When you call my name. Do you think i'll come running? {Part 2}
+ if we were meant to be we would have been by now.
+with the fire that you started in me, but never came back to put it out. Watch my heart burn.
Warning: indecent language, slow burn, sadness, grief, anger/rage, frustration, insomnia, confused, death, fear, forgivness,fluff. Sorry if this is a bit long😭
Want to read part 1? : Part 1
You woke up the next morning feeling completely cold, you were shivering like crazy. You were positive you didn't have a cold. You rubbed the sleep from your eyes and sat up in bed. You sighed as you looked over at the time. Only 30 minutes to get ready. You groaned as you got up and stretched. You walked over to the bathroom and showered. When you returned from the bathroom you saw winter clothes in a bag waiting for you along with a note.
- good morning y/n, I trust you slept well, first nights were hard for everyone, my dear. The lady wishes to speak to you. - headmaiden Elizabeth sepol.
You half smiled at the letter and threw it in the bin. As you were getting dressed you couldn't help but wonder why on earth lady dimitrescu would want to speak with you. There was no reason for her to speak to you. You sighed and walked out your room locking it behind you. You noticed that everyone was dressed the same, probably because of the weather conditions.
You walked towards the elevator, watching as Leah and her small group of friends are giving you dirty looks.
" she's gonna be the lady's next bottle of wine soon girls. She'll call it the 'clumsy newbie" Leah whispered playfully causing the other girls around her to laugh.
"And the only reason why your probably still here is because the lady doesn't like drinking idiots blood" a voice rang from behind you. You turned to see a girl that looks like Leah glaring at her. They're probably sisters you thought to yourself.
" the fuck you just say to me bitch?" Leah spat walking towards the girl behind pushing you away. You saw Leah swing her fist at the girl and the other girl pulling her hair before someone pulled you into the elevator. You yelped as the doors shut. You turned around to see Sarah.
" it's better to not be there while their fighting or you'll get framed as a participant, which is pretty fucked up if you ask me" she chuckled. You liked Sarah, she was brunette with beautiful green eyes, perfect lashes, good eyebrows, pump lips and she was around 40. You wanted to look like her when you get to her age. She was absolutely breath taking. She was also very kind. You'd say kinder than Elizabeth.
"Does the lady punishes them?" You asked noticing how she's dressed in her usual attire.
" no, but the guards does, their like the police around here. You get into a fight and your thrown into the 'dark room' for 48 hours, no food, no water and no light. The lady says it helps them think about their actions" Sarah said chuckling as she fixed her hair.
Of course alcina wants everyone to think about their bad actions but what about hers. She's trying to play goodie too shoes and she murders people. And has the audacity to tell people to 'think about their actions'. She has to be a maniac.
" so why aren't you dressed like us?" You asked her.
"I can handle the cold darling, unlike some people" she responded, mumbling the last 3 words. You wanted to ask her what she means but another question crosses your curious mind.
"How long have you been working here?" You asked turning back to face her. You could see that the question brought up memories for her, and not the best ones.
" quite some time.... for as long as i can remember honestly" she said coldly, looking down at the floor.
" I'm sorry, if I overstepped " you said softly, she looked at you quickly and shook her head reassuring you it's ok. She heard the way your voice cracked, she knew there was something else bothering you. She gently placed her hand on the lower part of your back, rubbing it slightly.
" don't pay Leah any mind y/n, she's like this with every newbie. As crazy as it sounds she's actually looking out for you. Making sure you don't slip up more than you need too. We've all seen some fucked up shit go on in here, and hate if it happened to you too" she spoke Truthfully, smiling. But it didn't reach her eyes.
You couldn't help the questions from coming. You had to know.
"Did lady dimitrescu killed your parents? Lover, friend maybe?" You asked narrowing your eyes. You can see that the question caught Sarah off guard, it stabbed her brutally, your question hit her like a Breck wall. And in her reaction you found your answer, though you didn't know which it was, but you knew lady dimitrescu killed someone she loved more than herself and the wound most definitely still hurt.
Sarah tried her best to keep her tears at bay, flash backs were all she saw now. She wasn't mad at you, but at no one. What happened was a long time ago and it was an accident.
"I'm sorry, i- I definitely overstepped now, I'm s-" she cut you off by caressing your cheek.
"Lady dimitrescu is a good lady y/n... despite all the fucked up things she's done and still do in the history of the universe... she's a kind heart woman, never forget that" Sarah spoke, voice breaking. The elevator ding and the doors opened to the hall of lady dimitrescus private headquarters.
You stepped out and looked back at Sarah who had a soft smile on her face.
" she's good" she whispered before the doors closed again. You couldn't help but stand there. Frozen. This was all so confusing. Did lady dimitrescu kill every maids lover? Parents?...And even if she did they still have the heart to work for her?. Are theses people nuts you thought to yourself. How can she be good. After all thoses lives she took. She's still good. Why.
There's so much back story to everything here at the dimitrescu castle and you wanted to know everything. Even if it's too painful to handle. Because what goods does alcina do that covers all of her bads. You realized you've been standing in the same spot for 5 minutes now and decided to head to the lady's study.
On the door laid a gold plate. Countess Alcina dimitrescu. Above had four torches and the dimitrescu coat of arms in sliver.
"She's a good woman" echoed in your head over and over again. You missed the lady's voice when she said enter that you just pushed the door and go in. Praying that she said to enter. As you entered the heat radiating from the room hit your body.
The lady's study was beautiful. Everything was made of fine gold or perfect chiped wood. Her study screamed royalty or even old money vibes.
Your eyes flicked around the room, admiring everything. How it's all well put together and neat. You didn't notice the lady's preying eyes on you. She found your admiration intriguing and adorable. You were different from the rest maids. No maid as ever looked at her office the way you do. She was curious about you, and she was willing to take her time and find out more about you.
" tell me when your finish draga" she spoke. You immediately snapped out of your trance and looked over at her. She was looking through papers and now and then looking up at her computer, her reading glasses on the bridge if her nose and the blue light from, the computer creating a beautiful hue on her face. She looked eternal. You traced back to her words, "tell me when your finish draga". Her voice was so soft and elegant.
How was she not mad at you for wasting her time? You took a seat in a chair infront of her desk and looked at her carefully.
" you requested my presence, my lady. You wished to speak with me?" You asked, watching as she looked up but not to look at you but at her computer. Last night she only wanted to look at you and now she refuses to look at anything that has you in it.
The silence began to get awkward. She could feel the nervousness radiating off you and your heart beat increasing by the second. She finally decides to look up at you. Staring into your soul over her reading glasses. You were fidgeting with your coat and bouncing your leg, you mouth slightly agape letting out cold air.
" do I scary you y/n?" She asked, sliding her chair out from her desk and clasping her hands together. You looked up at her to see her already looking at you. She wanted to know everything about you but she kept her questions at bay. She regrets not getting a record book from you when you signed up for the job. She has record books for everyone except for you. Maybe if her younger brother Karl didn't play with her head the day you sighed up she would now know alittle bit about you. How she hated Karl more now...
" Your a very.... your one of a kind my lady. Your not very different from us humans.... I think what do makes you different though is very fascinating.... it makes you special and with that specialty my lady comes great fear from others because we know what your capable of" you spoke bravely. You didn't know where you found the words to answer her question. You just spoke from your heart and you were happy.
" so no my lady I'm not scared of you..... I'm sacred of the power you hold. There's a different...." You spoke again. Alcina's mouth opened to say something but she quickly closed it. Processing the spectacular answer you just gaved her. The more she looked at you the more curious she became. Why aren't you like the other maids. What makes you different. It surely isn't your bravery..... no it's something more.
You were like gold in her eyes. Treasure. A valuable asset in her life now. No maid as every answer her question like that. It was always no my lady although they're clearly lying or yes my lady. No one has every gaved a answer like yours. In you she found hope. You were special.
After looking at you for some time she spoke up.
" Well then, today I need you to grab some wood from the forest. It's going to be cold tonight and unlike some, others can't handle it" she spoke firmly. She was the second person to say that to you. Who were they referring to you really had no idea.
" with all due respect my lady I'm new I don't know much as yet do you really think that's the best idea" you said slightly leaning over her desk. Lady dimitrescu raised her eyebrow and narrowed her eyes at you. She slowly stood from her chair and leaned close to your face, towering over you. Your lips not even centimeters away from touching. You couldn't help your eyes when they flicked down to her cleavage.
She took your jaw into her hand and raised your face up, making you look into her eyes. Her pupils were dilated and there was some dark mystery in them. You've never been this close up to her. Looking into her eyes was like looking at the ocean. It was pure but dangerous. How the fuck is she so pure and she kills innocent people.
" don't be smart mouth with me little girl. I admire you. But your smart right? You'll figure it out" she spoke dominantly eyes darting down to your lips. They stayed there for a while before grazing back at your eyes. She just met you yet she felt herself wanting to say 'I love you'. love was a word she used to say years ago. Words that held strong feelings. But since life dropped her like a sack of potatoes she no longer found hope in thoses words.
She would only say them to her daughters. But deep down she didn't even know if she meant them. She was broken for so long, been in darkness for over centuries. And now you stepped into her castle. Into her life. She was beginning to see light.
And you couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She wasn't the monster everyone said she was. No she's a mother. Someone who taught their life was worth more, going to be more. Before the rain of darkness started and never ended.
She saw sympathy and pity in your eyes. She saw..... love? She let go of your jaw and proceeded back to her seat. She placed her reading glasses back on her face and went back to her papers and computer.
" when you returned, inform me so I know you didn't die. Oh and close the door on your way out" she spoke coldly. You heart whinced at the tone of voice. You wished she could stop shouting people out. You looked at her one last time. She wasn't helpless at all.
You sighed as you left and close the door behind you. Alcina let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding and closed her eyes for a moment. Rubbing her temple.
You walked back down the alley way and into the elevator. While the doors were closing you saw a fly come out the the peak hole of the lady's office. You narrow your eyes at it. Looking at how it flew wildy. Soon it flew right up to the door right before it was going to close and you heard"BOO" you screamed and it laughed. The fly literally laughed.
" CASSANDRA!" You heard alcinas voice yell and the fly quickly turned into a girl. Her daughter. You looked at her in awe. She smirked at you before turning into a fly again and disappeared. The doors shut and the elevator started to move.
~
You grab an axe from the storage unit and open the door to go outside.
" wow where are you going princess, there's a snow storm passing. The wind will blow you away" spoke a voice from behind you. You turned around to see the same girl from earlier who defended you against Leah. She looked good. Like she never got into a fight.
You smiled softly at her.
" aren't you supposed to be in the 'dark room?" You asked and she chuckled slowly making her way towards you. She gently placed her hand on your shoulder, looking at you intensely while biting her lip.
" I'm emily by the way, you must be y/n" she spoke giving you her hand to shake. You gladly took it and shook it.
" because of the storm tonight everyone needs to be on duty to protect the girls so they can't have anyone in dark room" she said Slightly shivering as the wind blew inside. You quickly closed it and raised an eyebrow.
" who girls?" You asked Dumbly every maid and worker was a female but you needed to know exactly who she was referring to.
" the lady's daughters. They can't survive in the cold, hence the reason why there're always in their rooms. It has to be really hot for them or they'll die. Think of it as a allergy. That's why the lady is so freaked out. They say she's been trying to work on a cure for them for years but mother miranda stopped it, said she didn't care. But hey you didn't hear this from me ok?" She said looking at you seriously. This was one background story unlocked and you were itching to find out more.
"Yeah of course I mean I'm no snitch. Who's mother miranda?" You asked and emily shush you and pulled you into a little corner.
" she's just a random bitch who the black god blessed with very powerful powers and rules the village. I heard she's heartless. She kills for fun. Also she's very close with the lady, disrespect the lady you disrespect her. No bad deeds goes unpunished by her. She's not as friendly as alcina trust me. But as time goes by you'll find out more." She whispered.
You were completely stunned by who this miranda woman was. You never heard of her before. And now you heard who she was, you couldn't help but think if lady dimitrescu was the person you saw kill your friends. You felt so confused. You didn't even notice that emily was still talking.
" Hello? Earth to y/n. I asked where your going?" She asked looking at you weirdly, you were so lost in thought.
" I gotta go, um to get wood for the fireplaces, I'll be back" you said re-opening the doors to go outside.
" ok, don't let the lycans bite" she chuckled, closing the door behind you. You turned around quickly. Don't let the what bite?. You sighed as you opened the fence gate and walked out into the forest. You picked up some wood that fell from the weight of the snow and threw them into the barrel.
You saw someone running towards your direction in the distance and you narrowed your eyes.
" what the fuck?" You whispered, your teeth slightly chattering from the cold. As the figure came a little closer you saw that it looked like a zombie. You let out a very loud high pitched scream making the creature smile wickly and apparently run faster. You kept screaming and started to run quickly pushing the barrel with you.
You slipped and fell hitting your head hard against a wood. Your world started to spin, you couldn't even register the pain throbbing through your head but you knew it was there. You heard the creature get closer and closer and then you blacked out.
You woke up and quickly stood up. The whiplash making your cry out softly in pain. You looked around and saw no one. The barrel still had the wood. You groaned as you quickly walked back to the castle. You almost died. Your tried to remember what happened. All you could recall was seeing a zombie, falling and alcina being the last word to leave your lips, only person on your mind.
You opened the gate and locked it behind you, same with the door. The guards took the barrel of wood from you and you slowly walked up the stairs. Holding the back of your head. The world seemed blurred and loud. Like it was all just background noise.
" hey newbie, the lady wishes to see you" shouted a maid from the library door. You whimpered as her tone of voice made your head hurt more.
You pressed the elevator door button and got in. When you arrived in the hallway again you took your time and walked towards the big fancy wood door.
Your head finally feeling a bit better. As you approached the door you heard soft cries. You carefully stood aside and peaked through the space that was open. There was alcina sitting in her couch next to the window with her daughter. It wasn't Daniela, the girl you saw on the first day, or Cassandra the one who scared you.
This one looked more humble, more settled atleast you thought so. She had short blonde hair with black in the roots and she was wearing a black dress with a hoodie coat over it. Black lipstick to match and weird jewelry choice. She was all cradled up in alcinas arms crying.
" I d-don't wanna die m-mommy, I'm c-cold" she mumbled, alcina kissed her forehead gently she started to slightly shake her. She started singing a lullaby to her in Romanian while running her hands through her hair. She wiped her tears and lifted her chin.
" it's gonna be ok draga mea. I sent someone to get you and your sisters woods for the night. You won't die" she whispered a tear falling from her eye. You've never once seen alcina this.... vulnerable. Calm and kind. Under all that cruel act, cold heart she only just a mother..... a mother who cared. A mother who loved. A mother who provides. A mother who protects. She wasn't a monster. She's human. Maybe not like the rest of us, but she just like us. Because she has feelings....
Bela turned into flies and disappeared. Alcina cleared her throat and returned to sit behind her desk.
" you can enter draga" she shouted. You walked in and closed the door. You walked up to her desk and sat.
" how is your head injury?" She asked looking at you gently. She really does care.
" how did you know?" You asked. Shifting uncomfortably, her gaze was giving you goosebumps.
" I heard you heartbeat draga mea, I heard your scream, I heard when your heart beat went calm again. And I knew. I just knew you got hurt." She spoke softly.
" what are thoses things out there" you asked glancing at the window and back at her. She chuckled. It sounded so beautiful and relaxing.
" that doesn't concern you for right now, you won't be in they're reached" she spoke, looking over at her computer.
" Well it inflicted harm to my safety so i have every right to know" you spoke, your tone slightly high and powering.
Alcina looked at you shunned by your backlash but yet no anger formed in her towards you.
"You may leave" she spoke softly, picking up her pen she started to flick through papers. Why was she so nice to you.
" you know I was the one who got away" you whispered getting up to leave. Alcinas eyes went dark. She began to have flash backs. She whispered a small 'oh' and looked at you sorrowful. She regretted it.
" y/n-" she tried to call out but you were already gone. You didn't needed her apology, some how you already forgaved her. Now it's gonna take alot of convincing to make your mom cancel the plan.
You returned to your room and went to bed. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.....

bones and all +hq! (anyone) just something super fucked up with lots of blood 💋🫀
this was so sexyyyy idk I’m very into gross icky blood stuff rn
tw murder, gore, yandere
Red coats the walls. It splatters out into grasping hands with each brutal blow, baseball bat full of nails shattering the bone below it until the whining dies down. Along with the frantic screaming, and you sink to your knees at the sight. Within seconds, your housemate has been reduced to a heap of meat and bone and sinew, leaving her coppery tang in the air. Your legs have buckled, and now you’re on the cold floor, there’s nothing you can do but watch and shake.
The blood pools under her legs, because those are intact -upper body too. But gunk and brain matter is spilled on your floor, and the puddle of red gains surface the longer you stare, trying not to hurl your guts out. If you could look away you would. If you could run, you would. A low puff of air sounds, before the invader turns on his heel and stares you down. “There she is.” It’s faint, almost apologetic in its delivery. He pulls the mask down his mouth as he wipes the back of his hand over his face.
Your hands shake uncontrollably in your lap, and the stinging in your face surges through your bones. Atsumu.
“Ya missed my entrance,” he’s got a grin on his face - but his eyes are so blown out it’s hard to believe it really is him. For a few moments, he looks entirely, sickly unfamiliar. Not long enough to give you time to collect yourself before he approaches though, dragging the bloody bat along with him. “Sorry ‘bout yer little friend. Came at me with scissors… The bitch’s almost as wild as you are when yer upset.”
He has a frown on his face when he looks back, but the slightest curl to his lips doesn’t slip. His hands come up to hold onto your shoulder as he sighs. “So,” he lets out a soft hum, and then thumbs along your cheek with his hands still stained, bloodied as he touches you, “r’ya ready ta go?” You can’t help but feel bad. Even moving your eyes up to look at him feels like it’s taking all the energy you have.
This is all your fault. Atsumu came for you. You’d signed the papers and found a friend to live with, and you had hoped that would’ve been enough - but you didn’t think… you- Nao tried to protect you, and now shes gone. There was a time you would’ve trusted Tsumu with your life. “Y-you,” your throat locks up when you say it, and the wobbly vision gets too much, spilling over, “wh-what did you do? Why?”
The blond barely pulls up his nose, before giving you a look. “Didn’t ya hear me? I came in through the window an’ she came at me. Couldn’t be helped.” The way his hand is still around the makeshift weapon somehow doesn’t convince you of his perceived innocence. Almost as soon as you think that, he follows your gaze, and slowly starts chuckling as he realizes the same thing. “Baby doll…”
You scramble. Atsumu drops the bat to crash himself into you and grab at your arms, but one well aimed kick onto his knee has him wincing, and it gives you just enough time to get up and dash towards the door. That also means running through the pool of liquid slowly drying on the floor, but your vision’s so blurry that you don’t even register it. You slip as you slam the door behind you and Tsumu curses— your heart’s pumping so hard you don’t hear it.
Not until someone gets a fistful of your hair and yanks you back so hard you think your scalp might come clean off. Until you land in the cold gravel and a foot pushes into your soft throat. Tsumu’s able to make it out narrowly before your vision starts blurring at the edges, and you claw at the limb for air. “Samu, ya’ll hurt ‘er.” As soon as you get a tiny bit of leeway you’re grabbing at the skin and hacking up spit, painfully tight airways burning.
Osamu only glares back at the blond. “‘I got it covered, Samu. Don’t be a bore, Samu,’” he mocks, before crossing his strong arms over his chest. “Yer sloppy, ‘n lucky I was ‘ere ta stop ‘er.”
“Yea, yea,” the other man sighs, before he crouches by you and lovingly brushes your hair away from your face. “Yer cute when ya try so hard, y’know. Gets us going.” He snickers, then raises a brow. “Samu won’t admit it but it gets him goin’ too. But next time ya get caught… we’ll take one of yer fingers. That’s only fair.”

1:04 AM ~ *Taiju Shiba*
Summary: You’ve made the 10th generation leader of the Black Dragons soft. Now you must pay the price. But you’re not scared.
Pairing: Taiju Shiba X Fem!Reader
Genre: Angst Drabble
Word Count: 530
Warning: mentions murder, bad swearing, blood, hurt to comfort, no one dies but it comes close.
Masterlist
A/N: I just want to try something.
The switchblade pressed against your throat was cold to the touch. You were completely frozen due to the cold steel against your jugular. However, you were as calm as could be. You weren’t worried as the person holding the blade pressed a little harder.
“The fuck do you think you’re doing?”
Taiju was pissed but he only showed it on his face. His posture was relaxed, his arms folded over his broad chest. You kept your eyes trained on his closed eyes.
Everything was okay.
“This bitch has made you soft. I’m just removing an obstacle.”
“No, you’re touching something that’s mine.” He snapped. “You draw a single drop of blood and I’ll bury you six feet under.”
See? Everything was fine.
“We could be great! Legends even! And yet you let this whore get in our way! She has to go!”
“She’s not going anywhere.” Taiju’s voice was deadly calm but razor sharp. “Now let her go.”
“I WON’T!” He pressed harder. A drop of blood dripped down your throat. Your breath hitched.
Taiju’s face turned murderous. “Hakkai.”
The blade jerked across your throat.
It then slashed down your clavicle before being pulled away from you entirely. Your knees gave out and you crumpled to the floor. Instantly, Taiju was by your side. You barely heard the gunshot behind you. Your hands pressed to your throat, assessing the damage.
You were pulled into Taiju’s strong arms and you realized you’ve never seen him so worried in his entire life. Tears were even welling in his eyes. But you were shaking too much from the adrenaline rush to hold his face and reassure him.
“Oh my God, are you okay? Please tell me you’re okay! You have to be okay!”
“I’m fine.” Your voice was hoarse. “I’m fine, Taiju. It was a superficial cut across the throat. It didn’t hit anything. The one across my clavicle will need stitches though. He still didn’t hit anything. I’m just going into shock.”
He shook his head. “God, I hate how you know so much about this shit. Hakkai! Get the car! We have to get to the hospital!”
Hakkai’s footsteps fade away and you try to touch Taiju’s face. He grabbed your hand softly and placed it back over your wound. “Don’t. Don’t move. You need to be okay.”
“I will. Just keep me awake. Kiss me like a princess if you have to.”
He rolled his eyes. “You’re so stupid.”
“You’re stupid for not stopping him before.”
“He would have killed you!”
“No, he wouldn’t have. You would’ve stopped him.” You stared deep into his eyes as you said, “I know you, Tai. You would have stopped him from hurting me. And you did. You saved me.”
Taiju shook his head. “No, you still got hurt. You’re going into shock. You could still-”
“I’m not.” You snapped. “I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying right here with you until we go to the hospital. So just keep holding me tight and don’t let me go.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it.”
Hakkai popped up behind his brother’s shoulder and the two of them helped you to the hospital. You went under anesthesia and woke up in a quiet room, Taiju staring out the window. When he saw you were awake, he squeezed your hand and told you you were going to be fine.
“And now I’ll have cool scars.” You smiled, squeezing his hand back. “Also, I’ll look like Frakenstein for a while. Isn’t that cool, Tai?”
He glared at you. “Shut the hell up. You’re in the hospital and it’s all my fault.”
“You shut up. We’ve been over this. Everything turned out okay. We just need to be more careful in the future, that’s all.”
He sighed and dropped to his knees, his forehead pressed against your clasped hands. “I hate you. I should leave you and never see you for the rest of my life. You are the worst thing to ever happen to me.”
Threading your fingers through his hair, you whispered, “But you love me too much. And I love you too. We’ll figure this out. We’re going to be okay.”
“You’re going to be okay. I’m never seeing you again.”
Chuckling, you shook your head. “You would never.”
He didn’t say anything. The two of you stayed like that until you fell asleep. He walked out of your hospital room and didn’t come back.
But you know Taiju. When you were ready to be discharged, he’d be right there by your side.
Because he would never leave you behind.

Could you write a fic where Sam and Tara seem finally happy, they’ve just finished up their meal at a pizza place that is just a lil bit too cheap to not raise an eyebrow and are now walking home to their apartment before they get bombarded by conspiracy theorists. They go to hassle Sam aggressively shoving her and interrogating her before Tara charges at the theorist, knocking them over and pummelling their face with punches. This protection doesn’t come free,though as the theorists grab Tara and beat her up while same is unable to help. Sam’s guilt would drive her crazy after this
“Loomis”-
————————————————-
“You know, for someplace that only had two stars on Yelp, that hit!”
Sam threw her head back and laughed, pulling her sister in for a side hug. The pair had just finished eating at Guido’s Pizzeria, a family restaurant down the block from their new place. Tara had begged to try it, even though the Yelp reviews were dismal. So they did.
Kissing the side of Tara's head, Sam sighed. “You know, it wasn’t half-bad. The tomato sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but I’d try it again,”.
Tara hummed. “The garlic bread was good. I love garlic bread,”.
“I know you do, my love. I know you do,”.
Sam was so busy fussing with Tara's jacket that she didn’t notice the crowd of men approaching them.
That was her first mistake.
“Oh boys, look what we have here. The killer of Woodsboro!” crowed the ringleader, a shit-eating grin on his face.
Sam moved Tara behind her, eyeing the men forming a circle around her. The two sisters both had tasers and knives on them, but six full-grown men were surrounding them. They would have to be smart about this.
“I think you’ve heard wrong. I’m no such thing,” she carefully said, watching as one of the men started cracking his knuckles.
The ringleader laughed again, a cold, calculated laugh. Tara gripped her wrist harder, her hands shaking. Sam stood straighter, one hand in her coat pocket, grasping the knife hiding there.
He quickly got up in Sam’s face, grinning wider at how both sisters flinched. “No, I think I’m right. You’re the bitch who murdered all those people. And enjoyed it. You’re bold to walk around this city, Sam, the murderer,”.
She bristled, eyes darkening. “I’m not my father. But if you ask nicely, I’m sure I can do a good impersonation of his work. Now back up before I make you,” she growled.
Grinning, he got nose-to-nose with Sam. “I’d like to see you try, Loomis,.”
Her second mistake was not punching him first.
Instead, chaos erupted. Within a blink of an eye, Tara jumped on the guy, screaming that she was not like her father, and pummeled him with a barrage of punches. The other guys, along with Sam, were frozen in shock, watching the man get beat up by a five-foot girl.
Her third mistake was not reacting first.
As she reached down to pull Tara off the guy, the other boys regained their confidence quicker. Two guys yanked Sam up, forcing her to her knees, her arms behind her back. The other three easily plucked Tara off their ringleader, holding her up in the air by her armpits.
The ringleader got up, wiping blood off his nose. He pointed at Sam, and she smiled at the damage Tara had done, despite the fear running through her.
“I’m surprised you let your sister hit first. Maybe you’re not your father's daughter,”.
Tara squirmed in their grip, trying to get free. The ringleader smiled a cold, bone-chilling smile. Before he spoke, Sam connected the dots on what would go down.
“But somebody has to pay for the deaths in Woodsboro. And your sister will be our penance,”.
With that, he advanced on Tara, despite Sam’s pleas and Tara's squirming. Reaching into Tara's jacket pocket, he pulled out the pocketknife.
He waved the knife in Tara's face, smirking at her eyes widened with fear. “Aw. You were gonna use this on me, weren’t you? I wish you did. It would’ve made what would happen next more fun,”.
And with that, he punched Tara in the gut, and Sam let out a scream she never knew she could make.
