Apparently, the last hurricane didn't do enough damage to my area, so a second one has it out for you.

Really just hoping my power doesn't go out for long. The last time it happened, a candle broke and we struggled to put the fire out.. everyone and the house came out of it fine, but the fire extinguisher was not where it was when we moved in.

On the bright side, the flowers are about to be absolutely stunning.

Louisiana clearing his throat and Florida not so gentle nudge paused him back to the reality, blushing he cleared his throat and nodded.

"Yes that's our shared house, we have other roommates and such-but anyway, how bad is the damage?" Cal asked with hesitation clear in their voice.

"Well good news is that damage was swiftly contained just to the kitchen and parts of living room"

"But?"

"But, it is concerning that despite the sprinklers being installed, they didn't go off nor did the smoke alarm"

"Oh! I know why!" Florida spoke brightly which made even Loui a tad uneasy and Cal hoped for the earth to split open and swallow him whole, "I took the batteries out and messed with the system!"

"Mai sha!"

"I-what?"

"Flo!!!! Why???"

"It made shrilling noises when I tried to do open flame roast gator tail! And sprinklers only killed whatever fire I had going!" Florida huffed and pouted as he kicked some rocks away "and it was supposed to be nice surprise dinner for Loui!"

"No!!! Not aww!!!! We have designated backyard area for stuff like this for a reason! And I know you you use it! Real reason Flo!" Cal glared at Florida, nostrils flaring in anger.

"..... Fine, late night booze making with few others which. When we were burning some of the flavours into alcohol the smoke detector would go off but we didn't want Gov on our asses so I messed with it"

"Of course you di-" Capitan interrupted Cal incoming rant and brought them back on to topic at hand.

"... Right that was very informative but I'm afraid I might need to get LAPD involved. At least to confirm that it was just cookies this time aaand if there was some alcohol making, then we'll, I sure hope it was for fuel" Captain gave them a smile and wink.

Louisiana chuckled at that whilst Florida did full body cackle.

Group was once again startled by arrival of another firefighter who immediately got 'Cap' attention telling and pointing to something which gave the three states time to assess the situation and how to bullshit it to Gov.

Louisiana was content to just let Cal worry about all of that whilst he made sure that Florida wouldn't run off to bother one of his alligators² that arrived to the scene in the cop car which made the captain leave to greet them when their original distractor made... well, even bigger distraction.

"I knew I recognised your voices!" The man with strange birthmark over one of his eyes exclaimed triumphantly whilst pointing wildly at them. "I saw you two at some of the bars I bartender when I was in Louisiana and Florida!" Which, not like they could dispute it or anything cause he and Florida would be too drunk to remember anyway. "And you! I helped you" the young man pointed wildly at confused California "I helped you hitchhike away from your arson case! And that body over cliff burning! Man you gotta spill how you did that!"

Cal gaped, Florida froze, then gasped dramatically at Cal and Louisiana just raised his eyebrows at the new titbit of information they just received.

"uh well-"

"FLORIDA WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

"COOKIES!!!"

Well then, time to face the music-

"IN THE NAME OF ALL THATS HOLY WHY?!"

"BECAUSE SONIC!!!"

"oH!!!! AND AND!!!" Florida pounced on Gov, nearly making them both tumble to the ground. "Cal may be a murderer! So we need more celebratory cookies!!!"

Look I know that the Sanderson sisters were cruel I know that they were evil and they did awful things. But were they not once three little girls with no parents. I personallh think it's ideal for parents to be deeply involved in their kids' lives. After all, who better to provide you gudiance and advice? Who knows what to avoid or how to do something safely? Who has experience they can share? It's a liberating thing, being able to talk to a trusted adult about anything from bullying to sex.

But more than anything, it comes back to a simple fact - everyone can be a parent, but not everyone should be.

And as someone who had both an exemplary and atrocious parent, sometimes you've got to cut your losses. And for good parents who have bad parent spouses, trust me here - going along with your partner's shitty parenting to keep the peace is a trap. If they're wrong or overreacting, you have to defend your kids. Because one day that shitty partner will be gone, but your kids will not forget that you abandoned them when they needed you.

