As a college student I cannot STAND the hate female professors get. You’ll meet a professor that everyone has been saying is too strict, stuck-up, and bad at her job and it’s like oh… she’s just an intelligent woman who doesn’t let you do fuck all in her classes because she values the education you are paying thousands of dollars to receive.

Meanwhile male professors always receive so much praise for doing the bare minimum at their jobs. A man has to be just slightly charismatic and everyone forgets that he kind of sucks at what he does

the thing about Irondad is that i can make reality whatever i want and what i want is Tony being a cringe failure when it comes to the parenting side of things and Peter simultaneously being like "yeah he is a fucking loser" and "he's super smart though and learning from him has been awesome" and "but if he would be my dad that'd be cool." like Peter is an unreliable and a biased narrator at the same time so he thinks Tony is cool but in my eyes I know what he is. Tony is actually like "i would die for this kid" but having an emotional conversation feels like he's been asked to drag his bare ass across hot coals. he doesn't even know where to begin to accomplish that task. which is why Peter says things like "oh he doesn't say a lot of things to me about how he feels but i can read between the lines" and in his mind Tony says things that mean another thing but never are *quite* that thing. usually jokes that talk about what he means without having to say it or be vulnerable. in his POV he's freaking out that Peter is missing to the point of being physically ill about it, yet Peter couldn't imagine it's that bad or because losing *him* is the cause of that problem. that's how Irondad really is, and i can make it better because canon is my bitch now

Honestly, thinking about glasses the same way as I do any of my other accessibility devices really drives home how fucking weird people are about them.

Like, I'm trying to imagine going to a restaurant where my server takes my glasses off my face and says they're going to keep them for me "in a safe place" because that's just easier for everyone. But it's okay, because they'll be happy to read the menu for me if I can't read it myself!

That's kind of how I feel every time someone tries to take my cane/wheelchair from me "to get it out of the way" but then assures me they'll bring it back to me if I flag them down later.

Like I'm going to be fucked in a fire either way if someone has taken either my cane or my glasses so maybe don't do that! It's so invasive and unsafe. I don't want to have to wave down my server and ask permission to go pee! I don't want to have to rely on strangers when I do just fine with my accessibility devices!

And if you wouldn't reach onto someone's face and grab their glasses, don't touch their cane or wheelchair, either!