She doesn’t remember much after that. For every two punches they threw at Tara, one was thrown at Sam. Eventually, she lost track, and Tara stopped crying out.
They gave up after a while, throwing down Sam and letting Tara's limp body hit the ground.
Fighting the urge to black out, Sam reached out for her baby sister. Tara was covered in blood, bruising blossoming over her closed eyes. She wasn’t moving, yet Sam could tell she was still faintly breathing.
The whole image of her sister tore Sam apart. It was yet again another bloodbath she could’ve stopped.
But what made Sam’s breath catch in her throat were the words that were scratched onto her sister’s arm.
Sam Loomis
—-
Sam doesn’t remember getting to the hospital. It was all so sudden.
Flashing lights, questions, and people strapping her down into a gurney.
“I need to see my sister. I need to be by her,” she gasped, wincing as the paramedic stuck a needle in her arm.
The paramedic gently pushed her down again, silencing her. “She’s in the other vehicle. I need you to lay down, Ms. Loomis,”.
She jerked back up, crying out at the pain in her ribs. “It’s not fucking Loomis. I’m Sam, Sam Carpenter!” she spat out.
“Okay, I’m sorry, Ms. Carpenter. My mistake. It was just written on your sister’s arm, that’s all,”.
Laying back, Sam felt woozy. The medication was hitting. Was that a sedative? She hasn’t been sedated in so long. Where was Tara? She should be here.
“Loomis,” she mumbled, drifting off into a drugged sleep for the rest of the ride.
——
“Listen, if you don’t let me see my fucking sister right now, I’ll add more bodies to my list. I swear to god!”
The nurse pushed Sam back down into the bed. “I told you, I’m not afraid to restrain you. Your sister is in the ICU recovering from surgery. No guests right now. Now sit!” she said crossly.
Sam threw her hands back in exasperation. “I’m already stuck in this fucking bed. I want to see her, please!”
She wasn’t above begging anymore. She was stuck in a hospital with her ribs wrapped in gauze and stitches above her eye- and heavily medicated. It wasn’t like she was going anywhere else besides her sister’s side.
“No, Sam. I’m sorry. Maybe later,” the nurse sympathetically said, closing the door softly behind her.
Groaning, Sam laid her head back against the bed. She fucked up. She fucked up tremendously. Once again, due to her lack of awareness, she had gotten the sisters into a perilous situation.
And once again, Tara was hospitalized.
It was as if Sam was incapable of being a protector. She is incapable of taking care of someone that depended on her.
Sam knew deep down that those men were right. She was a killer. She took after her father. She knew all that, and she knew it well.
But she always took pride in how much she loved Tara. How Sam could anticipate her needs, calm her fears, and make Tara feel loved. She knew she could provide that stable love and home Tara craved and deserved.
Yet again, Sam repeatedly proves to the world that she’s a complete and total fuck-up. Unable to take care of the one person who truly matters. She was a failure in all accounts of the world.
She kept her eyes closed and breathed slowly. Deep down, she knew that if she looked into her reflection, she would see Billy.
And he would smile back at her, thanking her for following in his footsteps.
Sam Loomis.

The types of animals people have sympathy for baffles me. You run over a squirrel with a car, nobody gives a shit. You let a fish suffocate in a cooler like most folk do while fishing, not a peep. But if you have the audacity to give an animal that folks find charismatic or relatable (typically larger mammals) a good, quick, clean death? Suddenly everyone loses their minds. It’s astounding to me that there are people who will gladly eat a pork chop they buy at a grocery store will then come at bitch about someone hunting invasive pigs. The invasive pig is the same goddamn thing but immensely more sustainable, and it probably lived a better life than the factory farmed pig in the refrigerator section of the grocery store anyways. And as an added bonus, they usually taste better! Literally where is the issue?
Nah yeah that's exactly how it is lmao. The funny part is that people call me cruel and shit, I've been called a monster and a murderer and cold-blooded and all that shit and it's at a point where it just doesn't get to me anymore. It's funny to think that the bloke what spends his days blowing out brains is the same bloke that pulls over to move a snake out of the track so it won't get hit by a driver who cares less than I do.
Funny part is that I actually get emotional when I hit an animal with my car. Reckon it's just not the same thing when you're anticipating it like when I'm working. It's only happened twice. First time was in NM when I hit a squirrel that ran across the road at the worst possible time. Felt horrible for a week after that. Second time was NSW near Dubbo with a wombat and I felt TERRIBLE. Pulled over, put my hazards on, got out, made sure it was dead, rolled it over, saw it was male, immediate sigh of relief because no pouched young. Then I dragged him off into a shady spot a few metres from the road near some bushes so any scavengers wouldn't be struck if they came to feed. I was only there for twenty minutes but I must've apologised to him two dozen times because I felt so bad about it and it was definitely my fault since I was tired but I was trying to get to Sydney ASAP and I feel bad just remembering it.
I also don't let fish suffocate, either in an esky or on the bank. If it's a carp it's getting thwacked and bled and left on the bank for the scavengers (fuck carp). If it's something I'm going to eat it gets thwacked and bled and gutted to eat.
And yeah, the supermarket meat vs hunted meat disparity is fucking hilarious to me. People also just don't realise where their food comes from. Had a woman bitch to me once about me being a roo shooter and when I asked her if she's ever eaten kangaroo she said she not only feeds it to her dog but that she also buys kangaroo steaks at Woolies but "that's different because it's farmed." We don't farm kangaroos in Australia. All kangaroo meat in the shops is sourced from wild animals and gotten to you by a roo shooter. Your steak? Roo shooter. Your dog food? Roo shooter. Your leather? Roo shooter.
People want to eat their meals and not think about where their food comes from or the fact it was a living animal once and that's the problem. If it's in an abattoir it's behind closed doors and they don't have to think about it. Nevermind the fact it's unsustainable and damaging to the environment--they don't want to think about it.

Pro Tip: Don’t follow the known vampire killers and assumed town heroes’ precious Strahd-wanted child, especially when one of them is also a known bitch and there is already a bad track record for spies, it will not go well
We let the vampire (her name is Lex) go for the time being after warning her against pulling this shit with us again... and then things got... interesting.
Night before Arabelle's 18th birthday, my death cleric offered her a chance to speak one more time with her father Luvash. It's a Seance, a very high lvl and unique ritual to call a spirit forward at its resting place and engage with them in a manner unlike Speak with Dead
But Barovia being what Barovia is and having already seen a Raise Dead go awry, Alkali warned the other cleric Mina and the artificer Tanner to be ready if something went wrong. Remarkably, it worked. Luvash came through and he and Arabelle could say their goodbyes
But something in the area was still off and before Luvash returned to the other side, Alkali asked him out of Arabelle's earshot what awaited him. Void and terror. So Tanner made a choice, Luvash was coming with them, outside of Barovia. "Alkali, keep the spell going."
With the ritual already fading, Alkali burned a 5th lvl to try and extend it, hurriedly amping up the circle while casting looks at Tanner who essentially just emptied his bag and got to work. Using the crystal ball he'd loaned for the ritual, a 2500gp obsidian and gold scepter, dimensional shackles, and more magic and vitality than he really should have, Tanner did what he does best: make things that defy nature.
In a sense, this 3rd lvl capable artificer cast a 4th lvl spell. Burning spell slots, hit die, and hp, with blood dripping from his eyes and nose, magic burning in his hands, and exhaustion weighing him down 3x over, he crafted a Ghost Lantern and ushered Luvash inside.
Meanwhile the gals were worriedly watching on as the shadows grew chaotic around them. By time Tanner picked up the lantern and said they should go, one shadow took form in their path, demanding in Celestial they return what they stole from it.
Translating, Alkali informed the creature that things were about to change in Barovia, starting with this. The shadows raged and other shadows began to form, including the shadow of Arrigal, Luvash's brother and murderer whom we had dealt with prior.
Dealing with so many ghosts we relied on a series of Spiritual Guardians, Dawn, and Cold of Cone to put a stop to them. But when wisps of shadow remained in icy statues at the end, Alkali could only remember the same wisps in amber tombs.
She approached the one Arrigal’s shadow was trapped in and pressed her hand to it. Hearing the Dark Power's voice twinned with Arrigal's it cursed her and offered to make her a deal.
"I offer a gift of many teeth and many lives — so that I might kill you many times"
Naturally, that didn't go over well. Alkali told it to keep its gift, she would enjoy killing it again. Then she said a prayer. And called on Umberlee's wrath to obliterate what shadows they had trapped here.
And rolling a fuckin 10 on Divine Intervention
Umberlee answered.
The shadows were washed away like a great wave had come through, taking them and their icy tombs with them.
As Alkali returned to the party who witnessed this, the original shadowy form returned with bitter celestial congratulations. It told them to enjoy a temporary gift of light and, while looking at Arabelle, spoke highly of their qualifications here in Barovia and wished her a happy birthday, before launching a shadowy crown towards Ravenloft and fading away.
Follow it up with a brief encounter with a soaking wet and pissed off Strahd in the storm that shifted quickly from a 'why are you fucks always making trouble for me' to 'you better not harm my wives' in which we assured him we loved his brides more than him — it was a Night™
And of course, the following morning WAS still Arabelle’s birthday. We woke up to a package on our doorstep at the Inn. It was a rather familiar ruby necklace — Strahd regifted when Ireena turned him down. We guess Rahadin was fucking digging in the yard last night while Strahd stood on the road like a dipshit overseeing?? Who knows.
But. Arabelle wasn’t keeping or wearing it by any means either. Which means two clerics were just handed a VERY impressive collection of rubies... I’m sure that won’t come back to bite Strahd in the ass or anything.

Swirling the third drink in your hand you heave yet another depressed sigh. You are so tired that you feel like you can just slump on the counter and pass out. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to stop for a drink, you alcohol riddled brain thinks.
The plans you had with Katelyn was cancelled last moment; she called to tell you that her thesis submission date was moved forward and so she couldn't hang out with you tonight. You're in the middle of an existential crisis quite literally, the too many part time jobs yet still lack of money and copious amounts of study getting to you. Staring hard at your drink you contemplate if it is worth giving up on college and your dream of becoming an arts major. It sure feels tempting right now, the long hours at the diner and not enough sleep at night proving to be the worst nuisance.
Sighing you put down your drink. It's still early, you should go home and try to catch up on the much needed sleep. You really had no intention of grabbing a drink tonight; you have morning classes tomorrow but you made a last moment decision to stop for a drink on your way back home. You didn't take your usual route to home today, and while trudging through the streets tiredly you came across this bar called Seventeen's. You've heard stories about this place, how it is the home to local gangs and how it's bad people's turf and what not. Your curiosity, probably too much of that made you get inside for a drink even though all the bones in your body ached. The inside is what you expected, nowhere near fancy but dingy, just decent enough. The people inside didn't look friendly and if the chains and tattoos on them gave any indication you'd say the rumours are true; this is the turf of gangs. The drinks taste decent, not the best but not the worst and from the overall look of this place you don't really have a reason to come back.
You're about to stand up from your stool when a large, clammy hand grabs your wrist out of nowhere, making you jump. "Hey sexy, sit down. Let me buy you a drink," the owner of the hand, a large, tattooed middle aged man slurs making your nose scrunch out of disgust. You're wearing nothing that can be called sexy; a plain cardigan and jeans and the way he looks you up and down makes you want to poke his eyes out.
You really shouldn't have come here. Clenching your jaw, you meet his eyes, "What makes you think I'm interested to have a drink with you?"
"Oh come on, why would you be here then, lookin' all nice? Just sit down," the man drawls, an ugly smile on his face. He still hasn't let go of your wrist and it's making you impatient. Looks like you're gonna have to kick his balls tonight. Maybe the self defense classes didn't completely go to waste.
"Get your disgusting hands off me while I'm being nice, sleazeball," you hiss at him, trying to get his hand off. The man stands up growling, "What did you say you bitch?" You're preparing to break his nose when out of nowhere a punch lands on his face that sends him tumbling to the ground. The attacker gets on top of him and twists his arm and you can literally hear a bone snap.
Shit.
"I think she said she is not interested," the man hisses, landing yet another another hit on his face before kicking his groin and getting up. When he turns around and his eyes meet yours, your heart skips a few beats and you almost The man is drop dead gorgeous, someone you would not expect to see here but probably on the cover of a high end magazine. His blond hair is long, crossing the nape of his neck as well as some covering his forehead. What takes your breath away the most is his eyes, the most beautiful pair you've ever seen. They seem to have their own galaxies in them, so deep and mesmerising and decorated with lashes long enough to make you jealous. His dress up, black jacket and jeans, immediately tells you what he is; a gang member.
"You should get home, lady," He speaks in a no nonsense tone, his face cold as ice. But you're offended. "Excuse me? Who are you calling lady? You make it sound like I'm old." You puff your cheeks and cross your arms, trying to appear intimidating. "Besides I had the situation under control, you didn't need to butt in." The man keeps looking at you with that no nonsense look, his features displaying annoyance if you are right and he's clearly not intimidated. The dude on the floor grunts and makes an effort to get up, only to be kicked by your saviour once more. "Hey Mingyu, get him out of here. What was this piece of trash doing here anyway?" The man orders to someone before turning to look at you, "Do you live far?"
"Uh- no, a ten minutes walk from here maybe," you reply unsurely, surprised at his question. The blond haired man nods before grabbing your wrist, "I'll walk you home. Hurry up, lady." You have a feeling he's purposely calling you that and though you start following him out of the bar, you make grunts of protest.
"Oh yeah, why? Trying to find out my address? So you can come later and hurt me like that guy?" You would not be this brazen if it wasn't for the alcohol in your system, after all the man next you isn't a friendly one if the rumours are true. The man raises a brow at you, "Did you do something that requires me to beat you up?" You hiccup at his serious tone. Does he not get a joke? He lets go of your hand now that you're at a safe distance from the bar but still stays close enough to you as your steps are rather stumbling and messy. You aren't fully drunk but your body is tired and feels like will shut down any second.
You really need some sleep.
"You know I'm not that drunk. You don't have to walk me home." You complain. "I'm walking you home because this isn't a nice place you should be alone at night. What happened earlier could happen again." He says not looking at you. "Mhmm," you keep on trudging behind him, "Thank you so much for your kind gesture, sir." You mock him but he doesn't reply, staring straight ahead, completely ignoring you as he walks quietly. In silence you two walk the rest of the path, before finally stopping as your apartment comes into view. At this point it feels like your bones will break and you will plop down on the concrete any second, but you manage to keep standing. "Well, thanks for walking me home." You shift your weight from one foot to another. "And for helping me back there." He shrugs coolly, a bored expression on his face. He's turning to walk away when you call, "Hey- I didn't get your name."
"What do you need it for?" He side glances at you. You shrug, "I don't know. You helped me so I thought it'd be nice to know your name." "You don't need to. Go inside, lady." He says, his tone final and starts marching away. You wait a couple moments before yelling, "Asshole!" and quickly rushing inside your building, partly afraid he's gonna come back.
You won't be surprised if you get killed tonight.
-
"So you are telling me Choi Seungcheol walked you home?" Katelyn screams in your ear, jolting up from her seat, earning glares from other people at the library in the process. "That's his name?" You whisper-yell, grabbing her hand to pull her back down. "I'm guessing from the blond hair you said," Katelyn shrugs. "Uh huh." You mean back in your chair, "He was hot though."
"Is that seriously all you have to say?" Katelyn whines exasperatedly. "No, I mean, if it wasn't for the way he dresses or talks I would have thought he's a model or something." You murmur.
"Are you sure he didn't hurt you?" Katelyn questions. "Hell no!" You frown. "He saved me from that creepy old dude. I was surprised too. I wish I didn't drink so much, I could have gotten a better look at his face," you sigh. "Seriously?" Katelyn raises a brow at you.
"Girl, you should have seen him. His aura and the way he carried himself was...so hot." You grin to yourself. Katelyn watches you like you've grown two heads. "Are you trying to tell me you have a crush on that gangster?" You smile sheepishly, "Maybe, I mean it's harmless. He was broody yet charming and I'm a girl so.... Also, it's not like he likes me too and is gonna come running whenever I ask him to bang me." You mutter.
"Oh he's gonna break your bones and bang your skull against a wall. That's what he's gonna do."
"Come on! Maybe he isn't so bad. Maybe the rumours are just rumours. Maybe he just looks intimidating and dresses up like that and people thinks he's a gangster." "Really? His name is on every bad thing that happens around here. From illegal racing to murders. Do you know that people say he has killed too?" "Like I said, rumours," you shrug being your stubborn self. Katelyn holds her hands up in surrender, "You know what? It doesn't matter. I'm glad you're alive so let's just put this behind us, shall we?" You don't reply but wiggle your brows at her, a conspirational look on your face. "Oh no, don't look at me like that," Katelyn warns. "Let's go to that bar tonight. Please?" You give her your best puppy eyes. "What are you? Fucking crazy? You wanna get killed?" She whisper-yells, scowling at you. "No. I just wanna take another look at him. Without the alcohol in my system you know. Besides, the place isn't that bad." You reply.
"Well then get killed by yourself. I'm not coming with you."
"I'll help you with your papers for the rest of the semester."
"Shit."
-
"Well, looks like your wish won't be coming true," Katelyn muses chugging down her fourth glass as you keep playing with your first one. It's nearing an hour since you've come to the bar and there has been no sign of the man you desperately seek. The place is exactly like it was the other day, filled with people who you wouldn't want to mess with.
Yet here you are.
"Let's call it a night," Katelyn sighs. "We're just wasting our time." You know that too but you don't want to leave; not just yet. You are well aware that this is just pathetic but you've this crazy urge to see that man once again. You don't know why you feel this way; you never felt like this before. Why are thinking yourself to death about a complete stranger? Has some kind of spell been casted on you?
"Yeah, let's get going," you murmur half heartedly. You help your friend stand up as she's a little wobbly on her feet and together you make your way through the door. "Should we call a cab?" You ask Katelyn. She shakes her head no and you nod, you arms wrapped around hers to support her in case she looses her balance. You start stepping away from the bar and towards the road to her place until a noise from behind makes you stop in your tracks.
"Did you hear that?" You ask, whipping your head behind. There's no one around and the street is mostly dark other than the light flashing from the name of the bar. You hear the sound once again and this time you can locate where it's coming from. There's an abandoned playground at the back of the bar and you've a feeling that's the source.
Katelyn hisses as she sees you step towards there. "What are you doing!"
"Didn't you hear that?"
"Yes I did. That's why I say we leave!" You ignore her and cautiously keep on stepping forward, mentally cursing yourself for wearing heels. Katelyn follows behind you murmuring all kinds of warnings. "You know curiosity killed the cat, right?" She whispers.
You roll your eyes, "Well I'm not a cat. Just- be quiet. It can be nothing." You both move past the bar gingerly and towards the playground at the back. There are old gallons of oil and abandoned materials just around the corner and you two quickly hide among them. It takes you a while to get adjusted to the low light after you poke your head up from the hiding spot.
You're eyes fix on him immediately. His blond hair makes him easily recognisable amid the darkness. There is a few more people around him, all kicking something in the ground. Not something, but someone. The man lying on the ground groans in pain and you realize this is what you both heard. "Shit," You hear Katelyn curse from beside you. "We need to get going." Instead of replying, you keep your eyes trained on the scene unfolding, holding your breath. You're tranced. Seungcheol lands continuous punched on the guy laying below him and after a moment his writhing frame seems to stop moving as it falls limp.
Fuck.
"You know in movies this is the part where people get caught." Katelyn whispers, her voice hoarse and her hand clutching yours in a tugging motion. "Uh-huh. But I can't seem to move. I wonder if he's... really dead." You whisper back. "Are you fucking crazy!" She hisses. "You wanna witness murder?"
Before you can reply you hear a sound that echoes through the empty field and it takes a second for you two to realise that it came from any one of you two. You don't have the time to figure out who made it as you both are crawling away from the playground without looking back, head crouched low to avoid being seen. You don't know if they heard that or if they're coming behind you, you both just keep scrambling, moving until you're past the corner. As soon as possible you both get on your feet and run like the grim reaper is chasing you, stopping only when you are far enough from the bar.
"I am never listening to you again!" Katelyn yells.
-
It's been a good few days since your near death experience and you somehow find yourself in front of that bar once again. You and Katelyn have not brought up that incident after that night. You made yourself believe that it was over and came to a conclusion that it is better to forget that man and leave all of it behind, no matter how much your heart disagreed. But it's easier said than done; you may not mention him out loud but in the back of your mind you think of him. He's like a ghost, haunting you all the time, plagueing your thoughts when you go to bed at night. It felt like he was ever existent and there was an itch in your heart that drove you insane.
Maybe that's why your subconscious brought you here, in front of Seventeen's, once again. You were on your way back home from library and you thought you took your usual route, until you realized you were standing in front of that place. But what is even terrifying is that the man haunting your mind stands in front of the entrance of the bar and you blink a few times to make sure you are not hallucinating. He's leaned against the entrance door, cigarette between his lips and from his pocket he fetches a lighter to light the poison in his mouth.
Damn, lighting up a cigarette never looked this sexy.
He hasn't seen you yet and you contemplate running the other way. That's the sensible thing to do but you, not being a sensible person, start walking towards him. Your footsteps make him look up and notice you and like the last time, there is no expression on his face. It's the same bored yet handsome face except now in daylight you can take a better look at him and this time, you notice a little mole on the left of his face, by his nose. Realising he's gonna stay silent you decide to speak, "Hi... It's me... Do you remember me?" Wow. That's such an intelligent thing to ask.
With the monotoned yet serious expression on his face, he goes, "Why won't I? I don't have Alzheimer's."
So he can joke.
You laugh, an awkward, probably exaggerated laugh. "What are you doing here? Did you not learn your lesson last time?" He cuts to the chase, his voice brassy and deep, almost threatening. You want to roll your eyes. "Who are you to say? I can be wherever I want whenever I want, thank you very much." "Well then, have fun getting in trouble like last time." He's nonchalant as he blows a smoke right past you and stands up straight, turning away. "Wait!" You almost grab his hand, desperate to stop him.
What is wrong with you? Your subconscious slaps her forehead. What are you holding him back for? To say 'hello sir, I think you're hot, can you please put your dick inside me'? Seungcheol turns his head back, his eyebrow cocked up.
Why do you find everything about him so attractive?
"Um...I know your name, Seungcheol." You speak, trying to sound intimidating, like knowing his name gives you some power over him. There's something definitely wrong with you which is why you don't want him to leave just yet and which is why you're stalling time. But it seems to have done the job as he pulls the cigarette out of his mouth and turns towards you, an annoyed look on his face. "How do you know that?" The timbre of his tone is deep and it rakes shivers down your spine. "Well, you've built quite a reputation for yourself so it isn't hard to get your name." You shrug coolly. "Well, if you know so much about my reputation, you should know what I'm capable of." His lone is low, almost threating as he starts to take slow steps towards you making you step back out of reflex.
Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Maybe you will also end up like the curious cat.
"Oh yes, I know. People have got a lot to say about you," you try to sound unfazed, not meeting his eyes that you feel are burning holes on your face. "What are you doing here, lady?" he asks slowly, pausing between each word and glaring at you as he continues to step forward. You can feel his patience thinning.
"I swear to God if you call me that-"
"What are you doing here?" This time his tone is scary, too scary. It makes you lose the ability to speak for a second as his dark gaze bores into you. He has backed you up against the wall behind you and you swallow. Right, what are you doing here? It probably has something to do with a very hot individual and his insanely attractive aura. Scratch that you are a hundred percent sure it has something to do with the blond haired, enticing man in front of you. He's driving you mad and you need to get your fill of him.
"Go out with me," you state and you are sure you've never spoken words more stupid than that. Internally, you cringe and pray that the ground below you would open and take you straight to the fiery pits.
This is the first time you see some sort of expression come across his face; surprise. He looks utterly shocked and somewhat confused. His mouth opens just a little and he squints at you, "What?"
There's no going back now.
"Go out with me. Let's go on three dates." you say once more, looking him in the eye. He seems to appear even more surprised, a dumbstruck look sitting on his face. He observes you quietly for a while and you can feel the gears in his head shifting. You wonder what he's gonna say next. Or maybe he won't say anything but bang your head on the wall and leave you to die alone. "I'm sorry I'm not following," he looks genuinely perplexed. "I want to go on three dates with you. They say after three dates you can figure out whether you like that person or not and I think I like you so..."
I think I like you.
The biggest understatement of the year.
Seungcheol tilts his head, an amused expression on his face as he studies you, those sharp eyes of his settling on yours, "What is your deal, sweetheart?" He crosses his arms, a brow raised. Sweetheart? That's new. And definitely better than lady. You can't deny how hearing him call you that makes your insides melt. "Nothing. I just want to date you," you shrug, trying to keep your wits together. His proximity is driving you wild; you can sniff a faint smell of cologne and cigarette, him being inches away from you. This time he laughs loudly, a mocking laugh you'd say. "Who sent you?"
Oh my god.
You roll your eyes. "Nobody sent me! Do I look like I'm a gang member or something?" "Then I don't see a reason why you'd want to date me," He states, throwing a challenging look at you.
"What if I said I have a thing for bad boys?"
He snorts. "You don't look the type to date bad boys," he mocks. "Who are you to say that?" You cross your arms. "I want to date you because I think you're hot, okay?" You can not believe you just said that. Looks like you don't have control over your mouth anymore. Warmth spreads throughout your face like a forest fire.
Seungcheol narrows his eyes on you, his tongue poking his cheek as he stands in front of you as if trying to read your mind. After a beat he sighs before looking at you, his eyes becoming darker than usual and his gaze unforgiving. "Hey. Does it look like I'm playing house here? Do you have any idea about the shit I do? The dirty work I do? I don't care if you have a fucking fetish or whatever but this is the last time I'm warning you. I don't want to see you around again. If I see you here once more, you're in fucking trouble," he spits and starts stomping away. His tone is serious and you know very well he is not joking, which is why you use your last resort. You're embarrassed at yourself for being so desperate but at the same time you feel shameless. It has almost turned into a game at this point, you want to make him surrender. That's right, you want him to give in. "You shouldn't be like that with me. I saw you, a few days ago. That night, when you and your friends were beating up that guy...in the playground," you casually stroll to come stand right behind him.
You can't believe you are blackmailing a gangster. Your death must be near.
Seungcheol whips his head back, his eyes glaring at you and you can almost see fire in them. Finally, you got his attention.
"My friend also saw it, we both did. You killed him, didn't you? Me and my friend witnessed a murder. What do you say? Should we go to the station?" You can see his jaw clench and you can't hold back a victorious smirk. Moments pass by as your words hang in the air and the tension between you gets thicker. Yet once more he surprises you, breaking the silence with a chuckle, "Well I killed one person, what makes you think I can't take care of another?"
You swallow.
"Well, my friend already knows so if I go missing you can be sure that the cops will come to you first." You throw back at him.
When did you get so wreckless?
Seungcheol stares at you for a few more seconds before shrugging and moving his hand dismissively, "Well then go tell the cops. I don't give a shit." He starts walking back to the bar leaving you starstruck. He stops and turns towards you before opening the door, "Also, I meant it. I hope I don't see you around. Otherwise I may just have to hurt that pretty face."
-
You don't show up after that.
Mostly because you are embarasssed.
It's been a good while after your last encounter with Seungcheol and you didn't go to the police, obviously. Because you don't have evidence and from what you've heard Seungcheol is pretty influential around here and you don't need to go to an extent to get on his bad side. You're definitely gonna end up dead if you do so, which you don't want just yet.
