Hostility in fandoms is actually so so so funny to watch
#im never getting caught up in any drama bc my small circle of friends/mutuals are the only ones i am willing to talk to#hate when fandoms are big and fanon interpretations get so big that they become 'canon' to the fanbase#bc a lot of the time its not even good....#also fanbases can be so toxic like no im good my mutuals got so much shit for over 10 years and they always stayed in their lane#got death threats by association too like god damn yall this pressed over some drawings and text that you cant even properly analyze???#anyways ppl can go be weird (and for me its usually ppl hypersexualizing characters just bc of ships in fandoms) on their blog thats not my#business but lord when i stumble on these blogs like damn youre living like that huh bye bye#yall would not believe how crazy the Mdzsfandom is like oh geez yall still arguing??? let it go dont interact with each other#OH and i can say i am usually safe bc most of my newer interests are things my friends/mutuals wont ever look at so i gotta sit in the#corner and quietly go insane instead lol#and thats when i make a new sideblog and gain maybe 2-4 mutuals in that sphere but thats usually it

I don’t know about the content creating part, but what I am wondering is how do I go about making friends in MDZS fandom or fandoms for specific MDZS characters (do I just comment/tweet/etc. on people’s posts/tweets) when everyone seems to know each other already? I don’t know how many people are open to talking to new people or if they would rather just stay in their circle?

About the anon saying the fandom isnt very open about new content creators: I agree. This could have been me (except it wasnt) I often feel like people only look out for top entries and "the usual" creators but not new stuff from completely new to the fandom ones even. Making one feel discouraged because why would you do something if no one pays any attention to it (its not even about being appreciated but that they are simply ignored) You feel bad and unworthy and untalented. :(
