Im genuinely becoming a fan of the „Aiden reading Lukas’s book and relating a little bit too much to Cassie” headcanon

Mostly because it can either be:

a) a pretty interesting approach to them having potential, but not being able to meet

b) it’s hilarious to imagine Aiden kicking his feet while reading her chapter and going „she’s so me” and „what a queen, I love her” like a book tok girlie

Cassie and Aiden both wanted revenge on Jesse, they teamed up to go get said revenge, they accidentally learned how to be good people who care about others and can ask for help, and then they fall in love and live happily ever after :D

Okay actually posting this. Hav a short aiden/Cassie thing

He doesn’t quite know when it started happening.

Was it when he first stayed out to practice with Cassie? How when he sat down for a snack, he glanced up to watch her and just couldn’t make himself look away.

How about when they were actually in battle with an unexpected swarm of mobs. When he slipped up and missed, and she shoved him to the side to gut the zombie that was focused on him. How it filled his stomach with butterflies.

Or maybe it was the time the four of them sat around their makeshift fire, and she laughed for the first time since joining their ragtag group. Loud and clear, and it almost felt like the old days. When they were the Ocelots.

Did it start when she saved him? Not like those other times, where it was simply a small slip up, something that could have got him injured. But when she genuinely saved him from death, regardless of the scars and scales her last ditch attempt had left him with. Had that filled him with admiration? Trust?

Hell, it might have been the first time she walked into the city, with an aura that meant nothing short of business. How her first words sent Aiden stumbling over his own, unsure what to say, when that hadn’t happened since he was fresh to this world. Still learning.

Whatever started it, it hadn’t gone away. Not in their weeks of traveling together, through different biomes and worlds. It only grew in strength, blossoming into a feeling he began to recognize.

also partially as a self indulgent post to compliment my friends so lets go!! (yes this does mean that my opinions are going to be bias asf dont come for me--)

polar's artworks is what i like to describe as comforting as it consists of neat lineart and cell shading with glowing effects! they're probably most commonly known for their admin!jesse au, which is a fucking BADASS au with the coolest concept artwork that i've seen?? like hands down, stunning with a stunning execution of it. polar's artwork are like,,, holy shit man. they're such a cool person :)

terracomets

rusty is a phenomenal artist AND writer who has an au series that i cannot recommend enough called Misfit Mania!! He has a BUNCH of great character designs, including ocs and other medias too! i consider him a jack of all trades bc no matter what fandom, no matter what kind of character it is, rusty always succeeds at great portrayal of them :DD his fav character is axel and as a result, he's got a bunch of fantastic axel artwork on his blog!! :)

mcs-art-etc/lukasdoodles

lukasdoodles has genuinely one of the most unique art styles that i have ever that is both adorable AND menacing /pos at times. their artwork consists of colorful lineart, and INSANELY detailed clothings, like oh my god. they're also INSANELY creative when it comes to it as well, putting in so many ruffles, and belts, and!!! so much more!! not only that but they have a bunch of blaze rods drawings on their blog!! including gill, who i think is one of the underrated characters in mcsm! they also do some animation every now and then, which is always so cool to see!!

zonerz

zonerz is one of those dual part artist and dual part writers with their great artwork and writing! they're really good at putting together lore and is super in-depth when it comes down to the nitty gritty! their armor drawings are really well done and i admire the attention to details with every single one of their drawings!!

fel is one of the coolest fucking people i have ever met and #1 cassie rose fan. their artstyle reminds me of traditional paintings that you would find in a museum, like it is so refined and their character anatomy is ON POINT with how they draw muscles and scars so realistically. their aiden design is also one of the most dazzling to me bc of how they incorporate lightning into his scars. ALSO a huge aidrose fan if not THE president of the goddamn ship. they have so many character analysis on them both together and separately and they're always written SO WELL WITH SO MUCH RESPECT TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL.

a lost crow

crow has a bunch of fantastic mcsm content but one of their most fascinating ones is their command!lukas au, which has a whole story to go alongside it but i won't spoil it ;) and their individual jesse au where every single jesse has their own personality traits and they're so unique and well written!! absolutely love both au to bits!

acraftedmistake

acraftedmistake's art is unique in the sense that it is purely traditional and takes great advantage of paper texture as well as textures from markers and pens to make its presence known! to add to that, they do a bunch of mcsm work themed around horror! i do need to put a warning that they sometimes involve gore though it is very artistically done!! phenomenal artist!!