Classes have just finished and you and Katelyn step out of the classroom together, walking through the hallways and into the main campus. She rambles on about some bad sushi she ate yesterday while your mind remains preoccupied. Maybe you need to get laid. Maybe that'll make you forget about Seungcheol. You just need good dick that's probably why you were so desperate for him.
That's just a stupid lie.
You don't realise Katelyn is calling you until she shakes you by the shoulder and you snap back into reality. You notice her face is as pale as a ghost and following her line of sight your eyes stop on him.
Him. Seungcheol.
What?
You double take, blinking furiously to confirm your vision. He's standing there, in the parking area of your uni, leaned against a convertible Ferrari, a cigarette between his lips. He looks relaxed, like he does this regularly. Students whisper in each others ear while gawking at him curiously. "What did you do!" Katelyn yells. "Nothing!" You hiss back.
"Then why is he here!"
"I don't know!"
Your eyes meet with Seungcheol's and a smirk spreads across his face making you shiver. He stands up straight and tilts his head, an indication for you to come closer to him. "Fuck, he's here for me," you mumble. "Of course he's here for you, dumbass," Katelyn snaps. "Well, if I don't return, you know who killed me." You sigh starting to walk towards him. "Wait- you're going with him?" She asks incredulously.
"Don't worry. I'll keep my phone on. I don't think he's gonna murder me, I mean there are so many witnesses." You inhale deeply, leaving behind a lost looking Katelyn.
Seungcheol says nothing as you stand right in front of him raising an inquisitive brow but he only holds open the door for you to get in. Deciding to follow him you enter the car quietly and a wave of gasps go through the crowd.
There's gonna be talk about this tomorrow.
Seungcheol, still smirking victoriously for some reason rounds the car and gets inside and within seconds you're hitting the road. There's a thick silence for a while, which feels like ages to you. You're overwhelmed, bewildered to say anything; your poor brain still processing what is happening. You're nervous, jittery as you fiddle with you bag and look out on your side, for some reason scared to look at him.
What if he really kills you? He wouldn't, right?
"You're awfully quiet," Seungcheol says matter of factly as he spares you a glance while driving.
"I'm... processing."
"What are you, a robot?"
"Why are you doing this?" You question instead.
"Doing what?"
"Okay, you know very well what I mean. Why are you picking me up from uni all of a sudden? How do you even know I'm a student there?" "I have resources and...you didn't protest at all. You came along nicely," Seungcheol raised a brow at you, a cocky smile on his lips. You don't answer but continue to stare at him, trying to pin him down with your gaze. He finally sighs and pulls the car to a stop by the side of the road, the sudden brake making you slightly jerk in your seat. "I've decided to give you those 3 dates. That's why," He is calm, unreadable and you wonder if this is a prank. Then again, he has no reason to prank you, does he? "Really?" Your voice comes out breathy. "Yes. I thought I'd give you a taste of how it feels to be with someone like me. I can scare people without physically hurting them you know," He says in a menacing tone.
"So what? You're taking me to an underground fight or something?" You question. "Nah, we're keeping it simple today." He smirks as he starts the car again and turns on the radio, an indication that he doesn't want to converse anymore.
Shamelessly you take a good look at Seungcheol; he's dressed in another jacket today paired with a black tee underneath. Today, you notice he has upped his accessory game, his fingers full of rings and chains dangling from his neck. But what catches your attention is a tattoo, something like a dragon and words written in a language you don't understand, peeking from underneath his sleeve. You almost ask about it but decide it'll probably be too much and he wouldn't answer you anyway.
As you do so, in the back of your mind you think you should have dressed better, something cuter, more appropriate for a date rather than a plain blouse and jeans. But then again who knew Choi Seungcheol was gonna show up out of the blue. You're gnawing at your lower lip, lost in your thoughts when the car is pulled to a halt and you realize your ride is over. You're parked in front of a diner called Lacy's and from the vibe that the place is giving, you can tell that this is place where people like him hang out. You raise a questioning brow at Seungcheol who says, "I know it doesn't look fancy but trust me I has some of the best food I've ever eaten." Taking his words for now you quickly type out a text to Katelyn letting her know you're in one piece and get out of the car.
Once you're seated you look around the place which is relatively empty except some men playing pool at the far end. You watch Seungcheol who has gone to the reception booth to place your orders; his posture relaxed as he leans against the counter and talks to the girl standing there. They seem to know each other because their chat takes longer than it should and the girl has a shy, almost flirty smile on her face.
He probably fucks her.
You shake the thought off your head as the gangster comes back and sits in front of you. There's silence for a second as you wonder if you should just ask the questions that run free around your mind. "Are the rumours true?" You blurt out. He's raises a brow.
"About you. You know..."
"Do you want them to be true?" He asks back. "I don't...know," you reply. "Well, I think it depends on each person. If you want it to be true it is true, if you don't it isn't," he shrugs, leaning back in his chair. "Why don't you just give me a straight answer?" you snap. He smirks as if he's having fun but doesn't reply, watching you with his arms crossed. You roll your your eyes, blowing out an exasperated breath. "You know, I haven't seen one like you. Willingly hanging out with dangerous people, going to dangerous places. You say you saw me kill someone yet you're here. You're almost desperate to get in trouble," he observes. "I'm not desperate to get in trouble. I just...I'm just- attracted to you alright?" This is so embarrassing. You need to shut your mouth. "You've been on my mind ever since that night. I wanna see exactly how deep I'm into you." You bite your lip.
That's enough. You will boost his ego through the roof like this.
Seungcheol studies you for a bit before grinning cockily, "Well, if you didn't know, I am trouble baby. Just you being with me might end you up in a mess." Before you can reply, your food is served, that same girl from the booth setting down your plates and looking at Seungcheol for a bit too long with that same stupid smile which he returns. You don't know why but you feel jealous, jealous of whatever these two share, whatever she has with him.
You've lost your mind at this point. You're on a high that is Seungcheol. He has made you forget your morals, made you completely lose your mind. Or maybe you've been too good all your life and seeing him brought out that crazy, thrill seeking part of yourself.
Silently you dig into your food and as Seungcheol said, the food is really good. This is one of the best meatloaf you've ever had and you can't help but moan. Seungcheol watches you with an amused smile before popping a fry in his mouth.
"What's your major?" Seungcheol asks out of the blue.
"Uh- sociology."
"Mmhmm."
You're about to ask him what he studied in college but you assume he probably never went to one so you seal your lips. You wonder what his background is and who his parents are but you don't want to get too personal on the first day. So you ask something else, "How old are you?" He laughs out loud before he deadpans, "Thirty five." "What!" You almost choke.
There's no way he's-
"Why? What did you expect?"
"I... I don't know! A few years older than me? You're kidding right? You don't look thirty five." He has to be bluffing. "And how old would you be?" "You shouldn't ask a woman her age," you try to make a point. "Don't you have any manners?" He smirks,"I don't, sweetheart. To answer your question, I'm twenty eight."
Uh huh.
"Well, I'm twenty one," you mutter under your breath. You don't know if he hears it because he doesn't give any reaction, busy twirling a fry in sauce. The rest of your meal is full of silence as you wonder if your date will end like this; dry and boring. He's awfully silent and seems to be lost in thoughts as he doesn't engage in a conversation. You're about to take your last bite when the silence is broken by him.
"What did you see that night?" He leans over, his elbows resting on the table as he suddenly regards you with a sombre look, his earlier cockiness vanished. His eyes have once again gone dark and his demeanor says he's not being superficial right now. You're caught off guard as you cough loudly, reaching for your glass to take a sip of water. "What?"
"You heard me. What did you see that night? Exactly how much did you see?" He repeats. You're confused. You thought he didn't care about it. He said it didn't matter. So why is he bringing it up now? You've worked hard to push that night in the deepest part of your brain, pretending it didn't happen.
And then suddenly it clicks.
"You!" You point an accusatory finger at him as you catch on to his plan. "You've agreed to go out with me so that you can find out what I saw that night!" Seungcheol groans, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Ugh, just fucking tell me!" He snaps, annoyed that you've found out his little scheme. You scoff, "I thought you said you didn't care? Besides it's not like I'm going to tell the police." He rolls his eyes and leans back into the couch. "Just tell me and let me go."
You're baffled. His actions didn't make any sense and you actually thought he had no other intentions behind dating you but holy shit this sneaky bastard. "You sly little asshole!" You hiss at him. "Call me that once more and you'll regret it." He threatens. You roll your eyes sagging back into your seat, "Whatever." Then an idea hits you. "You know what, I'll tell you exactly how much I saw that night." You have Seungcheol's full attention now as he stares intensely at you, waiting for your next words. "On our third date. When this whole deal is over, I'll tell you. But in return you'll have to keep your promise and take me out on two more dates."
"Oh fucking hell," he groans rubbing his face in frustration. His state makes you smirk and you feel accomplished.
Choi Seungcheol is stressed because of you.
What a day to be alive.
You murmur, "Besides this isn't even a proper date. This was more like an interrogation. But I'll go easy on you and won't make you redo this date." You give him a sweet smile and he sees red. You can literally see fury blaze in his eyes. "Whatever!" He yells and abruptly stands up. "I don't have time for this. Your stupid play date is over. I'm dropping you home."
Before you can reply, he's marching towards the door. You've to admit this wasn't the best date but at least you've trapped Choi Seungcheol.
-
It has been a good week after your so called date at the diner and you haven't heard from him. You expected him to call or text you since he was gracious enough to ask for your number but he didn't. You now realize it was a mistake to not get his number; you had asked him for his when he took yours but being the prick he is he denied to hand over his number to you. You should have forced him to, you sigh. As you sit in the library the ping of your mobile distracts you from your racing thoughts as you realize you have a message. Picking the device up you tap on the notification. Even though it was from an unknown number, you have no trouble figuring out who it is from. A smile graces your lips as you read the words over again.
I'll pick you up from your house tomorrow evening at six.
That's all it says and that is good enough to send a thrum of excitement throughout your body.
-
You have not held back in dressing up today and you realize it's been a long time since you've dolled up yourself. A long before the clock strikes 6 you are ready; dressed in a cute pastel top and a matching skirt. You've also went ahead and applied makeup, not too much but just enough to maybe catch his eye. Maybe.
You wonder what he has planned for today.
A text from Seungcheol saying he's here has you flying out of your apartment as fast as your feet can carry your desperate self to see him. He stands in front of your apartment with his convertible, dressed in a white jacket that matched his pants. You take a deep breath before walking towards him, trying to calm all your nerves down.
"You know I expected to hear from you earlier. I've been waiting all week," you voice makes his head turn around to meet your eyes as you are skipping towards him with a teasing smile in your face. "I've been busy," he shrugs coolly, his eyes going over your whole body, from your legs to your face. He doesn't hide that he's taking a good look at you, in fact does it unashamedly.
You wonder if he likes what he sees.
Someone dressed up today," he comments. "Too bad we aren't going to a place where you can show off your pretty clothes." You frown, "Where are we going?" Seungcheol holds open the door, a mischievous smile on his face. "I've decided to grant your wish." With a confused face you get inside the car, the gears in your head running. What does he mean?
"I'm taking you to an underground fighting ring," he says with smirk as he reaches for something behind his seat. He pulls out a large hoodie and tosses it towards you, "Put this on. Otherwise you are going to attract a lot of attention and you don't want that." You gulp, taking the hoodie and putting it on you. You're slightly embarrassed. You were so excited to try this outfit but it's not like you knew he was taking you to a fight club. Hell you would have dressed like a guy if you knew. You shrug on the hoodie and it falls almost to your knees but it's huge and comfy and most importantly it smells like him. There's a hint of cologne, nothing too strong; a subtle, expensive scent that makes you want to take a deeper sniff. You wonder if you can keep this with you.
Stop it, pervert.
Seungcheol's voice pulls you out of your haze, "You can take it off later. Just wear it until we're out of there," he says and brings the engine to life.
Then you actually think about it. Underground fighting ring? Holy shit. You were only kidding when you mentioned it. Admittedly, you're shocked, somewhat horrified. Everyone knows it isn't the best place to be at especially for someone like you who never had such an experience. Seungcheol must have seen your expression because the smile on his face gets bigger, "Why? You not up for it?" His voice is teasing.
He's challenging you.
Oh well.
"Of course I'm up for it," you square your shoulders, keeping your voice cool. "Bring it on."
-
Seungcheol leads you into a bar and then through a door at the back that leads down to a lot of stairs, reaching a place similar to an underground parking lot. Quietly you follow Seungcheol, staying as close to him as possible, your bodies occasionally touching. He leads you to a pair of double doors and from the other side you can hear men shouting and chanting.
This is it, I guess.
Seungcheol throws one more smile at you before pushing open the doors as you scramble to follow him closely. The sight that greets you something you only see in movies. There's a boxing ring where two people are throwing punches at each other and surrounding them from all sides is a wild, loud and excited crowd. They continue to cheer loudly as the two men in the ring continue to box and you hear their grunts and groans.
Holy shit.
Swallowing your eyes meet Seungcheol's who is regarding you with curiosity. "What do you think?" He has to speak loudly for you to hear over the screaming throng. "Uh... It's loud," you say dumbly as you try to think of a reply. But it's too loud for you to even think properly as you take in your unfamiliar surroundings. You see a tall man approaching towards you and out of reflex you shuffle closer to Seungcheol until you realize it's his friend. The guy from the first night. He and Seungcheol grin at each other, patting their backs as they talk close to each others ears. You gawk at them curiously and realize they must be talking about you because his friend takes curious glances at you occasionally. His friend is tall, really tall and well built but unlike his body his face is sweet and puppy like, almost cute. When he grins his canines pop up just like a puppy and you wonder if all his friends are good looking.
After he's done chatting with his friend Seungcheol pulls you close and says, "This is my friend. Mingyu. Always stay near him, you hear me? Don't stray away unless you wanna get hurt." His eyes are stern as he pins you down with his stare but you have other thoughts running in your head.
"What do you mean? Where are you going?" You yell over the noise.
He just smirks at you and starts taking his jacket off. "About time you see how we do it around here." His tone is cocky as he hands his jacket to you, "Hold this for me. And stay close to him."
Giving a look at Mingyu Seungcheol starts walking away towards a door that you're guessing is the changing room.
He's gonna fight.
"Wait- but-" Mingyu stops you with a hand on your shoulder and offers you a kind smile. "It's fine. Just stay with me." He then ushers you towards the crowd, spotting a place where you can get a good look at the ring. "Do you guys do this often?" You look up at Mingyu. He smiles sheepishly, "Not me. I tried a few times and I always end up beaten to a pulp. But hyung does this often, he's really good."
"Uh huh, I'm sure he is," you smile dryly. "This is your first time watching a fight, no?" "Definitely." He grins, "Watch carefully then. It's really fun."
You have your doubts on how watching people beat each other up can be fun but you don't comment anything, instead chew on your lip anxiously. Seungcheol really didn't have to go this far? What if he gets hurt badly? Is he trying to impress you?
Don't flatter yourself, your subconscious rolls her eyes.
As the loud cheering that had died down ensues again, your train of thoughts are halted as you see Seungcheol in shorts and his hands covered in boxing gloves, step into the ring. You can't help but ogle at his naked torso, his finely defined and chiseled muscles. He has the perfect body, not too bulky, not too lean just the right amount that gives you a hard time taking your eyes off him. He seems to have noticed your gaze because the second your eyes meet, he throws a haughty, knowing smirk at you. Embarrassed you avert your gaze elsewhere.
His opponent is a muscular man who's growling and banging his chest with his fists, a gesture of intimidation, you suppose. You are definitely intimidated and you wonder if Seungcheol can actually win against him.
The fight starts with a whistle and in mere seconds they are on to each other, throwing punches left and right. Your eyes have a hard time keeping up with them and their fast reflexes and your hands fly to your mouth as a punch lands on Seungcheol's face, followed by repeated blows as Seungcheol falls back. There's a moment of silence as he wipes his bottom lip and you realize there's a cut.
He tilts his neck, popping the bones and glaring at the other man before launching himself on top of his opponent. The next moments are a blurry mess, Seungcheol beating the guy repeatedly until he ends up on the floor but he doesn't stop there. Seungcheol ends it with a sharp jab to his spine and you have no doubt the other man has broken bones with the ways he howls in pain. The match comes to an end like that as the people cheer wildly while Seungcheol steps down from the stage. Mingyu grins at you happily as if what you witnessed was just a regular occurrence, something you should be cheerful about. Shaking your head at the situation, you let out a deflated sigh.
Their life is really so different than yours.
-
Seungcheol seems to be in a very good mood after the fight as he buys you both some sandwiches and drinks from a deli after you both step out of the bar. You both sit down at a park nearby to eat and watch the night sky. "You know, I thought you were gonna lose," you speak after taking a few bites of the sandwich. Seungcheol scoffs, "You underestimate me, sweetheart. I've been doing this for a long time."
"Do you enjoy it?" You ask quietly, focused on peeling the wrapper from your food. You feel Seungcheol's stare on you. "Yes. Why? Are you scared already?"
"No. I was just... curious. Your definition and my definition of fun is totally different." You murmur. "Of course. What did you think? I go to the mall and shop and watch movies with my friends when I'm bored?" His tone is sarcastic. You bite your lip. "No I didn't. It's just...I feels different now that I have experienced it first hand." Seungcheol offers nothing more, taking a sip of his coke and leaning back into the bench. A silence stretches between the both of except the rustling of the wrapper of your food. "How long have you been doing this?" You blurt out. He frowns at you and you don't expect him to answer but he surprises you.
"For a long time."
He doesn't offer anymore and you don't have the heart to prod him for an actual answer. "And how long do you plan on doing this?"
"What?"
"I mean... don't you have any other plans. Like...do you wanna keep doing what you are doing for the rest of your life? Don't you wanna like... settle down maybe?" Your voice is soft as if you are talking to a child. Seungcheol looks annoyed. He doesn't speak for a while as he stares at the ground, a frown etched to his face. You're about to take back your question when he replies, "I really don't think you understand. I've been trying to tell you that my life is completely disparate to yours. So I don't think like you. I don't have plans like you but neither am I expected to follow a certain pattern like you. I can do whatever the fuck I want, ___. So don't look at me like you pity me. I'm the last person here that should be pitied. " His tone is sharp and it makes you feel bad, like a sensation of needles pricking your heart. "I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry," You whisper, feeling timid as you look down at your lap. He mutters, "Don't go poking your nose in other people's business. Specially people like me."
He's right. You shouldn't have asked that. You are not close enough to ask things like that. After that there is a silence, this time, an awkward one. There's palpable tension in the air and you feel jittery. Should you just ask him to take you home?
It's still early and truth be told, you don't want to leave him just yet. You only have one more date to go and judging by his reaction, he is in no way interested in a relationship. You heave out a long sigh. You knew very well what you were getting into, yet you couldn't stop yourself. Seungcheol is like a poison, the sweetest one, the one that has you addicted and unable to let go, no matter how much it hurts.
This is a fucking mess.
"Let's get going. I have plans," Seungcheol announces, standing up. You want to protest but you feel like you have ruined the mood, so you follow him mutely to his car.
The drive to your house is awfully quiet, to the point you want to scream out of frustration. Seungcheol seems to be lost in his head as he makes no move to talk. It's like you are alone, but you're not and it's worse, the air full of tension. Soon you have reached your house and he stops the car but keeps the engine rolling, indicating his rush. He keeps still and stares ahead while gripping the steering wheel as you step out of the car in silence. "Thanks for dropping me home," you say lamely, your voice meek. You turn around to walk away but his voice stops you in your tracks.
"I promised you three dates and I will keep my word. I expect you to keep yours, ___. I hope you will tell me what I want to hear when we meet next time." His tone is sharp with an edge of threat and you barely get to nod before he drives away.
It's not until you're inside your apartment that you realize you still have his hoodie on. Quickly fishing out your phone you type out a text.
I'm sorry, I forgot to return your hoodie.
After a while, his reply comes.
Keep it.

You watch Katelyn as she fills her lunch tray with food before walking over and taking a seat opposite to you. She looks extra radiant today, which probably has something to do with the way she's dressed; a bright colourful outfit which undoubtedly she put a lot of time into considering. She has a date, with a guy she has been talking to for the last few weeks. It reminds you of your pitiful situation and you sigh, trying to shrug off those thoughts.
It has been a good couple weeks since you last saw Seungcheol and you have not exchanged a word after that night. In the back of your mind you wonder if he is even alive. You want to message him, you really want to because you are going crazy but after how your last date ended, you can't bring yourself to. You are scared, exactly of what, you can't put your finger into.
The entire situation you have put yourself into is fucking scary. They say you become sure of your feelings after three dates but it did not take that much for you. You already are very certain about your feelings for him and how deep they run exactly and you also know that in the end you will be left scarred. He would never be yours. He has probably forgotten about you or decided that it is not worth another date to figure out what you saw that night.
You let a desperate, pitiable sigh.
"I know you are hiding things from me but I understand that you are not ready to talk yet. But I want you to know I am here for you okay?" Katelyn's voice makes you blink your way out of your thoughts. She squeezes your hand tightly and gives you a reassuring smile and you're left feeling guilty.
"I ...I will tell you. Soon. Just give me a bit more time," you whisper. She nods in understanding. A grateful smile touches your lips as her words make you emotional. Then there's a ping from your phone letting you know there's a message. Without giving it much thought you open the device and your eyes go wide.
I'll take you out for dinner tomorrow night. Wear something formal.

You wait outside your apartment for Seungcheol. Your day has passed by in a flurry of excitement and nerves as you carefully picked your outfit and did your hair and makeup. A soft baby pink dress that stopped just above you knees adorns you as your hair rests just above your neck in a loose bun.
You are fiddling with your fingers as you think about how this night is gonna end and wether you will ever see him again when a car screech that grabs your attention.
Seungcheol's convertible has taken a stop in front of you and you see the man getting out the vehicle and take big steps towards you.
You're mesmerized.
Perhaps there is not enough word in this world to describe his looks or perhaps you've simple lost the ability to speak; either way, you just stand and stare, drinking the godly man that stands in front of you. He looks delectable, completely flawless and agonizingly gorgeous in his sharp black suit and pants, with a silk black shirt underneath, the top couple buttons undone that reveals a beautiful porcelain skin. His hairstyle completes the look, parted to one side in a sleek way and showing his forehead and oh god is it sexy. You realize you have a forehead kink, if there is anything as such.
If you weren't in love with him before you are now.
He looks ravishing, and you wonder why it isn't illegal to look this good. It should be because you have completely lost control over yourself. Nothing exists in your world except for him and you feel paralyzed, unable to do anything but drink him in. You wonder if you are even worthy to stand beside him.
"____?" Seungcheol calls you, snapping his fingers in front of your eyes. He must have been calling you while you were eye fucking him. "Oh! Um, hi." You're flustered. "You- you look really, really nice." It isn't enough but it's what you can get past your lips. A knowing smirk kisses his lips before he teases, "Well, you look really, really nice too." Motioning you to his car he says, "Shall we? We'll be late for our reservation."
"Yeah, of course," you say, hurrying over to his car, embarasssed at your foolery. Seungcheol must have noticed you ogling him like that. But you don't really care when he looks like that. It is his fault for looking so devilishly handsome and idly you wonder if he did that on purpose. If he's deliberately teasing with, trying to make you the most miserable before letting you go with a slap of reality to your face. Pushing away those plagueing thoughts, you sit up straight and clear your throat as Seungcheol comes to sit beside you and brings the engine to life.
A decently long and quiet (except for the music from the radio) but not quite uncomfortable car ride later, Seungcheol stops in front of a really fancy and expensive looking restaurant just by the sea. You did not except him to take you to a high end restaurant, otherwise you would have put some more effort in your looks.
Feeling slightly out of place you quietly follow Seungcheol into the beautiful European styled building after he hands his keys to a valet. The interior is dripping with polished furnitures and extravagant chandeliers and marble floors as guests dressed elegantly have their dinner. As you look around the place in awe Seungcheol talks to the receptionist who then guides you towards a staircase that leads to a pair of large double doors decorated with gold which then, opens to a large balcony. In the middle of it sits a table with two chairs and an unceremonious gasp escapes your mouth as you realize this is where you will be having dinner.
The man from earlier takes his leave as Seungcheol helps you sit down before taking a seat for himself while you take in everything, overwhelmed with all your surroundings. Why did he put so much effort for a lousy and fake date?
"What do you think?" He asks with a smirk as he rests one of his elbows on the table.
"I'm overwhelmed," you reply quietly, honestly. He chuckles, "Well this place has really good food and a fantastic view so I thought it wouldn't bad for our last date."
Last date.
"It's really beautiful. I don't know why you did this but thank you, really," you murmur, eyes on the satin table cloth with intricate golden lining. Everything about this place is so pretty.
"Well, I decided it would be beneficial for me to extract words from you if you are wooed," his words have a teasing tone to it and his demeanor is completely different from last time, giving you a whiplash but you are not sure if he's fully joking. Before you can say that you are definitely wooed, a waiter appears to take your order and you leave the duty of ordering to Seungcheol since he seems to frequent this place. Prior to his leave, the waiter pours you Seungcheol's champagne of choice and then, you two are alone once more.
Reaching for the flute, you quickly gulp down the champagne to soothe your dry throat and to calm all your nerves.
Over dinner you talk about your uni and your parents back home and the farm they own. While Seungcheol mostly keeps quiet he doesn't ignore you but listens carefully, occasionally passing glances your way or commenting. He does not offer anything about him, which you expected and you don't ask any questions about him either. Instead you try your best to keep his interest in your words despite the lack of it from his side.
After a hearty meal of poached lobsters and wagyu beefs and creamy soups comes dessert; a chocolate orange mousse with spiced fruits and yogurt sorbet. You start eating your dessert in silence, the occasional crashing of waves filling the complete lack of sounds.
This location is truly magnificent and breathtaking, almost having a feel like you're in a fancy resort in a luxurious tropical island. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful place you have ever been, let alone have dinner at and you wonder if you would ever have the chance to visit some place like this had you not met Seungcheol. The man in question, continues eating quietly, seemingly lost in his thoughts. He looks lovely as always, if not more and you try to burn this image in your mind for you to look back at later. You want to ask him so many question, you want to tell him so many things but you're scared. Sacred if you do so this moment will break, scared it will annoy him and end your final date all too early. So you bite your tongue and finish your food as he does and after your plates are cleared away, you are served another expensive champagne as an end to your luxurious dinner.
Even though Seungcheol doesn't say anything, you assume it is time to spill the beans, to say what he has been wanting to hear from the beginning. You have teased him enough and it is time you give him what he deserves. Taking a deep breath, you open your mouth. "Me and Katelyn heard noises from the playground that night so we decided to check. It was pretty dark and we were tipsy but I recognized you and you were... beating someone up. We stayed there and watched until one of us accidentally made some noise. We were scared that you heard us so we ran. That's all that happened."
You have Seungcheol's full attention now as he listens cautiously, his sharp eyes trained on you. Gulping, you clench your hands together underneath the table, waiting for his reaction. There seems to be an eternity of silence as Seungcheol simply stares at you as if he's debating whether your words are true or not. It's torturous, awfully agonizing and when you can't bear it anymore you're about to speak but he beats you to it.
"I didn't kill him." His voice is quiet. You let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding. Somewhere in the back of your mind you believed it, you believed he wouldn't be cruel enough to kill someone just like that and as soon as he speaks those words you believe him, without a doubt, without a second of delay.
