they don’t do this every single week,” Mathilde adds, as an explanation to Marcus.
“Every week?” Marcus asks, a little surprised by both you and Luca’s willingness to pause and revel in a moment with each other, instead of just pushing through.
“Yeah. Romantics, they are,” Jesper chimes in.
Marcus smiles to himself. It’s a reminder of slowness – something he hasn’t let himself experience in a long time – and for just a moment, he lets himself settle into the feeling.
*
You don’t even mind that you woke up an hour before your alarm the moment you feel Luca’s arms wrapped around you, and his lips against your soft skin. The low rumble of his voice resonates across your shoulders, sending chills down your spine as you arch into his hands, his arms wrapped around you.
“I know we’re only a few days in… of our little trial,” Luca begins, the bass of his voice reverberating through your shoulder blade.
“Our living together trial?” you clarify with your ask, letting out a gasp as he nibbles on your shoulder gently.
“Yeah. Just wonderin’ where your mind’s at,” Luca murmurs, his eager hands beginning to explore underneath the oversized shirt you put on before bed last night.
“Well… I really like this,” you reply, the sound that comes out of your mouth somewhere between a giggle and a moan.
“Hmmmm?” Luca sounds, innocently.
“This… Waking up to you thing.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Mhm.”
Luca’s name escapes your lips as his fingers gently begin to play with your nipples, his erection hard against your back as you begin to grind your hips back against.
“And the access to round the clock sex is really a bonus,” you sigh, blissfully.
“Oh yeah?” he asks you again, a large tatted hand slipping between your legs.
“Yeah… I’d even be… interested in leaning into that part… right now,” you hiss in reply to his touch. “Considering you’re distracting me with sex.”
“Hmmmmm. ‘S not just it, love. Have I told you how grateful I am for what you’ve done for Marcus?” Luca asks, his mouth back on your neck. He presses your body against him, your back to his chest as he rocks his hips against yours.
“Luca!” you protest, unable to focus on the conversation.
“It’s your kindness. Your heart… I’m in awe of it,” he continues to praise you as the two of you begin to set a rhythm between your bodies.
It’s all heat, and soft sighs of pleasure, and foreplay.
“Well, I know a little something about what he’s going through,” you answer breathlessly. You begin to impatiently push the hem of your shirt higher so that you can give Luca more access to your body.
“That’s why I love you,” Luca murmurs into your skin, his hands all over you, his focus unbroken and your mind beginning to go blank. His hands are tearing your shirt over your head as he continues to praise you. “Your heart, the way you share it.”
“You helped me get there, baby,” you gasp, turning your head so that you can kiss your boyfriend.
Instead of answering, Luca nods knowingly, before crashing his lips into yours. His mouth on yours feels like heaven, and you can’t believe that you ever fought your feelings for him.
“Ah fuck it. Let’s do it. Let’s move in together,” you surrender to him, lost in the moment.
“Yeah?” Luca pauses, pulling away, as if almost can’t believe what he’s hearing.
“Yeah. I mean it, baby,” you nod, catching his gaze, certain in the way you answer. “I wanna wake up to you every morning.”
“Me too, my love,” Luca grins, before pressing his lips to yours again. “Now will you please let me fuck you, darling?”
“Fuck yes.”
Luca spends the next hour showing you just how grateful he is for you, while you in return, spend the next hour showing him just how sure you are about this decision.
And you are sure. If mornings like this are a constant for the rest of your life, you think you’ll die a happy woman.
You’ve found a home in him, and he, you. He’s the person you want to come home to at the end of the day. He’s the man that puts a smile on your face every single time he gets on his soapbox about how Beyonce is the performer of your lifetimes, and he is unequivocally the best, most unexpected thing in your life.
Luca Davies, in almost a year of knowing him, and eight months of getting to love him, has somehow become your favorite person.
By the time you and Luca are both showered and decent-for-company, you’ve begun your mise en place for brunch, completely content with the fact that you’re running a little behind schedule (and in all fairness, the sex was worth it – it’s always worth it). The smell of bacon sizzling away on your carbon steel fry pan fills the entire apartment, and you’re glad that Luca opened a window earlier. It’s not exactly window weather yet, but the air ventilation is a must when it comes to smoked meats.
While you play catch up with your brunch plan, Luca’s busy welcoming Marcus in, pouring him a cup of coffee using the extensive ten-step pour over he’s been fixated on ever since he purchased it, while they chat here and there about what else he’s explored in Denmark.
“Been too busy working, to be honest but… I don’t know. I might wander around today… see what kind of stuff I can get into,” Marcus answers frankly with a shrug.
“Ah, mate. We just had a walk at the Frederiksberg Gardens. Definitely something I’d recommend checking out,” Luca suggests, his eyes lighting up with excitement as he mentions it.
Luca continues moving through his list of recommendations, Marcus chiming in with places and things he did the last time he was here, excited to spend a few days exploring the city instead of just working.
“Wanderin’ around. I dunno. There’s something about it. ‘S good for the spirit, you know?” Luca concludes.
“Yeah,” Marcus nods in agreement, before turning his attention over to the French toast you’re working on. “Okay, I see you. What is that? Mascarpone?”
“Yeah, good eye. It’s just something new I’m working on: a mascarpone stuffed french toast. We’re actually talking about extending our hours… maybe doing weekend brunch,” you answer thoroughly, as you dip the stuffed pieces of bread into their egg batter, pre-cook.
“For real? That’s sick,” Marcus compliments, watching you carefully. “I mean… shit. You could have a whole brunch spot.”
“What do you mean?” you ask, looking up from your cutting board.
“A Brunch spot,” Marcus repeats, simply, the excitement in his eyes at the new idea, evident. “Yeah, you know. Luca could do the morning pastries. You work your magic on the rest of the menu.”
“That’s a novel idea! What do you think, my love?” Luca asks, intrigue in his voice as he searches your face for a reaction.
“I-,” you begin, looking from Luca to Marcus, then back to Luca again. “I… never thought about it like that.” You take a beat, eyeing Luca carefully. “We’ve never talked about going into business together.”
Marcus shrugs, before picking up his coffee mug, “Yo, it’s just a thought. I think you two would be unstoppable together.”
“Unstoppable, eh?” Luca asks, his eyes locked with yours.
You only hum in response, raising a quirked eyebrow in Luca’s direction before adding:
“It’s certainly one hell of an idea, Marcus.”
Kokuore
Monday afternoon, you find yourself at your restaurant with Marcus Brooks, on a day off.
“I might need a little extra help with something tomorrow. We’re closed tomorrow, but I want to get ahead on this special I’m working on. Could use the help of a pastry chef. What do you say?” you’d proposed to him, over one more espresso before he left.
To Luca’s dismay, (“ you silly Americans just can’t enjoy a day of doing nothing,” he’d teased the two of you) Marcus had given you an unwavering yes, reassuring you that he was down to learn everything he possibly could from you, especially while he was here.
And it’s true. You do need the help. But should he want someone to talk to – someone who gets it, even just a little bit – you want to offer him the space and the opportunity to do so.
“As a patissier, do you get tasked with pasta? At The Bear?” you ask Marcus, as you pleat a dumpling in hand with a speed that only comes with practice.
“Nah,” Marcus sounds, his focus on the dumpling he’s pleating too. His concentration on getting the pleats right is reverent and unbroken, even as he answers your question. “Our head chef, Carmy, he uh… he comes from an Italian American family so when we’ve done a stuffed pasta… he usually takes the lead on that.”
You nod in understanding, placing the dumpling you’ve just finished down on the full-sized sheet pan. The two of you sit across from each other, having pushed a few dining tables together as a makeshift workstation.
“Think Luca’ll take over this kinda stuff when you guys open a restaurant together?” Marcus asks, lightheartedly pushing his agenda from yesterday.
You laugh in response, your hands working quickly on yet another dumpling.
“For someone with no skin in the game, you’re really insistent on this idea,” you tease him in return.
“Don’t tell me you’ve never thought about it,” Marcus pushes right back, his tone still light.
“I…” you sigh, trailing off as you pause your work for a moment. “You know, we just said we’d move in together. That and a restaurant? Feels fast.”
“Oh shit.”
“Yeah.”
“Like… a few hours before you came over for brunch,” you elaborate, earning a whistle from Marcus. The two of you exchange a look, and a laugh, as you pick up another dumpling wrapper that you and Marcus rolled out together earlier.
“It’s a good idea though,” you add, stealing a glance his way so that he knows that you’re serious.
“Well, when you two inevitably do open a restaurant… I want ten percent,” Marcus jokes, earning another laugh from you.
“Deal,” you agree with him.
You and Marcus work like this, exchanging a few words, the conversation light, underscored by a softer acoustic soundtrack from one of your Spotify radio stations.
“So how’d you learn to cook like this?” Marcus asks you curiously.
“Uh…” you hesitate, treading carefully as you realize this conversation could open a can of worms.