Zhenya has enough content to the point where i can make an entire POST this long to talk about her and the absolutely stunning drawings she makes about mcsm, particularly about the old order of the stone. she excels at drawing ivor, harper, and soren the most, though she has dwelved into other characters that haven't had the most light shed on them. my absolute favorite thing about her artwork is her artstyle because it is this GORGEOUS sketchy style where both the colors and the lines express themselves SO WELL and SO EFFECTIVELY! i can go raving mad about it honestly

Nova's artwork, i would like to define it, is filled with love and care. Her lineart and coloring patterns are colorful and light, as if they were drawn for the illustration for a book series, filled with so much delight. Nova's specialty is how she both writes and draws Ellegaard with so much appreciation for her character and through her portrayal of her. It's nothing short of dedication and heart. Nova's other works are also great as well and they do a lot to show Nova's artistic talent.

Hey y’all so I wanna talk abt some ships that I love/have some things to say!

MCSM:

Reggie x Romeo (Reggeo): MY COMFORT SHIP. MINE. NO ONE ELSES. I MADE IT. Like actually, there’s no trace of this ship before I started posting abt it. But in all seriousness, I really do enjoy this ship a lot. Maybe that’s bc I made it, but still. I love the idea of them being long lost lovers brought back together by The Blaze Rods who were given a fresh start, just like Romeo was. Reggie and Romeo raising the three bastards as their own is just 🤌

Aiden x Cassie (AidRose): yes I am friends with Zoomie, how did you know? All jokes aside, the ship is very cute and I think the dynamics work really well!

Maya x Jesse (Mayesse): AW THE SKRUNKLYS!! SKRUNKLES IN LOVE!! I really do like this ship even tho it doesn’t really make sense. It’s just cute, plain and simple :D

Axel x Gil (AxGil): no idea where this came from but *holds gently*

While I stand by the idea of Talia being a real person and Mischa truly being in love with her, the way these two play off of each other in the show is so cute. I see it more of them being best friends and slowly growing closer into something more :)

Constance x Jane (no ship name yet): it came to me in a dream. I’ve been having really vivid dreams lately. One of them involved these two being gay.

Knack:

Okay there’s only really two ships in this game and I don’t like either of them.

Ava x Lucas: not canon bc Ava is my gf /lh

Okay but on a real note, I’m just not super big on this ship. I feel like Ava views the boys as her brothers. Like the way her and Knack talk in the game RADIATES sibling energy. Also, she knows that Lucas likes her pretty early on (chapter four I believe??) and she never acted on it. Sure, she was still under Xander’s control basically, but even after she split from him she didn’t say anything to him abt his little crush. HELL, KNACK MAKES FUN OF HIM FOR IT!! MULTIPLE TIMES!!!

Ryder x Katrina: Katrina is purple meaning she’s aroace so she has no interest in anyone ever /hj

Okay but I genuinely think this ship is creepy. She has the most advanced security system ever just to keep Ryder OUT. I think that makes it pretty evident that she doesn’t like him.

Also Knack is aroace bc I’m aroace and I said so

Sally Face:

I don’t like any of the ships in this game other than Todd x Neil. That’s all I have to say. Sal x Larry shippers are on my DNI list too bc that’s incest 😍

the day people make posts expanding on mcsm lore and relationships and making new ocs and scenarios instead of shipping lukesse/any other random pair is the day i die happy (cassden is an exception. i love cassden forever and ever)

not that shipping is bad but like i wish ppl touched more on the potential of mcsm and writing their own stuff instead of just…. Focusing on those two guys ™️

Then I have some good news for you friend, cause people already do that! I know lots of talented people who make great MCSM content, ranging from alternate universes to original characters to whole new stories, you name it. One of the many accounts I'm obsessed with at the moment is @mcsmremake, who are making a fully animated remake of MCSM! Might I suggest you check them out, I think you'll find their content to your liking. What I mean to say is, people have been doing all the things you mentioned since the game's release, I've seen it happen.

And did you know that all those things you said,,,, can still be done while shipping, for example, Lukesse? Or any other ship for that matter. Shipping and expanding on the lore can go hand in hand, it doesn't have to be one or the other. And yes, it is true that MCSM is so much bigger than just Lukas and Jesse, but you can rest assured that there are many people out there determined to create all sorts of MCSM content, not just about the two of them. Myself included :).

Personally, I find my forte when it comes to writing is character relationships, whether it be platonic or romantic, my published works make that much clear. Not that long ago I posted a short Lukesse fic over on AO3, and I'm currently working on an Aidrose/Cassden short story that focusses on their individual and joint growth and development, tied neatly together in a lighthearted ribbon for your pleasure. It's still very much a work in progress at the moment, but feel free to check it out when it's published. I know the Aidrose community has always been kinda low on content (stay strong Aidrose nation I love you).