"I believe you." You whisper, holding his gaze. "That asshole deserved what he got. He shouldn't even be alive but I let him go. He's in a hospital now, if you are wondering." You nod quietly. It's scary how much you believe him, how much you trust him even though he is pretty much a stranger.
There's a moment of silence as you bask in his presence before he speaks, "____, men like me, we aren't the nicest people. But we are needed, the cops need us around. People like me do the dirty works for people like you so y'all don't face troubles. We do things in an unconventional way but that's just who we are. We aren't as bad as the rumours say but we definitely aren't someone you should be with." You open your mouth to protest but his sharp gaze makes you stop. "If you have not understood it yet, let me say it out loud. I am trouble. People like me is always bad news. Whatever we did until now, I hope you forget. That's the best, ____ trust me. I think we both got what we wanted so let's call it a night." Just like that, he stands up, not waiting for your reply.
You gawk at him, baffled as he pays the bill and starts walking away. Tears burn the back of your eyes and you bite your lip to hold them back. The ending that you had expected has taken place but you are having a hard time accepting it. Your subconscious reminds you that you deliberately got yourself into this even though you saw this coming. So there is no one to blame for it but you. Grabbing your purse, you stomp your way out of the restaurant and towards Seungcheol's car.
Seungcheol barely acknowledges you as you both get in the car and he presses the key to the ignition. You are fuming in your seat, his words and the way he dismissed you cutting you deep. His words come to you, I think we both got what we wanted. You want to laugh. How can he possibly think that? Is he really so stupid or is he deliberately ignoring your interest in him? You want to smack his perfect face, curse and scream at him but all you can do is sit still with your arms crossed as steam comes out of your head. Is he really not curious about your feelings? Does he possess none for you? Does these few days with you mean nothing to him? You have so many unanswered questions. Leaning back into your seat, you close your eyes and let out a frustrated sigh.
It feels like in the blink of an eye the drive to your place is over as Seungcheol halts his car in front of your apartment. He does not utter a single word, doesn't even spare a glance at you while patiently waiting for you to get out of the car.
Asshole.
You inhale deeply, trying your best to gather yourself together as you take off your seatbelt and turn towards him.
"Seungcheol?" Few seconds pass before he looks at you. Words are stuck in your throat. When your eyes meet his, you become mute, overwhelmed with emotions as your words die in your tongue. He keeps staring at you, not opening his mouth but waiting for you to speak. "Is this goodbye?" Your voice breaks.
"I believe we don't have any reason to see each other. We both got what we wanted," He says without batting an eye. You're left bemused, one step away from landing a slap on his face. How dare he say that?
"Do you really believe that?" Your words come out as an accusation. "I wanted to go out with you because I thought I have feelings for you! And I do! And my feelings have only increased since I first saw you. I want to see you again, Seungcheol. You may have gotten what you wanted but I didn't." Your fades into a whisper as tears burn the back of your eyes.
Seungcheol stays quiet, staring ahead, his brows knitted as if he's annoyed. "I promised you three dates, ____. And I gave you that. It's over. Your feelings? You'll get over them. It's better to be in pain for a while that be with someone like me."
"You can't say that! I get to decide for myself!"
"____," he sighs, rubbing his temples. "I'm a bad man. You should leave while you still have a good image of me. You'll get hurt because of me and I've caused enough pain to enough people. Just...go. Just forget me." You stare at him as frustrated tears roll down your cheeks. He doesn't meet your gaze but turns his head the other way. You are angry, infuriated and heart broken all at a time. Clenching your fists you inhale a shaky breath before reaching for him.
Before you can chicken out, you tilt his face towards you and quickly press your lips against his. Seungcheol seems to be shocked as a small gasp leaves his mouth but you don't let him push you away. Instead one of your hands come to rest on his thigh as he other cups his face to keep his mouth against yours. You kiss him with all you have left, pouring in every bit of passion and love for him as your tongues intertwine. By the time you are both breathless, Seungcheol gently pushes you back and peers into your eyes. "That's all I can give you, ____." He says, his voice the softest you have heard. You are broken into a million pieces and as much as your heart wants to cling to him, you suddenly feel tired, deflated like a popped balloon. Your emotions have drained you out and left nothing and right now, breathing almost seems too painful for you. Taciturnly, you grab your purse and step out the convertible. You hear another door shut behind you but you don't look back as your heavy steps carry you to the entrance of your building. When you are about to enter your apartment, you accumulate all your strength and courage to spare one final glance at him.
Turning around you see Seungcheol standing by his car, hands in his pockets, simply watching you. Even though your eyes are locked on each other, you don't see any emotion in them. He looks like the same expressionless, mysterious man you saw the first day. The man you fell in love with. Taking in his gorgeous features one last time, you bite your lip and turn away, forcing yourself to walk inside your apartment building.
Your chapter with Seungcheol ends here.

Title: ABO HC How (A) Todoroki, (A) Bakugo, and (A) Hawks would react to finding the (O) Reader held hostage:
Summary: Your Alpha walks in on you being tied to a chair and he is not happy.
Prologue:
You had been a well-kept secret from the public. No one knew that your famous Pro Hero Alpha was courting an Omega or even in a long-standing relationship. Your Alpha was too paranoid about your safety to let any of the news outlets find out about your existence.
You supposed it would have been beneficial for the public to know now that you were in this situation. Surely if the villains knew they would come across an Omega, resting in their nest, they wouldn't have tried to rob the Pro Hero’s house.
You put up quite the fight once you smelled unfamiliar Alphas near your nest. One hard knock to your head had you subdued. You didn’t dwell over your quick loss considering one Alpha was nursing his swollen balls.
You got in one good kick before the painful hit fell on your head.
Now here you sat, tied to a chair, while the robbers argued with each other and what they should do now.
Shoto:
🧊🔥-“I told you we should have checked the place out before we robbed it! I would have never tried to rob the place if I had known a freaking Omega was here!” The brunette Alpha growled, glaring at his blond friend.
🧊🔥-“What’s the big deal? So what if the little icy-hot freak has a girlfriend? We will be out of here before he even comes home.” The blond scoffs, shoving expensive silverware and china into his black bag.
🧊🔥-“You should know how Alpha’s get around their Omegas! He is gonna hunt us down! I don’t want a Pro Hero on my ass.” The brunette seethed, glaring at the goose egg on your head. “Especially since you decided to hit the poor thing! We will be lucky if he doesn’t skin us alive!”
🧊🔥-“The bitch hit me in the balls! Of course, I thumped her one on the head, serves the Omega slut right!” The blonde huffed, sick of hearing his partner complain instead of ransacking the place.
🧊🔥-“Mmh.” You mumbled, your eyes blinking open to a fuzzy view.
🧊🔥-“Fucking shit! They’re waking up! I’m not dealing with a weepy Omega.” The brunette cursed, going into Shoto’s office to avoid the whole situation altogether.
🧊🔥-“Well, if it isn’t Miss nut-cracker.” The blond chuckled darkly, walking over to your tied up frame.
🧊🔥-You didn’t back down and just glared at the dumb fool.
🧊🔥-“Aren’t too smart, are you? What type of shitty criminal robs a Pro Hero? Dumb ones, that’s what.” You spit, narrowing your blurry eyes at him.
🧊🔥-No doubt you would need to go to the doctor after this whole ordeal. Not like you would have a choice. You were sure even if they didn’t lay a hand on you that Shoto would have insisted on one.
🧊🔥-“You dumb little bitch!” The blond lifted his ring covered hand to hit you again. You tried not to flinch as it came down to strike you.
🧊🔥-The brunette stood in the office doorway, his bag filled with expensive clocks and other expensive desk items.
🧊🔥-“I got everything in the office. Did you...” The brunette didn’t get to finish his sentence.
🧊🔥-The front door was busted open. Shoto had smelled two Alphas on the other side of the door and he was not pleased. He was even less pleased when the door slammed open to reveal his battered Omega tied to a chair.
🧊🔥-His mismatched eyes turned dark. The temperature in the room both dropped and elevated at the same time. His tired body was instantly filled with murderous intent.
🧊🔥-A loud growl shook the room.
🧊🔥-How DARE they lay a hand on their Omega! His vision tinted red and his fangs dropped.
🧊🔥-“This will only take a minute, Y/N. I’ll take out this trash.” He calmly said, his tone was so cold you felt yourself shiver even knowing his silent rage wasn’t directed at you.
🧊🔥-“Yes, Alpha.” You responded, making sure voice quivered a little. You may have been glaring right back at the intruders before he came but you wanted them to suffer so you played the scared Omega role.
🧊🔥-They lost your sympathy as soon as they pulled you from your nest.
🧊🔥-The robbers, who were frozen in fear by the intimidating Alpha’s entrance, shuffled into action.
🧊🔥-The brunette was quick to give his partner up. “He hit her, not me!” He said, before running down the hall, looking for a way to escape.
🧊🔥-“You fucking asshole!” The blonde shouted, trying to run out of the room as well.
🧊🔥-He didn’t get far, ice trapped his feet and his lower body soon followed. Shoto made sure to form it in a way that sharp icicles tore at his skin if he so much as moved half an inch.
🧊🔥-He wanted to shoot an icicle into his leg for good measure but he didn’t feel like cleaning up blood off his floor. He wished to burn the skin off his bone but you had forbidden him from using fire in the house.
🧊🔥-He had accidentally caught one of your favorite blankets on fire and was banned for life.
🧊🔥-“We didn’t know she was here! If we had known we wouldn’t have come!” The blond groveled, panicked at the feral look in Shoto’s eyes.
🧊🔥-“You could have left after you saw my Omega was here, but you stayed and decided to hit her too. You should be lucky I didn’t just kill you on the spot.” He growled, cutting the blond’s cheek just a bit with an ice shard.
🧊🔥-The blond just whimpered and passed out. Shoto was quick to hunt down the other and give him the same treatment. He had made it out of the house so he was pleased to release his burning anger out on him.
🧊🔥-Once they were out of the way, Shoto ran to your side and burning away the binds holding you down.
🧊🔥-“Are you okay, my Dove?” His voice was soft, his cold hand going up to your head and trying to soothe the aching bump.
🧊🔥-“Yes, I’m just a little dizzy. Everything’s a little fuzzy right now.” You leaned into his gentle touch.
🧊🔥-“I’ll call someone to deal with those two. Let’s get you to the hospital, my Dove.” He hurriedly lifted you and carried you to his car. He treated you like glass when he sat you down in the passenger seat.
🧊🔥-You leaned your head against the cold window as he dashed around to the driver’s side. Your head hurt too much to look out the window so you kept your eyes closed.
🧊🔥-Your Alpha made sure you didn’t accidentally slip asleep.
🧊🔥-You let out a small whine when a thought crossed your mind.
🧊🔥-“Alpha my nest is gonna smell like them.” You sniffed, opening your teary eyes to look at him.
🧊🔥-Shoto’s hands went white on the wheel, his face contorted into a snarl. He couldn’t wait to visit them again at the station. He had friends there that wouldn’t hesitate to turn a blind eye.
🧊🔥-His anger instantly simmered when his eyes met your glassy ones.
🧊🔥-“Don’t worry, Little Dove. I’ll buy you more. We can even go shopping at that blanket store you like so much.” He assured, taking one hand off the wheel and clasping it in yours.
🧊🔥-Your eyes lit up. “Really! It’s kinda expensive though, I don’t need new ones. I am sure we can find some nice second-hand ones.” You squeezed his hand, bring it up to your lips to place a kiss on it.
🧊🔥-Your exhausted brain choosing to ignore the specks of blood on his hand.
🧊🔥-“My Dove, what have I said about me spending money on you?” He gently reprimanded, his eyes still soft.
🧊🔥-“Accept it and say thank you.” You repeated without delay.
🧊🔥-“Exactly, I won’t hear any more about it.” He ended the discussion, his eyes focusing back on the road while his hand remained in your grasp.
🧊🔥-If your head wasn’t killing you, you would have been bouncing in your seat. “I can’t wait! They are coming out with some pretty fall blankets soon! Oooh! We have to get some cute Halloween ones too!”
🧊🔥-“Anything you want.”
Bakugo:
💥-“Why did you have to hit them!? Ground Zero is gonna come after us now!” The brunette cried, desperately holding ice to your head in hopes that the bump on it would go away.
💥-“Shut up! Get back to robbing the damn place instead of taking care of the freaking Omega.” The blond hissed, throwing a plate at the panicked Alpha.
💥-You sat back in the chair not knowing how to process the situation. You knew dating a Pro Hero was dangerous but you thought villains would be your main concern, not petty burglars.
💥-“If you leave now and don’t take anything, I’ll tell him I tripped and fell.” You wouldn’t, but they didn’t know that.
💥-“See! Let’s just leave. We can go rob some other place.” The brunette pleaded, already trying to untie you.
💥-The Omega in you wanted to feel bad for the whining Alpha but then you remembered he messed up your nest when he dragged you out of it. You Omega was fuming.
💥-I just got the nest just right! She huffed, pacing around in your head.
💥-She didn’t seem threatened by the Alphas in the room. She knew her Alpha was coming home any minute and he would take care of them.
💥-You, on the other hand, was slightly panicking now that the situation sunk in. Katsuki was gonna rip them to shreds. You Omega was already smugly licking her paws at the image, while you shuddered at the thought.
💥-“You should go. I don’t want to be mopping up your blood all night.” You urged, looking anxiously at the door.
💥-“See! We need to go!” The brunette cried, trying to tug his friend towards the door.
💥-“Shut up! We can leave once we get everything valuable.” The blonde growled, shoving off his partner.
💥-The jiggle of keys at the door made everyone in the room stop and hold their breath. The doorknob turned and the door was pushed open. You looked at the chair you were tied to, the robbers, and back at the door.
💥-There was no way to play off the situational. I don’t want to be mopping up blood. You whined, praying your Alpha wasn’t going to go too berserk.
💥-“Hey, Spit-fire! I got us, your favorite curry you were wanting. I made sure to get it extra spicy.” He walked in carrying a bag of takeout.
💥-He paused in the doorway once he got a whiff of unfamiliar Alphas in the house. His ruby eyes viewed the scene before him. He growled at the sight of the two Alphas.
💥-From your point of view, his eyes didn’t look red anymore with how big his pupils dilated at the presence of Alphas near his Omega. His hand instantly dropped the food to the floor.
💥-The sound of the bag hitting the floor heightened the tension.
💥-His fangs instantly dropped when his nose picked up a faint coppery smell, his eyes zeroed in on the small trail of blood on your head. The growl that ripped through his chest shook the room.
💥-“Alpha, please, no blood in the house.” You pleaded, shifting against the ties holding you in place.
💥-“No promises, Omega.” His voice was so dark that you didn’t even recognize it.
💥-“The brunette didn’t hit me. He even tried to ice it. Go easy on him.” You said, knowing his control was waning.
💥-The veins on his neck looked ready to pop, his arms straining to hold themselves still and not plummet the Alphas standing before him. He eyed the patio door that was pushed open, most likely where they entered in from.
💥-That would solve the blood problem.
💥-He grinned viciously, “How about we take this outside?”
💥-He rushed the two Alphas, grabbing them by the backs of their necks and throwing them out of the house and over the balcony. He laughed darkly as he followed them, jumping from the balcony.
💥-You wiggled free from your restraints and made your way to the front door, you picked up the takeout bag and brought it to the kitchen.
💥-“Suki will be hungry after beating those two up.” You hummed, making him a plate and then making yourself one.
***
💥-“Is the water too hot?” His voice was raspy from all the yelling he did earlier.
💥-You sat with your back leaning against his chest in the bathtub. The warm water and the heat of your Alpha calmed your stressed body. Being tied to a chair was as comfortable as it looked.
💥-“It’s fine, Alpha.” You hummed, delicately washing his bruised and bloody hands.
💥-“I’m sorry, I wasn’t here sooner Omega.” You smelled a hint of sadness in his scent.
💥-“Don’t worry, Alpha. I knew you were coming. I wasn’t scared one bit.” You reassured, bringing his hand up and planting delicate kisses on it.
💥-“My strong Omega,” he purred, nuzzling his nose into your hair. He flinched when he picked up the faint smell of another Alpha. He snapped up the bottle of shampoo and poured half the bottle on your head.
💥-“Got to get this disgusting scent off you, Omega.” He growled, gently scrubbing your scalp.
💥-“Alpha! That shampoo is fifty bucks!” You gasped, picking up the half-empty bottle.
💥-“I’ll buy you another one.” He assured, rinsing of the soapy suds and giving your head another sniff.
💥-“Much better.” He hummed, pulling you tighter against his chest.
Hawks:
🍗-“You shouldn’t be here.” You whimpered, trying to curl in on yourself, the ties preventing you from doing so.
🍗-“Why the fuck did you have to hit them? You know I can’t handle weeping Omegas, my Alpha hates it.” The brunette growled, trying to awkwardly pat your arm.
🍗-You winced away from his touch, another Alphas touch was too repulsive. You felt your skin crawl as his fingers grazed your arm. The thump on your head making you more nauseous than you already were.
🍗-“So what if your Alpha is a pussy. Unlike you mine enjoys their cries.” The blond smiled at the tears dripping down your face. “The bitch deserved it anyways.”
🍗-“Whatever.” The brunette scoffed, rolling his eyes and going back to robbing the place.
🍗-“You guy’s really shouldn’t be here...” You tried to warm them but you were too late. The door creaked open, your heart warming and racing at the sound. You knew it would be a bloodbath once Kei realized what was going on.
🍗-“Baby bird! I hope you are already in comfortable clothes, I’m ready to cuddle in our nest.” His soothing voice causing you to relax in the chair.
🍗-“Alpha.” You cried, your head still throbbing.
🍗-The silence was enough to tell you he spotted the two Alphas in the room.
🍗-“Omega.” He growled, his eyes bleeding red, the sight of blood trailing down your head sent him into a frenzy.
🍗-His wings puffed out, the room suddenly flooded with crimson feathers. You felt two feathers sailing your way and cutting the bonds holding you. You swiped them up in your grip and clutched them to your chest.
🍗-The soft texture of them calming you down some.
🍗-A feral roar sounded throughout the room. You ignored the harsh thumps coming from behind you, the sound of one of the robber’s heads getting bashed into your kitchen counter made you wince.
🍗-You wanted to get up and get away from everything but your body was in shock and it wouldn’t let you do anything but clutch the crimson feathers to your chest. Your other hand was rested on your stomach.
🍗-You tried to warn them. Nothing was more dangerous than someone harming a pregnant Alphas mate. You were still pretty early along so they might not have been able to smell it in your scent.
🍗-You Alpha was sure able to, the instant he got a small whiff of it he was chirping happily against your stomach. You had a hard time getting out of his ruby wings that day.
🍗-“You DARE harm my mate and chick!” You felt the pure rage behind his words.
🍗-The blond was already passed out on the floor, his front teeth knocked out. The brunette was about to pass out with him, your Alpha choking him with his shirt. He made sure to use his feather to cut up his arms and face.
🍗-His wings behind him puffing up and flapping angrily.
🍗-“Didn’t know...” The brunette slurred, his head bashed in as much as his friend’s head.
🍗-If they wanted to hit his Omega on the head then he was all too pleased to return the favor. The brunette finally succumbed to his injures and blood loss, he went slack in Kei’s hands.
🍗-Kei dropped him to the grown without care.
🍗-“Pathetic.” He hissed.
🍗-His head snapped up in your direction once he heard your tiny sniffles. He was at your side in an instant.
🍗-“Oh, baby bird.” He cooed, lifting you from the chair and wrapping his arms and wings around you.
🍗-“Alpha, I told them to leave.” You whined, snuggling into his chest.
🍗-“I know, baby bird.” He soothed, breathing in your scent, checking on the baby chick in your belly. They seemed well. He was still gonna fly you to the hospital. He made his way to the balcony outside and spread his wings, without a second thought he jumped.
***
🍗-“Don’t worry, Omega. I already ordered some new blankets. They should be here by tomorrow. I hope you don’t mind the guest bedroom for now.” He hummed, he was curled around your balled up form.
🍗-You didn’t even build the nest surrounding you, Kei delicately dropped you down on the bed and instantly began building the nest. He would angrily chirp if you so much as lifted a finger.
🍗-Everything was fine with you and the pup, or chick as Kei liked to call them. As soon as you arrived home Kei refused to leave your side or let you out of his sight.
🍗-You were not to roll over on your side without his permission.
🍗-“Thank you, Alpha.” You thanked, nuzzling your head into one of his soft wings.
🍗-“I also called a security company, they will be here to set up a new system tomorrow.” He informed, nuzzling into your hair.
🍗-One of his hands was tangled in your hair and the other was snugly cupping your stomach.
🍗-“No more Alphas in the house.” You sniffled, shaking your head.
🍗-“Of course, baby bird. I told them, beta’s only.” He reassured, kissing your head.
🍗-“I love you, Alpha.” You whispered, almost lulled to sleep.
🍗-“I love you, too baby bird.”

House of Lockser
Gruiva oneshot / fic recs - Open
Plot: House Lockser was known for their honor and kindness; to know them was to love them, but one fateful day and the betrayal of her family’s oldest ally leaves Juvia in the hands of Jose Porla. His greed for taking over the North thrives until he decides to challenge the House of Fullbuster.
If the story seems like it's fast-paced it's because it was originally supposed to be a one-shot but it came out too long so I am breaking it to be a short series
Warning: Character Death, Non-Con elements, Abuse

House of Lockser Part 1
Juvia was once a Lady, a part of the House Lockser’s, a fine house that lived near the sea and cherished those who lived under their ruling. They fed their people well and taxed them at almost nothing. Those on their land couldn’t be happier; they lived in peace and cherished the Lord and Lady of their land.
Men worked fair jobs, women received an adequate monthly stipend for their community work, and everyone received equal education. It was one of the safest places anyone could ever choose to live at, nothing bad ever happened on their land, or that is what they believed until the day their house fell to Jose Porla, a once-trusted friend, the Lord of Phantom Lord.
His armies destroyed her people, and the once tranquil land turned into a graveyard. Men were killed in front of their families, women raped on the streets, daughters sold to men three times their age, and sons were forced into Jose’s army, but most were put to death.
Juvia’s father fought until the end, but he was not enough to stand against Jose’s forces. The House of Lockser knew not of war or battles; they lived with honor and trust in their neighbors, but the veil was lifted, and they saw the world for what it was. They never stood a chance.
Her mother held her close to her chest as they cried from the corner of their once safe house. Juvia’s mother screamed as Jose sliced her father's chest with his sword, slaying the man instantly. Blood spilled into the floor, turning the soft gray stone dark.
Juvia cried silently as Jose’s men stalked towards them and pried them apart. Juvia cried for her mom, who was thrown into the arms of Jose.
“You’re still so beautiful.” His arms wrapped around her waist as he buried his face in her blue hair. Her back pressed against his chest, and she tried to fight from his grasp as a hand gripped her chin, the other raising to rest under her breast.
“Stay away from her!” Juvia screamed as she thrashed in the arms of his men.
“Juvia, stay out of this!” Her mother demanded, fearing what Jose and his men would do to her.
“How sweet, your daughter is just as fierce as you were. We could have been powerful, you would have been the perfect wife, but you went and chose that Lockser bastard.”
“This is what this is about? You murder hundreds of innocent lives for your pride.” Her mom spat. “I wouldn’t marry you then, and I’d never marry you now.” Her voice boomed in fury as she destroyed the man's ego.
Jose spun her around quickly, slapping the woman harshly. She crashed to the ground, and Juvia continued to try to fight out of the man's grasp to no avail.
“Please, my plan is much bigger than a pity rejection. I have much bigger goals, and your house was just a stone in the way.” He leaned down to Juvia’s mom, pulling her hair to face him. He regretted his actions instantly as she spat on his face, the mixture of blood and saliva trailing down his cold cheek.
“You little bitch,” he wiped his face quickly before slapping her again, causing Juvia to cry harder. Then, he pulled a knife from his side and traced it along her cheek gently. “You think your used body means anything? I no longer hold the same longing as I once have. You disgust me, you and your pathetic husband.”
He continued tracing the blade against her skin, but this time he pressed harder, drawing blood from the woman, but she bit on the inside of her cheek to hold in her reaction; she wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of seeing her tremble in pain, that was until he spoke his following words.
“Your daughter, on the other hand, has turned into a fine woman.”
“Stay away from Juvia!” She snapped; her eyes raged in a fury; she did her best to hold her temper, knowing her daughter’s life was in the hands of this madman.
“She looks just like you.” He hummed, his eyes roaming Juvia’s body hungrily, causing her to shiver under his sinful gaze. “Probably the only thing that poor excuse of a man got right.”
“He was your friend; we’re your friends. How could you do this!” Her mother cried.
“The House of Lockser was nothing more than a means to the end.” He raised his blade, hovering over the woman, ready to slam the knife into her, but Juvia’s voice rang through the room.
“Stop! Juvia will come with you, and she will marry. She will do anything just to spare her mother, please,” The words came out as sobs as she tried to bargain for her mother's life.
“Juvia will do anything, so please stop.” She repeated, her mom shook her head and moved to her knees, ready to beg for her daughter's release, but Jose had already moved towards the younger girl.
His men released Juvia, but she did not move as the older man walked up to her; she just stared at her mother, hoping for her safety. He wrapped his arms around her, the same as he did her mother. Her back was flushed against his chest, but this time he slid one hand down to caress her legs over the material of her tattered dress while the other harshly fumbled her breast. Heavy tears slipped from her face as he defiled her in front of her mother, but to save her life, she’d accept it.
His head dipped into her neck, and she closed her eyes, trying to tear her mind away from the man she once saw as family, pressing his rough lips to her skin. His odor stunk of death and musk, making Juvia want to gag, but she held in.
“I’ve watched you develop into a fine woman. You will do well by my side; I will owe you till the day you die.” He whispered against her flesh.
“Please, leave my daughter. She doesn’t deserve this. She's innocent.” Her mom yelled, her rough voice cracking from sobs. “Please, Jose, please!”
“I know of her innocence.” He smiled wickedly, his hand trailing dangerously close to her inner thigh over her dress. “I’ll take your deal Juvia Lockser, you will be mine, and your mother will be left unharmed.”
Juvia sighed in relief and nodded. Her once sheltered life was flipped upside down, but her mother's safety was all she could ask for. “Juvia will go with Jose willingly.”
“Good.” He held on to her arms tightly, ordering his men to help Juvia’s mother to her feet. The woman was hysterical as she continued to cry and beg for Juvia’s freedom, but her words were left neglected.
He began to usher Juvia out of the room, and they were nearing the exit when he suddenly stopped, turning Juvia to face her mother again with a laugh. “I change my mind, kill her.” He demanded. Juvia tried to push out his arms to rush to her mother, but Jose was more robust; he held her down with his weight as a hand held her chin harshly, forcing her to watch his men have her mothers her hands behind her, one of them pulling her hair, so her chin was faced towards the ceiling.
As fast as it was, Juvia felt like she was witnessing everything in slow motion as the men lacerated the dull knife across her mother's neck. Blood gushed from her wound as she toppled to the ground.
"You will do your best to remember I don't make deals. I own you, Juvia Lockser."
Juvia wailed at the gruesome sight as Jose, and his man dragged her away from her home. She flailed in their grip, almost squirming her way out until she felt a harsh blow to her head, knocking her out.
