HEYYYYY I know you mentioned looking for MCSM fics and I gotta recommend Wish We Were Kids Again 👀 It’s an Aidrose sky city AU fic, with sparse lore (which I can explain cause to quote narnia “I was there when it was written)

Aidrose in Sky City is such an interesting premise with so much potential too, I'm actually writing a roommate AU with with that gist right now (which I realize might sound like self promo now that I type it out but I promise it's not I just know Aidrose content is kinda scarce so I figured it might be in your interest aha)

I am so very in the minority for this, but all the ships in Minecraft Story Mode that I like are straight. I don’t love m!jesse x Petra very much (I don’t care for any ship with Petra, it doesn’t suit her.) But straight Lukesse (for fluff reasons)? HumanRomeo x FemJesse (for angst reasons)? AideRose? Harpvor? I’ve never shipped this many things in any other fandom.

Hey y’all so I wanna talk abt some ships that I love/have some things to say!

MCSM:

Reggie x Romeo (Reggeo): MY COMFORT SHIP. MINE. NO ONE ELSES. I MADE IT. Like actually, there’s no trace of this ship before I started posting abt it. But in all seriousness, I really do enjoy this ship a lot. Maybe that’s bc I made it, but still. I love the idea of them being long lost lovers brought back together by The Blaze Rods who were given a fresh start, just like Romeo was. Reggie and Romeo raising the three bastards as their own is just 🤌

Aiden x Cassie (AidRose): yes I am friends with Zoomie, how did you know? All jokes aside, the ship is very cute and I think the dynamics work really well!

Maya x Jesse (Mayesse): AW THE SKRUNKLYS!! SKRUNKLES IN LOVE!! I really do like this ship even tho it doesn’t really make sense. It’s just cute, plain and simple :D

Axel x Gil (AxGil): no idea where this came from but *holds gently*

Noel x Mischa (Nischa):

While I stand by the idea of Talia being a real person and Mischa truly being in love with her, the way these two play off of each other in the show is so cute. I see it more of them being best friends and slowly growing closer into something more :)

Constance x Jane (no ship name yet): it came to me in a dream. I’ve been having really vivid dreams lately. One of them involved these two being gay.

Knack:

Okay there’s only really two ships in this game and I don’t like either of them.

Ava x Lucas: not canon bc Ava is my gf /lh

Okay but on a real note, I’m just not super big on this ship. I feel like Ava views the boys as her brothers. Like the way her and Knack talk in the game RADIATES sibling energy. Also, she knows that Lucas likes her pretty early on (chapter four I believe??) and she never acted on it. Sure, she was still under Xander’s control basically, but even after she split from him she didn’t say anything to him abt his little crush. HELL, KNACK MAKES FUN OF HIM FOR IT!! MULTIPLE TIMES!!!

Ryder x Katrina: Katrina is purple meaning she’s aroace so she has no interest in anyone ever /hj

Okay but I genuinely think this ship is creepy. She has the most advanced security system ever just to keep Ryder OUT. I think that makes it pretty evident that she doesn’t like him.

Also Knack is aroace bc I’m aroace and I said so

Sally Face:

I don’t like any of the ships in this game other than Todd x Neil. That’s all I have to say. Sal x Larry shippers are on my DNI list too bc that’s incest 😍

Anyways that’s it! Not really much to say but I think it’s obvious where my alignment is with ships hehe

the day people make posts expanding on mcsm lore and relationships and making new ocs and scenarios instead of shipping lukesse/any other random pair is the day i die happy (cassden is an exception. i love cassden forever and ever)

not that shipping is bad but like i wish ppl touched more on the potential of mcsm and writing their own stuff instead of just…. Focusing on those two guys ™️

Then I have some good news for you friend, cause people already do that! I know lots of talented people who make great MCSM content, ranging from alternate universes to original characters to whole new stories, you name it. One of the many accounts I'm obsessed with at the moment is @mcsmremake, who are making a fully animated remake of MCSM! Might I suggest you check them out, I think you'll find their content to your liking. What I mean to say is, people have been doing all the things you mentioned since the game's release, I've seen it happen.

And did you know that all those things you said,,,, can still be done while shipping, for example, Lukesse? Or any other ship for that matter. Shipping and expanding on the lore can go hand in hand, it doesn't have to be one or the other. And yes, it is true that MCSM is so much bigger than just Lukas and Jesse, but you can rest assured that there are many people out there determined to create all sorts of MCSM content, not just about the two of them. Myself included :).

Personally, I find my forte when it comes to writing is character relationships, whether it be platonic or romantic, my published works make that much clear. Not that long ago I posted a short Lukesse fic over on AO3, and I'm currently working on an Aidrose/Cassden short story that focusses on their individual and joint growth and development, tied neatly together in a lighthearted ribbon for your pleasure. It's still very much a work in progress at the moment, but feel free to check it out when it's published. I know the Aidrose community has always been kinda low on content (stay strong Aidrose nation I love you).