“I don’t know how much Luca’s told you about me… but I was married… before him,” you begin, cautiously. “And… well, I learned a lot of this… a lot of traditional Japanese cooking from my mother-in-law.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. These are her dumplings actually – her recipe. She passed away last Fall and… well, it was important to me to celebrate her – to celebrate her life – by creating a few dishes for her,” you continue, and it’s as if all of the air has been sucked out of the room. “We’re bringing this one back as a special this month but um… yeah. I’m… still very much grieving and… it helps me remember her. Cooking her food helps me feel close to her, you know?”
“Yeah,” Marcus sighs, his heart heavy as he exhales.
He waits a beat.
And then another, having paused his work as he watches you pleat, head down, with expert hands.
The silence between you and Marcus is full, heavy, connected by shared experience. You wait for Marcus to say something, and when he doesn’t, you decide to continue.
“This restaurant… has so much of my heart in it: it’s got my love for Italian food from growing up in my best friend’s family’s restaurant, and it’s got my love for her – for Aiko – and everything she taught me,” you begin to explain. “And lately… it’s got a fresh perspective… inspired by the love I have with Luca, I think. Well, I know. Inspired by him… how this place brought us together.”
“The name itself is… totally made up, but means a lot to me. The Japanese word for heart is, kokoro, and the Italian word for heart is, cuore. Somehow an homage to my past… and was… Prophetic in so many ways too.”
As Marcus listens, Luca’s previous question lingers in his head:
How’s your heart?
At the time he didn’t know how to answer, and after five days in Copenhagen – after five days of doing what he loves in a place that he loves – his heart is somehow so full, yet so broken all at once. He’s filled with deep sorrow and with the spark of creativity all at the same time, and he’s just not sure how to hold all of this feeling inside of him.
Marcus waits a beat, opens his mouth, then lets the words fall out.
“It’s evident. In your food,” is all he manages to say. “It’s got soul. It’s got heart. I-, it’s inspiring. That’s for sure.”
“I made a dish. For Michael,” Marcus adds, his eyes on the dumpling he works on, but the guard on his heart beginning to fall away. “He was uh… well, he was the old owner of the restaurant, called The Beef back then. Carmy took over after he died. Felt right to honor him and his life, you know? When we reopened as The Bear.”
“Food is… it’s our art, you know?” you agree. “Sometimes it’s the only way I know how to express myself and… sometimes it’s just the thing that makes sense.”
“Yeah.”
A beat.
“Maybe one day I can make one for my mom,” Marcus says, his voice stuck in his throat as he admits, “I don’t know if I’m ready yet. But I think… I think I’d like to eventually.”
“Of course,” you reassure him gently. “You don’t have to be ready now. You don’t have to be ready ever. But when you are, your art will always be there.”
“Thanks,” Marcus nods solemnly.
You get up this time, realizing the sheet pan is full, and ready to be placed on the baker’s rack. As you return to the table with a new empty sheet pan, lined with parchment paper, Marcus finally asks you, his eyes soft, the heartbreak in them present.
“How’d you get through? You know. Losing her? Your mother-in-law?”
You return to your chair with a heavy sigh.
“I’ll let you know when I do,” you answer, letting up a soft chuckle. “It helps to have good people and… from what Luca’s told me, you do. But… I had to let ‘em in, let ‘em help me. Let ‘em love me. And in all honesty, most days I’m still just… taking it day by day.”
“Yeah, I-. I do. I got some really good people. Back home,” Marcus drags out slowly.
“Then that’s all that matters. Your people and your heart. The rest… you just-,” you start.
“Take day by day?” Marcus interjects, pausing to catch your eyes.
You and Marcus exchange a knowing look, the recognition of each others’ pain is met with empathy.
“Yeah. I think that's all we can do.”
By the end of your work session with Marcus, you’re ready to head home so that you can spend the rest of the day with Luca.
“What’re you gonna do with the rest of your day?” you ask Marcus, curiously.
With a sigh, and then a shrug, and a heart that feels just a little lighter, he answers with:
“Think I might wander around a bit. Someone once told me it’s good for the spirit.”

Masterlist
Summary: You're surprised by a bruised sailor and tasked to patch him up. Warnings: Mentions of blood and Steve Pairing: Steve Harrington x reader A/N: I have returned! Missed you guys and I hope you enjoy the new fic!
This fic is set after season 3's finale. I did a similar fic prompt last year but I wanted to change reader and Steve's dynamic.
P/N is pet name 😁
Dustin looked at you with pleading eyes as did the rest of the group. You sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose between your fingers as you stepped aside so they could drag the bloodied sailor into your living room and, not so gently, throw hm upright onto the sofa.
You weren’t annoyed that they brought him here. At this point this was a regular summer experience. Once it was mentioned that you had first aid training and parents who were both doctors, suddenly in the eyes of Steve and the ragtag group of youths, you were a god at anything medical. After finding out about all crazy things that were happening in Hawkins, the group decided you were the perfect alternative to showing up at the hospital and having to make excuses for why their adult friend was covered in injuries, again.
You were worried about Steve. The number of times that he had shown up to your house after getting himself into another insane situation is becoming almost too common. From the day he showed up covered in injuries after Byers beat him up, something to this day Steve will deny ever happened and that he totally won that fight.
“What the hell happened?” You stared down with concern at Steve who was slumped over.
“Mindflayer.” Lucas replied.
“Mind-a-what now?” You shook your head, realizing you were getting off topic. “Never mind. Guys he needs an actual doctor. These injuries are way worse than the usual fix ups I do for him.”
“He asked us to bring him here Y/N. He wanted you to fix him up.” Dustin looked at you with puppy dog eyes. Steve had taught him well.
You let out another sigh “Fine. You guys must all be exhausted, go home. I’ll take care of Steve, okay?” Dustin looked over at Steve with a worried expression.
You place your hand on top of Dustin head, ruffling his hair lightly that, as always, is under one of his many hats.
“Dustin, he’ll be okay. When have I ever let you down with this stuff?”
“Never.”
“Eeeexactly.” You smiled “I’ll make sure he’s looking brand new by tomorrow, okay?” Dustin gave a toothless grin in response.
“Now seriously, get your butt’s home before your parents get worried.”
“Good luck, Y/N!” Dustin yelled as he walked out of the front door, the rest of the group following close behind.
“I got this, don’t worry!” You reply, watching as the chaos crew entered the back of Steves car. You were wondering who managed to drive them all here before clocking the identical sailor outfit to Steves.
Robin Buckley sat in the driver’s seat, waving at you as the last of the group climbed into the vehicle and shut the back door of Steve's car.
You weren’t close with Robin in the beginning since you only occasionally past her in the halls at Hawkins high, but ever since she began scooping ice cream with Steve, and would join in on your playful bullying of Steve when you'd visit him at work, did you both grow closer as friends.
You walk over to the car and lean down so your eye to eye with Robin.
“Since when did you learn to drive?” You asked.
“Since never. All the towns’ police are kind of occupied by the mall fire, so I’m making the most of it” You let out a giggle in response.
“Steve taught me the basics in the mall car park once time, so I think I’ve got it.”
“She stalled the car multiple times on the way over here”.
Robin turned around to look at the culprit. “Do you want to walk home?” You laughed as Dustin slowly sunk back into his seat; hands raised in surrender “I’ll shut up”.
“Alright guys, get home safe.” you smiled, tapping the top of the car as you stood up.
“What? with Robin driving?”
“Last chance Dustybun, or I’m making you walk”. Robin mocked him in response, turning the ignition and starting the car engine.
“Sorry, sorry last time promise”
You walked back to the house, giggling over the bickering group as they, with a little bit of difficulty, drove away. Once the car was out of your sight you entered your home and shut the door, locking it behind you.
You walk towards the couch, crouching down so you are facing eye level with Steve. You reach your hand out and gently remove a strand of hair that was covering his face. You smile softly at his sleeping form. Even though he was all bruised and bloody this was probably the most relaxed you had seen him in a while.
“Even when you’re a bloody mess you still look pretty.”
“That’s so sweet.” You jumped lightly as Steve chuckled, trying to sit up. All was in vain as his laugh was replaced with a groan. He held his left side as you sat next to him, pulling him gently by his uniform shirt so he was leaning against you. You rest his head on your shoulder, both sitting in complete silence. A few minutes pass before you decide to speak.
“I know this might sound like a dumb question but. Are you okay?”
Steve chuckled before immediately groaning again, leaning more into you to ease the pain on his side.
“Just peachy, Y/N” He replied in his usual light-hearted sarcastic tone.
“Shut up you dingbat.” You giggled, maneuvering Steve around so you could wrap his arm around your shoulder and your arm around his waist, lifting him off the couch.
“That’s a new one. That’s definitely an upgrade from ‘dingus’”.
“Come on.” You grunt slightly as you take Steve’s whole weight against you. “Let’s go get you cleaned up.” You both began the impending journey up the stairs to your en suite bathroom to patch the floofy haired boy up.
✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✮✭✮✮✭✮✮✭✮
Once you both reach your en suite bathroom you, as gently as you can, lower Steve onto the edge of the bath, reaching over him to turn on the shower. You fail to notice his face go red as your chest was currently inches from his face. Once you manage to turn on the shower you lean back, hearing Steve let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding.
“Thanks again for patching me up Y/N.” your back is to Steve, smiling like an idiot as you open the medicine cabinet above the bathroom sink, completely forgetting there is a mirror and Steve had a clear view of how happy that made you. He smiled to himself; head lowered slightly.
There was a moment of silence as you began collecting what you need from the medicine cabinet. Once you had everything you begin to close the door but pause briefly. A brief sigh exits your lips.
“As much as I love spending time with you, I wish it was under better circumstances.”
Steve looked at you confused.
“What do you mean?”
You shut the cabinet door, placing the bandages and other first aid items on the edge of the sink. Your back still turned to Steve.
“I hate seeing you hurt. Prefer it when you’re not covered in bruises. I mean-” You turned around to face him. He’s looking at you from where he is now stood, the same puppy dog eyed look he always gives you when he wants you to stop being mad at him for something.
You lift your hand up to rest against his cheek but stop yourself, briefly hovering over his cheek. He catches your hand before you have a chance to, pressing your hand against his cheek. He leans into it, caressing the back of your hand with his thumb, his eyes never leaving yours.
“Look at you Steve. This keeps happening after every summer and I’m terrified there will be a time that you don’t make it to me in time. That there’s a day you are really badly injured and I’m not there to fix it.”
“You don’t have to worry about that Y/N. I’d never leave you”.
“You can’t promise that”.
“But I can try. I promise I’ll at least try to be more careful, okay?” He moves your hand from his face, holding it in his own as he raises his other hand to caress your cheek softly. You sigh as you relax into him.
“We need to get you fixed up”.
“Gimmie a second. I’m happy like this”
“You’re going to be the death of me, Harrington”.
There's a pause as you enjoy each other’s touch. You pull your hand away after a while and place your hand on Steve's shoulders, gently pushing him to sit back on the edge of the bath. He had a sad look on his face that you wanted to kiss away. You shook off that feeling and turned back to the sink, picking up some cotton balls that you soaked in disinfected. You turned back to Steve and stepped towards him, lifting his head up with your free hand.
“This is gonna sting a little, okay?” He nods in acceptance as you tilt his head a little higher, gently pressing the cotton ball to the cut on his lip. He hisses under his breath, and you pull the cotton ball away quickly, apologizing as he shakes his head.
“It’s okay Y/N. Thank you for taking care of me.” He lifts his hands to your hips, pulling you closer to him as he opens his legs and allowing you to slot in between them.
His hands never leave your hips as they hold you in place, his thumbs gently caressing the bit of exposed skin above your pyjama pants. You felt like all the air in your body had escaped. You try to shake it off and continue to gently apply the disinfectant to the cuts and bruises on his skin, apologising every time he looked the slighted bit in pain.
“Do you like Robin?” You didn’t even realize it was said until it left your lips. You didn’t even think it was on your mind at this moment in time, but it must have been eating away at you ever since Robin talked about Steve giving her driving lessons in the mall parking lot. They’re always together and as much as you love Robin, you hate the thought of them turning around one day and telling you they’re an item. You don’t think you could bare it.
Steve looked at you with nothing but pure confusion.
“Where did that come from?”
“Nothing just forget I said anything” You mutter under your breath, now starting to wipe away the blood from Steve’s face.
Steve pulled you closer, removing any space left between you, his hands still placed gently against your hips.
“Tell me, Y/n” He whispered, looking up at you again with those big brown eyes. You looked anywhere except his eyes, If you did you genuinely think it would kill you.
“I just-” you take a deep breath, thinking about how to word it without screaming the face you were in love with him.
“You guys are together a lot, and I noticed you’re a lot closer to each other lately. I just wanted to know, I guess.”
“How would you feel if we were?” Your heart felt like it sunk into your stomach.
“I’d hate it, Steve.” You had finished cleaning up his wounds a few minutes ago, you just couldn’t bare to step away from him. You wanted to make this moment last as long as you could. You lowered the cloth from his face, finally looking him in the eyes.
He slowly stood up, hands moving up to rest against your face, caressing your cheeks. He gently rests his forehead against yours.
“Why would you hate it, Y/n?” There's a long pause, unable to say what you need to say.
He nudges his nose against yours.
“Please tell me.” He whispers, lips only inches away from yours. You closed your eyes and let out a sigh, leaning into his touch.
“I really like you Ste-” His lips smash against yours before you had a chance to finish your sentence.
“I like you Y/N” He whispered before kissing you again.
“I like you so much.” You smile into the kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. The kiss lasts what feels like eternity before Steve releases a hiss, both of you forgetting about the cut on his lip.
“Sorry, Stevie.” You caress the skin just under the cut and Steve looks at you with nothing but pure love and adoration.
“Totally worth it, P/N.” Your heart fluttered at the new nickname as did his at yours.
You step away slightly from his embrace, his lips form into a pout from the lack of your touch. You take his hand and lead him back to your bedroom.
You let go of his hand briefly to rummage through your dresser draws, revealing a shirt and shorts he had left from the last time he had stayed over.
He accepted the clothes with a smile, practically glowing with joy that this was finally happening, that you were finally his.
“Go take a shower then we can continue where we left off” You had never seen Steve move faster in your life. You giggled as he shut the door behind him. You turned around to find another shirt for yourself, realizing a bit of Steve's blood had ended up on your shirt. The door opened again briefly, revealing a shirtless Steve. Your face turned bright red as he laughed.
“Wanna join me?” You threw the shirt you had in your hand at the door, Steve managing to close the door before the shirt hit him.
“Worth a shot!” You hear behind the bathroom door, making you giggle once again, walking over to retrieve your shirt and changing before removing the blanket and settling into bed.
You lay facing away from the bathroom door, feeling sleep dawn over you as it was getting late. Before you had a chance to fully drift asleep you hear the bathroom door open and suddenly feel the full weight of Steve as he jumps onto the bed and proceeds to rub his wet hair across your face, neck and chest.
“Ewwww, get off!” You said through fits of laughter as you push him back. He stops and lifts his head with a chuckle, his body now hovering over yours, hands resting either side of your head as he looks at you like you’re the most precious thing in the world.
“Let me take you out on a date tomorrow.” You looked at him with slight confusion.
“What, like a date?” He leans forward, kissing your forehead with a smile on his face.
“That’s normally what couples do.”
“Were a couple now?”
“Well after what we did in the bathroom id hope so”.
“You make it sound like we fornicated or something”.
“Fornicated? What are you 60 or something? Who uses that word for sex” he says through laughter before his face comes into contact with a pillow.
He rolls onto his back, continuing his chuckling and you pretend to get out of bed. You immediately feel Steve pull you back flush against his chest, his face pressed into your neck.
“Don’t go, please”. He said with the slightest bit of desperation. You giggle once more, rotating your body so you’re facing him, placing a gentle kiss against his cheek.
“Wanna continue where we left of in the bathroom?”
“What, the fornication?”
“I swear I will leave”.
“Okay, okay I’m sorry.” He stops chuckling and simply looks at you once again with nothing but complete adoration.
“I really want to go on a date with you by the way.”
“I know, P/N” He whispers against your lips, kissing you once again.
“And I really want us to be a couple” Steve smiles against your lips, pulling you impossibly closer and deepening the kiss.

storm the field | mark estapa
Tumblr media
In which storming the field isn’t so scary.
Inspired by last weekend when I rushed the field after my college’s football team won!! Hope you enjoy!
————————————————————————
Today was one of the most exciting days on the University of Michigan campus. Michigan was playing Ohio State in football at home. Both teams were undefeated, meaning one would get their first loss of the season at the conclusion of this game.
You had gone to the game with a large group of your friends, including some of the members of the Michigan hockey team. You and Mark had become close over the past few weeks and all of your friends could definitely tell that there were some feelings between the two of you. Luca, Mark, and Ethan had joined your friends to tailgate and you had all entered the game together.
“Okay, I see an empty row!” Your friend, Lizzie, shouted back towards you as you all climbed the steps in the stadium. Four of your girlfriends were in front of you and the boys were behind you, meaning you’d be standing right next to Mark.
Lizzie waited by the end of the row so she could stand next to Ethan because they were friends from home. She gave your arm a squeeze as you filed into the row. Lizzie had been egging you on to make a move on Mark, but you had been reluctant.
In your mind, if Mark knew you liked him and didn’t return the feelings, you would be crushed. You didn’t want to be heartbroken by someone you called a close friend.
“Hey,” you said nervously.
“Hey, Y/N,” he replied sweetly. Mark flashed a smile at you, adjusting the hat he wore. You prayed that he wouldn’t turn it backwards or you’d be swooning for him in front of all of your friends.