______________
Once Juvia awoke, she was no longer herself, just an empty shell who belonged to the man that destroyed her people and slaughtered her family.
Juvia thought that with Jose’s lewd nature, he would have married them soon, or at least stolen her innocence like the many women his men raped and beat, but he did neither. In fact, he hadn’t touched Juvia in a sexual manner since she had been with him. As days passed, she questioned the point of her capture until Jose finally put her to work serving him, answering his every need.
He claimed a week was enough time for her to mourn, and she was expected to please him. Her gut clenched at the thoughts of how he would take her and the pain she would feel, but he did nothing of that sort. Instead, his pleasure came with him playing with her mind and stripping her of any confidence she had remaining. Torturing her was the best part of his day, and he loved to remind her that it was he who allowed her to live when he murdered her family in cold blood.
She quickly learned that Jose had not forced her to marry him yet because he had bigger goals and destroying the Lockser’s was just the beginning.
Jose moved from land to land, destroying houses and taking his prizes. He took her to watch as he destroyed village after village, forcing her to see the same fates her people went through. Her once full-of-life persona became dull as her soul faded into the streams of the unfair world. She’d be his future bride, but until then, Jose continued to torture her mind as his favorite pass time.
Things only worsened as he set his sights on the House of Fullbuster’s; even Juvia was shocked as Jose targeted the notable house. Known for their wins in battles and wars, the Fullbuster’s were not a house to take lightly, unlike the Lockser’s. They were a force to be reckoned with. But as word spread of Silver Fullbuster's passing to an illness, Jose saw it as a way to destroy the once-feared house that was thought to be left unguarded and in chaos.
What Jose hadn’t been prepared for was Gray Fullbuster, the new Lord and head of House Fullbuster. He was known on his land for his cold and stern demeanor, many feared him, and even fewer loved him. Because of his frigid attitude, no one dared to cross him, frightened by the intense power that dripped from his aura. And those who did try to betray him, god so help them.
Jose's first mistake was severely underestimating the younger Fullbuster, unaware of his capability. Juvia never met the young Lord, but his reputation proceeded him. Rumors of his dark spirit were tainted with the blood of those he slew; some said he made a deal with the Devil, condemning his soul for all eternity. Others spoke of the demon’s marks covering half of his body, spreading across the plains of his skin with every soul he delivered to the grasp of hell. All just rumors, of course, Juvia didn’t believe these false tales, but she did believe he was as ruthless as they concluded him to be.
It was with this cadaverous entity that Jose found himself succumbing to. Many battles ended in losses, and Jose’s men dropped by the hour. He put the weight of his failures on Juvia, and his treatment worsened. Though he was close, he hadn't forced him on her; he knew other ways to break her down and make sure she'd feel humiliated and undignified.
She recalled the first night he lost to the Fullbuster’s.
She was sent to his quarters which was different from his usual treatment already. Juvia has only been in his room a handful of times since she was forced to join him. Her hands trembled at the door as she gained the courage to knock.
When he opened the door, he roughly grabbed her by the wrist and tossed her into the rough wall near her; she almost fell over but maintained her balance. Her arm throbbed in pain, but she refused to show it.
“Remove it.” He spoke ferociously.
Juvia stared at him blankly until his rose hand to her neck, choking her with all his strength until she gasped for air.
“I will not repeat myself; Remove it!” He growled.
Juvia’s shaky hands fumbled with the knot at the top of her chest so she could unfasten the dress's top. He muttered something about her being too slow, pulling out his knife and cutting the fabric from the top of her dress in a solid movement. Juvia’s eyes shut as he ripped the material down her shoulders, exposing her chest to him. He laughed at her humiliated form before spinning her around and slamming her into the wall's stone. Juvia flinched at the cold wall and arched her back in an attempt to separate herself. A moment she instantly regretted as Jose pressed himself onto her. His fist balled into her hair as he whispered harshly into her ear.
“When I tell you to do something, you do it quickly and earnestly. Understood?”
“Yes.” She whimpered.
“Yes, what?”
“Yes, my lord.”
Jose pulled himself away from Juvia and pushed back the loose hair that had fallen out of place. Juvia stood frozen on the wall, not waiting to turn and expose her chest to the man. Her bottom half was still covered since he did not cut the dress enough to slip entirely off of her.
She heard movements behind her, but she didn't dare look; Juvia tried to mentally prepare herself for what he would do, reminding herself that he would never scar her. He wanted his bride to be perfect and flawless; Juvia's physique was too valuable to leave any permanent damage.
Juvia could help the cry that escaped her lips as he began to pour hot wax of a burning candle onto her back, her pale skin turning red at the burning sensation. The older man laughed hysterically in response. He did the action repeatedly, loving how Juvia squirmed under his touch and clawed at the wall. When the wax had run out, he began putting the candle flame near her skin until sounds of distress released from Juvia. He didn't leave marks, but he continued the movement until he got bored.
She held herself, praying Jose received a quick loss or sudden victory, not that she wanted the House Fullbuster to fall as she did, but she did not want to experience another night as she had. She was alone in their world, and her life was in a madman's grasp. Her sobs blend into the horrid choir of the winter rain, her emptiness filled by the storm's rage, and the dark clouds crying from the sky became her only consistent ally.
As unkind life was to Juvia, the Gods were just as cruel.
The biggest loss Jose faced brought forth Juvia’s worst treatment of all.
Jose had just returned from a failed battle when summoned for Juvia again. She knew this loss was more important than others. Jose finally lost his power in numbers, his men equaling the same amount Gray had; however, they were not as strong as the Fullbuster army, and they were dropping like flies.
Juvia walked into his quarters, knowing it would be a night he tormented as he released his frustrations onto her. Jose sat in his bed with a cup of wine resting in his hand as he stared at Juvia lustfully. She could tell this wasn't his first cup, probably not even his fourth, with how drunk he appeared to be.
“Take it off.” He slurred his words, already intoxicated from his many drinks.
Juvia’s hands shook, but she did as she was told, slipping the material down till it rested on her hips.
“All of it.”
She opened her mouth to plead, he had never made her get full nude before; she shook her head, but his hand toyed with the blade that sat near his bedside.
“Now.” Throwing his head back, chugging the last of his wine. Juvia’s hands trembled as she shimmied the fabric down her thighs, letting her pool at her feet, revealing her soft pale skin that glistened in the moonlight. Her hair was long enough to cover her breast, and her hands did their best to protect her most private area. She stood bare in front of the older man silently and obediently. He released the dagger standing abruptly from the bed, swaying as he moved towards Juvia, his hand gripping the soft mount of her ass, causing her to jerk and squeal.
Jose laughed at Juvia’s distress, roughly grabbing her frame and throwing her on the bed. An ‘oof’ sound pushed passed her lips as she landed on her stomach. She felt the bed dip as he climbed on, she tried to crawl further up to distance herself from him, but Jose’s hand tangled itself into her hair, stilling her movements as he pushed the side of her head into the bed.
Juvia clenched at the bed sheets as her eyes burned from the tears that trailed down her face as he continued plowing her into the mattress with one hand while the other untied the knot of his pants, pulling the dirty material down his waist just enough to free himself. She tried to disconnect with herself as he rested over her, but her mind didn’t let her. She was too focused on how he felt when he lay over her. He bit into the nap of her neck, trailing his tongue across her shoulder, lapping at the sweet flavor of her terrified skin as she shook from his actions and the feeling of his rigid member rubbing her backside.
Fear built up in her chest as he forcefully shoved her legs apart, pushing harder onto the side of her head as he lifted her hips into the air, bending her back at a harsh angle. Juvia thought she might throw up when he aligned himself with her center, waiting for the drunk man to rape her, but before he could defile her, a switch flipped in Juvia. She didn’t want this; she didn’t want to be taken by the man who destroyed her life. He could humiliate her, take her pride and her life, but he wouldn't have all of her.
Juvia didn’t know where her bravery came from as she used all her strength to twist under his grasp, pushing him harshly before he could taint her. His inebriated body fell to the floor, catching the man off guard. She knew it was only a matter of time before he snapped out of his gaze and beat her for disobeying him, but she rather die than let Jose steal the last thing she had left.
“You stupid wench.” He screamed, grabbing Juvia by the hair and dragging her off the bed. He didn’t give her a chance to rise to her feet before pulling her across the room by her scalp, screaming in pain. He threw her over to the window and grabbed a nearby chain Juvia felt the cold metal drape around her neck as he tightened it, barely giving her room to breathe. He took the other end of the chain to a hook on the window, attaching a lock to secure her
This winter night's frosty air was notably harsher than the rest, and she shivered as the rough winds blew over her nude skin. He walked away, grabbing a container of water his help kept filled in the room for him to drink, only for him to toss the liquid into the fire, setting out the flames. He forced her to stay near the open windows for the entire night and into midday.
He watched her sadistically as her body shook, the wind feeling like needles against her flesh; she stared at the floor, refusing to make eye contact as he began to pleasure himself at her degrading sight. His animalistic grunts danced into the winds surrounding Juvia as the man came undone. After a few moments, he succumbed to sleep, and Juvia was left to suffer.
The next morning arrived painfully slow as he finally awoke, but she had still not slept, she wanted to beg her to release him, but the sounds of his laughs when he awoke to the sight of her naked form chained to the window reminded her he was not a merciful man. He'd only take pleasure in her begging and leave her even longer. She wasn’t sure if it was by his orders or if one of the maids took pity on her that they released Juvia, who quickly got dressed and ran to the comfort of her room, knowing Jose would be gone for a while to deal with more failed battles.
Jose never attempted sex with her since that night; despite all he had done, he saw himself as a man of class. So instead, he beat Juvia most nights until she pleaded with him to stop. Bruises hid under her dress from his rough treatment, but nothing could hide the harsh cut on her lip from when he struck her just as she did her mother.
Juvia had taken an unusual walk in the gardens; most days, she stayed locked in her chambers unless Jose called for her, but since he was out attempting to plan a win against the Fullbuster’s, she decided to learn the halls of the home she was forced in. The house she would unwillingly become the Lady. Staff ignored her; most of them either feared or worshiped Jose, they felt like she was beneath them being a Lockser, but a few pitied her. None ever showed it openly, scared of Jose’s rath, but Juvia could see it in their eyes.
She was approaching the waters of the unkept pound when she heard whispered among the workers, ‘He is back so soon’ ‘his men didn’t even last a full day in battle before retreating.’ Juvia didn’t waste time as she ran toward her room to lock herself away. He might kill her if he lost as bad as they said. Losing yet another fight was just a road sign to his soon defeat. They were getting closed in on, and he was fighting a fool's battle.
She was about to rush past his study doors when she heard his wicked voice.
“What did you say?”
“Sorry, my Lord, but Lady Juvia was not in her room when I went to retrieve her. I know not where she is.” Juvia recognized the person as Wendy, one of the staff who was congenial to Juvia; though they never talked, she felt the young girls' warmth whenever they made eye contact.
“If you don’t bring me Juvia as once, it will be you who faces her punishment.” No need to hide his plans; everyone knew what happened to Juvia behind those closed doors of his quarters.
She bit her lip to hold her gasp as she imagined Wendy’s small frame taking her beating. She unconsciously wrapped her arm around her stomach, still bruised from the last time she saw him.
“But, I don’t know where she is.” A loud smack rang through the air, and a loud cry followed. Juvia's lips quivered at Wendy’s shaken tone; the girl was only 12, maybe 13; too young to experience anything Jose could offer.
The cowardly voice in her head told her to leave; leave the more petite girl just as they all left her to deal with Jose. Her foot began to move forward - her every instinct telling her to worry about herself and return to the safety of her room. Juvia had almost reached the corner of the hall when she heard the crashing sound from his study.
The voice again told her to keep moving, but Juvia ignored her intuitions as she found herself running back to the girl. She pushed the doors open, and Wendy was on the floor along with objects from his desk and a knocked-over chair. Jose’s hand was midair, a belt with metallic designs hanging from his grasp as he prepared to strike the girl again.
Jose couldn’t stop himself in time as Juvia threw herself protectively in front of the girl. The leather material whipped her back, earning a sharp cry as Juvia held Wendy close to her. The metallic plating for the belt tore through her thin dress, and a thin track of blood dripped from the wound.
“Juvia is here; please just leave her be.” She tried to speak confidently in front of the girl, but she knew her dread showed through.
At his lack of response, Juvia glanced at the man and saw his eyes scrutinizing her, stressed. He almost looked ashamed, but Juvia knew it wasn’t because he hit her; he was scared the injury would scar her. Jose wanted her skin to be no less than perfect despite the litter of contusions he marked her with.
Juvia held the girl tighter as his fingers dipped into her injury, his thumb swabbing away the crimson liquid, relieved when he saw it was merely superficial. Unfortunately, his relief was quickly replaced with anger.
"You foolish woman!" His fingers weaved through her hair, pulling her slender frame away from the smaller girl. Wendy reached out for her, but one look into Jose's eyes caused the girl to draw back in fear. "Guards!" He yelled.
Soon two men rushed into the room, bowing to their lord. Without acknowledging their respect, Jose tossed Juvia in their direction, hands grasping her frail arms.
"It seems as though Lady Juvia has forgotten her place; she has interrupted the punishment is an incompetent peasant." Tearing the elegant coat off his shoulders, Jose approached Wendy's dainty body while rolling up his sleeves, pointing at Juvia. "Make sure she watches as I show this scoundrel what happens when you fail to do what I ask."
Wendy screamed as Jose flogged her with the laced metal belt. Her high-pitched cries filled the room as he continued whipping her.
"This is what happens" hit "when you fail" hit "to do a simple fucking task." hit.
"Please, it was Juvia's fault. Blame her," she begged, thrashing the guard's clutch. In their eyes, she could tell they were equally disturbed by their Lord's onslaught but didn't dare to cross him.
"Shut her up!" Jose demanded, but their gaze was frozen on the beaten child.
"Lord Jose, she is just a child." Her tears ran freely down her face as she freed herself from the guard's grasp, their grip loosening at every sound of Wendy’s whimpers.
"Shut up!" He grunted past his clenched teeth.
"Juvia will take her punishment. Just leave her be." Her trembling hand reached out towards him, Juvia's fingertips brushing his arm, but he recoiled instantly. Rage sprouted from within him as Jose looked back in disgust. Then, before Juvia could flinch the brute force, his palm came crashing on her as he backhanded her.
Juvia plunged to the cement ground, the side of her face hitting the hard stone floor of his office. The taste of iron encompassed the taste buds on her tongue as her mouth filled with blood. Her lips trembled, not from her pain but the anger unleashed within.
It was this day something had snapped in Juvia, and it was as if the blood he drew unleashed a new resentment and anger Juvia never knew she could harbor. Despite him putting her through much worse, the feeling she once felt when he tried to rape her returned. The feeling that she would rather die than feel this man continue killing her as every second goes by. The feeling was telling her to fight.
It was a week later when Juvia went into his room. Jose rested in his bed, still awake and surprised by Juvia’s appearance. She never came unless called, and to top it off; she was only dressed in a thin night dress that formed her curves. Certain angles of her dress became see-through as she stood in the moonlight.
When she approached him, his hungry gaze roamed her figure, and she gave him her best innocent look. Her hands traced along the bed sheets, casually caressing his covered legs. “You must be so stressed; let Juvia help.” She batted her eyes, not waiting for a response, before quickly straddling the older man. His hands instantly came up to her backside and grabbed her roughly. His dry, callous hands disgusted the girl, but she didn’t let it show. She could smell the wine on his breath which relieved her; it would make her task more manageable.
Her hands untied the knot of his shirt, and she slowly rose it over his head. His hands moved to the ends of her dress, but she pulled them back up to trail her body over the material.
“Phantom Lord won’t fall.” Juvia brushed his messy hair that spilled out from her typical updo as she lowered her face closer to his. Trailing butterfly kisses down his face as she fills his ego.
“The Fullbuster’s won’t win.” Her voice was full of certainty, and she could feel Jose becoming hard under her as she lowered herself over him, rolling her hips, their clothes being their barrier. Her every word, her every movement, turned the man on, but to Juvia, each word was laced with a wave of secret vexation that grew ravenous over the months. Her hands traced his cheeks as she smiled down at him.
Their noses brushed together, and Juvia almost laughed at how eager the man who caused her months of suffering was; he tucked his hands under the material for Juvia’s dress and began to play with her soft breast. Juvia released a fabricated mewl as he tugged her close to him, lapping at the smooth skin of her neck. Juvia pretended to breathe heavily in pleasure as her fingers traced the fabric of his bulge, gently squeezing him. Jose's eyes fluttered shut as he leaned his head back at her touch; she rubbed him a few more times before he took her hand and moved it under the material so Juvia could touch him.
Internally Juvia wanted to cry at the sensation of his hardened member as she remembered how it felt the night he laid over her skin, threatening to take her. Her mouth trembled as she leaned into him, but as their lips got closer, Juvia spoke. “Not when you were foolish enough to keep a Lockser alive.” Jose stiffened at Juvia’s bitter words but didn’t have time to process the blue-haired girl’s threat before a sharp dagger entered his chest. A scream filled the room, but Juvia roughly clamped a hand over the man's mouth to muffle the noise.
“You don't drown by falling in water, you drown by staying there, and you have stayed in Juvia’s water for too long.“ She roughly pulled the blade from his chest, not even flinching at the blood that sprayed out of his wound. He thrashed in her arms, attempting to throw Juvia off of him, but she pushed all her weight to keep him in place.
“You do well to remember the House of Lockser’s words: In the waves of the sea lie the debts we repay. Juvia has come to collect your debts.”
Just like he had done to her father, Juvia slashed the blade across his chest, the small edge didn't do as considerable damage as his sword had, but Juvia relished in his pain as he cried into her hand that trapped his sounds of distress.
And just like he had done to her mother, Juvia carved the dagger through his neck slowly, making sure he felt every movement of the sharp edge. Blood gargled in Jose's throat, but that didn’t stop Juvia from repeatedly stabbing the man over and over; her white dress that once resembled her purity turned crimson. His velvet, iron fluid splashed onto her pale skin as she continued her onslaught on the beast beneath her on the already dead man.
Unknown to her, at the same time, the halls of House Polar were not still. The House Fullbuster carried out an elaborate attack on Phantom Lord, killing their men in their beds as they quietly moved through the night. No one had a chance as the young Lord killed everything on the path to Jose's chambers. You could imagine his disappointment when he and his men burst into Jose’s quarters, and they were met with the sight of the bloody girl, still straddling the dead man.
She appeared to them like a ghost, her skin was white as the snow outside.
Juvia dropped her head to the side as she looked into the man’s nightly dark blue eyes; her eyes trailed down to his armor and instantly recognized the Fullbuster sigil. The room was silent until a sharp clatter rang out from Juvia lazily dropping the dagger on the stone ground.
“Who are you?” The Lord asked, his hand resting on his blade, weary of the bloody girl before him as she slowly crawled off Jose’s gruesome corpse; there was too much blood to see all that was done, but it was clear the older man had been stabbed several times and his genitals mutilated.
“Juvia, Juvia Lockser.”
“Impossible, House of Lockser fell months ago.”
“All but one.” Juvia moved her hand to her chest, the Lord’s men instantly drawing their swords, not knowing the girl's intentions, but Gray motioned them to stand down when she reached into her dress and pulled out a necklace with her family sigil. “Juvia promised herself she’d destroy the man who took her family away from her. She apologizes for the trouble that has fallen upon your House. Unfortunately, Juvia was not strong enough to do it before.”
Gray walked up to the soiled girl, and in a fluid motion, he pulled his coat off and rested the warm material on the girl's shoulders. No doubt the heat of her adrenaline rushing through her veins kept her warm on this freezing night. Juvia stared at the floor, not bothering to meet anyone's gaze.
“She comes with us."
"Juvia won't be your plaything" the bitterness in her voice confused Gray. "Juvia has suffered enough under Jose; if you plan on tormenting Juvia, then kill her now. She will not do it again."
Gray didn't know what transpired during the months her house was said to have fallen. He heard many things about the daughter of the Lockser house, so full of light, her caring nature sending warmth into the hearts of men and women alike. That was not the same girl who stood before him. "I have no intentions of hurting you, just trying to ensure you get a proper bath and a place to sleep. The House of Porla has fallen; Phantom Lord is no more; you can't stay here."
When Juvia didn’t decline his offer, Gray placed his hand on her lower back and gently nudged her to move forward. She nodded and followed his men.

Hi! I’d love a story about Negan being a serial killer who only kills “bad people” (like in Dexter) and maybe he saves the reader from her ex who’s about to kill her and Negan can save her and takes her in because she’s a mess but she’s actually a killer herself (who kills rapists etc/ only the bad ones) and Negan and the reader start fighting and then get caught up in steamy hot sex 🥵 thank you!

"Will, stop you're hurting me!" I hissed, grabbing at his wrist. He tugged me out of the bustling restaurant and into the dark street.
"I don't really give a shit," He snarled, throwing me into a secluded alleyway a few buildings down from the restaurant. Will had taken me out to a business dinner with his boss in hopes of showing me off and making a good impression. But things didn't quite go according to plan. "You embarrassed me in front of everyone!" He pushed me against the brick wall of the closed department store.
"What was I supposed to do?" I sneered, trying to wiggle away from him "He kept commenting on my body, saying how he wished he could take me home at the end of the night and do all kinds of 'unspeakable things to me'."
"You were just supposed to shut up and take it!" Will said, voice filled with rage "But no, you and your untamable fucking complex just couldn't handle a compliment. You threw your drink in his face! You're lucky he didn't fire me right then and there. You made me look like some pussy who can't control his whore."
"You're an asshole." I shouted, tears welling at the edges of my eyes. Will's face contorted further into a look of pure, unadulterated hatred.
"What the fuck did you just call me?" He seethed, clasping his hand tightly around my throat and constricting his fingers around my airway.
"I said you're an asshole who cares more about his dead-end career than his fucking girlfriend." I croaked. I hated him. I hated him so much. My vision clouded with the combination of disgust, loathing, and lack of oxygen, so I hit him where I knew it hurt. "There's a reason you needed me for arm candy tonight. It's 'cause you're a boring, piece-of-shit, lowlife who has no skill whatsoever. How does it feel knowing you need me to make something of yourself?" With that, he threw me to the ground by my throat. He wasted no time and pinned me to the cold concrete. His knees dug into my shoulders and his hand flew to his back pocket, whipping out the switchblade he carried as a precaution against mugging. My eyes widened as they caught a glint of the moonlight off the sharp knife. He brought the blade up to my throat and slapped me over the cheek harshly with his free hand.
"You better take back those words, bitch," He hissed, pressing the blade into the soft skin of my jugular "or they might just be your last." A dribble of blood ran down my neck with the pressure. Realization flashed through my mind. I could die right then. That could have been my last moment. Was I scared? No. Why wasn't I scared? Maybe it had to do with the shadowy figure that was slowly approaching us from the ally entrance.
There was plenty of time for me to warn Will that someone was coming. But I didn't. Instead, I stayed quiet and watched as the shadow figure pulled Will from my body with ease and tossed him to the side. Everything was kind of a blur. I was still oxygen starved and filled with a whirl-wind of emotion. I heard Will cry out in surprise and indignance. The shadow figure said nothing. It saw the switchblade with a steady line of my blood. It kicked Will in the chest, knocking him to the ground. Then it lifted up a baseball bat over its head and cracked it down over Will's skull. He continued to beat Will until he stopped squirming. The shadow figure paused and swung the bat over his shoulder. I had regained my breath and pushed myself to my elbows. The shadow noticed me moving and took a few heavy steps in my direction. I squirmed away slightly, instincts telling me to get away from the thing that had just pulverized my boyfriend. The shadow entered a stream of moonlight. It was a man. He had peppered hair and a blood-speckled face. He had dark brown eyes and a small smile perched on his lips.
"You okay, sweetheart?" He said. His voice was deep. I was partially surprised. He wasn't a bulky man. He was tall and had a broad frame, but his limbs were long and his body was lithe. He wore a leather jacket and his boots were slick with what I could only assume were Will's brains. I didn't want to look at his bat.
"W-Why did you do that?" I whispered. It was all I could muster.
"He was going to kill you." The man sounded confused, like I was supposed to know who he was and why he saved me.
"You don't know that." My voice was quiet. My eyes were glued to a spot behind the man, unblinking. He let out a throaty chuckle and dropped to a squat, leveling with me.
"Doll, he had a knife pressed to your throat," His words were gentle "Looked like he was gonna fuckin' kill you." He hesitantly reached out two fingers in the direction of my face. I didn't move. He was wearing leather gloves. The ridged fabric ran along my injuries. "Seems like he did some damage before I could step in. Damn. Sorry about that. Listen, I live a few streets down. If you want, I can get you cleaned up."
"Okay," I said softly. I let him help me up to my feet. He guided me along with one arm while holding his bat with the other. As we walked out of the alley I couldn't help but look down at Will, or what remained of him at least. His forehead was split in half, a pool of chunky blood bubbling on the ground. I clenched my jaw and forced myself to swallow the bile that had risen in my throat. And yet, I didn't feel sad. I didn't mourn him. Maybe it was shock, maybe it wasn't. "Thank you?" I murmured, though it was more of a question. The man and I stepped out onto the street and I was grateful there was no one around to see us leaving the scene of a very heinous-looking crime.
"No problem, doll," The man hummed, setting a brisk pace down the sidewalk. "The name's Negan, by the way." Cool. Negan: my Savior.
~~~
"So you're like Batman?" I asked Negan as he dabbed the blood away from my neck. He gave a short chuckle and tore away the sticky part of the band-aid.
"I guess you can say that," he mused, splaying the bandage over the cut the knife had left "but I specifically go for people that I know have hurt others. The baddies, if you will."
"Is that legal?" I tilted my head, crossing my ankles as they dangled over the bathroom counter. My palms were flat on the surface of Negan's marble sink top, fiddling with the wrappers of the medical supplies he had used to clean and bandage my small cuts and bruises.
"I haven't been caught," Negan shrugged "besides, it's less work for the police. They don't have to do any interrogation bullshit or anything. I usually catch people in the act, like tonight. Then I do my thing."
"Do you kill everyone?"
"Only the bad people," He reminded, tossing away a bloody tissue "only people who have hurt others. But, yes, usually the offender ends up on the business end of Lucille over there." He pointed out the door into the living room, where the still-bloody bat rested against a chair. I furrowed my brow.
"Well, doesn't that make you a bad guy?" I pressed. He tapped my knee and I dropped down to the tile floor, tucking my hair behind my ear and gathering some of the scraps.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you still kill people, right? Even if they're bad? So doesn't that still make you a killer?" Negan was quiet for a minute. "Let's put it this way," I continued "What would you do if you came across someone who was like you; someone who hurt the bad people. Would you still kill them. They're hurting people." Negan took a deep breath and let it out with a contemplative sigh, itching his bearded chin.
"I'm not sure," He mused "I've never really thought about it before. See, I don't consider myself a bad person per say. Yea, what I'm doing might be considered fucked up. But I'm doing it for the right reason. I'm protecting people by attacking their attackers. In the end, someone's saved." He brushed off his hands and led me out of the bathroom, flicking the light off. "Would you rather me not have saved you tonight?"
"No," I said immediately "thank you. Really, thank you. You saved my life. Will is...was...always a dick, but I never thought he'd actually hurt me. I guess that proves people can have a whole bunch of layers." Negan nodded and moved to the kitchen. He raised a bottle of whiskey as an offering. I shook my head but he poured himself a glass.