God I truly do not give a shit about "parents rights to be involved in their children's lives" It's not about safety its about abuse and transphobia

I thought about this a bit. Every Sakura I write is very in touch with her emotions and doesn’t shy away from her feelings. She’s always striving to understand herself. I think this is a frequent hc for me.

As for a hc I can’t get behind ... that Sakura is a very violent person! I do think she’s hot headed, and I know in canon she reacts with punching Naruto every time he annoys her, but I kind of just viewed it as a comic relief. I don’t headcanon her as a violent person.

For one think Jesus never said anything about tattoos.

Its an old testament thing, which if I remember correctly was about this idea of identification with a specific group with another religion.

Anyways like everything people take it too far. I personallh don't think piercing or tattoos reflect anyone's ability, but I'd be liar if I said I tgought they looked professional. I am picky about that stuff (I don't even think hats are professional, and don't like them in the classroom). That said, just because I wouldn't do it and don't like it, doesn't mean i dont take what the person says or does seriously. I might think it's unprofessional, but that doesnt mean that they aren't still contributing to thier profession and aren't a valuable voice.

Also, my ugh for tatoos and piercing is not religiously or society motivated. I never liked piercings of any kind after mom forced me to pierce my ears. Let those close as soon as I was able too and I hate needles so I feel tattoos are gross. But again my personal feelings are not a reflection of a person's capability.

That also said I will take away a hat wore in class. I wouldn't make someone with a piercing do that or someone with a tattoo cover up, but i will take that hat away.

Its quite a confusing thing.

Tattoos were used for the sole purpose of identifying the different tribes in different countries in Africa, Samoa, India, China, Philippines, and several other places. Then here comes the colonizers with white Jesus claiming it was barbaric.

I had a conversation with my grandma about dating, marriage, and kids because of an issue my friends was going through.

All I said was that I myself do not care if someone smokes weed daily, but I would never date them or marry them. My grandma approved but she twisted my reasons and so I had to check that.

I wouldn't date or marry them because while I dont care, where I live it is illegal. You can loose you job and get you kids taken away because of that and I am not going to date, marry, or have kids with someone who i would be paranoid at something my lose their job or get the kids taken away if they get caught.

Second I dont smoke or drink of any kind. Not for religious or health reasons i just personallh dont like the stuff. So I don't find those habits attractive or enjoy being around people when they do them, so that means I would not be a good partner for someone that enjoys those things, does them daily, or etc.

I told my grandma that to me it is no different than a persons political beliefs or religious beliefs, if I feel something strongly and we disagree, I dont care if I like other things about them, we aren't going to work and we should just end it asap.

She looked at me like I was crazy and said that those things you shouldn't talk about until way later on in a relationship.

I looked at her like she was crazy and said, nah I am not going to date someone a month or 3 months before finding out they are a trump supporter. No thank you. And she said you can always work through those difference, not everyone has the same political beliefs as their spouse.

And I responded that those people don't really believe what the claim then.

Because my thing is there are some political and religious beliefs that if you truly believe them conflict fundamentally with who you treat people and are indicative of your morals.

If someone told me on a date that they think gay people are going to hell....scratch that let's do something more subtle that I've heard. If someone told me that they don't have a problem with gay people, they just don't understand why they have to come for business and churches that don't approve of them, then I could never ever ever in a million years make it work with that person.

Because I believe people of all creeds, colors, religions, genders, and sexual orientations deserve to be treated equally and with human dignity and that they have the right and responsibility to speak out against injustices.

You don't agree you immexiatly become trash in my mind.

Now of the person believed that and said, but i think both parties havent done anything for these communities thats substantial and thats why I dont identify with either party. Thags something I could work with because while I am a Democrat I dont care about the party but what you actually believe and advocate for. Although party membership can be indicative of certain beliefs.

Then I ended overall by saying I dont want to waste my time anyways being with someone who I will fight tooth and nail with over these issues, and I guess it doesn't really matter for me because I dlnt like to be touched, I dont want to get married, and I dont want kids.

And she said if I talk like that on dates I am off putting.

Ya'll I'm off putting, and i don't care. Having a relationship is not worth abandoning or suppressing my convictions.

Okay maybe I dont have to be so fiery, but if you don't get it then i don't want you in my life. I already have toxic and super traditional family members, I want my personal circle to be different.