“Did you want to switch spots to be near any of the other girls?” You didn’t want to ask that question, but you figured you should ask before you got your hopes up.
“Oh, uh, I’m good,” he answered. His hand came up to the back of his neck and he looked around awkwardly. “Did you want to switch?”
Oh god, you internally groaned. “No, I’m also good,” you said quietly.
“I’m actually glad I get to stand next to you, Y/N. Lizzie told me you love football,” Mark said.
You nodded enthusiastically. You had loved Michigan football ever since you were little, so it was easy to jump into conversation with Mark. If any of your friends were worried about you before, they could finally breathe knowing you were being yourself.
The game started soon after, with Ohio State taking a swift lead. Michigan attempted to score on their second drive, but they fumbled the ball.
“Shit, that’s not good,” you mumbled.
“Tell me our next move, coach Y/N,” Mark joked, bumping into your shoulder. The two of you had talked about your favorite football teams during the first quarter, conversation flowing easily.
“Well, since the people want to know,” you giggled, telling him which position members of the defense should line up in. You both laughed along as the rest of the half went by. Michigan trailed starting the second half of the game, and the mood in the stands was tense.
“If we lose I’m never hearing the end of this from my family, Y/N,” Mark groaned. As more of his teammates came to stand in your row, Mark had moved closer to you. You were practically tucked under his arm due to the lack of space. “Yeah, me either,” you laughed back.
Somewhere between the third and fourth quarters, when the game was tied, some of Mark’s teammates had joined you in your row. With the extra people, you had to move closer to Mark. His arm had settled around your waist, which you hoped was a good thing, but your paranoia won out and had you thinking otherwise.
“Mark,” you called, practically having to shout due to the screams around you. “Mark!”
“What?”
He pulled his gaze away from the field to meet your wide eyes. “Your arm, Mark.”
“Oh, shit I’m sorry, do you want me to move it?”
You watched the confidence drain from his face and felt bad for asking. “No, leave it! Leave it, I just—”
“I didn’t do it by accident, Y/N,” he said, coming close to your ear so that only you heard it. Shivers went down your spine at his voice.
You nodded, trying to calm the butterflies in your stomach and focus on the game. There wasn’t much time left, Michigan needing a field goal to win the game. The whole stadium waited with bated breath as the kicker got set.
“You rushing if we win, Estapa?” You heard Rutger call to Mark. Everyone in the stands around you was eager with anticipation and had started to shift towards the aisles to storm the field of the Wolverines won.
“Fuck yeah!” Mark shouted back. “You gonna run, Y/N?” Honestly, the idea of storming the field with thousands of other people scared you, but the glint in Mark’s eye had you agreeing immediately. You shifted your attention back to the field, Mark squeezing you closer.
Sure enough, the kick was good, with Michigan winning the football game and remaining undefeated. You and your friends started running down the bleachers with the rest of the student population to get to the field.
You pulled out your phone with your right hand and started to record as your feet hit the field. Within seconds, you were surrounded by tons of other people, most of them taller than you and all trying to get their phones up to get the best video possible.
When you turned around, you quickly realized that your friends weren’t around you. Obviously, you knew where the exits were to get off of the field but it would take a long time with a crowd this big. You put your phone down to take in the crowd and orient yourself when you felt a hand pull yours.
You tried to jerk your hand away until you heard your name being called by a familiar voice.
“Y/N, it’s me!” Mark called. He grabbed your hand and pulled you closer to him. You tried to ignore the backwards bar situated on his head, some of his blonde hair sticking out of the front haphazardly just so that you could exit the field before hearts appeared in your eyes. “We can head toward the exit, Ethan and Lizzie went that way.”
“Mark, you’re my savior,” you breathed. “It’s never a great day to be short, but today is an especially bad day.” Mark laughed. You agreed quickly to follow him and thanked him for finding you. You were both high on adrenaline, working your way through the crowd and cheering with everyone as loudly as could be.
“That was fucking insane,” you shouted. “Thank you for finding me!”
“Yo, Mark, over here!” You heard. Mark started moving you towards his teammates at the side of the exit. You made Mark stop before you left the crowd for a quick selfie together, both of you smiling wide for the camera.
“You two look like little otters!” Lizzie said. “Y’know, cause they hold hands all the time!”
You didn’t realize that you and Mark were still holding hands until she mentioned it, but Mark just squeezed your hand in response.
“We’ve lost another one, boys,” someone called and swiftly earned a slap upside the head.
“Hey, when you storm the field anything goes,” you laughed, trying to brush it off.
“Well, I’d hold hands with you any day, Y/N,” Mark said, getting your attention. “Thanks for storming the field with me.”
You felt your cheeks get hot. You looked down at yours and Mark’s shoes, trying not to get flustered in front of your friends.
“Maybe we could hold hands on a date? If you wanted to, of course,” he chuckled.
“I thought you’d never ask, Estapa,” you smiled, leaning up to give him a kiss, surrounded by cheers from your friends.

𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐛 (𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐭): “Mmhmm” you called, opening the fridge and grabbing the bottle of what he was asking for which was the hard apple cider he’d found in the American section of the grocery store last time you went. This surprised you because Luca was not a drinker, in the slightest. This wasn’t because he was addictive around it, or even that he didn’t enjoy it- he was a lightweight.

Tumblr media
“Hey love did you want to grab one of those sparkling apple drinks I got?” Luca called from the living room. Dreaded soccer- or football season Luca called it, and pretty much everyone around you since you’d moved to the UK to be with your long term boyfriend.
This meant that your weekends, and Monday & Friday evenings were now days that your lovely passionate boyfriend spent trying his hardest to contain himself and not scream at the tv every few minutes. This also meant that as soon as a game was on, unless it was on commercial- you were his beloved and much appreciated soda and water runner, sometimes snacks.
“Mmhmm” you called, opening the fridge and grabbing the bottle of what he was asking for which was the hard apple cider he’d found in the American section of the grocery store last time you went. This surprised you because Luca was not a drinker, in the slightest. This wasn’t because he was addictive around it, or even that he didn’t enjoy it- he was a lightweight.
You’d think for a 6’3 German-English man he’d be able to handle a few beers, but after 3 he was usually asleep, and if he had 4 he was hanging over you and whispering in your ear how much he loved you and wanted to marry you, and would sometimes cry about how much he loved you as well.
“Here you go sweets” you kissed the top of his head, holding the bottle in front of it and he was currently glued to the TV
“Come on- come on- Yes!” He cheered pumping his fist
“Sorry baby thank you love you- are you gonna sit with me?” He gave you a peck, taking the drink and having a sip, his nose scrunching. “Is that beer?” He asked before you could reply and you giggle a bit.
“Kind of. It’s hard cider baby, it’s what we drink in America around now. It’s like sour beer kinda- but it’s made from apples. Also, if you don’t mind me being on my phone then yes I’ll sit with you” you explained and he looked at the bottle, humming a bit to himself
“I don’t mind, here- I’ll rub your legs” he moved over and patted the seat next to him. You happily sat with him, laying your legs over his thighs and he massaged your calf gently as he continued to watch.
As time went on, he ended up finishing the bottle and setting it empty down on the coffee table. He had moved down to your foot, rubbing it gently and suddenly he shouted “AW COME ON!! YOU FUCKIN’ HAD IT!” causing you to nearly jump out of your seat.
His eyes widened, looking over at you apologetically “I’m sorry- sorry love I don’t know where that came from” he said, his cheeks already a light shade of pink and you giggled, sitting up and kissing his jaw with a smooch.
“It’s ok, you’re cute when you get into it baby. Did you want another? I was gonna go get a glass of wine anyway” you stood, grabbing the empty bottle and he nods, puckering his lips for a real kiss to which you oblige, cupping his cheek and pulling away after a few moments so he wouldn’t miss anything.
“Be right back” you ruffled his hair and went to the kitchen. By the time you got back, he was standing with his hands on his head watching the tv with a stressed expression
“Babe- thank god you’re here. they’re reaming us. I dunno what happened” he said and you giggled a bit at the prospect he needed your comfort that his team was losing.
“Awww, here you go honey. I’m sorry I’m sure they’ll get it together soon” you handed him his new full bottle of cider and plopped back in your seat on the couch, taking a sip of your wine.
“They’re idiots is what they are bloody idiots” he mutters to himself before taking a long sip of his cider, causing you to giggle.
“I think they can feel your death stare through the screen babe” you said, earning a small smile from him and he looks back at you
“They’d better. If looks could kill they’d be dead” he said, looking back at the tv quickly as the referee said something.
You continued on your phone, reading through twitter and replying to your group chat with your girlfriends, giggling over memes and jokes you were sending back and forth. You were so stuck in your own bubble, that you hadn’t even noticed Luca went into the kitchen and had gotten another cider on commercial break after he had very quickly finished his second.
You didn’t notice, though, because the bottles all looked the same and just like you he had thrown away the empty in the recycling. That was, until Luca began getting pouty.
“I’m upset” he whined and you knew by the tone of his voice that he’d been drinking.