"I was just doing my job," Negan grinned sympathetically "I'm sorry your boyfriend was an asshole who tried to murder you." I shrugged, amusement in my eyes.
"Eh, it happens to everyone." I smiled as he let out another laugh. I felt as if I shouldn't be laughing, but at the same time, everyone has their own responses to almost getting stabbed to death in an alley. So I let myself have this moment. Besides, Negan was a good guy to be around. He made me feel safe, comfortable, secure. Everything I needed right now. "So, Negan, what do you do? Surely vigilante-ing can't pay well, and this apartment is really nice."
"I'm a retired baseball player," Negan said, sipping his whiskey and settling into one of the armchairs in the living room "Hence the bat."
"Were you any good?" I asked. He let out a loud scoff.
"Was I any good?" He mocked "Sweetheart, I have a whole damn trophy room. I was fucking amazing. I just got old."
"So you're rich with no real job, you kill bad guys, and you have a massive ego," I listed "You really are like Batman, aren't you?"
~~~
Negan let me stay on his couch that night. It was leather, like everything else that man seemed to own, but it was comfortable. I woke up to the smell of bacon filling the air. I groaned and rubbed my fists against my eyes, clearing them of sleep. I stretched my arms above my head in a yawn and rolled off the couch, stumbling into the kitchen. Negan was hunched over the bubbling pan, dodging pellets of grease as they shot up at him.
"Smells good!" I purred, closing my eyes and taking a deep inhale.
"Good," He grumbled "You better fucking enjoy it because I've gotten burned at least three times." I laughed and walked up to him examining the small red patches that dotted his arms.
"You didn't have to make me breakfast you know."
"Yea, but I wanted to make sure you were comfortable," He sighed, turning off the stove and scooping the cooked bacon onto a paper towel. "Besides, I was craving some bacon when I woke up. I haven't had someone to share a meal with in a while."
"Well, if you want, you can come by my house for dinner." I offered, crunching down on a piece of bacon "I've been meaning to whip out the family alfredo recipe for a while, maybe a hot date would give me that incentive." I gave him a playful wink and he chuckled.
"Sure thing, doll," He hummed, putting the pan in the sink "I love me some fucking spaghetti. I'll see you around seven?"
"Sounds good."
~~~
I ran down the sidewalk, chest heaving. There was enough darkness to cover me, but I still kept my head down to prevent recognition. I held my hands close to my stomach, praying that the blood on my fingers wouldn't drip on the pavement and leave a trail. I had been on my way home from the store when I heard some commotion coming from an alley. My first instinct was to run, but then I heard the girl crying for help. Negan came to mind, what he did, how he helped people. I couldn't turn away. I marched down the alley and saw a greasy man pinning a woman to the wall of a building. Flashbacks of the night before hit me like a train. I looked on top of the alley dumpster and saw a crowbar perched on one of the lids. I grabbed it and stormed up to the man, whacking him upside the head with the weapon. I kicked him to the side and brought the crowbar over my head before swinging it down. It connected with his face in a sickening 'thwack.' I thought of Will. I thought of what might of happened if Negan had never stopped him. I thought of all the times that bastard had gotten drunk and told me I was nothing. I let the rage bubble up and fuel my beating. By the time I was pulled back into the moment, my muscles were screaming, the woman was gone, and the man's face was unrecognizable. I tossed the crowbar into the dumpster and ran back home.
Dried blood is extremely hard to wash off. It sticks to your skin in flakes, creating a pattern of red veins crawling over your hands. Fuck. I scrubbed as hard as I could under the rushing water of the sink, pumping more and more soap into my hand. It was under my fingernails. It was stuck in my palm prints. Shit, did I leave fingerprints at the scene? Would they be coming for me? With a hiss, I rubbed even harder at my skin, small flecks of blood turning the sink water red.
Suddenly, my door opened.
"I'm ready for my s'getties!" Negan boomed with a wide smile. My head whipped around, looking at him with wide eyes. His grin faded and he crossed the room in record time, grabbing my wrists and turning the sink off. "Is this fucking blood?" He snarled, bringing my hands up to my face. I clenched my jaw and dropped my eyes to my feet. "Jesus, who's is it? Answer me!"
"I-I heard someone screaming on the way home," I said quietly, eyes still downcast "I thought I would help..." His jaw went slack and he let go of my hands, running his fingers through his hair.
"Jesus fuck, you can't just go around killing people!"
"Why not?" I snapped, eyes meeting his "You do it all the time? What's the difference? Why can't I help people?"
"Because it...Because you just can't!" Negan growled, shaking his head.
"Why are you so special?" I hissed back, drying my hands off on a towel before tossing it at him "It's not like you can get a permit for fucking murder. Why do you do it, anyways? Is it some perverted thing? Do you get off on saving people from attackers?"
"Watch yourself." Negan warned, eyes darkening.
"Pfft, or what?" I laughed, tossing my head back "What are you gonna do, kill me? I'm not afraid of you, Negan." As soon as the words left my mouth, he charged me. His hand flew to my throat, squeezing my airway lightly. His hips pressed me against the counter. I let out a small gasp when he shoved his face next to mine.
"Oh, but doll, you really fucking should be." He spat, curling his lip "I could snap your neck right here, right now." He gave a small squeeze to emphasize his words. I let out a strangled moan. We both froze. "Are you turned on right now?" He muttered, furrowing his brow. I licked my lips and squirmed in his grip, pressing my thighs together slightly in an effort to alleviate the warm pressure growing in my belly.
"No," I lied, voice weak. A sinister grin curled over the bottom half of his face and he licked his tongue over his teeth.
"And I'm the perv, huh?" He sucked on my earlobe and peppered kisses down my jawline "Sweetheart, tell me, do you want me to fuck that pretty little pussy of yours? Do you want me to make you cum harder than you ever have?" I whimpered at his dirty mouth. "Use your words, doll, or I'll leave right fucking now."
"Y-Yes!" I breathed as Negan's lips sucked on the sweet spot right beneath my ear.
"Yes, what, princess?"
"Yes, I want you to fuck me, please!" I groaned, clawing at his shirt. He let out a short chuckle, muttering something about how needy I was, but I didn't care. Right now, the only thought running through my head was that I needed Negan. I needed all of him. And damn me if I wasn't going to get it.
We clawed at each other's clothes like rabid animals. Once we were completely bare, Negan moved his kisses down my body. His large, calloused hands kneaded my breasts, twisting my nipples between his thumbs. My arms flew around his neck and I dragged my fingernails up his back. He shivered against my touch and slid his hands further down my body. They settled firmly on my hips as he captured my lips in a fervent kiss.
"Fuck, sweetheart," he grunted, pulling back for air. I looked at him. His tawny eyes were now black, pupils far beyond dilated with lust. Both of our lips were swollen and red from the intensity of our kisses. Negan's chest inflated and deflated quickly as his eyes roamed over my body. "You're so damn perfect." I smiled sheepishly and pulled my bottom lip between my teeth, looking up at him through lidded eyes.
"You're not so bad yourself," I reached out my hand and used my pointer finger to draw a line from his collar bone down the center of his chest and through his navel, finally ending right over his pulsing cock. He sucked in a breath as my fingers closed around him. My thumb swept over the hot tip, gathering precum on the pad of my finger and rubbing it around.
"Shit," He hissed as I slowly pumped him "I'm not gonna fucking last if you keep doing that." He gently pried my hand away and took a step closer to me. I could feel his hardened length resting against the inside of my thigh. The thought of him being so close made a burst of heat rush down between my thighs. Negan took a long finger and ran it through my folds, collecting my wetness. I moaned as he teasingly dipped the first knuckle into me. He pulled back and let out a low whistle. "Damn, girl," he chuckled, raising his finger to my face "You're fucking dripping. Who's that for?" His slick-coated fingers glistened in the light of my apartment. I let out a deep groan as he slid them between his lips and sucked.
"You, Negan!" I whimpered, wrapping my legs around his waist "It's all for you." A wolfish grin spread over his features as he tugged me off him and pulled me down off the counter. He spun me around and pressed gently between my shoulder blades until my chest was flat against the cold surface.
"Then if you don't mind," Negan cooed, lining himself up with my entrance "I'm going to take what belongs to me." With that, he slowly pushed into me. I gasped at the stretch, balling my hands into fists as he continued to split me open.
"Fucking shit," he groaned once he bottomed out "you're tight as hell. I bet you've never had a dick as big as mine." He pulled out slightly and I let out a moan at the growing emptiness inside. The moan soon turned to a yelp when he brought down his hand against my ass. The smack was loud and he rubbed the red spot tenderly. "Have you?"
"N-No!" I gasped when he thrusted into me for the first time "Never. Fuck, you feel so good." Negan's thrusts sped up, his hips snapping against my ass in an obscene rhythm. Grunts and moans of pleasure slipped from both of our lips as he plowed unapologetically into me. I could feel every inch of him. He was hitting every spot, dragging against my walls in a sinfully perfect way.
"You're doing so good," He purred, kissing and biting my shoulder "So good for me. You're so perfect." I tossed my head back and he grabbed my chin, tilting my face towards him so he could give me another bruising kiss. I could only keep up for so long, though, and the white bliss of pleasure he was giving me soon became overwhelming. My jaw went slack and my head dropped against the cool tile of the counter in an attempt to ground myself in the moment. "I want you to cum, doll, cum around me. Wanna feel those walls squeeze me." His thrusts were starting to become sloppy and I could tell he was getting to his end. One of his fingers danced down my spine and found its way to my clit. He circled it with just enough pressure to get me to the edge that I was so willing to jump off. "Now." Negan growled. I obeyed, feeling the band in my lower abdomen snapping violently. We reached our releases simultaneously. My walls clenched around him, milking him of every drop. I screwed my eyes shut and screamed his name, holding in a large breath as the world around me spun. Negan eventually pulled himself out and collapsed on top of me. We both were breathing heavily, sweaty bodies entangled as well as we could over a counter. I swallowed, my throat dry from panting through my orgasm. When my eyes fluttered open, I could see Negan's thumb tracing circles over the love bites that were starting to darken on my shoulders.
"Are you going to kill me?" I rasped, running a hand through my wild hair "I guess I'm a bad person now." Negan chuckled, still out of breath.
"I think I'll make an exception," He mused, pressing a sweet kiss to the shell of my ear "I don't think I'm ready to let you go just yet."
Water and Wine (Yandere Yelena x Reader)
Pairing: Yandere Yelena x Female Reader
Author’s Note: This is my first full fanfic ever, so if anyone has feedback pls lmk!! Just a reminder that since this is technically my first fic, it’s likely not perfect, and please be respectful of that when reading. Additionally, this is a work of fiction and I do not condone any of the actions in this story. I write about different and dark topics to express my imagination and develop character ideas.
This piece is for the Too Hot To Fuck collab hosted by @captainmcslashypaws
Summary: Yelena’s been pining after you, even though the feeling isn’t mutual. With your horrible behaviour, the nice dinner she’s planned has been ruined. You understand she has to punish you for that, right?
Warnings: Non-con, yandere behaviour, drowning, waterboarding, dark themes, smut.
Word Count: 1.2k
The cold hard table slaps your face as you feel yourself being forced onto it again. You can taste the blood running down your face, your teeth chipping with every crack. You can see the tablecloth beginning to turn red under you. This is the fifth, maybe sixth time she’s slammed your face against the table.
“You dumb bitch.” She seethes, yanking you back up by your scalp. It hurts, it hurts badly, but seeing her loom over you with that murderous look on her face replaces everything in you with pure, unfiltered fear.
“Yelena, please,” You plead, hoping to resonate with something inside her. “I don’t know why you’re doing this to me! I know you’re an anti-Marylean volunteer, I know about your mission to Paradis, to help the Yeagers. I don’t get it- I- why are you doing this to me?”
She’s taller than you, much taller, and you’re painfully aware of the height difference and she’s getting closer when she gestures between you to sit down at the table. It seems like she once had it set up for a fancy dinner, with what used to be wine bottles and wine glasses now smashed upon the floor. You wouldn’t want to have dined with her knowing what you know now either way.
Suddenly, she the expression on her face turns neutral. “I think,” She says slowly, “I may have been getting ahead of myself.” You’re thankful that your half-mad kidnapper is willing to talk, talk, and stop grinding your face away. What only happened minutes ago was enough to give you scarring nightmares. “I guess that maybe you haven’t recognized that I’ve been pining after you.” She says suddenly.
What? Pining after you? But you have a boyfriend and-
“I shouldn’t have made assumptions about your… abilities to pick up your surroundings, which I also believe you lack in various other areas, but I can’t deny it stung seeing you with him.”
You know Yelena’s talking about your boyfriend, in the Garrison regiment. You can only pray he’s ok.
“What do you want from me?” You ask, leaning back in your seat to distance yourself from her. She’s terrifying, glowering at you, and then her face suddenly twists into a sharp smile.
“I can come up with a few things I’d like.”
You sit there and stare back blankly, waiting for her first words. She watches you carefully, then throws her head back and begins to laugh.
“At first I just wanted to drink and converse with you, but at this point, I want to take the pace a little quicker.” What is she saying? When you don’t react immediately, she settles back into her seat, still keeping her grin.
“It should be obvious I want to fuck you.” You sit there silently, unmoving, watching her.
“I’m not having sex with you. You’re insane.” You say slowly.
“Maybe,” She shrugs, beginning to stand up. “But you’ll do what I want or I’ll punish you.”
Instead of walking to where you are, Yelena moves towards a large mahogany cabinet at the far end of the room. She pulls out a large canister of water, a piece of cloth, and a human sized board, with a long buckle across the middle. She moves past you to lay the board down onto the table, and sets the water canister on the ground. Finally, cloth in hand, she turns to you.
It’s disturbing how quiet she is, standing there silently while her dark eyes bore into you. All of a sudden, she lifts you up and slams you down and onto the board, making sure to fasten you down right away.
“Hm,” Yelena murmurs. “I think you need to be taught a lesson,”
The last thing you see is a flash of short blond hair before the piece of cloth is forced over your face aggressively. You feel water begin to pour over your face, and your lungs begin to burn. You’re blindly drowning, you’re burning up alive, and all the while you scream.
As soon as the wave of pain comes, it stops, and only the cloth is left on your face.
“Yelena-” You wheeze, still gasping for air. She only shushes you and tightens the strap.
“Apologies, but I had to do that,” You know she’s lying. From the sound of her voice, she seems like she’s enjoying this. “You should understand that this is how I treat bad behaviour from you.”
You stay silent and tense up, as you begin to feel your shirt unbutton.
“This is going to feel good, don’t worry,” Yelena coos, her long fingers working quickly on you.
You feel her lips brush against your skin, peppering you with kisses as she moves down to your chest. She smiles at your nipples, and begins to nip at them. It feels good, in an awful and sick way. The same woman who tried to drown you was now leaving love bites all over your body, and you hate it so as a latch ditch effort you send the best sharp kick you can muster to her crotch. It lands, and for a second she yelps and jolts off you.
For a second, you feel good, until you remember that you’re the one tied down to the board.
Yelena lets out a quiet kind of laugh, before you hear even more clothing being removed. But this time it isn’t yours.
“It’s a good thing I decided to wear the strap today,” She says, and you can’t help but feel scared.
“Now I can fuck you and punish you at the same time.”
You squirm and squirm until you feel your pants being torn off, and something both hard and cold at your entrance. Yelena’s large hand rests on your upper thigh, and within seconds, you feel a thrust and your body being invaded by something too big. It hurts sitting there inside you, and it feels worse when you try to move.
And then, you begin to feel the water trickling over the cloth again, and a burning sensation returns to your lungs. All the while, Yelena begins to move and thrusts inside you. You scream your throat raw, but all Yelena does is laugh and moan.
“You’re so- urgh,” She pants, ignoring your noises. “Finally you’re being good for me.”
Water begins to fill you out even deeper, and you gargle your screams. She laughs even harder, and you feel as if you’re dying. She stops the water, but keeps moving inside you as you lie there coughing. Her bare thighs move against yours, and finally, she slows to a stop. She pulls out, and you hear clothing rustle in front of you.
Yelena pulls the cloth off your face, and leans into you with a kiss. You begin to sob uncontrollably, and she unties you. You have no energy to move or do anything but cry and attempt to thrash around. You know you look like a gutted fish, left on a hook to finish dying.
Yelena’s unreadable face begins to soften at your expense, and she sits on the table next to you, beginning gently caressing your face.
“I may have gotten overexcited,” She says, pulling you closer to her as she pets your head. You hate her. “But I had to break you before I brought you home.”
And just like that, the fear you thought was starting to melt away begins to enter you again. Deep inside, you can’t shake the feeling that the horrible experience you just had wasn’t going to be a one time thing.
The Distraction Continuation (Ghostface / Jed Olsen / Danny Johnson x Reader)
As requested, this is a continuation of the Distraction fic I made. Check out the first fic if you haven’t already. Enjoy! :)
You sighed deeply as you crossed your arms, shutting your eyes in slight annoyance at what was to come. Another trial. You hadn’t been in one for a while but your break was rather short-lived. There were three others that stood by your side. Ace Visconti, David King, and Yui Kimura. You respected them and actually enjoyed their company. Ace was funny, David taught you a couple of things, and Yui was always nice to you, encouraging you.
“Where do you think we’ll go this time?” Yui asked you, nudging your elbow with her own. You instantly lit up. Human interaction was comforting.
“Haven’t been to Hawkins or Glenvale in a bit.” Y/N replied with a slight shrug.
“My bet is the asylum.” Ace interrupted, pointing finger guns with that stupid smirk of his. Yui rolled her eyes, she didn’t seem to like Ace very much. Not since he flirted with her one time, even if it was jokingly.
“We might actually be there if Ace himself says so.” David said as the familiar gust of air surrounded the four of you.
You shut your eyes tightly, getting chills from the cold fog and air. The smell of fire and spring overcame you. Y/N opened their eyes, realizing that Ace’s bet was right. As always. A small laugh escaped your lips, a feeling of enjoyment before all hell could break loose again.
Your gaze averted to the familiar structure of the Crotus Prenn Asylum. A sound played in your head, the screech of the Nurse. You were always curious about her but never got the chance to even talk to her unlike... no, it was one time. You weren’t gonna go around and try talk to killers like you did with him.
You put your palm to your forehead, cringing at the memory. Not in a bad way but maybe you could’ve done something differently. No, not really. Jed was a psychopath, a murderer. He was charming in a fucked up sort of way. You sighed as you walked towards a generator behind the grey brick walls.
There wasn’t any indication that it was the Pig or Freddy, thankfully. You began to work on the generator. Your thoughts turned to the fear of being hooked, stabbed, and hurt. You shuddered at the thought of it, the feeling of the hook would probably never leave you. Death was forever here, unfortunately. Elodie and Felix’s conversation had given you hope, maybe there was a way out of here.
“Shit.” You mumble as you shielded your eyes from the small explosion.
Y/N huffed. You felt slightly disappointed in yourself and began again. Your head perked up as you heard stomping. It wasn’t loud enough to be the Oni or Trapper.
You kept a head on the generator as you noticed a dark figure stomping towards you. You needed a moment to process the situation. It was Ghostface? Oh shit, it was him, you thought. Flashbacks of your last encounter played in your head, he was definitely pissed off and you couldn’t blame it at this point.
“Don’t fucking try it.” He muttered in reference to you breaking into a sprint.
You felt panic wash over you as you quickly observed your surroundings. There weren’t any nearby pallets or vaults, it was a random open area near a hill with a chest and hook. Perfect, just perfect. Ghostface was quicker than usual, he grabbed you by the waist aggressively to tackle you down.
Ghostface held a knife to the back of your head once you hit the ground. You grunted as he put down all his weight onto you and assured that you wouldn’t be able to escape. The ground felt so uncomfortable, especially against your face. There was a few moments of you struggling beneath him to escape but it became no use. You stopped struggling after he pressed the blade against your skin.
“Didn’t bring a toolbox this time, Y/N?” He asked mockingly, pressing his gloved finger over the small slit. You winced at the stinging sensation but it was nothing you couldn’t handle.
“You know how to hold a grudge, Jed.” You replied. You were utterly terrified yet you always felt the need to reply to his stupid remarks.
“Indeed I do.” He replied, grabbing you and making you stand up. He held the knife to your back and pressed it slightly.
Ghostface was actually angry. He didn’t seem to mind actually hurting you or pressing the knife into your skin. You gasped at the painful sensation as he looked around, he saw the killer shack. He held a tight grip on your shoulder as he forced you to walk that way.
You instantly knew where he wanted to go. You just hoped the basement wasn’t there. Of course, you had known that this day would eventually come. But, why now? It was such awful timing, especially with the blue mood you had. Once the two of you reached the shack, he shoved you onto the ground aggressively.
“You’re pathetic... talking and talking last time we met. Now, you’re just a shitty excuse for a survivor.” He said to you. You scoffed.
“If it helps, Jed, I’m sorry.” Y/N replied. Your hand reached to the back of your neck where he had cut you. There wasn’t much blood but it still hurt. You stared at your bloodied fingertips as the man got more infuriated.
“You don’t get to call me that. And why the fuck are you apologizing?” He questioned you. His tone was venomous, this terrified you but him killing you was inevitable and well... you wanted to see him, anyways.
“If you didn’t care, you’d have hooked me now. I must’ve really hurt your feelings, huh?” You said, half-jokingly but you were also genuine.
“I don’t care.” He replied to you almost instantly. You knew that was a lie.
“Then why won’t you hook me? You could’ve slashed my back open but instead you pinned me to the ground... weirdo.” You mumbled.
He fell silent for a second. Ghostface was a bit baffled by you. Why weren’t you begging for your life? The version he remembered of you was different, or maybe he killed too many survivors that would beg. Not only that but he planned this out thoroughly. He was practically counting on you to scream and beg for your life. Ghostface had even made an offering for this realm because he researched it extensively, as he did with most of his previous murders.
Despite what he may have thought, Y/N was absolutely terrified. However, there was a strange feeling of attraction to him. Not necessarily a crush just yet but there was also a rivalry in which you felt comfortable talking to him. He felt like a real person. Well, of course he was a real person but you had no trouble making shitty remarks to him.
“I want this to last because you were being a little bitch last time. I’ve been dying to slice you open and make you regret that stupid little stunt you pulled.” He said to you.
You sat up, bringing one knee to your chest casually. There was a feeling of bravery that washed over you like last time. Y/N sighed deeply and looked around the shack. It was a basic shake. No totem, no gen.
“Yeah, sure... then do it.” You said to him.
“You’re not making this any easier.” He replied, more annoyed with you.
“Nothing you do is gonna make me regret what I did. Even if you do kill me and make me suffer, I’m still gonna come back alive. I’ve been puked on, trapped, and even had some weird ass trap put onto my head.” You said, standing up and pointing your finger to his chest.
“But you, Danny, only have a knife. I know the Legion or whatever their names are can use that better than you. You’re just a weirdo with a mask.” Y/N finished.
Ghostface seemed rather stunned, yet offended. Mainly because he couldn’t doubt anything you said. It became known that the Legion studied the human anatomy extensively, more than Danny ever cared to do. His area of expertise was stalking and memorizing a person’s schedule. But still. his ego was always bigger than any logic. The cloaked man grabbed your wrist. He oddly didn’t grab it too tight, he lifted your arm over your head.
“And what does that make you? I’m still better than you to some degree. You’re trapped here because the Entity thinks you deserve it and I get to kill anybody I desire.” He said, the tip of his blade poking your stomach.
“I guess we’re both shitty people.” You shrugged as his grip somewhat loosened. He sighed deeply before throwing you towards the generator.
“I had hoped killing you would be satisfying.” He muttered, bitter that your reaction wasn’t what he imagined. You fixed your shirt slightly and leaned against the generator. A part of slowly began to accept the growing crush you developed on the strange murderer, you didn’t care at this point since you were damned to an eternity of trials.
“It probably would’ve been if you weren’t so easy to talk to.” You said to him as he snapped his head towards you, confused for a moment. Easy to talk to? He scoffed in response.
“Easy? You’re the fucking weirdo here.” He said, with a bit of a defeated tone.
“You’re no ladykiller, Danny, but... I’m charmed. I guess it’s something killers like you do though.” You said to him.
“I don’t charm or seduce people. I watch them.” He corrected you.
“Explains a lot.” You said, looking at your nails. Ghostface was quick to give into his ego and crossed his arms in a very stubborn manner.
“Actually, I did. As Jed Olsen, anyways. People were so trusting of him and neglected to suspect the new guy in town. It made it easy to watch people and I had a lot of excuses to spend hours doing so.” He said to you.
“Jed sounds nice.” Y/N shrugged.
“Well, Jed isn’t real, babe. He’s a shitty facade of what people like in a person. Made it so much easier for myself.” Ghostface said.
“Okay then,.. what did you do? As a career?” You asked him.
“I was a journalist and wrote for the Roseville Gazette. They made me cover my own killings and I did a good job doing so. Nobody could really understand my work though, no matter how much I tried to when I was Jed.” He said, a proud tone in his voice as he spoke. You were weirded out and cautious but you wanted to try and understand him.
“So, is that why you do it? For art?” You asked him as his head perked.
“That’s exactly why! There’s something very beautiful about the redness unique to somebody pouring out of them, even mixing with others. Not only that but just toying around and seeing how loud one can scream. Each scream is so unique and different. And just like art, you can fix your mistakes if it isn’t done right.” He explained, he seemed more relaxed.
“Fix? But wouldn’t they be dead?” You asked him, genuinely confused.
“You have to be an expert craftsman to fix it. A scream is a delicacy, something I choose not to indulge myself in often. Y’know, don’t want anybody hearing what goes on. When I do want to hear the screaming, it’s usually when my target has piqued my interest or mildly annoyed me. It feels rewarding after going through all the effort to memorize their lifestyle.” He said.
“A weird but cool way of looking at it, I suppose.” Y/N said.
You didn’t really care about morality at this point. Such things as the Entity exist, anyways, You weren’t sure what you did to deserve being stranded here. Even if you did have a weird romantic interest in him, so what? Why would the Entity care? Why would any Gods care? And even then, you seemed to have an interest in his hobby. Blood and killing didn’t faze you anymore.
“You think so?” He asked you.
“Depends on the person, I guess. I’d only do it to bad people.” You said.
“But, you’d do what I do?” He asked you.
“Yeah...?” You responded. Danny seemed a bit giddy.
“How would you do it?” Ghostface asked, he seemed way too excited to hear about your non-existent methods of killing.
“I don’t know...” Y/N replied, feeling somewhat flustered by how close he was to you. It was a different type of feeling when he wasn’t trying to stab you.
“If you want, I could show you some pictures and give you tips.” He said.
“And kill who? We’re stuck in this hellhole.” You reminded him.
“What about the other survivors? They can’t all be innocent.” Ghostface said to you. He had some appreciation for you since you listened. It was crazy how much this strange man can switch up.
“No, never. I’m not that crazy.” You said as the loud horn of the exit gates blared. You looked around, really surprised. He seemed just as surprised.
“That long?” He questioned.
“Guess I’m just that good of a distraction.” You said to him as he silently sighed in frustration but didn’t seem to care. A part of him enjoyed your talk.
“Guess you’re gonna be my one kill.” He said, shifting towards you and pushing you against the wall. You were taken aback by his swift movement.