“Yeah?” You said and he practically laid on top of you, resting his head in your lap and looking up at you. His eyes were red and glossy, and his cheeks were flushed.
“We lost” he said sadly “can you play-“ he hiccups, covering his mouth to cover a cider burp “oops sorry excuse me” he giggled a bit “I want you to play with my hair” he took your hand and put it to his head.
You laughed a bit, rolling your eyes at his tipsy loving behavior. “You want me to play with your hair cause your team lost?” You ask softly, running your hands through his soft blonde locks. He just hummed in response, closing his eyes
“What if we don’t make it to finals?” He asked, voice laced with drunken worry. You gently cupped his cheek, easing the concerned wrinkle out of the center of his brow
“Babe it’s one game. And I think you’re drunk” you giggled and continued playing with his hair. At the word his eyes shot open
“I am not-“ he hiccuped again “ok maybe I didn’t realize those were strong” he admitted with a lazy smirk. You shook your head, rolling your eyes playfully.
“Word to the wise- any drink that you find in America and it says that it’s a ‘hard’ drink? It’s alcoholic, sweetheart.”
“Noted”

01 He's back
written for @steddieangstyaugust (prompt: Second chances) and @augustwritingchallenge(Prompt: Canon Divergent) Rating: M Relationship: Steve/Eddie TW: mention of blow jobs Words: 1420
Tumblr media
"Come on, Eddie! It's the Championship game!" Steve sighs, trying to help his secret boyfriend to be reasonable. Lucas has joined the basketball team and the final game is due on the same night as their game night.
"I don't care if it's one of your jocks' sacred rituals, it's Hellfire's night,” Eddie replies, shaking his head in disdain, “Lucas knows it and if he doesn't want to miss it he has to come to the theater room. If he doesn’t want to, it's not my problem."
"But you know that's important for him!" Steve insists, looking lazily at Eddie pacing front and backward.
"And the Hellfire is important to me! And to Gar! And Jeff! And Freak… even fucking Mike Wheeler knows that's important and that kid is always on the phone calling his stupid girlfriend. But not on Fridays! No sir! And guess why?”
“Because it’s Hellfire night,” Steve sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Exactly! Because. That. Is. Hellfire's night!" Eddie emphasizes, throwing his hands in the air like it was a great revelation.
"Can't you move it just for one time? It's the final game!"
"Are you fucking crazy? It's spring break! I can't organize a game night on spring break! And next semester I'll be too busy studying, because Edward Munson is going to be the first fucking Munson to graduate in his family, ok? I don't care what that prick of the principal thinks about me! 1986, baby! It's my year!"
Steve smiles softly, he does love Eddie’s enthusiasm and his commitment to the Hellfire club, but he would really like to help Lucas. They have trained together all summer to make sure he made it through the tryouts and even if he never played a game Steve knows that being there is important to be part of the team. He lets out a long sigh, rubbing a hand through his hair, "Come on, Eddie! I'm sure that dedicating one night of your studying time to Hellfire’s Club during the next semester isn't going to fuck your plans to graduate."
Eddie stops in his tracks, his eyes wide with anger, "You don't get it, Steve. It's my last game, ok? The last time I'll DM for the Hellfire. After that, I'll leave my legacy to the younger generation. It's a big deal. And it's important to me! If Lucas knew he would be busy he shouldn’t have joined the laundry basket team."
"Hey, low blow." Steve frowns.
"Fair. Sorry. Not cool. Still. If he knew he wasn’t able to come he should have asked to move the game night. But no. I found out, thanks to you, that the traitor isn't going to attend the last day of the Cult of Vecna Campaign. He didn’t even dare to tell me!"
"First of all, if Lucas told you would have scared him to death. And what's most important is that he couldn't have asked you ahead because there was no way he could have known that the team would have made it to the final! I mean, I was there at every game and I wasn't really optimistic. When Hargrove and I were on the team, things were different, but this year the coach had to do a great job of replacing all the players who graduated and adding new members to the team. It isn't easy, you know?"
"You are talking to me about things that aren't easy? I took your little sheep under my wing. I showed them the ropes of high school! I protected them from bullies… and how do they repay me? With treason!"
"You're being way too dramatic. Is there a way I can convince you to move Hellfire's night? Baby? You know I'd do anything for you." Steve tells him, falling onto his knees and crawling toward Eddie who looks at him with desire.
"You drive a hard bargain, Harrington. Are you saying you'll do whatever I'll ask you to?"
"I will."
"Even if it's something you always refused to do?"
Steve frowns, confused wondering if Eddie could ask him to do something that's a hard no for him. They talked about their limits, deeply, and he thinks he will respect his decisions but…
"Don't look so scared. I have a meeting with Chrissy Cunningham tomorrow. She wants to buy drugs. Yes, I know what you think about drugs but she's eighteen, ok? And she scares the shit out of me. I told her I would have seen her here at the trailer after Hell… after the Championship game. If you promise to be at my place and protect me from the mean cheerleader I might consider moving the Hellfire night after spring break. Oh, and I still want that blow job you seemed to be so willing to offer."
"You know what, I'll make you even a better offer: one blow job now and one after you see Chrissy, to calm your nerves."
"That sounds good."
***
Steve is hiding in Eddie's room. Well, not really hiding, he's just waiting for his boyfriend to get back. He was so anxious about this meeting with Chrissy, as if the sweetest girl alive could have ever been mean to anyone.
The familiar crunching sound of the van's tires rolling on the gravel tells him that Eddie is back even before he slams the door open announcing that the princess is visiting his humble abode. Steve chuckles between himself, his boyfriend is always so dramatic. Hearing him digging, looking for drugs in the trailer, Steve sighs. He doesn't like that Eddie sells drugs but Eddie promises he'll quit the business soon and that if Chrissy decides to take the drugs he'll stay with her to make sure her trip is a good one.
Chrissy and Eddie are chatting in the little living room and Steve is already bored out of his mind, so he starts to take a look at the tapes spread out on Eddie's bed, knowing that between them there's the demo Eddie and the boys are so proud of. Gareth's cousins know someone who knows someone who might be interested in the demo and they are super excited about it. Steve wants to have a taste of their music, so he puts the tapes in the stereo and scares himself to death when a loud music comes out from the speakers.
He should have known that Eddie always keeps his stereo at the maximum volume! He gets closer to the stereo to lower the volume when he realizes that the screams aren't coming from the tape. Or at least not the female's one.
Steve slams the door open and sees Eddie floating on the roof of the trailer, his eyes white and empty. Steve never saw something like that before but he has seen a few strange shit in his young life and that's a code red. He grabs his walkie and gives it to Chrissy, "Push the button and tell that's a code red!" he yells, while he tries to pull down Eddie from the ceiling.
"Come on, Eddie! Get your stupid ass back here." He curses, while Chrissy keeps screaming in the walkie-talkie. Someone might have answered because the trailer's door slams open once more and Max is standing in the living room, asking questions Steve has no answer for.
In the background the Corroded Coffin's tape keeps playing, changing from a screaming song to a sort of slow ballad.
Max has taken hold of the walkie talkie and she's describing what's going on to the others who are trying to find a way to get to the trailer to help. when finally Eddie opens his eyes and falls on the ground, but Steve is there, ready to cushion his fall.
"Steve... are you real? Are you really real?" Eddie asks, touching Steve's face with trembling hands.
Steve catches one of his hands, keeping him tight to his chest, and kisses the long fingers with affection.
"I'm real. You're good. Everything is good."
"I saw a monster, Steve! A real one! He was hunting me down and then… then I heard our song! And I saw you! And I ran to you." Eddie tries to explain while catching his breath.
"You did good, babe. You did well." Steve reassures him, rocking him back and forward.
When the walkie-talkie cracks alive again and Dustin's panicked voice asks what's going on, Steve grabs the walkie-talkie and replies, "He's back."
And none complains about the fact he didn't say: over.

Sub tomboy reader x soft Dom! Abby or Hazel
Rest is up to you! 💗
Tell ur girlfriend☆
A/n - yall this MIGHT suck but js work with me okay😢😢(there's a cliffhanger but I promise there will be pt.2🥳🥳)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings - breakups, making out, cheating🌚, reader has a bf, arguing
Summary - you and hazel were originally js study buddies in relationships but things escalated...
Tumblr media
Last month you had realized your grades were dropping, thinking nothing of it you continued your life as normal. But last week you had failed your history test, this resulted in a hour long lecture from your parents and a long call with your best friend hazel who offered to help you with your work everyday after school.
"So we still studying tonight?" Hazel asks as you two walk to hazels next class "yeah of course!" You reply. Your about to say something else when Hazel's girlfriend(Mia) walks over, Taking hazels hand in hers while standing on her tippy toes to give Hazel a kiss on her cheek, she's so annoying I don't understand how Hazel puts up with her I just wish she would breakup with her alre-
Your thoughts are interrupted by your boyfriend hugging your waist from behind "hey babe" he says while kissing your cheek.
"oh hey! I heard you got a A on your test?" You question playfully while turning around to face your boyfriend of 7 months.
"Yeah I did and my mom said as a reward we're going out of town for the weekend so I don't think we can hangout tomorrow" you could tell he was hiding something or atleast wasn't telling you the full story but you didn't want to question him about it right now as you had to finish your conversation with hazel.
"Oh well I have to go talk to haz-" your words slow down as you turn around and don't see hazel anywhere. mia must've taken her to makeout.
"Nevermind I guess her and Mia left. Wanna walk me to class?" You ask Lucas.
"Of course babe".
After your last class was finally over you decided to go and wait outside the gym as you know she has a fight club or whatever they call it after school.
30 minutes and it's finally over. Hazel walks out and you call her over as she didn't see you.
"Hey haze! You ready to go?" You ask her while slightly tilting your head in a questioning way.
"Yeah let's go I have lots of homework to do".
Tumblr media
"Shit" Hazel says while searching her backpack as if she's lost something.
"What's wrong haze?" You ask as your getting worried by the expression on her face.
"I just forgot my phone in the gym" she says while leaning back into the seat. You start admiring her, wondering how some 3/10 girl who is to "girly" in ur opinion pulled a gorgeous 10000/10 women who you would let do anything to you
Your slowly processing her words as your to focused on her facial features. But once it finally hits you your quick to offer getting it for her.
"I could go get it" you say a little to fast, fast enough she giggled while saying "Yeah that's fine with me".
A little flustered, you get out the car and go back into the building as it was still open.
Walking to fast for your legs liking you finally reach the gym. After 3 minutes of searching you find the familiar phone that you've seen and used many times as you have a habit of forgetting to charge yours.
Just as your about to walk out you hear people talking. As a natural instinct of a person who has social anxiety you decided to stay there until they leave.
2 minutes have passed and they're still there. You started actually listening 30 seconds ago as you realized it was your boyfriend, Lucas and his friends.
"Shes kind of stupid I don't know why she would belive something like that" one of Lucas's friends say. Assuming they're talking about someone else's girlfriend you continue to listen.
"Yeah honestly I didn't think it was gonna be that easy. I'm just excited to hangout with Maddie tomorrow" You recognize this voice, This is a voice you've talked to many times, A voice you trust, no trusted because you realize this is your boyfriends voice your hearing.
Although tears are beginning to form in your eyes you continue to listen as you want to get the full story.
Another 4 minutes and they finally leave. You open the door to the gym slightly and look around to make sure no one is there. When confirmed you walk to the main school doors. Quickly jogging to Hazel's car.
"Here" you say bluntly as you hand Hazel her phone. "What's wrong y/n?" Hazel says as she tucks a peice of your hair behing your ear.
"Can we talk about this later?" You say as you look into her eyes. Your eyes are red so she can obviously tell you've been crying.
After a few seconds of her debating whether to drop it or not she decideds she'll just bring it up later at your house
Tumblr media
It's been 2 hours and hazel had just finished her last sentence for her homework. You on the other hand finished it in 30 minutes. Scrolling on tiktok waiting untill she's done. She finally says "I'm finished!".
"God that took forever" you say while rolling your eyes. "Shut up you love my company" she says while pushing ur chest away in a playful way.
It was just silent for a while after that, nobody knew what to say or maybe they were just preparing themselves for what was next to be said.
"So what happened ealier" Hazel said quietly, you almost didn't hear her, but you did which means you had to answer.
"Hes cheating on me" You say with a loud sigh.
"WHAT WITH WHO?!?" Hazel practically screams. You slightly luagh at her loudness untill you remember what this conversation is about.
"With Maddie" You slightly shift so you're in a more comfortable position on the bed
"Really? I didn't even think they talked"
"Me neither, but here we are"
It's silent.
Not an akward kind of silence though.
One that makes you want to go to sleep.
The one that makes everything okay.
You find comfort in the silence with hazel.
Untill she speaks up.
"I'd never do that to you" she whispers. Your face heats up what did she mean by that you wonder, but right now your main focus is making sure she doesn't see how red your face is.
"What do you mean?" You question while sitting up, putting all ur weight on your elbows while staring at her, trying to keep eye contact but she just won't look at you.
"Cheat. I wouldn't cheat on you" She finally looks at you. But all of a sudden your confidence dissappears and you lay back down and turn away from hazel.
Hazel doesn't like that and grabs you so you're facing her again. You're both laying on your sides staring at eachother. Your eyes flick to her lips and back up God I hope she didn't see that . "Whatcha thinking about?"
"You"

The cafeteria is buzzing with conversation, including the table where you sit amongst the Hellfire boys. Mike and Lucas are arguing over something–you can’t be bothered to pay attention to their constant squabbles anymore–while Dustin is whining about his failing Spanish grade to Gareth and Jeff.
The only ones not talking are you and, surprisingly, Eddie. He’s nibbling on a pretzel, reminding you of one of the bunny rabbits that congregates in your yard. You’re not exactly sure why he’s so quiet, but you take this opportunity to whisper, “Can we go out to your van for a sec?”
His eyebrows pinch together in confusion; if you wanted weed from him, you would wait until after school hours to buy. Well, buy wasn’t the right word, considering Eddie always gave you yours for free.
“Yeah, sure,” he says, sliding his chair back from the table without bothering to push it back in. If one of the meathead jocks happens to trip over it and twist an ankle before their precious game, that’s not his problem.
You wait until you’re outside, away from anyone who could possibly overhear the absurd request you’re about to make, before you start speaking. “So, um, you know how I have that date tonight? With Mark?” you ask, biting your lower lip nervously. You can taste the strawberry gloss that you’d reapplied after finishing lunch.
Eddie’s already digging through the glove compartment for the baggie he keeps stashed away. “You want some for him, too?” His tone is impatient; irritated, even, as he pulls out the blunt he’s already rolled for you. “Because I only brought one.” For you, he adds silently.
“Wha–oh, no; I didn’t need any weed,” you tell him, shaking your head before dropping your gaze to the gravel beneath your feet. “It’s our third date, and I was thinking he might wanna…y’know…do stuff?” You cringe at the phrasing, but press on. “But I…I don’t really know how.”
“Sweetheart, if you’re confessing your virgin status to me, I already know,” Eddie says with a smirk. “I mean, we’ve been friends for a million years. If you did it and didn’t tell me, I’d be pissed.”
You manage a giggle at his candidness. “Nope, still a virgin,” you report miserably. “And last time, he asked me to give him head, but I told him I had to get home. Not because I didn’t want to, but because I didn’t wanna do it wrong.”
Eddie shrugs. “Just don’t use teeth,” he replies casually. “Other than that, there isn’t much you can do wrong.” He starts back towards the school, pausing when he realizes that you’re not by his side. “Look, I don’t have any other tips. I’ve only ever been on the, uh, receiving end of dick sucking.”
“Yeah, well,” you mumble, shoving your hands in your pockets and brushing the toe of your sneaker against the ground, “that’s kinda what I wanted to ask you. I was thinking that maybe I could…practice on you?”
Eddie’s eyes practically pop out of his head. “You…you wanna do what?”
“Forget it. It’s stupid, I’m sorry. Can we never talk about this again?” Tears well up in your eyes, and you try to blink them away before he can notice. What were you thinking? Asking your best friend if you could give him a blowjob?
“Hey, no, I just wanted to make sure that’s what you meant.” He smiles, letting his hand graze yours. “Do you mind…in my van?”
You nod, returning his smile with your own shy one. “Um, yeah. I mean, no, I don’t mind. I can give you head in your van.”
Eddie swallows a lump in his throat, opening the back door and helping you inside. He lays down on the shag carpet–the one you always tease him about–and pats his thigh. “C’mon over.” He watches as you timidly straddle his waist, trying not to sit down on his lap. “You’re not gonna crush me, y’know,” he jokes lightly. “And even if you did, s’not like I’d be mad about it.”
You hesitate but ultimately let yourself rest on him; immediately, his cock starts to stiffen, and you pull back. “Shit, I-”
“S’okay,” Eddie says, tilting his head. He’s not about to let you know that this isn’t the first time you’ve gotten him hard; just the first time you know about. “Whenever you’re ready.”
Fingers fumbling with his belt, you pull on the strip of leather until the shiny metal clasp unhooks from its notch. He undoes the silver button on his pants but lets you tug his zipper down until you get a glimpse of his blue-and-white checked boxers. “Can I take these off?” you ask.
“Y-Yeah, ‘course,” he stutters, sitting back on his elbows to give you more leverage. You have to keep yourself from gawking at his hardened length as it rests against his Iron Maiden shirt, tip leaking a pearly bead of pre-cum. He mistakes your awe for nerves, and he quickly adds, “if you changed your mind, I’m not gonna be mad or anything–”
“No,” you shake your head. “I just d-don’t know where to start.”