You squirmed against his body, somewhat sliding downwards so kicking was pretty much useless unless you wanted to completely fall. The two of you grunted quietly as he turned you around, shoving your face against the hard wall. It was uncomfortable but he wasn’t being as rough as he usually was. At this point, you were scared of his knife so you tried pulling his hands away from you in the awkward position. Ghostface tightly pinned one of your arms on your back, you winced as he tugged on your hair.
He leaned inwards, poking his head towards your neck and hair. Ghostface took a moment to memorize your scent and what your hair texture might have felt like. For some strange reason, he seemed to want to learn everything about you. It might have been a bad idea for you to have opened him up about his art.
“Get off of me.” You demanded in a stern voice.
“You’re scaring me, Y/N.” He replied sarcastically.
You froze up when he slid his hand under your shirt, his fingertips trailing on your back. It wasn’t the motion itself but rather the feeling of his ungloved hand. You felt yourself go into a rather catatonic state, not in fear but you were quick to wonder why he would take his glove off. A thousand thoughts and scenarios played in your mind. His touch was soft but still managed to leave you with chills.
Ghostface, on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying himself. He made notes of how soft your skin felt, his hand curiously wandered upwards. It wasn’t long before his hand wandered to your more sensitive areas. A gasp escaped your mouth as kept you pinned with his knees, his hands groping you a bit more roughly. Your face heated up when he squeezed you, you didn’t seem to struggle either.
“Fuck...” You whispered.
“If only we had the time.” He mumbled, sticking three of his gloved fingers into your mouth. Your eyes rested as you stared upwards, allowing him to continue touching you.
“I bet you’re getting all excited over this... if only I could capture the look on your face right now. How does it feel? Having somebody like me have their way?” He asked you. You felt aroused yet ashamed to oblige him.
“It feels good...” You managed to say, his fingers still in your mouth.
You felt the bulge in his crotch grow hard but this wasn’t the time or place. As much as he wanted to fuck you then and there, he needed to have some control over himself. He pulled his hands away and slid his glove back on. You let out a sigh of relief but also a whine. You knew just as much as he did that it just wasn’t the right time. You wiped the saliva from your lips and slowly stood up.
He pulled you backwards by your waist. You felt him rub his knife near your crotch, gliding it teasingly. His other hand wrapped around your neck. You heard him chuckle rather darkly. At this point, you seemed more hot and bothered than he was. Ghostface squeezed your neck a little harder, wanting to get one last sound of of you before he let you go. He didn’t care whether or not the Entity would be displeased or not.
“Guess you’ll have to be a whore some other time.” He said, cutting you on the arm slightly. You pulled your arm away quickly.
“Whatever.” You replied, flustered by his comment. Did that just happen?
“Better go before the Entity kills you itself.” He said to you.
“Right, right... see you around, Danny.” You said before quickly walking away and then running towards the exit gates.
His head tilted curiously. Ghostface wasn’t sure if he had feelings or not. He admired you for listening to him and asking some questions though. But, now that he knew you’d do things with him willingly, he had some ideas. A wide smile grew behind his mask as he began to fantasize about the photos he would eventually take.
You would probably come to regret your actions, seeing as his obsession with you would grow. Danny needed to know everything about you and even felt a bit possessive now. It didn’t matter, there was many possibilities within the Fog. Pray that you’ll be ready for your next meeting.
Other than Ateez, all other names are fictional.
You woke up in a room that was similar to the one you were in at the human auction. You shivered in fear. Was your cousin really going to sell you now?
You broke down in tears. You didn't expect things to turn out this way at all. You wished you knew where your father was so that you could report your uncle and his son easily.
The door of the room you were in opened and a man walked in. "Ah! You're awake!"
"Where am I?" you asked Bojoon, glaring at him with disgust.
"At an auction, sweetheart." Your heart dropped. "Let's hope someone buys you for a very high price." You felt your stomach churn with anxiety. Who was going to help you now? You wished you hadn’t gone to the club.
"But before that..." he stepped forward to caress your cheek with the back of his hand. "I'm going to make you scream."
He moved his hand slowly from your cheek, down to your chest. "Stop," you whispered, earning a hard slap from him. He pushed you against the wall, forcing his knee in between your legs. Your cheek stung badly and you were sure his hand would’ve left a mark.
He snarled, harshly pulling on your hair. "Don't you dare open your mouth, you fucking bitch!"
He ripped the top part of your dress in half, exposing your upper body that was now only covered by your bra. You brought your hands up to cover yourself, but he pushed them away. Reaching into his pocket, he took out a pocket knife, making a large cut on your arm. You whimpered in pain, eyes filling with tears. He smirked at the cut that had began to bleed.
"Blood, my favorite! Ah, this makes it more exciting, doesn't it?" you didn’t reply, trying to control the urge to break down.
He moved his hands to your thighs. "Let's have some fun now, shall we?"
Bojoon was just about to touch your core, but someone snuck up behind him, piercing his neck with a syringe.
You slid down the wall, eyes scrunched closed and ears covered while Bojoon screamed in pain. In a few seconds, the screaming stopped and you heard him fall to the floor with a thud. You slowly peaked, finding Bojoon unconscious on the floor. Was he dead?
You glanced up at the two figures who were present in the room, both dressed in all black; one of them was smaller than the other. Both of them were wearing a black mask and hat. The bigger one approached you, kneeling down. He took his leather jacket off, wrapping it around your body.
"Wear it. It's cold," he said softly, helping you slide your arms into the sleeves. He zipped the jacket up to the top before helping you stand up. The jacket came right below your knee.
"Let's get out of here fast, Yunho," the smaller one said and you recognized him. You were surprised you couldn’t recognize Yunho by his voice.
"San…?"
"Yes, it's me, Kiah," San replied and you sighed in relief before breaking down in tears again.
San approached you and slowly pulled you into his arms. "Shh, you're safe now. We won't let anyone hurt you, alright?" You didn’t say anything while you cried onto his chest, tears soaking his shirt.
"Kiah, we have to get out of here before his men come here," Yunho remarked. "Can I carry you?" You nodded and Yunho took you from San's arms, lifting you bridal-style.
"Yeosang, is the area clear?" San questioned through his earpiece.
"Yes, but there's someone at the exit," Yeosang informed.
"Got it," San said before turning to Yunho. "Alright, let's go. Kiah, just close your eyes, okay?" You nodded, obeying him.
You could feel Yunho running fast with you in his arms. You heard a gunshot, making you let out a scream, scrunching your eyes tightly.
"Don't worry. I’ve got you," Yunho whispered to you.
After a few more seconds, you felt Yunho place you on a car seat. You opened your eyes, watching Yunho close the car door and run to the driver's seat. San quickly slides into shotgun before shooting someone who came out of the building.
Yunho immediately started to drive and San shifted to the backseat, sitting beside you. He took off his mask and hat, ruffling his hair with his hand.
"Are you okay?" San asked worriedly.
"Y-Yeah," your voice broke and you began to cry. San pulled you into his arms, letting you cry on him again. There was a lot of blood dripping down your arm from the cut Bojoon gave you.
"Yunho, how far are we from home?" San questioned. "Kiah's bleeding and we don't have a first aid kit in this car."
"We're about two kilometers away," Yunho answered, speeding up.
In about three minutes, you reached Ateez's mansion. This time, San carried you inside, walking at a fast pace.
"Yeosang! Seonghwa!" he yelled before setting you down on the couch in a room that looked like a medical laboratory. There was another room attached to it and you could obviously tell that it was an operating room. You weren’t surprised as you knew Ateez had enough money to have their own mini hospital at home.
The two men cautiously approached you, not wanting to accidentally trigger you in any way after they were filled in about what happened.
"I'm fine," you told them.
Seonghwa sat beside you, slowly touching your arm. "Can I?" he asked and you nodded. He pushed the sleeve of Yunho's black leather jacket up, revealing the bleeding cut. “Could you take the jacket off so that I can treat you?” you did as he said.
He cleaned the cut with cotton dipped in lukewarm water and you flinched at the sting. Looking down at the cut, you noticed how it was wider on one side.
"You will need stitches," Seonghwa stated. You glanced at the cut; he was right, of course.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" Yeosang asked.
You shook your head. "No... Only my head hurts." Seonghwa started to gather whatever he needed to stitch up your wound.
Yeosang nodded. "I'll give you a painkiller for your head." He said, moving to the cabinet.
"Okay," you replied before turning to look at San and Yunho. “Thank you…”
"You don't have to thank us, Kiah," Yunho said with a smile. "We're just glad you're safe."
After Seonghwa stitched and bandaged your wound, he asked you a few questions about how you were feeling while Yeosang made you take a painkiller.
A loud bang was heard and Hongjoong stormed into the room.
"Do you even realize what you've fucking done?!" Hongjoong yelled at you in a stern tone. He looked extremely angry; it actually really scared you.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, lowering your head in shame.
He scoffed. "You should be fucking sorry! And you two," he turned to face San and Yunho who looked just as scared as you. "How dare you both start your own little mission without asking me, hmm?! We made a deal with Moon Younghyun long ago that we will not interfere in their personal matters and they won't interfere in ours! Do you even realize who you killed?! You killed his fucking son!" You flinched at the way he was yelling. "You've put yourselves and our entire gang in unnecessary danger!"
"We didn't kill him," San mumbled, not making eye contact with Hongjoong. "We only made him unconscious."
"And you went through all that fucking bullshit for what?" Hongjoong pointed a finger at you. "To get this damn chick out?! She doesn't even want to be here!" You felt really bad that the boys were getting scolded because of you.
"She was going to get sold again, hyung," Yunho mumbled while looking at the floor.
Hongjoong chuckled bitterly. "So what? Like I said before, she doesn't want to be here. She escaped from us, right? Why the fuck are you so bothered about her?! Whether she gets sold or not, it's not our fucking problem!" Your eyes teared up; you felt so guilty for escaping.
"That's enough, Hongjoong," Seonghwa stated sternly.
"Don't take their side when you know that they're wrong, Seonghwa," Hongjoong retorted.
"Do you even know what Moon Younghyun's son was going to do to Kiah?"
"No, and I seriously don't care about what he was going—"
"He was going to rape her, Hongjoong. He already assaulted her," Seonghwa explained, cutting Hongjoong off. "Fortunately, San and Yunho got there in time."
There was pin-drop silence in the room.
Hongjoong opened his mouth a couple of times to say something, but nothing came out. He looked like he was in deep thought.
"I… I'm sorry," he whispered, not looking at you, before leaving the room. You wondered what suddenly came over him.
"Is he okay?" you questioned.
"Don't worry about it," Seonghwa said with a small smile. He exchanged a glance with Yeosang who nods and leaves the room as well. You were pretty confused by their glance-communication, but you didn't say anything.
"I'm really sorry,” you apologized to San and Yunho. "You both got scolded because of me."
San frowned. "Don't apologize, Kiah. We've been scolded many times before."
"Yeah," Yunho agreed with San. "Hyung is just angry because we didn't tell him about it and he’s scared to lose us. If we had informed him, he would be the first person to rescue you."
You only nod, accepting whatever they said. "By the way… how did you both find me?" You couldn’t help but ask.
"Well, Yunho and I were searching for you everywhere after you left," San explained. "We figured you'd go to a club or some bar, so we checked everywhere. Yunho saw you passing out and by the time he ran to our own car to go after you, your cousin's car was no where in sight. Yeosang had to hack into a lot of cameras in close-by areas to find out where exactly you were taken to." You nodded, listening to whatever he was saying.
"Kiah?" Yunho started in a hesitant tone. "Do you… really not want to live with us?"
You let out a sigh as you pondered about what he said. "I don't want to, honestly. There's nothing wrong with you guys, but the whole mafia lifestyle… I just didn't expect that. I really just want to become a nurse and live a normal life."
"Kiah, I'd like to mention something," Seonghwa said in a soft tone. "Your uncle has been in the mafia business since before you were even born." Your eyes widened at his words as you didn't know that; you thought your uncle was just a corrupted politician. "You were basically born into that life even if your parents aren't into it. And since you lived under his roof, you were actually constantly at risk." You only keep quiet, letting his words sink in.
"Stay with us for a week," San suggested. "If you still want to leave after that… we'll let you go."
~
The next morning, Yunho and Mingi gave you a tour around the mansion while they told you random stories of the missions they've gone on. You found yourself enjoying their company. You were quite surprised at the amount of money mafias make; you were so sure that Ateez were billionaires.
The three of you sat on the benches at the mansion's garden, getting a little sun.
"When did you both join the mafia?" you curiously asked the two giants who were literally a foot taller than you. They had such bright and bubbly personalities that you couldn't even believe they were in a mafia gang, let alone one of the most powerful gangs out there.
"Yunho and I have been close friends ever since we were thirteen, and we joined Ateez together," Mingi said. "After my parents were murdered when I was seventeen, Yunho's parents took me in. But since I witnessed my parents' murder and saw the murderers' faces, they came after Yunho's family and killed his parents while searching for me because I had escaped before they could kill me as well."
"But we got our sweet revenge after we joined Ateez," Yunho added with a smirk. "Hongjoong came up to us during my parents' funeral and promised to kill the murderers if we joined his gang. He kept his word and the murderers were, in fact, another mafia gang."
"Do you ever regret joining the gang?" you questioned, curious because they joined only to take revenge.
"Nope."
"Never."
"Ateez is our family now," Yunho stated with a smile. "Hongjoong created this family and we're all genuinely happy even if this isn't a normal lifestyle. We're almost always at some risk, but we got each other's backs." Mingi nodded his head in agreement.
"Wow," was all you could say. The boys only laughed at that.
"It's a little overwhelming, I know," Mingi chuckled.
"Let's go back inside," Yunho suggested. "It's cold out here, you know?" You and Mingi nodded before making your way inside the mansion.
As soon as you entered the mansion, you were hit with the scent of something absolutely amazing. Mingi inhaled deeply, a wide smile immediately appearing on his face.
"Wooyoung is cooking!" Mingi squealed before running to sit on the couch in the living room. You sat beside him, and Yunho sat on the opposite couch.
"He always does, dumbass," Yeosang muttered from the kitchen while helping Wooyoung. Even Jongho was there, cutting some vegetables.
Mingi pouted a little. "Seonghwa hyung cooks sometimes too, okay! Besides, I'm really hungry."
"Food will be ready in another hour," Wooyoung informed while stirring some stew. "Why don't you eat an apple for now, Mingi?"
"Jongho," Mingi called out.
You watched Jongho wash two apples before he made his way to the living room where you, Mingi, and Yunho were seated. He stood in front of Yunho and effortlessly split one of the apples in half, handing one half of it to Yunho and putting the other half in between his teeth, leaving you dumbfounded. He split the other apple and handed one half to you and the other half to Mingi.
You glanced at Mingi and Yunho who didn't even seem fazed by Jongho's actions.
"Did I just witness the baby of the family break two apples in halves with his bare hands?" Jongho smiles brightly at your words.
"He may be the baby, but he's scary as fuck," Mingi mumbled from beside you, making you raise an eyebrow while you ate your piece of apple; you found Jongho absolutely adorable. You were about to say something, but Hongjoong came into the living room, his eyes on you.
"Can we talk?" he asked, making eye contact for barely three seconds before he turned around and walked away. You bit your lip nervously, unsure of what to do after the way he lashed out on you last night.
"Go on," Jongho said. "He won't yell at you or anything, I'm sure of it." You only nod before getting up and following Hongjoong.
You followed Hongjoong to the large library of the mansion. You didn't get to see the inside of the library when Mingi and Yunho showed you around. They said you would spend a lot of time in there anyway.
When you entered the library, your jaw dropped. The large bookshelves were floor to ceiling, and only one of the walls had a window that was floor to ceiling as well. You loved reading, so you were quite astonished at the amount of books they had in here. You could see big, thick books on one of the shelves and you just knew that they were definitely medical books. There were also large couches to lounge on while you read. It even had a fridge and a coffee maker.
Hongjoong sat down on one of the couches placed at the end. You stood there awkwardly, not uttering a word. He patted the free space beside him, signaling you to sit down.
You hesitantly move to sit down beside him, looking down at your hands and fiddling with your fingers while you waited for him to talk about whatever he wanted to talk about. Somehow, you felt quite nervous. Was he going to yell at you for causing a huge problem for his gang? Or was he going to kill you for that? If any of the two are going to happen, you were hoping for the former; you really did not want to die in a mafia's mansion… although, it wasn't that bad of a place to die in.
You heard him inhale and exhale deeply. "I'm sorry, Kiah."
You stopped playing with your fingers and looked up at him, wondering if you heard him clearly. "What…?"
"I’m sorry," he repeated, running a hand through his hair. "For lashing out on you like that without knowing what exactly happened." You were not expecting that at all, considering Hongjoong had quite the temper.
Your eyebrows furrowed in slight confusion. "Shouldn't you apologize to San and Yunho instead?"
"I already apologized to them," he remarked. "I shouldn't have yelled at you when you were in such a state."
"No, it’s okay, I understand why you did that," you mumbled, looking away. It was true, you really did understand. "I put your gang at risk."
He nodded. "Yes, you did. But I'm glad San and Yunho saved you before…" he gulped, “before anything worse could happen."
"Why?" you murmured. You really thought that he hated you after whatever happened.
Hongjoong leaned back against the couch, head titled back, staring at the ceiling. "Because I had to witness someone I loved and cherished get raped in front of my eyes,” he said in a soft voice. "She was my sister… she didn't survive. They raped and then killed her right in front of my eyes… four months ago." A soft gasp escaped from you; your heart felt like it just got shattered. Tears spilled from your eyes as you choked back a sob.
"I'm so sorry," you whispered to him, pulling him into a comforting hug that he immediately melted into. "I'm really sorry."
Hongjoong couldn't control his own tears. He broke down as soon as he saw your tears, unable to control himself any longer. As the leader of a powerful mafia gang, he always tried to stay strong in front of his gang members, never showing how broken he felt at times even though he knew that they knew how he felt. He just didn't want to show any signs of weakness when he has people to lead.
But right now, Hongjoong needed this. He really just wanted and needed someone to hold him while he cried his heart out.
He sniffled. "I know you hate this life, but I want you to stay with us… with me," he whispered the last part but you heard him.
"Please, let me protect you," he continued. "I will never forgive myself if anything happens to you. Please, stay here."
His words caused your heartbeat to speed up, butterflies fluttering about in your stomach. You pulled away from the embrace, reaching out to wipe his tears. “Okay, I’ll stay.”
He smiled a little, lightly placing his lips onto your head, making your heart go crazy. "Thank you, Kiah."
~
The next day during breakfast, you found two unfamiliar faces seated at the dining table with the rest of the boys and Jiwoo.
"Good morning," you greeted before you took the free seat beside Hongjoong. He gave you a smile that you couldn't help but return.
"Good morning!" A few of them said while the others just smiled at you. The dining table was filled with waffles, bacon, and cut fruits.
"Ah, so she's the little trouble!" one of the two girls with short hair said.
You chuckled. "The one and only," you replied, making her laugh.
"I like her already," she remarked with a smirk. "I believe we're the last of the members who you haven't met. I'm Aeji and she's Yeoreum." So these were Seonghwa's and Mingi's girls respectively.
"Sorry to interrupt your introduction session, ladies," Wooyoung said. "But could you please pass the chocolate syrup? My waffles are getting cold, you know?"
Aeji snorted before passing the bottle of chocolate syrup to Wooyoung whose face lit up immediately at the sight of it.
Hongjoong put two chocolate chip waffles on your plate. "Eat well, hmm?" he said and you nodded before talking a bite of the waffle.
Your eyes widened at the taste; these were definitely the best waffles you have ever eaten in your twenty two years (and counting) of existence.
"She loves them," Aeji said to Seonghwa who gave you a happy smile while you ate.
"I'm glad," Seonghwa stated. He always felt good whenever someone enjoyed his food
"Everyone loves whatever you make anyway," Mingi mumbled while stuffing his face.
"So true," Yunho agreed. "If we didn't have Wooyoung and Seonghwa hyung, we would've pretty much survived on take out."
You couldn't even believe how these people were in the mafia. They just seemed so normal. At least in this very moment, they did.
All eleven of them made you feel so welcomed. Even Hongjoong was being so nice to you. When you told them that you decided on staying with them, everyone was ecstatic. You were quite surprised that they trusted you so easily; you had seen a couple of mafia movies before, and usually, the hostage isn't trusted at all. People in the mafia are portrayed as cold-hearted monsters, but these people in front of you seemed far from it.
After breakfast, you headed to the library of the mansion to check out which books they had. You were surprised to find so many fictions and comics. You pulled a book off of one of the shelves, reading the blurb on the cover at the back.
"Found something interesting?" you heard Hongjoong say from behind you, scaring you. You took a step back as reflex, your back pressed against the bookshelf. You had no idea when he entered the library.
"Fuck, you scared me!"
Hongjoong chuckled before his eyes fell to the book you were holding. "Mastering her senses," he read the title of the novel aloud . The way he said those three words made you suck in a breath; it sounded so hot. His eyes stared into yours while a smirk formed on his handsome face.
You involuntarily bit your lip and it didn't go unnoticed by him. "Have you read this book?" you questioned, looking up at him with innocent eyes despite holding a book that was erotic.
Hongjoong took a small step towards your body that was still pressed against the bookshelf. "Mhmm, I have read it," he answered, his tongue darting out to wet his plump lips. "I like erotic romance novels," he remarked, his gaze falling to your lips for a second. His phone started ringing and he takes it out from his pocket. "You should read it," he said before walking away to answer the call.
You closed your eyes and took a deep breath before shakily exhaling. "Fuck," you whined, exasperated due to the dull ache you felt down there. Kim Hongjoong really just made you get aroused. You wondered if he did it on purpose or if you were just feeling that way because it has been pretty long since you got some action. You were guessing it was both.
~
Sometime before twilight, you decided to take a walk around the mansion, exploring the area more. There was a small building at the back that wasn't attached to the mansion; it was just a plain white block with a door and no windows. Mingi and Yunho didn't tell you what the building was used for when they gave you a tour around the mansion. You were quite curious to know about it now as you stared at the large steel doors that required a passcode to open.
The door of the building suddenly opened, revealing Wooyoung and Hongjoong who were having a conversation. They stopped talking when they noticed you standing a few feet away from the entrance.
"Oh? Kiah? What are you doing here?" Wooyoung asked, a little surprised to see you here of all places.
"I was taking a walk," you answered. "What is this building? Mingi and Yunho didn't tell me anything about it."
"Ah, they probably didn't want to scare you off," Hongjoong replied.
"Oh…” you murmured, obviously understanding that it had some mafia-related stuff inside.
"By the way," Wooyoung starts, making you look at him. "Uh, I don't know how else to put this, but you really need to learn how to use a gun, Kiah."
Your eyes widened. "A gun? Why?"
"To protect yourself, just in case," he answered. "Everyone saw your face at the auction and they all will assume that you're a sex slave now. If any of them find you roaming around freely, even if you're with any of us, they might abduct you." Wooyoung's words made a chill run down your spine, but you acted like as if you were fine. Honestly, you were terrified, and they both could see that.
"Okay," you agreed without a second thought.
"I'll teach her," Hongjoong said, earning a nod from Wooyoung. He looked at you, giving you a small smile. "Do you want to start now?"
"Sure," you answered and he took your hand in his, pulling you inside the white building. You were surprised to find that there was absolutely nothing inside except a few bicycles. Hongjoong pauses at another set of doors before entering the passcode, revealing a set of stairs. He pulled you along with him, walking past a couple of doors, and you felt like this place was familiar.
"Haven't I been here?" you questioned, eyebrows furrowing in slight confusion as you tried to recall when you’ve been here.
"Yes, the interrogation room is here," Hongjoong explained, "This entire area is connected to the mansion."
"What do you use this area for?" you blurted out.
"Various things," he simply answered before stopping in front of a door and entering a passcode again; they had a lot of security here. Once you entered the room, you realized that it was a large shooting range. Your eyes widened at the sight of various guns adorning one of the walls. You couldn’t even imagine how much money was spent on it.
Hongjoong took a pair of headphones and yellow tinted glasses before making you wear them. He handed you a small, thin silver gun after loading it with a few bullets. "Safety's off, be careful," he warned and you nodded, holding the gun like as if it was very delicate.
"Well, using a gun is very simple," Hongjoong starts, "It's exactly how they show it in movies, aim and pull the trigger. Your aim will always be the most important thing when it comes to shooting, and it's best to shoot the heart.”
Hongjoong demonstrates how to shoot, and the bullet perfectly hit the dummy target’s heart. “See? It’s that simple. You can try it now.”
You put both your hands on the grip of the gun, tilting your head slightly to check if your aim was at the dummy target's heart. You were shaking a little, but you tried your best to ignore it.
"Pull the trigger when you’re ready."
And so you did.
However, the gun recoiled, making you shriek as you fell backwards… right into Hongjoong’s arms.
"Oops, I forgot to mention about the knockback," he chuckled against your head before helping you stand up straight. He looked at the dummy target that you shot. "Mhmm, not bad for a beginner. You shot him in the liver, princess." Your heart raced at the name he called you.
Hongjoong put an arm around your waist, pulling your body against his while he raised your arm a little, focusing on the target. "Shoot," he whispered, and you pulled the trigger again. "See? Bullet to the heart. We're going to practice everyday, yeah? That’s how you’ll become better at it.”
Of Wolves and Witches
Pairing: Werewolf!Bishop Losa x Witch!Reader
Word Count: 3088
For: covers the monster square for @adarafaelbarba 's moodboard fall bingo
TW: violence and accidental death via a nightmare/flashback sequence, brief mentions of mental, emotion, and physical abuse, PTSD, and covering up a crime scene
Author's Notes: The Mayans Werewolf AU that no one asked for, but i wrote it anyway. It starts out dark, but ends with fluff, I promise. This is my first time writing for Bishop, so please go easy on me... a big thank you to @itsjustmyfantasyroom for letting me run this idea by her and reassuring me that it wasn't crazy, and for encouraging me to write it.
He stormed into your living room, rage storming in his eyes. His aura was a swirling void of red and black. He shouldn’t have been able to break the locks on your front door, he shouldn’t have been able to walk right through your magical wards, but here he was. You straightened your posture and stood your ground, determined to not let him see how terrified you were.
“How did you get in here?”
“Really?” He pulled a glowing amulet from out of his shirt. “Not that hard when you have a little help. Benefits of having hunters for friends.”
Your eyes went wide as you realized what you were looking at. It was an enchanted amulet, one strong enough to get through your warding. You could only hope that it wasn’t strong enough to dampen your powers.
“Yeah, that’s right,” he smirked. “I know what you are. Makes me a wonder what else you haven’t been telling me.”
“Alex, get out! I don’t want to hurt you, but I will if I have to.”
“You little bitch!” he spat back. “You think you can just break up me? You think you can just walk away?
“I can and I did. We’re done, Alex, it’s over. You don’t get to hurt me anymore. It’s not my fault that your fragile, insecure male ego can’t take a fucking hint.”
“Bitch, I’ll fucking hurt you whenever I fucking want to! And I don’t see your little biker friends here to protect you.…”
Then he charged, and suddenly you were on the ground with his hands around your throat.
“Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live!”
You could feel the murderous intent radiating off him, and put your hands on his chest, trying to push him off you, but then you felt the release of kinetic energy through your palms, and Alex was flying across the room. He hit the wall, and you prayed to whatever goddess was listening that the sickening crack you heard was just the drywall breaking behind him. But then his eyes rolled back in his head, and his head lolled to one side, at what could only be described as an “unhealthy looking” angle. His lower body twitched a few times before going limp. He hung there for a moment, suspended in the air, pinned to the wall by your invisible force. Still shaking in terror, you finally lowered your hands, and Alex’s lifeless body fell to the ground with a thud.