Relief visibly floods his body. “I like being teased a little. Like, kissing it or licking it–holy fucking shit.” His train of thought is abruptly cut off when your tongue flattens against the base of his shaft, dragging upwards until you reach the head. His lithe fingers grab onto the collar of your cotton t-shirt, twisting the fabric around them just to steady himself.
“Like that?” you ask, giving him eyes that are far too innocent for someone who just coated his dick with her saliva.
“J-Jus’ like that,” Eddie nods, gripping your shirt tighter as your lips brush against his length with tiny, measured pecks. “And then you’ll wanna–fuck–wanna focus on the tip. Wrap your lips around it, there you go.” His toes curl as you lower your mouth, licking at the saltiness. “Make, like, circles w-with your tongue.”
You do as he says, feeling him twitch against your parted lips. A wanton moan escapes him, and it’s music to your ears. A sign that you’re doing something right.
“When you’re ready—Jesus H. Christ, your mouth feels s’fucking good—hollow out your cheeks and kinda…glide down? I dunno, all the blood is rushing to my dick right now.”
You blanche as you reposition yourself, glancing at his girth. “Eddie, I…I don’t think I can fit all of you in my mouth.”
His fingernails could tear through your shirt with the grip he has. “Shit, y-you can’t say that. Actually, you can. Tell me how fuckin’ big I am, baby.”
Baby. You try not to let this new pet name distract you as you say, “you’re huge, Eddie. I won’t be able to take it.”
“Yeah? Gonna choke on my cock?” Eddie growls, momentarily forgetting his role as oral sex tutor. “S-Sorry. Um, if you can’t, you can use your hand to help you out.”
“Okay,” you nod, crouching back down. One hand rests on his thigh while the other wraps around the base of his dick. He hisses at your touch, and you smile despite the butterflies in your stomach.
“M-Might help if you spit on it. My, um, my dick.”
The trail of saliva drips down until it reaches his wiry patch of pubic hair. You swirl your tongue around his tip a few more times for good measure before opening your mouth a bit wider and bringing your head down.
“Thassit, keep doin’ that. Don’t worry about getting it all; jus’ do what you can.” His knees tremble as you move a bit faster. “You can do the t-tongue thing when you come back up. I really like that, fuck.”
You want to ask about the pace: is it too fast? Too slow? But when you lift your gaze to meet his—your lips still on his length—he lets out a whimper. A fucking whimper.
“Yes, look at me, baby. Look at me while you blow me,” he pants. “Wanna see your cute little mouth stuffed full of my cock.” And if that wasn’t enough, what he says next could stop a bullet in mid-air: “You’re better than I ever imagined.”
That’s enough to warrant you to ask a follow-up question, and Eddie could cry when you pull away. “You imagined this?”
“Mhm,” he squeaks out. “Wanted you f’so long. Please just keep going. Please don’t stop.”
So you don’t. You find your rhythm, using his groans and twitches to find what he really likes. It’s messy and different but so fucking right.
“Hnng, baby, ‘m gonna cum. You might wanna—”
But you shake your head gently, not wanting to break the momentum you’ve built. You lock eyes with him, silently telling him that it’s okay.
“Fuck, you’re perfect. You can spit it out if you don't wanna swallow, pretty girl. B-but ‘m about to c-cum—fucking shit!” You take as much of him as you can until you start to gag, and you feel his hot release hit the back of your throat. It’s a lot; much more than you’d anticipated, but you swallow it all.
Eddie stares at you incredulously, momentarily speechless. “Did you just…?”
“Was I not supposed to?” The intimacy of it only dawns on you now. He’s just teaching you, and now you’re going on a date with someone after swallowing his cum. “Shit, I’m sorry.”
He barks out a laugh. “Do not apologize for that. Just wasn’t expecting it.” He sits all the way up, adjusting his softening dick and re-fastening his pants. “So…that’s how you give a blowjob. Any questions?”
There’s an awkward silence as you contemplate, ultimately deciding to ask. I mean, you’d just performed oral sex on him; he could answer a measly personal question.
“When you said you wanted me for so long…did you mean that? Or were you just saying it?”
Eddie’s gaze is suddenly glued to the van floor. “Look, you’re with Mark now. I can’t…”
“Did. You. Mean. It?” You cross your arms over your chest, waiting for his response.
He relents after a moment. “Yes, I meant it. I’ve had this big, stupid crush on you, but I kept making excuses not to ask you out, and then you got with Mark—”
You cut his rant short with a clumsy kiss, noses hitting each other as you press your lips to his. You stumble a bit and he catches you, bringing his hands to your hips. “I have a big, stupid crush on you, too,” you admit, “but I figured you would’ve asked me out if you felt the same way.”
This time, Eddie kisses you, soft and sweet. “I can taste myself on your lips,” he murmurs into you. One finger grazes your pants button. “Do me a favor?”
“Yes, I’ll cancel with Mark,” you say, teasing but truthful.
“I mean, you fuckin’ better,” he laughs, but he shakes his head. “Nah, I need you to lie down f’me.”
Your brow creases. “Why?”
“A gentleman always returns the favor.”

“Street, wait up, man,” Luca calls.
Street pauses by the door of S.W.A.T. HQ and turns to look at Luca. 20 Squad had an early day and Street’s been eager to get out of the station and relax. When Luca waits for Deacon and Hondo to walk by before he begins talking, Street narrows his eyes in suspicion.
“What do you want?” Street asks.
“I can’t just want to talk?” Luca defends.
“If you just wanted to talk, Deacon and Hondo overhearing wouldn’t have been a problem. Spit it out, man.”
“Fine. I’m going to be home late tonight and need the house tomorrow night.”
Street opens his mouth but doesn’t say anything. Luca tugs nervously on his backpack strap, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Street.
“There’s something that I need to do tomorrow, and I just- go ride around or visit friends, whatever you want to do, but I really need the house to myself,” Luca explains.
“What do you need to do?” Street inquires.
“Something that I can’t do with you asking questions.”
“Why-“
“Streeter, please.”
Street nods slowly before agreeing to find somewhere else to be tomorrow night. Luca’s the best roommate and friend he’s ever had, so despite all the questions he wants to ask, he’ll give Luca the space and privacy he needs. As they leave HQ, Luca turns left where Street turns right, and Street only becomes more curious about where Luca is going and how he’s spending his nights.
Tumblr media
“Book club?” Street asks.
“Dude, do I look like I’d host a book club? Or be in one?” Luca replies.
“No offense, but kinda. You’ve got that soothing, welcoming personality, and you love people.”
“Who’s in a book club?” Deacon asks as he walks into the situation room.
“No one,” Luca answers.
“Luca disappeared last night, didn’t get home until well after midnight, and now he needs our house tonight. Won’t tell me why,” Street explains.
Deacon looks over at Luca, and he nods once. Luca thinks Deacon probably figured out exactly what has been taking Luca’s free time, but he trusts Deacon to keep it quiet and not push like Street.
“Well, Street, you’re welcome to come over for dinner since you’ve been evicted,” Deacon offers.
“Temporarily evicted,” Street corrects. “And, thanks, but I already found a way to kill a few hours.”
“Luca, enjoy the Street-free house,” Deacon adds as he leaves.
“Hey!” Street yells. “Wait, Luca, is Duke staying?”
Tumblr media
“Where are we going?” you ask.
Luca told you during your date last night that he’d pick you up from work today because he had a surprise. Seeing your boyfriend two days in a row is unusual, but you’re certainly not complaining. The permanent smile on your face since you met is proof that there’s never too much time with Luca.
“We’ve been dating for a while, but we don’t spend time alone,” Luca begins. “Not that I don’t enjoy our date nights, but I thought it might be nice to have a night in for once.”
“That does sound nice,” you agree. “But we both have roommates.”
“I don’t have one tonight. Street agreed to let me have the house to myself for a while.”
“What did you tell him?”
“Not much. He asked a lot of questions, though.”
“You know, you’re not the first boyfriend I’ve had who didn’t want me to meet his friends. You are the first who said it was because of his friends and not me, though.”
“I’ll introduce you when the time is right. And we’re not starting with Street, that’s something that needs to be eased into.”
“Then who would you introduce me to first?”
Luca smiles, and when he reaches the last stop sign before his house, he turns to look at you.
“Deacon, probably,” he answers. “I think he already knows I’m seeing someone.”
“What makes you say that?”
“Deacon’s crazy intuitive, and the only one who has any idea what it’s like to be in a committed relationship.”
Luca turns into his driveway and races around the front of his truck to open your door and help you out. His house is cute, you think, but the work he’s doing in the neighborhood is even better than the house. As he opens the door, you hear a dog bark happily.
“Is that Duke? I get to meet Duke?” you ask excitedly.
“Yes, you do. He’s the best roommate I have.”
“When I meet Jim, I’m telling him you said that.”
“He already knows.”
Luca opens the door, and you step inside before being greeted by Duke. He’s just as kind and gentle as his owner, and you fall in love with him in a moment. As you kneel and pet him, letting him sniff your hand to introduce yourself, you’re glad for a quiet night in. You know Luca well, but you expect to see a different side of him away from the public eye, and the dangers he watches for outside.
“This is the best date you’ve ever taken me on,” you tell Luca as he helps you stand.
“I’ll remember that next time I get reservations at an expensive restaurant,” he jokes.
“You know I’d be happy with your cooking, or a food truck, or a microwave dinner as long as I’m sharing it with you.”
“Don’t get sappy yet,” Luca warns playfully.
You already feel comfortable in Luca’s house, and as you follow him into the kitchen you catch a glimpse of what the rest of your life will be like. Your favorite meal is waiting for you, and you hug Luca tightly to thank him. The night is perfect, and it’s just beginning.
Tumblr media
“I’m so tired,” Street complains.
“Go home,” Chris answers. “That’s, like, the entire point of having a place to live.”
“I can’t. Luca said I can’t come home until later.”
“Why not?”
“Wouldn’t tell me. Deac probably knows.”
“If he didn’t say why, it must not be too important.”
Street looks up from his drink and snaps. His eyes are glassy as he points at Chris and agrees, “You’re so right. You’re so smart, Chris.”
“And maybe you need a ride home,” she suggests.
“I’m not drunk,” Street argues. “Just tired and I want to know what Luca is doing.”
“I’m not going to tell you that you should go home earlier to find out, but if you’re uncomfortable staying out any longer… Where else are you supposed to go?”
“Luca would kill me.”
Tumblr media
“I love you,” you whisper.
Luca’s hand slows in its trail from your hip to your ribs and back down. His touch is both calming and electrifying, and you can’t imagine a life without Luca. He pulls your legs over his lap to bring you closer. What started as sitting on his couch to talk quickly turned to quiet confessions and cuddles, which you would like to be a nightly occurrence. Luca kisses your cheek before promising that he loves you.
“I’m never going to want to go on another date with you unless it’s just like this one,” you say.
Luca turns to look at your smile and cups your cheek before he agrees, “I’m sure we could work something out.”
“You’re gonna have to tell Street then. Duke already loves me, so we’re over halfway there.”
“Or I could just get him, like, arcade passes to keep him busy.”
“Luca.”
‘We’ll talk about it later,” Luca whispers as he leans in.
His hand moves from your cheek to the back of your neck as he kisses you. Already halfway in his lap, you lean forward and press your chest to his to return the affection. Your hands move to Luca’s shoulders, and you grip his shirt gently as you push yourself closer to him.
The door opens, and you pull away from Luca quickly as someone asks, “Is this why you didn’t want me to come home?”
“Street, what are you doing here?” Luca asks as he gently moves your legs off of his and stands.
“I forgot?”
“Any other night I would believe that,” Luca says.
He’s standing in front of you, but you peek around his side and wave. You introduce yourself and say hello to Street as he waves in return.
“Why are you back?” Luca asks again.
“I got tired, and Chris kind of convinced me that it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to come back early. I swear, Luca, I had no idea I was going to be interrupting.”
“Because I didn’t want to tell anyone yet!”
You stand and lay a hand on Luca’s back in an attempt to calm him down. Although you understand why he wants to wait, things don’t always work out like you want.
“I’m sorry, Luca,” Street says.
“Uh, Street?” you interrupt softly. “Do you want to keep a secret?”
“You want me to stay quiet about this? Absolutely; you don’t have to worry about that." He looks to Luca and adds, "I really am sorry, man.”
“Not exactly,” you say, though you look at Luca as you say it. “Want to start a book club?”
“I knew it,” Street says through his teeth.
Tumblr media
“You guys want to come over for dinner?” Luca invites.
“Are you cooking?” Hondo asks quickly.
“Yeah, I am.”
“Then, I’m in.”
“Sure,” Deacon agrees. “I just have to be home by nine.”
“Nobody envies that, Deac,” Hondo teases.
“I’m down, too,” Tan says.
“Sounds good,” Chris adds.
“Alright. Come over whenever you’re ready, but food should be done in about an hour,” Luca calls over his shoulder.
“Bring your own silverware, I’m not doing dishes,” Street demands.
“Sure thing, playboy,” Victor says.
Tumblr media
“Hello?” Street asks as he opens the door.
“Kitchen,” you call. “Are you aware that it’s still your house?”
“Doesn’t mean you have to feel uncomfortable or stay confined to Luca’s room.”
You smile and when Street raises his hands in question, you ask, “Are you ever going to let them know that you’re not a playboy anymore?”
“And lose all my credit and the best nickname I’ve ever had? Not likely, future Mrs. Luca.”
“Now that is the best nickname I’ve ever had.”
“Streeter!” Luca calls.
“Second best,” Street whispers before leaving your side to help Luca.
“How well do you think this is going to go, Duke?” you ask as you follow him into the living room.
“This is the only book that I could find seven copies of,” Luca explains as he dumps a bag of paperbacks on the coffee table.
“Bridgerton?” you read. “Luca, did you think maybe there was a reason there were so many?”
“It’s good enough for a TV show,” Street says.
He picks one up and begins reading the blurb on the back, and you watch his face go from curious to confused to disinterested and disgusted.
“Not good enough for a S.W.A.T. team,” you explain. “And now poor Street is scarred for life.”
“Good thing we’re not reading it,” Luca says. “They’re going to figure out far before they gain any interest in the book.”
Street shudders as he steps back from the books, and you laugh before returning to the kitchen. Luca is making dinner, but you claimed dessert and two different options are cooling on the counter. The doorbell rings and Street walks to the door as Luca arranges the books. You run into Luca’s bedroom to hide and wonder if Street will be able to keep a secret long enough to pull off the book club gag.
“Hey, Deac,” Luca greets. “Come on in.”
“Is your girlfriend here?” Deacon asks.
“How do you do that?” Street exclaims.
“Dude,” Luca sighs. “Yeah, she’s here.”
“The book club bit is a nice touch,” Deacon applauds. “Worst book you could have chosen though.”
“I agree,” Street says dramatically.
“Annie couldn’t finish these books.”
“Understandable.”
The doorbell rings again, and Deacon and Street quiet as the rest of 20 Squad enters the Luca/Street abode. With all of them talking over one another, you can’t tell how the conversation is going.
“Why is there an extra book?” Hondo asks. “Did you miscount for this joke or is that part of it?”
“No, there’s seven of us,” Luca answers.
“Me, you, Street, Tan, Deac, and Chris. That’s six, my man.”
“Plus, my girlfriend.”
Hondo, Tan, and Chris freeze. Luca expected a louder reaction, so the stunned silence is a surprise.
“Are we going to stand here in suspense, or do we get to meet her?” Deacon asks finally.
“Hi,” you say as you walk into the living room. “I’m-“
Halfway through your introduction, 20 Squad finds their voice again and Hondo, Chris, and Tan begin speaking over one another again to ask you questions. Street steps up and raises his hands to stop them.
“I can answer any questions you have about her. Because I’m a great roommate, and Luca’s best friend, and I already know her,” he says proudly.
“What’s her favorite book?” Luca asks.
“I can say with absolute certainty that it is not Bridgerton,” Street answers. He looks at you quickly to ask, “Right?”
“That is correct,” you affirm.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Deacon says as he shakes your hand. “Sorry Street was the welcome committee.”
“If I get to see Street, I get to see Duke, so it’s a win,” you tease.
“Okay, okay, let’s go back,” Hondo interjects. “How long have you been together?”
“Almost six months,” Luca replies.
“Six months? And we haven’t heard a thing? Luca, what did we do to deserve this?”
Luca glances at Chris, who is pulling you away from Deacon and talking so quickly you probably can’t understand anything.
“The interrogation I knew she’d get, mostly. No offense, Hondo, but when we’re all together it’s a lot to take in.”
“I get that, man, but you could have told us. We’re family.”
“I’m telling you now. With food.”
“Touché.”
“She’s going to be around for a long time, though,” Luca promises.
“I’m happy for you, man. Just let me know before you pop the question, would you?”
“I do have a ring,” Luca murmurs.
“Next book club, she ain’t here and we talk about that little piece of information,” Hondo declares before leaving Luca to join the small circle around you.
After everyone leaves, and you accept an invitation to join Annie and Deacon for dinner next week, you fall back on the couch and lean against Luca. He wraps an arm around your shoulders and tugs you closer to him.
“You were right. They’re a lot, but it’s clear that they care about you, Luca. I’m glad you have friends – family – like them,” you say.
“And now they’re yours,” Luca replies, “for as long as you stay with me.”
“I like that sound of that.”
Duke jumps onto the couch beside you, and you pet his head. Luca imagines how different this will be when you have a ring on your finger and smiles.
“There is just one thing I’d like you to do,” you request.
“Anything.”
“Pick a better book next time. Something by Michael Connelly or Doyle, anyone-“
Luca cuts you off with a kiss, and you both pretend not to hear Street tiptoe behind you to eat more brownies.