*********************
“No!” you cried out, sitting bolt upright on your couch. You were covered in a cold sweat and your whole body was shaking. Your lungs gasped for air and your eyes darted around the room, searching for Alex, but he wasn’t there. You weren’t even in your old house anymore. You held your hand in your hands and took deep breaths. You were in your apartment, in Santo Padre, Alex was dead, and you were safe. The Saturday afternoon sun streamed in through the window, and the TV was still on, a marathon of Guy’s Grocery Games playing at a low volume.
“I must have fallen asleep,” you said softly to yourself, “it was only a nightmare.”
You grabbed your phone off the coffee table and checked the time. It was only 3:30, plenty of time to shower and freshen up before Bishop would pick you up at 6. You stood, and after checking your locks and wards, made your way to the bathroom.
***********************
Despite your best efforts to push them down, the memories of what happened next came flooding back as you stood under the warm shower spray. You had been in shock, understandably so, but you were now exposed as a witch, and had to protect yourself. The logical side of your brain kicked in and you got to work. After verifying that Alex was dead, you had used your telekinetic abilities to rip the amulet off his neck. A quick examination verified that it had only been enchanted enough to allow Alex to breach your magical wards without getting zapped, but not enough to block your own powers. The enchantment was also crude and amateurish, probably done in haste by someone with limited knowledge of witchcraft. He had mentioned having hunters for friends, and you cursed yourself for not sensing that sooner. He hadn’t been one himself. You would have read that in his aura the moment you met him, but you also hadn’t sensed his dark side. The mentally and emotionally abusive and manipulative side, the one that turned violent during an argument when you had tried to call him out on his bullshit and break up with him the first time. You had ended up in the hospital, and when you confronted him the second time, you had friends with you to back you up. And after destroying the amulet, those were the friends you called on for help with your predicament.
The Blood Moon Motorcycle Club was a found family werewolf pack, led by Jack Reynard, a fearsome and intimidating Alpha. But Jack was fiercely protective of his friends and allies and didn’t hesitate to show up with four of his most trusted lieutenants when you called and tearfully explained your situation. They got to work cleaning up the scene and going through Alex’s phone and wallet. They found a business card for an elite and dangerous organization of hunters, and the contact’s name and number on the card matched up with one of the contacts in Alex’s phone. Jack told you to start packing your bags and to make sure that you included any magical artifacts that you had. You would spend the night at their clubhouse under round-the-clock security, and in the morning, they would get you out of town. Anything that couldn’t be packed that night would be shipped to you once you were settled elsewhere. They would dispose of the body; it wasn’t the first time they’d had to do so.
Jack had called Bishop Losa, president of the Mayans Motorcycle Club in Santo Padre, California. Jack and Bishop had served together in the Marines in their younger days, and the Mayans and the Blood Moons were allies as a result of that friendship. The Mayans were another found family werewolf pack and protected Santo Padre alongside the Galindo Pack. The town was a safe haven for all supernatural beings and the humans who lived there were none the wiser.
And now you had been here for six months. You worked in a bookshop owned by another a witch, Matilda, and lived in the apartment above it. In addition to the books, you also sold your homemade herbal teas and did Tarot card readings in the shop. 2-3 times a week you would bake cookies and muffins and sell those in the shop. Your teas were so popular that you now did tea making demonstrations on Saturday mornings. You were thriving but were still plagued by nightmares and PTSD and attended therapy once a week to help you work through your struggles.
And then there was Bishop. At first, the Mayan president and Alpha had been your friend and protector. You had been too traumatized to even think about pursuing a relationship, and so you both denied the unquestionable and inexplicable attraction. The more you got to know each other, the more you were drawn to each other. Two months ago, he finally made a move while the two of you had been outside getting some air at a party at the Mayans clubhouse, asking if he could kiss you. You’d been a couple ever since.
*********************
You had just finished lacing up your boots when you heard the sound of a familiar motorcycle pull up to your building. You ran to the window and looked down to the street. You saw Bishop getting off his bike and removing his helmet. You exited your apartment and ran down the stairs, meeting him at the entrance at the side of the building. You threw your arms around his neck and kissed his lips. His arms encircled your waist and pulled you close.
“Hola Querida, you look beautiful.”
“Thanks, you’re not too bad, yourself, handsome.”
That got a chuckle from the Alpha. He removed one of his arms from around your back, revealing the bouquet of roses in his hand. “These are for you.”
“Bish, they’re gorgeous, thank you. You shouldn’t have.”
“And pass up the opportunity to surprise you? Not a chance.”
“Come on up. I’ll put these in water, grab a few things, then I’ll be ready to go.”
Bishop nodded and held onto your hand as he followed you up the stairs.
************************
You held onto Bishop as the two of you went speeding down the back roads, away from Santo Padre. You loved dates like this: just you and Bishop on the bike, heading somewhere unknown, away from all the stress and bullshit of the day-to-day. His torso felt warm, sturdy, and safe. You could feel the vibrations from bike rattling through your body as you watched the scenery fly by. You’d been on the road for at least half an hour now.
“Almost there, Querida,” Bishop called back. “You’re gonna love this spot, I promise.”
After a few more minutes he pulled off the road and the motorcycle slowed to a stop. Bishop turned off the engine and stored the keys in his pocket. You both got off and removed your helmets. You looked around at the small, wooded area and smiled, breathing in the fresh air.
“This is nice, babe.”
“Oh, this isn’t the spot, “he told you, unlatching the soft fleece blanket and cooler from the back of his bike. He handed you the blanket. He took the cooler in one hand and grabbed your free hand with his other, interlacing his fingers with yours. “It’s this way.”
You walked for a few minutes down a short path before finally arriving at a grassy clearing. The view was breathtaking. You could see everything from your elevated perched; Santo Padre, the valley, green leafy trees swaying in the breeze, fields of wildflowers. A sense of calm settled over you that you hadn’t felt in months. You didn’t jump when Bishop came up behind you and slid his arms around your mid-section, instead relaxing into his touch and leaning against his sturdy frame. Bishop softly kissed your shoulder.
“You okay, baby?”
“Yeah,” you sighed, “this is perfect, this place in perfect. The energy here is so peaceful, and so alive. I love it.”
“I’m glad. I was thinking we could eat dinner, watch the sunset? And wait until the stars come out…You can show me all the constellations?”
You turned and slid your arms around his neck, resting your forehead against his.
“You would have thought that you were such a romantic?”
“Just don’t tell anyone, okay? Gotta maintain my tough guy image, you know?”
“Mmm…your secret is safe with me.” You pecked his lips once, twice, three times, each kiss lasting a bit longer than the rest. When you finally pulled your head away you noticed that the blanket was laid out on the ground with cooler sitting on top.
“Come on,” said Bishop, directing you over to it. You both sat down, and Bishop opened the cooler and started setting out its contents: sandwiches from the local deli, fresh strawberries from the farmer’s market, giant cupcakes from the gourmet bakery, a bottle of beer for each of you, and bottled water. He popped the caps off the beer bottles and handed you one. “Cheers.”
The two of you sat and ate, completely at ease with each other, and the conversation flowed easily. Bishop told you about the day’s antics down at the scrapyard, and you told him about the business plan you and Matilda were working on to expand the bookshop into the empty café next door.
“The theory is, that having a space to sell food and drinks will drum up more business. I can sell my tea and baked goods and do my demonstrations there. We would obviously need to hire some extra people to help, but I think we can make it work. We can’t tear down the wall between the buildings and expand without the proper permits.”
“I’m sure the town will approve whatever permits you need. They’re not going to say to ‘no’ to something that will bring more business into Santo Padre.”
“Wow, you weren’t kidding about the sunsets,” you said, gazing at the red, orange, and purple hues of the evening sky. “How did you find this place?”
Bishop laid down on the blanket and you stretched out next him, placing your head on his chest.
“Me and the guys had just come back from a run,” he began, “Things didn’t go so well, and I was pissed, needed to blow off some steam so I just rode around for a while. Next thing I knew, I was here. I shifted, ran around for a while until my head was clear. I come back whenever I need to get away from everything.”
You tilted your head up to meet his gaze. “Thank you for bringing me here. I needed this.”
Bishop caressed your cheek with his fingers. “You’re welcome, Querida. I’ll bring you up here whenever you want.”
“Bish, can I ask you a personal question?”
“Of course, Querida, you can ask me anything,” he replied with a chuckle.
“Can I see you in your wolf form sometime? There’s no pressure, only if you want to…”
Bishop mulled the question over in his head. You had caught him off guard with the query. None of the women he’d ever been with had asked to see his wolf form, not even his ex-wife. These days, he only shifted when it was absolutely necessary. There were advantages to being an older and more experienced wolf. He could shift at will and didn’t have to worry about losing control. But what if you didn’t like what you saw? What if he scared you away? He’d never forgive himself if that happened. Your soft, sweet voice interrupted his thoughts.
“Bish, I’m sorry, forget I said anything- “
“No, it’s okay,” he kissed your forehead, “I just wasn’t expecting that question. I’ll do it if you want me to, but just be prepared, okay? I promise I won’t hurt you, but it might not be what you’re expecting.”
“I trust you completely, and I promise, I won’t be scared.” You looked at his aura and saw the hesitancy there. He was scared. “You’re not going to lose me.”
He cupped your face with his hand and his lips found purchase with yours. He had a way of kissing you that made your mind go blank and get lost in the moment, and you loved every minute of it. You kissed him back with equal fervor, hoping that somehow you were able to convey the trust and faith you had in him. The smile on his face when you broke away seemed to indicate that you’d been successful.
Bishop rose and walked a few feet away.
“What are you doing?” you asked, confused by his actions.
“Shifting is a lot easier without clothes on,” he replied with a wink, beginning to undress.
“I’ll close my eyes and give you some privacy then,” you giggled, shutting your eyes, but occasionally cracking one open to steal glimpses of his increasingly naked form; and damn if you didn’t like what you saw!
Bishop finished disrobing and crouched down on the soft grass. He breathed deeply and cleared his mind, focusing his intention. He felt his muscle start to ripple and his joints and bones shift. It didn’t hurt at his age; it was just slightly uncomfortable. All his senses sharpened. Body hair became fur, his hands and feet morphed into oversize paws with razor sharp claws. Even his teeth changed shaped, becoming longer and more pointed. A few moments later, he stretched and shook out his fur. He looked over towards you, still sitting there with your eyes closed, and cautiously padded toward you.
************************
You could hear the footfalls of his paws, and then felt his large wet nose nudging your arm. You opened your eyes and saw a massive wolf standing before you. His fur was brown and black, with specks of gray in various places. His legs were strong, and his paws appeared large enough to take out a person with one blow. But his eyes, his eyes were gentle, and you would know them anywhere.
“Oh, Bishop, you’re beautiful!”
He sat and cocked his head to one side, appearing confused.
“Yes, you heard me correctly. May I?” You held out your arms to him. Bishop bowed his head and leaned forward, allowing you to embrace him and bury your face in his fur. “Your fur is so soft!”
He put his head on your shoulder and let out a contented groan when your fingers began to massage the spot right between his ears. You giggled at that. “I take it you like that, huh?” Bishop lifted his head and licked your face in response, making you laugh even harder. You massaged his head for a little while longer before resting your forehead against his. “Thank you for letting me see you like this. I love you, Bishop.”
There was suddenly a very naked, human man in your arms. Bishop’s hands cupped your face, his eyes scanning it for any indication that he might have misheard you.
“Bish- “
“Say that again, Querida.”
“I said, I love you, Obispo Losa.”
Bishop pulled you into his lap and pressed his lips to yours, kissing you with more intensity and tenderness than he ever had before. Any doubts that you may have had about him not feeling the same quickly melted away. It went on for what felt like forever before the two of you had to pull away and come up for air.
“I love you, too, mi reina.”
You held onto one another like that for while before Bishop got dressed and rejoined you on the blanket. You spent the rest of the evening wrapped in each other’s arms and gazing at the night sky. And when a shooting star passed overhead, you made a wish that you could stay this way forever. No more looking over your shoulder, no more nightmares; just you and Bishop, ready to take on whatever the future might hold.
feelings are fatal (17/24)
summary: After the events of Endgame, you struggle to come to terms with what you’ve lost, though you’re learning that you still have something to gain.
chapter warnings: swearing, violence, creepy men
a/n: HEYYYYY HAPPY TWO YEAR BLOG BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!
Bucky’s heart was pounding as he finally shook the last of the Hydra goons that had been chasing him, glancing every which way just to double check.
He didn’t feel good about this.
It hadn’t even been ten minutes since the two of you had gotten separated, and he hated it. Granted, he always hated being away from you, had since you were fifteen.
Back then it was because he didn’t trust the Red Room instructors. Now it was because he was in love with you and being away from you made him feel like a part of his heart was missing.
Speed walking towards the entrance of Coney Island, he dug his phone out of his pocket and dialed Pepper’s number.
“Oh, my god, thank god. What the hell is wrong with you?” Pepper demanded angrily of him. “Do neither of you know how to answer your phones? Are you okay?”
“I don’t know,” he said. He could hear his blood pumping in his ears. “We had to separate so I could try to lead the bad guys away, but they just… disappeared. I’m heading for our meeting spot now.”
Morgan and a few other kids were babbling in the background about how their day had gotten cut short, but he knew that the littlest Stark would understand better than anyone else once they explained to her.
Pepper was suspiciously quiet for… a long time. A long, long time.
“Pepper?” Bucky whispered, his voice cracking.
There was an unspoken question between them.
What if he’d fucked up?
Should he have stayed with her?
What if they’d gotten to her?
And one that was looming over his head, heavier than ever.
What if he never got to tell you how he felt?
“I’m here,” she said reassuringly.
“What if…” Bucky’s heart cracked inside of his chest. His throat was closing up with each passing second, his flesh palm sweaty. Keeping his grip on his cell phone was becoming a challenge. “What if I n-never g-get to tell her h-how I feel?”
“Don’t think like that.”
“God, I’m so fucking stupid,” he cursed as he made his way to the aquarium. His eyes flickered around the crowd, almost hoping he’d see the two women from earlier. They would’ve recognized you and might’ve seen you.
But there was no sign of them.
“Those fucking special skills or whatever would really come in fucking handy right now,” he cursed. With the way people were parting like the Red Sea in front of him, he knew he probably had his less-than-friendly expression on.
His Murder Face, as you called it.
Or his Resting Bitch Face, according to Sam.
Bucky ran his vibranium hand over his face as he tried not to panic. For one, he hadn’t even gotten to the meeting spot yet. Most likely, you were there waiting for him and he was worrying over nothing. “Tony and Natasha will haunt me forever if I let something happen to her.”
A sigh resounded over the phone. “You didn’t let something happen to her, Bucky. Hell, we don’t even know if something is wrong with her yet. But they both know that you have… you have literally devoted your entire being to taking care of her, protecting her. You did what you thought was the best option in the moment. And maybe… Maybe there was no getting out of that ambush without something happening to one of you.”
Rounding the corner to the tunnel, his heart stopped inside his chest.
You weren’t there.
“Bucky? Bucky? What’s going on? You there? What’s happening?”
It was like the world around him had gone fuzzy, and all he could hear was a ringing in his ears.
You weren’t there.
You weren’t there, and it was all his fault.
He told you to go to the tunnel.
How fucking stupid was he? The tunnel was possibly the worst place he could’ve told you to go to. It’s closed off, a literal tube with water all around you except two very small exits that were easily blocked.
What had he done?
Slumber had come easy for you for once. You were so exhausted, even your bones weary, from dancing all day. And by all day, that meant for over twelve hours because of your sadistic new instructor.
The last one had been… disposed of.
You’d woken at sunrise as usual and gone straight to ballet, only for the instructor to not let you go after the normal three hour class.
The rest of the girls filed out of the dance studio, some glancing back at you in curiosity.
There was no worry in their eyes. It was every girl for themselves these days.
If you thought real hard, you could remember a time when you all looked out for each other. You would braid each other’s hair, give a warning if any of the instructors or Madame B were near. If someone didn’t wake up when they were supposed to, the girls would shake her awake and help her get ready on time.
But that time was no more.
Those that ran the infamous Red Room didn’t like when their… students banded together. Things were better for them when you all hated each other and sought ways to sabotage the others.
It made you more likely to kill during a sparring session, and they only wanted girls who were willing to go all the way.
“Is there something you needed from me, madam?” You asked, your hands folded behind your back, spine straight, your chin high.
Good posture had been beaten into you within a week of arrival.
You didn’t forget a lesson like that anytime soon.
The instructor was new to you girls, though you had been told she wasn’t new to the Red Room. She’d been one of you, once upon a time.
One of the few who had survived to graduation, and then lived long enough after to be brought back as an instructor.
“I’m told you’re a prodigy,” she drawled as she slowly walked towards you, her platinum blonde hair pulled into a tight ballerina bun much like your own. While all of you girls wore black leotards, hers was a pale lilac, a shimmering rehearsal skirt tied around her waist that swished around her thighs. “That you are Madame B’s new pride and joy… Though, just based on your dancing, there is absolutely nothing to be prideful of. It is a surprise to me that you haven’t been… taken care of.”
The implication was clear.
Just based on that morning’s class, she thought you were bad enough at ballet to be killed.
Was it possible she just wanted you executed now? Was she about to do so?
Even though Madame B would be pissed, there were more girls that they could train. She’d only be upset for so long before she’d have a new prodigy, a new pride and joy.
Before the Soldat would have a new trainee.
Before your Soldat would have a new trainee. All the other Soldats could have all the trainees they wanted, but your Soldat, your Seven… The thought of him training another girl made bile rise up in your throat.
“Do you have pointers for things I could work on, madame?” You asked, shoulders tensing as she circled you. Like a vulture ready to scavenge a dying animal.
“I simply thought I could lend you some extra practice time,” she said, a sickly sweet smile spreading over her lips as she looked you up and down. “And don’t worry about Madame B and your other instructors. I already let them know that I wanted extra time with you today.”
The way she was speaking was setting off alarms in your mind.
“Perfect,” you said clearly, not letting your fear show. The instructors could smell fear and would use it against you until your heart stopped beating.
“Do you know the role of Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty ballet?” She asked, eyes cold. When you nodded, she chuckled. “Good. You’ll be dancing it on pointe, start to finish. Now.”
You were shocked when she then turned and started the music, but you did as she said.
Now, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty is his longest ballet ever, at almost four hours long.
And you danced all of it.
“Below average,” the instructor said, glaring daggers at you. “Again.”
You needed water desperately, your lungs fighting for air as you pretended to be unbothered by having done that by taking slow, even breaths.
But you had to do it again.
And again.
Every time you finished, she gave some comment about how your dancing was shit, how you’d never be good enough.
At this point, you wished she would simply kill you and get it over with. You were exhausted and your muscles felt like they were going to give out at any moment.
“MALEN’KAYA!”
You fell out of your pirouette in your shock, gasping as your ankle twisted and you fell to the ground. “Fuck!”
Your Soldat stormed into the dance studio as you looked up, eyes wide.
When had he gotten back? He’d been on a mission for the past few days, and fuck, you’d missed him something fierce.
“Soldat,” the instructor breathed out as she stopped moving, staring up at him with blue eyes. “Remember me?”
“Yes,” he said, glaring at her like she was a pile of dog shit he’d stepped in.
She moved towards him, her hand coming to rest on his chest. “I was hoping to see—” She was cut off as he raised his hands to hold her face. The harsh woman looked so… soft for him. “I missed you. Did you miss me?”
“No,” he snarled, his voice dropping almost an octave. “You should’ve thought twice before touching my malen’kaya.”
The light that had been in her eyes when she first saw him quickly disappeared as she realized she was totally, and utterly, fucked.
Your heart caught in your throat as he so easily twisted her head, a loud snap ringing through the air. He let her limp, lifeless body fall to the ground with a thump before turning and rushing to you. The darkness that had been in his face was long gone as he pulled you close, his hands running over you to try to find sources of injuries.
It took you a moment to realize he was speaking, your ears ringing as you stared at the dead woman on the ground.
“—you okay? What the hell happened? Who allowed this?” He asked, talking a mile a minute as he checked over you. Once he finally got to your pointe shoes, he took in a shaky breath. “I have to check,” he said as he reached for the pink ribbons tied around your ankles.
In the two years since you’d known him, you’d never seen his hands shake like they were.
Your eyes locked in on his face, his brows furrowed and his cheeks flushed, as he tentatively untied one of your pointe shoes. He slowly slipped it off, his breath catching in his throat as he looked at your foot. It was only when the second one came off that you finally looked at the damage.
Well… You were sure your feet could have looked much worse after dancing for over twelve hours, but… It still wasn’t pretty.
“I’m okay. It doesn’t hurt that bad,” you lied, trying to soothe him.
He was usually much more composed than this, his face harder.
Even when he was feeling a bit nicer, a bit softer, it was nothing like this.
The Soldat shook his head, looking absolutely pissed. “You don’t have to lie. Never lie to me.”
“I’m not lying,” you insisted. “But that might be because right now, they’re numb, so I can’t feel anything at all from about my ankles down. But that does mean I didn’t lie.”
You were attempting to joke with him, lighten up the mood a bit. However, he definitely didn’t seem to be taking the bait.
When you glanced over at the windows, for some reason you were surprised to see how late it was. “Oh.”
“Yeah,” he drawled as he scooped you up, leaving your pointe shoes behind as he carried you to the locker room. The man was somehow almost completely silent as he set you on a bench and grabbed a first aid kit out of what seemed to be thin air, before gently cleaning away the blood.
Water was dripping somewhere in the locker room, the droplets hitting the tiled floor with soft clinks.
“You were gone,” you whispered, eyes trained on his face. He was still so handsome, even with the frown lines that were starting to appear. Not that you could blame him, everything he’d been through would more than warrant a few wrinkles. “You were gone so long…”
The Soldat’s eyes were soft, despite being the color of the ice that coated the windows. “I know… I can’t stand being away from you, but if I didn’t go… They’d find some way to punish me.” His rough flesh hand cupped your cheek. “And I think they’re starting to catch on that the best way to punish me would be through you, malen’kaya.”
For a second, you thought he was gonna kiss you. From the way his eyes flicked down to your lips and back up again, you could’ve sworn on your life.
But then he took in a deep breath.
And his hand left your cheek.
You tried to push down the disappointment that welled up in your throat, biting your lip.
“Come on, malen’kaya,” he said as he finished wrapping up your poor feet. “Let’s get you to bed.”
The other girls were already sleeping when he carried you into your room, each one of them with a single wrist handcuffed to the bed frame.
“Hate knowing that you’re locked here all night,” Soldat said, his lips brushing against the shell of your ear as he approached the only empty bed in the room. “It’s like… putting a lark in a cage. I don’t like it.”
“I know,” you said. “But… It’s just how it is.” You looked up at him with bright eyes as he laid you down and tucked the blanket in around you, making sure you were nice and cozy before he took your left wrist and cuffed it to the metal frame.
“Get some sleep,” he murmured, brushing his metal fingers along your cheek. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Oh, God…
Everything hurt…
Why did everything hurt?
It was like your head had been shoved under water, but your eyes were too heavy to open.
“—gotta take the video and send it.”
“How do we know he’ll come?”
“Oh, he’ll come. He’ll always come for her.”
Who was that? The voices sounded vaguely familiar, but not quite.
“His precious malen’kaya.”
You slipped back into unconsciousness even as you fought the darkness coming over you, slumping down again.
The clock ticked obnoxiously loud as you sat in the diner booth, your knee pulled up to your chest. A cold cup of half-drank coffee was sitting on the table in front of you.
You’d been waiting over an hour for him to show.
The lunch rush had come and gone, and the waitresses—in their rockabilly uniforms and roller skates—were shooting you pitying looks.
“This is fucking ridiculous,” you huffed as you got to your feet and slammed a crisp twenty dollar bill on the vinyl table top. “He asks me on a fucking date and then doesn’t fucking show. How fucking typical.”
It had only been two days since the mission where he’d asked you out on a date. Your ankle was wrapped, and you were under strict orders to rest.
So, of course, you’d dragged yourself out to this diner that he insisted on taking you to.
Well, meeting you at since you really, really didn’t want to deal with the awkwardness of riding in the same car.
If you were being honest, it hurt. A lot. You’d gotten your hopes up over the past two days, tossing and turning at night as you dreamed of what would happen on your date. Would it go anywhere? Would he end up being the love of your life?
You hadn’t had a crush on anyone since…
Well… Since your Soldat.
You missed him so fucking much.
And he wouldn’t have stood you up.
“Fuck Steve Rogers.”
Your face was flushed as you headed home, storming through the streets of Manhattan to the Avengers Tower. You needed time to stew, and the subway would be too fast.
“I should’ve just stayed home and taken that fucking bubble bath,” you huffed as you got in the elevator and rode up to the residential floors. Even if it had been meant to be a casual first date, you’d done your hair and stressed over your makeup, wearing your nicest pair of leggings and sneakers that didn’t have mud on the bottoms.
And even if the plan had been for it to be casual, you’d been looking forward to flowers and a kiss on the cheek, stealing a fry from his plate and maybe playing footsie under the table.
Just a little.
Like other girls got to do.
The elevator music was getting into your head, and there was no doubt it’d be haunting your dreams. But when the doors opened onto the common area floor, you were just about ready to burst into tears.
Because Steven Grant Rogers was sitting at the kitchen island and eating a sandwich as he laughed at some joke Rhodey made.
You couldn’t believe him. Was this his plan all along?
Steeling yourself, you straightened your spine and walked with purpose, planning on walking right by without even acknowledging him.
But of course, that wouldn’t be your luck.
As soon as Steve caught sight of you, he froze, his blue eyes going wide. Breathing out your name, he quickly scrambled to his feet. “Wait! Wait! Please! I’m so fucking sorry, I completely forgot!”
“It’s fucking fine, Rogers. It’s clearly a sign that this is was a bad idea in the first place,” you said, your voice cold enough to freeze him again.
“What?! No! Please, I’m just…” He groaned as he followed you onto the elevator that would take you up to the other residential floors. “I just had three meetings before noon and completely forgot! That doesn’t mean I don’t want this date with you!”
Taking a breath, you turned on him, glaring at him like he was a piece of dog shit on your shoe. “You know what the cherry on top of this is?” You asked with a laugh. “My first fucking date of my entire fucking life, and I get stood up. Fuck you, Rogers. Fuck. You.”
You’d successfully shocked him, and left him looking like a guppy, his mouth hanging open as he watched you leave him standing there.
When you came to again, you actually found the strength to open your eyes.
The room around you was like every stereotypical hostage room you’d ever seen in real life, and in movies.
Almost like the one Olivia Pope had been in on Scandal.
Though, you had a feeling that this one was real and wasn’t just a fancy set in a warehouse.
“Where am I?” You asked yourself, trying to take stock of everything. “Okay. Head hurts. Expected that. Don’t feel any sharp pains… so he probably shot me with a tranquilizer and not a bullet… Which is probably better for my chances of escape.” It was so fucking cold, your entire body was trembling. “No phone, so no way for the others to track me. Same clothing I was in… so at least there’s that.”
Your voice died as you heard movement beyond the black steel door in front of you, watching as it slowly opened. Your heart sank as you realized who was standing in front of you.
“It’s been too long, malen’kaya.”
